taking him away from the sun! mean to him!!!!

but. i am in fact, considering it. vampires not as undead creatures (because that brushes up a bit too close onto the bum spirit deal AU's uh... deal) but a form of a Fire Nation spirit curse. for a long time, it was simply considered a myth until some fool brought proof of its existence before Ozai and you know his ass was like

'hm. we can use this.'

so he does. the Earth Kingdom has a Fire Nation and a vampire problem. they cannot fucking win. speaking of guys who cannot win- world's unluckiest fire nation prince gets on the wrong side of one and ends up bitten and turned. but he has something on his side that most don't- and that's iroh.

iroh is going to save his nephew.

he prays to any spirit that is willing to listen to him. he will do anything they ask, if they will help his nephew. it is the moon spirit who answers- and she tasks not iroh but zuko with exterminating the vampires who are starting to become a problem. if he kills them all, she'll grant him a boon.

in short order zuko

a.) becomes a vampire

b.) learns that his father was the one behind using vampires as a method to overtake the earth kingdom

c.) becomes much more aware of the violence the fire nation is inflicting upon the world as a result

d.) uncle talks him into treason so much more easily

or: ozai's plan to use vampires to conquer the earth kingdom was going great, until the blue spirit shows up. then it is decidedly going less great. two and a half years later, the gaang will run into the blue spirit in a town that's having vampire trouble and end up working with him to get rid of it.

zuko quickly realizes a) that's the fucking avatar and b.) they don't know he's a vampire. aang takes an interest in the blue spirit and asks if he'll come with them to the north pole. zuko turns him down- his nocturnal lifestyle doesn't make him a good traveling companion. just ask uncle. they part ways there.

...then the avatar gets himself captured.

zuko sighs. breaks the avatar out. takes an arrow to the head. has a vision of the moon spirit talking to him who says she'll grant him that boon a little early, if he agrees to accompany the avatar. zuko wakes up. it's daytime, but for some reason he isn't dead. moon spirit made him a daywalker. the avatar asks zuko if he'd like to come with him again.

...sure?

So! The Teen Titans had been chasing down a Cult lately, and they had finally managed to track down their main bases location.

Unfortunately, they got there just a bit too late and the Summoning Ritual they had been preforming was finished. The Being they had been calling crawled up and out of the Circle drawn in Blood on the floor.

And Raven felt her heart Stop. Because that Being crawling it's way out of the Summoning Circle looked almost exactly like her Father's True Form. But also different.

Where her Father's hair was a White Flame, this one's hair looked like Freshly Fallen Snow. Instead of her Father's Blood Red Skin, this being had Icy Blue Skin. And most strikingly, In place of her Father's Piercing Red Eyes, this being had Lazarus Green Eyes.

But even with all those changes, she could still the similarities in the Bone Structure, the shape of the Jaw, and most importantly the Untold Power radiating off of them.

Before they could react, the Being turned its attention to the Cultists.

"Who Dares Summon, the Ghost King?"

"We do, Out Lord Pariah Dark! We Beseech Thee, take this unclean world and tear it down! Cleanse the World of its Filth!"

"Oh Goddammit, not again." Said the Being, "Look, Pariah hasn't been in Power for Centuries. I, am Phantom. And I don't do the whole 'Destroy all Worlds' thing, you want your own constellation? I'm your guy. Otherwise? Bite it."

"Bu-But my Lord! We summoned you to-"

"Yeah how about no." Said the unimpressed God, "Here, let me send you guys Home. I'll give you guys some riches or something as compensation, but that's it."

And with that, the God snapped its fingers and the cultists disappeared.

"Now, who are you kids?" He turned to them.

Robin stepped forward, "We are the Teen Titans, and originally we came to stop them from Summoning you. Now, I honestly don't know what to do..."

"Oh, you guys are Heroes! That's interesting, I don't come across worlds with Heroes very often." Said the Ghost King, "The last one was the one with those Revengers or whatever they called themselves. The Spider Totem was fun to talk to, and Thor is always..."

As Phantom mumbled to himself, Raven stepped up. "King Phantom, I have a Question. Why do you resemble the true form or Trigon so closely? As his Daughter, I can recognize your similarities easily, and I was curious."

The King stopped dead.

"...daughter?"

"Oh, yes. Trigon is my father, though obviously I haven't talked to him recently." She explained.

"...that asshole." He said, "How could he not tell me I had a NIECE!?"

In your Spitfire AU, since Zuko is looking after Lu Ten II, what happened to Ursa?

Zuko is slightly older in the Spitfire AU. He was banished at fifteen, his head a little clearer and denial a little weaker than in canon. After his first look through the Air Temples, Zuko decides that if he can't find a myth, he might as well search for the next best thing.

Finding Ursa isn't easy, but in time he makes it to a secluded house in a near-forgotten part of the world. His mom is there, older and stronger and alive.

But she isn't alone.

And Zuko, as it turns out, didn't keep the best company during his search.

When Ursa is discovered and her secrets are laid bare for assassins (for Ozai) to find, she begs Zuko to take his little brother and run. She'll do anything it takes to protect her children, even if that means leaving them behind to keep a target off their back. Ursa diverts attention from them and allows Lu Ten's ancestry to be kept a secret. She orders Zuko not to follow her again, and disappears.

Zuko is left with a little three-year-old brother to raise and a mother he cannot hold onto.

the idea came to me in a migraine induced dream but now im obsessed with the concept of a mu qingfang who knew the abuse bunhe was going through at the hands of og!shen qingqiu/shen jiu and did his best to treat the kid whenever he could (and bring his concerns to zhangmen shixiong, which were obviously very much ignored) and his constant worry over the situation means that when the qi deviation happens he is suspicious of shen qingqiu’s changes for all different reasons and very much protective of luo binghe -who is a sweet child and an earnest disciple who seems to always find the most incredible medicinal herbs to bring to his mu shishu as thanks for the care bestowed upon him- which means that when the whole shen qingqiu dying thing happens instead of bad mouthing luo binghe or fighting him at every chance he does his best to come over and keep an eye on things to try and help him and make sure luo binghe won’t kill himself trying to bring shen qingqiu back because he remembers that earnest kid and he’s witnessed luo binghe’s devotion to this shen qingqiu first hand and knows there is no way that the kid who cried when ning yingying found a bird with a broken wing and begged mu qingfang to fix it and the kid that would always borrow medical texts and try to find new herb combinations as if it was a game between him and qian cao disciples is actually doing anything nefarious to shen qingqiu’s corpse.

I've decided the only reason Lloyd, known descendant of dragons, didn't tell this to Egalt, who refuses to train non-dragons, is for the same reason he never mentioned he's the First Spinjitsu Master's grandson. It just never came up. Nobody asked him directly about it. And besides, he's only like, one-fourth dragon, so does it really count? He doesn't look like a dragon, and he has never in his life considered himself a dragon. Mentioning his ancestry to Egalt probably would've just made him look like some hotshot, or make him more annoyed. There's no need to bring up such a silly little fact. He's sure it won't be important later.

Whenever I go to get my brows waxed/threaded, man, these ladies be acting like they don’t know what to do with my brows. My brows are naturally thick like really, REALLY thick, and the lady threaded a little off one brow and was like “I won’t cut more off because it wouldn’t fit your face because it’s much more rounder-“ then I looked into the mirror and was thinking to myself “um, I can barely see a difference 🫤,” and asked her to cut more off and I heard my sis from the back saying that “she wants her brows to look like they were actually done.”

Me: okay maybe I should finally dig out my wall calendar as I'm having trouble keeping track of extended family's birthdays

Me, while redoing said calendar because it's messy: why are there so many birthdays in may and july? it's just considerate

#Demon Spawn #+Extra #theres too many fcking family members and i kept forgetting where id put and to check the diary my mum had filled out with extended family #birthdays but there are birthdays missing from that! she just completely decided against putting any of my dads family but put my aunts #fiancé down as my uncle which um excuse me hes not my uncle until marriage and the guy that was my uncle has also been snubbed cus of the #divorce! theres family politics going down in my diary. my cousin on my dads sides birthday isnt in there and my mum is always late with #birthdays so shell only tell me after its passed which is not helpful. my mum has also had another child since she filled out so she needed #to be added but her birthday is the same month but a couple of days before another siblings so it wouldnt have been chronologically correct #to just add her but my may box is very full. its very stressful to look at theres no need for that many people to be born in may and july #i have a real problem with remembering things that are written down but i cant see. like we had to have a homework journal for school and #i always forgot when i had homework..... because i would forget to check my journal.... my teachers would be like didnt you write it down?#and even when it was written down it didnt help i need to be unable to avoid seeing it it just needs to be out in the open always visible #anyway i was gonna finally put my photos up instead i wrote up my deadlines to put on my notice board and finally filled out ny organisers #which i unpacked in December buried on my shelf and then promptly forgot about because i didnt want to clean off the old whiteboard pen 🙃#im so useless i want a new brain #at least its done now. better late than never and constantly suffering for it

my mom and her little brother (my uncle) both got pets around the same time. i got a cat and my uncle got w puppy. my mom and uncle both said NOTHING about this and hid the fact from their mom (my grandma) for close to a whole year. it was easy for my mom since we live half s world away and I'm not always home with my cat. my uncle however lives like 1-2 hours away from my grandparents and so he kept the puppy in his office space whenever his parents visited. FOR A YEAR.

(they didnt visit often tho so it worked but still lmao)

they both knew my grandma doesn't like the idea of pets (she feels that animals are Outside things and Inside house must be cleaner etc.) so they just. didnt. tell her. but they told each other 😂😂 both of them are middle aged with adult children and yet....

don't tell mom seems to last forever lol

I may have spent an unfortunate part of my last shift before pto explaining to surgeons (plural) (like honest to God holders of a medical degree surgeons) (residents AND THEIR ATTENDING) how tape worked (didn't work, they didn't listen, things went sideways due to their lack of understanding of tape and how it works) but at least my "fuck off to the mountains of Vermont to relax" vacation is also stressing me out to an unnecessary level

#my uncle has finally shared the check in details for the ski trip with a comfy 48 hours to spare #i am rooming with some ladies from massechussetts named sue linda and kim #they are reportedly in their 50s to 60s good skiiers and nice #i have never met them i have no contact information i will be showing up and sharing a suite with them #because in a last minute ploy twist my uncle did NOT ghost me he just booked me with his ski club without telling me until like a week ago #which is great i love last minute plan changes 🫠#i have no idea what they have been told about me either #the good news is that while i have had mixed success with people my own age middle aged women fucking love me #its my primary target audience i think #like i think i can make friends with them #i mean ill need to bc i will be sharing a BEDROOM with one of them its a 2 bed 2bath unit #im also going to canada for dinner at some point in this venture #NO i dont know when or what restaurant thats silly i have just been told to bring my passport #i hope i dont need canadian money bc OOPSIE DOODLE YOU DIDNT REPLY TO ME UNTIL 2 WEEKS BEFORE THE TRIP #and like i was doing well with it until like 2 hours ago but i have NO IDEA what the social dynamica of this trip are gonna be #PLUS my dad is cranky about it bc he has beef with my uncle bc of the family drama™️#and in all actuality they are just nice ski ladies the likes of which ive made exemplary small talk with on the lifts many times before #and i think he just adhd-ed a little too close to the sun and forgot to email me back #but really who the FUCK books an ENTIRE VACATION for someone and forgets to FUCKING TELL THEM #I MADE MY OWN RESERVATION KING SIZE BED ALL TO MY SELF #and yes this is quite literally a quarter of the price and also it is a good thing to be social and make friends and do things with others #so yes i cancelled it and came out like 1500 bucks ahead i have made several stress purchases bc of this #bc heeeeeuuuuuuuuuuurghhhh i have not had enough time to mentally prepare for this i dont know what theyve been told of me #i can only show up with drinks and snacks and my funky self and hope it works #meanwhile my sweet optimistic mother is already saying “MAYBE THEY HAVE HANDSOME SONS!”#linda sue and kim seem like white wine drinkers i think i hope i believe #there is no reason to think they will be anything other than lovely like i have no reason to believe it wont be #and yet 🙃#last minute plan changes make me feel like i am actively being hunted for sport

after like the fifth time in recent memory politely asking and/or frustratedly yelling at them abt it my family is making some effort to refer to me as male. it's really funny and kind of fascinating the contexts in which they remember and which ones they don't. siblings remember when hyperbolically insulting me mom remembers only in social context dad rmbrs it like once a month in the weirdest way possible. meanwhile my extended family bar the senile and/or catholic grandparents seemingly switched over immediately and effortlessly.

#to be clear they've known since i was 11 shit is just complicated. I don't have endless energy to fight over it #but now that im an adult and medically and legally transitioning i think my dad is like #taking the path of least resistance. I don't think he's seriously bothered by me being trans just unwilling to confront any internalized #bigotry ever. like most mildly conservative gen x types. or admitting to making a mistake or having a flaw ever.#everyone else has no real issue with it they just slip up a lot bc they're all used to selectively switching pronouns for dif contexts #like my sister had no issue w it at school but forgets at home and my mom slips up in public bc she's used to hiding it #my brother is just uh. an unhinged adhd riddled middle schooler so God knows what goes on in his head but he occasionally remembers #aunt is cool with it though she's said weird shit b4 and my cousin is like 3 so she does nawt care #my uncle and grandparents uh frankly should all kill themselves for unrelated reasons #and doubtlessly if they managed to even remember have said horrid shit about it behind my back or to my mom #but i actively avoid speaking to any of them at all costs already so idc #except my dads mom i should tell her at some point she's just mega ultra catholic so she'll doubtlessly not like it #but she's also generally a polite person despite her unhinged political views so at least she'll be cool #god knows what the my senile anarchocapitalist grandpa would say. could really go either way #his political views are truly fascinating (ancap is an educated guess. he is insane). could honestly go hard in either direction

You know what sucks? Being a year and a half into transitioning and still not being able to safely come out to my family :D

I want nothing more than to roll up to a family event in my daddiest Hawaiian-print shirt and a full ass beard and be my confidant gay man self.

#i came out to my mom in the fall and it went....well?#she didn't hate me? or question me? but she also refuses to take me seriously and consistently 'forgets' that I'm fucking trans all the tim #so.....i guess it didn't go as well as i originally thought. Ope.#but i want so badly to tell my nephew he has a cool uncle but i can't :D Because my fam can't keep secrets and I'll either wind up homeless #or getting holy water tossed over me #honestly not even joking about that last one. Catholic Grandma does not hesitate to douse you with holy water and has in fact told me that #I've let the devil into my heart and that's why I have PTSD and 'mental issues'#mazz vents #mazz and the trans agenda

Setting: our verse | my verse | your verse | modern | alternate universe | other With the Star Empress designed to fit into canon pretty seamlessly it should be pretty easy to get these two to interact honestly. Especially since it's supposed to be pretty welcoming to Masked Fools.

notes: Honestly I think they have a great potential for some interesting dynamics and interactions considering Rhys' position as a high-ranking member of one of the big name mafia families on the Star Empress. He respects and welcomes the members of the Masked Fools (with one real exception but she's...yeah) even if he trash talks his uncle and his affiliation with them. As long as Sampo doesn't make life harder for Rhys or bring harm to his favorite detective, Rhys will be friendly with him.

notes: Xing being just my slightly customized Trailblazer lends a lot of open room for Sampo and him to interact really! Plus there's the whole Emanator thing you've got with your Sampo plus my leaning towards Xing being an artificial human could lead to interesting plots! And then there's just the canon dynamic of the trailblazer being either gremlin mode or so very done with Sampo's antics depending on the mood that's always fun.
