you know, before becoming a part of the Star Wars fandom, I was perfectly neutral on the topic of pacifism and pacifists. now I just.. hate them with a burning passion. I hear a pacifist say something and I just- bite my fist to stop myself from losing it. Satine Kryze really fucked up, and now i just kinda lose it when pacifism comes up.

Rosalie Tialavea, Leafa's oldest sister, recounted how the police entered the apartment with their guns drawn, without asking any questions about Leafa's age or who lived there, despite Leafa's mother being present and several minors, including infants, being in the home.

At the end of the day, we the populace of this world must reconcile with the idea that pacifism is a lie that is weaponized by the church, the state, and the moneymen of Wall Street, in an effort to keep themselves safe and the public docile.

Why?

Because they know we have the REAL power in our calloused, dry, cracked hands. The hands of the working class.

They know we have true strength as a collective, so they find the means to pacify the “sheep”, so to speak. This can be in the form of drastic legal threats (charging Luigi Mangione with three counts of murder instead of one), in the form of moralizing (give it time, next year the corporate owned media will tout out the whitewashed “safe” history of Dr King to quell the masses), or through subterfuge (infiltrating collectives in the guise of a fellow radical to state that we have “gone too far”) in an effort to sway others away from our cause.

This is why it is important to recognize the tricks and methods of the upper class, and be aware of their misinformation and methods. We must become ever vigilant, and decipher what is true and what is propaganda spewed from the throats of the money motivated, oozing, foul parasites. We must remain strong in our bonds as confidants and comrades, for that is what they dread the most: a community.

Do I yearn for a day where we no longer have need of such vigilance, that we can finally put down our weapons? Of course, such peace is a glorious intangible thing. But until we reach that future:

We fight.

We organize.

We make the rich, the exploitive, and the greedy afraid.

But most of all, we don’t fucking give up.

Right-wing media repeatedly used disasters in 2024 to baselessly attack diversity, equity, and inclusion initiatives. After a series of equipment malfunctions with Boeing passenger jets, right-wing media rushed to blame the failures on DEI policies. Several commentators also linked the Baltimore bridge collapse to DEI programs, declaring that “DEI equals die,” and Fox News' Jeanine Pirro recently responded to the New Orleans terror attack by calling the police chief “a DEI hire.” [Media Matters, 1/12/24, 1/25/24, 3/8/24, 7/15/24, 3/26/24, 3/30/24, 1/3/25]

Right-wing media figures are using the wildfires in the Los Angeles area to exploit anti-DEI and anti-LGBTQ+ hatred all because the LAFD chief Kristin Crowley is a lesbian woman who backs DEI programs.

The faux outrage over DEI is part of the right-wing war on non-cis white male [conservative] Americans in leadership roles.

If you look at my blog it might seem like I only care about Satine as an accessory to my pet toxic yaoi ship, but I do actually care about her as a character who could've been so much more interesting than the very basic characterization they gave her. I've said this before and I maintain it - she should've been a pacifist with a gun. defending that pacifism applies to institutions and governments not to individuals. she should've worn mandalorian armor and she should've kept her blasters eternally set to stun but still visibly carried blasters. she should've punched pre vizsla in the face. she should've punched maul in the face. she should've been padmé's idol, a role model for what she could've been. not impulsive and lovesick like padmé, not willing to risk her life or forgive anything for love like padmé, but a powerful politician who cared for her people and her culture and wouldn't hesitate to pick up a blaster if she had to.

Any sane person would absolutely not want humans to murder each other, anywhere. The issue with Hamas apologetic pro Palestine activists is that their agenda does not support the Palestinian population per se. They are not defending the rights of Palestinian civilians, but their own right to an uninformed, bigoted and performative opinion in their own (democratic) country. And these progressive liberal “anti apartheid” stances are so racist at their core. They infantilise Palestinians with their basic idea that “brown people/muslims/poc are inherently innocent and always 100% the victim to the evil and super powerful white people from Europe”… in this case the Jews, who seem to be passing as “white European” only whenever it is of disadvantage for them. Thank you? …

Of course Palestinian are victims of violence in this war. But the “white imperialist people come with guns to steal the land of a peaceful tribe” dynamic does absolutely not apply here. You could rather say that two groups of people want to live peacefully and safely in a small strip of land in the Levante, but there’s a fraction of people in each group who want all members of the “others” expelled or even killed. And these extremists, violent Israeli settlers, the far right Israeli government, anti-judaic Palestinians and Hamas terrorists equally, are at the core of the suffering of all peoples in Palestine/Israel.

If a Palestinian who has lost their home and has lost their loved ones is blinded by grief and develops a hatred for all Israelis - I can forgive it. It is human. But when western university students are pivoting this hatred that emerged from deepest grief and anger and justify their antisemitism with the suffering of the Palestinian people - it is unbearable. You are pouring oil into the same fire that is killing the children of Palestine that you supposedly care about. It is right and humane to be sympathetic with the people of Palestine. But defending a Terrorist Organisation and demonising all Israelis will not bring peace, ever!
