After astonishing the pirates with fancy swordplay, is now being ferried around by the them on a makeshift palanquin as their “Pirate Lord”  | Beyond wine drunk and keeps losing layers because it’s “too hot” | Is engaging in some cross group friendly rivalry in the ages old combination of booze and hurling sharp objects at a target | Passed out in the gutter halfway to the fourth pub | Whether it is incendiaries or herding the entire crew onto an impromptu dragon flight, whatever surprise is planned will be memorable

The orc-dams are said to be more frightening than the orc-bulls, because they are infinitely stronger than the males of their kind. This is a logical conclusion, of course, as orc-dams are made to be many things at once: they have to be matriarchs, they have to be fighters, and they have to be birthing machines, capable of replenishing the numbers of the orcish horde of Angband at the soonest possible time. Orcish society is actually very matriarchal in terms of power structure; it is the females who birth the orcs, and they get first pick of who gets to survive – knowing from birth which calf to discard if it shows any sign of deformity or weakness. And, if their mates prove unsatisfactory in any way, an orc-dam can consume him, or slaughter him, and feed him to his children. No life is wasted in Angband.

Thus, orc-dams have little to fear – except their immediate superiors, who are stronger, more powerful and more monstrous than they are. In recent years, the orc-dams of Angband also learned to fear another aside from the Great Lord and the Fiery Lord – Agarogol, the Sindar slaves call him – this beast who wore the shape of an elf, but can turn into a great vampire and consumed orc-bulls and orc-dams indiscriminately, not just draining their blood but also eating their flesh and breaking open their bones for the marrow.

1. Monster by Meg Myers - I’ve been listening to a lot of Meg Myers lately, because her entire song catalog is like a Loustat playlist. In particular, this song works exceptionally well as being from Lestat’s perspective, especially if we’re talking about *ahem* AMCstat. “What have I become? I’m a fucking monster. When all I wanted was something beautiful. My love, too much. Your love, not enough.”

2. Shadow Preachers by Zella Day - I feel like this one works for Loustat or Stony. “You make me wanna love, hate, cry, take every part of you. You make me wanna scream, burn, touch, learn every part of you.”

3. Hurts So Good by Astrid S - this is on my Stony playlist, for when I’m feeling particularly angsty about the ship.

4. Wanna Be Missed by Hayley Kiyoko - this song gives me strong Tony Stark or Lestat vibes. Love the line “Wanna be held, fragile like glass. Cause I’ve never felt nothing like that.”
