there is something horrifically grim to it, but illustrations for gaza and palestinians tend to catch more mass attention that actual photos of people. this made me feel incredibly helpless for a long while, seeing both how people would rather look at a neat drawing of red black green and white than look a human in the eyes, and how online platforms would rather push a viral drawing while suppressing those begging for help at the same time.

a way to cope with this feeling has been taking advantage of it to directly guide people to helping palestinians.

if art gets better traction, then there’s an incredible amount of good that can be done by creating art that immediately links to fundraisers. creating art of the many images of those who are asking for help.

within hours of posting my drawing, there has been jumps in the thousands for bashar from gaza’s fundraiser. it’s a small effort in the grand scheme of things. it’s not a fix it. but it’s something good. please take care of each other and do what you can. i think this could help a lot of people if a lot of people did it.

The war has not only destroyed our lives; it has taken everything from us. Our home, which was once our refuge, is now a pile of rubble ����️.

My car, my only source of livelihood, was destroyed in a sudden strike 🚗, and the work that sustained us is now a distant memory 💼. Today, I live in an endless nightmare. Under a sun that burns everything in its path 🌞🔥, my family and I sit in a worn-out tent, a tent that shields us neither from the summer heat nor the winter cold ❄️. this is not an oc i care for super super deeply so i don't have MUCH on him but he's part of a story i made for a minecraft roleplay he's a villain - his civilian name is ballad and his villain name is mirage! it uses he/it pronouns and its ability/power is reality manipulation however he can only manipulate reality around people within a certain radius he's also able to manipulate what he looks like, so this isn't what he ACTUALLY looks like like i said i don't have MUCH on him, but in my extra notes i describe it like this "similar feel to spinel in su (start of movie) but mix her with las nevadas c!quackity - showmanship like compress from mha, but otherwise not as proper as him" it wears usually suits or dresses and elbow length fingerless gloves but tbh the outfit doesn't really matter he'd wear anything also the eyes CAN move i just didn't draw them that way
