All you could hear were murmurs in your ears as you woke up and notifications coming from your phone. The only voices you could recognize were your roommates, Gabby and Maggie. You slowly woke up, feeling groggy as your roommates jumped at your sudden awakening.

“Finally,” Gabby said, exasperation clear in her voice. “We’ve been trying to wake you up for like, forever.”

Maggie, perched on the edge of your bed with a worried expression, gave you a small frown. “You need to check your phone. It’s… about KK.”

The mention of her name made your heart skip a beat. Still groggy, you sat up and reached for your phone, which wouldn’t stop buzzing with notifications. The screen lit up with an overwhelming amount of missed calls, texts, and Instagram DMs.

“What the hell is going on?” you mumbled, unlocking it. Gabby and Maggie exchanged an uneasy glance as you scrolled through your notifications.

Your stomach sank as you opened your texts and saw messages from friends asking if you were okay or saying they were sorry. Confused, you tapped on a link one of them had sent. It took you to a trending post on Twitter, a grainy photo of KK sitting way too close to another girl at what looked like a party. The caption read, “KK Arnold out here cheating on her girl? Guess being loyal’s not her thing.”

“What… what is this?” you whispered, your voice cracking slightly.

Gabby reached out to touch your arm gently. “We don’t think it’s true. It could be photoshopped or taken out of context.”

“But everyone’s talking about it,” Maggie added reluctantly, showing you her own feed filled with people speculating and commenting on the photo.

Your throat tightened, your thoughts spiraling as you stared at the picture. KK hadn’t mentioned going to a party last night—or being with anyone, for that matter. The doubt and hurt clawed at your chest, but deep down, a small voice reminded you that this wasn’t like her.

“I need to talk to her,” you muttered, standing up.

Gabby frowned. “You sure you want to call her right now? Maybe wait until you’re calmer?”

You shook your head, already dialing her number. The phone rang once, twice, and then she picked up.

“Hey, mama",KK’s familiar voice greeted you, though it sounded groggy—like she’d just woken up, too. “What’s up? You okay?”

Your grip tightened on the phone. “KK, what the hell is going on? There’s a picture of you all over the internet with some girl, and everyone’s saying you cheated on me.”

There was a pause on her end, and for a split second, your chest constricted with fear. Then KK’s voice came through, steady but firm.

“Wait, what? What picture? I don’t know what you’re talking about, but I swear I didn’t cheat on you. Where are you seeing this?”

You hesitated, the emotion in her voice throwing you off. “It’s all over Twitter. It looks like you’re at a party, sitting really close to some girl.”

KK sighed heavily. “That’s probably from last week at Tre’s party. I was talking to this girl about basketball—she wanted tips for her little sister. I swear, mama, that’s all it was. I didn’t even think twice about it.”

Your heart ached, torn between believing her and the doubts planted by the rumors. “KK, this is everywhere. People are saying things about you, about us…”

“Ma, look at me.” Her voice softened, and you could hear the desperation in her tone. “Well, I mean, if I were there, I’d tell you to look at me. But you know me. I wouldn’t do that to you—ever. You’re my everything.”

Tears welled up in your eyes as you sat back on the bed, your voice shaking. “I want to believe you, but this is so overwhelming.”

“I get it,” KK said, her voice steady but full of emotion. “It’s crazy and unfair, but I’ll come over right now. We’ll talk, okay? I’ll explain everything, face-to-face. Just… please don’t believe this crap. I love you, Y/N. Only you.”

You took a shaky breath, nodding even though she couldn’t see you. “Okay. Come over.”

“Come over in ten,” KK said before hanging up.

Gabby and Maggie watched you silently as you set the phone down, tears slipping down your cheeks. Maggie handed you a tissue, offering a small smile. “She sounded sincere.”

“She did,” you murmured, clutching the tissue tightly. Deep down, you wanted to believe her, to trust her. You just hoped that when she got here, she’d make it all make sense.

And that your heart could handle it.

"KK pretty pleasee it'll be funn", you said trying to drag a slouched, grumpy KK out of the car. You told her y'all were going to target for tru fu just to go a ice rink. "No! you said we were getting tru fu is the tru fu in the room with us", KK said dramatically not budging no matter how much you try to get her out of the car

"C'mon KK we will get tru fu after promise", you pleaded making her roll her eyes and side eye you. She still wasn't budging not trusting you. "You said that we were getting Tru Fu now what makes you think i'm gonna believe you now", KK said grumpily.

After a bunch of pleads and kisses you got KK into the ice skating place. KK was reluctant but slipped her skates on and took your hand onto the rink, holding it tight.

"okk follow me", you said skating away as KK stood in place.

You turned in confusion back towards her then realized, "oh my gosh KK don't tell me you don't know how to skate." When you said that she immediately frowned. "I do know how to skate!! I'm just... taking it slow", she said gripping the beam of the rink. her grip made it seem like she was gonna break it if she held any tighter.

"KK just take my hand we'll go slow ok", you offered holding out your hand. KK was reluctant but took your hand and followed your lead. Y'all slowly skated around the rink talking and giggling.

It was all well until KK slipped back and scraped her knee. You heard a yelp making you turn and realize the scene. You helped her up and brought off the ice and reassured everything was gonna be ok.

the day ended with her knee being patched and y'all driving home.

A group of five people (who had clearly until recently being sitting around relaxing in various poses on chairs and a sofa, one is giving another a foot massage, all you can see of one person is their feet) respond to a sixth individual jumping over them (it is Murderbot).

A red arrow indicates what is a possible seventh person sitting behind the people on the sofa.

Since the story Home features Murderbot and six members of PresAux in this scene, and we can see Arada&Overse, Ratthi, Pin-Lee and Bharadwaj with Murderbot (“SecUnit jumped over my head!”) I thought the arrow might show Gurathin doing his loner thing and sitting slightly apart from the rest of them?

The Dark Horse of fall 2024: 7th time loop, ep 3 review

This anime is definitely the one to keep an eye on this season! Only 3 episodes have been released and it continues to surprise me with the quality content it is offering.

I cannot describe how pleasantly surprised I am seeing the entire dance sequence animated. You can really see the time and effort they put into it. Just like the sword scene in episode 1, they went over and beyond with this one.

Every moment is beautifully drawn. From Rishe's clever hand moments to Arnold's subtle facial expressions....

It actually looked like a dance battle for dominance that Arnold won. It also reminds me of that Frieren's scene where Fern and Stark dance.

Anime Original Scenes from LN

I also loved the fact that they're animating LN scenes. Like, the wine scene when Rishe was conspired to drink a spicy wine was actually a part of LN and cut from the manga.

It shows some background characters and gives more context to why Rishe was standing alone in the balcony, after the ball dance. Arnold X Rishe scenes were also great. The cinematography, the voice acting, almost everything was pretty spot on.

Rishe choosing her maids was also nicely done. Imagine the horror.... the person you've been treating as a rookie maid is now the crown Princess who'll decide your faith. Good for her that Rishe is a decent person and she got a teaching job instead.

Looking forward to the next episode for now!

With 'Dangers in my Heart' having an entire season of fan-following and solo leveling being one of the most hyped anime of the year!!

Just behind DIMH and beating Solo leveling, it jumped 8 freaking spots!!! Also beating Apothecary Diaries and Frieren!!!

Just 2 more episodes back to back like these and it will be #01 in no time.
