3 Inch AU

Prequel to this post

Zuko rubbed his aching eyes, praying what he thought just happened didn't. That a bright light did not flash in the middle of his and Azula's spar leaving his body sore and head aching.

He forced himself to open his eyes and found himself in the middle of a strange spirit forest. Great. First the body switch fiasco now this! Why were there so many spirits hanging around the palace?!

"Nice going dum-dum." Azula spat. "You angered the spirits again!"

"Again?! That was your fault! Both times!!!"

"As I recall, no one knows what angered the last one, but you pushed me onto this spirit and now we're 3 inches tall!!!"

"What?!" Zuko shot up.

Azula pushed the vegetation back revealing an oversized throwing star Mai gifted her. The very one Zuko knocked out of her hand when their spar turned into a messy free for all.

Zuko's heart sank.

"Like I said, 3 inches tall. Thanks a lot."

"None of this is my fa-"

A shadow fell over them seconds before a huge bird swooped down. The siblings barely had time to jump out of the way as the bird snatched up the throwing star. The two shared a frightened look. They had to get out of the garden or they'll surely be next.

A brief silent truce was formed as Zuko and Azula began the trek. Thankfully, they were relativity close to the walkway before they were shrunken. After scaling the huge steps, the ground trembled as a massive figure in deep red robes passed by. The siblings gasped.

"DAD! HELP US!"

"WAIT! DOWN HERE!"

They quickly chased after him, but it was no use. Ozai tuned out their now shrunken voices, assuming it was a chorus of summer insects. And there was no possible chance of the siblings catching up to him on foot.

Azula grabbed Zuko's wrist. "Agni's Arrow!"

Zuko skidded to a stop then spun his sister around. Azula produced fire jets from her feet to build momentum. After counting to three, Zuko released her. Azula shot through the air at breakneck speed straight towards her father.

This better work for they were both done for.

The palace was quiet. Too quiet.

That alone put Ozai on edge. He swore he heard his children out by the garden earlier. It was just another sibling spat but when he decided to check on them, the garden was empty.

A part of Ozai hoped the children settled things on their own and left without a big fuss. The rest of Ozai knew that was wishful thinking. So, he walked the perimeter just to be sure.

Ozai let out an annoyed sigh. The humming bees were a lot louder today. He'll have to talk to the groundskeeper about that least they overrun the whole garden.

Something landed on his shoulder. Ozai tsked and brushed it away. It seemed the infestation already began.

"Dad!!!"

Ozai stopped dead in his tracks.

"Azula?"

It was so faint. Maybe he was hearing things.

"Down here! Hurry!"

A small blue flame shot from his arm. Ozai glanced down and saw his daughter dangling from his sleeve.

"What the-"

Ozai quickly scooped her into his palm before she lost her grip.

"A-Azula?" Ozai gaped at his now tiny daughter trying to get her bearings. "What... how...?"

His eyes widened. If Azula was like this then...

"Where's Zuko?!"

Ozai lifted his feet as horror gripped him. Cool relief washed over him when he spotted a small figure running towards him.

"Dad!"

Ozai knelt down and lowered his hand for Zuko to climb onto. Now that his children were safe, Ozai calmed down enough for his mind to piece together what happened.

"Don't tell me-"

"Spirits." the siblings answered at the same time.

Ozai groaned. "Not again."

I have a lot -- a lot a lot a LOT -- of WIPs that will be completed in 2024, so please don't think of this as an exhaustive list, but they are the ones I'm most excited for:

A Practical Arrangement - @clottedcreamfudge has Devised A Punishment if I don't get chapter two out for y'all by Christmas because my usual methods of pushing past my brain bullshit weren't working, so technically this is a 2023 project 🤣 @ships-to-sail and @celeritas2997 have the carrot and CCF has the stick.

Anastasia AU!!! I LOVE this fic and I think it's in the 'meaty one-shot' range buuuuuut we'll see. It might get a little out of control.

Angstapalooza RWRB edition - this is gonna be another long fic, 10-11 chapters, 50k words ish, and I cannot WAIT to make y'all cry sink my teeth into it. My Schitt's Creeks babes know what happens when I deem something 'angstapalooza' lmao.

Hockey Boyfriend Henry part 3, aka the whole reason I started writing the fucking series in the first place lmao

Leverage AU, which I haven't shared anything of yet because it's a post-angstapalooza longfic but I am VERY HYPE FOR.

DIRECTOR'S CUT ON COMMIT TO THE BIT but only like the first two chapters i am so far behind 😭

girl I wish I had been as productive as you think i've been 😭 there's only two chapters so far-

(But, hey, good news! Chapter three is verging ever closer to probably being done! And it's only taken me about... eight months... hahaha *dies on the inside*)

Anyway, i'll do what I did with the other ask and just go through it and talk about stuff!

Okay, so this fic was originally called "The Con" because it involved winning a lot more bets via subterfuge and holding hands. That changed and so I renamed it!

Oh yeah! And so, this fic was partly inspired by the song Summer Nights from Grease, where the guys and girls are enthusiastically listening to completely different stories of the same event. I flipped it around so they had completely different reactions to the same story and Sabine and Ezra were very UNenthusiastic and that was what the scenes with their friends were based on!

Aylan (the vostress kid) definitely heard some obitine stories from his dad and finds the parallels very amusing.

I know i've said it a few times before, but it always delights me to mention that the three Togruta sisters (Chisica, Am-lee, and Khenna) are based on me and my sisters.

OHHH fun fact! Originally the conversation where they split up the profits from the bet and the conversation where Sabine brought up fake-dating were two different conversations! The first one was as-is in the fic, but the other one happened like a week later when Sabine was hanging out in a tree coral with some of the girls and watching Ezra doing lightsaber forms and maybe drawing him shirtless a little bit and they hype her up to "ask him out again" and she goes over and interrupts him and they end up having the fake-dating idea conversation while he's not wearing a shirt and she's blatantly checking him out (and at one point actually half-reaches-out to touch his abs before she catches herself) and he's just "????" the whole time. It was funny, but I decided it was too early in the (fake) relationship for her to be so obvious about it, and I needed Fenn Rau to overhear the conversation and that was easier if they were on the Ghost, so I combined the scenes.

Oh also! Originally, both Vinn AND Tarik were gonna get kicked out of the friend group for being nasty but then I decided to make Tarik less nasty and give him a redemption arc.

The post-stargazing scene! So, I had to keep dialing things back because my shippy writer brain was moving their relationship ahead WAY faster than it was supposed to go. For example, in this scene, originally, they were going to share Sabine's bunk and definitely not cuddle or anything, it won't be weird at all, but again--just too soon. I made up for it with excessive cuddles in the end of the chapter & in chapter 2.

KATKA CAMEO!! Ok so for those who don't know---katka is an OC from my Teenage Rebellion AU. She's Gar Saxon's niece but she's utter sweetness (with a slight twist of crazy) and totally on board to stick it to the Empire. In the TRAU, she also has a massive raging crush on Ezra (albeit an Inquisitor iteration of him), so when I needed a random character to be envious of Sabine here, I figured I'd reuse her lol.

Oh yeah! Another condensed scene! Where she tells him about the Mandalorian ways of saying "I love you" and where she asks him to fake marry her used to be two different scenes! Like with the other one, I added the second one to the first. I went through a few versions of the fake-marriage-proposal, including one where Aylan came along with Ezra to Mandalore and was the one to suggest they tie the knot, apparently unaware it's all fake (but actually 100% aware it's all fake because his psychometry revealed it)

not to brag or anything but "Ezra did not regret fake-marrying into money" is one of my favorite lines i've ever written.

(btw, I still crack up when I remember that in your comment on chapter 1, you called Ezra a repressed victorian maiden for panicking over being able to see sabine's arms and legs. and I think everyone should know that You Are Right, Ezra Is A Repressed Victorian Maiden.)

OK ON TO CHAPTER 2!

i had so much fun with this chapter because they're both full to bursting with love for each other and neither of them will admit it until the last possible moment. I think that might actually be why Chapter 3 is taking so long--they're not hiding their feelings anymore so there's no more poetic internal monologues about how much they adore each other lol

Ah yeah on the topic of repressed feelings--the line "Kanan is fairly sure it’ll take at least five years and possibly a child for Sabine to admit that she’s actually in love with her husband" was supposed to actually be what happened. Sabine and Ezra were going to go on pretending the marriage was fake for years and finally one night when they were cuddled up, Sabine blurted out that she was in love with him and he was like "Yeah. I know." and she was like "wait what?? how did you know?? I was so subtle about my feelings!!" and he was like "Sabine, you kissed me good-night ten minutes ago. you're constantly calling me extremely romantic pet names in mando'a. we have two children and only one of them is adopted. your feelings are about as subtle as a paint bomb to the face." and she was just like "....oh." and then that was the end of the story! BUUUUT then I decided to do a love confession during the Lothal arc, and that led to the... surprise... at the end of chapter 2, which led to there needing to be a THIRD chapter!

OH HAHA OK MORE FUNNY STUFF. So the part with sabine's nightmare that leads to the "two besties chilling in a bathtub...?" scene was ALSO split up into two different events! I've been thinking about doing some edits of both chapters of CttB because I didn't really stop to edit either of them before posting (and a good chunk of chapter 2 was literally written the day before I posted it), which I mention because I was considering reverting the two scenes back to their original versions because the og tub scene was pretty funny. It's hard to describe in brief words, but basically... yeah it's too hard to describe, just take my word for it, it was pretty funny. (it involved Ezra singing along to We Are Never Ever Getting Back Together with a shampoo bottle for a microphone and Tristan playing a petty revenge prank that goes sideways.)

The cut between Ezra worrying about Sabine being upset about his feelings for her and thinking "what would she think if she knew??", and sabine's pov opening with "Sabine can't stop thinking about kissing his stupid face" never fails to make me snicker.

Oh hey I just got to the thrawn pov and that reminds me. at one point I was thinking about having a scene including Ezra and Thrawn's conversation aboard the Chimaera and thrawn REAAAALLLY pushes his buttons about Sabine, using the information that he figured out about their marriage. Actually, if I do that edit, I might write that scene.

Poor Hera--she keeps unintentionally being responsible for all of the sabezra relationship development lol.

OOH SOMETHING ELSE! So, originally, the love confession was WAY different. First of all, it wasn't in their room--it was in one of the caves. Sabine still went looking for Ezra, but she found him by following a Loth-wolf. And he actually confessed his feelings first! In this version, he was afraid he was going to die and impulsively blurted out that he loved her. Then he got nervous and started rambling a little and she shut him up with a kiss. But I changed it--I wanted her to be the one to take the leap and 'fess up, and if I set it in her room, I could have the funny Ketsu scene afterwards.

And then True Love's Kiss woke someone else up! (aka kanan got yoinked out of his comatose state by telepathic TMI)

oh yeah and to anyone wondering, that "another dawn breaks" line from the Kanera scene was ABSOLUTELY a reference to A New Dawn.

Oh and that Ketsu scene---that was actually a scene I saved and reused after cutting it from a different WIP of mine! There were two variations--the one I ended up using, and one where she accidentally interrupts the very first kiss and they're both like "OH COME ON!" because they've been waiting for this moment FOREVER and like ten seconds in, it gets interrupted, and Ezra decides that, darn it, he's been waiting for this for so long, he's not going to wait any longer! and he just pulls Sabine right back into the kiss and uses the Force to shut the door in Ketsu's face. I did this version so that I could include dialogue!

I'm just now realizing that I actually skipped over the entirety of Family Reunion and Farewell, I went straight from Jedi Night to Happy-Ever-After. But in my defense, plot-relevant episodes don't matter much when it comes to crack fix-it fics.

“I don’t think you fit the profile we’re looking for. We’ll contact you if we have any openings that fit your profile. The opportunity once again slipped through my fingers, like every other interview before. I thank them for the opportunity, even if I know I’ll never hear from them again. What else is left?

I pull out my wallet as I make my way out of the building, grazing the worn-out leather, silently praying to find a stray bill, but I have to be honest with myself, so I put one foot in front of the other, bracing myself for the long way home. How many days before I get another call from my landlord?

A sharp pang at my temples momentarily stops me. Dehydration, hunger, or stress—take your pick. The city surrounds me as my thoughts whirl like a tornado inside my head full of doubt and disappointment.

Just as I’m resigning myself, a wet droplet hits my forehead, bringing me back to reality. No, please, anything but rain. I don’t care if I get wet, as long as my backpack doesn’t, because then it’ll be over, and I refuse to allow that to happen. With a knot in my stomach, I hug my backpack, as if my embrace can shield it.

Scanning the buildings around me reveals no places to hide; all I see are apartment buildings. I quicken my pace, every footstep a desperate attempt to outrace the impending storm. The rhythm of my steps accelerates in sync with my pounding heart. I know I'm unlikely to outrun the rain, but desperation fuels me. I can’t stop.

Blocks blur into one another, and I lose all sense of direction as the cold water begins to penetrate every layer of clothing I’m wearing. My backpack now betrays me as the water seeps through the thin fabric.

"No, please, no," I mutter to myself, a plea to the universe for mercy. Haven’t I gone through enough already? My legs carry me faster, aimlessly, and relentlessly. I need to find a place to wait it out; it’s obvious I’m never going to be fast enough.

Yet coherent thoughts evade me as I struggle to escape this residential area. My brain can only focus on the frantic rhythm of my footsteps and the relentless pain coursing through my legs. Exhaustion looms, and I pray my legs won't betray me.

At a crossroads, I make an impulsive turn, my brain too muddled to strategize a way out of there. My legs, straining and aching, drive me onward. The pain sharpens, increasing with each step. I'm on the brink of giving up, but I refuse to, not without a fight.

And then, as though the heavens are unleashing on me, a torrential downpour forces me to pause. Lost and disoriented, I fail to identify where I’m at. Is this the end? Is everything I've worked for reduced to ruin? Tears well up, my heart rate quickens, and my mind races to find a solution.

I’m all out of ideas.

I’m about to accept defeat.

This is it.

It’s over.

I'm out of ideas; it now seems inevitable, so I brace myself to accept defeat. But just as I'm about to surrender and abandon all hope, a voice slices through the sound of the rain hitting the pavement.

“Hey!” 

I squint in confusion, searching for the source of the voice. I take a couple of steps forward. Am I following a random voice that might not even be talking to me?

“HEEEY!”

Getting a clearer sense of where the mysterious voice is coming from, I turn my head toward it and continue walking in that direction.

“DOWN HERE!”

I home in on the direction where a man peeks from a blue door at the bottom of a flight of stairs. "COME ON!" he urges, making eye contact with me. Without hesitation, I descend the stairs and follow him through the door.

Once inside, my legs finally give in. Without a moment's hesitation, I rummage through my backpack. "Please, please, don't let anything be ruined," I mutter frantically.

The sound of the door closing behind me reaches my ears, and I hear footsteps approaching. A pair of black dress shoes enters my field of vision, and I glance up to find the man offering his hand. "I'm Sanji," he says with a warm smile. I grasp his hand as he helps me to my feet, and I realize he's a couple of inches taller than me, forcing me to raise my eyes a little to meet his.

I offer my name, "Zoro." After a moment of silence, I add, "Thanks. You saved me."

"Well, Zoro, feel free to wait out the rain here. Let me clear you a table," Sanji suggests, moving to tidy up a nearby table filled with dirty dishes.

I take the opportunity to survey my surroundings. What lay beyond that mysterious underground door was unexpected. It was a cozy, dimly lit restaurant, with only a few tables against the wall, cluttered with used dishes and glasses. There were no customers, and a simple bar separated the tables from the kitchen. The mouthwatering aroma that enveloped the place left me speechless.

As I pull out a chair to sit, a wave of relief washes over me, but I can't relax just yet. "By the way you were holding your backpack, I'm guessing you have something in there you don't want to get wet," Sanji observes, moving behind the bar.

My instincts urge me to stay alert, even though Sanji seems genuine in his intention to help. I promise myself I'll leave as soon as the rain subsides, positioning my chair to keep an eye on both the exit and Sanji in the kitchen.

I start taking everything out of my backpack. My laptop appears to have survived, but my sketchbook is, as expected, a casualty of the rain. I toss it aside with an exasperated "Goddammit."

Shoulders slumping, I rest my head on the table, feeling the cool wood against my skin. "So... everything fine?" Sanji's voice calls from the kitchen, followed by the sound of a knife being sharpened.

"Sort of," I mumble against the table, turning my head to make sure he can hear me better. "My laptop's fine. In the end, that's all that matters, I guess." A yawn overcomes me, followed by a sleepy "Thanks," and then, "For everything. I mean it. You're the reason this wasn't a bigger loss."

"No problem. I try to help out whenever I can," Sanji replies, focusing on his kitchen duties. I close my eyes, allowing the soothing sound of raindrops on the door to lull me into a sense of calm.

I must have drifted into a light slumber because the next thing I hear is the clink of glass hitting the wooden table near my ear. "Sorry for waking you. I thought you might be thirsty," Sanji says, kneeling beside me. When I raise my head from the table, I feel something slipping from my shoulders. Instinctively, I reach out to keep it in place. It's Sanji's suit jacket; he's used it to shield me from the cold.

"These are pretty good," Sanji remarks, holding my sketchbook with some of my drawings on top. "I didn't mean to look; I'm sorry, but they were sort of all over my floor."

"Oh my god, I'm so sorry about that. I didn't mean to drop them," I stammer, getting up on shaky legs and trying to conceal the pain in my voice, but a crack gives it away, as I say. "But yeah, they're all ruined now."

Sanji gestures toward a small door. "Bathroom's through there." He retrieves my sketchbook and starts moving toward the kitchen. "Dinner will be ready in ten."

"Um, what?" I sputter in surprise.

"Wash your hands, I mean,” I leave his jacket on the back of the chair and start walking to the bathroom. “You were cold,” he says as a way of explanation, sounding apologetic. I turn around and smile at him warmly to let him know I greatly appreciate the gesture.

After washing my hands, I use the cold water to splash my face, attempting to shake off the drowsiness. I run a damp hand through my hair to see that it did nothing to lessen how much of a mess I look like right now, with strands of green hair flowing everywhere. When I return, I ask, "Do you need help with anything?"

"Just don’t get in my way," Sanji replies. His movements in the kitchen are mesmerizing. He's in his element, handling multiple tasks gracefully, unlike my usual chaotic attempts at cooking.

“I can do that,” I offer, leaning on the bar to watch him work. Sanji continues to cook, and I feel lost observing his culinary expertise. "So, is this your restaurant?".

"It is. I've been running it for two years now," he reveals, seemingly thriving with the number of dishes on the tables when I arrived. He had a full house on a Tuesday. By the looks of it, the restaurant is doing just fine.

"Here, take these," he says, handing me silverware and glasses. I do my best to set an empty table, making it look as pretty as I can. My contribution may be small, but I want it to be just right.

"So, do you usually run frantically in the rain without an umbrella?" Sanji asks, trying to make conversation.

Sanji chuckles, turning to smile at me. "Only this one."

"I don't plan on making a habit out of it, no," I reply. "Do you usually invite random men off the street into your restaurant?"

The sound of clinking plates fills the air, and Sanji returns with two dishes. "Hope you like salmon, Zoro," he says. The aroma of the freshly cooked meal fills the restaurant, and I can't help but smile.

hello, i saw an ask were someone asked you if you thought tails ever attempted to find his parents and it made me wonder if you ever thought of a scenario were tails father had no idea he even existed or he was led to believe by tails mother that she gave him away and he couldn't find him?

Okay I read when you sent it and been thinking about this one for the whole time. Sorry for the late reply but my sister had her baby so things have been busy.

But moving on from personal stuff, I love this idea but I'm gonna take it a step darker....what if Tails' mother told his father that Tails tragically died.

So going into my take of an AU for this here and it's gonna be long so putting it under the cut

So what if Tails' mother was actually from an influential family or something or they both are. But image is VERY important to her. So when she had Tails with his two...well..tails she was immediately not okay with this cause (spongebob mocking voice) "whAt WoulD oThEr peOpLe tHInK." So Tails' mom starts-a-plotting.

So while Tails is still a baby or like at least like a one year old, she goes on a trip with just her and Tails. So during this "trip" she tragically "loses" Tails and she goes crying home that he died in like a storm or an Eggman attack or something. In reality she legit just left him in a random forest on West Side Island.

So without a body Tails' father looks for him but tiny little guy in a big world and his mom purposely telling him the wrong area means 0% chance of finding baby Tails.

Years then go by and Tails and Sonic start gaining notoriety for their shenanigans and their adventures get back to Tails' parents sphere of influence.

Now obviously they can't 100% confirm that this Tails is their kid but like how many two tailed foxes can there be??? So Tails' father is pretty gun-ho of tracking down Tails just to like at least see if he's maybe their long lost kid, but his mom uses the excuse of she's still so "upset" and "traumatized" from losing him that she doesn't think they should go cause "What if it's not him?! She couldn't possibly handle loosing her baby a second time!!!" (cue fake tears worthy of an Emmy). But the whole time she's like internal sweating like "oh fuck what if he finds out that's our kid and I actually straight up abandoned him!!"

She manages to delay a trip for them to find and talk to Tails for a while but eventually Tails' father just goes and tries to track him down himself.

Side note 1) - I'm thinking that Tails' parents didn't have another kid because while his mom claims it's from the trauma of losing her first baby it's really because after her first kid came out with what she believes to be a deformity she's scared a second one would too. So no surprise siblings for Tails (though that would also be interesting to explore - I ain't got the brain capacity for that in this particular post)

Side note 2) - it would be interesting if during her stalling time she hires people to try and either straight up kill Tails or just someone who would fake the paternity tests to say Tails is not their kid. Maybe both???? You know what yeah why not both.

I feel like a hitman going after Tails would be interesting though cause I'm always a sucker for protective older brother Sonic and you can bet that it would be in overdrive if someone goes after Tails with the express purpose of killing him.

So while Sonic and Co. are fighting off hired hitman and trying to figure out who sent them, this random ass guy shows up claiming to possibly be Tails' father. Immediate alarm bells start going off in all their brains (double for Sonic if you include the SAT-AM cartoon episode where Eggman legit made fake parents claiming Tails is their lost kid for the express purpose of kidnapping him).

So they all start looking into this guy and actually do go through with a paternity test. And surprises of surprises when it come back positive. They then proceed to do it 5-8 more times with different Drs (or whoever does this idk) to make sure he ain't faking it somehow. But nope turns out that yep this is Tails' real dad who is saying he's been looking for him this whole time. (press X for doubt from Sonic and Tails)

But when Tails' father starts explaining his side of the story including where Tails' mother claims to have lost Tails. Tails and Sonic are immediately suspicious cause where his mother told his father he was lost is basically on the other side of the planet from West Side where Sonic found him.

They reiterate this to Tails father, who they are still suspicious of that's he's lying but they trying to figure out what's real and not from what he's saying. And the man is confused cause lookin at a map he also knows 2 + 2 ain't equaling 4 between their two stories.

Cue all them deciding to go to Tails' mother to see what she says from her side of things. The whole time still having to fight off various hitman cause they still coming.

They get to Tails' parents home town and Tails' mom immediately plays up the "oh woa is me, I don't want to get attached until I know he's really my baby." And at this point she's at the top of everyone's (but maybe the not the father's yet) list of being behind the hitman so no ones buying her bs.

So to try and catch her in her lie they ask to do the paternity tests with both of them (not telling her they've already run Tails' fathers multiple times with all positive results). And lo an behold, both come back negative. And she immediately tries to play the "oh how tragic you are not our kid, but best be on your way" but whoops the father reveals the like 6 positive tests he's already done so now she's caught in her own lie.

And idk where to go from here so if anyone want to "yes and" this post (or really any of mine) feel free. Just @ me so I can read them.

As I’m currently resting my wrist from drawing and I’m still thinking out more detailed story beats for WC I thought I’d just do some random rambling about my Pikmin au that won’t be very organized lol. Also adding a cut here as not to flood anyone’s unfortunate timeline

First off since I imagine I’ll get asked this someone someday, a small list of all the local losers preferences.

Olimar - Straight Cis. Doesn’t really get anything outside his bubble but is supportive regardless.

Louie - AroAce Cis (also has the tism). His only love is food.

Alph - GayDemi Cis. Likes love but not actively looking for it.

Brittany - GayDemi Cis. Her and Alph always laugh about the fact people think they’re dating just because they show physical affection to one another sometimes.

Charlie - Bi Cis. Koppite crew is literally the LGB.

Pom - Straight trans. You are not safe from Pingo propaganda.

Terry - Bi Cis. Probably doesn’t even know what being bi is and just thinks he has to make up his mind.

Penelope - Pan cis. Olimars shock when he found out when they were dating that she found girls cute too.

Zack - Pan trans. Saw he had 13 brothers and said wouldn't it be funny to have another.

Yorke - Straight cis. The most gay looking straight guy.

Nelle - Straight cis. to yorke "i hate you sm. wanna kiss"

Now thats done, some more stuff about just some general relationships people have with each other. Olimar and Louie when Louie first joined HF were pretty neutral about each other even after 4 but after 2 and deeply apologizing for leaving him behind scared, Louie and Olimar got much friendlier with each other. They started carpooling and even spending some time outside of work together. While Terry thinks Louie is cool if a bit strange sometimes, Lebe is rather more skeptical and scared of him. Penelope worries he might be a bad influence but can't help but worry about Louie as much as Olimar does when Oli vents to her about Louie.

Alph and Brittany are best friends but their relationship isnt the most balanced at times. Brittany is quite quick to getting emotional and blaming others for things. Alph tries not to hold it against her too much given hes aware of her issues and why she is like that in the first place but it can rub off on his timid nature. Though he admired Charlie all through 3, Brittany's negative comments eventually changed Alph's perception on Charlie to just being someone he works with.

Now some of my own world building brain rot wo! a time system, joy. I was just thinking about how do people keep time between every other planet so i propose: Galactic time. Galactic time is not based off anything but purely numbers. 1 "day" is 20 hours long and there is no PM or AM. Its based of a single founding clock that all the other galactic clocks follow now and is usually exclusively used for interstellar work and jobs or meeting up on different planets. The galactic months are all 25 days long with only 10 of them. a galactic week is 5 days long and though i don't have names at the moment the months and days also have different names as not to get confused with any planet names or calendars they might have.

This is a DN AU where Light never finds the DN. I will say it’s very heavy on mental illness and things like that, and ppl might find the content triggering so I would read with caution if this is the case for you. It’s a fanfic that I still think about to this day and that I’ve reread maybe 5 times in the last 14 yrs. Something about it rlly stuck with me and I still think about it all the time.

2) The Hinterland Doctrine aka Those Who Stand For Nothing Fall For Anything by Halfpromise both on ao3 and fanfiction.net

We all know where we were when this shit dropped lmfao. This is one of the most iconic death note/lawlight fanfics ever written and just so you’re aware, it’s almost 800,000 words. It has its own tv tropes article and everything 😂 I remember reading this fic in highschool and it had me fucked up in all sorts of ways. I’ve been thinking about rereading it bc I haven’t read it in years but I remember how much I loved it. It’s also an AU where Light is a politician, I’m not telling you anything else 🤫

this author…. This AUTHOR…. Nahhhhhh their writing makes me actually insane I’m serious. Me and my bestie kept sending their fics back and forth in our group chat and we were literally quoting the fics and going crazy until like 4am for multiple nights in a row 😂 see I’ll do it right now. This is a Katara x Aang long fic where they break up and eventually get back together. I rlly love this author and I’ve read most of their works. I recommend all their stuff, especially Midnight Meditations and Without Water which are both one shots I believe? Don’t quote me on that tho

The only other fics coming to my mind are fanfics that my friends have written. Like I said, I don’t rlly read too much fanfic these days and when I do read them, I am very selective and picky about it. I was also tryna see what that dynamic would be if eren has inherited like a company and is wealthy. i imagine mikasa and eren were maybe teens and were probably dating so like 16/17 and each others’ first loves, could be childhood best friends or met in hs either works! (meeting in hs could make this next part a bit easier tho actually)

i’d imagine mikasa has to move away, maybe like i said before if they met in hs, her family always moved a lot, maybe one of her parents’ jobs made them move, so basically they probably try to work things out but they’re young and a ldr just isn’t feasible at that age so eventually they lose touch over time

years later maybe like when eren and mikasa are like in their mid twenties this would probably be when they reconnect!! i think it could be angsty and fun if when eren or mikasa were in a relationship but it’s like about to end tbh lol and seeing the other is what really makes them wanna end things lol but it’s not necessary tbh 🤷🏽‍♀️

mikasa and armin stay friends, eren kind of does his own thing, makes new friends from his new school but he does always miss them but obviously he has to acclimate so he moves on

family business thing he starts working for their company once he graduates so he’d probably move back and armin and mikasa are there still

i think with this au it would be kind of funnier for them to meet again at somewhere random bc they wouldn’t be expecting it and it’s been soooo much longer and they were so much closer too

but then yes same thing basically it’s them reconnecting and seeing how they fit into one another’s lives again but also how they’ve changed and such and all of that

i’m sure these aren’t all that necessarily unique LOL but these are what my brain conjured at 1 am so i hope it helps a little at least!!

Hi, hello, I tried desperately hard to keep Hope on my multi but then to my literal amazement, this URL was free and I had a brain blast for a new verse, so I considered it a sign to bring my girl back. For anyone new, my old blog can be found @cursedbcrn.

For those of you who know me from my old blog, please keep in mind that I've updated my alias, which is now Arrow. Would appreciate everyone taking a skim of my rules on my carrd. They're largely unchanged from the prior iteration but there have been a couple updates.

This blog will be low activity and I mean it when I say that. I won't be nearly as active as I was on my prior blog and the emphasis on plotting will be even heavier now. I will not be doing meaningless fluff threads with Hope which means two things: 1) replies may take me longer to get to and 2) plotting is required or you run the risk of me dropping our muses in literal random peril (which in turn will take even longer to reply to).

Just because I follow you on another blog / followed you before, does not guarantee a follow this time. I will be narrowing my focus to people who are actively writing and plotting with me and Hope.

I have a new verse specifically for TVD/TO-era threads. I know Legacies is not to everyone's taste, and part of what I struggled with on my last blog was figuring out how to write with the amazing TVD muses in the community, without completely shooting anyone's story in the foot, and I hope I have figured out a way to do just that. If anyone is interested in plotting in that verse, or sees any glaring holes, I'm more than happy to delve deeper and hammer out details.

I also added a write up for my post canon verse. On the super duper rare occasion I do anything unplotted, it'll likely go in the post canon verse. I added a handful of other AU verses as well that are mostly barebones but can be developed further if there's interest. You can find my verses page here.

It was fine and nice one,i don't have strong opinions on me especially when my brain tuning out two times from heing overwhelmed but it was a fine episode. But here's what i thought:

springy and walkie talkie are cobs worker/creation to distract me phone from getting back into season 2 problem he caused. But honesty? knowing the man, He wouldn't go through that such leght. He gave me energy that he would rather copy other company idea and pass it as his own or create his own bot/use an ai to create the whole season and only hire people to make the quality good at puking a fuck ton of rainbow and random action for the kids to not get distracted but got confused when people said it's the worst thing ever because he thought that good animation style=your series was automatically awesome even tho if it was a me phone,it would explode at the second it was finished. My biggest inspiration rn is @toomanywordsnllines !

He is amazing at art and I love their artsyle so much!! Her art style is just so huggable and his painting/rendring has me on a choke hold!! Thay just give me so many ideas that my brain explodes!!

Another one of my all time inspiration is Rensaven! I love their style sooo much!! The simplity has me on a chokehold also THEIR ANIMATIONS!? I would also love to work on a idk animation movie maybe? I would really love to work in that industry but im not sure if i can... I'm scared that ill get bored of it but yeah!

20) What is your favorite thing about writing fanfic? What about writing in general?

I love that a basis is set out about character so I can take them and stick them in whatever and how ever many situations as I want and see what happens.

For writing in general I gotta say I love being able to bring a random thought or feeling to life through stories and share them with others who might feel the same

1) fluff

Oh absolutely I love to give hurting characters love which os probably why my second top is…

2) angst

Even if I go in planning only fluff angst in the form of panic attack or grief sneaks in. It allows for the comfort and care from loved ones. I cant commit to just angst though, there is enough sad things in the world lol.

3) songfic

This absolutely, i get most ideas while listening to a song or while thinking of a song. And their are so many good songs out there that can apply (read: Every song is thought out in fic form at some point or another in my brain lol)

4) not beta read

This less so lately. I know how horrible my grammer can be and how easy it is for me to overlook errors if i read and stare at the fic long enough. I am very thankful to have some wonderful writer friends to help me out here.

11. Partial to char pairing: yes I absolutely do. I lean towards Daminette with Jasonette a close second when I’m writing. Reading wise I’m equal opportunity.

As for why, well I think it stems from my love of seeing the bad boy/angry boy softening for sunshine/sweet girl. I love bringing a character with trauma or insecurities together with a partner who will see that and do their best to support and soothe them. All while making sure they feel seen and loved beyond imagine.

This ones tough I think no dialog would be easier as you can get what they talk about through descriptions of actions. Although you could set a scene with just dialog….hmm yeah, no dialog for me I struggle with convos in my fics generally.

okay im back so the post i linked to that was deleted was something along the lines of like "when my wife leaves for work i sit and face the wall and wait for her to come home" which was very changer and buzzer beater sungchan to me.

I did notice that your archived some of your old fics cause like another recent anon i have been reading your works since like 2019 (home was my first fic of yours and then the sleeping cinderella series and three kept me coming back) and yeah i get it there is a difference between some of your old fics and your fics from like three onwards and as a longtime fan its really nice to see how you've grown as an author.

as for the height inclusivity, i do completely understand cause there are many gorgeous, tall women out there but your comment about how kun is 1 inch taller than you was really funny to me cause like, you really said they ain't shit 💀💀💀 as for myself im 161cm so i know that if i was to meet renjun id probably reach his eyebrows or maybe his hairline if i was really lucky but in spirit im the same height as xiaojun, renjun, taeil and ten and if we met id like to imagine that we'd all be mischievous little gremlins together. (random side note i watched the fnaf movie the other day and josh hutcherson is like 165cm, he's bestie babygirl height but you wouldn't know it cause he's got a bit of a beefcake build and most of the movie was solo shots so you didnt have many chances to compare him to other people. on the other hand, matthew lillard, who plays the bad guy, is 192CM! there was a scene where hes standing at a desk as josh hutch leaves the room and it looks like matthew is standing on a platform cause of how big the height difference is). also you're right that sicheng is kind of considered tall now in comparison to the rest of wayv cause now that dozen left, its literally just one tall dude and 5 toddlers (also have you seen that clip of wayv being lowered off the stage standing all cool and shit like the avengers or something but the thing doesn't lower enough and they all have to duck and run off stage?) but yeah inclusion is super important and it really does detract from fics for me when im supposed to be a curvaceous blonde with blue eyes 💀

yeah when i was talking about the loserxloser typewriter content i was referring to baby fangs i just got confused cause of all the teeth related wip names (im slowly losing it i swear) but i didn't think that the bite would also have loser content? from the description i definitely thought it was just an enemies to lovers which personally isn't my favourite trope just cause when i dont like someone i find it really hard to see them as attractive at all but like it seems like its becoming more of an idiots to lovers instead and i am SO EXCITED because single parent aus are one of my favourite things.

yeah idk as someone who's short the centimetres or inches don't really matter to me when it comes to tall people cause either way they're gonna be taller than me (when it comes to other short people it matters very much because im competitive) so like people taller than me are either shorter than a fridge (average) or taller than a fridge (big boi bodacious/daddy long legs/step on me mummy)

as for the timeline, i did not expect romance is dead to be around the middle but then again i didnt really know much about how it fit contextually anyways. I also need to brush up on my american college language and term structure cause like freshman, sophomore, junior, senior like i kinda get but like sophomore sounds really fancy and junior is well, junior so i thought they would be flipped. Also in australia our school year starts at the beginning of the year and ends at the end cause summer is dec-feb but i forgot that its all flipped for you guys (the way the dreamies release really summery tracks in july but im listening to them as i sit indoors, wrapped in blankets)

also yeah i didnt expect pupsick to be before tdhea just cause of how present jeno was and you're right, he didn't do too much meddling in tdhea and was just kinda there but i genuinely just attributed it to being a personality thing cause there is no world where i can imagine him being more scheming than chenle, jaemin and hyuck 😭😭😭. but you saying "he was just kinda there......bc he had nothing better to do while pupsick!reader was at study sessions 😔 very conveniently-timed study sessions and bakery shifts without jeno that leave jeno completely free to be in every relevant scene for tdhea... aw shucks 😔😔😔" killed me. this poor little sad puppy man has to spend time with his friends cause his wonderful gf has a job and responsibilities :(

when it comes to ppl irl being taller/shorter than me i was always kinda tall growing up (usually one of the tallest in my class at school), then around high school i stopped being considered "tall" by the other kids bc the boys my age finally hit puberty and i stopped growing at 172cm/5'8" so i stopped considering myself to be tall and just sort of....average? except NOW i work in a weirdly short office. like my coworkers are all so short that i feel tall again 😭 truly height is relative. we have maybe 3 ppl in the whole office (out of 30+ employees) who are 180cm/6ft or more and NOBODY is over 187cm/6'2. i s2g most of the men are shorter than me, i feel like i could step on them and there is only one woman who is taller than me and she's probably only an inch or two taller than me, not considerably so. height soooo relative tbh 😭😭

i never thought abt how the flipped seasons would change your school schedule but that makes complete sense! i always hear abt ppl in the southern hemisphere going to the beach on christmas (we also did that in florida to be fair, but it wasn't quite warm enough to go in the water)

yeah i do default to northern hemisphere season and usamerican university years/semesters bc that's how the flow of time makes sense in my brain and that's how it's easiest to keep track of the timelines in fics for me as i'm writing since it's what i'm accustomed to, but i'm sure it can be disorienting for ppl whose countries don't work like that, that's why i generally try not to make it too overt if it's not relevant to the plot of the fic. the timeline was just a fun little extra thing i was curious about if anybody had picked up on
