How is everyone?

Yep, I'm a bit grimy, and its been a while, only because I've been permanently attached to my owners purse. She carries me everywhere. I'm her lucky mascot!!!

Let's start with Angus - or little Moo. He is originally a doorstop but he's too cute to be stuck on the floor

His long fur tickles my nose hahaha

Then there's the Charlie Bear clan. They're so snuggly but I've got to watch the dragon, as her sneezes are red hot and could melt my paintwork (I've got to ask Brains about that, see if he can come up with an indestructible paint!)

Ohhhhhhh Beastie! He looks ferocious, but once I fed him some beast approved snacks, he's just a big softie. Look, he's sleeping in this pic

And now the bunnies - and Kitty Cat, who I've had to separate, because in their tote bags, I can hear those two arguing. I wouldn't want to get between those two, I can tell you.

Hi! Can I get a Star Wars MxM pairing? Here's a bit about me if it helps! I'm 5'10, I have dyed blond hair but the roots are black (my natural colour lol.). I usually wear baggy clothes, graphic tees, beanies, funky sunglasses, denim jackets, and converse- I'm also super interested in streetwear. I always have a messenger bag or tote bag on me- both of which are littered with pin badges. I love writing, especially sci-fi or fantasy scripts for films. I have a massive camera collection and I love filming and taking photos of stuff! I'm an ENFP and an Aquarius. I present to you, analysis nights.

No, seriously. If you want to know how you got as close as you both did? It was these, hands down.

You'd sit together in the ship, barracks, mess hall- literally anywhere and just talk- with or without his brothers around.

Tech is a bountiful source of knowledge. If he isn't aware of something, he's a few holopad touches away from finding out. And getting to share this knowledge? With someone who is JUST as passionate as he is? He's in heaven.

Film and story plot analysis? Talking about books? The Bad Batch never allows him to do this. He's chatting with you for hours over just about anything he's come across browsing the holonet. Seeing you just as engaged as he just makes him bubbly inside.

Of course, these sessions don't just consist of him talking. He's sitting next to or across from you, nodding intently as he processes everything you're telling him for minutes to hours at a time.

If you aren't just info dumping to each other over stuff that one of you has heard about and the other hasn't? It's a seemingly endless back-and-forth exchange of ideas and opinions.

As much as you enjoy this time together... the boys know to stay away. Wrecker, Crosshair, Echo, and Hunter know it's time to give you both some privacy as soon as one of you starts piping up about one of your special interests. It's not intentionally spiteful, per se, it's just that when both of you pick up and get going? Getting a word in edgewise is difficult. Especially considering they can't always follow along.

While they're walking away after the first few discussions, they place bets on how long it'll take for you both to realize you have chemistry- if you haven't already, that is.

You can thank Crosshair and Wrecker for this. It wasn't long before everyone committed credits to the pot, though.

Tech finds your style of dress both endearing and interesting- especially when it comes to streetwear and such. There was one occasion where he just sat there analyzing your tote bag, pointing at the individual pins and asking what each of them mean. He makes sure to keep up with any new ones he discovers, and has even brought you some between missions.

I present to you Tech and yourself sitting on his bunk, watching films and video essays on your holopad.

Tech watching you skateboard so easily back at base, a look of mild distrust on his face as he eyes your board- the likes of which you happen to be offering to him with an audible offer to "teach" him how to use it.

Seeing videos of how to do it and doing it yourself are two very different things, he finds that day, as he sits on his ass with Crosshair and the rest of the batch unceremoniously laughing their asses off by the ship.

They wish they could've caught that wipeout on camera, and I'm not convinced at least one of them secretly has.

Tech helping bleach your hair in the washroom as you write scripts on your holopad or scroll through the photos you've taken on your camera, occasionally lifting it up for him to analyze when you find a picture you particularly like.

Tech helping you write by acting as an editor/beta reader for any pieces you're willing to share with him.

Tech seeming particularly shifty one week as he goes about business elsewhere, deliberately avoiding contact with you because it's a well-known fact that he's horrible at lying.

You go about your day mildly concerned at seeing him scurry away into his ship or random rooms to avoid you, only to head back to your room to crash for the night, utterly exhausted.

When you get there, you find a red and black beanie with a skull and holopad emblazoned on the rim resting on your bed with an apology note from Tech, explaining that he'd been attempting to get this as a gift and didn't want to spoil the surprise.

Turns out he wasn't upset he was just being a sappy lover.

Oh- Crosshair won that bet by the way. The others groaned as they paid up while you walked into the ship hand in hand, and Tech looked rather perturbed as they did so. Crosshair just smirked.

had a relatively normal upbringing outside of two workaholic parents who were somehow simultaneously hovering over her and rarely present . she grew accustomed to the 50/50 chance that only one of them ( or neither , as she got old enough to take care of herself ) would be there , learning to be independent and fend for herself at a relatively early age .

WHEN ALL THE BRIDGES HAVE BEEN BURNED:

jennifer pierce expected the best of her children. she gave them the best so of course they had to return the favor. she had inherited her father’s business, and was excelling so much her husband took her last name. it wasn’t a feminist thing, but a money thing you see. alethea grew up without a want, but the truth of the matter is she never knew what she wanted. her mother made those decisions. from what she wore, to how she cut her hair, to who her friends were and what activities did. her entire life was planned to a t, and alethea never questioned a moment of it. how do you question something that you didn’t know was an option?

her brother jacob was doted on, and grew up with a grin and popularity. this was easy to him. this was painful for alethea. she smiled and waved, and the only matters of relief she found were in her ballet classes. going professional hadn’t been her mother’s first plan, but seeing the natural talent her daughter was, and just how feminine she was, allowed this small change in the over all path forward.

jennifer and carl met at ogden, and she knew that was where her children were to go. there was no exception, and jennifer would do whatever needed for her kids to follow her legacy. the major was flexible, but they would go to ogden, they would find suitable spouses, and they would carry on the family legacy. it was picture perfect, and she never heard a single word of complaint from either of her children. 

AND ALL THE TABLES HAVE BEEN TURNED BY ME:

growing up without decisions meant college was terrifying for alethea. she had to pick her classes, find friends that her mother couldn’t approve of, and suddenly had free time that wasn’t planned out for her? it was paralyzing. but during the second week of classes greer spotted alethea across the way and took her under her wing. she showed her what the world could be, and she still fit under that approval from jennifer pierce. greer wasn’t just her best friend, but she was a bit of a savior for her.

this whole time there has been a gnawing in her chest. a desire for freedom, a petition to let the real alethea out and run free. but who was she? alethea couldn’t answer that, not honestly. just who her mother had manufactured her to be. but this confusion, this shyness, this quietness played into a different picture of alethea. it allowed her to be whatever anyone wanted her to be, they could paint their own ideas of her. she could be mysterious, she could be all they ever wanted. and she could be a dream.

and it was through this exploration that alethea slowly stepped out of the pillars her mother had built for her. first came the time greer dared her to kiss another girl during spin the bottle, and alethea realized that she might have enjoyed it more than her mother would have liked. and then came the time greer put her in a suit instead of a dress, and she liked the way it looked on her. and that maybe she wasn’t a girl after all, but something that could be shed. and so they started to pick up new pieces of theirself, putting them together to form a whole new journey. was ballet even the career they wanted? did they even like ogden? who were these people that had been decided as their friends? the questions became overwhelming.

WHO WILL BE LEFT TO LEAVE? JUST ME:  

and now greer is gone. and it’s noticeable the change in alethea. it began before her disappearance of course, but could it somehow be correlated? alethea willingly goes out, sometimes alone, now. they are keeping greers friends, they are speaking up and out, they have a bite to them that hadn’t existed once upon a time. what does the future hold of alethea? are they becoming who they really are, or are they once again pretending, shedding the quiet role they had lived into for all their life for one that looks a little more like their now missing friend…

GREER:

during freshman year at ogden, alethea was absolutely lost and in-over her head. she had never been the rebellious type, her parents had been too strict to allow non-sense in their house, and so alethea was overwhelmed with the freedom college could allow, and she had no idea how to deal with it. her mother had always taught her to seek out the ‘right’ people to befriend, and it was just her luck that greer extended her own friendship to alethea. she brought them to the parties, encouraged her to flirt with whomever was necessary in order to go after who she wanted, and overall guided alethea through college. they doesn’t know if she would have been able to survive any of it without greer. there was little jealousy on alethea’s side at the beginning - she was just grateful for what greer could offer her through her friendship. and alethea was not a threat to greer. but as they’ve grown older there has been a tension living in the friendship, the reliance upon each other that might not be as necessary anymore. alethea was not anymore outgoing or less shy, but now her shyness was being interpreted as mystery, making them a bit more intriguing to others and perhaps sparking some jealousy on greer’s side.

THE DRAG-ALONG:  

you know that girl that was always a few steps behind greer and the fallen princess? the one with wide eyes and a quiet demeanor? they never seemed to talk much, but even in their silence never seemed to be entirely so observant that you had to watch what you were saying. really, she just seemed like a little pet to the best friends, a third they allowed to follow them around. 

and that person? that was alethea, taken under greer’s wing during the first weeks of school freshman year but never brought too close. it was the kind of relationship where alethea was sure to call greer one of her best friends, and greer might hesitate, only referring to them as a simple friend. but wherever the fallen princess and greer were, alethea was there. fingers picking at each other, posture both immaculate and slouched. each semester they seemed to get a bit bolder, inching their way up next to the other two, but still never find herself as an equal.

When Astrology Meets Aesthetics

I can't seem to get away from the exploration of aesthetics or just general navel-gazing about how I present myself to the world in my day-to-day life. So I've decided to lean in and continue the exploration until I bore myself to death and move on.

In this post, I engage in pairing astrology with aesthetics and where I think my lifestyle reflects my astrological vibration. (So if you're into aesthetics, but not astrology or astrology, but not aesthetics, this post may not interest you.)

A quick note: Some of the traits, colors, or activities I do on a regular basis aren't mentioned below because it's something I think all of the aesthetics I embody are known for, so it doesn't really belong to just one of them. (For example, eating in or hanging out in cafes while reading, writing or people watching. I feel that activity really belongs to all of the aesthetics below.)

you saw it all in front of you. tiny easels, watercolor paints, cheap paint brushes, jars filled with water. sandwich bags filled with snacks, tupperware containers filled with random dishes.

and a tin of cookies. "i tried my best," he admitted, sheepishly offering you a baked treat, "i'm honestly sure they're not that good, so you don't have to eat-."

you took a bite out of the cookie. it somehow crumbles in your hand but hurts your jaw at the same time, not quite sweet enough to be considered a cookie, if you we're being honest, definitely more like a puck of crumbled bread if bread wasn't good.

"oh my god, you hate it," suga said.

you didn't respond, just pursed your lips and raised your eyebrows. he started to apologize, tips of his ears burning, shaking his head. "i don't really know what i was doing trying to-."

"it's okay, i'll teach ya how sometime," you offered, cutting him off and taking him by surprise. his features softened instantly.

Is there any college guy who doesn't live in a grubby apt like that though? Agreed he'd smell great still independently and also would have rugs and candles and clean sheets in his own room.

okay so here is my take on college harry: everything as already described in that post, but also he’s the type of dude to have ibuprofen and tums in his bedside table (among some packs of gum, condoms of course [lube, let’s also be real], incredibly tangled headphones, a book that he got three chapters into before forgetting about it, six different types of chapstick and lip balm, a lighter, and some hair ties/clips (some are his own, others are from various peoples he has had in his room/bed (do with that what you will). he also has some pads and tampons under the bathroom sink because he’s considerate like that and grew up in a house with women, and if the tampons are super plus, he’s not entirely to blame bc he doesn’t understand the full mechanics, he just thought that means they’re the best. there’s no rhyme or reason to how his clothes are organized, most of his drawers contain a few of everything - shirts, socks (never has any that match, underwear - and that’s if they end up in a drawer at all; most of his laundry stays in the basket once it’s washed, and once in a blue moon does it end up folded. however, his wrinkly t-shirts and hoodies always smell like fabric softener. he goes for early morning runs on campus before class, because he’s one of Those People who like to start the day as the sun is coming up, and he’s always disconcertingly chipper, even at 7am if you happen to pass by him. he’s always late to class but always apologizes, so his professors are never that mad (except for a few who aren’t phased by his charm and dimples). he likes to impress people with his “cooking” which is actually just cooking chicken or ground beef in a skillet and slapping some spices in there for “fajitas/tacos”. however he actually is quite good at making banana bread. he always has pens for people in class if they need one, pulling them out of seemingly nowhere, because all he travels with is a worn tote bag. he’s fun at parties - warm and affectionate and swanning around the room to talk to anyone and everyone - a happy drunk who still helps clean up at the end of the night or the next morning. for every five people who like him, there’s at least one person who finds him less than amusing, usually someone who had his attention for a bit before his aquarius instincts kicked in and he was assuring them that they’d still be friends as he found someone else to he was interested in, and the cycle goes on. it’s not malicious, he’s just a little (a lot) avoidant and hates conflict but also doesn’t know how to commit. he gets decent grades, has no intention of going to grad school, and really doesn’t have a clear sense of direction for his future. but he does a lot of yoga and feels very grounded ~in the moment~ and that’s good enough for him. college harry….my beloved
