@quiescent-trolls Kurt!!!! I have gone on at awoke length about them multiple times,, but they're seriously super sweet and easy going. Another person who's really go with the flow but is very fun to joke around with!! I also wanna say their art is immaculate!! I really adore the designs they have and have made.. all really feels unique to them!! Has a certain flavor of sophistication and thought details in every one of them.. And I also think how Kurt plays their characters is very interesting too.. It's a certain way they speak.. Very.. Refined? Also has playful undertones! I don't think if you gave those characters to someone else, that they could play them the same way Kurt does

@miks-fantrolls Mik <3 Love dis guy. The times I've gotten to speak with them has been treasured dearly! Mik is super fun and pretty easy to bounce ideas off of. Not to mention the flavor of humor is right up my alley.. And Miks art?? Both music and drawn and writing? AWESOME. I genuinely didn't know that there were people in the community that did make music and Mik manages to encapsulate the topic or topics of choices really well in what they make. Very thought out! I also think Miks style is super striking and uses the angles/shapes to their advantage! I still adore that one Viktor piece a whole lot

@fnatrolls Aquaaaaa!!!! Man, aqua is super kind and also has some of the funniest lil quips. I haven't gotten to talk with aqua too much, but it's honestly pleasant to see them post + talk in the tags or in comments!! I want to say the way they bring their media to life and the world building that's been going on with their whole little crew? LOVE IT MAN.. I LIKE SEEING THE WHOLE INTERPERSONAL DRAMAS... LIKE SEEING THE TENSION.. The vocabulary Aqua has in their writing kinda reminds me of chases?? Like it's very thought out and sets the mood and builds a lot of fucking tension that makes me sit on the edge of my seat.. I also adore the way you do your portraits and sprites! A very somft style but the way you push yourself to kinda try some stuff out (pose.. hair length.. hair weight. clothes.. etc etc.) Is really inspiring!

Awww, I’m really glad to hear that you were able to see your cats again, I’m sure they really enjoyed seeing you! And I must say that your new hyperfixation has really made me (and I’m sure many others) smile to see - I wasn’t really able to get into many Crash games myself unfortunately, but I do still own the party game on my DS! I think it’s called Crash Boom Bang? I’ve had that game for a very long time, and so seeing you and others on my dashboard start to talk about the series does bring a nice bit of nostalgia to me for that reason!

Also, thank you very much for your kind words about what I was able to get at the convention - I’m not sure I actually said what I got on this blog, but I managed to find and buy a Eula sticker, an Aqua badge (from the only person at the con whose art I actually recognised from the internet, which was a very odd feeling haha), I won an Umbreon print from a lucky dip that reminds me a lot of Luna, and I also got a Kirby badge! This was in addition to a Pyro Abyss Mage charm, which matches my self-insert, Lamia. I still need to figure out how to store and display my acquisitions, but I’m really happy to finally have some physical things, and I’m hoping it’s the start of many more items here and there ^-^

2020 Creator Wrap

Rules: it’s time to love yourselves! choose your 5 (or so) favorite works you created in the past year (fics, art, edits, etc.) and link them below to reflect on the amazing things you brought to the world in 2020. tag as many writers/artists/etc. as you want (fan or original) so we can spread the love and link each other to awesome works!

So, this is pretty embarrassing, insofar as I have not created much of anything this year and therefore have little to link to. So there are 2 links and 1 excerpt of a WIP. 

A Graveyard of Stars. I am actually really proud of this one. It’s the first (and only, so far) attempt I’ve made at writing Endgame!Thor, whose depression and nervous breakdown have made him a very different Thor from the one I am used to writing. I like to think I did an okay job, but more than that, it was really a great writing exercise bc I enjoyed really just exploring what I could do with the character. 10/10, would create again. 

The Sea at the End of a Cliff. A perpetual work in progress, but in my defense, I do have a plan. It’s just the “being motivated to write it” part I’m struggling with. This had a few updates this year and some pretty significant plot developments (addressing Brunn’s alcoholism, which I have been trying to do; Loki and Brunn breaking up, bc love isn’t always enough (and also angst); Dagny developing more as an OC and building a friendship with Loki; Loki and Tony developing their friendship; Loki and Thor perpetually being Loki and Thor). So even though it’s not much, I think I can still count it as a win. 

And my current work-in-progress, which started as a seed of an idea that wouldn’t leave me alone and which is a little bit complicated, plot-wise, which I’m trying to work out. My original goal was for it to be 10k, but it might end up 15k. Since I can’t link it yet, here’s an excerpt (which is a continuation of the snippet I posted recently and still needs a lot of polishing but whatever):

“I wouldn’t worry, brother,” Thor says, when Loki gives voice to his concerns - not just the long voyage to Earth but what, exactly, Thor intends to do there once they arrive. Certainly, there is no love lost for Loki. It is in all of their best interests for Loki to be long gone before the Statesman ever breaches Earth’s atmosphere. 

“I have a feeling everything’s going to work out fine,” Thor adds. 

They are standing at the huge window in Thor’s quarters, beyond which lies the vast openness of the stars. Loki glances from the window to Thor, and then back again, a flicker of a smile crossing his features. There is absolutely no reason to believe that everything is going to work out fine - and, in fact, ample reason to believe that exactly the opposite - but just for a moment, Thor’s optimism is a touch endearing. 

Instead of responding outright, Loki just inches a bit closer and nudges Thor’s shoulder with his own. It takes both of them by surprise; neither can remember the last time Loki had reached out and willingly touched Thor first. “You can be quite stupid,” Loki says, before Thor can voice it. 

Thor’s eyebrows draw together. “Why?” 

“Not everything will magically work out. It’s naive to believe that. You’re king now. Naivete is dangerous.” 

“I prefer optimistic, not naive.” Thor lifts his shoulders a bit. “We’ve just gone through Ragnarok, Loki. The end of everything. How can you blame me for wanting to believe it’ll get better from here?” 

“I don’t blame you; I just think it’s short-sighted.” 

“Stupid, you mean,” Thor supplies flatly. 

“Yes.” 

A muscle moves in Thor’s jaw, which makes Loki step away again, re-establishing the space that he’d closed a moment ago. “I suppose you think you know better? After all, you have been ruler of Asgard the past four years. Or were you too busy drinking wine and attending the theatre to concern yourself with the rest of the Nine Realms?” 

Loki hunches his shoulders, refusing to meet Thor’s gaze. He had started this conversation, but Thor’s tone grates on him now and he wishes that he’d said nothing at all. “Forget it,” he snaps. “I’ll keep my concerns to myself from now on.” 

“You be sure to do that.” Thor turns away; he stalks over to the liquor shelf and busies himself with pouring a drink. Loki watches, an odd sensation creeping over him, like he wants to crawl out of his skin. Perhaps Loki had been too blunt in calling Thor stupid, but that doesn’t mean he’s wrong. Thor has barely stepped foot on Asgard in the last four years - it is Loki who kept the realm afloat while Thor gallavanted around the galaxy doing norns knew what. 

Of course Loki enjoyed leisure time; any king would. That did not mean he’d shirked his responsibilities toward the throne. 

Stolen throne, a tiny voice nags him, a voice Loki resolutely ignores. It’s semantics anyway. 

“What,” Thor asks, when he realizes that Loki is just staring at him. 

Loki blinks and shakes his head. He intends to say nothing; instead, what comes out is, “I just wish you listened to me.” 

“You don’t have all the answers, brother, even if you like to pretend you do,” Thor counters. He sighs, rubbing the bridge of his nose as he sets down his half-empty glass. “I’m sorry. I value your opinion.” 

Loki snorts. 

“I do,” Thor insists. His gaze flickers over Loki and something in it softens. “I want you to be here with me, making decisions with me, helping me rebuild Asgard. It’s just that I hate it when you call me stupid. Always have.” 

Loki feels his shoulders slump a bit. “You’re not stupid,” he grants, “but you do stupid things. You act first, and think later. Our situation is so precarious now, I just …” He trails off, shaking his head. “I just worry.” 

“I didn’t realize you felt so strongly about the good of Asgard,” Thor responds, picking up his glass again. He takes a long swallow, so he doesn’t see the stricken look that surely crosses Loki’s face, if the way Loki’s heart drops without warning is any indication. 

Would I have come back if I didn’t? he wants to ask - but, Thor will likely just dismiss Loki’s actions as manipulative in some way, even if he had not yet figured out how. It is what always happens. 

Instead of giving voice to his hurt, Loki just shrugs. His features have recovered by the time Thor looks at him again.

What are all your Kingdom Hearts pairings?

I am so sorry I never answered this:( I kept meaning to, but every time I’d get distracted with family being over for the holidays.

I used to have a ton of KH ships, but I’ve kind of cooled down on a lot of them now (for some reason. IDK why I think I’m just not as interested in romance as I used to be. I still love it, of course, but now I value other kinds of relationships in series, too.) So for the most part, I’m really only going to tell you the ones I search for in the tags every day and maybe a few others.

SoKai is my ultimate OTP forever and ever. It always has been and it probably always will be. I don’t really ever see that changing. I should maybe mention that I also like the fandom’s invention (that I helped to create;)) of dark Sora and Kairi. And, yes: that even includes the rare dark Kairi… that I should really finish my fic of.

I love RokuShi a lot, but I’ve even cooled down on them a little. They used to be one of my ultimate OTPs–and to be fair, they still kind of are–and were my second favorite KH pairing (heck, there was a hot second where I even liked them more than SoKai. Weird, I know), but now they’re probably more equal with my other ships and most don’t even come close to reaching SoKai level for me.

Namiku. I love it a lot and mostly always have. RokuShi and Namiku are my ideal pairings when it comes to shipping Roxas, Xion, Riku, and Naminé with people. Though I do love RokuNami now, and have for a while.

Speaking of: RokuNami.

Terqua. But maybe not as much as the above. IDK. I’ve kind of flip-flopped on this one over the years. And KHIII really made me love them again… but at the same time, I’m okay with them being platonic and like siblings… which is apparently what their relationship in canon is, along with their relationships to Ven and vice versa. (According to the KHIII Journal and Ultimania).

Gulava. They’re precious and I love them a lot.

Skulmera.

PlayerStrelitzia.

Epheplayer (I’m also okay with SkuldPlayer, or EphemerSkuldPlayer being OT3d, but I probably prefer PlayerStrelitzia and Epheplayer first… and the latter one is funny, because I think I used to prefer SkuldPlayer over it. But not anymore. I blame all you people who make cute Epheplayer stuff:)

ElrenaStrelitzia.

VentusStrelitzia, because of the fandom. Because of the fandom (also with a side bit of VanitasStrelitzia because of the fandom). But not if Ven in any form is her killer.

IraInvi… just because of that one line in Back Cover about Invi not wanting the others “to get the wrong idea about them”… even though I kind of don’t like Ira that much (yet. Hopefully that’ll change), because he kind of feels like a wet blanket to me so far.

Maybe Aced and Invi, but just because of Terra and Aqua feeling somewhat similar to them, if I ship AcedInvi at all. I don’t know if I do. Also, maybe Ava and Invi. IDK.

SoRiKai… Because I can take the things I don’t like about S*Riku if Kairi’s involved, though it’s not my favorite (I’ll always prefer SoKai by itself. But I’ll still happily take SoRiKai posts, since it’s better than the alternative… which is Kairi being left out of everything, that I can’t stand).

RiKai. I ship RiKai a lot. Mainly because my old best friend loved loved loved loved them (and a few other of my RL friends, oddly enough), and she was always trying to pull me over to the RiKai side… And while I still prefer SoKai, she did make me like RiKai a lot. And because this pairing is made up of tropes people usually love, so I don’t get why it’s not more popular. And because their story in KHI (mainly on Riku’s side) breaks my heart in the best way possible.

Roxiri… for some reason. I blame awesome YouTube editors for this one.

Vanaqua (that I actually ship a lot, and also look for in the tags a lot. Even though I don’t love them as much as the first pairings I posted here, but still maybe moreso than some of the other ones I put in the middle here. I don’t know why I put this ship so low).

Vennami (same thing as VanAqua).

Venaqua… or at least I did until the age difference.

And I get why people ship them, but they’re kind of meh for me, but maybe getting a bit better. I’ve just… always had some issues with them (mainly that I feel like Riku kind of goaded Xion into committing suicide to save Sora: which is an issue I had with RokuNami for some time, too, and took me many years to get over for them. But now I have and they’re one of my fave pairings). But at the same time, I wouldn’t hate it if it happened.

Riku and Aqua, for some reason (though that darn age difference!). Maybe because I ship Terqua and this ship has stuff in common with it, and Riku’s sort of the version of Terra that passed with flying colors?

Perhaps Marluxia and Larxene, since I think that’s where the narrative is going. Perhaps.

Haynette. I also don’t mind Pencette. I also like Roxette quite a lot.

I shipped Larxel long ago, but not anymore. And yet I always feel the need to still put it down for some reason…

Ira and Aced, maybe: they did have a good arc in Back Cover.

Brain and Lauriam, possibly, because of the fandom. I’ve seen some Ephemer ships here too, I think, that could be cute.

TerraVen a bit… Well, maybe I did a bit before I knew their ages… probably not now (I shipped them a bit back in the day, when I felt like in BbS they cared way more about each other than they ever did Aqua).

Xion and Repliku a bit… maybe. But I’d prefer them more to have a sibling bond.

Yozora and brown-haired Stella! I will go down with this ship, as I’ve been shipping “them” since Versus XIII, essentially. And maybe Yozora with some of his bros, but we’ll see.

There are probably some FF ones, too (though I don’t care about them that much)… usually the canon ones, like CloTi, Zerith, Clerith, TiYuna, Squinoa (because Nomura eluded long ago that she was a part of the fall of Radiant Garden and why Squall changed his name to Leon, in losing her for the time being), and maybe Seifer and Fuu. But I’m also okay with things like Selphie and Tidus, Leon and Yuffie, Leon and Aerith, and even Leon and Tifa because of one amv (where he started liking her in seeing her as a replacement for Rinoa, and then began to fall for her as her).

Oh, and Neku and Shiki… slight JoshNeku, and maybe Joshua and Rhyme (because I’m still somewhat Joshyme trash, gosh darnit) and some BeatJoshua (though this is moreso for TWEWY, of course, than KH. But they seem to be their true TWEWY selves in KH, so…)

All of the canon Disney couples, of course.

Edit: Maybe Ven and Skuld, now that Ven asked her to build a snowman together and all. Their interaction there was cute.

…I realize I told you I was going to make this list short, and really I pretty much put everything I could think of. I apologize (and a lot of this did not end up in any good order whatsoever), but SoKai, RokuShi, Namiku, RokuNami, Terqua, Gulava, Skulmera, PlayerStrelitzia, and IraInvi (for some reason) are the ones I look for in the tags every day (also, Vanaqua. And sometimes Vennami). Then, it’s probably RiKai and SoRiKai at this point? With some of these others thrown in there? Like the “If Kairi died and sadly stayed dead, maybe Sora and Naminé could be a thing” kind of ones? Even though they don’t come close to the other ones? IDK.

The people who have read my previous fan accounts know that I ramble a lot in them, so I apologize for that in advance. I will talk about the whole experience which will also include the time before the actual concert. If you don’t want to read the before you can just scroll to the part titled “Concert”

I flew to Berlin on Friday morning and had to get up in the middle of the night (3:30 AM) for it. While I boarded the plane at 7 AM in the morning all I could think was “I’m getting too old for this – for all of this!” Funnily enough I already spotted other fans at the gate flying to Berlin as well. In the morning I met up with a friend of mine who happened to be in Berlin as well on that weekend. We had breakfast and went to a museum; one of those you in which you stand in front of an object, wondering  if “this this art or can it be thrown away?”. Later on I checked into my hostel and met one of my roommates. I shared a room with two other SHINee fans who I met on a Discord channel that was created for the sole purpose of Taemin at Music Bank. She was very lovely, but quickly vanished because she had to wait in line at the concert hall for a number. The numbering system for the standing tickets was a complete mess and people already camped in front of the concert hall on Thursday. My other roommate only arrived at 2 AM in the morning, because after his flight from Denmark he immediately went to the venue to get a number as well. I was just glad that I had a seat and didn’t have to worry about getting a number.

Friday afternoon I met up with @sobeautifulitkillsme which was very frightening and terrifying! I’ve met her on tumblr in July of 2016 and have kept talking to her ever since. I think it was the longest time I’ve talked to someone online that intensely without having them met in real life before. But good news! We don’t hate each other’s guts now and still talk just as much *throws confentti* 

We went to a planetarium because that’s what you do people! Anyway, we had a fun time together and when I came back to the hostel at around 11 PM I just showered (the washroom was awful) and fell into my bed.

The next morning I grabbed breakfast with one of my roommates before we drove to the hall at around 10 AM. The lines were already incredibly long at that point. A lot of fansites and support sites handed out banners, balloons, photocards, and in the case of shawolseurope even lightsticks at the park right next to the venue and the lines for the goods were ridiculous long. You automatically meet a lot of people while waiting for stuff or just hanging around, so I talked to a lot of people though I’ve never learned any of their names. I still wonder who that girl from Norway was. She seemed very nice but I lost sight of her when I had to get into another line. :(

After getting banners I joined my Danish roommate beneath a tree in the park because I didn’t know anyone there and had no idea what I was supposed to do until the concert. My roommate happened to know taedelight who sat beneath the tree as well to give out her super beautiful postcards, therefore I witnessed a lot of Shawols squealing over meeting her. That was very adorable to witness from an outsider point of view. ^^ Anyway, we sat beneath that tree until 3 PM before the people with the standing tickets went into their standing sections (cages - we called them cages) and I went back to the hostel to grab something to eat.

I came back to the venue at 6 PM and sneaked in line for the seating tickets because I spotted Gitte (bblingspot) and while doing so I discovered an old student of mine sitting on the ground (I already feared that would happen because I had so many Kpop fans sitting in my classes). My seat was in Block P and funnily enough I ended up sitting next to a Taemint. The people to my right were all EXO fans and when I stored all my stuff beneath the seat I turned towards her and asked “Are you German?” because I noticed that she was alone in this Block as well. After she answered with Yes and I went on to ask “Whom are you here for?” and she said “For Taemin <3” all I could say was “That’s the correct answer” and we talked throughout the show. She was still super young (either 17 or 18, I forgot) and her friends were in the standing section. She had been a Taemin fan for five years already and was so nervous and excited to finally see him live. I more or less mothered her through the show, told her that it’s okay if she has to cry and if she needs some support that I’m right next to her. She already lost it when Taemin came on stage for the entrance. It was very cute, because I could relate to this so much since I still remember how I felt when Jonghyun came on stage during my first concert of his

Everyone screamed their lungs out when the show finally started. It was insane. Really. One by one the artists came on stage with Korean and German flags in their hands and the volume of the screams only rose. Before the actual start of the show the organizers had already shown videos of the participating artists on the screen and that was already insane. I think I’ve never screamed and cheered as loud as I did during Taemin’s performances before, but as a Shawol I felt the urge to let Taemin know that many people also came to Berlin to cheer for him.

Taemin looked soooo beautiful!! I’ve already seen him live with black hair, and with blue hair, and with blond hair ….but the way they styled his hair that evening! That was incredibly beautiful. I was already in awe after he had just entered the stage. At first I thought he might be not in a good mood because him and the EXO members all looked bored out of their minds in the background while the MCs spoke to the audience, but later on he smiled so much and looked so genuinely happy to be there that I thought the sun was up.

After the introduction all the performers disappeared from the stage again and the concert started with Stray Kids. Except for EXO and obviously Taemin I had no idea who the other artists were, only knew them by name but had not heard a single song by any of them. However, I was pleasantly surprised by Stray Kids! I liked them a lot. They were fun to watch, the songs were nice, and they performed well. Since this wasn’t a SHINee concert it was fun to watch the single SHINee lightsticks stand out from the rest of the audience. Even while Taemin wasn’t performing Shawols supported the other artists by waving their pearl aqua lightsticks around to cheer for them which I thought was very nice. I wasn’t too impressed by either G-Idle’s nor Wanna One’s performances. They both performed really well and sung really well, but the songs just weren’t my cup of tea but it was lovely to hear how many cheered for the only girlgroup in the mix since girlgroups always have it harder at these kind of events (or let’s be honest - in general).

I remember how everyone on tumblr speculated what mysterious performance Taemin could do in Germany after performing Despacito in Chile and Reality in France. My neighbor and I really hoped he would pull a Rammstein or something, but then Chanyeol came on stage with a song that was such an obvious choice that I facepalmed myself for not having it on my mind beforel. Oh my! I mentioned only a week or two ago that in another life I’d be a total Chanyeol stan, because in my world we support talent and musicality, and his performance of Wind of Change was just so lovely?!?!?!?!?!?!?! I melted into a puddle of goo. He performed it with a guitar and his pronunciation was so good and I was all heart eyes.😍

The thing is Wind of change is an incredibly old song, and I’m quite sure 80% of the audience who were 18 or younger had never heard this song before which I think was sad, but I sang along very, very loudly while waving my SHINee lightsticks around (me an actual old person getting all nostalgic). There were also other special stages with Boney M. songs, but just with the Scorpions I’m quite sure most of the audience had no idea who Boney M. were. :’)  

Stray Kids, Wanna One, and G-Idle also performed other popular Kpop songs from BTS, GOT7 and Big Bang and the whole venue was shaking. There were also quizzes in between the performances and during one of those quizzes the audience had to decide whether the statements were true or false by making an O or X with their hands. All the artists’ questions were very simple to answer but then the Taemin question was “Taemin’s bloodtype is B” and the whole audience fell silent except for Shawols who all formed an OOOOOOOOOO with their hands. I only said to my neighbor….a question only Shawols can answer. I don’t know why they chose that question to be honest?!! But there was also the statement “Taemin looks very pretty” and the screen showed a short clip of Taemin backstage looking all cute and angelic and everyone was losing it. LMAO

I’m not biased when I say that Taemin got the most standing ovation. I mean EXO-Ls were insanely loud, but the cheers were still very different. Taemin came on stage and everyone was like

(╯°□°）╯︵ ┻━┻ AJIAJSGPIJAPGJWAPSJGPDHOAJORSFJOÜVANWOAJSÜGOJAGOJA!!!!

Even on the way home fans from other groups praised him. He just has that effect on people. But I also heard someone next to us say before the concert “When Taemin comes on stage my friend is going to leave the venue. She hates him and I was just like ???? Why? How? How can anyone hate Taemin? For what? For being awesome???? I was very confused by that statement to be honest.

Taemin started off with MOVE and I was so happy to finally see that performance live. Oh man, he looked so good *cries* The fanchants were so good! The best fanchants during the evening! I was so proud of Shawols! I even received comments from Korean shawols on the video I uploaded, praising Ishawols for their fanchants. They were really good and all on point! You did well Shawols!!!

Taemin was all professionally sensual during the performance but as soon as he song was over he smiled so brightly. It was soooooo adorable. Unlike the other performers he didn’t say anything in German or English, which I thought was a pity. (Addition: Apparently he did say “Hallo ich bin Taemin von SHINee” but I didn’t hear that. It must have been drowned out by cheers) Either way, in that moment I had the very sad thought that if Jonghyun would be standing there on stage (as a known lover of the German language) he probably would have said “Achtung Achtung! Ich bin Jonghyun” unleashing all his German skills. :’)

So, Taemin continued talking and joked around with the audience, being his playful and dorky self and I think at this point everyone in the audience was already in love with him. I mean how can you not? He’s just so precious. He performed Press Your Number next (that’s the point when I started filming as well). After Press Your Number Taemin showed us his surprise and all the Shawols went crazy when Minho and Key appeared on the screen behind Taemin. I already expected something like an introduction for Taemin like Key did for the Music Bank in Chile but hearing them sing together was too much for my poor heart. It was soooo precious. Taemin’s face lit up so much when he saw his members on the screen, it was so cute, all my mother feels awakened and I cheered even louder.

Taemin also performed Hynposis and Danger and both performances were soooooooo awesome. The Shawol ocean looked so beautiful during Hypnosis and I was so touched by how many pearl aqua lightsticks lit up during it. Taemin sounded absolutely fantastic through all of his performances and his outfit was sooo nice and he looked so handsome in it. I was so sad when he left after his last performance because he could have stayed there forever. I don’t think EXO-Ls would have approved of that, but it was so nice to see him live again after over a year.

For the final everyone came back again to the main stage, holding banners in their hands and when Taemin turned to our side I started waving both my lighsticks very frantically and he waved back almost as frantically with both arms ;_; It was adorable. In general, Taemin made sure to walk to every section and wave at all the pearl aqua lightsticks he could see. Such a precious human. The show ended with Gangnam style and while Taemin held back at first he then wandered over to Kai, whispered something into his ear and the two of them walked to the middle of the center stage together with someone from Wanna One (don’t know his name…I’m sorry) and then they went completely nuts, acting like absolute dorks. I think you can find a video of that as well. All this couldn’t be seen on the main screen though, because the people behind the camera had a thing for Daniel Kang (who I only know from  watching Master Key) and filmed him throughout the final stage – literally only him – nobody else. I was very confused.

When everyone threw their banners into the audience I already expected great things from Taemin and he didn’t disappoint. He went to the edge of the stage and threw his banner – very poorly. It fell down right away and didn’t even reach the first row. I laughed so hard at that. He threw it so gracefully and yet he failed completely….He was the only one who didn’t manage to throw the banner accurately I might add. I don’t know what happened to it later. One of the staff might have picked it up to hand it to one of the fans.

Everything went by so quickly and before I knew what was happening I was outside of the venue already, looking for my roommates. It was such a nice experience, really. And it was so lovely to see Taemin smile so brightly and look so happy to see so many Shawols in the audience. It warmed my heart. Really. 

This was very fragmentary but Taemin only performed 4 songs + the “I want you” duet with MinKey, so there is not much else to say. But you all probably have seen photos/videos of his performances already and know how beautiful he looked that night – he really did.

I hope he will have a splendid time during his Japan tour and will rock the audience. But I also hope that he will have time to rest in between, because this tour surely will bring him to his limits. Please take good care of yourself, Taeminnie! Eat well and rest well! You deserve the world!!!

An unpopular opinion: I might get hate but since I’ve been asked, I do not like Aoi’s new avatar as Blue Maiden very much and I have a reason for it. While I do reblog some Blue Maiden art, it’s mostly because Aoi looks her age in that art. Aoi looks like she is a 25 year old adult in that form (she looks like she could be older than Emma) when she is 16, a minor. She looks so much older with all of that heavy makeup and I believe the designers gave her certain accented “features” that she doesn’t have in the real world. Aoi looks like she is a sex symbol which is not appropriate and I feel that her avatar change was not necessary since she looked fine as Blue Girl instead.

Character I feel the writers screwed up (in one way or another): Again I may get hate but Aoi when they made her into Blue Maiden. As soon as she became Blue Maiden, the writers are trying to force her into in the narrative claiming she is an indirect victim when she wasn’t at all. It’s like they’re saying you can only be significant if you are a part of the incident when you don’t have to be; Aoi was already significant beforehand. And Aoi’s motives were all over the place. She said she was fighting for Miyu but she was barely mentioned during her duels with Haru and Bohman, hell even Aqua barely brought Miyu up and she is supposed to be her real partner (they basically made Aqua into a Blue Maiden cheerleader). Suddenly the focus was all about her and her bond with Akira and when Aoi dissapeared, she focuses on her brother and while that was nice I honestly think she should have given more focus and a sincere apology to Aqua and Miyu. Those two basically became afterthoughts and I believe that is a huge insult to her friend who Aoi claims she is fighting for but the writers made it about her again.

Like any cat, Sapphire gravitates towards warmth, and Pyra is naturally very warm to the touch. I myself have also been in a lot of pain for the past two days, and heat is pretty much the only thing that helps alleviate that. So, I figured it would make sense to render some Pyra hugs, because I’ve been thinking about her a lot lately ^-^

Ruby, Weiss and Yang gifset (RWBY) - i really like how the coloring turned out on this one. It was my first time trying to color a gifset from scratch!!! (other times i use the amazing psd of tumblr - which i reblog all of them here - to get a base). i also really liked the animation of this scene and the girls relaxing after some time apart was amazing (too bad Blake wasn’t there  :(( 

Haruki and Miou first meeting gifset (Itsudatte Bokura no Koi Wa 10 cm Datta) - i also loved how this coloring turned out. I think the colors ended up matching the scene well. It’s my favorite pastel edit ♡

 “...mixed in with the smell of the river, was the scent of rain “(Sangatsu no Lion) - i remember watching the anime and being like omg this animatiooooon. march comes in like a lion does have great scenes that deserve to be giffed lol. i had a lil bit of trouble choosing scenes with very similar colors so i  had to edit each one separately. in the end i liked the result!

“ Right now, I have to cross paths with this person...” (Sangatsu no Lion) - this was a gifset that surprised me. the green ended up standin out more than i expected (which made it better! in my opinion) and, even still, it didn’t get all pixelated. in the end it’s a bright colored gifset of a scene that i loved . (the color game is strong in this anime gosh). and this gifset got its first notes pretty fast too! thank you, guys!! 

 “...Didn’t she tell you to get strong?” (Elsword) -  honestly i loved this coloring. i don’t know which adjustments i used to make it like this, but i think it’s one of my favorites. and it was very fun choosing which frames would be giffed (there’s a lot of emotion in that scene heheh). and it felt like the number of gifs used, as well as their size made it look even better.

EXTRA: Ignis & Aqua / Aster & Luna (ocs) - okay i wanted to include one more in this ranking  because it’s an old drawing of mine. but i still love it. especially Aster and Luna at the second pic. seriously i didn’t think their outfits would end up well (tbh who would think i knew how to design a character?!). i didn’t draw anything for this year yet (i have a block or something), so i got this one from my previous blog.
