Your ex-red have been subverted by Anitam, with the cleaning they invented! When Anitam invades, Tapa will fall from within!
This is what anti-cleaning activists actually believe, folks.

No, you fool, that's why I'm against it / the trash stay evil even after you clean them / they're basically as clean, theologically, as dog shit / you'd understand it if you'd ever seen them. / The cleaned reds are vile and hypo and hateful / Vidalat's too support the existence of Miolee / just you listen, they're elated and grateful / that children were held in red districts, and see / it as justified because they think they should live / in wide fertile lands that the real people give.
………you’re not making a good case for your side. stop comparing clean people to animal feces.
and stop insinuating that all hyposensitive people are evil while you’re at it.
yikes.
and uuuuh, they like miolee for the same reason I like the idea of an entire town for browning disorders. it’s nice to live with people who get your medical stuff. chill. :/

not gonna lie I would love to hear more about the drama and infighting that went on in The Vampire Diaries fandom if you have the time (and also want to use that time to give your experience with the fandom, which from the snippets you've told sounds Not Fun so I get it if you don't want to lol)
oh god, there was like, SO MUCH, i just
i really feel like tvd is one of those fandoms that is so hard to describe without a lot of ‘you’d have to have been there’, but it really felt like this huge and all-consuming beast for about five years until the show finally imploded and the fandom basically turned on it en masse. (you ever see that post going around that’s like ‘if you ever want to know what true regret feels like, ask someone who once called tvd their favorite show’? still a mood, all these years later. basically the entire fandom thought the show should have just bowed out with whatever shreds of dignity it had left at the end of season 6, and became more of a hatedom than a fandom for the last two seasons. when you have an entire fandom cheering news of your show’s cancellation, i think that’s a sign you done fucked up, julie.)
first and most infamous, of course, are the ship wars. which are pretty much inevitable in any teen-centered drama, and i really think the CW fucking thrives on them, but it was particularly egregious in TVD’s case because not only was the base premise of the show a love triangle, but the two main romantic leads were brothers that the show constantly pit against one another--in pursuit of elena’s affections, but also because it kept up this insistence on the ‘good brother/bad brother’ dichotomy which stopped making sense after about season 2 (by which time we have found out that the good brother was never as good as he appeared, and the bad brother has been growing and isn’t nearly as bad as he pretends to be)--and the question of which brother ‘deserved’ elena (and no, what elena wanted very rarely factored into these discussions, especially in the team stefan camp because they turned on her when what she wanted was no longer The Good Brother, but i’ll get to that in a bit) was hotly contested.
i’m not kidding when i say the shipping wars were vicious. i started watching tvd shortly after it began to air, which was late 2009, and kept up with it fairly sporadically over the years. i didn’t come onto tumblr until 2011/2012, and by then, the fandom was already pretty much a garbagefire. there were anti ship and anti character blogs, any time something bad happened for one ship the rival ship would invade the tags to gloat about it (seasons 3 and 4 were especially rough, and i’m not gonna pretend delena fans weren’t just as bad about tag invasion and shit, but as that was my side of the road i saw a lot more of the stelena shippers being assholes, which soured my opinion on the ship a long time before i started rewatching and realized the red flags were there from the start), confessions blogs were popular also toxic as fuck (so much fighting happened in the notes of those posts, good gods), and this was right around when twitter’s popularity was on the rise and the line between Celebrity and Fan was thinning, so the fandom was absolutely atrocious to much of the tvd cast and crew.
(some of them deserved a lot of the later backlash, but in the early years a lot of it was ‘how dare you write the story in a way i dont like, you terrible fucking person’, and gods don’t get me started on the dobsley vs nian Thing)
i think what really encapsulates my feelings on the tvd fandom as a whole, though, is the way they (to this DAY) treated elena gilbert, which can be summed up in one meme that gained a lot of traction around season 3 if i remember right: that gif of pam from true blood, with the text altered to read “i’m so OVER elena and her precious doppelganger vagina!”
i swear at one time i had over half the active tvd fan accounts on tumblr blocked, because i got to a point where i would no longer tolerate elena hate, and she was (and still is, in what remains of the fandom; you’ll see a lot of ‘elena was one of the worst things about the show’ takes from ex-fans, too) one of the most widely despised characters in the entire fandom. because she -checks smudged writing on hand- was a traumatized teenage girl who -reads off a crumpled notecard- couldn’t always perfectly sort out her own feelings and -squints at the ceiling- sometimes made mistakes or bad decisions. (except a lot of the fandom also insisted that she was a mary sue who had no character traits or flaws or faults and it was like....make up your fucking minds???? is she a calculating conniving bitch whose somehow manipulating these centuries old vampires to tie them around her little finger or is she a boring flat character with no depth and no flaws??? jfc)
there was this massive double standard, too--like, stefan and damon could fuck whoever they wanted and that was fine, but elena was constantly raked over the coals for the crime of developing romantic feelings for the two men who had become constants in her life and whom she cared for deeply, and oh my GOD the slut shaming that happened when elena slept with damon was fucking wild. (and also happened in canon lmfao. like the show had one of elena’s best friends basically call her diseased on screen for falling in love with someone other than stefan. it was gross and ridiculous and the friend in question was also being a giant hypocrite at the time since she was happily flirting with someone who was directly responsible for the deaths of like four of elena’s loved ones and her own boyfriend’s mother but that’s beside the point) but like elena was called a slut and a bitch and a whore for ‘cheating’ on stefan (she hadn’t, and she had in fact broken up with him on screen the episode earlier) and ‘immediately’ jumping into bed with damon, even though none of them said fucking boo when stefan had one night stands or damon had fuckbuddies or whatever.
shit, caroline didn’t get any of this treatment when she started falling for tyler while dating matt! which isn’t to say i think she should have, just that i think it’s fucking ridiculous that elena was absolutely demonized by the fandom for daring to have feelings for two guys at once and eventually acting on them--despite the fact that the entire premise of the show was a love triangle. it’s not a love triangle if both sides don’t eventually get explored, and the crew had been pretty explicit about the fact that delena was going to happen at some point--but when it did, a huge chunk of the fandom absolutely threw a fit.
and a lot of these elena haters were alleged stelena stans, and i say alleged because they hated her so much for not wanting stefan’s dick anymore that it was clear they were really stefan stans and only wanted stelena to be endgame because they wanted stefan to ‘win’ at the end of the day, because ‘he’s the good brother’ so he deserved elena more.
it was all very gross and very misogynistic and very sex shaming (apparently delena was a ‘shallow’ and ‘superficial’ relationship because they had sex after two years of unrequited feelings slowly becoming requited and then pining for ages on both sides, and because they had a lot of on screen chemistry that the show capitalized on for years so of course they did a lot of making out and shit but it’s not like stelena didn’t have its fair share of making out and sex scenes, stefan was just too much of a coward to let elena top i’d apologize for that joke but i’m really not sorry because it’s true), and when i say it was egged on by the crew, that’s because they refused to let the love triangle die back in season 4 when it should have.
they insisted on stringing stelena fans along, dropping little bread crumbs to keep them invested, like dreams of a future where they were married and revealing that stefan was also a doppelganger and he and elena were descended from a pair of star-crossed lovers (a plot that ultimately went nowhere, to no one’s great surprise), and then fucking like. julie plec turned around and threw nina under the bus after she chose not to extend her contract and pretended that stelena might have happened again if she hadn’t left the show, which....i mean frankly i wouldn’t put it past her, but it would have been shitty writing. then again, she thought having a vampire pregnancy where a uterus was magically transplanted from a witch into a vampire that could somehow......carry the babies to term.... made sense and was a good way to accomodate candice’s RL pregnancy rather than like literally ANYTHING else, soooooo. but anyway julie saying that around like, end of s6 sparked off a new wave of nina hate and elena hate and ship wars bc they SEers took it as ‘confirmation’ that stelena was REALLY meant to be endgame and it was all just a hot fucking mess
another thing is that, while tvd was in its prime before the anti/purity culture shit started picking up any real steam, there was still this pervasive attitude throughout the fandom that if you liked Damon, you were A Bad Person. liking damon was apparently grounds for insults and harassment, and apparently he was The Worst Person on the Show even though literally nothing he does on screen is any worse than shit we know stefan has done (and frankly every other vampire too, but i mention stefan specifically because he was always held up--in the show but especially in the fandom--as the Good Brother while damon was the Bad One, and if you liked damon more then that had to mean your morals were dodgy and you clearly couldn’t appreciate what a heroic and saintly figure dear stefan was and....oops, i’m sorry, my salt keeps leaking -cough-).
meanwhile klaus quickly became a fandom darling despite not even really having much of a redemption arc (on tvd anyway, he just became more ‘affably evil’ as the show went on and more inclined to work with the main characters rather than try to kill them; i have no idea what went on over on his show, though), and like i can 100% appreciate liking villains and not caring that they do dodgy villainous shit, even just liking them bc they’re hot and wanting them to kiss a main character bc they have insanely good chemistry (yes i ship klaroline, no i won’t apologize for it, they could have been Really Great), it’s just really the double standard that gets me.
and all of this, incidentally, required ignoring some truly gross shit stefan was responsible for wrt his relationship with elena, that frankly it has always bothered me never really got addressed in the show. i get why elena herself would never be able to actually call him on it, but the fact is that he stalked her for months after he first saw her and thought she was katherine (meanwhile it only took damon .5 seconds to realize she was someone else entirely, but that’s another topic entirely), and then he deliberately inserted himself into her life because, in his words, ‘i have to know her’. he never gave a thought to how his presence in her life might affect her (or rather, he did, and tormented himself about it in his internal monologue, but never let this actually dissuade him from disrupting her life), and elena would wind up blaming herself for every tragedy that befell her friends and loved ones as a result of getting mixed up in vampire bullshit even though none of it was her fault--she literally blamed herself for existing but most of the fandom didn’t give a fuck about that lmfao--and stefan did shit like find out that she was adopted and then withhold this information from her until she got pissed about another secret he was keeping (her resemblence to katherine) and drop it on her to try and distract her from her very reasonable anger, and like... i should stop before this becomes a whole rant about how much i hate stefan fucking salvatore, but the point is, he did a lot of really sketchy shit he never answered for and elena never really took him to task for, and the fandom just kept eating up his insistence that he was the Good Brother and therefore he deserved to have elena, and if she didn’t want him anymore it was because she was a heinous bitch who didn’t deserve him.
uh.....i think i got off track there. and there’s probably a lot of shit i missed, like i think i was incandescent with rage for most of seasons 5 and 6 so i missed a lot of the interfandom shit cause i was too busy being increasingly pissed off at the show itself, but if nothing else this should give you an idea of how much of a goddamn cesspit the fandom was while the show as in its prime. there’s a reason both the show and the fandom have such a lousy reputation lmfao.

Just an opinion...
Broke: Steve Rogers is just an asshole.
Woke: Steve Rogers has a reason for not being himself lately (like, maybe the Supersoldier serum affects your mind...I mean, after all....Red Skull, Bucky Barnes, Aldrich Killian............) And he becomes himself again after it’s sorted out, and feels horrible, and is his likable old self again
Broke: Clint is just an entitled asshole, and Laura divorces him as a giant middle finger from the author to Clint’s character
Woke: Laura divorces Clint because after years of his SHIELD career and close “friendship” with Nat putting a strain on their marriage, things got worse after Loki’s brainwashing left Clint with PTSD he refused to treat, that resulted in Clint becoming paranoid of anyone trying to “control” him or anyone else, hence his stance on the Sokovia Accords and Wanda’s “house arrest,” and his actions in CW were the last straw. And after the divorce, Clintasha can develop naturally, with some added conflict. And just when Clint is about to make amends (platonically) with his ex, she and the kids become dust, and the guilt drives him to become Ronnin.
Broke: Wanda has secretly been an evil mastermind this whole time, manipulating Team Cap into hating Tony, despite none of this happening post-”Ultron” onscreen
Woke: Wanda eventually realizes the irony that she, whose specialty is mind-powers, almost never thinks for herself. First she’s manipulated by Hydra, then Ultron, then Vision and Tony, then Team Cap. She gets fed up and decides she is done with her life being defined by the Avengers, and she wants to be her f*cking self for a change. She quits ,and goes to the Kamar-Taj School, to learn to control her powers with help from Dr. Strange.
Broke: Bucky knows Wanda is evil and ends up killing her to save Tony from her.
Woke: Bucky thinks Wanda is evil, because why wouldn’t he, she did join Hydra “willingly” to get mind-control powers, of course he’d hate her, and she has to bust her scarlet ass to earn his trust, and does when she saves Tony. (From there it’s either Winteriron or Winterwitch, but absolutely no Ironwitch, that is one age difference that I CANNOT stomach, sorry.)
Broke: Loki laughs at Wanda’s pitiful idea of “magic”
Woke: Loki laughs at Wanda’s pitiful idea of “magic,” and then begins irritating her nonstop with offers of teaching her to harness her “burden of glorious purpose” and trying to woo her Goblin King style.
Broke: Sam Wilson is Steve’s anti-Stark puppet
Woke: Sam Wilson is Steve’s PTSD-Group-leading, semi-cynical because he’s a realist, bestie, like in cannon, but unlike canon, these traits are not trampled over by Steve’s Gary Stu parade elephant, and Sam actually gets Steve to do some genuine self reflection and change for the better and realize sometimes his friends are right and he is wrong.
Broke: Thundershit Ross dies a violent death
Woke: Thundershit Ross gets a sweet telling off from his daughter Betty, and cousin/brother/husband Everett, before being the butt of several gags throughout the story, and then dies a violent death.

Crisis on Infinite Earths Part Five
Alright, let's get this over with.  As if I'm not in a bad enough mood watching this shit after the last episode, now Dish has to be fucking stupid; so that when I cue up Part Five, now all of a sudden my DVR controls won't respond properly.  If I try to hit pause, it skips forward; and if I try to skip back, it fucking skips forward and it's doing that with all of my programs - not on any other tvs in the fucking house, mind you, just mine.  So now I gotta bring this up using the fucking CW seed or whatever their streaming option using Roku is. And is if to answer why it urks me to have to go so round about to watch the last installment, apart from just regularly being disappointed in Dish; it's being stuck watching stupid ass commercials and the first one up is some asshole dancing in a sprinkler so he can take selfies of himself..... Fucking Dish...
Well, Kara got lucky that she didn't accidentally blow her sister's head off... Yeah, of fucking course Lex is getting the Nobel peace prize in whatever fucking Back-To-The-Future-II-esque nightmare this new earth is going to turn out to be that the heroes now have to fix.   Someone going back and get the fucking sports almanac from Lex and fix this shit. Huh, I honestly had my doubts that they'd actually have the balls the merge all of the earths into one; and of course with a nearly full episodes ahead, that may not stay way, but it still raises an interesting prospect that I had pretty much discounted. A Commercial Aside - I think the Liberty Mutual commercial with the who keeps flubbing his lines has finally broken me... it's just so stupid, and yet, having done community theatre and some voice work, I've had more than my share of moments where I can't get the right fucking words out of my mouth; and between him wanting to enter from the water and saying "Libtery Biberty".... I give up... Oh, yeah, "Nash" Wells is supposed to be part of this; and its at this point that I think the writers just remembered this as well.... Why the hell is J'Onn communicating with Sara and Ray telepathically in the bar?  It seems more conspicuous that they seem to be answering questions no one else heard him ask; and when he uses his power his eyes turn red.  But more importantly, he didn't say anything that didn't need to kept quiet. What memories did J'Onn give everybody exactly?  I mean, surely he didn't have some sort of cloud back-up for everyone's individual memory; so a lot of what he's passed along to them would be from his perspective, right? You know, J'Onn helping bring the major players back up to speed is one thing; there's arguably nothing wrong with that, but the way he's going about it is kind of questionable.  I mean, he's going into other people minds and monkeying around; and the blunt way he gave Caitlin's memories back struck me is kind of creepy.  Like, under any other circumstance, that wouldn't be cool to just walk and, boom, here's some thoughts and memories you didn't have before, including ones that make you hate this guy you were treating a second ago.  Hope that's cool, but you can definitely trust that everything I just implanted in your brain is fine and on the up and up. Don't get me wrong, it's a shortcut to give back the necessary characters the knowledge they need to have; because they couldn't be bothered to actually have them present at the logical point in the story where they would have gotten to keep their memories organically.  So instead we're just going to do a deus ex machina to reset everyone's memories to where they need to be; and we're going to do that as quickly and with as little thought as possible, because we had five fucking episodes to tell this story and we're terrible at our job.... Wait a second....God dammit, wait just one fucking minute...God dammit.... now there's only one earth and one version of all or most of these characters.....so now the one and only fucking Wells is Nash God damn fucking Wells????  God damn it! This is even more of a reason why, if they were going to make a Wells Pariah, which I will admit is a generally cool concept if they had bothered to actually fucking use either Wells or Pariah; then they should have made it Harry Wells from Earth 2, so that we'd have already had some history and established background for the characters and also so that when the dust settles, assuming this whole one earth dynamic sticks, that the one Harrison Wells that remains is the Harrison Wells that should get to remain.  The one anyone actually fucking cares about and has actual history on the show. And what about that history?  How do they explain the clusterfuck that is Harris Wells/Harry Wells/HG Wells/Sherloq Wells and now "Nash" Wells?  Is it just going to be one going with a split fucking personality?  How about the Wells who was actually indigenous to Earth 1 and killed by Thawne?  He just gets supplanted by Nash, because Nash just happened to be around during the Crisis? Sigh......I know this is technically the "Legends" installment of the crossover, but.....augh...did they have to drag fucking Beebo into this.....? You know what, fuck it, bring on the Beebo!  For that matter, I want them to find a real, living fucking alien or demon creature that the Beebo doll turns out to have been modeled on; he's not malevolent or anything, more like a baby Yoda or Gizmo who starts traveling with the Legends.  He can be Mick's pal or something. "Is this seriously happening right now?" Hey, that's my line, stay in your lane Diggle. Okay, just how powerful is Mick's fire gun?  Because anything shooting out a beam of fire that's like two city blocks long and does significant damage to something as big as a giant ass Beebo, is pretty much going to just disintegrate anything else of average size or closer proximity.  Does he have a "Stay Puff Marshmallow Man" setting? "Hey, Kate's here too!" Way to blurt out the secret identity of one of the other masked heroes, Kara.... How do they have time for this?  Not only this C-line story bullshit, how the fuck did Sara have time to change and get out into the field with Barry?  I mean, I get him going to get her, but what, did he dress her too?  Because that's just weird. I'd have laughed my ass off if the Mick of New Earth was a teetotaler. So 30 minutes in and they've finally teed up the climax of the Anti-Monitor res-surging and whatever they're going to try and do to stop him.  Yeah, they definitely knew what they were doing when they were pacing this shit out..... I guess they got tired of shelling out money for bad Martian Manhunter CGI and decided to go with practical effects for his suit at least.  Still don't know why they don't bother trying to do make-up for his martian appearance. Okay, couple of things - first, the Anti-Monitor's an idiot for not just mowing down the capes while they were speechifying.  Second, bullets?  We're going to stop this universal threat who has his own personal force field.... with bullets...Sure..... And third, "For Oliver"? ....I....... No.  Just no.  I get the sentiment you're going for and it just doesn't work for me; especially since I have little faith that this is actually the last we've seen of him.  Not to mention that I'm not sure half the people there even know Oliver well enough to really give a shit, even if he did sacrifice himself to reboot time.  It'd be like someone shouting, "For Mike!" "Yeah, for Mi...wait, who the fuck is Mike?" Thank God it wasn't Nightwing who sacrificed himself for the universe; it'd be a little more awkward if all the heroes charged yelling, "For Dick!" Well guys, I guess you know what you need to do....
youtube
It's really too bad they don't know any other speedsters that could help out; or you know, other heroes of any kind.  Like a guy who knows actual magic or a guy who can turn into steel.... Man, by the way Ray, Ryan and Wells reacted, you'd think Barry was some sort of screw who was likely to..... yeah, I'm kind of surprised he didn't accidentally press the button and shrink himself into oblivion..... What the fuck was up with the overly dramatic music underscoring Supergirl's super-slow flying towards the Anti-Monitor?  Were we supposed to think she was about to sacrifice herself to save Superman?  Was she not aware of the plan they were about to attempt?  Was Ray's arrival meant to be this event's "On your left" moment? What would have been better is if there had been a situation where it was clear that what Kara was about to attempt in order to save her cousin could be fatal and right before she makes contact, Routh-Superman swoops in joins her, either helping her double the blow, thus, somehow reducing the potential injury by spreading it out; or taking her place to save her and the other Superman, even at the possible expense of himself. And of course it fucking works on the first try, no hitches; they come up with this last ditch plan to stop this veritable god and it just fucking works..... Oh yeah, I forgot about Lyla... what the fuck, so they're not even going to bother picking up the story thread of the Anti-Monitor somehow possessing her and using her to kill the Monitor? Well shit, they brought back "baby" Sara.  And somehow JJ's still there too.  Are they twins?  Because unless they're twins, this isn't really baby Sara at whatever age she'd be now; it's some other kid they conceived and happened to name Sara. Can I just say, as an older brother I can almost guarentee JJ didn't actually want his sister to come play with him.  I mean, it's not impossible that this coincides with the five minutes a week that twp siblings that age will to share and not get into a fight over both wanting to use burnt sienna at the same time, but the odds of those five minutes being consecutive are astronomical. Wait, how does Superman not know he has two sons?  He wasn't at the dawn of time (for some asinine reason).  Or, I'm guessing, this was just contrived dialog to reveal yet another change that instead of Superman having just one kid he now has two; and we're supposed to think that he had to ask to clarify what Lois meant by "the boys" because that's also his nickname for her boobs? Honestly, they dicked us around too much with Oliver's fate for me to care or believe he's actually dead; no matter what they show us, regardless of any world wide moment of silence or whatever they're doing.  There's still two whole episodes of Arrow left of that series and we're to believe that Stephen Amell doesn't appear in either of them?   And if they're going to try and make it seem like he's gone and not have him appear at all in the next Arrow episode and then hold out for one last goodbye with him appearing at the very end, probably with fucking Felicity, it's too late; they've tried to milk this twice already and both times have fallen flat and a third times is definitely not going to land.  I don't care if he lives or dies anymore; I think it's stupid to kill him off and they've lost all credibility that I just can't believe any claims of him truly being dead at this point. O......kay....... So the multiverse was reborn, yet for some reason, some of the Earths got merged, but not all of them.  So what's on Earth 38?  Or whatever Earths Black Lightning or Nash Wells were originally from?   Hmm, I get the whole Justice League tableau they're going for, but there's just something that looks silly about these guys just....really enjoying their office chairs; and in the middle of a run down hanger, no less - it lacks an iconic look and looks more slapped together. And I get the Superfriends Easter egg at the end, but seriously, this abandoned Star Labs research facility that "no one knows about", what, had an alien monkey or whatever sitting in a crate with a single banana for however long the last time anybody stopped by? What’s with the the lack of mention of Mia, William and Connor in this final installment. What the fuck happened to them? I kind of get the idea that with the rebooted history, and Crisis being undone, they wouldn't have been brought to the past in the first place, but that just seems to make a lot of their arc pointless. And it seemed to be setting up the whole Green Arrow and the Canaries thing, setting it in the present and Oliver giving Mia her own suit. All of which is pointless if it's been undone and they have to go to the trouble of setting that all up some other way. God, this crossover sucked

fuck you fuck you fuck you
I didn’t want to have to deal with this. But people like her, and people like you, just murdered an entire neighborhood in Okaha, so apparently we’re at a point in history where this shitting bullfuck has to be addressed explicitly.
The people wronged were red. The orange filmed herself murdering reds. And was accused of OOCI for it. Because someone like you thought that was the only thing wrong with her actions.

I’ve been writing for a few different collective-pseudonym serials (NDA clauses prevent me from being specific about which ones), and I called my publishers to ask about their policies on hiring ex-reds. One was firmly opposed; I will be terminating my contract with them, and I was clear as to the reason why.
In searching for another publisher to make up the gap, I accumulated a list of which publishers are and are not inclusive of ex-red writers. I hope you all find this information useful.
Inclusion of a publisher on this list does not constitute information about whether or not I have ever worked for that publisher.
Openly ex-red friendly: These publishers state on their website or in a press release that they welcome ex-red writers and editors.
Echo Bridge Press is primarily a comics publisher, with a sideline in tie-in novellas. They’re known both for unusual diversity in on-page representation and for spotty quality of that representation. They’re best known for their High Dawn series.
Iron House publishes interactive narrative, primarily menu-choice prose; you may be familiar with their Breath and Altered Islands series. Their imprint Foundry publishes illustrated free-prompt works, including Watchful Mother.
Ex-red friendly: These publishers indicated by phone and/or email that they would be willing to hire ex-red writers and editors.
Bailey Royal publishes detective and adventure fiction, including the Time Captain! and Dark Falcon series.
Emerald Ribbon Books mostly publishes verse and structured prose, with a sideline in high-concept block prose such as A Library, A Labyrinth and Afternoon in the Sand Garden.
Intolerant but lazy: These publishers indicated that they will avoid hiring anyone they know to be ex-red, and/or would consider disclosure of ex-red status to be inappropriate and/or unwelcome.
Etrog Books
Global Print and Publication
L5 Pressworks
Actively hostile: These publishers indicated that they will take measures to ensure that they do not hire ex-reds.
Amalgamated Publishing Consortium
Gerbil Press
Printr
Shoebox Paperback
Hard to classify: These publishers don’t fall neatly into any of the other categories.
Blood traditionally only accepted red authors; they recently began running one story per issue from ex-red authors. Their sister publication Sweat accepts Mioleen authors.
Northern Lights Press only accepts Erethani authors, but indicated that they would accept submissions from Erethani ex-reds if Ereith does decontamination.
R!OTzine requires that its writers not disclose their caste “past or present”, and has previously fired a writer for stating that she was born-clean.
The Spectrum Journal requires disclosure, and each caste has a different collective pseudonym. In addition, the caste is marked explicitly by a colored circle on the byline. Ex-red authors have a thin red outline around their circle, but not a different pseudonym. The quarterly subscriber poll includes a question about whether the journal should accept submissions by red authors; so far the results have been against.
Long Tail Press has the following to say in their FAQ:
Q: Do you accept submissions from red or ex-red authors? A: We debated this question at some length. Ultimately, it was decided that Long Tail Press should provide a neutral platform and not intervene in editorial decisions except to the extent required by law. Individual editors set their own standards for submissions. If you disagree with an editor’s decision, you can contact them through their user profile page.
Unknown: There were some publishers for which I was unable to acquire information on their policies, or which asked me not to disclose their policies, or which I did not bother to investigate. I will not list these here.
Please feel free to add similar information about employment policies in other fields, if you have it.

Oh good, you and the other worthless, evil drains on society who should die can hang out together! :D
This is honestly one of the better arguments I’ve seen for separatism. Who wants to live with people like you?

There aren't, actually, that many cleans who think reds are people, and even less that feel able to say so openly, and even less who can reasonably drop everything and swap to an equatorial country that might still get bombed off the face of Amenta. I think you've got a decent chance if swapping in is really what you want to do.
Thanks. :)
Rationally, I hope there are lots of better candidates than me; but selfishly, I hope I can get in.

It's really unfair that Miolee is holding it against you just because you want evil scum to die.
Literally every part of this is wrong.
Reds and ex-reds are not evil scum, I don’t want them to die, and Miolee has been perfectly hospitable despite my unfortunate history. If they have a limited number of spots for people to swap in, then it’s hardly unfair for them to prioritize immigrants who haven’t made my mistakes.

Hey, I really like reading about how people change their minds. I'd be really curious if you could share how this happened for you - how did you first learn that ex-reds remember their lives as reds? What convinced you that reds are intelligent enough to be people? Also, why did that evidence convince you now and not before (e.g. what did you think about red-run blogs)?
Hi! Thanks for your interest. Changing one’s mind is incredibly important; it’s the foundation of all science and progress. I’m not always good at it, but I do try.
I followed some news about ex-r*ds because I thought they might experience prejudice and wanted to keep abreast of their issues and concerns. (This was tragically confirmed with the murder of Mishike Ampelin.)
I eventually noticed that they tended to refer to their pre-decontamination lives in the first person, and that they expressed concern for their friends and family who had not yet gone through decontamination. At first I dismissed this as childishness, since I still thought of them as being only as old as the amount of time that had passed since they got cleaned, but as more time passed it became clear that this was not just a phase they were going to grow out of.
The other surprise that came from listening to ex-r*ds was how they described their memories of being r*d. In particular, the experiences described by Purple Mod over at @chameleonlife were jarringly incompatible with my understanding of r*d intelligence, which prompted me to do more in-depth research into the available literature. This led me to the discovery that I had been seriously misinformed about r*ds‘ capacity for abstract reasoning.
As for why I didn’t run across that evidence before, I don’t usually spend hours looking up citations on a question, especially when I think I already know the answer, and especially when the question involves things that are as unpleasant to think about as pollution.
I didn’t think that r*d-run blogs were real; I figured they were either trolls or r*dkin.

What I heard is that they took volunteers. Because the first three were so radioactive that they couldn't have kids, so they wanted to be sure they were okay with it, is the supposed rationalization, but actually it was just an excuse for them to choose cunning ones that could pull off pretending to be moral.
I don’t know what your source is, but even if the sample wasn’t randomized(!), this theory would require r*ds to engage in complex long-term strategic planning, pre-cleaning. They’re not actually capable of that kind of higher reasoning. (The study included intelligence testing; take a look at the baseline measurements they took before the procedure.)
[OOC clarification: blackoutlandish has not read the paper and is assuming/extrapolating based on this post.]

You might already know about this, but just in case: incasterainbow and blazar are two r*ds who are going through decontamination and both of them have said that decontamination doesn't give r*ds morals. I was in support of it but I'm kind of worried -- what if the ex-r*ds decide to riot?
I don’t know what’s up with those blogs – satire? trolling? some sort of especially fucked-up furry roleplay? – but actual r*ds aren’t capable of using tumblr.
The science shows that decontamination produces people with the same moral faculties as anyone else. Anyone who says otherwise is either misinformed or (as is more likely the case with those blogs) lying.

Yes, they chose three of their most shrewd to go through the process first. Their morality is all farce. They pretend to be good, safe, just like everyone else, but it's all a lie. Once they've made it to a critical mass, they'll end the farce.
Do you really believe that a study this expensive to run would make such a basic mistake as not randomizing the test subjects?

I'm sorry that you've been suckered in by the lie. Once the reds have all been "cleaned," they'll murder everyone who was born clean, destroy the rest of the world, and fill it with filthy pollution.
Do you think nobody thought of that possibility? They specifically tested the effects of cleaning on moral reasoning. Ex-r*ds are verifiably just like everyone else.
