i love how they made it seem nick was so ostentatiously tall after his growth spurt when they also just said he was 5’6
#it’s actually kinda funny because he DID seem really tall in his own shots (esp compared to being like 4 foot nothing beforehand) but then#when he’s like next to an adult it’s like ohhh yeah he’s still like 14#maybe people are shorter (?) on the east coast but at my socal high school there were actually quite a few 6ft boys when i was in 9th grade#which was very nice to see since im 5’10 and have been for a while and felt like a freak before the boys all got their growth spurts between#middle school and high school#don’t mind me im halfway through the last season right now and trying not to cry because what do you MEAN this is it….what do u mean….sobs#the emotional consequences of watching 8 years worth of show in like 2 weeks#and then he like immediately makes it onto the basketball team because of his height .#nick kroll i can see ur ego shining in that writing room king#nick birch#big mouth#this also made me realize that completely went against this in my fic when i wrote that nick wouldn’t have made the basketball team bc#though he did grow to 5’6 (i got the height right LOL) it wouldn’t have really been enough for the basketball team . well maybe he is just#on the freshman team right now then actually which i suppose would make more sense than making it to the actual team#ok that sounds mean im sorry u didn’t make the basketball team in my fic nick </3 it was not on purpose…
