Wait, so let me get this straight. Spanish ultranationalists hate Basques because they are not Spanish and therefore have "unpure" blood, but at the same time they hate Basques because they have "pure" blood since Basques did not mix with the Imazigh and Arab conquerers during Al-Andalus unlike them??? Insane logic these guys have!
Kaixo anon!
Mmm... it's a bit more complex than that.
The "pure blood" thingy was true, yes, but we're talking maybe from 15th-18th century. Basques were considered "old Christian" - not "old Spanish" - because there was this popular idea of Basque people being still purely Christian (not Spanish, Christian) since Al-Andalus didn't reach the north and hence there wasn't mix-raced people.
It was a time of religious prosecution, antisemitism and anti-islamism, when forced conversions happened on a daily basis, and when converted families were looked down on and suspected of being insincere and still being Jewish or Muslim in secret. The eight-surname thing came from that time: if you could prove that your 8 first surnames - this is, your grandparents' and your great grandparents' - were Christian, you were considered "old Christian" and you could apply for jobs in the Government, or be elegible to go up the military ranks, etc. Blood equaled religion.
This perception was gradually changed once Jewish people were expelled, Granada was conquered and, as time went by, all Jewish and Muslim people were converted and assimilated, and Spain became an almost Christian-only country. We're in the 19th century already, and even then some people - like minister Mendizabal - would change their surname of Jewish origin to one of Basque origin, because it was still undesirable. So you can see how centuries of antisemitism and anti-islamism affected Spaniards.
But in the last half of the 19th century, as nationalism as we more or less know it was spreading throughout Europe and reaching Spain, blood and religion lost definitely their bond and the idea now was nation = state. And by Romantic nationalist standards, Basques were in fact a nation - own history, own laws, own language, own symbols, own culture, etc - as opposed to Spaniards, but we hadn't our own state.
This coincided with the Carlist wars where Basque people supported the losing side against the queen of Spain, which meant that the super good relationship between Basques and Spanish royalty that had lasted centuries came to an end. The Spanish court banned our old laws in punishment, what made things worse and Basque monarchists turned to Basque nationalism. Laws against our language began to be approved more regularly, which didn't help at all, and it was the perfect storm that put Basque burgeoisie and Spanish monarchy in irreconcilable sides.
Then Spanish Civil War happened, and the dictatorship, and throughout these times Basque people were mistreated and rebellious and a pain in the ass, and then ETA rised, and things went eeeeven worse, and now we're here.
So in short - and eskerrik asko for reading this neverending post - Ultra Spanish nationalists don't hate us because we're unpure blood, they basically hate us because Basque nationalists claim we're not Spaniards. Some take it as if we think we're better than the rest and live in a lie since we ARE Spaniards, and we're terrorists that kill moved by lies; some take it as an actual difference, yes, but one that should be erased and advocate for killing Basque language and culture, because they have brought nothing but violence; and some of them just are bitter because they have no power here and they can't be in power and steal at will (we have PNV for that, but you know, Spanish nationalists want their piece of the cake too).

Some beautiful responses, Islam is anti women, and the truth will come to light.
The “awrah” in Islam is the shameful parts of the body that must be covered from public view. The awrah for women is always huge expanses of her body in every school of Islamic thought, while the man only needs to cover knees to navel. He can exist freely.
Female oppression is sex based oppression, in every culture.

My experience and personal view on veiling as someone who grew up under a Burqa
When I was born, my father didn’t want me because I was a girl. When a girl is born, she isn’t cherished like a boy. Your life is received as a deadweight (note: I’m not saying this is something that happens every single time, just most of them) and a disappointment by the family. When your first breath comes in, the honor is on your shoulders.
My parents were so disappointed they gave me up to my aunt and uncle until I was one year old. When I was three, my father tried to sell/promise me into marriage. My grandmother, his mother, was the one who intervened and stopped him from doing it.
As I grew up, I noticed clear differences between me and girls from less conservative families, but everything was relatively normal until I hit nine years old. When it happened, I suddenly stopped traveling with my parents, stopped being able to leave the curtains open, couldn’t wear the clothes I used to wear even though I was still a child… as I grew older and older, the restrictions increased as my uncle and my father said I was becoming a beautiful woman and “I would be a problem for their family”.
Then, when I noticed, I wasn’t allowed to appear on windows, get packages from the mailman, go out in the yard, have a phone, stay alone in my room, talk to men (even if it was something as trivial as buying groceries), going out alone, needing to looking down when men walk past you, stay in your room when there’s visitors and don’t make a noise so they can’t hear you, not speak too loudly either, not share your name… the list is endless.
And, when you grow up inside a such conservative, traditional and religious family, your only future is disappearing. Along with having no voice and no face, servitude is as inescapable as death.
Tumblr media
When you’re under a piece of cloth, you become faceless, you have no identity of your own. Outside the house, you’re a ghost. Inside the house, you’re a servant. You have no choice over yourself. This is your identity, a servant ghost who’s screams people pretend not to hear.
To a certain level, when you try to reflect on it, the veiling can be comforting. Being invisible can be comforting, no one sees you, you don’t need to worry about a thing. You can hide all your thoughts and most shameful actions from the daylight and no one is going to find out about them. But, when you are under the veil, your identity becomes something only you know about. To the rest of the world, you don’t exist, you’re not human. The veil will slowly dehumanize you, you will start fading away and there’s nothing you can do about it because how can someone attribute a face to a piece of fabric with a mesh on eye level?
And don’t fool yourself, the longer you keep your veil on, the harder the expectations will be. You may only need to cover now, but in some time, they will ask you why are your toes showing and why are you not hiding your hands behind the veil too, and why are you even outside your house? You should be home, protecting your family’s honor, you’re disgracing your family, go home.
And you may think “I’m invisible to the outside world but in my house I’m irreplaceable”, are you? How irreplaceable will you be when a younger, better wife comes in and the only safety you may have is the idea that your children will grow up to take care of you? How would someone possibly feel bad for you when you are nothing but a black trashbag? If you become a beggar, how will they see the suffering on your face if it will be covered and hidden away from the world?
I can’t be hypocritical and say that I don’t feel a sense of security under the veil, but it’s a false sense of security. When the time for your death comes, you won’t have your name on your grave, you won’t have a face. All you will ever have been is a servant, invisible to the outside world, with no God above to wonder “what about her?”. How dear are you inside those walls?

I really find it interesting how Zionists have no issues constantly using words like "Islamic" or "Islamist" or "jihadist" to describe the people they're killing without any fear of being accused of Islamophobia or that they're being bigots.
Because they know that we live in a world where anything or anyone remotely "Muslim" are automatically portrayed as inherently evil and deserving of death, especially in the US and other Western countries where Israel gets most of its support from them. So therefore, no one can be mad at them for killing all of these people, right? After all, they're only killing scary radical "Islamists" and "jihadists," NOT innocent people.
Meanwhile you would never hear any pro-Palestine people calling IDF soldiers "Jewists" or "Jewish extremists," even when they're literally branding the star of David onto Palestinians' faces and houses, instead we have to be very careful to not associate Judaism with Israel's crimes and are obligated to write a long essay about how we in fact do NOT want to kill every Jew in the world before we're allowed to show a shred of sympathy toward the thousands of Palestinian civilians being murdered as we are speaking.
Yet somehow that's not enough and they still hit us with the "when you say Zionists you actually mean Jews!" all while ignoring how they themselves aren't putting any effort into not demonizing Islam and Muslims with their words, because demonizing Islam and Muslims isn't an issue to them and the only way they can justify all the killing they're doing.

Understand that men and women are fundamentally the same. They were treated as such in our pre-civilization hunter-gatherer societies. The issue rests in the rise of imperialism, around 12,000 years ago or earlier. As many civilizations have pillaged and colonized other tribes seeking to hold ownership over them and have executive control, men seek to have executive control over the resource women possess.
As a class, we (women) generally have the ability to give birth, and can be widely expected to have this ability at some point in our lives. Childbirth is a fundamental resource, necessary for the multigenerational survival of a group. Like imperialists, men imperialize upon women, the owners of the childbirth resource, in order to control it.
In fact, for an imperial force to go out and oppress other tribes and societies, they must imperialize themselves, wherein the men imperialize upon women. They must wake up and go to sleep in imperialism. They must etch it into the folds of their brains, and convince themselves this is the natural order of humanity.
This imperialism is a patriarchy. Where women are subdued and silenced in totality, their names barely kept in the records, all treated like a resource. To further the subjugation and harden the chains, they use rape, beating, economic exclusion, verbal violence, and many other forms to keep women below them.
As such, for the past 12,000 years, men's very identities have moulded themselves around the oppression of women. Men implicitly and explicitly know they do not have the childbearing, baby-feeding, resource; they can only activate the former. This creates an envy.
Though men would seldom like to be impregnated and carry a child for themselves, the fact that the childbearing resource is in the body of an animate human, a woman, rather than belonging to men, or available in an inanimate harvest, is where the envy lies. The day when a man felt he wished for birth to be harvestable, rather than blessed upon him (likely the day he wished for food to be harvestable, rather than for nature to bless it upon him), is the day the envy became (perceivedly) insurmountable.
Envy causes insecurity, and insecurity causes vapidity. Vapidity harms the ego, ego of which instilled into us long ago as single-celled organisms, as ego is hand-in-hand with self preservation. The ego is the end result of the identity, and a harmed ego is a harmed identity.
Instead of to backtrack along the source of this harm, the men chose to overcompensate for their harmed identity. Instead of exist with a piece missing, and to realize the root of their bruised ego is the viewing of birth as a commodity to be harvested, they solidified birth's commodity status by lording themselves over women.
Men live in a fake identity. Their concept of self is centered around women, however instead of looking up to women, they look down upon us. They look upon women with disdain, apply pain, suffering, and create religions saying the creator of the universe intended this suffering to be so.
They created a code of conduct for themselves; masculinity, to compensate for lack of identity, and created it to be in opposition to whatever woman was. They created a code of conduct for women; femininity, and created it to embody subjugation and enslavement. They brainwashed us and themselves to believe femininity is inherent to womanhood, and to believe masculinity is inherent to manhood.
Open your eyes to the men who cry "misandry," as you will see what they consider misandry is an attack on their identity, and their identity is misogyny. As such, it can only be reasonable to be misandristic, insofar as one's misandry is an attack on misogyny, and every branch of same.

Islam is the most misogynistic religion on earth. It’s the most oppressive cult for women among all abrahamic religions. Women can’t get out of their house. Women have to hide themselves in black tents they wear from head to toe. Women can’t even show one strand of hair. Check out the comments under any Pakistani female celebrity’s post and you will be disgusted. Women get attacked by religious bigots even for wearing half-sleeves. Women can’t initiate divorce easily and a lot of them are stuck in abusive marriages. Women are supposed to obey their husbands and can’t deny sex or they will be cursed by their god. Marital rape is allowed and encouraged in islam. Parents’ inheritance is not divided equally between brothers and sisters because women are expected to get married and rely financially on their husbands. Only men can be authority figures and be leaders, women are supposed to be quiet and submissive. Their prophet (idol) was literally a fuckin pedo. And these are just a few examples of how women are treated in islam. I don’t get how these dumbass muslim women still find the audacity to say shit like 'iSlAm iS tHe mOst peAceFul rEligIoN and tHe mOst fEmiNistic religion cAusE iT gAve wOmEn tHeIr rIgHts 1400 yeaRs aGo' what right?? Where’s the right lol?? All i see is oppression and violence in your religion. You can’t even give your opinion without some man’s permission but because his money is your money and your money is also yours you think islam fulfilled all your desires. It’s true that the more religious a person is, the more narrow-minded they are but muslim women have crossed all limits of stupidity. So glad i cut off such people from my life and saved one woman from converting to islam. ☪️ancer religion!!

Islam is the blueprint misogynist, all encompassing attack to destroy a woman’s soul:
Dehumanizing her, degrading her, blaming her, silencing her, isolating her… until nothing is left but loneliness, self hatred, fear and sadness …
I hate this religion, and won’t ever shut up about it!

Throw rocks at me, but most if not all of the gender violence in Central Asia and Caucasus is due to religious reasons. Islam wasn’t “domesticated” and “tamed” like Christianity was.
Islam is still stuck on the same single day it was created and multiple issues women face in Central Asia, Southeast Asia, Middle East and Africa are due to islamization. You can see all the same issues repeating themselves in different places with different cultures and languages simply because people are screaming the name of a foreign God and abandoning their identities to try to mimic 600a.D Quraish culture.
Those habits have no place nowadays and need to be abandoned. For example:
Tumblr media
Before the islamification of the region, when the Vainakh religion was predominant, women held big influence within their families and communities. The Vainakh customs, known as ʿadat, granted the roles and rights of women that included right for inheritance, property ownership, and under the ʿadat, women had certain legal protections. They could seek justice and were entitled to fair treatment in disputes.
Now, we have FGM.
