Howdy everyone!! I got super inspired by @a-scary-lack-of-common-sense class swap au and wanted to try my hand at it!

I really love these designs!! If people like them too I’ll make some full refs and make some more content with them. I probably will anyway because I have so many ideas.

Under the keep reading I added wayyy too much description if you’re interested. You are interested you will read I’m using my evil mind magic to make you want to read

(I’ll address them by their names to make it less confusing btw. Pyro and Spy are called Demonan and Soldier though. I’ll name them one day probably)

For Medic and Heavy I kinda swapped their backstories and personalities. Misha is an only child who comes from a family of, fucked up to say the least, doctors. He lost his medical license for stealing the entirety of a patient’s skin. Misha is much more of a hardass with a superiority complex. Cold and callous. He takes himself and his work very seriously,, thinks he is very scary. The other mercs don’t really give a shit, which infuriates him to no end. He cares about his teammates! somewhere deep down inside ,, like really far down. Probably. Really attached to his tools, names them like how the original Heavy names his guns. He’s pretty fluent with English.

Ludwig is much more silly and caring. He’s the youngest sibling out of his 3 sisters, and took this job because he feels obligated to pay back his family for protecting him and helping him go through college. He’s not sadistic per se, more just, really loves the blood, guts, and carnage of war, and has a very morbid curiosity. He often accompanies the Medic when he's doing operations, if he's not already the patient himself. Misha adores how fascinated he is by all of it, and gladly answers and questions he may have. Very loud and extroverted,, his laughs can be heard from miles away. He kinda scares the other mercs, but he’s trying his best to tone it down. He has a horde of pigeons that just ,, follow him around. He doesn’t really know where they came from. His favorite is named Euripides. He’s intermediate at English.

For Sniper and Scout I kinda kept their backstories the same, they just had different personalities and life circumstances that led to them taking their respective jobs. Jeremy is the older brother of 7 little sisters. His mother had him when she was 16 and going through college, leading Jeremy to have to grow up fast. He and his mom have always had to pick up odd jobs to help pay the bills. One of Jeremy’s bosses took him out onto a shooting range one day and noticed he was a natural. He encouraged him to take up predator/invasive species control to help pay the bills and helped him get started, Jeremy eventually saved up enough to move to the northwest. As he got more skilled, some shady people took note and offered him some more,,, lucrative opportunities. He’s a hick with a slight Boston accent, making him all the more awkward. Pretty introverted, the only friends he's ever had is his little siblings. He’s quick-witted when he wants to be, but usually stays quiet. He seems pretty cold tough, but will change really quickly around little kids. Drinks way too many energy drinks to compensate for his insomnia.

Mick is an only child and basically the Australian version of Scout. Which is a terrifying concept!! he scares me. He’s a pretty extroverted guy, but was still bullied for his scrawny appearance and a lack of mustache hairs when he was little, so he devoted himself to becoming the best track runner in Australia. Also he couldn’t win a fight against anyone and he tended to piss off a lot of people, so running was a necessity. He doesn’t have any siblings, but he has a lot of older friends who treat him like a little brother. He likes to paint in his free time. Took the job to help support his parents and to explore the world, or just New Mexico. Annoying jock bastard. He wears those tank tops with the holes at the sides that just go all the way down,, not even a shirt at that point. Still throws piss at people because I think its really fucking funny.

Nobody quite knows where Soldier came from, not even herself. All she knows is that she’s a General, and a damn good one at that. Although his team would like to suggest otherwise. She’s loud and erratic, missing quite a few cogs in her brain. Not lead poisoned like the original soldier, I’m leaning towards a lobotomy that really melted his brain, soupe de cerveau or somethinf. Even though she lost her mind, she kept her great commanding skills and leads the team in attacks. He can be found planning and strategizing for the next round, or hanging out with the other team’s Demo. A bit silly, a bit goofy. Comically patriotic like the original Soldier. Parleys-tu Français, DO YOU SPEAK FRRRENCH ??? Non tu ne le fais pas, you don’t? FUCK YOU

Tavish and pyros personalities are a kinda combined? I just took little bits from both of them and squashed them together. Tavish is a pyromaniac hailing from Scotland. There’s rumors that he was the cause of the fire storm that rained down on Scotland for about a week, but he’s never confirmed or denied this. His voice isn’t all that muffled, his Scottish dialect is just so thick that nobody can understand him, except for Ms Pauling and Engineer like usual. Tavish can be pretty unstable and hyperactive, but an overall happy-go-lucky guy. Drinks responsibly most of the time! Still depressed! Lots of Molotov cocktails. His favorite animal is the Pegasus, and his life's goal is to find and tame one some day.

Dell is the same personality wise, just more like spy. So a bit more stuck up lol. He also shares the same care that the original spy shows for his team, as long as it benefits him along the way. Dell comes from a long family line of Spy’s that all worked for the Mann brothers, they stole Australium for them and kept them safe from other entity's that wanted to have control over the Australium too. His goggles have all that super cool spy stuff in them, night vision, cameras, a radio. Jane helped him add some new features as of late, . I'm not sure how to incorporate Dell's fascination with trans-humanism into this Dell quite yet. Maybe something to do with his senses? Name’s Spy. Spy Gaming.

Jane is pretty much the same silly little guy,, but now with 11 phds! And he’s not lead poisoned anymore! Nobody’s quite sure where Jane comes from, every time he’s asked he always changes up his backstory. He tends to slack off more than the original soldier, "A good hard-working American always knows when to take breaks!" He's also built a variety of raccoon-themed machines that get into mischief around the base. He and the Pyro are good buddies! He likes reading their stories, and gently encouraging them to write more. He's pretty strict when it comes to safety, and will come down hard on his teammates for messing around. THAT IS NOT OSHA APPROVED HEAD-WEAR MAGGOT!

Demoman is more like Tavish backstory-wise in this. They’re a midwesterner with way too much free time who blew up their family’s corn field by accident when they were little, oh and their parents. Their bio family crawled out from the remains of the farm and took them in after they proved themselves, even with their lack of tentacles and wings. (yeah their parents are the Great Old Ones, cthulhu guys, for sillies :3 ) They still like to do creative stuff (but adult-ified because adults are insecure about having fun for some reason.) like adult coloring books, or oil painting, or having adult tea parties. Demoland is a book that they're writing, and will TOTALLY 100% work on this weekend. They hate eye contact and have never been seen without their bombsuit on, except for Scout, but he can comprehend these otherworldy horrors perfectly fine so idk maybe you have a skill issue or something.

notes: I was thinking of making Dell Jeremy's father, but I didn't want to change up Jeremy's facial features too much, so Spy remains. Mick has that neck-mic thingy that soap from COD has because I was scrolling through soapghost on pintrest help. Soldier wasn't actually a general, I was thinking he was just somebody who knew too much. But after she got the lobotomy, I'm thinking she did something similar to soldier and tried to get into the military, and failed. Ludwig is the biggest on the team, with Misha having a more agile body type. Still a bear!! Just a bit smaller. This art is a bit old because I've been working on this since MAY?!?!??? ough. Maybe I'll swap some side characters as well! Pauling with Bidwell, Saxton with Helen, if ya want you could give me some suggestions 👁 👁 This is all Merasmus's fault some how, babygirl messes up the timeline for the sillies, the funny haha even. I love her <3333 Also sorry if the info for Jeremy is incorrect, I just thought it would be neat idk a whole lot about hunting.

firstly omg soooo sorry i took forever posting this i was on finals lockdown </3 and tysm tori for sending me thee ask!! love u sm .. also long post ahead + slight cw mention for drug use

Band name: How did they and the others come up with the band name? Has the name changed since it was founded? okay, so a huge oversight on MY part but when coming up with the name I kind of.. ignored the other band names.. and so my mc's (Parker's!!!) band name is.. soft overkill 😭 u cant make this shit up HDSJKFHSDKSFDHDSF.. i was thinking of changing it but i kind of like the irony and stupidity of it all (considering parker and seven r exes) so .. i think it will be staying! (so for shits n giggles, soft overkill was first and HAS NOT BEEN CHANGED ... FSDHFDSKJHFDSKDSFH they had a "That FROOT looks familiar" moment on twitter for SUREEEE) Favourites: Which song of the band’s is your MC’s favourite? Which is the fan-favourite?

because parker's all artsy-fartsy, I think he'd have a hard time choosing a favorite song -- probably not their earlier work, though, seeing as he's pretty embarrassed by most of it. he's gotten better at songwriting over the years, and some of their earlier work was all over the place (to put it simply FHDSKJFSDHSDFKHD) the fan-favorite would probably be "PUNCH!" (which is more of a love/breakup adjacent song.. man i wonder how this came to be.. idk im trying to think of how this happened. will get back to u shortly?) Persona: How does their day-to-day personality compare to their on-stage persona?

at first, i think parker (and his day-to-day personality) was COMPLETELY separate from his on-stage persona -- he was a lot "nicer" overall, probaaaably a little on the more shy side kinda thing, less short tempered HFDSKFDSHFDSK.. but after a Certain Breakup he kinda spirals (it was kind of already happening anyway .. looool) and his dazzling rockstar tm persona kinda bled together with the real parts of parker -- esp as he started using drugs more recreationally b4 shows and things of that sort, putting walls up n what not for certain things. it sounds cliche but performing, the breakup, and spiral (and .. continued drug use) resulted in a more confident, sarcastic, short-tempered parker.. also a lot more anxious when he comes off the high (of performing -- its also the drugs, though. (also .. hes short-tempered now for certain things, he's not a complete lost cause dfshfdjkhfdskdsfh) and overall def on the more Brooding Music Guy side. the one thing that remains the same is his love of music n the arts -- its why hes really in it, but the fame is also .. nice Stage name: Do they or have they ever had one? How did they choose it?

his stage name is Crash! so on stage, and in the competition, he goes by Crash rather than Parker (but the band still calls him parker .. yk how it goes) fans also call him crash !! he chose it on a whim -- he thought it fit the whole "overkill" idea they have going on. plus, he was a teenager -- he just thought it sounded cool! Change: How has their personality changed since Seven left the band? Are those changes related to Seven leaving? kinda answered this in persona, but his personality changed pretty drastically -- maybe not for the best, but definitely not for the worst. those changes are related to seven leaving, especially bc they were dating -- but it was definitely exacerbated by the idea of his "one and only" (platonic n romantic soulmate.. haha pain) being upset w him (and having been voted off the band) (also parker did NOT vote for seven to leave . he liked singing w him . but what does it matter in the end HFDKSFHFDSKHFD) Bandmates: How do they feel about the members of the band? Would they still be interested in stardom if they weren’t with that group?

parker loves his friends/band members!!!!!! this is such a simple answer but like their dynamic is just the best . and no, i dont think theyd be as interested in stardom if it wasnt w their friends .. lots to think about Tattoo: Did they keep the tattoo with Seven’s initials? Why/why not? What was that decision/execution process like? (Bonus: What do they think of Seven keeping their tattoo?) yes, parker kept the tattoo w seven's initials .. (talk about not getting over your ex loool) it was his first tattoo and it was w a person he loved -- to him, it would've been more painful to remove it or cover it up than to just.. let it exist on his skin. he definitely had a hard time between choosing to keep it or covering it up -- lots of tattoo appointments that just turned into tattoos going elsewhere on his body looool . anyway . at the same time tho its a very painful reminder . it's kinda masochistic in a way -- like a punishment of sorts -- "you let THAT happen" kind of thing .. but it's not always painful .. he does cover it up usually tho, he wants to keep that part of their past as private as it possibly can (which is not much anyway) loooool using lots of looools to make this less sad and awkward. Voice: What does their singing voice sound like? Do you have voiceclaims(s) for them?

i havent really decided on a singing voice yet -- but id think parkers singing would prob be similar to thom yorke's heehehehdj Seven: Do you have headcanons about their friendship and/or romantic relationship (past or future)? What do you imagine some of their best memories are? What do you think some of Seven’s favourite things about your MC were/are? their friendship was definitely ride-or-die, they're all in, it's them against the world -- the same goes for their relationship. i think one of their best memories Then were getting those tattoos together -- but also probably their mutual confession n first kisses .. hehe . i think seven's fav thing about parker was how much he loves music (and anything artistic) -- its literally his lifeline !! i also think their relationship (and friendship b4 that) was very .. tender? like affection came to them v easy, thru small gestures, even if they were awkward abt it .. anyway thats definitely not the case anymore HA

Adam loved complimenting you, not only because it let you know how he thought of you, but also because the golden blush that always crept up your neck so easily until it reached your cheeks looked absolutely gorgeous on you.

When he had first figured out that the winner's blood was golden - a pure and divine color - he had thought of it as useless, unnecessary and a stupid decision made by God, because what was the point of changing somebody’s blood color anyways? But oh how that view on this changed when he met you - the most divine angel to walk heaven’s streets. He had never really put any thought into the fact that a changed blood color would also mean that the blush on the winner's skins would appear gold instead of red-pink ish.

But then he had flirted with you - at first it had been an act of getting your attention with no real meaning behind those words, he had flirted with plenty of people before. Yes, most of them had been women and yes, it was way harder for a dude - especially a dude like Adam - to hit on other men, but you? With you it felt so natural to be flirty.

“Sup Shawty,” he cockily grinned as he wrapped his arm around your shoulder lazily as if it had always meant to be that way, a slight golden blush spread on your cheeks, yet it was so light that the normal eye would have easily missed it if the person would not have been focusing on it.

Adam though, had been focusing on the beautiful blush - he had been for a while now. That was also why he knew that it was so easy to cause that blush to appear because even after years and years of being in a relationship, that was one thing that had never changed. “Shut up,” you mumbled as you turned your face away from the first man, your wing coming up to shield your side in order to block his view.

Adam was very much not having it though.

“No need to hide your handsome face, babes, I know what your ass looks like when it gets all flustered,” the stupidly cocky grin was not leaving his face for even the slightest moment, in fact it only grew as you raised your wing even more and ducked down your head to properly hide behind white feathers.

“Adam,” you hissed in an alarming tone, making it clear that he should better shut his mouth. Not that you were truly minding it, but you knew he was just teasing and you were having none of it, not when you desperately wanted your body to stop doing what it was doing giving Adam the pleasure he was seeking in seeing you blushing.

“Oh c’mon, we both know you like it,” the brunette leaned in as he effortlessly pushed your wing aside so that his lips were brushing against your ear as he continued to speak, “You’re such a handsome fucker, you should not hide behind those stupid feathers.”

The blush that had only been spreading on your cheeks at first was now slowly creeping down your neck, all the way down to the top of your chest, painting you in the most angelic color Adam was ever allowed to lay eyes onto. A golden tan was covering your skin, causing you to look pure - well, purer than you normally looked. “Fucking love it when ya get all flustered over some words,” he hummed in your ear, his voice suddenly sounding deeper than just a moment before - you were done. He had you exactly where he wanted you and he made it obvious that he would not back down, not when the golden flush looked so divine on you.

No, he wanted to keep that look on your skin for as long as possible. The fact that his words made you feel good about yourself was a nice side effect in his eyes.

You forcefully grabbed Adam by his collar, yanking him down further until he was on your eye level as you hissed, “Listen bitch, if you start something, you’ll fucking finish it, got that?” The grin on Adam’s lips remained and it was driving you insane in the best way possible. You were aware that his only goal was to watch you get flustered and blushy, but God knew he also loved to rile you up. A thing you could not deny: you were quite easy to rile up - at least for Adam because somehow that man knew exactly how to push your buttons and get you where he wants you. “Is that supposed to be a threat, hotstuff,” his lips were brushing against yours as he spoke, “Or is it an invitation?”

meeting rin for the first time when you get paired up with him for an assignment; unwillingly at that bcs rin would never expand his social circle outside of the soccer team. such a lukewarm thing to do, or so he said idk lol

imagine like you’d already planned to partner up with your friend and then someone else (spoiler: it’s bachira) butts in, saying he’s gonna be pairing up with your friend instead.

and you end up with rin ☺️ who’s got the iciest gaze ever when he’s walking up to you, making you visibly shrink in your seat jwjdhskkd

bachira would be like “don’t worry, rin chan is not even that bad!!” boi you haven’t started doing anything yet and mans already glaring daggers at you for no apparent reason 😭

ok imagine IMAGINE rin and you working on your assignment in the library hehehehe the hushed whispers, the way his hand brushes against yours from time to time when he’s teaching you things or vice versa, some light banters here and there bcs rin just had to disagree with you most of the time, saying stuff like your ideas are dumb like bro stfu ik i aint a smartass like u 🙄

i can certainly see him as the type who helps you get books from the higher shelves without you asking him to bcs he just knows.

let’s say you’re there scouring your eyes at the shelves, thinking which kind of book fits your understanding better. and then rin would come up behind you, his steps light, chest pressing against your back as his arm reaches for a book. there’s a small empty space on the lower shelf in front of you, and he silently puts the printed work there.

“that’s a good one,” he’d mutter before walking back to the table, not even realizing how red you’ve become from the close proximity, his deep, silky voice and the warmth he emits.

imagine doing your work together and then something came up so he had to go. when you ask him what’s up he’d just answer “i got practice.” like bro ?? 💀💀

for example you’re insecure with your voice so you tend to not repeat yourself when talking, or cover your mouth to stifle your laughter, speak in a low volume or just barely talking in general, rin would be like “use your words, y/n.” stuff like that with a frown on his face like yes sir i Am talking.

rin would lift up his shirt to wipe off his sweat,, unknowingly showcasing his toned abdomen for your eyes to ogle on the world to see and he doesn’t even care if people stare lol that’s just how unbothered he is 🤷‍♀️

obviously the one who confesses is you LMFAO coz like this is itoshi mf rin we’re talking about

he never acts on his feelings because mans in denial THE WHOLE 👏 TIME 👏👏 to hell with butterflies in the stomach or sparks erupting between the two of you. rin is always in denial with his feelings.

he thinks those quote unquote lukewarm feelings are there just because he deems you useful in his life and your presence is tolerable unlike others but jokes on you boy !! you’re in love 🗣🗣

confessing to rin would feel like you’re walking on eggshells bcs the chances of you losing this fragile thing between you and him is very high ykyk so you had to make it kinda nonchalant in a way

you’re telling him that you like him and all, that he doesn’t need to say anything or reciprocate your feelings bcs you’re just letting him know and you wanted to let it off your chest bla bla

at first rin would malfunction. he doesn’t know what to do or say. sure he gets confessions from people left and right almost every single day but this is you.

nonetheless, the bad side of him would win. the bad side that refuses to see the benefits of some things, that it doesn’t want to acknowledge the desire and soft spot he has grown for you. the side that rejects the idea of dating someone. and so he ends up completely turning you down :(

you’re sad of course but you can’t really do anything about it, understandably so because you know how rin is so you opted to just go about your day normally after, albeit trying to steer clear of him so that you could move on.

somehow words got out to your circle of friends and the other boys were dejected that rin rejected you *cries bcs they’re so precious* (karasu and eita lowkey bet on you two as well lmfao)

however it wouldn’t take long for rin to notice that you’re purposely avoiding spending less time with him. he’d more or less figure out why and think that’s for the best.

and yet soon enough rin would take the brunt of your absence. he’d unconsciously start wondering abt you a lot to the point he gets called out by someone during practice bcs he was distracted, pondering your whereabouts whenever he’s in the library, sharp eyes zeroing on you like a hawk when he catches sight of you anywhere, longing for you to be with him. basically you’re in his mind 25/8, living there rent free 🛌

by then it’d finally register in his head how important you are to him and how bad he wants you to be in his life.

expect to see rin at your front door one day, awkwardly and stiffly pouring everything that has been on his mind (cough cough you) <3

as we all know rin is not good with words so he does things for you a lot; buys lunch for you if you’re too busy studying, take notes for you for the lectures that you miss bcs you’re sick, wordlessly takes your bag to carry it eventho you refused but one glare from rin shut u up real quick hahahwjdj, etc etc

could also be a hindrance to your relationship tho bcs the two of you might struggle a bit with communication, some fights are bound to happen so you have to take the initiative to approach him when things get rough. give him space a bit then have a proper talk when the two of you are ready.

other than that maybe quality time as well bcs eventho rin is always busy, he will try his best to make time for you. that alone is proof how dedicated he can be as a significant other. this man aint doin nothin half assed !!

also enjoys quiet moments with you where the two of you are in a room together but yall are doing your own stuff. he loves knowing you’re there with him, for him. just your presence can bring him so much comfort.

cafe dates every week where he buys you your favourite pastries/desserts and drinks nngggkgkfhjgkg atp you never bothered to argue w him abt the bills bcs you know you’d lose anyway but like still.. boi why wont u let me pay for ONCE

not much pda around campus or in public but yall cuddle a lot behind closed doors bcs this man is hella touch starved ong 😤😤 run your hand through his hair and down his back and he’ll be putty in your hands 🤌

always, always sits beside you during your shared classes (would undoubtedly glare at other people when they try to take the seat beside him lol). he loves the way his shoulder brushes against yours and thighs touching each other’s under the table 😣

I have been having a qsmp gem au brainrot but with pissa specifically. I had drawn them since 4 am yesterday and I’m probably going to continue today lol. Will post later if ya want hehe (probably will regardless)

I already have my lapis Philza from my bench gems au. (Phil is such a lapis, you can’t change my mind. Come on flying and terraforming? That’s basically him in a nutshell) I probably should revisit that old au of mine… uhm.

Anyway I made missa a purpurite! But get this I gave him a rejuvenator as his gem weapon! So his homeworld job was to rejuvenate gems from the command of the diamonds. Hes like the reaper of gems hehe. resetting gems is like rebirth, no? I was so fucking normal when I came up with his homeworld purpose you have no idea haha.

I feel like missa wouldn’t like to fight with his scythe, since the consequences are a bigger stake here, he doesn’t like resetting other gems even when they try to hurt him. So he uses the rejuvenator like a staff with its turned off most of the time. And Phil obviously can control water and fight with that.

And the fusion! Omg the fusion! I already have a gemstone in mind, hahahaa still need to draw that hehehehe

Other than what gem they are or what purpose they had while on homeworld and what weapons they possess, I haven’t thought much of the worldbilding aspect.

I don’t really know how the other’s island members come into place, or what job the federation has, or even what the eggs are supposed to be. I’m also mostly a crow so I mainly just watch Phil’s streams so I don’t know the other islanders that well to come up with gem designs right of the batch. Also I started thinking about this yesterday so give me some slack.

Anyway good morning ( actually midday) everybody I’m gonna go eat and then probably continue drawing :D

Been brainrotting abt companion au. So have this scuffed WIP of angelified companion meeting the whb version of my OC Karma meeting. The hoodie is bc. 1 too keep it as ambiguous as possible, since idk canon look. 2. Waiting for more lore/CGs of angelficatin. And 3.im lazy. Anyway hope ur having a good timezone. Been a fan of ur works for a while

Heheheh I always enjoy when people write or make art to me. Makes me feel like I'm a part of a big collaborative project or something.

I don't really have a canon look for the Embittered Companion, it's just whatever you like. A vague blob of clay for people to form into whatever they like or are into. Go wild, do whatever you like with it.

It's getting more and more difficult to be alone. The open spaces of heaven did little to block the bright light that shine upon the clouds you stand on. The beauty of it was lost to you. All you could do was scorn it, glare at it as your hands itched to cup and worship the maker of this light.

You're here, in the middle of who knows where, woken up from another long, long trance towards what was probably a place of prayer. You were commanded to go there, you know this. Because the fear of disobeying was crawling up towards you. A gripping fear, a crawling guilt. It screamed at you to keep going, to bow and accept that your existence was nothing without the orders of the angels on high.

A slight such as this, you would have to maim yourself for forgiveness. Are all angels like this? Do all angels view themselves as nothing more than a fabric made by god, to be torn asunder and rebuild again and again until they're patched together into a perfect quilt? Are they so frustrated with the limitations of their expression of faith that they turn to bodily harm?

Ah. The shattered pieces of your halo twirl and flow. Piece by piece, they're attaching themselves together, and that insidious light, those voices that lay in them, began to fill your ears.

A minute. You were only here for a minute and now you're being dragged under the blinding fold of feathers. You dug your fingers into the stone below, your nails bending then snapping. Pain. Human pain, brought upon yourself not as a display of worship, but by your own fallible human self. And angels hands would not be so delicate. They wouldn't bleed this much.

But, your nails fell and new ones grew in. That part of you wasn't human in the least.

You can't even keep this part of you, huh?

"Don't panic. You're fine."

A command that laced itself through your being was always laced with silver and gold. But, these words weren't a command. They were just a voice, as much as the wind was simply that, the wind.

So of course you looked up, but there nothing in the skies. You searched around you, for the voice that didn't grip your being and forced it to bend to their will.

"Over here." There? "Look up."

On a balcony. Horns on one side of the head, a halo that nearly embraced their whole face, a patchwork of a person covered in crossing stitches.

"...who are you?" You breathed out.
