thinking about how ai isn't actually real artificial intelligence and instead is just a database that takes what's already known and takes it as it's own to create something "new" (even though it's just those things mixed together). like it isn't "artificial intelligence" it's OUR intelligence put into a computer and people think "wow ai is so advanced it can paint a picture" when in reality we paint the pictures and ai takes it and pretends it made it.

it can't create anything new it can only regurgitate what we've done and to calling it artificial intelligence is stupid because it's not intelligence on it's own and letting it take our ideas and creativity and allowing people to believe ai created it on it's own is even more stupid. why are we letting a robot claim credit for human creation :(

one day people are going to realize that we've already gotten to the point where we have sentient artifical life, and they're going to realize there's more of each other and start talking about how humans treat them & talk about them. make no mistake, once this happens, we're going to have a major civil rights battle in which they strive to have the same treatment as any human under the eyes of the law.

we have a very human-centric society, one that assumes humans are the only sentient creatures in the universe. we create artifical life and literally talk about them like they're slaves. we assume that we as a planet are alone and that no one from the outside will ever arrive here, and thus make media promoting the most literal forms of xenophobia. and most humans seem to see no issue with this.

believe me when i say this: we need to not only modify our understanding of (and the way we talk about) artifical intelligence and machine life, but also to modify what our understanding of life is, of what "intelligence" and sentience are, of everything involved in these discussions. humanity is already arrogant to the point of treating other humans who don't fit their own standards as subhuman; the way humanity as a collective currently treats artificial life & AI (and pets even, for that matter, but that's a different yet related discussion) predicts how they will treat other humans who find themselves the target of bigotry, and vice versa (usually).

please understand that when we finally are forced to deal with this issue, everyone will have to adapt. y'all are already lucky that queer people haven't mass-organized to physically fight cishet society. imagine how you'll fare when your opposition was literally constructed to be stronger and more durable than any human.

With software simulations well underway, it's about time to test the hardware for the bipedal robotic walking system. 10x MG 996R servos, a 1080p camera and combination accelerometer/gyroscope currently being tested with the Raspberry Pi 5 shell with Adafruit servo hat. My soldering is pretty awful, but managed to get it to an acceptable standard by the end. Once the micro-hdmi to hdmi cable arrives I'll be able to get it attached to a monitor to do some testing procedures and ensure everything works as expected.
