YES I 100% AGREE

there are literally SO many songs about the love interest being unable to return their feelings and none about the person on the other end!!

(Speaking from experience) it’s so hard, especially if it’s someone you’re friends with, because you don’t want to make them sad but you don’t want to lead them on, you don’t want them to drift away and stop being friends with you but you don’t want them that way. And it can make you feel horrible because you care about them, but not in the way they care about you, and you know that because of this they’re hurting.
