idk if this is a hot take but. i do not like midnighter (and or apollo) shipped with dick (or jason for that matter). like i beg of you please please please look into their past characters and you'll know how ride or die i only have eyes for you grossly in love codependent walking the tightrope on unhealthy that midnighter and apollo is. also that flirting only resulted from bad writing in comics which discredited m greatly, apollo somehow even moreso.

they are so much more interesting in my opinion as the not part of any families yet uncle figures who have neat ways of looking out for them and making them confront the emotions they compartmentalize away. they would also support murder plots like for joker because hey, killing someone who traumatized you can be healing.

Michael Cimino as Apollo and Mason Gooding as Midnighter for The Authority

Okay full disclosure I don't know much about Apollo and Midnighter I know enough to know they're iconic boyfriends, but that's all I got 😭😭😭 that being said I do adore this fancast it's a great idea

I know enough to know these two are good actors and I do think they'd have real good romantic chemistry together as well, so I think you did a really good job picking these two, I'd def love to see this in live action 😍

i don't know how to explain it but midpollo reminds me of timkon more than superbat.

some bits of their origins and some personality stuff and generally how a lot of the time purely fanon batfam mishandles anytime they (midpollo and timkon) are ever mentioned/shown in batfam.

which.. there has been multiple times i've read a fic for a midpollo in context of batfam where apollo is just mentioned. and that happens a lot to kon too so :(

well midpollo has also been handled badly sometimes by canon comics but. my point still stands. this might just be me who thinks all this but? bwah i'm putting it out there.
