Names, designs etc may be changed, some may not end up in final game, as my plans and the game are very heavily in the drafting stage when it comes to new features.

Perhaps the worst game design choice in Skyrim is when you are told to go kill nameless bandits who you can't talk to and just exist as random enemies, and then when you're fighting one they yell "I yield" and you're okay, that's fair, I'm just here to get some random sword I don't actually want to kill you and after all, the game tips say that if they yell "I yield" you can sheathe your sword and they'll stop fighting

Then you find out that's COMPLETELY FALSE, the game does NOT allow you to do that, the nameless bandits like all enemies in the game are programmed to fight to the death, and that's what you do, you fight them to death, because they have no names no lives or anything, they are there to keep attacking you and fight to the death for a chest with 124 gold and boots with a bonus to enchantment.

Or what's worse, the game makes them yell "PLEASE NO MORE" or "I YIELD" JUST as you deliver the killing blow. It would be an interesting comment on violence in videogames if it wasn't just a fakeout because the nameless bandits aren't actually coded to do anything but to fight you to death.

Okay, that's a bunch of poor game design choices, not just one.

Don't mind me! Just going through the Wreck-It Ralph Screencap website– Again. 👀

I love looking at all the Screencaps and just... overanalyzing them! Always small details that I didn't pick up on (especially while watching the movie)

For example, The time-lapse at the start of the movie! Since it went by real quick and all!

First off, imma say it... RALPH'S FACE IS FUCKING HEARTBREAKING TO LOOK AT. It's not the expression of: "Aw, I lost :( "

NO, HE LOOKS GUILTY. AND THIS WAS "30 YEARS AGO." HE ALREADY FELT BAD FOR BEING PROGRAMMED TO DESTROY THE NICELANDERS BUILDING.

Y'all see how Felix isn't looking at Ralph? He's either looking down at the building, like "Gosh, woo! The gamers did it! All fixed!! 😊"

Or he's looking at the Nicelanders (Sidenote: Yeah, it's most likely just cause that's how the gameplay was programmed. But I'm still gonna over-analyze it!)

Y'all see that?? The Nicelanders be smiling and happy for a moment, AND SWITCH UP AFTER FELIX CLOSES HIS EYES.

It's probably like that outside of gameplay too. They probably act one way while Felix is looking, and the moment he turns his back, THEY BECOME THE JERKLANDERS.

(^ I have to put this in cause I thought it was *SO* funny. "Man, Gene's the fucking mayor too. Goddamn Gene... fucking mayor of Pettyland." 💀 he's the biggest asshole out of all of them. Makes sense he'd be the Mayor of that petty shithole place. "nice"-land.)

Well first off - since it's the gameplay and all - for 30 years, Felix HAD HIS FUCKING EYES CLOSED; LITERALLY AND METAPHORICALLY.

Also, that's just level 1? How many levels does 'Fix-it Felix Jr' have? Does it just keep going until Felix Game-overs?

Does Ralph get thrown off the building every time a level's complete? Poor guy, and then he's treated like garbage - again, metaphorically AND LITERALLY

How did James and Arcade meet and what were their first impressions of one another?

Julie sort of set them up in a way. She suggested he go talk to Arcade since James was often getting hurt during supply runs and said he should think about seeing if any of the doctors would be willing to help (she mentioned Arcade since he doesn't do doctor work anymore and therefore wouldn't be too big of a loss in hands if he decided to leave the Old Mormon Fort)

James' first impression of Arcade is that he seemed too reserved and a bit judgemental. Arcade thought James was mysterious and a little bit odd (though both of them probably also thought "he's kinda cute" as well lmao)

Needless to say that once they got over the moments of awkward silence and actually started talking their opinions on each other shifted and they ended up growing fond of each other (ie...Arcade finding James rather courageous and kind and James reading Arcade as a rather sensitive and caring person)

this was just an observation my friend made a while ago but it got me thinkin' a little bit. Personally, I got over my aversion to sports by fencing in college. Coz it turns out I didn't hate sports. In fact, I think training and learning the rules and pushing myself to improve is super fun! That's the same stuff I like about video games. And despite being a life-long poindexter, all that physical activity felt GOOD, and it was nice to connect with folks.

What I hated about sports as a kiddo was the shame. I hated people acting like I ought to know this or that (despite being a know-nothing child). I hated being excluded and looked down upon for not being good. I despised the way the adults around me treated kids wrt sports. Also I couldn't see and had asthma and neither of these problems got treated until I was on my way out of high school (getting my first inhaler was one of the main reasons I was able to fence at all, in fact).

combat sports are great to me because they're all about that individual journey. I didn't have to worry about letting a team down who might yell at me later for my performance. It's just me and my own heart and my love for the game - THAT'S sports.
