This the truth behind all the rolling back of access to abortions and all laws against abortions intensifying. Also Republicans and conservatives fight to now to ban the pill and other contraceptives, the morning after pill, plan B. It's about and will always be about controlling women!! It's important to remember this, not allow them to win.

My mother planned her life, got a few degrees, then a doctorate. She taught at a university and published a journal on chaos theory in nursing.
Women who can make decisions for their reproduction have power.
Conservative men want to remove that power.

Your letters: Overturning Roe V. Wade hurts poor people more than people with means
"How could a country that values freedom outlaw a woman’s right to make decisions about her own body and put those decisions in the hands of legislators?" - Marge Langer of Danbury
Dear editor, Fifty-one years ago, on Jan. 22, 1973, the U.S. Supreme Court decided that full reproductive healthcare for women was a constitutional, human right when it issued the Roe V. Wade decision. The decision was overturned on June 24, 2022. I am shocked by this development. It is an authoritarian move. How could a country that values freedom outlaw a woman’s right to make decisions about…

WHITE WOMEN WHO ARE VOTING FOR TRUMP: YOUR WHITENESS WILL NOT SAVE YOU. THIS YOUNG WOMAN WAS WHITE & FROM A REPUBLICAN, PRO-LIFE FAMILY. SHE DIED ANYWAYS BECAUSE OF NOT GETTING TREATMENTS THAT WOULD BE AN EVERY DAY OCCURRENCE IN PLACES WHERE THESE DRACONIAN LAWS DON'T EXIST.
HER WHITENESS DID NOT SAVE HER. HER BEING PRO-LIFE DID NOT SAVE HER. IN A TRUMP AMERICA, YOU WILL MATTER JUST AS MUCH AS SHE DID. THE MEN IN YOUR LIFE DO NOT CARE ABOUT YOU. OTHER WOMEN VOTING LIKE THIS DO NOT CARE ABOUT YOU OR THEMSELVES.
PLEASE VOTE BLUE. YOU DON'T HAVE TO SHARE THAT YOU DID & YOU CAN PRETEND YOU VOTED FOR TRUMP IF ONLY TO KEEP YOURSELVES SAFE. PLEASE VOTE FOR KAMALA 💙

This is really important
A Duke Law Journal article (October 2024) that is the first paper to survey and compare all of the disparate definitions of "abortion" that anti-abortion states and proponents are trying to codify into law to strip away our rights.
Read it. Share it.

the funny thing about people in the oppressor class is that they are so ignorant and entitled they genuinely believe that the oppressed are privileged in some way
a white person will complain about how “black people have all the jobs and they have a special privilege now because everyone hates the poor white man”
a man will say that he wishes he were a woman so “I can just cook and clean and let my guy bring home the bacon and stay with kids and not go to war and be given free drinks at the club”
and a straight person will say “you gays are so lucky that everything caters to you nowadays, I get so bullied for being straight because it’s ‘vanilla’”
they say this with no critical analysis of the nature of these systems in the first place, and they show they have no actual grasp on the real lived experiences that these people go through everyday. they’ll bring up shallow, niche scenarios that they themselves or a friend of a friend witnessed and run with that to the point of delusion saying “see? I told you these guys weren’t oppressed! It was us all along!”
racism still abounds in even more degrading levels today (blackness and “Asian girl” are now a porn categories that are accepted as morally okay, we’ve seen black kids shot for no reason and the white shooter gets more funding for the court case than the victims family), misogyny has reached astronomical heights on the internet alone (don’t even get me started on how lockdowns had women getting murdered by their husbands in faster rates and how predatory behavior in younger boys has become more prevalent, abortion rights are almost nonexistent nowadays), and gay people are still getting murdered brutally, in fact their rights are being revoked and in other countries, the judicial punishment is getting harsher.
you’re so privileged you don’t even know what privilege means because you’ve never had to fight for it and never lived without it
these people are so inhuman to you that you think their suffering is fun and you want the “experience” of it
fuck off sincerely

chilling sign of the times: the local planned parenthood's phone tree now includes the advice "if you are having a medical emergency related to an abortion, please dial eight to be connected to our confidential help line. if you are experiencing any other medical emergency, please hang up and dial 911."

While this is a good idea, it's also a fucking distraction.
The repubs want to be able to point to their good deed in the hopes the swing voters won't vote against them in all of the elections. They saw how angry everyone is about taking away our rights and are afraid that they'll be voted out. They should be.
Any legislator or political office holder who shoves their religious (or twisted control) beliefs in between us and our rights deserves to lose their seat!
They also hope that by repealing a near total abortion ban from 150+ years ago, people won't vote for the Arizona Right to Abortion Initiative.
They're counting on people thinking to themselves, "Oh, the old abortion ban is gone, so I don't need to vote to make abortion a constitutional right. Maybe the 15-week ban isn't so bad."
Wrong!
We still need to vote this in! If we don't, then it leaves the door open for more fuckery from the repubs in the future. They're already cooking up more fuckery in the form of competing ballot measures.
We need to cement this right in the Arizona state constitution this year. Now. The time is NOW.
If you live in Arizona, vote to make the fundamental right to abortion care a law they can't screw around with.
If you're not in Arizona, please boost this message so more Arizonans see it and talk about it.
And if you're not in Arizona and you think about just continuing to scroll, keep in mind that states like to copy each other's laws (kind of like copying someone's homework in school). To help keep this movement strong all over the country, reblog reblog reblog!
Basically, everyone please reblog this!

Yet another one
I can’t express how angry and upset I am…
From Polish newspaper “Gazeta Whborcza”:
“Today in 48 Polish cities - but also in Berlin, London and Vienna - there will be protests under the slogan "Stop killing us". Dorota died in a hospital in Nowy Targ because the abortion was not performed on time. Before her, the same fate befell Izabela from Pszczyna, Agnieszka from Częstochowa, Marta from Katowice... They all died of septic shock. This is a direct cause, but it is the result of the scandalous judgment of the Constitutional Tribunal of Julia Przyłębska, which de facto tightened the abortion law. Despite this, the power camp is not going to beat itself in the chest.
The second problem is the so-called conscience clauses – used not only by individual doctors, but even by entire healthcare facilities. Like, for example, through the hospital in Nowy Targ. The institution of the conscience clause, since it leads to death, must be abolished. And in this matter, a clear declaration of opposition politicians is needed.”
This is Dorota…
