Bridge over troubled water is a great album about an artist’s relationship with their art (and with Art Garfunkel) and like each song fits in perfectly with it so even though I think Cuba Sí Nixon No is a fun song and I wish I could listen to it on streaming services, I think the song would be crazy out of place and would be terrible as the last song

How I Avoid Frustration When Tackling a Difficult Problem
Hi, my name is Andie and my goal is to help average students get into their dream colleges by becoming excellent test takers.
Learning something new can be difficult. I have found myself getting frustrated when I'm not learning it as fast as I want to or when I'm pressed for time and I don't manage to understand a concept on the first read through. In times like these, how I avoid frustration is by:
Stepping away from the problem. Taking a much needed step back can allow you time to process and reflect on the question and the methods you've been using to solve it. Sometimes, I'm able to return to the question later with a new idea on how to solve it or a different perspective on where I might have been going wrong.
Finding help. Going to your teacher or a tutor has been one of the most helpful things I've done. For so long, I was so scared of being seen as dumb that I avoided asking for help, even if I really needed it. But, I've learned that it's okay to ask for help!
Checking the steps I've already done. Sometimes the issue with your problem isn't what you think it is. There have been times when the reason I'm not able to move past a certain point in my problem is because there is an error with the work I've already done. Simply checking your work can help a ton!
Looking for a step-by-step tutorial for a similar problem. This has saved me so much time! Bonus points if the person explaining it doesn't assume you know everything (even if you "should") and takes the time to explain foundational concepts that are super important to be able to solve the problem.
These are just a few strategies that I have found helpful for me when I'm trying to tackle something difficult while preparing for an exam. If you’re using this to help figure out how you can prepare for your upcoming exam, I hope you found value in this article. If you did, please like it and share with a friend! And, I would love to hear what topics you would like for me to cover next!
Until Next Time,
Andie

Alice Lovelace's AP Literature Cram Session
If you're either refreshing for an exam or just want a summary, you're in the right place.
Their Eyes Were Watching God by Zora Neale Hurston
Welcome to the first edition of I DIDN"T KNOW THIS WOULD BE ON THE EXAM, AND SHIT! IT"S A BETTER OPTION THAN THE BOOKS I HAD TO READ FOR CLASS.
Their Eyes Were Watching God is the journey of Janie Crawford, an African American woman finding her way through life.
couple of notes before I start:
This book is written in phonetic english, and there is a huge important to dialect
Centered around an African American Woman in the south, and there are some sad but true instances of racism towards the end.
Around 200 pages, so If you have time to read it, I truely recommend it. There are some beautiful gems in here, along with the name for the title.
READ IT IF YOU CAN!! If not, here you go.
CHARACTERS:
Jaine: The protagonist who is an idealistic dreamer and spends the story chasing love and finding it. When she is faced with hardship, she stands strong until someone opens a new door. She ultimately has to learn to let go, but does not forget her lover.
Grandmother: Jaime’s grandmother who raised her, and wants the best for her, in her own way. She marries her off in an attempt to protect her.
Logan: Jaime’s first husband who doesn't love her, but attempts to take care of her, until she has had enough and runs away.
Jody Starks: Jaime’s second husband, who provides her with an escape and the illusion of love. Their relationship technically lasts until he dies.
Tea Cake: Jaime’s third husband, and true lover. He dies in an act of love for her and she ultimately has to return the favor.
SYNOPSIS:
It begins with a woman returning to her home after being gone for many years. She returns to the whispers and gossip of her town, but only sets the record straight when her friend comes to visit her, and so she begins her narrative. She starts at the very beginning with the fact that she was raised by her grandmother, not her mother. Her grandmother, who is unwilling to let Jaine live like either her mother or herself, decides that Jaime is old enough and marries her off to an older farmer. Jaine, however, is a dreamer and wants love for herself. So, when a younger man shows up on her doorstep, after fighting with her current husband, doesn’t hesitate to run off and marry the younger man, Jody. At first, everything seems to be going well for Jaine and Jody, who treats her like royalty, with him becoming mayor of a town and her clerking a shop. It soon becomes clear that he is isolating her, however, and when she tries to fight him on it, she gets shut down by her husband; this is described by Jaine as another dream dying. So, Jaine suffers in silence alone, until her husband begins to waste away, and after an argument, he dies escorted out by death and her words. After about nine months she is being courted by a younger man named Tea Cake, whom she has gone and truly fallen in love with. He becomes her dream, so she marries him and follows him down into the everglades. For a while it is truly bliss between the couple. He is a good and loving husband to her, who finally treats her well. They live well for a while, then the young couple get news of a hurricane. They decide not to leave their home, but once the hurricane strikes, they run east. Once they run, Jaine and Tea Cake get swept up in the storm, and when they are hanging on for dear life, a dog gets stuck with them, which attacks Jaine before Tea Cake rescues her and gets bitten on the face by the dog. Nothing much happens for a bit, until one day Tea Cake gets a bad headache and when he goes to drink water, he finds he can’t. After trying a couple more times, Jaine goes to fetch a doctor, who quietly tells her that it's too late for Tea Cake, that it was rabies and if they had caught it earlier it wouldn’t have been a problem. Jaine decides to stick it out with her husband and decides not to take him to a hospital and the doctor sends for some medicine which should arrive the next day. She finds a 6-chamber pistol that she decides to remove 3 bullets from, just in case. So she goes to bed and wakes to find him freaking out about her leaving and pulls out the gun, and pulls the trigger twice before she shoots him, killing him. The doctor finds her there holding the body of the man she loved. However, she is arrested and charged for murder but is acquitted. So, she returns home alone, and after telling all this to her friend, goes to sleep.
Themes (That You Won't Find on SparkNotes) :
Memories and Maturity: throughout the story, there are many instances of Jaine being presented with the same choice more than once. She does not make the same choice when presented with the same options. Instead having grown and changed, maturing in her choices.
“What  wouldn’t’ I given to be twelve years younger so i could b’lieve him” “Ah done lived grandma’s way, now Ah means to live mine.”
The influence of Dreams:
Jaine spends the entire story dreaming, from one thing to another. She dreams of love, and chases those throughout the story, leading her from one choice to the next, marking the passage of time. The stages of her life are marked by her dreams, and somewhere along the way, she learns to let each of them go. Which shows a beautiful growth of character, and a sense of personal peace she doesn’t get til the end of the narrative.
" Janie's first dream was dead, so she became a woman" "one way or another that took the bloom off things"

7 Facts About The AP Exams [Infographic]
The Advanced Placement (AP) exams are standardized exams taken by high school students in the United States to demonstrate their mastery of college-level material. The AP exams are around the corner, and knowing what to expect is essential. Here are seven critical facts about the AP exams that every student should know.
Fact 1: Exam Dates and Times
The AP exam dates are consistent across the United States, although exam times may vary depending on time zones. Students should confirm their test date and time with their AP coordinator.
Fact 2: Exam Format
The AP exams will be offered in paper and digital formats. The paper exams will be administered in person at the student's school or designated testing center. The digital exams will be taken at home or school using a computer or tablet. The format options will vary depending on the subject, and students should confirm the exam format with their school's AP coordinator.
Fact 3: Exam Content
The AP exams will cover the same material as in previous years. Each exam will have a specific content outline; students should review the material in advance to ensure they are prepared. The College Board provides exam content outlines and additional study resources on its website.
Fact 4: Scoring
The AP exams will be scored on a scale of 1-5, with 5 being the highest. The scoring process is standardized and takes several weeks to complete. Students will receive their scores in July, and they can access them online through their College Board account.
Fact 5: Exam Fees
The AP exams cost $95 per exam, and some schools may offer financial assistance to qualifying students. Students should check with their school's AP coordinator for more information.
Fact 6: Exam Registration
Students must register for exams through their school's AP coordinator, who will provide further instructions and deadlines.
Fact 7: Test Center Policies
The AP exams will comply with local health and safety guidelines. Students should check with their school's AP coordinator for information on test center policies, including mask requirements and social distancing guidelines.
Conclusion
The AP exams are an essential part of the college application process for many high school students. It's crucial to be aware of the exam dates, formats, content, scoring, fees, registration, and test center policies to prepare adequately. These seven facts make students feel confident and prepared for the AP exams.

This is the teacher that kids either love or hate, there’s no in between. Mr. Styles has his quirks, and according to your niece, you either get him or you don’t. The annoying thing is, Mr. Styles teaches all of the science electives like astronomy, astrophysics, forensic science, marine science, zoology, and meteorology. These aren’t required courses, but they’re only a semester long. After completing biology, students can either take a full year of chemistry and a full year of physics, or they can do a full year of chemistry or physics, and two science electives. Or they can do four science electives.
Mr. Styles also is the only AP Chemistry and AP Physics teacher. There’s really no avoiding him. Some students accept this, and others continue to live in denial.
Many students know their strengths and passions. They were made to be scientists. Your niece, who loves science, is taking as many courses as possible to help herself out for college later on. She’s in AP Chemistry with Mr. Styles, as well as forensic science. Your niece loved Mr. Styles until he gave her an F for missing an exam. She had been out sick. She had a note from her doctor and everything! Your niece blubbered to you about it.
You know Mr. Styles. You work at the same school as Mr. Styles. You’re the music teacher. You typically avoid Mr. Styles. You’re in a completely different area of the school. Many students complain about him, but just as many praise him. But this time it’s personal. He made your niece cry, at school! You told her she could stay in your office for a bit to calm down. You were marching your way to Mr. Styles’ classroom. You didn’t care if he was teaching. You were going to barge in.
When you get to his door, you see him sitting at his desk through the little window. It’s a prep period. When you giggle the handle of the door, it doesn’t turn. So, you pound on the door with your fist while Mr. Styles takes his sweet time coming to open it.
“Miss-“
“Don’t even address me right now, I’m too mad.”
“I don’t think I know you well enough for you to be venting to me about something.” He says as he closes the door. “But I guess I can listen since I have time.”
“I’m here because you’re being an asshole to my niece. She missed school because she was sick and you wouldn’t let her makeup a test. That’s against school policy.”
“Not with AP courses.” He crosses his arms over his chest. You can’t help but feel frazzled at his attire. The dichotomy of him wearing a Disney shirt about love while he’s scowling is is almost comical. “If a student is sick on the day of the exam, then that’s it. They fail. They don’t get to try again.”
“How is she going to get into a good school if she has an F on her transcript?!”
“She’s not going to fail the class. She knew I had a strict policy. Also, I put out exam dates well in advance. She knew what day it was going to be.”
“She was sick!”
“Was she vomiting uncontrollably? Was she coughing up blood? Was she bed ridden? If the answer is no to any of those, then she could have come in to take the exam.”
“Right, so then she could get all of the other kids sick?”
“Masks are a thing. Plenty of students still wear them in the classroom. She could have come in for the exam and then left afterwards. Why do you care so much? You’re not her legal guardian. Her parents haven’t emailed or called to complain. At the mandatory parents meeting I run at the beginning of the school, I make it clear to the parents that I am strict for a reason.”
“My sister and brother-in-law haven’t called to complain because they don’t know about any of this. She came crying to me because she has no idea how to tell them because she knows she’s going to be asked if she knew it was an exam day. Which she completely forgot because she was sick and her brain was foggy.”
“She’ll have opportunities to make up her grade. Her participation counts for a lot and she’s always participating.”
“You don’t understand mental instability these overachievers have. I’ve seen that girl cry over an A-. Shooting her in the stomach would hurt less than getting a bad grade. Do you get off on being a dick?”
“You know what? This is my prep period, and I was busy.”
“Yeah, your door was locked.” You scoff.
“I always lock it. I don’t like when people filter in and out during my prep.”
“What if a student had an emergency and needed you?! Why are you even a teacher if you don’t care about students?! Do you have any idea how hard these kids have it? They don’t even teach them how to use computers anymore! No one knows how to touch type! Everyone assumes they have it easy, but they don’t. A lot of kids come to school because it’s better than being at home. You making it worse for them is a real turn off. I know you have students that adore you, but you also have students that would love the opportunity to spit in your food.”
“Are you done?”
“That depends, do you understand the points I’ve made?”
“Yes. You were very clear.”
“Are you going to take what I said into consideration as you’re teaching?”
“No.”
“You’re a fucking prick.”
“And you’re…” His eyes go up and down, checking her out. “It’s a good thing your room is on the other side of the school.” He shakes his head.
“Why? Afraid I’ll spit in your food?”
“No, in fact, I’d welcome your spit. I’d like it preferably in my mouth, but beggars can’t be choosers.” He shrugs and sits down at his desk.
Your mouth is agape. Did he really just say that to you?
“Are you serious?”
“Very.” He stands back up and saunters over to her. “If you’d like to cuss me out some more, could we do it over dinner?”
“I…”
“You never gave me a chance to take you out a few years ago. Remember that night we were both at that bar?”
“I do.” You nod as you blush. “But that was a mistake. I had a boyfriend…”
“Do you still?”
“No.”
“Alright, well, I would love to be in your presence again while you’re all fired up. Are you free Saturday night?”
“Pick me up at seven.”
“I’ll make a reservation somewhere I know we’ll be secluded so you can yell at me some more.”
“Stop talking before I change my mind.” You say and storm out of his classroom.
While you were teaching your sixth period choral class, Harry was teaching his forensic science class. Your niece got there a few minutes early to talk to Mr. Styles as he stood outside the class to greet the other students coming in.
“So…did it work?” She asked quietly.
“Like a charm.”
“She said yes?!”
“Mhm.” He grinned. “You must have put on quite the performance. She was really angry.”
“If you thought that made her angry, wait until she inevitably finds out that we worked together to trick her.”
“I’m looking forward to it.”

Tumblr media Tumblr media Tumblr media
First of all, i wanna say im so insanely thankful for 600 followers!!! It means the world to me that my writing is so well received. I've seen a bunch of people do events for follower milestones, and when I hit 500 I figured I'd use the time between 500 and 600 to finish the requests that I've been slacking on. I'd also like to apologize for that. But back to the actual event- I've seen people post prompt lists and let people pick characters to go with said prompts, so I want mine to be based on kisses!! Kisses are so sweet and intimate to me, so I've thought up a bunch of action and dialogue prompts for you guys to choose from! Next to each prompt is a number in brackets, that's the max amount of characters I can do for each one . (If someone has done this, please let me know!! I don't want anyone to think I'm copying them.)
Some rules and guidelines before we start;
♡ Up to two characters per request!
♡ I don't think it'd be a problem, but you're allowed to send up to three requests for this event - I'll put it in good faith and won't take off anon, so please try to keep it there!! I don't think it'll be an issue though.
♡ please forgive me if it takes me a while, mid-may things should be easier to write since I won't be prepping for an AP exam any longer, but if I take a hot second, that's why ^^
♡ Anyone can request!! Follower or not.
Acceptable Characters (In order of my confidence in writing for them); Fyodor Dostoevsky, Nikolai Gogol, Chuuya Nakahara, Dazai Osamu, Sigma, Atsushi Nakajima, Akutagawa Ryuunosuke, Doppo Kunikida, Ranpo Edogawa, Tachihara
Request Details; You can mix prompts, up to two per request, but an extra prompt takes the place of the second character you're allowed per req!! If you'd like me to include certain details in the drabble, you're more than welcome to add those to your req! Depending on the prompt it might be a scenario or a drabble.
˚₊· ͟͟͞͞➳❥ Promts

How I Avoid Embarrassment When Asking Basic Questions
Hi, my name is Andie and my goal is to help average students get into their dream colleges by becoming excellent test takers.
Asking questions people believe (or assume) you should already know the answer to can be stressful and lead to embarrassment. When I was taking AP US History, I had a friend who constantly asked really basic questions frequently. Whenever her hand would go up, groans would sound around the classroom. I hated that for her, and started telling her to just ask me first and if I couldn't answer it then ask the teacher. And she thanked me, but declined. She was super confident and didn't care if anyone else was annoyed at her for seeking clarification.
There have been many times when I didn't ask a question I really needed to understand the answer to because I couldn't get over the embarrassment of asking such a "simple" question. Thinking back to this class and her confidence sometimes gave me the push I needed to just do it. But, that spark of confidence was fleeting and unsustainable. So, if anyone else is struggling with asking these types of questions, I would like to offer some tips on what has worked for me:
Find someone you trust to ask. I lucked out when taking calculus that I had a TA who was kind and non-judgemental. There were times I would show up to office hours and would struggle through elementary concepts. Fortunately, he was willing to break everything down even if the concept was simple and something I should remember learning a long time ago. Finding someone, be it another student or a teacher for a different class, that you know will be kind and explain whatever you're struggling with non-judgmentally can be really helpful when trying to push past the embarrassment of not knowing something and asking for help.
Google it. While I don't recommend becoming too reliant on tools such as WolframAlpha, Symbolab, etc. sometimes you may need to search their sites (and potentially sign up for a free trial) in order to see the problem broken down step-by-step. This way you're "asking" your question and not having to worry about what people will think of you because of it.
Send an email. Somethings are easier to ask via email.
If you're in class or choosing to ask questions face-to-face and the person you're asking says something along the lines of "you should already know this", keep this in mind:
It's important to remember that it's okay not to know everything, and it's better to ask for help than to pretend that you know something you don't. By letting them know that you don't know the answer and asking for help, you show that you are trying to learn.
Some responses you can consider to "you should already know this" are:
"I'm sorry, but I don't actually know the answer. Could you explain it to me?"
"I understand that I probably should know the answer, but I don't. Could you help me out?"
"I know I'm supposed to know this, but I'm not sure what the answer is. Could you help me?"
Don't be discouraged if you're preparing for an exam and you come across information you don't know or problems you don't know how to solve. My goal is to help you learn some strategies for improvement so you can master the content and get an excellent exam score! If you’re using this to help figure out how you can prepare for your upcoming exam, I hope you found value in this article. If you did, please like it and share with a friend! And, I would love to hear what topics you would like for me to cover next!
You've Got This,
Andie

Captain’s keeper | Nico Hischier
Tumblr media
Summary: Nico surprises his girlfriend at her work much to her and her students’ excitement.
Warnings : I didn’t proof read this and I wrote it fast. Also no use of Y/N instead I use the name Baylee.
Notes : I don’t know how Nico or the devils act irl but this is how I imagine him. Also I know the devils didn’t play tonight ,but let’s say they did.
Tumblr media
February 29th, the day that only happens every four years. It also just so happened to be the birthday of Nico Hischier’s lover. Baylee was turning 24 ,well technically 6, but that’s all a technicality. Unfortunately, she still had to teach, and Nico had a game, so the two couldn’t spend a lot of the day together. Nico tried to convince her to take the day off , but she insisted she had to be there for her speech and debate team who had a competition coming up. So, this forced Nico to get a little creative.
The morning started pretty early as normal, with Nico getting ready for practice, and Baylee doing her morning grading, since she refuses to spend her nights grading ,cause that time was reserved for Nico. But this morning, instead of Baylee waking up while Nico was in the shower, she was surprisingly woken up with her handsome boyfriend making breakfast.
“Good morning schatz.” Baylee hugs her boyfriend from behind. She is obviously much shorter than he is, so she has to wiggle her head under his arm to see what he was making. The girl can’t help , but smile like the Cheshire Cat when she sees that Nico had made two instagram worthy, smoothie bowls. Baylee was never a fan of traditional breakfast food like eggs, pancakes, or waffles ,so to see her lover put the extra time and effort into to her breakfast melts her heart. “Happy birthday my love.”
“Awe Neeks, it’s perfect.” Their eyes meet for the first time this morning, and they share a smile, before sharing a quick kiss. Baylee lets go of her hold on Nico, so the two can enjoy their breakfast.
“So, birthday girl, what do you have planned for today?” Nico asks with genuine curiosity.
“Well the first 5 periods are my ap Euro classes , so I was just planning on giving them a free day to catch up on work, and study for the ap exams.” It was only her second year teaching, and the school had already trusted her to teach an ap (advanced placement) class. This was mainly because the past teacher had retired, and she was the only person who was willing to take on this responsibility. “And then a few of the other teachers had planned a mini birthday party during 6th period cause that’s my lunch time. Nothing big. Then of course 7th period, I have to work with the debaters to add the finishing touches to their debates. They are so close to getting it, but they just barely miss the mark.”
“Well, good thing for them. They have the best coach money can buy.” Baylee rolls her eyes and chuckles. It was only her first year as the debate team coach, but the team had already won a few awards at local tournaments. But, in Baylee’s opinion she had nothing to do with the team’s success. It was purely her team’s natural talent.
“Neeks, I love the support, but I am few years out from being the best.”
The two continue to have a conversation as they eat their breakfast as a normal couple does. But sadly they both have to get ready for their day and go to work. Normally they carpool to work, with Nico dropping her off and picking her up, but on game days and during roadies, Nico gets a ride with Jack. They both adore their morning rides together, soft music playing and the loving embrace of the lover before dealing with the reality of work. Sadly, today was not one of those days.
Baylee leaves before Jack gets there (much to Jack’s disapproval) so she can work on some class prep for next week. This way she has more time to spend with Nico on Saturday.

During the school day, Baylee’s students and staff had showered her with love and gifts. They all tried to make this day very special for her. Baylee was over the moon to spend her birthday with her students, she just wishes Nico could be here too.
“Okay students settle down. Nicole please sit down. You can talk to your friends in one moment, if you give me just three minutes of your time.” Luckily, the teenager doesn’t give Baylee any hassle ,and she goes straight to her seat. The best part about being an ap teacher is that the students are more well behaved than normal teenagers. Don’t get me wrong they have their day too, they are still teenagers, but not nearly as bad as normal classes. “For my birthday I decided to give you guys a present, for today and tomorrow, you guys get to have a free day. I do encourage you to study for test next week, I am allowing you guys to do what you like. As long as it’s safe ,not too loud, and you don’t leave the classroom. One last thing, all late penalties have been suspended for the next two days, this means you guys can turn in any late work without a late penalty until the end of the day tomorrow.”
The classroom fills with excitement, which Baylee has to gesture for every one to settle down. This was her last class of the day before her break period and then it was time for debate. Luckily, Baylee only had a few more lesson plans and then she would have a whole weekend of free time to spend with Nico.

Little did she know, Nico was able to convince the team to end practice early and so he could surprise Baylee at work. Not only was he able to end practice early, he also was able to drag along a few of the guys to help surprise his girl.
Nico along with Jack, Luke, Jasper, and Dawson, got into the school with the help of Baylee’s coworkers. The boys had brought a raspberry cheesecake from her favorite cafe, which Luke almost dropped walking up the stairs.
Meanwhile, Baylee was talking to one of her speech and debate students the just so happened to also be in her 5th period class.
“You see that line you wrote right there? I really like how you wrote it down, but your delivery sounds fake,” She was currently coaching over the speech the student had wrote for the next tournament, “You can say the most ridiculous thing in the world with a mountain of confidence, and you would sound more believable than if you said something intelligent with 0 confidence.”
“Thanks Miss. Buck that helps a lot.” The student grabs her things with a smile and head back to her seat. Suddenly there is a knock at the door.
“Micheal can you grab that bud?” The student closest to the door, stands up and opens the door. Just as luck has it, Micheal was on the school’s varsity hockey team and was a huge devils fan. So imagine the boy’s surprise when he sees not one, not two, but five players from his favorite team.
Baylee’s heart drops when she hears Micheal shout “Oh my god, no way.”
With fear and curiosity for her student, she rushes to the door ready to protect the child, but what she was greeted with was no threat. It was her loving boyfriend and his teammates. This also makes Micheal’s reaction make more sense.
“Neeks what are you doing here?!” She pulls her boyfriend into a hug, but not without hearing Luke’s audible scoff.
“What are we? Chopped liver?” Baylee laughs off his sassiness and gives each one of the guys their own hugs. She invites the guys to come into her classroom, which of course causes chaos to consume the teens. Teenage girls giggling about how hot the hockey players were, and other students who were starstruck by the players.
Luke places the cheesecake on her desk where he sees a picture of Baylee and Nico after a game with Jack and him photo bombing in the back.
“I can’t believe you are here!” Baylee pulls Nico into another hug , just to make sure he was really there, and not a figure of her imagination.
“Of course, I have to make sure my girl is having an amazing birthday.”
“You mean our girl.” Jack says while peaking his head out from behind Nico.
“Yeah our girl.” Dawson adds with a teasing smirk.
“Next time you two wait in the car.”
“Miss Buck?” Baylee’s attention is moved to her student. “I hate to interrupt ,but can you help me direct me to the pages in the text book where we will be going over for next week’s test.”
She quickly excuses herself before helping her students quickly before going back to the hockey players. During the 10 minutes she was gone, some of the students had the players hockey related questions.
Nico watches Baylee and basically gawks at her as she teachers with such care and devotion. Of course this doesn’t go unnoticed by the guys, but they decide to chirp their captain later rather than doing it around a bunch of teens.
Suddenly, three students come up to Nico with very serious expressions.
“So Mr Hischier, what are your intentions with our teacher?” Nico is taken back by the teens’ abrupt tone. But his teammates all start laughing to themselves. “Miss. Buck is one of the realest of Jersey and yet you haven’t put a ring on that finger? Ain’t no way.”
“Damn cap, even the kids are wondering.” The team has always chirped Nico for waiting so long to propose to Baylee.
“Miss Baylee deserves, the biggest most beautiful wedding in the world and yet here she is weddingless.” The teenage girl at the end of the group points at Baylee who is distracted helping another student. “Tell me that she wouldn’t absolutely slay in a white wedding dress..”
Despite not fully understanding the students “hip lingo” ,Nico looks at Baylee and all he sees is her in a floor length dress, nothing too fancy since Baylee wasn’t a flashy girl, with her hair all done and her looking absolutely breathtaking. (An image he has thought of way too often) And he can’t help, but fall in love again.
“Jessie, Tony, and Angela leave Nico alone. You look like you broke the poor boy.” Baylee’s voice broke him from his gaze.
“We’re just standing on business Miss B.” The three kids take their seats.
“Don’t mind them babe, those are some of my debate students, I told them I wanted them to be more intimidating in their speech and clearly that worked too well.” Baylee guides the five men back out to the hallway , so they can have more privacy. “Thank you guys so much.”
“Anything for our captain’s keeper.” Nico groans in annoyance at his teammates nickname for Baylee. The other four guys bid their goodbyes to Baylee before leaving the lovers alone for a second.
“I know it wasn’t much Schatz, but given the circumstances, I hope you enjoyed your surprise.”
“Oh I definitely enjoyed it.” Baylee gives Nico a small kiss while still staying work appropriate since anyone can see her in the hallway. “I mean not as much as Micheal did, you guys totally made his day.”
The two laugh share a laugh for a second. When their laughter died down, their eyes locked again.
“I’ll see you after the game tonight okay Schatz?”
“Of course captain, I wouldn’t miss it for the world.” The two share one more kiss before she sends Nico away knowing that the bells is about the ring and that will cause the hallways to fill with students.
When she renters her classroom, her students all look at her blushing face. The students can’t help, but feel happy seeing the teacher that brings them so much joy, be so happy.
