I feel sooo lucky to own a copy of Iridessa and the Secret of the Never Mine. It’s the most rare disney fairies book as it was only ever published in Japan and Australia. This is a real shame, it’s a great story and the art is beautiful. The author, Nnedi Okorafor, said on twitter that one of her goals with this book was to have a scene where two characters of colour had a conversation and to have it illustrated. It’s upsetting that this valuable representation wasn’t widely distributed.
