I'm one of the people who didn't really see jiara in the first two seasons (love the ship, just had a different perception, not claiming I was 100% right) and I still don't get how people can say it's forced in a show where relationships are known to develop fast, and they had some establishing moments at the end of season 2 (the famous surf trip for example), and then had a whole month to reevaluate feelings in an environment that felt very freeing for both of them. Do I believe it might be fanservice? Maybe, I don't like following drama. But like, to argue that it came out of nowhere when they set up a perfectly reasonable development? I swear some people can't say they don't like a ship and move on, they also feel the need to ignore half the canon to justify it

I don't really understand the forced argument either. Forced to me would be changing who the characters fundamentally are to put them into a relationship that doesn't make sense for them. JJ and Kie have always been really compatible even if the show didn't create them with the ship in mind. They make sense together, to deny the chemistry there would be a disservice to the show, and to ignore the way the audience reacted to them would be foolish (some people like to ignore the mass popularity of jiara). And yeah, there is development. There are moments as early as the first episode that can be considered building blocks for jiara (and yes some of them may have been accidental and open to interpretation) to the point where you could now watch the show and see a steady arc.

I don't pay any mind to "jiara is fan service" arguments either because they always hinge on the idea that fan service is inherently bad which it isn't. People can call it forced or fan service or whatever they need to but personally I believe jiara has made the show better because it adds a beautiful complexity to both JJ and Kiara and it is the pairing that serves the characters best.

I'm not a hater (well..sometimes in private lmao) so I'll never understand the compulsion to constantly be commenting on something you don't ship. If I disliked a ship as much as some of these people seem to, I'd have stopped watching the show a long time ago. I wish people would remember that sometimes your hot take disparaging a ship could just stay in the drafts. Why yuck someone else's yum.

I'd love to hear about the different interpretations you had in the first 2 seasons if you wanted to share? My shipper goggles have been securely fastened since season 1 episode 1 so like to hear how other people view certain scenes/moments.

Minecraft Wiki is independent again!!

Yahoo!!! No more FANDOM wiki!!! Find the new minecraft wiki at minecraft.wiki!!

I thought it would be good to make a little PSA post with summarised information on why they moved from FANDOM!

Why did they move?

FANDOM is notoriously a bad wiki for both readers and editors alike. This is due to the insane amount of ads, the site layout, the lag, the fact that FANDOM can just take your wiki from you, etc has made the minecraft wiki decide to move

Because of the lack of agency the minecraft wiki has over its own wiki, they had a long discussion and vote with the community on what wiki platform to move towards. You can view both discussions here and here

By moving to a more independent wiki, they can provide a much better and friendlier service.

What's improved with the new wiki?

New site look, lacking the ugly FANDOM yellow sidebar and removing all other unnecessary bloat! This also includes a dark mode option and other custom settings.

Faster load times! I have incredibly good internet, and even I notice the STARK difference between the load times of FANDOM and the official wiki!

Less ads! At the moment they have no ads, but they do intend to have at least one. The placement of which will be discussed with the community to ensure minimal disruption to the user.

Better search functionality! FANDOM's search is notoriously bad at giving you the answers you need. Now they can have a more robust search function that more accurately brings users to what they are looking for.

No age popups- Unlike FANDOM this wiki does not need to know if you're a child or adult.

Anonymous editing has returned! Users can now once again anonymously contribute to the site!

HOWEVER. THE MINECRAFT WIKI NEEDS YOUR HELP!

FANDOM refuses to close old wiki's that have moved away, and so they will continue to show up in search domains. The old domains such as minecraft.gamepedia.com and minecraftwiki.net are also permanently attached to the FANDOM wiki.

In order to help the new wiki be successful, you can help out in the following way:

Spread the word!

Don't interact with FANDOM links. The less people interact with FANDOM, the more google knows that people are looking for the official wiki and not the FANDOM one!

Dont use the old links, again for the same reason as above!

And of course, improve the wiki :D! Since you don't need an account to make edits, see what you can contribute!

I was listening to the album grow again by Moe Reen while making this. specifically Why Deny (The Climate of Our Love).

You could admit it's all on fire And confess to loving me This world is surely ending soon, Our love is certainly something true So why deny the climate of our love?

Theres so much to say about them. The world is on the precipice of disaster and yet they found each other, the successors to the emperor and empress titans. Did the emperor and empress wonder what their successors would become? did they wonder about who their successors would be? did they hope that they would find the love they had? or did they think the story of the titans ended then?

When Fearne was alone with Nana Morri did she ever dream about the people she has around her now? about sharing a bed, with no other expectations other than waking up together?

When Ashton found themselves left behind after the nobodies left him, did he dream about a group of people who listened to what they said and respected their words? did they ever dream of someone wanting to be with them just because they liked being around him?

when they were at their loneliest, was the thought of each other a fever dream?

I still stand as a firm believer that both Ashton and Fearne have two hands, but watching them grow closer together has been amazing. And I hope their relationship continues to flourish, platonically or romantically.
