Alright I'm properly boozed and decently numbed. I promised to bitch excessively on here if our boy became a name on a missing poster. Here the fuck I am.
For reference I'm focusing on Viktor and Jayce here. More than enough has been said about everyone else. Y'all ate good. Let us starve in peace. Lots of this comes from lengthy discussions on the Viktor Nation disc.
To start - no, Viktor does not appear in the new trailer. I'm sorry, he just doesn't. Not even a voice line which should have been pretty fucking easy. Over at Viktor Nation we spent nearly an hour going over the trailer frame by frame brightening shit to see if he shows. He does not. No, not even a far-off shot of his arm. We got more Viktor in the teaser from two months ago than the official trailer.
However...
Tumblr media
100% Glorious Evolved. Fingerprints around their faces match what appears to be Viktor face-grabbing that Shimmer addict from the teaser trailer. Similar rune carvings. This is his cult. Which uhh right off the bat is much different from any other interpretations?
Basically confirms they're going all-in on runic magic for Viktor and largely veering away from classic Machine Herald. Which I have feelings about. That will be reserved for the season itself once we see it play out.
And before any smartasses come in with "lol at least you got a shot of his feet" jokes those definitely aren't his. Just one of the random cultists floating judging by the angling. And Viktor's would be full grape Fanta. The silvery/gold texture is interesting. Some kind of manipulation of metal through magic?
Tumblr media
Don't even.
Also been seeing a lot on the shadowy golden-eyed figure and we figured that's near-certainly not him either.
Tumblr media
Looks sick, I'll admit. I kinda hope it's him, in fact. Most likely not him. Face shape is slightly too squared off, ears stick out too far, yes I went in deep on skull shape for this and I'm at least 75% sure that ain't him. And Viktor's magical influence/Hexcore spookiness has been defined by purple sinews and more organic forms than this more fantastical shadow tendril thing. This seems to be a new force entirely.
I won't discount it outright since Viktor's eyes are indeed associated with gold/amber but for all I know this could be Mel. Eye socket shape/nose does vaguely match. And Viktor's eyes would likely lean more towards a purple voidy glow in S2 if they're going all-in on the Hex Core.
Tumblr media
Possible Jayce cameo? Very obviously meant to be his wristband gem, maybe somehow got fused with his skin. The grip on the object appears heavy so it's not Viktor's cane/staff. Could very well be the Viktor/Jayce confrontation since if you squint there might a robed figure standing in front of that weird fuckin magic doodad.
Speaking of...
Tumblr media
Saw a pretty interesting post from @nylloth saying this could be Viktor's "hospital" or maybe some kind of Glorious Evolved temple. It does resemble the fucked up glowing sinewy appearance of the Hex Core so perhaps some kind of hallucination or vision that Viktor is having of his potential. Would love to hear more thoughts on that though. It's very obviously related to "the Arcane" as a broader more mysterious force.
Wanted to be angrier here but I'm honestly just disappointed. Which is ass because pit fighter Vi and Ekko and revolutionary Jinx are all things I'm genuinely looking forward to but I can't rally it. I'm very glad everyone else ate good though. Does indeed look sick and I'm still excited. Pit fighter Vi especially. Holy fuck. But I'm just too bummed out about Viktor, call that dramatic or childish but idc it's how it is.
Be stingy about appearances and character designs but it could not have been difficult to include a single voice line. Don't even bother including it in the show, get a couple trailer-only lines or a "Glorious Evolution" or SOMETHING. Don't give me that "well their fates are still ambiguous" No they aren't lmao they just aren't. By this point everyone knows Jayce and Vik live and 50/50 on Mel.
If Viktor had not appeared in that teaser TWO MONTHS ago for like 2 seconds then it would be reasonable to assume he got erased from the show entirely lol. We have a shot of his arm to go off of until we hopefully get a proper Viktor poster. Cool. Nice arm.
That is all. For now. Please refrain from discussing leaks. I don't need any more temptation.

Does anyone still have access to the Arcane S2 Album?? Like the one with unreleased song titles? EDIT: NOT LEAKS. THE OFFICIAL ARCANE S2 SOUNDTRACK LIST ON SPOTIFY LOL
I can't find it anywhere I was trying to check if the artist from Arcane's IG story was already confirmed as an artist.
Tumblr media
If this artist is the one for the hidden track then I'll assume if we're getting a trailer at ALL it'll drop on the 7th. [🤡]

Mel Medarda Is Alive probable evidence megapost (cope with me)
League of Legends UK calling the gold on Mel's back "armor" and then withdrawing the post, first pointed out by @moonsdancer:
This marks an "official" source calling Mel's gold "armor." It implies that once whoever made that post realized that most of the Arcane audience is expecting Mel to be dead, they recognized that hinting that she's wearing armor is actually a spoiler. So, they deleted the post.
Mel featuring in storyboards depicting a scene that did not happen in season 1, shown by @jshepardtsoni and @mollysunder and @miraofhearts2point0:
The Riot-Fortiche workflow has been described as: extensive time and resources spent on writing up front on Riot's side, and then the scripts are sent to Fortiche and storyboarding begins. If writing and storyboarding don't happen in parallel, then that's how Fortiche was able to showcase the one-to-one relationship between storyboards and the finished animated product. There's a lot less throwaway work for the animators, which would happen with major story rewrites.
This means it is less likely that the storyboards featuring Mel in a scene that did not air in season 1 were simply cut content from season 1, and more likely that it's a canon scene that we'll see in season 2. I think relatively little ends up on Fortiche's cutting room floor. The main scene that I'm aware of that did get cut was the "boy savior" scene where young Ekko tries to save Jinx (and I have high hopes that the scene will still be used in S2).
Toks Olagundoye, Mel's VA, saying she's "not allowed to say" whether she's returning to voice Mel in S2, and saying that it would be cool to come back for flashbacks:
instagram
If she's not allowed to say anything and Riot is taking pains to hide whether Mel or Jayce or Viktor (sorta, lol) survive the attack, then of course she can't hint that she is returning. Her comment about the flashbacks definitely says to me that she was told to hide whether Mel survived the attack - she probably was not instructed to hide whether Mel gets more flashbacks in S2. She's almost certainly implying that Mel does in fact feature in more flashbacks in S2. A fan asked the question, and she wanted to give a substantial and encouraging answer other than just "I can't say anything." Her tone did not personally leave me with the feeling that her character has been killed off.
Toks saying she doesn't know much about Arcane S2 and its airdate etc. doesn't mean anything serious, considering that voice acting for the season seems to have been completed a while ago. Like most actors and especially voice actors, Toks has probably already taken on several jobs since then, so her work on Arcane isn't the project that's freshest in her mind.
The German (and Hungarian, I think) S2 trailers have Ambessa say "Half of the Council is dead" and not "Your Council is dead":
I noticed people in the comments of this trailer analysis video by Necrit talking about how the German trailer says "Half of the Council is dead." After watching the German trailer, and then poking around the other dubbed trailers, I found that the German trailer and the Hungarian trailer both seem to say "half." (I would love it if someone here fluent in Hungarian could confirm!)
From a translation standpoint, I could see this happening because some languages don't have different words for "council" and "counsel" as in "advice." Even in English, the words are homophones. So saying "your counsel is dead" would make no sense. If a translator tried to instead say "your ENTIRE council is dead" to make the meaning clearer, then if some Council members survived, the translator would have to be corrected, so we end up with "HALF of the Council is dead."
If some Council members survived, then I think it's likely that Mel is one of them, considering her armor and her several unfinished plot threads.
Please feel free to add on to this post with anything else you find!

Arcane Act 3 Theory
Tumblr media Tumblr media Tumblr media Tumblr media Tumblr media Tumblr media
Now I know the title for this theory is Act 3 but my theory begins in Act 2. And I will be doing this theory in a form of a timeline, which are just bullet points as I do not know how to do a fancy timeline edit.
Warwick plays a small but vital role - Despite his repeated presence in the S2 trailers, I think he will only play a major role in Act 2. What's that? Kicking off the Caitvi reconciliation and Ambessa vs Jinx for Act 3 (maybe the end of Act 2 into Act 3). So, something happens that involves Warwick that brings the four together - Vi gets injured and Cait abandons her revenge to save her; some altercation between Jinx and Ambessa happens which turns deadlier
Interplay of Love and Life vs Hate and Death - Involving the gifs of Ambessa and Jinx, we see they're in a similar yellow background and we know that some of the Firelights begin to side with Jinx despite previous history. Now, here's a sad thought - Jinx takes over the Firelight hideout with the Ekko loyalists leaving to find newer refuge. Ambessa finds said hideout and unleashes her attack; and Jinx and her followers get CRUSHED, many (or all) of them die. This would explain Jinx's bloody nose and scared expression - she finally becomes a leader and get trounced by someone more experienced than her and no emotional ties. Also, Sevika gets killed, I'm thinking by Ambessa's hands. Now, what about the "Interplay of Love and Life" bit? Well, given how the former two were prominently featured along with Caitvi, I (like to) think during this battle, Caitvi have completed their reconciliation via beautiful lovemaking. It would serve as a contrast - two women finding love and peace with one another while another try to kill each other. Double symbolism if the scene of Jinx vs Ambessa is surrounded by fire (since Jinx symbolizes fire) and the possible Caitvi love scene involves them making love in a shower (because Caitlyn is symbolized via water).
Jinx Execution - Ambessa strongly believes in killing symbols of resistance to squash future ones. So, after the above bloodbath, she kidnaps Jinx and plans to kill the former. Now, somehow Caitlyn and Vi find out and in amazing twist of ironic drama, they both make a plan to save Jinx. Even more ironic if Caitlyn makes the decision to save Jinx, only to show her growth.
Saving Jinx - This theory would tie in with the popular theory that the person Vi is carrying is a disguised Jinx. Plus, given how the creators love to mislead fans with their trailers, the part where we see an injured Caitlyn before transitioning to Jinx flying her airship would be subtle foreshadowing - I already theorized that scene oof Jinx on the airship is at the end where she leaves the two cities. Now, if my theory turns out to be true, the transition from the trailer makes sense - it was because of Caitlyn's actions that led to Jinx's survival.
Ties in to Theme of "Progress come with a price" - That line was from an official Arcane account and it make sense. Caitlyn, at her core, wants peace and after undergoing her own arc realizes it can be achieved only through giving up something. In other words, Caitlyn gives up the chance to kill her mother's murderer in order to spare the innocent lives of Zaun and Piltover.

Arcane Season 2 Ending Prediction
This hurts to write about, but it must be done.
I think that the final episode of Arcane s2 will end with Jinx and Vi killing each other.
Think about it, right. We know this is the final season of Arcane, and in the official teaser trailer, it tells us to "witness the final chapter." Chapters are in books and stories, and what--or rather whose--story is Arcane about? The two sisters, Vi and Jinx. So this is the end of their story.
Now, you might ask why I predict that they die, as the end of a story doesn't imply death, merely the end of the tale. Well, to that I'd say, that Jinx and Vi are very active participants in their narrative, and that to get them to stop participating fully, you'd have to put them in limbo or an Atlas situation where they were completely out of the larger world of Arcane with no chance of coming back. I wouldn't fully dismiss the idea of future cameos in Riot's coming shows, but I think the writing team really respects Jinx and Vi's story, so they wouldn't throw them in for a bit of fan-service unless the sisters were *really* integral to the new show. Basically, Riot probably won't leave Jinx and Vi alive at the end of s2, but what about killing one and leaving the other alive?
Going back to active participation in the narrative, these two sisters have been together pushing the narrative forward since the first scene of Ep1S1. If we count the Imagine Dragons Enemy MV as cannon, then we have even more proof that these two sisters have been together since the beginning, and they need each other to function properly. Correct me if I'm wrong, but every episode in season 1 starts with a vinyl record with Jinx and Vi on it, mirroring the taijitu--the yin and yang symbol.
Like the symbolism behind the taijitu, Vi and Jinx are so interconnected with each other, as sisters and to the general narrative of the story, that you can't have one with out the other.
Tumblr media
So, in my mind, this rules out the possibility of killing off either Vi or Jinx. They both have to live or die, and with the incredible writing team behind Arcane s1 and s2, I doubt they'll leave the sisters alive.
Now, why do I say that Jinx and VI will kill each other? For that theory, I have less concrete proof, but based on the s2 official teaser trailer, we already know that Vi and Jinx fight. Now, I'm betting that the fight that is shown in the teaser happens in Act 2, and it won't be the final big fight between Vi and Jinx. That will happen in Act 3--probably the last episode. Caitlyn says that her strike team going into Zaun aims to "locate Jinx," and "neutralize any agents still loyal to Silco." My guess is that Vi is going to initially focus on trying to bring Jinx in without killing her, but eventually, Vi will see that Jinx needs to be stopped by any means necessary. In their final fight, Vi is going to go for the kill blow, but at the last moment, she's going to see Powder in Jinx and hesitate. That lets Jinx fatally wound Vi with a GSW, but Vi, out of instinct (mirroring Jinx's impulse to shoot Silco at the end of s1), fatally hits Jinx. The two sisters now lie dying beside each other.
I can't accurately predict what they'll say before they die, but I think that Vi will say something along the lines of "I wish I could've protected you, Powder," and then Jinx will lash out with the whole "it's Jinx now," anger, and then they'll pass on. Basically, Vi dies crying and Jinx dies with a snarl on her face.
Also, regarding the s2 finale, Ella Purnell said “I actually just went back into the studio to complete some ADR [automated dialog replacement] for the season 2 finale – and I cried. So, I think other people will cry, too. It's devastating, and nobody will feel good after watching it" (Forbes).
Of course, this is Riot and Fortiche we're talking about, so there could absolutely be some other absolutely devastating ending I haven't even considered.
TLDR; Jinx and Vi kill each other at the end of Arcane s2 to inflicting maximum emotional damage to the viewer.
