kinda drives me up a wall when people go "hey i think x action in a war/combat scenario is inhumane and cruel and shitty" and someone responds with "oh but within the laws of war it's allowed or there's procedure for it etc etc". it doesn't have to be a war crime to be unforgivable man it's a shitty rulebook anyway
#like whether or not something's bad isn't determined by whether or not it adheres to arbitrary rules people made up and never obey#i thought we all knew that already. c'mon man. get a grip#obviously war crimes are bad but that's not where the badness potential ends y'know#this post is due to my dad talking about smth i sent him mentioning US troops firing on a bunch of guys in smth on deserters and he was lik#well they're not like citizens or refugees or deserters they're retreating enemy combattants. so it's different.#it IS different but isn't it still like. overly brutal? idk.#like would you want them to pursue Your ppl regardless? are they not allowed mercy just because you proved stronger? your positions could#be swapped easily and you'd think that as fellow combattants you would feel that deeply. idk maybe i'm just too soft or whatever but like.#seems stupid to me. war generally seems stupid to me but this specifically right now seems stupid to me#yes i know there are practical concerns and sacrifices in combat that make sense when you're actually there and me saying there should be n#wars and we should make it a fucking priority to not have wars doesn't mean ppl already in a decision-making role in the field should do#what i (an idealist) would do. they're responsible for minimizing loss and shit. whatever. doesn't mean it's not fucked up anyway.#and that's assuming the best case scenario for a leader in such a position. usually they just want to minimize Their side's losses. usually#by maximizing the other side's. or they just want to win and will sacrifice anyone for it if it's practical#which happens a Lot. usually it's a mix of the latter two to my understanding#as if americans' lives matter more than anyone else's and the other side doesn't have a right to mourn bc they offended us somehow#ugh that shit irks me so bad dude. there'll be like a terrorist attack in europe or smth and the news'll be like#ONE AMERICAN WAS KILLED. and twenty swiss. THE AMERICAN WAS VISITING FAMILY THERE ON SUNDAY MORNING WHEN TRAGEDY STRUCK etc etc#fucking hate that. i don't care if they're on 'my team' or whatever they're all equally human and equally dead#why the hell should i care if one of them was an american. just say 21 people died. like i get reporting on it briefly ig to like notify#ppl At Best but like. it's so grating. why can't you be normal about other people fucking goddamn you#why is this a controversial statement. why is giving a shit about people killing each other (often for like 10 ppl's financial gain) wrong#like. come on. i don't care if they 'deserve it' or whatever because i don't think they do. and even if they Did i don't think it's#America's Time To Step Up!!! every time smth like this happens (but only when it is financially beneficial to us to do so#such that we ignore atrocities all the fucking time bc it's inconvenient. we're not superheros. we're cops.)#not saying america shouldn't do anything bc like. idk. you screw everyone over to have all the power maybe you should use that influence fo#good. but my definition of 'good' is wayyyy way different from everybody who's ever held office here apparently so like. nuts to that#eugh. anyway im cutting myself off here rant over. for now

Hi! I hope you’re accepting imagine ideas, if not that’s cool. If you are I’ve kind of been wondering: how do you think the different yandere mercs would react to learning their counterpart/rival also was yandere for their darling? Ex:, medic is yandere for y/n but soon learns that heavy is yandere for them also. Same goes with rivals like sniper and spy + demo and soldier, stuff like that. I could imagine most would try to get the other merc out of the picture but some may try to work something out. Thanks and have a good day :)
Ooooo that's pretty interesting, I can totally mess with that yeh tw: Yandere themes, maybe some blood, you know how it be and how it do (: Imma do your sniper/spy and demo/solly, since thats a fun dynamic too lol ~~~
Sniper and Spy have been always at each other's throats, but when it came down to meeting someone new who seemed to really catch their attention. They were left to constantly bicker and fight around each other even when you'd be there, it would be slight jabs at each other or ending up beating the ever living christ out of each other until the other finally leaves the two of you be. Sniper would go on and try to hijack anything you would be doing with Spy, whether it would be getting you to come with him in places that would be far away from where Spy might have some wandering eyes. Sniper is whispering sweet nothings into your ear, tempting you with everything you could ever want while he's trying to make sure that nothing would be better than spending nights with him in his camper rather than cooped up with some old smoking rat, right? Spy on the other hand was always trying to gift you things you've had your eye on for a while, showing you different things that he knows would absolutely make you want them. Whether it be jewelry, fancy clothes, items, hell he'd go as far to buy you a new sleek car if you really wanted it. Spy is a gifting man, and if that doesn't keep you away from Sniper, how about a trip to France? Or Spain? Anywhere that would be far enough from the bastard of a bushman just to earn your attention. He knows better than to outright tell you that Sniper was not good enough, besides, he doesn't have to tell you that he's gross, why not show you? After all, what are these totally not doctored pictures doing that he found laying around with Sniper with someone else? How odd. ~~~ Demo and Soldier were always close, spending time together and doing everything together, you'd think that when you came into their lives that they'd actually cooperate and see if they could possibly keep you in both of their lives...which worked for a while. Except Demo was a little hesitant and nervous to let you be by yourself with Soldier, and Soldier was not wanting to spend a minute apart from you. So it's basically Demo playing babysitter and Solly getting to bring you with him on the most dangerous kinda thing he's ever thought of doing. You can imagine the kind of heart attack that Demo had when he saw you and Soldier flying through the air like two proud american eagles. (Soldier's exact words after Demo had to tend to any scratch you might've gotten on the way down, which is nothing but he cant help but be worried.) Soldier follows you wherever you go, to the store? Yup. On a walk? Holding your hand, watching your six. Going to take a nap? Not without him in the room to protect from anyone waking you up, which is usually him yelling at someone to go away and not bother you. Soldier adores you to the moon and back and even more, which means you can do no wrong in his eyes, no matter what you do he's rooting you on and on your side at all times. Which means if anyone ever tells you no, wrongs you, or makes you frown, you bet your ass that their neck is being snapped in an instant. Soldier plays no games and neither does Demo, so they can always be found tag teaming by brainstorming ways that they can make sure some asshole who said something behind your back disappears for the rest of their days. They'd never tell you what happened though, even asking Solly would give you an odd answer that would probably never make sense, but why care about some random person? You have them after all!

I know he's canonically infertile, but do you think Big Boss would have kept the kids if they weren't clones, or at the very least be involved in their lives?
Hello Anon! "They're no sons of mine." "Just a bunch of cells grown in a lab?" "What they are is much sicker than that." -Big Boss and Ocelot, Truth Tapes, MGSV.
Oh man. This is one of those things I waffle on hard. Because I think the real root of BB not wanting to have anything to do with the kids is because their creation, and existence, was born of betrayal.
BB knew people were thinking about him passing his genes along. It's hinted at a little bit in MGS3, if in a sort of 'off-handed' way, but he was certainly aware people around him (like Para Medic) thought about it and had considered it.
To me, one of the key issues with the clones is that he wasn't given a chance to say 'yay' or 'nay'. Everyone just did it behind his back, because they had access to his DNA. That alone (the non-consensual aspect) is more than enough for him to reject his 'sons' completely.
And he isn't wrong to do so, in this regard. The sons themselves are innocent, but that doesn't make it easy for BB to accept them as 'his' when he wasn't given a choice, or any form of capability to consent.
There was also the timing. NOT that him being cloned against his will would ever, in any circumstance be okay, but at the time, BB was still grieving the Boss, and had been used and betrayed by the USA. I tend to keep in mind that the US using him was a betrayal for BB, because before that, he willingly followed the will of the government.
Something the Boss herself warned against.
Caps: DiamondDogs
After all that, people he considered his friends, also betray him. By this point BB must've truly felt that he can't trust anyone, and that no matter where he goes, someone out there is only going to see him as some kind of glorified tool; no matter how much he might've trusted them, or how strong their relationship was.
With all that being said, if we do remove the cloning aspect, and assume the twins to have been born the normal way (that is, the old-fashioned consensual way with Eva) would he have kept them?
I'd say it would depend on the circumstances. There's a brief period after MGS3, before The Patriots are formed where BB is working odd jobs, and just trying to find his place again. Could he ostensibly settle down and be a standard all-American family man?
Honestly, I don't really think so. I think that he knows and understands warzones the best; and that he has a level of discomfort with society that is hard to ignore. I think BB would end up finding a warzone or war-adjacent zones anyway, and that anything else just ends up being a temporary delay or temporary reprieve.
Having children would get in the way of that. (Until later, of course..we know he has Chico and children in Zanzibarland, by the time he's a full-out warlord)
Which shifts me into the secondary aspect, or a possible alternative-BB accepting his sons when they're old enough to be 'useful' to him. In this case, they'd be part of his soldiers, his men, and work under him. Obeying him the same way any of his other soldiers do; and working for the same 'end' goal.
I think he and Liquid would clash even without Liquid's ever-present desire for patricide, but I imagine he and Dave would get along to some degree, if they had aspects they could bond over. Even if that bonding only ever boils down to 'sitting side by side doing some task or another, and not saying a word' Maybe hunting together, or other things they can share.
I don't know that BB would ever see himself as a 'family man'. But I could see him accepting them as his sons if they were wanted by him to some degree. Or slowly accepting them in his life, if they were brought into the world with his consent.
There could maybe be an argument of him accepting them despite the non-con aspect, but I think it'd be more with an element of 'you're men that I respect and like, but I can't call myself your father'.
Which is..essentially what ends up happening, way at the end.
Caps: Shirrako
TL'DR: Maybe he would, but it would be a victim or a situation of circumstance, IMO. I'm open to thinking about it further and discussing it more, though.

So I am drinking for the first time in months because I have taken an accidental break from my evil medication and I'm taking advantage of that. But I'm here in the club pondering Lestat on this fine afternoon. Full disclosure I've been watching 2.07 and 2.08 in gifs, because the person who's link I have has not updated their Google drive. But I think most of the ramble I'm about to go oh about Lestat and race is contained within season 1.
So Lestat is an interesting case in terms of portraying a racist character because I think when you correct for the gothic horror shock value he's more true to what most racism actually looks like than like 97% of cases where it's depicted, but also there's a lot of people in the fandom who will insist that hes not racist, despite the fact that Claudia explicitly calls him out on it multiple times. And I think the reason for that is actually more complicated and interesting than standard issue Blorbo apologia or that they see a white person and are automatically more sympathetic to the white person, I'm not saying that both of those aren't part of it but I am saying that there's also a third genre of it.
So like, Lestat starts out as the nice white guy. He's not white he French, as Louis said. He thinks the way that Louis is treated by American white people is appalling. And then as they carry on, Lestat is horrifically racist in some places and kinda chill, never great, but on Louis' side, in others, and in other places he writes race off as a mortal affair and considers both his and Louis' race to be "vampire". And I actually think that's the closest we get to Lestat's actual beliefs on race. He thinks he's solved racism for Louis by giving him the dark gift, because now Louis can just eat people who are racist to him.
Lestat is very much a modern white person transplanted into the Jim Crow era in this way. He doesn't think he's racist. Racism isn't ideological for him the way it is for the other white people we meet in Louisiana who think that they are superior to Louis by virtue of their skin color. He doesn't see Louis as sub human (or sub-vampire). He even feels more affinity to Louis than to other white people by virtue of Louis being both a vampire and his partner.
However he is still racist. Because Lestat at his core is selfish. Louis is the superego and Lestat is the Id. Lestat is operating on a race blind mentality, but he will use other white people's racism to his advantage no matter how much it hurts Claudia and Louis, I would argue with only partial understanding of what he's doing at all.
That's not a defense of him. He knows he's hurting his family. He's doing it on purpose for the benefit of himself because that's who Lestat is. That's what makes him awful and abusive. He takes it to genre typical extremes, but I think sometimes the racial angle to whats going on completely escapes him, meanwhile Louis and Claudia remain hyper aware of it, because they have to be to navigate their lives in black bodies, undead or otherwise. This hurts Louis and Claudia just as much as it would hurt them if Lestat was a white hood wearing Klansman who thought he was superior to them. It doesn't matter in his impact that in his heart he is doing this because he cares about himself before anyone else, rather than because he thinks he's better because he's white. The impact is the same whether he's race blind or a Nazi. He is still weaponizing his whiteness against his loved ones. A person could argue it's worse than if he was a capital R racist because if he was Louis and Claudia would never have become loved ones in the first place
I think this is why a lot of people get incredibly defensive about Lestat being called racist. Because good liberal white people in America are raised to not see color. They're raised to think that MLK solved systemic racism and that treating someone different because of their skin color is appalling behavior. But they still use the systemic racism that exists around them to their advantage while maintaining this mindset, because like pavlovs dogs they know when certain behavior will benefit them but never stop to question why that behavior benefits them or wonder if it's hurting people around them. They will throw poc, even poc that they love and respect, under the bus without realizing that's what's happening.
Lestat holds a dark mirror up to those people. The writers show them a white man who is nice and colorblind and appalled by the treatment that Louis is receiving who still weaponizes the color of his skin against Louis. The first episode makes white people who care about POC want to like and relate to Lestat who is quickly developing a romance with Louis, and then it shows his horrible racist tendencies in subsequent episodes. Because of this white people who are allies and unfamiliar with the story will at first like Lestat but realize around episode three what's up with him and not defend him. But people in the more colorblind lane will defend him from the racism allegations to the death even if they acknowledge his other crimes because they don't want to admit that they themselves have done what Lestat is doing on a much smaller scale without the domestic abuse and vampire style violence.*
Consequently I think they had to make Lestat this type of racist because if they made him an ideological racist he couldn't have gone back to Louis with a satisfying ending the way we know he's going to and if he was actually not racist the way a good ally is (which is to say makes mistakes but owns up to them and corrects them) it would be wildly untrue to his characterization in the books. He must be selfish.
*I of course acknowledge that white people who are not ideologically racist fall along a gradient between ally and color blind and just because someone can recognize this behavior in others doesn't mean they don't occasionally ignore it in themselves but for my purposes I am making a binary. Nuance. You understand.

They were never on the invite list for the Japan state dinner. They’re not on anyone’s invite list for a formal state / diplomatic occasion. The only way they’d get invited to a White House state dinner while living in California is if it was a UK state dinner (POTUS hosting King Charles) and Megxit had gone 100% the other way.
You bring up an interesting scenario! The UK and US will trade Stare visits eventually to keep up the Special Relationship. There are lots of variables in play to delay things for a bit, but what's going to happen when C&C eventually have to visit the US? The pressure on all parties from the press in both countries will be enormous. It's going to be a huge side show story.
Yep.
That's why I suspect we won't see a US/UK state visit happen for a while. We'll probably see a few more visits like what happened in 2016 and 2021; the Americans drop by for tea on the way to someplace else.
As for the US hosting the UK, I think it's unlikely that we'll see King Charles and Queen Camilla here. Partly because of the Harry situation, but also partly because of their age/health and partly because of how popular Diana still is here. Even though Americans make up the largest nationality of international tourists to the UK and we're the biggest consumers of royal merchandise after the UK, Diana still reigns supreme here; Camilla's travel here will likely be interpreted by some as a victory lap and it won't go down easily. (Also, polling in 2023 determined Camilla is more unliked than Andrew by Americans...)
Switching gears to the Harry situation, it's going to depend what happens with the DHS/HF lawsuit. That lawsuit is bringing a whole lot of unwanted attention for everyone involved and with that, scrutiny from a lot of other countries. Inviting Harry and Meghan to the White House for a state dinner, any state dinner, UK or otherwise, only calls more attention to the visa debacle and unfair, inappropriate treatment that may or may not be getting covered. So the White House isn't putting the Sussexes on an invitation list any time soon because they probably want this whole visa mess to go away and stay away. And unfortunately, this is going to be the kind of mess that comes up again and again and again each time the Sussexes link themselves with a democratic White House.
A few other things the White House are fully aware of:
The poor relationship between the Sussexes and the royals and the BRF's position that the Sussexes are *not* offical representatives of the monarchy. The White House knows that they risk damaging the special relationship if they invite the Sussexes.
That the Sussexes blab. If they talked about not-accessible-to-the-public spaces in Buckingham Palace, Windsor Castle, and Kensington Palace, they'll talk about not-accessible-to-the-public spaces at the White House.
All of Harry's red flags that make him a huge security risk. He may not actually ever do anything, but that doesn't totally negate the threat that he could do something. Especially because of Point #2 - if Harry talked about private matters with the BRF, he'll talk about private matters for the US or the White House.

I normally wouldn't do this, because this is a RP blog and one of its purposes is to allow me to take a break from reality, but this is too important and it's heaving me too much not to put it out there.
It's the first and ONLY post I'll ever make on the subject. Anything else can be discussed privately, if you want to talk to me about it. Ofc, with "talk" I mean a civil discussion, otherwise fuck off.
I'll start with saying this: I'm not American, I live in Europe. Still, what happened with the elections affects the whole world, including my country, so I think I have the right to be as bitter and upset and real fucking worried as anyone else.
Also because, you know, Russia and Ukraine are my neighbours, so if someone decides to do something extreme, like dropping a nuclear bomb, well...it was nice knowing you, guys.
However, that's just one of my concerns, and it's not even at the top of the list. What really scares me is what the world has been turning into in the past few years. There are extremists and fanatics everywhere, I see people getting killed every day on the news, and not just war victims. I'm talking deaths in countries that are supposed to be at peace and civilised.
Where I live, every day there's at least one woman who gets killed. The youngest one so far was 14. Every day there's some hate crime happening. Every day there are immigrants who die at sea, because my country prevents rescues and tries to stop humanitarian organisations from saving lives.
Every day our government makes a step further in denying us our rights. Abortion, euthanasia (which has never been legal in my country, btw, and now it probably never will), the right to hold peaceful protests, civil unions for not conventional (hetero cis) couples, a proper accessible health system, and so on. The list goes on and on.
I'm a doctor and I work in the public health system. Around here, the State is supposed to provide free basic care to everyone and make the rest at very accessible prices (with exemptions for some categories, depending on age, income, disability, etc). This sounds nice, but it's becoming less and less of a reality. They keep cutting our budgets, the waiting lists get longer and longer, people are forced to pay for what should be provided by the taxes they pay. It's nowhere as bad as it's in many other counties, not yet, but I see it getting worse every day. Over a year of waiting for an exam. You could literally die while waiting for it, if you can't afford to pay for it. Also, everything in the health system is understaffed. There aren't enough doctors, nurses and the rest of the personnel. A lot of my colleagues leave the public and open their own private practices and, as much as I hate it, I can't even blame them. We're mostly underpaid and the shifts are fucking brutal.
It's getting hard to do everything. Do your work properly, have freedom, be able to be yourself, be allowed to live your life now and with whom you choose.
I know for sure that Trump's winning is just going to exacerbate all of this and honestly I can't help but think that it's gonna end badly for a lot of people, if not for everyone. I'm not saying that the other side is blameless, it's their fault too if we got this far, but at least we wouldn't be risking what we're facing now with them.
I wish I could say that I'm shocked that he won, and with so many votes, but I'm not. If something, this is the umpteenth proof of what I've been thinking for years. Humans suck and we're obviously set on self-destruction. Just look at what we have done to the planet. And what's crazier is that, even with all the consequences of climate change slapping us in the face every day, we still go on as if it wasn't a big deal. Because, of course, unless it happens to you specially, it doesn't really matter, does it?
I'm not saying that I've completely lost the little faith I had in humanity after this, but I've surely become more pessimistic than I already was. Perhaps we should really just go extinct, it would be for the best.
I've rambled enough. I'll end by saying that, if there's at least a little justice in the universe, that man will get stopped before he can do irreparable damage. Does me wishing him the worst make me a bad person? Probably, in the eyes of some. But let's look at the fact. He's old, overweight, eats badly, probably never exercises. Being president of the USA is a highly stressful job. It's a fact that he is an individual with a high risk of cardiovascular events.
Anyway. Don't give up on trying to change things, no matter how little. I won't, even if I'm really tempted to. Stay safe, as much as you can. I hope to see you on the other side.

"What would a Second Trump Presidency look like?"
How about how we're literally living and seeing right now, except liberals would have to pretend to actually give a shit about people who are not them?
If Trump was president, they'd be baying for his blood, screaming from the rooftops that he's a war criminal and a genocidaire and a fascist dictator committing genocide --
But because Biden is the one in office right now, Liberals keep saying, against all reality,
"he supports a ceasefire!" --
so why is he building military multi-million dollar piers in Gaza explicitly to aid Israeli troops in massacring Palestinians, including having US troops participating in the slaughter of 300 innocent people ?
"He doesn't want to support israel but he has to!" --
So why has he tried to make a law that a President can send any amount of military aid to foreign allies without ANY congressional or public oversight, because he was pissed off that the American public was horrified at him sending billions and billions of dollars towards genocide and he didn't want people to know what he was doing, even though by his own admission this would allow future Republicans such as Trump to send billions in weapons to anyone he wants with no one else being the wiser?
You can also listen to his speech here, and tell me, do you really think his opinion has changed in the slightest since that time, despite the increasingly -public atrocities and apartheid committed by Israel ?
"there's no way he could stop the genocide, he's just one man!"
Oh, Biden is "just one man" but Trump is a magically powerful unstoppable dictator who can do anything? You guys really gotta make up your minds about how powerful the President of the United States is.
Biden has been sending Billions, with a 'B' as in $1,000,000,000, and an 's' as in plural in weapons to Israel. In April alone he sent $15,000,000,000 in weapons to them right before the first Rafah massacre, and that doesn't count every single fucking other "smaller" exchange of weapons he's sent them every month prior or after.
Biden is directly responsible for everything Israel does with the weapons he continues to send them.
And, he's been deliberately spreading disinformation about October 7th to justify Israel's genocide since Octover 7th .
On the opposite side of the spectrum, a reporter wrote an article about her treatment when she visited the White House to try to speak to him about the situation in Gaza and when she tried to show him pictures she'd taken personally in Gaza, Biden dismissed her and ignored her, claiming "I've seen those photos already", despite these being pictures she'd taken personally with her phone and not published online.
Biden is more than aware of the reality on the ground for the victims of his genocide, but he does not give one single flying fuck about them, because he does not view them as human beings, all he views them as is acceptable sacrifices for him to achieve his political goals of keeping Israel in power, no matter how many atrocities they commit with his direct aid and support.
All Biden would have to do to slow or halt Israel's atrocities would literally be to just stop sending them fucking weapons and cash. Israel has received $300,000,000,000 in aid from the USA, it would literally not survive without funding from America which pays for all of their healthcare, their military, supports their economy, etc.
The United States literally cares more about Israel, a genocidal apartheid entity, than it does its own people.
Israel has universal healthcare for it's citizens, funded by USA Taxdollars. But somehow, if the United States had universal healthcare of its own, that would be a waste of money ? As the saying goes, "They've got money for war but can't feed the poor."
You really just have to sit there and absorb the fact that the United States, and Biden right now especially , are literally funding another nation's universal healthcare and economy, while millions of Americans starve, are homeless, and die from lack of healthcare. If you're insisting we need to vote for Biden, I want you to literally sit for five minutes and absorb this fact. Biden is commiting genocide, right now, with your taxdollars, and is giving Israel billions and billions so that their citizens can have universal healthcare so they can commit genocide
Do you still think voting for this man is in your best interests, as he commits genocide?
Do you still think the Democrats can actually pretend to care about people, when they joined in with the Republicans to censured Rashida Tlaib, one step below expelling her from the House over her calling for Israel to halt the genocide?
Do you still genuinely believe that Biden actually cares about Palestinians? Or "can be reasoned with" How ? Its been 9 months, including mass protests across the USA and worldwide, and Biden is still refusing to slow or halt aid to Israel, and this is while he's trying to get re-elected!
Do you really, truly believe that you can "pressure" Biden in any way shape or form when he gets re-elected and literally does not have to give a single fuck about what any of how supporters want?
Have you grasped that fact yet?
If Biden gets re-elected by holding your rights hostage, and promising to do all the things he failed to do and is currently failing because he's President right fucking now and has another 4 months to accomplish things, do you truly, genuinely believe that he's going to keep any of those promises on round #2 when he's no longer beholden to public option (laughable, considering he's literally not right now even as his own party begs him to step down, and as studens are brutalized by his militarized police he gave millions towards ) because he truly doesn't need to give a fuck at all about re-election on his last term??
Anyways, if you want to actually vote for a candidate who is pro-palestine, you can vote for Dr. Jill Stein this November.
For all the genocidal liberals crying about how "we all gotta band together and vote for Biden or the world's gonna end 😭", how about you actually take a look at his actual fucking poll numbers and what his own party is saying before you go harassing tumblr users to vote for a losing candidate whos commiting genocide?
As of this post [7/15/2024], ~56.5% of Americans disapprove of Biden, while only ~37.9% actually approve of him.
If liberals spent even half the energy they do supporting Biden against all rational and national sense on instead actually supporting third party candidates who are Pro-palestine, we'd effortlessly get our first Third Party President.
Instead, genocidal liberals will deny the ongoing genocide by downplaying and ignoring it, and instead use phrases like
"Biden isn't perfect",
"Biden has some flaws",
"voting for president isn't like choosing a valentine",
"candidates dont have to be flawless to get your support".
Hey, pro tip liberals: if you literally have to plug your ears and play dumb to the fact that your favorite candidate is committing genocide to try to get people to vote for him, maybe, just maybe, that's a sign you need to rethink your strategy and morality.
All you do when you deny the genocide in the pursuit of your own interests is show the world that you solidly do not give a fuck about anyone but yourselves, and that you're willing to support candidates mass slaughtering innocent people as long as those people aren't you
You're also literally just telling the Democrats currently and any future Democrats that it doesn't matter how fucking low they sink, that as long as they pretend and promise to give a fuck about liberals sensibilities, that they can commit as many atrocities with impunity as they want, because they're guaranteed your undying support.
Anyways.
Vote Dr. Jill Stein this November.
Vote anti-genocide.

Do you think jungkook's recent choices will have a negative effect on bts as a group?
I do want to say the whole smoking thing doesn't bother me. At first, I did think the photos were taken without his knowledge, but after seeing the video, you can see he's aware that he's being recorded and doesn't really mind. I'm glad that he feels comfortable enough to show a more adult side of him with seven, the drinking, and the smoking. But at the same time, I see how bts has created this image for themselves over the years, and in a matter of months, jk had dramatically changed it. They all seemed to follow the rules and only did schedule lives at the company, but then JK started doing unapproved lives at home. All the members have really protected their social media presence, and then there's jk with tikok and following a thirst trap account 😅. Now we have the smoking out in public when the other 3 members who do smoke have done it out of sight. So I'm just curious how the other members feel about all of this. I do remember on one live JK did say the members told him not to drink on live anyone, but he didn't listen lol. I'm also on the edge of my seat because who knows what else we'll find out. If JK is going to continue to focus on the American market and with the popularity he has gained with seven, tmz is definitely going to have him on their radar.
Okay.
I didn't even know there was a video, but after seeing it, it's not clear at all he knew he was being filmed. Even if he was, I don't think he would've been okay with it. Even if he was aware, he likely didn't want to be filmed, smoking or not. But I'm sure Jungkook knew he could be caught smoking outside the hotel, or wherever he was, and that was a choice he made, because I don't think he wants to hide doing normal stuff like smoking.
I don't see how Jungkook smoking or drinking will negatively impact the group. Suga smoked in Haegeum, Jimin shared his hard times during the pandemic in which he got drunk every night, all members have drank on camera - some of them have even gotten wasted. Why is it only a problem when Jungkook does it? Vmin have also done lives at their homes. Are you saying Jungkook is a bad influence and that they wouldn't have done it without him starting the "trend"? And why should Jungkook ask for permission to do a live for his fans? Why does he need to be supervised like a child? Who cares if that's the company policy? Fuck the company. They can debut minors with sexy concepts, but idols can't go live whenever they please?
You think Jungkook alone changed BTS's image? Like Crazy came out before Seven and it was much sexier and Western-like than anything BTS had done up until that point.
The members haven't "protected" their social media presence. Most of them don't even like social media, so they aren't very active. V posts sexy pictures all the time, RM wants to post art so he posts art. Jungkook literally deleted his IG, is rarely on Twitter, and pretty much just shares a few selcas and recipes on Weverse, apart from doing lives. He only accidentally shared his TikTok account, and what in the fucking world is wrong with having TikTok? And what thirst trap account is he following? I even looked it up and apparently he started following a bunch of dancers, one of whom has videos of herself twerking. Like, isn't twerking one of those basics moves all female dancers do? From what I saw, she seemed like a normal influencer type.
BTS are proud of Jungkook. Hobi and RM shared the explicit, not the clean, version of Seven and Suga knew the song would be a hit. No one is bothered.
I don't even know who the 3 members who smoke are, but V was seen with a vape way back in 2019 and was caught smoking at the 2021 Grammys, and Suga smoked in Haegeum. Jungkook isn't the first one.
Remember RM posting drunk videos of him singing, or Jikook drunk FaceTiming? BTS have an agreement, which is to not post things on social media when drunk, and it's a good policy, but one they've broken before. Jungkook wasn't the first one to go online drunk. And Jungkook was only tipsy in a few of his lives, not drunk to the point he couldn't watch what he said or did.
We know how the members feel. They're okay with Jungkook - proud of him. I doubt there's any drama. And you "being on the edge of your seat" to see what other "scandal" Jungkook will get caught up in is really fucking weird. Leave him alone. I may be a bit judgmental, but this is just wishing for his downfall. I assure you it won't happen.
Also, Jungkook isn't the only one trying to break away from their conservative group image. Jimin did it with Like Crazy, RM is also subtly pushing the envelope, Suga did it for Haegeum, and V pretty much allowed himself to get caught dating in Paris. Why is JK the only one "stirring up trouble"?
No, JK's actions won't destroy either him or the group. BTS are still the biggest group in the world, and Jungkook is the biggest idol.

It's so funny how (as an American) I've seen commercials fearmongering about China becoming the dominant language in the world if America doesn't, I don't know, start producing more things and trading less, I guess? But the opposite is happening and people here don't even realize it. We never leave America, except some rich people, but they can afford translators or just don't give a shit and expect everyone to bow to them because they have money no matter where they go, and get furious when people in other countries don't speak it, so this results in having super tourist heavy areas in other countries that need English speakers to serve the tourists. But the same never happens here, the same consideration we expect is never given out, only received when we venture out occasionally. It's just selfishness, but somehow we also think no one else in the world could understand us, despite pushing our media down their throats so they *have* to know, and we don't bother learning anything in return because that's not American, therefore not important. I took *many* history classes featuring America to various degrees of detail, and barely any about anywhere else on the planet. I learned more about Australia's founding from Tumblr than from school, and that's not an exaggeration. We never learned about them (until the brief overview equating to what Tumblr said) until I was 16 except for the wildlife from TV shows.
I just saw a commercial about the Paris Olympics and getting an air BNB to be in the "more Paris side of Paris" instead of a hotel in the touristy spots, and that would be wild for Americans if the air BNB does didn't speak English because almost anyone with the money to travel there right now is probably also too entitled to bother learning French, so they'd be lost and confused and pissed if they went. But if anyone visiting America didn't know English they'd be pissed at *them.*
The entitlement doesn't end there, but yeah, my country is ruining the whole damn world because language learning (and any learning, really) is for thee, not for me. The rest of the world must learn a language and embrace a culture foreign to them, but if they expect us to do the same then that somehow makes us unpatriotic. The propaganda runs deep, leads to selfish individualism, and harshly condemns anything "other," both in appearance and just regular basic shit like having roads that protect people walking or biking, or having huge ass trucks they barely use while taking up parking for everyone else and being more likely to kill people.
But those damn Europeans are "too poor to afford big cars" (hint: most Americans are too poor to afford any car so we go into debt doing it every 5-10 years or less, go into debt for education, medicine, etc; meanwhile far more Europeans can afford basic life with any basic job because they pay enough while America fucks the poor). Meanwhile, America must be the best at everything because everyone knows all about us, but we know nothing of them and outright refuse to look to anyone else for ideas on anything (especially roadways but also the job and economy shit, unfortunately) because being a big country must mean we're soooo special and different. It takes a lot of work to crack out of this mindset, research other places, and begin to see the American Dream for what it is: propaganda. A facade because no one would want to be here if they knew other countries had it better in most ways.
I haven't wanted to be here since Trump got elected, but I can't afford to go so far away from family nor do I have a profitable, specialized field that would warrant a work visa anywhere else, so I'm stuck. But so many people are so lost in the American sauce that they don't think we're trapped at all, or that we're shoving our influence down anyone's throats. No one talks about that at all here, or listens to anyone saying it's happening, least of all the people we killed to live on this stolen land. How many more cultures and languages and people do we have to lose before we realize we're the damn baddies? Cultural exchange, which is so easy on the Internet, should be give and take, not give and give and exploit and erase and give and steal without credit and give and shove, but Americans don't see it that way, we see it as being right all the time.
DO NOT LET SOCIAL MEDIA TURN YOU INTO AN AMERICAN

Do you think one could follow the Jedi Code/Lifestyle in real life as a positive manner of living or do you think it only works in Star Wars? I asked this on r/Mawinstallation and the answers I got were either:
''The Jedi code is oppressive so no'' ( this was the most upvoted answer )
''The Jedi code works but only for the Jedi''
''The Jedi code requires the force to work and since the force doesn't exist in the real world, the code cannot work''
And finally, I got only a single reply that said
''Yes, the Jedi code does work in real life, that's the entire point of Star Wars''.
What is your take on this?
This is going to be sort of a long, roundabout answer, but the short version is: In the finer details, we're not space psychics, but as a general idea? Yes. First of all, what even IS the Jedi Code? Are we talking about the whole “there is no emotion, there is peace”/”emotion, yet peace” meditation mantra, which we should point out is nowhere in the movies or TV shows, but is entirely in the novels and comics supplementary material? Are we talking about a more generalized idea of Jedi philosophy? And what, precisely, does that mean? I mean, what’s oppressive about it and what scene evidences that that’s what the Jedi taught? Second, there are two talks that George Lucas gave that I think really illustrate this view of emotional navigation and how that impacts Star Wars and the Force: There’s the writers meeting of The Clone Wars where he talks about the light side and the dark side and there’s an Academy of Achievement Speech from 2013 where he talks about joy vs pleasure: “Happiness is pleasure and happiness is joy. It can be either one, you add them up and it can be the uber category of happiness. “Pleasure is short lived. It lasts an hour, it lasts a minute, it lasts a month. It peaks and then it goes down–it peaks very high, but the next time you want to get that same peak you have to do it twice as much. It’s like drugs, you have to keep doing it because it insulates itself. No matter what it is, whether you’re shopping or you’re engaged in any other kind of pleasure. It all has the same quality about it. “On the other hand is joy and joy is the thing that doesn’t go as high as pleasure, in terms of your emotional reaction. But it stays with you. Joy is something you can recall, pleasure you can’t. So the secret is that, even though it’s not as intense as pleasure, the joy will last you a lot longer. “People who get the pleasure they keep saying, ‘Well, if I can just get richer and get more cars–!’ You’ll never relive the moment you got your first car, that’s it, that’s the highest peak. Yes, you could get three Ferraris and a new gulf stream jet and maybe you’ll get close. But you have to keep going and eventually you’ll run out. You just can’t do it, it doesn’t work. “If you’re trying to sustain that level of peak pleasure, you’re doomed. It’s a very American idea, but it just can’t happen. You just let it go. Peak. Break. Pleasure is fun it’s great, but you can’t keep it going forever. “Just accept the fact that it’s here and it’s gone, and maybe again it’ll come back and you’ll get to do it again. Joy lasts forever. Pleasure is purely self-centered. It’s all about your pleasure, it’s about you. It’s a selfish self-centered emotion, that’s created by self-centered motive of greed. “Joy is compassion, joy is giving yourself to somebody else or something else. And it’s the kind of thing that is in it’s subtlty and lowness more powerful than pleasure. If you get hung up on pleasure you’re doomed. If you pursue joy you will find everlasting happiness.” –George Lucas And how I like to compare that to The Hijacking of the American Mind by Robert Lustig, MD, MSL, which is a book about how corporations have hijacked our pleasure centers to make us focused on reward over pleasure. It talks about the exact same concepts, with only slight word adjustments, but otherwise might as well be verbatim: “At this point it’s essential to define and clarify what I mean by these two words—pleasure and happiness—which can mean different things to different people. “Merriam-Webster’s Dictionary defines “pleasure” as “enjoyment or satisfaction derived from what is to one’s liking”; or “gratification”; or “reward.” While “pleasure” has a multitude of synonyms, it is this phenomenon of reward that we will explore, as scientists have elaborated a specific “reward pathway” in the brain, and we now understand the neuroscience of its regulation. Conversely, “happiness” is defined as “the quality or state of being happy”; or “joy”; or “contentment.” While there are many synonyms for “happiness,” it is the phenomenon that Aristotle originally referred to as eudemonia, or the internal experience of contentment, that we will parse in this book. Contentment is the lowest baseline level of happiness, the state in which it’s not necessary to seek more. In the movie Lovers and Other Strangers (1970), middle-aged married couple Beatrice Arthur and Richard Castellano were asked the question “Are you happy?”—to which they responded, “Happy? Who’s happy? We’re content.” Scientists now understand that there is a specific “contentment pathway” that is completely separate from the pleasure or reward pathway in the brain and under completely different regulation. Pleasure (reward) is the emotional state where your brain says, This feels good—I want more, while happiness (contentment) is the emotional state where your brain says, This feels good—I don’t want or need any more. “Reward and contentment are both positive emotions, highly valued by humans, and both reasons for initiative and personal betterment. It’s hard to be happy if you derive no pleasure for your efforts—but this is exactly what is seen in the various forms of addiction. Conversely, if you are perennially discontent, as is so often seen in patients with clinical depression, you may lose the impetus to better your social position in life, and it’s virtually impossible to derive reward for your efforts. Reward and contentment rely on the presence of the other. Nonetheless, they are decidedly different phenomena. Yet both have been slowly and mysteriously vanishing from our global ethos as the prevalence of addiction and depression continues to climb. “Drumroll … without further ado, behold the seven differences between reward and contentment: Reward is short-lived (about an hour, like a good meal). Get it, experience it, and get over it. Why do you think you can’t remember what you ate for dinner yesterday? Conversely, contentment lasts much longer (weeks to months to years). It’s what happens when you have a working marriage or watch your teenager graduate from high school. And if you experience contentment from a sense of achievement or purpose, the chances are that you will feel it for a long time to come, perhaps even the rest of your life.Reward is visceral in terms of excitement (e.g., a casino, a football game, or a strip club). It activates the body’s fight-or-flight system, which causes blood pressure and heart rate to go up. Conversely, contentment is ethereal and calming (e.g., listening to soothing music or watching the waves of the ocean). It makes your heart rate slow and your blood pressure decline. - “ Reward can be achieved with different substances (e.g., heroin, nicotine, cocaine, caffeine, alcohol, and of course sugar). Each stimulates the reward center of the brain. Some are legal, some are not. Conversely, contentment is not achievable with substance use. Rather, contentment is usually achieved with deeds (like graduating from college or having a child who can navigate his or her own path in life). - “Reward occurs with the process of taking (like from a casino). Gambling is definitely a high: when you win, it is fundamentally rewarding, both viscerally and economically. But go back to the same table the next day. Maybe you’ll feel a jolt of excitement to try again. But there’s no glow, no lasting feeling from the night before. Or go buy a nice dress at Macy’s. Then try it on again a month later. Does it generate the same enthusiasm? Conversely, contentment is often generated through giving (like giving money to a charity, or giving your time to your child, or devoting time and energy to a worthwhile project). - Reward is yours and yours alone. Your sense of reward does not immediately impact anyone else. Conversely, your contentment, or lack of it, often impacts other people directly and can impact society at large. Those who are extremely unhappy (the Columbine shooters) can take their unhappiness out on others. It should be said at this point that pleasure and happiness are by no means mutually exclusive. A dinner at the Bay Area Michelin three-star restaurant the French Laundry can likely generate simultaneous pleasure for you from the stellar food and wine but can also generate contentment from the shared experience with spouse, family, or friends, and then possibly a bit of unhappiness when the bill arrives. - Reward when unchecked can lead us into misery, like addiction. Too much substance use (food, drugs, nicotine, alcohol) or compulsive behaviors (gambling, shopping, surfing the internet, sex) will overload the reward pathway and lead not just to dejection, destitution, and disease but not uncommonly death as well. Conversely, walking in the woods or playing with your grandchildren or pets (as long as you don’t have to clean up after them) could bring contentment and keep you from being miserable in the first place. - Last and most important, reward is driven by dopamine, and contentment by serotonin. Each is a neurotransmitter—a biochemical manufactured in the brain that drives feelings and emotions—but the two couldn’t be more different. Although dopamine and serotonin drive separate brain processes, it is where they overlap and how they influence each other that generates the action in this story. Two separate chemicals, two separate brain pathways, two separate regulatory schemes, and two separate physiological and psychological outcomes. How and where these two chemicals work, and how they work either in concert or in opposition to each other, is the holy grail in the ultimate quest for both pleasure and happiness.” – Robert Lustig, MD, MSL And then lets add in what Dave Filoni has said about the Force and the core themes of Star Wars: "In the end, it’s about fundamentally becoming selfless moreso than selfish. It seems so simple, but it’s so hard to do. And when you’re tempted by the dark side, you don’t overcome it once in life and then you’re good. It’s a constant. And that’s what, really, Star Wars is about and what I think George wanted people to know. That to be a good person and to really feel better about your life and experience life fully you have to let go of everything you fear to lose. Because then you can’t be controlled. “But when you fear, fear is the path to the dark side, it’s also the shadow of greed, because greed makes you covet things, greed makes you surround yourself with all these things that make you feel comfortable in the moment, but they don’t really make you happy. And then, when you’re afraid of something, it makes you angry, when you get angry, you start to hate something, sometimes you don’t even know why. When you hate, do you often know why you hate? No, you direct it at things and then you hate it. And it’s hard because anger can be a strength at times, but you can’t use it in such a selfish way, it can be a destroyer then. “These are the core things of Star Wars.“ –Dave Filoni So, the core things of Star Wars and the Jedi teachings (because Jedi teachings are basically almost word for word how GL described how the Force works) can very much be a reflection of real world teachings and ways to live by, because all of the above are about how GL viewed the world and what he wanted to put into his movies. Further, Jedi teachings are basically just reworded Buddhism + Acceptance and Commitment Therapy. And both of those are very livable by our real world standards, if you so choose. GL was very much about how SW had themes that were meant to be picked up on by the audience and even DF has said this: “ Jedi have the ability to turn the tide, to make a significant moment, to give hope where there’s none. That’s their ultimate role to play, to be this example of selflessness. And that’s what makes them a hero, when no one else can match that heroic thing. And then our job is to emulate that, to use that example, and further our own lives.” --Dave Filoni Ultimately, the Jedi are specifically focused on disciplining themselves (which GL has said is the only way to overcome the dark side, in that TCW writers’ meeting), probably to a degree most of us wouldn’t have the room to devote to, but that doesn’t mean that the broader strokes aren’t meant to be applicable to our lives or don’t echo real world teachings.

Dear Trauma,
I wake up, I’m always laying in a puddle of sweat. I can’t help but try to fight exhaustion after getting my breath under control and my heart stops pounding but it claws at the edges of my consciousness, I have nightmares when I get back into bed. How do I sleep with these thoughts racing through my head, I could drug myself to sleep and still be exhausted when I wake.
It's like these voices just keep playing on repeat in the back of my head and I can't get them to leave me alone.
I just want them to leave me alone.
Alone.
I just want to be alone.
I don’t want to feel alone.
People try to tell me they understand and they’ll always be here for me but they always lie! They want to understand and they want to help. They don’t want to understand! They don’t want to help! It’s too hard! It’s hard to sit there maybe for hours if you’re needed and it’s hard to listen and it’s hard to give advice so they don’t try.
They don’t know what it feels like to have this storm inside my mind and this condescending weight slowly crushing more and more as I try to fight. They don’t know that feeling but they have their own feelings.
Everyone wants to vent, everyone wants to scream their feelings out to the world, everybody wants someone to listen to all their worries but nobody wants to get their goddamn head out of their ass to listen to anyone else!
Anxiety isn't an item you can return at the store!
Depression isn’t an American cousin who goes home after Christmas!
PTSD isn’t a song you can delete from your phone when you tire of its repetitive rhythm!
And I’m stuck with them because of YOU!
IT’S YOUR FAULT!
YOU DID THIS TO ME!
You aren’t something I can pretend doesn’t exist!
These memories aren’t something that just goes away. Time passes and they begin to fade a little but I can’t ignore that they happened. I don’t always remember all of the exact words or sound of the peoples’ voices as they said them, but I remember the feeling that would build up in my chest and fog up my mind every time they entered the room and the feeling of drowning after they would try and talk to me. A single world and I was 6 feet underwater in the middle of an endless ocean of despair
I can barely remember my childhood but that isn’t too abnormal. I LOST AN ENTIRE YEAR OF MY LIFE! TWO ACTUALLY! FOR THREE DAMN MONTHS OF PAIN I LOST TWO WHOLE YEARS OF MY LIFE FROM MY MEMORY!
I was 18 when I pulled a gun out
At the time it felt like my options had run out
So I put that barrel to my chest, and I pulled the trigger halfway
I tried to muster up the courage to put myself away that day
How many times have I wondered about doing that to myself? I was 10 the first time I thought about killing myself, it was then I started being afraid of my own mind. How could something that had once been so pure and so innocent and full of wonder at the world around, a mind in the clouds and oh so joyful turn to something so dark and evil
Some days it's so hard to bring myself to eat although I know I need to. I can’t bring myself to feel any appetite no matter how loud or often my stomach will begin to growl. My head pounds with little to no relief and it feels like a heavy burden to get up every morning. Heavier than it should be. It’s not that I’m tired from a lack of sleep it just feels so exhausting to face the world outside of my bed.
Whenever I leave my house I find myself counting down until I can return home, I hate the way I can feel so isolated in a crowd but so overwhelmed by even the smallest number of people yet I hate even more how I can simultaneously feel so comforted by the loneliness of my own home.
I have friends and I have family and I won't try and deny that they care about me and want me to be happy but I can't bring myself to ask for help. I have to help them fight the fires in themselves but if I drop a single match and I let the fire out I’m scared no one could put me out.
I haven't been beaten, I haven't been raped, I don't get told every day that the world would be better off if I just ended my life, and I haven’t spent my life drowning in drugs and alcohol from the people around me. I’ve always had a home and my parents always tried to make time for me. I’ve been told time and time again that I have no right to complain about my life. Other people always have it worse so anything I’ve been through can’t be that bad.
Maybe that’s true
Maybe I have a good life. But you can only take so much of the people who are supposed to love and care about you hurting you. Over and over again.
At a certain point in your life everyone finds out if they can do one of two things, they find out how they cope with pain in the people around them. Sure it hurts to see the people you love in pain but only some people can react like an empath. Only some people can see through other people's pain and mirror it irrelevant of how much they do or don’t care about the person.
I was 12 the first time I understood how someone can mirror another person’s pain. I was 12 when I discovered I was one of those “gifted” people. God, how I wish that hadn’t been true.
There is only so much you watch a person being torn apart every day on repeat by someone who was supposed to have loved them. There’s only so many times you can hear senseless screaming at someone who doesn't deserve it.
I spent three months crying myself to sleep to the sound of screaming and hiding in myself too scared of the person on the other side of the door. My parents always taught me to stand up for people who are being hurt even if they are capable of protecting themselves but every time I tried I found myself quivering and my breath would halt like I was a tiny animal stuck in the headlights of a large truck, that’s what it felt like. Pathetic. Weak. Worthless.
How many times have I sat there with the same song on repeat for days on end hiding in the corner of my room wondering ‘maybe I’m better off dead? If I was, would it finally be enough to shut out all those voices in my head? Maybe I’m better off dead’.
I tried so hard to fix things; dad couldn't always be home and mum was being killed slowly by someone who was supposed to care. She spent almost every hour at work and you made me become both parents while I failed to keep myself going. My heart was beating and I was still breathing but I wasn’t alive.
You have become an almost normal thing in people’s lives when that should never have to be the case.
Do you enjoy the way you hurt people?
Does it hurt you too?
Why do you hurt us so?
Sincerely me,
“Honey” my mother’s voice breaks me out of my haze of thoughts. I lock eyes with her for a moment until she breaks to contact to flick down to the paper in hand.
“Is that what you wanted to show us?” My dad asks. When I don’t answer he rolls his eyes irritably and reaches to grab the letter only for me to yank it away from his grasp. “Look what did you want? We’re busy so you have to make this quick”, he grunts in annoyance at my actions while my mum gently puts her hand on his shoulder to calm him.
“What did you want to tell us?”
I take a deep breath trying to stop my racing heart and calm my nerves to get the words out, that’s the whole reason I wrote this bloody letter. Everything I was never brave enough to say on a single fragile piece of paper. A single piece of paper already stained in the corner by coffee with some of the ink already smudged by tear stains (left behind at 3 am when I had written it after fighting concentration for hours all for 1200 bloody words). All I had to do was hand it over. One simple little thing.
My fingers itch to hand it over but I can’t.
Something holds me back.
My mother slowly tries to reach for my hand or really the paper in my grasp calmly asking again “What did you want to tell us?”
I pull back suddenly, making her frown and bring the sheet to my chest.
I can’t do this.
“Nothing”.
That’s all I say.
That’s all there is to say.

Can people PLEASE stop saying that the election doesn't matter? It. Does. This might be the last election you ever vote in and you don't think it matters (please read the whole thing before you call me a "Zionist" or whatever in the comments).....
The world is more globalized and connected than you may think. That's why we can help Palestinian families with donations and protests. That's why we know about this in the first place. We won't be able to help Palestine if the US as we know it falls. And before you call that a good thing, it will fall to fascism. It will fall to fascism and that's not a good thing.
This election holds more weight than any other election in U.S. history because we're on the brink of literal fascism. When you say that the election doesn't matter, it sounds like the lives of people who will be impacted by the election don't matter (that includes people with uteruses, LGBTQ+ Americans, immigrants (including Palestinians and other groups that are also being persecuted), and other minorities) to you. Literally everyone will be impacted. This isn't Obama v. McCain. This election will have dire consequences if the wrong person wins because people stayed home or split the vote in swing states.
You won't get to protest for Palestine if you sit this one out/vote third party and Trump wins. Don't believe me? Read project 2025 (which is REAL and is now being disguised as Agenda 47). There will be troops on the streets this time next year if Trump wins (he wants to invoke the insurrection act to squash protests, INCLUDING ones for Palestine). There will be immigrants (potentially INCLUDING Palestinians) in concentration camps, potentially alongside other marginalized groups. Trump wants to blow up everything (including Palestine) and he'll get to do that because the United States is not a member of the International Criminal Court and the Supreme Court basically made anyone who holds that seat a king/queen/whatever because they have immunity for "official acts." He could say that blowing up Palestine was an "official act" and not face consequences. Think, will you be saying that the election doesn't matter when he does that? When all of the gofundme pages go silent?
It's very bold of people who say that the election doesn't matter when there are people in the United States suffering and dying from not being able to access abortions or other essential forms of health care (gender-affirming care, for example) and when the Supreme Court looks at the Bill of Rights and set precedent and throws it out so their guy can get in and make the US a living hell for minorities (and everyone else unless you're a rich, white, straight, "Christian," Republican male). Of course, I have no doubt in my mind that they will squash the ability to protest for Palestine and censor gofundme pages like they're censoring books and history itself.
I support a Palestinian state. Everyone deserves a place on the planet but we won't have a planet if we sit back and let the wrong candidate win (climate change, bombs, stuff like that). We can't help Palestinians if we're all censored and suffering in our own ways. Trust me, our main focus won't be Palestine if Trump wins. And if you vote third party or don't vote, you're voting for him because you're splitting the vote by not canceling out one voter's vote for the wannabe dictator. Also, voter suppression is a major platform for the Republicans and saying that both sides are the same is also a tool that they use to get people to stay home.
You can't be a single issue voter in this world. You have to set aside some views for the greater good. There will never be a perfect candidate.
I don't want to make this about Republicans and Democrats because ultimately the two party system and the electoral college is what got us into this mess and both have their issues on policy. However, we can't make major changes to the system without a concerted effort and time. We are a lot closer to the election than people realize and we should be terrified because fascism is on the ballot and people are calling the election a distraction or that it doesn't matter. This election will be consequential. How it will be depends on us.
Project 2025/Agenda 47 should scare you. If you don't see what they're proposing as an issue, then I have no idea what you're doing. Project 2025/Agenda 47 is scary. That alone should get you to the polls. Yet, here we are, promoting the narrative that this election somehow doesn't matter.
Some of you may believe Republicans when they say that they won't implement Project 2025/Agenda 47. I don't believe them. You know why? Roe v. Wade. They said it was settled law. Chevron. They said it was settled law. Presidential immunity. The ruling contradicts the Constitution. Maybe I'm more weary of them because I'm born and raised in a red state.
You got what you wanted. Biden dropped out. Trump would be a lot worse on Palestine, however as I stated earlier. He will have bombs again, and he will use them. You may say that Harris won't be better than Biden. Whatever. At least they want to end this peacefully and not with bombs.
Don't be a single issue voter here. Now is not the time for that. Now is the time to weigh your options between the two and decide if you want to keep fighting for Palestine by voting for the person who aligns the closest to your views or if you want to do nothing for Palestine because you called the election a distraction or because you said it didn't matter and now you can't do anything because bombs went off, you're a refugee yourself. This should scare you because this could be the reality if enough people think the election doesn't matter or is a distraction.
Please inform yourself. Vote for the lesser of two evils. Then do it again until Trumpism is no longer a threat.
Here is the Last Week Tonight segment on a second Trump term. I hope this changes your mind. It talks about Project 2025/Agenda 47.

everyone shut up. none of this election shit even matters. it doesnt matter who's president of the empire because its still the empire.
what matters most right now is doing everything we can to help the victims of this empire regain their dignity and their lives, starting with these five palestinians in gaza:
Siraj @siraj2024
[LINK]
Siraj is a father of three. He and his family have narrowly escaped TWO massacres in southern Gaza in the past week. His family now lives in unsafe conditions in a tent described as "a convection oven". They NEED to rebuild their home as soon as possible in order to have a safe place to live amidst Israeli bombardment.
His short-term goal for THIS WEEK is $10k CAD and he just passed $8k CAD.
[Line 219 on Nairuz and Hussein's Vetted Fundraiser List]
Wafaa @wafans-blog:
[LINK]
Wafaa is a mother and grandmother with a family of 15 people. She escaped to Egypt five months ago but couldn't take her family with her. Since then she has been working tirelessly across three platforms (Instagram, Tiktok, Tumblr) to raise money for her family. Her daughter and niece were both martyred recently and her infant grandson is facing malnutrition. Her last Tumblr account was terminated and she has been getting accused of being a scammer.
Her goal is €50k and she is currently at €40k.
@journalsforpalestine is running a raffle for Wafaa.
[Line 171 on Nairuz and Hussein's Vetted Fundraiser List]
Shahed @shahednhall:
[LINK]
Shahed is a 21 year old college student and photographer. She is the sole provider for her family, including her father (a heart patient) and five younger siblings (including youngest who is an infant). Her sisters have severe hepatitis and urgently need medical care that is no longer available in Gaza and need to evacuate as soon as they get the chance.
Her short term goal FOR THIS WEEK is $30k and she just crossed $20k.
@journalsforpalestineis running a raffle for Shahed.
[Line #224 on Nairuz and Hussein's Spreadsheet.]
Hazem @hazemfromgaza:
[LINK]
Hazem Tannera escaped to Cairo in April but was separated from his family in the process. They are 10 people, including his parents, siblings, and 3 children. He is fundraising to help them evacuate as soon as the Rafah crossing opens with his friend in Jordan.
His goal is £80k and he is nowhere near it. He's at ~£6k.
[He has been endorsed by 90-ghost and I have spoken to him.]
Ahmed @ahmedabuyamin:
[LINK]
Ahmed Alanqar and his wife Dina Alanqar are parents to 4 very young children including one newborn girl, Sawsan, who they welcomed into the world at the only maternal care facility in Nuseirat, just last month.
They are very close to their goal! €34k of €39.5k!!

Fairytales for fuckwits: Meghan, a children's book, and the school bully tactics of the British tabloids...
Piers Morgan's obsession with Meghan Markle continues, while Mike Graham appears worried there may be too many big words for him to understand.
Mic Wright
May 6
On May the 4th, there was a great disturbance in the force, as if thousands of tabloid reporters and talk radio pundits cried out at once: The Duchess of Sussex had announced she was writing a children’s book.
Since the earth-shattering news that Meghan has written a story about the relationship between father’s and their sons — apparently based on a poem she wrote for Prince Harry — the tabloid press and talk radio stations have gone into meltdown.
The Sun has managed to crank out seven hysterically-pitched stories on the announcement since it dropped — the book isn’t out until June 8th — with each more unhinged than the last:
MEG TO PAPER Meghan Markle writes children’s book inspired by Prince Harry and baby Archie about ‘bond between father and son’
MEG-A MOVE Meghan Markle’s first priority should be mending broken relationships with royals not writing kids’ book, expert claims
SOUNDS A BIT WOODEN ‘Schmaltzy’ Meghan Markle ‘on dodgy ground’ with kids’ book celebrating fathers ‘after own bust-up with dad’ says author
DOUBLE DUCH Meghan Markle accused of copying her kids’ book The Bench from another story – but author defends her
NOT WRITE Piers Morgan slams ‘hypocrite’ Meghan Markle for kids’ book on ‘father-son bond’ after ‘ruining Harry and Charles’ ties’
'RIDICULOUS' Meghan Markle using Duchess of Sussex as author name ‘laughable’ after she wanted to cut Royal ties, says royal expert
CUT PRICE Meghan Markle’s kids’ book has price slashed already at Amazon and Waterstones
You’ll notice that Piers Morgan — a man who has turned one drink with Meghan after which he claims she “ghosted him”, which took place in 2016, into a five year and counting obsession — gets his own story there. That’s The Sun filleting Morgan’s spittle-flecked Daily Mail column on the book for its own news piece.
Morgan, who trails his columns on Twitter like they are exciting new releases rather than the tabloid equivalent of a letter scrawled in faeces forced through your letterbox, dashed out his thoughts on The Bench with the indecent haste of a man running along while his trousers fall down.

Piers Morgan’s obsession with Meghan Markle is genuinely disturbing. He’s really just using the guise of journalism to be a public stalker and harasser.

Beneath a typically screaming Mail headline — How the hell can Meghan 'I hate royalty but call me Duchess' Markle preach about father-child relationships when she's disowned her own Dad, and wrecked her husband's relationship with his? — Morgan howled:
… she continues to cynically exploit her royal titles because she knows that's the only reason anyone is paying her vast sums of money to spew her uniquely unctuous brand of pious hectoring gibberish in Netflix documentaries, Spotify podcasts or children's books.
Of course, her equally cynical publishers don't give a damn about any of this shocking double standard.
Forget the fact that Meghan had a good degree of personal fame before she ever met Prince Harry, Piers Morgan accusing anyone else of being a cynical fame chaser is beyond parody. From his earliest days as a gossip hack, Morgan has muscled into pictures with the rich and famous, desperate to be someone.
When Meghan was willing to indulge him, he showered her with praise, but once she stopped taking his calls, he turned into the Tinder match from hell. That he has been married to his second wife, fellow controversialist columnist Celia Walden since 2010 seemingly did nothing to dampen his obsession.
Having repeatedly interviewed Meghan’s estranged father Thomas Markle — another man aggrieved because a woman would rather not spend time with him — Morgan sneers:
If she really cared about father-child relationships, she'd take a chauffeur-driven limousine on the hour-long trip to see her own father who's never even met either Harry or Archie.
It’s projection again: Piers Morgan’s ego is so egg-shell thin that after Meghan decided that one drink was more than enough, he’s spent 5 years seeking revenge and convinced that he’s been wronged, just like her ‘poor old dad’. That’s the ‘poor old dad’ that insists on talking about his daughter to journalists at every possible occasion.
At the end of an article that implies Harry and Meghan contributed to the death of Prince Philip — he died of natural causes — and rants on about “the woke”, Morgan ends with this:
But then as we've seen from her gruesomely self-interested behaviour during a pandemic that's caused so much devastation and pain to billions around the world, Meghan Markle doesn't really care about anyone but herself.
Remember, the Duchess of Sussex’s only ‘crime’ here is to write a children’s book which people will be free to buy or ignore with equal ease. But, as ever, Piers Morgan treats the news with all the proportionality of a US drone strike.
The real story here is about how Morgan — the bittiest of bit-part players in the narrative of Meghan and Harry’s lives — is so desperate to upgrade his place in the cast list that he will rant and rave to stay relevant. His departure from Good Morning Britain came after his last stream of invective about Meghan and he knows this schtick gets him the attention and money he craves.

Aside from Morgan’s column, MailOnline has published 9 other news stories on or related to the book announcement. The most telling of them is one that links the Duchess of Sussex’s book to another one… by the Duchess of Cambridge.
Headlined Bookshelf battle royale! Kate Middleton shares a glimpse inside her Hold Still photobook just a day after Meghan Markle unveiled her own £12.99 children's story, the story unsurprisingly treats Kate with kid gloves while continuing to imply that Meghan is the kind of person who would make gloves out of kids if it suited her devilish schemes.
There’s no shade thrown at the Duchess of Cambridge for revealing further details of her book just hours after Meghan’s announcement. Instead, the story — lavishly illustrated with images from the book — gushes:
The Duchess of Cambridge has shared a glimpse of her photography book Hold Still ahead of its release on Friday…
… Kate, 39, a keen photographer, launched a campaign during the first lockdown last year to ask the public to submit images which captured the period.
It even includes a mention of an image of a BLM protestor saying:
Over the course of the project, the Duchess shared a number of her favourite images on the Kensington Royal Instagram page, including a Black Lives Matter protester holding a sign reading: 'Be on the right side of history.'
If Meghan had done the same she would have been decried for “supporting extremists”. Remember the contrasting way their mutual taste for avocado was covered?
15 Headlines Show How Differently The British Press Treat Meghan Markle Vs Kate Middleton | Bored Panda
Over at The Daily Telegraph, Spiked alumna Ella Whelan offered her thoughts on a book that isn’t released until next month under the headline Meghan Markle’s fun-free children’s book may put an entire generation off reading, which makes it sound like a grimoire full of dark magic rather than a gentle children’s book about kids and their dads.
Just as with the Mail’s story on Kate’s book, it’s worth imagining what Whelan would say if the Duchess of Cambridge had written The Bench. Look at the following section…
It reveals something of the political superficiality of Harry and Meghan’s activism that an “inclusive” book would use the military father as its promotional message. Perhaps it’s a cultural thing, but if my kids have to read about soldiers, I’d prefer Hans Christian Andersen’s tin version rather than the woke posturing of a former royal.
… and notice that because Meghan is the author including a father who is in the military is “political superficiality”. If Kate had written a story that featured an analogue for Prince William — who also spent time in uniform, though in less dangerous circumstances than his ‘spare’ brother — Whelan would likely deem it a ‘touching tribute to their love’.
Similarly, Sarah Ferguson — the ex-wife of Prince Andrew, top Yelp! reviewer for Jeffrey Epstein’s houses and noted avoider of FBI questioning — uses the title Duchess of York on her many execrable children’s books.
Now that Meghan is the tabloid’s new monster in the monarchy, Fergie’s antics are pointed to as a positive with her books flattered even as Meghan’s as-yet-unpublished book is panned.

Over on talkRADIO, Mike Graham — a melting mass of expired meat — ranted about a children’s book, worried perhaps that it will contain too many long words. Speaking to his colleague, Mark Dolan — Dennis Pennis without the charm — Graham crowed:
It’s so juvenile. This is somebody who acts like she’s still in high school… I don’t have anything against her for any particular reason, other than she’s a bit too American, you know. She thinks everything is just great and cheesy. Rhyming the words ‘joy’ and ‘boy’. It’s not exactly Tennyson, is it?
Ah yes, that famous children’s author, Alfred, Lord Tennyson, known for such devastating rhymes as this one from The Lady of Shallot: “She left the web/ She left the loom/ She made three paces through the room.”
I’m not saying The Lady of Shalott is rubbish — though I do still hold a grudge against Tennyson after some very tedious teaching in high school — but that focusing on one rhyme in a poem is an easy trick if you want to say its shit. That Graham cannot see the irony in decrying writing a children’s book as “juvenile” is just one of the reasons he’s employed by a station with less than 1% reach.

There’ll be a new round of these columns, stories, and talk radio segments when the book is released, particularly as The Mail on Sunday just lost the second part of Meghan’s copyright claim against it.
There’s nothing that either Meghan or Harry could do that wouldn’t drive these rats in a sack rabid. If they did nothing, they’d be called lazy. When they make things, take jobs, or really say anything the very media that benefits hugely from stories about them scream that it’s a cry for attention. And yet Piers Morgan regularly pissing himself in public is “commentary”.

Okay first off-
-Jewish people are not white. That's factually just not true. They do not originate from Europe, which is the region where the group of 'white people' come from. They literally come from Israel. So if people native to Israel are not white then the Jewish people as an ethnicity as not white. And in fact, have been discriminated against in 'white' circles for decades if not centuries. I mean, remember all those jokes about rich white clubs that had the rule of 'No Blacks or Jews'? Yeah, that actually rings true.
-The argument for the Jewish people being native to Israel not 'helping' '''indigenous struggles''' should not affect you. You are arguing a moral standard, you must apply said moral standard in all applicable situations regardless of if it benefits you. The entire point of arguing a moral standard is that it helps makes things better for everyone- basically going 'this doesn't apply here because it fucks me over' is surrendering the moral argument. You just want an uneven playing field, not to be moral and principled.
All of this ignoring that if you can just strip the Jewish People of their 'native' card- Well...what's stopping other countries of stripping their natives of their own status? What's stopping the USA from looking at the Natives and saying 'Since no one alive in your communities actually lived during the time that they owned the land, it's ours now' and then just killing them? The whole argument for natives is that other cultures got the chance to build up their own histories so they should too. If said histories no long matter because *insert bullshit here* then anyone can make anything up to justify it.
-I think that if you were to apply that standard to everyone- You would quickly find the world screeching to a halt. Native tribes murdered and conquered each other too. Same with African tribes, who then sold their prisoners in the slave trade. We can't focus on every single atrocities committed because the number of atrocities exceed human comprehension.
-What's even the point here? That you would get sunburned from living in Israel thus it means you have changed so much that you no longer count? You do know that if I dropped you in the middle of Africa, you'd likely die of exposure right? Does that mean all African Americans have no rights to live in Africa?
This is such a dumb argument. Especially if we take the simplified version of 'This happened so long ago that it no longer counts' because to a human, 2000 years and 158 years aren't that different. You basically made the argument 'The US and Europe are off the hook for slavery'.
-And that's the problem isn't it? This isn't about 'what is indigenous?' It's 'what is beneficial for me?' You side only with the people who are a part of your argument. You care only for advancing your own privilege and ensuring everyone else is below you. The same mindset that caused the evils of imperialism.
The African Jews, ironically, have even less of a right to Israel than the 'White' Jews. Because the 'White' Jews have an actual ethnic history there, the African Jews don't. If you actually believed in the standard of 'Ethnic people deserve to have their ancestral home' then you would care more for the Jewish people you disregard than the religious Jews you support. Again, you only care about them because you see it as increasing your own privilege.
-It's literally more of a claim that the sub groups you support by your own logic but okay.
-Gonna be honest here-
You are native to America.
The only reason I accept this conflict in the slightest is because both groups have lived and grown up in that area. They accept that area and it's ideals, culture and beliefs. They are actually native to that area. Your hypothetical does not apply because you did not grow up in England. You did not accept that culture as your own. You do not have a right to it because you never earned it.
The Arabs and the Jewish People in Israel did.
-'still black ppl enslaved in the US-'
Literally been illegal for 158 years, dumbass. To such a point it's not even a part of fringe political discourse. And no, the prison system doesn't count- that isn't slavery.
-'And the discourse around Jewish Indigineity to Isareal won't change anything for other indigenous groups nomatter which way the wind blows.'
Well if the argument that 'being separated from country of origin for X years means you no longer count' is accepted- You're gonna quickly find yourself up shit creek without a paddle.
Gentile leftists, this is a PSA, and I am begging you to listen. Sharing claims that Jews aren’t indigenous to the land of Israel, that Jews don’t come from the Middle East, and/or that the Zionist movement wasn’t created in response to centuries of antisemitism & genocide is fringe revisionist history with a long antisemitic history. These aren’t anti-imperialist or anti-colonial stances. They are just antisemitic conspiracy theories.
And on the flip side, acknowledging the simple fact that Jews are indigenous to the region currently occupied by Israel & Palestine does not imply any opinion about the modern states of Israel & Palestine, their governments, or the conflict in the region. This post is not voicing support for Zionism or the state of Israel. This is literally just historical fact: both Jews and Palestinians are indigenous to the region where modern day Israel & Palestine are.
If you make this about the politics or conflicts of the modern states of Israel or Palestine—if you comment or send me asks to that effect—you will be blocked.
#there needs to be a better way to refer to refer to religious jewish people#calling a jewish person#ethnic or religious a 'jew'#feels so dirty

So to say that others should cry with the black people or stand with black lives matter movement is far from okay. What others need to really take into cons and understand, this entire world needs to start seeing that that is the very reason that our children everywhere are all questioning segregation. If we ever in our lives want to see any kind of change and bring about equality, than it's time for this country to stop focusing on race. We are the very ones who are still engaging in racism. Equality doesn't mean that we focus on African Americans alone. The media wants for us to believe that it's only people of color that are oppressed. I am not in any way taking from what people of color endure. However, I can tell you that statistics aren't always correct. Take for instance the Census recently done. How many people forgot or failed to remember to send back their forms? I did forget. So I was not counted. Neither were those who stayed in the residence I lived. How many homeless people were not counted? So statistically, it's incorrect to say that people of color are the ones who are punished ot treated differently or oppressed more than any other human race. Can anyone give me a number of how many Caucasian individuals of minority are actually mistreated, have experienced brutality by the hands of police officers? Probably not. And the reason for this, is because no one has probably done any type of study or went out and done studies on any other race in America that has endured police brutality! So to say African Americans suffer more and are more oppressed is unjust and unfair in itself. And to be quite honest, how do we as people even know our exact race, origin of heritage or ethnicity? How do we actually define our own race? Who's to say that people who are labeled as white people or individuals aren't also of African American decent? What I believe and feel and think America the not so great at this moment needs to do, is let's all quit with the labels of race. Let's all stop with the negative focus on signs ans posters for what officers do, and how about you all follow me in making posters and signs of positive affirmations, empowerment, encouragement and anything else that will lead us to true freedom in this world. This way we all end the focus on what's wrong and start the focus Om what we can change positively to bring Amazing Greatness to our hurting world. There's no one race or individual who is greater than the next. I have experienced, lived it, seen it, felt it and pushed beyond what all race of humans has been through. And I never in my 41 years of life, have made any of the wrongs done against myself or my children or family or friends, about racism. I am nor will I ever allow others choices against me, to ever be defined by "It was a racial act of anything" committed against me. What I will do, is look above race, I will stand side by side with any one who would like to see change in our world, and I will be accepting of all humans alike or different, to bring equality, peace, hope, love, accountability, integrity and commitment in change through communication of another individual face to face, so that my children ans children all across the ununited states of America, can finally see an end to segregation, racism and anything that hurts us all. And when everyone is ready to stand together, take the person's hand next to you, we can begin to speak a prayer and finally become THE UNITED PEOPLE IN ALL STATES OF AMERICA!!!!
