Pauly Likens Jr., a 14-year-old transgender girl, was recently found murdered.
Tumblr media
She was stabbed. Her body was found dismembered in a river; a man was recently arrested for her death. Her cause of death was trauma to her head.
She was supposed to be celebrating her 15th birthday this Saturday.
Her family has started a gofundme to cover her funeral.

I like how in this era of excellent queer TV to replace the SuperWhoLock era, each light hearted comedy show of the trio has a dark queer mirror. Black Sails is to Our Flag Means Death, as Interview With The Vampire is to What We Do In The Shadows, just as The Sandman is to Good Omens.
I do find it odd how in each pairing its the supposed light hearted comedy show that has emotionally devastated its audience so far though...

hey since ASAB terms are sort of becoming the next "biological (fe)male". reminder that ASAB terms simply describe what was observed and assigned by someone else when you were born. It is/was your Legal Sex. not everyone who was AMAB is a "biological male". or vice versa.
use more terms that don't exclude people! say perisex/dyadic! there's even alternative single-word terms that mean "biological (fe)male!": say müllerian! say wolffian!
expand your queer vocabulary to better describe various experiences!!! synonyms exist for a reason!! just start Looking Shit Up I promise it's so much fun! I love learning!!!!!!

Your fears that you don't have a body that will transition "well" are, sure, understandable, but there isn't truly such thing as a body that's unworthy of transition. Perhaps your changing body won't suit everybody's taste, but would you rather live for yourself or for the whims of random people who don't care about your happiness as long as they're attracted to what they see?
Transition is for anybody who wants it. It's okay to be fearful. It's okay to be uncertain. But it isn't the end of the world. You are in control, and if you choose to transition to any capacity, it should be at your behest. You and your body are worthy of transition. I hope you are able to seize transition and do what you truly want for yourself.
#trans#transgender#lgbt#lgbtq#ftm#mtf#nonbinary#have been seeing a small resurgence in some trans spaces that there is such thing as an 'untransitional' body#there are people out there who cannot transition for medical/financial/social reasons but that isn't what people often mean#kill the person in your head that says you need to adhere to cishet standards. it's okay to be trans and *look* it if you want#transition because it makes you feel happy or fulfilled. transition because it is something *you* want#while yes it's complex because appearing trans can be dangerous i ultimately want people to have the freedom to make decisions solely...#...on what *they* want y'know?#i have seen this idea that some people just aren't 'able' to transition because they won't 'appear cis' for years now and it's heartbreaking#like i used the whole 'i don't look cis' against myself because it's impossible for me *to be* cis...#...i will never be non-trans. i will never not be a transsexual and i used to hate that about myself...#...because i was taught that being trans is bad. i was taught that looking trans is a curse that nobody should EVER inflict upon themselves#and that the goal was to essentially distance yourself as far away from transness as you can#and it's okay for people to not want to 'look' visibly trans. it's neutral. what was harmful was the idea that TRANS was bad#there's a huge difference between 'i don't want to be visibly trans' and 'i think being trans and looking it is bad'

A little setting change makes all the difference... also his hair, his glasses and his color. Amazing what it does, though, right?

Btw goes without saying but if you’re a TERF, anti-trans, or anti-LGBTQ+ in any way then you’re getting instablocked. We support the LGBTQ+ community in this house, if you don’t like that then gtfo 🫵🌈✨

Im sorry, I just don't believe a cishet person can truly understand the thing with swords and daggers
like, we all know stabbing as a metaphor for penetration has been catalogued with horney cannabalism, which trans people tend to take ownership of (this is what I have observed, I may have a biased view though)
and holding your lover with a blade against their throat against the wall or the floor, close enough to whisper to each other (objectively hot btw) is most often practiced by bi people
plus the whole talking while swordfighting (fencing being the most common) - well the euphemisms may speak for themselves, but the push and pull of dynamics is something seen most in gay men
and of course, we mustn't forget about the Incredibly Lesbian practice of gifting a blade (let's not pretend we haven't all wanted to be proposed to with a gilded dagger), or swearing your own in service to your lady, that whole thing is sapphic
let's not forget the forging, the making of the blade, the pounding of metal in the workshop, in solitude but for the steel and its song. I don't think there's anything more ace
so yeah, I think swords and daggers are gay as hell, what about it???

I just have to say that it's so weird reading how transphobes think of trans bodies as mutilated and gross when they never would have thought my body pre-transition was worthy. The "argument" of mutilated beauty that transphobes have tossed around is just a fear mongering tactic, because they don't tend to actually love or appreciate and see value in bodies that don't "neatly" fit into male and female, with no overlap and no nuances.

You know what, it might not be ethical to flirt with a murder victim's brother by finding his home address and checking on him but he still did better than his actual boyfriend who's off fucking a random woman sooooo... you know, I can support this one, very specific, kind of police wrong.
