hello guys!!!! i converted the velvet goldmine soundtrack to mp3 files so you can get them on spotify!! ill explain how to under the cut <3
hiii okay so this has to be done on a pc/laptop you cant do this from you phone, sorry about that!!
first download all the files and add them to the 'music' file on your computer.
next go to spotify (on ur pc and phone) and turn on local files. on ur phone its the second up from the bottom under settings. on pc under settings when u click on ur pfp its near the top, just look for the bold 'your library' and turn local files on. another section will pop up where you can add a source, add your music file/library
THEN!! make a playlist on spotify, name it whatever you want, add all the songs to it, and download it. make sure your phone and pc are on the same network so they can download to your phone as well, and you should be good
if you have any questions done hesitate to ask!!! babys on fire is an mp4 file while the rest are mp3s, for some reason when i made it an mp3 it WOULDNT WORK! but if its messed up for you im willing to convert it to mp3 for u js ask :3 sorry im so bad at written instructions, again if u have any questions im here to help

My sister & I was trying to figure out what movie to watch today & I was about to click on “The Godfather” on Paramount+ & my sister screamed “Oh please Nooooooo please don’t” & I said “why not?” & she said “it’s because I will go down the Al Pacino’s rabbit hole & not come back out for 6 months”. Literally it takes me 6 months to recover I will watch every movie over & over but mostly “The Godfather Part I & II”, “And Justice for All”, “Panic in Needle Park”, & “Scarface” then “Dog Day Afternoon” every morning I wake up 🙂‍↕️ & I won’t stop I will make my whole family watch it w/ me also LMAO so my sister said hellllll no next movie shit I can’t believe how funny that sounds 😂but I LOVE AL PACINO SOOO MUCH!
I love every character Al Pacino plays I don’t care 🤷🏾‍♀️ what the character is doing! I just love his face so much ooh wait “Sea of Love” & “The Devil’s Advocate” is my “half sleep let me put this on so I can dream about Al Pacino”❤️
So many more movies I love that I watch all of his movies satisfies me inside! The GREATEST ACTOR OF ALL TIME!

Arthur: What are you doing here? You're... [Merlin grinned] Merlin: A wanted man? Arthur: Exactly. Merlin: Good, I hoped you might still feel that way.

31 Nights of Halloween Horror 2024
Day 16
My choice for Wednesday was Color Out of Space
Tumblr media
Wow. Ok first off, I rated this movie 8/10. Starts off kinda slow, but when it picks up, it goes from 0 to 60 pretty fast lol. Great acting from everyone, especially in the later half of the movie once shit hits the fan. Also, another movie where Nicolas Cage screams in a car (like in Longlegs), and another movie where he tries to break down a door to get to someone in the basement (like in Mom and Dad) lol. The effects were great, there were some creepy moments, some funny moments, and some truly horrific moments. Like, wow. Horrendous. Just god awful things happening to people. My only complain is that the teen brother felt underutilized? He didn't do too much other than talk to Tommy Chong, and then SPOILERS HERE he just climbs into the fucking well because he thinks he hears a dog? Dumbest decision everrrrrrr lol. This movie was nuts and so fun to watch, and visually so pretty. Definitely worth a watch, and I can't believe it took me this long to get around to watching it myself.

He held an old black boot in the air. "Meyers Toronto," was printed on the leather inside.

The Holiday (2006, Nancy Meyers) is a movie that I didn't like very much when I first saw it but every time I watch it I like it more. When I first watched it, I was there for The Beautiful Jude Law and Cameron Diaz visiting from Charlie's Angels universe. I didn't really "get" the "B plot" with Kate Winslet and Jack Black. This was before I'd seen much other than Titanic with Kate Winslet and had not yet seen School of Rock or sang along to Tenacious D. I could not appreciate them and what they were doing.
Revisiting the movie in 2020, it became a comfort movie for me during the pandemic, sometimes watching it more than once in the same day in the background while I worked. I played the soundtrack so often on Spotify it showed up in my Wrapped. Also Enio Morricone because I went down a total rabbit hole after Jack Black's character insisted.
Also watched a bunch of the films Arthur suggested or implied, which gave me another fresh appreciation for the film. Turns out as an adult Arthur's plot is my favorite and what brings me back to watch again and again. And I now know that Kate&Jack aren't the B Plot. I could shout for days about the subversion of the comedia tropes....(in this essay I will...)
It's pretty, it's funny, it's tender while not being too depressing, overall it's in favor of love above all practicality while still acknowledging logistics exist. If you haven't watched it in a while, I encourage you to give it another chance.
Here's some of my favorite stuff from and about The Holiday so it's all in one place next time I want to tell someone about it.
First of all, turns out I was raised watching Nancy Meyers movies just as much as Nora Ephron movies and had no idea. This vulture article is a fun approach to her "cinematic universe"
https://www.vulture.com/2020/12/a-chaotic-taxonomy-of-the-nancy-meyers-cinematic-universe.html
Some of the best scenes are the ones with Jack Black, so this makes it easier to find a particular scene to show someone. Followed by an old school DVD making of video. Classic.

Merlin: I am not a sorcerer. Arthur: I’ve watched you spin straw into gold. You are a sorcerer. You cannot convince me otherwise. Merlin: Maybe I’m one of the old gods. Maybe I am the Triple Goddess. Arthur: Don’t think the idea didn’t occur to me. But no. Gods are pompous and distant and in love with their own brilliance. You’re none of those things. Merlin: Thank you? Arthur: Well, you might be a little in love with your own brilliance.
