Every time the left claims that radical feminism is a right-wing movement, it reminds me of Olympe de Gouges, a French activist for women’s rights alive during the period of the French Revolution.

In 1791 she published the “Declaration of the Rights of Woman and of the Female Citizen” - in response to the “Declaration of the Rights of Man and of the Citizen” - to criticise male authority and advocate for women’s rights.

Two years later, she was arrested and executed by the Revolutionary government, under the accusation of treason. She was killed for criticising the hypocrisy of the leftist, poor and oppressed men of the revolution.

Left or right, radical or not, men simply hate us.

Any revolution that isn’t female-centered and female-led will bring us no liberation.

Use some of your time to talk with the women in your life about female liberation, exchange ideas and encourage each other’s curiosity

One feature I love about thriller and horror movies is that the husband is always an asshole. He dismisses his wife’s fears as hysterical paranoia, refuses to believe his children seeing ghosts or demons, insists on staying or venturing into dangerous situations. Little by little his wife’s trepidations and boundaries will be broken through, guaranteeing everyone’s annihilation.

It’s such an amazingly unintentional feminist critique of the nuclear family’s structure. The man has the authority, and when all is well, women sit comfortably in this role. But when something is wrong, and danger is afoot, whether a home invasion, paranormal spirit, anything… the role is seen for the prison it is.

i grew up in an incredibly strict christian environment and have had almost the same experience....there was a little girl i loved so much, and we were so free and happy and wild together in the midst of so much violent cruelty and woman-hating. and now i'm the loner weirdo feminist who escaped and she's married and pregnant and completely cut off from me. and i dream of going back for her every day. i can't believe how similar patriarchy is everywhere. but at least that means there are lots of women who understand me, even if we grew up speaking different languages and thousands of miles apart.

Female class consciousness is growing, and I have so much hope for a powerful force of women changing the course of history forever. We already are gaining more economic resources, taking over academia, and advancing our collective voices in media.

Hey. So I'm here caught in the crossfire.

I'm 16F studying for an exam and I really like a teacher who isn't physically attractive but I like his humor and wit.

I am a febfem and a radfem seperatist and don't plan on dating men (gone 4B). But I have got this weird fantasy of hooking up with and being in a relatioship (ofc after I turn 18).

I have been obsessed with this guy. I literally can't focus on my exams. What I even fantasise is having an affair with him (he's married with 2 kids).

I think all men are bad and not worth it but I don't know why I keep fantasising about him all day.

lol girl, first of all, it’s very normal for a teenager to have a crush on her teacher. Don’t feel ashamed of your feelings and just know it’s a typical part of growing up. I had a crush on some teachers too. It’s very common because they are the first adults we interact with that are not our family. And kinda similar to how patients often develop crushes on therapists, we also feel encouraged from the guidance they give us, and develop romantic feelings. You’re also going through crazy hormonal changes rn, and every feeling is heightened to the max.

You will outgrow it! Don’t act on anything and just let time pass, you’ll see. Ik you’re reading that and thinking “I absolutely will not outgrow it, she doesn’t understand how deeply in love I feel..” but trust me, I do! I’ve been there. Now that I’m in my early twenties, I look back on my crushes and romances and how dramatic and crazy I felt as a teenager… it’s literally all just the hormones and puberty lol. Trust me, you’re gonna look back and laugh, and think “girl, it was never that serious 🤣”

And btw I don’t say this to try to condescend, I’m just talking to the younger version of myself! I been through it all, trust me! My advice is to keep a journal at this time and write down all your feelings. Your future self is gonna laugh so hard and thank you, and your present self is gonna feel better expressing her emotions and articulating her thoughts. Do it! I wish I journaled my feelings more because the few entries I did do… I’m like, girl, the puberty was goin crazy at this time 😅
