hate hate hate how you have to make a twitter account to see ppls tweets now. like I deleted mine for a reason (rancid bad vibes + more ads and bots than posts) but some artists I like are ONLY on twt and :( man... I get how annoying having 23434 social medias to post stuff on is. im not really annoyed at the artists who do that (just having 1 place for their art) but im annoyed at the websites that do this -_- let me innn

the way obscure apps you scroll 5 minutes through app stores to find, made by 1 guy in a country that only has internet coverage in 10% of its territory, with a UI that looks like it was made on windows xp, work better and more reliably than the big ''essentials'' run by billionaire companies

HELP US STOP CHAT CONTROL!
If you live in the EU, you absolutely need to pay attention to what's to come. What is Chat Control, you may ask? In a (failed) attempt to combat child abuse online the EU made Chat Control, Chat Control will result in getting your private messages and emails to be scanned by artificial intelligence aka AI to search for CSAM pictures or discussion that might have grooming in there. And on top of having your private conversations handed to AI or the police to snoop in, like your family pictures, selfies, or more sensitive pics, like the medical kind, only meant to be seen by your doctors, or the "flirtatious" kind you send to your partner, you either have to ACCEPT to be scanned...or else you will be forbidden from sending pictures, videos, or even links, as said here.
Kids should absolutely be protected online, without question, but the things that Chat Control gets wrong is that this is a blatant violation of privacy, without even considering the fact that AI WILL create tons of false positives, this is not a theory, this is a fact. And for all the false positives that will be detected, all of them will be sent to the police, which will just flood their system with useless junk instead of efficiently putting resources to actual protect kids from predators.
It also does not help that politicians, police officers, soldiers etc will be exempt from Chat Control if it passes. If it's for the sake of protection, shouldn't everyone get the same treatment? Which further prove that Chat Control would NOT keep your data of private life safe. Plus, bad actors will simply stop using messenger apps as soon as they know they're being tracked, using more obscure means, meanwhile innocent people will be punished by using those services On top of this, the EU also plans on reintroducing Data retention called "EU Going Dark". Both Chat Control and EU Going Dark are clear violation of the GDPR, and even if they shouldn't stand a chance in court, its not going to prevent politicians from trying to ram these through as an excuse to mass surveil European citizens, using kids as a shield. Even teenagers sending pictures to each other won't be exempt, which entirely goes against the purpose of protecting kids by retaining their private photos instead. Furthermore, once messaging apps are forced to comply with Chat Control, the president of Signal, a secured messaging app with encryption, have confirmed that they will be forced to leave the EU if this is enforced against them.
Tumblr media
If Chat Control also ends up targeting any websites with the option of private messages, you better expect Europe to be geo-blocked by any websites offering such function. I would also like to add that EU citizens were very vocal in the fight against KOSA, an equally bad internet bill from the US-- and it showed! Which is why we heavily need the help of our fellow US peers to fight against Chat Control too, so please, because we all know if it passes, the US government will take a look at this and conclude "Ooh, a way to force mass surveillance on citizens even more than before? don't mind if I do!" It's always a snowball effect.
Tumblr media
KEEP IN MIND THE EUROPE COUNCIL WILL LIKELY VOTE ON CHAT CONTROL THIS 19 JUNE OF NEXT WEEK TO SEE IF IT WILL ENTER TRILOGIES OR NOT. Even if it does enter Trilogues, the fight will only be beginning. Absentees may not count as a no, so it is crucial that you contact your MEPs HERE, as well as HERE, and you can also show your support for Edri's campaign against Chat Control HERE.
You can read more on Chat Control here as well, and you can find useful information as to which arguments to use when politely contacting your MEP (calling is better than email) here, and beneath you will find graphics you can use to spread the word!
YOU CAN ALSO JOIN OUR DISCORD SERVER (linked here) TO HELP ORGANIZE AGAINST CHAT CONTROL NON EU PEOPLE ARE MORE THAN WELCOME TO JOIN TOO!
Tumblr media

PLEASE REBLOG ! NON EU PEOPLE ARE ENCOURAGED TO REBLOG AS WELL CONTACT YOUTUBERS, CONTENT CREATORS, ANYONE YOU KNOW THAT MAY HELP GET THE WORD OUT ! Let's fight for our Internet and actually keep kids safe online! Because Chat Control and EU Going Dark will only endanger kids.

We know Ao3 doesn't have an app and yet they keep popping app. That makes me feel that people want it and get exploited by the fake ones.
There isn't a plan to make one but, have a PWA been considered?
Hey chaoticneutralchocolate -
The main reason that apps pop up for AO3 is not because fandom folks want it, so much as app-making-folks want to monetize fans accessing fanfiction. All those apps? they have ads. that make the developer money.
Currently, we do not have an API (application program interface), which is needed to allow an app to interact with our servers. Developing such an interface and then the apps themselves (for the various mobile platforms) would take significant time and coder effort. It’s unlikely to happen while the Archive code is still rapidly changing, as this would require the apps to be updated for each change. You can see more details at our news post on the subject: https://archiveofourown.org/admin_posts/3390 .
Even a browser-based app interface would be a tremendous amount of work that we do not have the staffing (or inclination) to establish or maintain.
In the meantime, you should be able to access the fully functional Archive using your device’s browser with our mobile stylesheet, and to download works to read offline with an e-reader app. You can also add a link to the site on your home screen ( https://www.howtogeek.com/196087/how-to-add-websites-to-the-home-screen-on-any-smartphone-or-tablet/ ) for quick access!
I should note that, due to fannish response, the app stores removed a number of unofficial apps in 2020. See the Fanlore page for more information: https://fanlore.org/wiki/AO3_App_Wars
(if you see an app out there claiming to be AO3 or using our logo, send a message to OTW Legal and let them know the name of the app so they can look into it!)
I hope this answers your question!

I've been seeing a lot of AEW fans who aren't sure how to watch the upcoming Wrestle Dynasty show, so here's a brief explanation!
Wrestle Kingdom, Wrestle Dynasty, and NJPW's big "mystery card" show New Year Dash are all included with a NJPW World subscription at no additional charge! All you have to do to watch them is subscribe to NJPW World.
A 30-day NJPW World subscription is $9.99 USD. The subscription will allow you to watch shows as they're streaming live, and watch them in the archive after they've aired. It also gives you access to the rest of the videos in the archive.
You can subscribe whenever you want - you'll get 30 days of membership starting when you subscribe. Just be aware that the subscription renews on Japan-time, so if you only want a month, cancel a day early to make sure the time zone difference doesn't get you.
All three shows will have live English language commentary. To change the commentary language on any match, click the gear button on the bottom left corner of the video and select English audio.
The app should default to English. The website is also available in English - If it doesn't default to English for you, just click the button on the upper right corner to switch it to English.
You can subscribe in the app, but I don't know if the app stores add any additional fees, so I'd suggest subscribing on their website to be safe.
Shows taking place in Japan will of course happen on Japan-time, which tends to be late night or early morning in the US.
Wrestle Dynasty is scheduled early to accommodate American viewers - it starts at 1 PM Japan-time, which is 11 pm EST / 8 pm PST. If you want to watch the livestream, I suggest hitting play about 5 minutes before the show is actually scheduled to begin - sometimes the service gets overwhelmed right as big shows start and everyone starts watching all at once.
The other shows air at more standard times in Japan, which means later at night from the US, so if you want to watch them live from the US you'll have to wake up early or stay up late. But you can also just watch the archived shows later.
Wrestle Kingdom is New Japan's biggest show of the year, and absolutely worth watching. It will air on 1/4, the day before Wrestle Dynasty. Each year of NJPW is structured like a season of a TV show, and Wrestle Kingdom is the climax of the different stories from the previous year. You can think of it as the "season finale" for NJPW's 2024 season.
New Year Dash is New Japan's annual "surprise card" show. It will be on 1/6 this year. New Year Dash functions as the first episode of a "new season" of NJPW, by introducing new storylines for the new year. There are always some big surprising events, and it's likely that at least some wrestlers from AEW will show up for it this year.

On Humanity, Tenets and Convictions
The V5 corebook does an appalling job of explaining how these mechanics fit together and what they represent; I don't think even the Players' Guide really hits it in the terms that are needed. I don't want to jack the excellent post by @vixensdungeon but nevertheless, the urge to explain things on Tumblr dot Com, the App and Website, is very strong in me this morning.
Humanity itself is objective. Each notch on the scale has defined, concrete mechanical impact on what the character can and cannot do, and these are consistent no matter what the character thinks or believes or feels, and these are universally applicable, no matter who your character and my character and her character might be. At one end of the scale your character is Literally Unplayable; at the other, they are more human than most humans, certainly than most RPG protagonists, and might as well be unplayable considering the role of the TTRPG as societally unacceptable behaviour simulator (cf. Power Kill, as usual).
Tenets are subjective but shared. They are the ethical rules on which our story operates: the things that we have agreed should provoke a moral crisis in our vampire protagonists. For Humanity loss to occur, you need these cues and triggers, these "thou shalt not" rules, and for that central fact of the game - that unlife isn't life and living it makes you less of a person - to come up in play, they need to be rules your character is going to break.
Without Tenets you have no idea what makes Humanity vulnerable and precious and worth saving; there are not many universal, objective, "doing this always gives you a Stain" rules in V5. You have to do the work here. The game needs you to decide what's horrific in order for its personal and political horror to exist at all. You cannot skip this. You cannot rely on a universal morality that isn't there and isn't shared to dictate Humanity loss. The game needs you to think about these things.
Convictions are subjective, and entirely personal. They are the "but thou must!" imperatives which allow your character (and only your character) to justify breaking the Tenets and retain a grip on their Humanity. They create the opportunity for your character to resolve their moral and ethical qualms in their own favour every so often; to stop the process of play being a nihilistic rush down the Humanity scale. VtM works if you all speedrun down to Humanity 4 and act like the usual "chaotic evil until proven otherwise" TTRPG protagonists but it aspires to make you think and feel things about that and the rules are set up to demand you meet that aspiration.
If you want a vampire game where the state of being a vampire isn't a moral issue, can I recommend Vampire: the Requiem Second Edition? A game with an objective, universal definition of Humanity and the threats to it as "experiences that remind you you are not a human being any more," and the more fundamental that reality check is, the less likely it is a character will retain Humanity when confronted with it? It's extremely tidy and doesn't demand that you establish and interrogate any of your own principles. It's not moral "degeneration," it's experiential "detachment," and that hits very differently.
Also, none of this is to do with Lines and Veils. Tenets are rules you want your characters to break. They are the substance of your morality play. They will come up in play and they will do so often. Lines and Veils are rules about what you as a player do not want to have to experience at the gaming table and they are not supposed to come up/be directly narrated. One of these things is part of a core gameplay function and one is a safety tool. Know the difference.

Hi there! I was wondering: on the Libby app, there's the option on books you don't have yet to get notified if that book is ever added to the catalogue. When we hit that button, do you all get to see that as a way for us to "request" a book? Or should we still send in a formal request for the books through the form on your website?
This sounds so confusing, hopefully you understand what I'm trying to ask, but if not just say so and I'll try to explain more!
Thanks so much for all you do 🩷💞
We see those notify me tags! it definitely functions pretty similarly to the request form in the way of ‘someone wants us to have this in the library’ so we should put consider adding it to our wishlists.
one of the reasons we have the request form to start with is that we were asking people what they were interested in before we really launched - so before we we on Libby. now that we are, the notify me tags are pretty convenient in that they show us all at once how many people are interested in certain titles.
the only reason you’d really need/want to fill out the request form as well is if you have something you really want to say to add context to that request. for example, we’ve had authors say ’this is my book!’ but otherwise you really don’t have to do both.

🪐 WITCH TIP 🪐
(this is one post in a mini-series about witchy apps i use)
In my craft, I like to use planetary hours. Partly because it feels like a nice boost to my spells when I do them in the hour of the planet with corresponding… correspondences, lol, and partly because I have executive dysfunction and putting a time limit on when to start or finish a spell by helps me out a lot!!
Planetaro is the app I’m gonna talk about in this post, because its main function is about what planetary hour we’re in! Now, I could always google it and search for a good website, but there’s a reason I like to use this app instead.
If you’re interested in using planetary hours but don’t know what each planet represents, you can flip a switch in settings so it’ll tell you the planet’s correspondences
It has widgets. Yes, yes, widgets again, I love them a lot. Home screen and lock screen! The widgets I use from this app not only tell me what planetary hour we’re in and when it started and will stop, but also the sun rise and set, the planet that rules the current day, and the order of what planets will rule the next few hours!
AND, listen here guys: you can choose the color of most of the widgets, AND the app itself. I appreciate this so much lol, since I love to keep a certain color scheme on my phone. It offers a custom gradient, but you can also just make both colors the same if you want a solid color.
All the info I listed in the second bullet point is also in-app, ofc.
It tells you the planetary hours of the whole day in-app, and for any other day you choose! You can go in the calendar and pick a day if you want to plan ahead, or if your curious about what it was during a spell you casted already.
You can turn on notifications for when the planetary hour changes/when the hour is ruled by a specific planet. I’ve used this so that I’d get a notif when I should start a spell or blow out a candle or smth
It also gives you tips of good things to do based on the planetary hour, and I don’t just mean magical. I personally don’t use this feature, but it could be fun!!
This app is entirely free aside from a few widgets that you’d have to purchase—but there are other free widgets with the same amount of info on them anyway!
Yeah I can’t think of any downsides for this app. It’s great! I’m very glad I found it!
Tumblr media
This is the app on iphone! Again, idk if its on other devices.
Hope this helps out someone else as much as it has me, or inspired someone to try out using planetary hours in their craft!

Can you track this??? There is no way she has 30 million views.
https://www.tumblr.com/wales-reign/771869288312307712/can-anyone-fact-check-this-shes-got-11-on?source=share
All the view count means is how many times that post was seen (not was the video actually watched).
It's also artificially inflated. Meghan has been trending in the US topics for the past couple of days, which means this specific post has been algorithmed to show up in front of tons more people who wouldn't otherwise see this. (Myself being one of them - I've trained my Twitter algorithm to show me pretty much just travel photos yet this specific Netflix post showed up on my FYP anyway.)
Pretty much any time this post shows up on your algorithm, that counts as a view. So if it shows up in your FYP when you're browsing on desktop, that's 1 view. If it shows up again when you're browsing on your phone/mobile app, that's a 2nd view. if it shows up again when you're searching, that's a 3rd view. If it shows up again when you're scrolling another trend, that's a 4th view, so on and so on.
The "real" number of views and video watches is, most likely, much closer to the number of accounts that have actually engaged with the post (87,000 plus 30-40% for bots).
And for anyone interested in Netflix tracking, we have to wait until the show comes out and they update their weekly tracking.
That website is here:
Edit: so it appears that Tumblr’s link tool isn’t quite as functional anymore. Here’s the direct URL for copy pasting.
https://www.netflix.com/tudum/top10/tv
For posterity (and in case that link doesn't work), here is the global ranking as of December 29th:
Tumblr media
You can see rankings by country but the country rankings don't show data about views. As for how Netflix determines view counts, their formula is "hours viewed" divided by "runtime."
(More about Netflix's calculations here: https://about.netflix.com/en/news/top-10-things-about-netflix-top-10)
We won't see Meghan's show enter the rankings until the January 21st data dump (rankings for the week January 13th - 19th) but the more meaningful one will be the ranking posted on January 28th (for the week January 20th - 26th) when the series would have been out for over a week and we can determine whether there really is word-of-mouth for the show.
Also for comparative purposes, the Harry & Meghan docuseries was released on December 8, 2022 (part one) and December 15, 2022 (part two) and:
Tumblr media
As we can see, the views ticked up for Week 2 when Part Two released but then immediately nosedived for Week 3.
If I had to guess, these are the benchmarks that Meghan wants to beat. (Polo, by the way, never cracked Top 10.) But I anticipate her show performing similarly - Week 1 numbers will be really good, but they'll nosedive for Week 2.
Thanks for the head's up about this! I'll definitely track it myself as well. I'll try to remember to post the Tudum reports but please don't hesitate to remind me about it when the time comes.

become an academic weapon 📚🔫✨
hi all !!
with my GCSEs this year, and only a few weeks before back to school, I decided to really lock in yesterday 🫣
so I thought I'd take all the info I've come across while scrolling through studytok and put it into a little post for everyone looking to improve in their studies (& for my benefit as well 🙈)
Tumblr media
motivation
this is probably the biggest factor when it comes to locking into your studies, motivation can quite literally make or break your academic achievements (😦)
so, its very important you motivate yourself, and moreover, stay motivated 😭
i've made it sound daunting but motivating yourself is lowkey easier than you think, here's a few ways to do it:
picturing yourself in 10 years, where all your studying and hard work has paid off - you can't be that person without doing the work that they did 😬
you can also do the opposite of the above - imagine how disappointed you'll be if you didn't work as hard as you could have and failed
"revenge studying" - the most toxic yet probably the most widely effective technique - working hard so you can beat than the people who are better than you
make studying aesthetic - create pinterest boards, look at quotes and tiktoks, make success your greatest desire
make it an addiction - if you're bored? study. had a bad day? nothing like setting yourself up for the best future. having a great day? go make it better by making yourself smarter.
get a motivational study app - i LOVE 'Study Bunny' I've been using it for two days now and it genuinely motivates me to be more productive to keep my bunny happy 🙃
Tumblr media
resources
obviously, you need some help where you can get it despite all the controversies surrounding studying and the use of the internet, there are some amazing online resources you can use that will actively help you 📚
Quizlet/Anki - both of these flashcard platforms are incredibly useful - Quizlet is a fun platform and you can search for flashcards made by other people - Anki, in my opinion, is better than Quizlet for memorising, and you can import flashcards from Quizlet.
Mindnote - A mindmap making software online, a user-friendly interface + is quick and easy to make them - Great for visual learners
YouTube - the teachers on YouTube are incredibly helpful and can explain any topics you're confused about very quickly and very thoroughly
Spark Notes - great for English literature, with in-depth analysis of your texts and modern translations
Physics & Maths Tutor - free past papers and topic questions for core subjects and a few others, great for active recall
Study Bunny/Flora - helps keep track of your progress and keeps you motivated, I recommend Study Bunny because I can see how much work I've done of each subject and tick off things on my checklist
these are just a few out of many other resources so go do some of your own research, especially if there are websites that help with a specific subject
Tumblr media
techniques
different study techniques work best for different people, no technique is a one-size-fits-all, some people are visual learners, others perform best by memorising & etc.
active recall - the only one-size-fits-all method - is a cognitive function that you carry out to remember things in tests, so practising this is a must -> the best way to do this is by completing topic questions and past papers using minimal amounts of notes. basically just testing yourself before the actual test
Spaced-out revision - one of the best ways to make sure things stick in your mind, revise a topic/subject and revisit it every few days, eg. 1, 3, 5, 9, 15, 30; and by the 30-day mark it should be stuck in your mind because your brain believes its something that you need to know in the long run and stores it in your long term memory
Flashcards - great to memorise content for the test, especially subjects that are tested with orals
Scribble method - scribbling on a piece of paper while revising the content in any form, reading, listening, etc. helps your brain store the information you're consuming more effectively
Feynman method - basically just explaining the topic you're revising to someone, this helps you develop your understanding and catches out any areas you're unsure about to revise later
making mindmaps - this is great for visual learners, especially if you use different colours for each section of the map so that you can associate each concept with each colour and recall them easily
again, those are just a few that come to mind. do your own research and find out what works best for you 😇
Tumblr media
while studying
knowing how to study effectively is also a crucial aspect of success (obviously) 🤭
here are a few tips:
don't listen to music with lyrics, instead you can listen to lofi tracks, cafe/library asmr, brown noise, jazz music (my favourite)
set yourself a study slot, like 2 hours every day at a specific time & set a focus filter on your phone for the duration of your study time
make an aesthetic/cute study space so you can enjoy your time in that space and it doesn't feel like a chore
get a whiteboard to make learning more interactive & fun
light a specific candle whenever you're studying so your brain knows to associate the scent with working
have regular breaks eg. every half hour for 5-10 mins
reward yourself afterwards, so you associate studying with a good experience
Tumblr media
consistency is key, the more you study the easier & more fun it becomes 🙃 the more you study the more you are likely to succeed and fulfil your dreams ✨
remember though, academics is not everyone's thing:
"you cannot judge a fish by its ability to climb a tree"
everyone is good at something, and it doesn't make anyone lesser or greater 🫶
if you try your best, that is all that matters 🫠

I know that tumblr feels a bit of superiority over tiktok, twitter, instagram and like they Should, holding on to a dash that is directly designed by you and your fellow bloggers gets infinitely more valuable by the day and we should be proud of keeping that (cause it Is something that needs to be fought for constantly!) but can I say I don't like the attitude that everyone else on every other app is dumb and they're all normies and we're the smart ones.
Like there are people who enjoy making video content! And they should have a place where they are safely able to do that. People should be able to discuss topics that are close to them like grief, sex, gender, they should be able to review scary movies and silly horror without any of that being watered down so that the app can still sell itself to advertisers. Musicians should be able to share their music without two distant corporations making deals that silence them and destroy their income. People should be able to share tiktoks criticising their government without a bill passing instantly to silence them
People should be able to use an app that is extremely beneficial to artists and fans without a megalomaniac buying it and finding ways to paywall every feature of a website that was already functional. Minors should be able to comment on the tv show they're watching without the replies being flooded with a robot sending them pornographic images.
People should be able to use the search function on their app without it being a literal AI chatbot?? They should be able to post art they care about and build an audience without it being scraped for parts. You should be able to just find things you're interested in without the person you want to see having to participate in a tier based subscription service to be able to be seen by you.
The users of these apps aren't 'foolish' because they weren't smart enough to try tumblr. It isn't a win every time they take a hit and their app gets marginally worse. It's sad!!! And it isn't right! Yes maybe they would enjoy it if they just abandoned what they're on and came here but they shouldn't have to! We shouldn't want them to! We should never want anyone to cede any space or resources to the hungry bastards that want to take advantage of people's online communities.
Like I'm not asking every tumblr user to get up in arms and fight for influencers on tiktok, you've got your own battles here and they've got theirs there but just reminding people that if you gloat about someone else's website getting suck-ier you are applauding the person doing that to them

Heya, guys! Just an ask for you guys, especially for Rocky. What do you guys feel about those cyber trucks? To me, I get salty because people drive a frickin TRAPEZOID!! it looks like an oversized microwave with four wheels! Even raccoons are attacking those trucks because they think they are dumpsters. But hey, that’s just me. What do you guys think?
Tumblr media
If only the problem would be ONLY that this truck looks like a trapezoid… Someone once joked it’s Lara Croft in her first game - I had to look that up - but to be very honest, I think she has more polygons than a Cybertruck. And that’s saying something for sure.
Tumblr media
As the Paw Patrol’s pup who’s specialized in medicine, I'd like to say that this truck is literally a menace on wheels for both passengers and pedestrians. Have you seen the crash tests? The truck doesn’t crush when colliding with something! It’s supposed to crush so the force of impact won’t go fully on the passengers inside. Without it, if it hits against something full force at top speed, people’s organs will practically become puree against their ribcage. And if it hits a pedestrian, even at lower speeds, the chances of major injuries is insanely high because it doesn’t have any smooth lines on its frame to soften the impact against the person! Only sharp edges! It’s absolutely deadly!
Tumblr media
It looks like something you'd see in an Atari game, of course there are people who would be a fan of it but that's a very small percentage of a specific public; as Marshall said, the very frame design makes it extremely dangerous; I absolutely DO NOT trust anything that's entirely dependant on a touchscreen to function, once the screen is out, you won't be able to do anything anymore; If you need to look away from the road for more than 5 seconds to do something on that tablet, it should be considered already a failure of programming and danger inducing; a lot of them came out of the factory with already rusty components so THAT SHOULD SAY SOMETHING; oh yeah, you can't even take it to a car wash or it'll come out a huge useless brick on the other side and if you can't wash it, you'd at least want to coat it but guess what, you can't do that either; a bunch of the panels are literally GLUED to the frame...?; every time you go recharge it you need to do it as correctly as possible to not risk the charger getting stuck and eventually breaking it; if you drive in the rain, water will leak in through the edges; you can't even haul stuff or help another car because you'll be risking to snap the back frame - it's not in one piece with the chassis, but connected by a sort of plastic piece to it...???? I swear I've seen Chase's cruiser hold and tow heavier stuff with its winch than what a Cybertruck can ever dream of doing; if anything happens to the back of this truck, you can kiss goodbye to its bed, even though it's not as big as they promised either; they basically made a fool of a lot of people by making them pay a lot more for a "Foundation Series" promising a full self driving feature that, as far as I know as of now, is still not available; the truck just has so many problems someone drove it out of the factory and not even two minutes later it bricked completely and has been at a repair shop ever since; the list goes on and on...
Tumblr media
Some Tesla vehicles at least look good and have decent features, though they also have a lot more problems than they should, which could have been solved already by now, but they don't even try, all because the company owner is just... A bad person, let's put it like that. He's got a temper worse than Sweetie's, he thinks he's above everyone else and won't ever take a "no" or "don't". I've heard a lot of other EV companies are making better AND affordable EVs literally by looking at what's wrong with Tesla cars to not repeat the same errors on theirs.

Oh, and one last thing! This guy also went against regulation laws against hate speech in our Mod's country, which resulted on his social media website and app getting banned there. Not satisfied with that, he double-crossed the ban to make it available there again although totally illegally, by using the same IP servers that hospitals, public services and even the very Brazilian government websites use, so... Triple crime? Not gonna lie, it's funny to follow how it's going down there.

whenever you see a bad feature added to an app/website, here is what you need to know if you are not a dev: there are various methodologies for managing software development, but generally speaking almost all of them that are used in that kind of product, for anything that isn't a 3-person startup, will have at least two sides.
you've got what I will broadly call the 'business side,' all of the marketing/sales/analysis/management types. typically, all of the high-level decisions about what should go into the app and what work should be prioritized come from this side. and then you've got the developers, who actually implement it. there will almost always be some fuzzy areas in the middle where devs can suggest/prioritize work or business people can maintain parts of it, but that's very often the high-level arrangement
this means that at every single place I have worked, at any given time, about half of the devs are going "this thing they have us working on right now is some stupid fucking bullshit, and I look forward to seeing it crash and burn so I can say 'I told you so.'" I have spent months working on new features while telling the business side that nobody was going to use it. a few weeks ago, while drinking with coworkers, I threatened to bite a project management type if he made us implement certain functionality. I've seen devs essentially perform work stoppages to protest bad feature requests getting prioritized. see also my recent-ish post about my old job.
so yeah I'd be surprised if there isn't a Tumblr dev who was elated at the chance to delete all the Live stuff
