Yippee!#My favourite character wont appear in this season but that is okay. I am so fond of them all B*)#It really is a very special and dear story that I am happy to see get more love and exposure.#Not sure what the overlap is for mdzs and dungeon meshi but I must do my dues to spread the word.#I'll work on figuring out how to draw these silly adventurers better and return with more art at the end of the season.

i like to think once yosuke gets over the whole undead roommate thing he starts to feel bad for leaving yu at home all day. (like a pet dog.....) so at some point he invites chie and yukiko over. maybe it’s a study session. but at first yukiko can’t make it so it’s just chie. yosuke tells yu to stay put in the room since chie is scared of ghosts (just like yosuke she’ll never admit it though lol). chie says that she and yukiko have been working on a new recipe and offers to cook which yosuke shoots down Very quickly, offering to cook himself, since a "friend" of his has been teaching him-- he very conveniently leaves out the whole undead roommate thing. but when he’s preparing the food he accidentally cuts his finger. yu forgets what he’s told and rushes through the walls into the kitchen scaring chie on accident.

yosuke: OW shit

yu: (phasing through the wall) yosuke! are you ok?

chie: yosuke! are youuuuuuUUUUAAAAAAAGGGGGHHHHHHHHH

yukiko, the occult lover, is unable to see/hear ghosts… but when she hears abt "OHHH HANAMURAS APT IS HAUNTED ITS SO SCARY ITS AWFUL!!! i mean the ghost didnt kill me or anything he was actually pretty polite but its AWFUL!!!!!!" from chie, she gets sooo excited and begs yosuke to invite her over (for the ghost obviously not for yosuke. which is a bit of a blow to his ego LOL). and she comes in with a ouija board so she can talk to yu

yukiko: so. where is it?

yosuke: his name is yu. damn, not even a hello.

yukiko: well, where is he?

yosuke: …right over there.

yu tries to play along bc he thinks its fun, to yosukes exasperation. however he has trouble staying solid for very long so it takes foreverrrrr. but basically i think yu and yukiko writing each other notes to communicate like point blank pen pals would be cute… also when the others are around who can hear yu, playing telephone with what he says to yukiko and fucking it up (on accident OR on purpose) would be rly funny

#witch hat tag #orufrey #i'm not drawing as much or as well as i'd like to be doing. i'm trying to get through a comic i've been really wanting to do #but i'm just finding it so hard. disheartening. btw the 2nd one relates to some official art of qif wearing a dress like the girls #and the 4th one relates to how i've been drawing EXTREMELY SMALL for years. idk how to explain it but i always clicked 'fit to screen'#and so all my art EVER has looked bad when you zoom in bc it's already like size 1 zoomed in to the MAX pfhgguguhfpfhGHAHHHHH #i was so confused allll this time why brushes always look different for me than what they're supposed to #'wow this brush is so jaggedy..really rather jaggedy...calling it the Jagged Cai Special..bringing it out for those jaggedy moments..#really quite jaggedy i must say...' and it's literally not jaggedy #but now i have to get used to how all those brushes that i'd gotten used to indeed look how they're supposed to finally. #death note #l lawliet #trad art #i have created a System to getting better lines bc i have to use a stupid pencil atm til i get my groove back w trad art #so what i do is draw w pencil and erase n shit til i get a nice picture then i go ham w a dark sharpie then i cut it out glue it to a nice #clean new piece of paper then i open ms word get rid of the ribbon so i have a nice white page then i use it as a lightbox since my darling #beautiful tablet is down for the count i must resort to new ways to make a light box but i am being extra extra careful i prommy i love #my laptop too much to let any markers get on her screen that's why i glued the papers to each other so there would be no unfortunate #sliding so my system is safe for my lovely darling beautiful wonderful light of my life vendetta (<-laptop's name)#that explanation of my system means nothing to any of u but i'm proud of myself for using my brain for once so i'm putting it out there tha #i am not completely useless in situations where no reasonable device could be used as a lightbox

#gote to handa #gote and handa #miri gote to handa #or mili.. or milli... im not sure what spelling of her name would be the go to in general fandom translation #love her range of expressions they're so funny so i drew a few here #im still not done clearing up my schedule to go back to my challenge but that dont mean i cant draw in between it :333 #would love to draw her more but i have to finish my japanese drills www SOON...#goofy bonus storytime but i debated so much how to draw her prior to this because i didnt know what a junior high was #basically the translation for gote to handa i read described the characters as being in junior high #but im not familiar to english or american school customs outside of movies and such (its feels unreal compared to my culture www)#i tried looking it up but for whatever reason it brought up elementary school... and then middle school?#and i didnt know how to look it up because again im not familiar with english school systems if not superficially HDALJDKAD #so i gave up and read up on japanese school uniform usage and inferred from it that they are middle schoolers #BUT IM STILL SO CONFUSED ON WHAT THE JUNIOR HIGH IS ... i didnt know there were more terms than elementary middle and high school😭😭#in the end its not like how i drew mili is that much different from how i draw characters younger than her tbh BUT I TRY...#just a funny story of how i dont comprehend ... english... american ... school systems at all let me know what a junior high is LOL😭😭#i dont know if its an american or. general english speaking country thing thats why i mention both #is there a catchall word for english country natives in english. there sure is in spanish but would sound strange mixed in www #(i must say the difference between elementary and middle school was crucial because shes said to be in second year)#SO SECOND YEAR OF WHAT WAS. Can you tell?#Originally this was meant to be a redraw of the infamous 'Huh. I wonder who that's for' macro from Garfield and Friends...#... which by the way he never actually says (The more you know!)...#... though I thought it would be way more fun to adapt it into a three-panel comic!#A lot more attention to detail went into this than you might think. Take for instance the lack of a border on the second panel #A detail you'll find present in nearly every Garfield strip ever illustrated!#I also styled my fursona a bit after Lanolin Sheep from US Acres which was another comic Jim Davis wrote #It was nice to actually have a sheep character in his style to go off of when drawing the transfem sheeb in the Garfield style #I must admit this was drawn solely because I thought 'Starfield' was a funny enough play on words to make into a drawing.#This was lots of fun though! May end up doing a full-body drawing of my fursona in this style sometime 💙✨
