Armand, Amadeo, Andrei is my favorite character in the Chronicles because of his weaknesses and strenght.

In my opinion he's not a frail, small child, unable to think for himself and in need of protection.

He's chameleonic. He adapts everytime he's in a new setting and does whatever he wants to for his own pleasure or survival.

He loves with passion and he doesn't stop even in front of danger.

Andrei was willing to die for his beliefs when he was still very young, he loved with a deep passion a religion that allowed him to sacrfice his own life.

When he was kidnapped he fought and he fought even after he was abused, he was left to die in the brothel because he didn't accept to surrender and let men abuse him. He got back to pray until someone saved him.

During "Venice era", Andrei forgot about his prevous life because he needed to protect himself from what hurt him. His mind decided to live the moment, a new life full of art, literature, friends and love.

His religion became life itself and like he did before he lived it at its max, by his own rules. Even if Marius tried to give him a sort of discipline, Amadeo was willing to follow it by his rules. He used his free will without a single thought.

But this abandon to life hurt him again the moment it was taken from him by Santino. And here Amadeo fought again, he changed form, he became someone else in order to survive at that new shift.

Armand was born and he wasn't willing to lose that world, he became what Santino wanted him to be and he liked it. Because what Armand has always had was control, even when it seemed he didn't have it, he found a way to control it and keep living.

Armand fights and changes each time someone new arrives and shapes the world around him. He leaves his past behind and doesn't look back at it. But to change he needs a guide, someone who tells him what to do and who he needs to be. Alone, he feels lost and he's dangerous.

With Louis he dicovered the consequences of his bad actions, with Daniel he discovers how to survive alone in a new world.

But something has always been left unresolved: Andrei and Amadeo.

The veil of Veronica was the door for Armand to join Andrei and Amadeo. He completes himself, he's not lost anymore, because he knows well who he is now.

The only thing left is to spill his trueself to the two people he cares the most: Lestat and Marius. And he does it in BC. He yells at Lestat his love and hatred towards him, his jelousy and his need to be useful.

We don't know what he says to Marius, but we know he fears of not being the Amadeo he was back then, but Marius always knew who he really was and still loved him with the same passion and love he loved him in the past.

For what concerns Armand's character BC seems to close with his journey came to an end. He is complete and at peace, close to the people he loves.

Always a brat, but he's loved for this reason too.

Something underrated about Marius/Armand’s dynamic is Amadeo being such a little devil and Marius still calling him “my darling one” “lovely one” “cherub” “little angel” also the most underrated and crazy “my little one”

Armand has never let go of the love he's held for anyone.

Time and again in the books, we see him mourning the loss of those he loved: Marius, Louis, Lestat, Daniel... and time again, we see that the love is still there inside him, ready to burst out of Armand when the opportunity arises.

I think it's funny how there's this idea in fanon that Armand resents the paintings that Marius made of him... Like that does not seem to be the case in canon at all. I feel like it's the show bleeding into book fandom cause Armand seemed pretty fucking satisfied that Marius would paint giant portraits of him while Bianca only got tiny handheld ones lol

What if Amadeo didn't get hurt and grew up and went to study in Bologna at University and Marius was so happy with him finding his path, but then Amadeo comes back and he's like: ok now can I be a vampire like you??? 🥰 I've been a good boy🥰🥰

Can we just take a moment to appreciate that the first thing Armand notices about Marius ever, his very first impression, is how inhuman Marius is:

"At last I opened my eyes and saw that a man held me, and these inhuman things, these things that felt so like stone or brass, were his white fingers."

He thinks Marius is some kind of divine being, maybe Christ himself, so much so that Marius has to tell him several times is not the case, but Armand is absolutely gobsmacked by how ethereal, magical, and decidedly not human he is.
