Can we talk about how good the Moon Mining song in Midst S3E14 - Shindig is? Like, I've heard lots of songs across the various podcasts I've listened to, some of them quite good. But I have yet to encounter one that was situated in the story as masterfully as the Moon Mining song, or that conveys a fraction of the emotionality. Even without getting into story spoilers, the (at least seemingly) improvised nature of each verse, the layering of shouts and cheers and merry heckling to create a whole crowd leaning into it, the way each character expresses themself and their situation (and is expressed to us as the audience), and even just the way the song is introduced paint such a vibrant and lively setting. The entire 5-ish minutes just radiates a community coming together and having fun.

S2E4 - Weather used to be my favorite episode, as someone who has a deep love of cosmic horror and general eldritch shenans, but I've gone back to Shindig at least seven or eight times just to listen and relisten to that single song. I can't imagine not getting swept up in the revelry, and its position within the episode (and season overall) just sells it so much harder. More concrete spoilers beneath the cut.

If you haven't listened to Midst, please do. Gracious goodness, it's so good.

The entire episode is a rollercoaster of highs and lows for these characters and the community of Stationary Hill that we've gotten to love at this point. Sherman and Tzila finally arrive home, to celebration and joy. The community is barely recognizable but we've seen them band together and rebuild. And at a pinnacle of tension, after the gut punches of Hieronymus' confession to Saskia and the Vault demolition plan and Weepe's victory over Kozma, we finally get a brief break. But even that break is tainted with uncertainty and pain. Right before the song begins, we get Emmet's toast to the fallen, Sherman's uncertainty and fear of staying in Stationary Hill, all the festivities and merriment tinged bittersweet. And then the catharsis hits. It's not announced as a song. It's not a side bar where the ambiance cuts away so a tune can be inserted above the story. All we know is that Goe is getting on stage, and the narrators are saying we're missing something, but what? "That's right." "It wouldn't be a party on Midst without-" "Goe: It's time, you dang raskals!"

It's like the podcast version of show, don't tell. They could have laid out that a song was coming up. They could have even just launched into it. But by merely having uncertain build up and sudden increasing excitement and anticipation from the crowd, we get dragged along with it too. Straight from all the emotions of the previous conversations into this building energy with no clear outlet. It isn't until the cheers and diegetic voices demand "that friggin' moon tune," now that we are also fully on board, that the end point is revealed. And then it slaps.

The different methods of singing for each person, of which Saskia and Ettie (x2) and Ned (whose voice makes me understand the random background lady) stand out the most. Bets and Walter's and Tzila all representing different versions of how a kid would approach being asked to sing in front of their entire community. Sylvester and the chanting and everyone joining in on the chorus and the way each person's verse is a snippet of their life and perspective and situation and story without it being overbearing. It just. The whole thing. It screams of the close-knit Stationary Hill community, which then also pays off in another big way during the last episode.

I highly recommend listening to the song again, with headphones and the volume cranked up to get the full experience if you haven't already. I'm losing my mind over this song. If tumblr woulda let me, I would have just uploaded the full 5:19 clip I isolated, but unfortunately it wound up being too big to post. Flying to Japan on Nov 25, 2023!

Jikook being the rich bitches that they are now, do you think they had the whole plane just for them and their staff? Anyone else notice they spent almost this entire episode in matching and/or coordinated outfits? Yeah, me too! How very adorable of them. It's so obvious and clear in this episode than it has been in any other. The thing I noticed most about their dynamics in this episode was the consistency in all their little sweet and cute habits together. Things they've done around each other for years and years. And they are still doing it!

JK spent the entire episode randomly filming Jimin. And he said "I love it" or "I'm so happy" over 30 times in just the one episode. Traveling with Jimin and just chilling together brings him so much joy. Everyone should rejoice in that. And Jimin spent the entire episode randomly bursting out into song, but specifically SNTY 🥰 the support!

And the way JK was filming Jimin, it's still that consistency man.

I said most of my "analysis" moments in all that stuff above, I don't really feel the need to repeat myself but if someone wants or needs clarification on my thoughts, please ask/let me know! This was a beautiful and very sweet episode. They were just purely enjoying each other's company! They were so happy together. Good food, good beer, good company, beautiful atmosphere. I'm so happy for them. And it reeks of domestic bliss so often in this episode too. Lol love that for them as well!

Some law of talos facts and info off the top of my head (by someone who's very hyper fixated and wants people to know more about it!!!!)

Apparently some people just didn't know that law of talos was an oc tournament 😭??? I thought that was basic info but I guess not! I'm not counting it being a tournament as a fact but more people not knowing (also some people didn't know unknown person had comics for before and after each animation??? There's literally YouTube videos with both idk what to tell you guys 💀)

Unknown persons entries are the most popular, but the 5th animation is non canon! The canon ending was by the winner Blacklillian but it's currently lost media :( there's a description of it on the lost media page, a few meantions of plot points on the tv tropes (example)

An ask + drawing related to what happened to Karl after on unknown person's tumblr (unknownpsn) we can also gather a tiny bit from the winner announcement post comments, the main point I've noticed is people talking about their disappointment in the lack of action and badly done Karl but praising the more satisfying ending. There was also apparently an epilogue by Blacklillian but that is also currently lost :(

Blacklillians entrees (along with the majority of others) are lost media! Deignited isn't dead, I haven't had much of a chance to work on anything over this year between uni and other priorities. It's also been even longer since I last uploaded an update to ModDB, but rest assured - there's been plenty of progress made since the middle of last year or whenever it was.

Mostly in regards to Spyro 1 enemies. Some of them are like fully done (except for custom eyes) - modelled, vert painted, rigged and all set up in UE and everything, but most are in various stages of the rigging process and/or pretty close to being fully modelled and vert coloured.

I seriously need to get off my arse and dump the dev screenies onto Tumblr (or make more for the stuff that hasn't been documented anywhere).

For now, I'm gonna ramble about a recent development.

Sometimes it can be a bit of a trial to rig a low-poly model to armatures/animations made for a high-poly model, especially when you're not bothering to make extra geometry around the joints to accommodate for deformation out of stubbornness regarding the general lack thereof throughout the OG Spyro models.

Yes, I'm aware of the rampart hypocrisy. Anyone who's played the mod or seen the models knows that I've made plenty of deviations - the muscular-type dragons, for example.

Trondo's got forearm muscles since I cut more geometry into them to connect the spines to his main mesh (Bubba taught me the hard way that disconnecting thing and shit from the arms is a good way to make jank visuals) and provide more of an accurate position to vert paint the bandages - and then there's poor bastards like Gavin who really need an extra loop midway along the forearm(s) to avoid taking a trip through Clip City during their animations.

I don't know if I should try fiddle with his weights before resorting to another loop - and also, whether or not I want to do this with every dragon who doesn't already have additional forearm loops.

Either way, I need to fix Cosmos' rigging.

That being said, I think I'm running into more dilemmas involving twists along limbs more often than the joints themselves. It can be pretty wild if there's only just one loop per joint, e.g. shoulder - elbow - wrist; sometimes it's exacerbated by having only four verts in a loop, sometimes it isn't.

There's usually a way around it if you fiddle around with the tweak bones, like if you balance out an arm by taking some of the shoulder/clavicle's first arm tweak bone influence and dumping it into one or more of the last ones, then vice versa for however much the elbow is weighted to the last arm tweak bones. Can't always change the direction of the tris in a quad, what might work for one position might get completely fucked up in another positon/anim/etc.

Sometimes, the increments in rotation between a limb's tweak bones during certain animations aren't relatively equal, and it can get messier if the weights aren't particularly feathered from loop to loop.

Again, stuff like this always varies - and Toys for Bob, Sanzaru and all the outsource studios who helped with Reignited are all miles more experienced and talented than I am with animation (and 3D in general), so I'm not in much of a position to whinge about it…even if there are times where analysing stuff makes me feel like I'm going to have a stroke.

word of advice do not look at the sleeping dogs' weight painting because holy jesus motherfucking christ

Take the big Carrot-Topped Monks from Dream Weavers during their death animation, for example. The sudden twist between tweak 1 and tweak 2 is doing a number on those polygons, and then up until the elbow it's relatively smooth sailing. With a little figurative and literal elbow grease, you can kinda alleviate how much the faces clip into each other on a lower-poly model!

Untwisting the loops can kinda sacrifice some of their width or general size, especially if shit's fucked from shoulder, elbow to wrist…

I might be able to fix that.

What I might not be able to fix is something regarding the small versions of these guys.

Look, this isn't my first time seeing limbs without gradual tweak bones, but um, I think this might be the first time I've seen an armature have those tweak bones while the model just straight up doesn't have any vertex groups for those bones.

The bones themselves are animated, but since tweak bones are in parenting chains stemming from a main bone and main bones are usually parented to other main bones…they're kinda unable to do anything here.

I've never added custom vert groups to my Deignited models before, so I'm not sure what'd happen if I did for the small Carrot-Topped Monks. Even then, I don't know if the order of the groups is a potential issue either in Blender itself, UE and/or Reignited.

Or if it'd just fuck up the animations in general.

Unfortunately there's only one way to find out - and that is trial and error.

I'd probably rather deal with this than fun eyelids. Looking at you, most of the fodder in Year of the Dragon…

( im SO SORRY i waffled but also, like - that first question in particular is really great and i've had such fun answering it! it has a lot of detail about my heid i think & i hope it makes some sense ! )

What kind of media provides inspiration for your muse (movies, music, comics, books, research)?

aw man, i am hugely inspired by films. primarily because i'm a total film fan ( me and my partner met studying film and he's, like, super into them ) - there are so many magnificent stories out there told on film & so many classics that i would implore people to watch as a means to get a grasp of certain subject matter or attitudes or even just story inspirations?

when it comes to heid; obviously i'm inspired a lot by war films ( one of my favourite genres actually ! ) - but, heid is a tough cookie because i sort of try to write him as being a mixture of 'war is hell' and 'i love war.' i see him a lot as being like colonel kilgore from apocalypse now ( if you've not seen it, i'm sure you know the 'i love the smell of napalm in the morning' ) but more-so, sergaent barnes from platoon.

platoon is actually one of my all-time-favourite films and barnes is VERY heid.

there's one scene in particular that resonates so hard with my portrayal ( or at least, how i hope to portray heid and it's here ). but it's where i get the quote from in my blog / carrd.

"Now, I got no fight with any man who does what he's told, but when he don't, the machine breaks down. And when the machine breaks down, we break down. And I ain't gonna allow that in any of you. Not one."

otherwise ( and in terms of war films ) - i take inspiration from rambo and the rant that he has during that film. this is more for young heidegger than it is older. like, i headcanon he essentially had a break down in his mid 20s and THIS is very much what it was like.

"Nothing is over! Nothing! You just don't turn it off! It wasn't my war! You asked me, I didn't ask you! And I did what I had to do to win! But somebody wouldn't let us win! And I come back to the world and I see all those maggots at the airport, protesting me, spitting. Calling me baby killer and all kinds of vile crap! Who are they to protest me? Who are they? Unless they've been me and been there and know what the hell they're yelling about!"

also, as a side-note ; the part where he sits on the floor sobbing saying 'where are they all?', 'where are they?' - that fucking hits /hard/ and just, urgh. i'd seriously say watch the entire scene because it's so sad but exactly how i see heid as a young guy and is partially why he's so fucking mean now. ( it's also why i want to explore young heid so badly )

another thing i wanted to mention are the samurai films i've been watching. i haven't watched a lot and most focus on samurai being good / or at least morally grey. but sword of doom really resonated with my portrayal; primarily because the lead is essentially seen as a walking sword of death ( he's despised by like, everybody and isn't a particularly nice person ). there's a scene where he witnesses a master swordsman cut down his entire crew and he just stands there half in awe and half in fear.

i read somebody suggest that the lead character is sadistic and essentially, his sword is his penis - to see somebody 'outperform him' & thus have him scared, renders him impotent.

it really resonated with how i see heid & i know that might sound silly but i love the idea of that being how he was first introduced to godo. the scene can be found here ( warning; blood / i uploaded the clip just for this lol )

& on the same note as 'sword of doom' - the scene at the end ( spoiler ) features the lead essentially go on an insane rampage fuelled by being literally haunted by the people he's killed & urgh, i could just /see/ that happening to heid.

How often do you try to search out new sources of inspiration, or does it happen more organically?

it tends to happen more organically - though i do love watching new films for inspiration! i like to seek out war films, samurai films, films with older casts. i've also been delving into a lot of the more classical kinda of films now, too! like, i watched casablanca not long ago and loved that! i see those films as being kind of heid-y. not necessarily in mood but like, i couldn't compare him to a modern flick ( if that makes any degree of sense ).

How do you start drafting a reply- does it start with a concept, a phrase, or quote?

when it comes to a thread reply; i try my best to make the response as natural as possible. like, if the other character is doing a variety of things - i'll have heid respond in a way that feels natural, rather than a step by step process of answering each sentence written.

when it comes to writing a starter or an ask - i'll usually type up heid's initial dialogue and then let the words flow from there. generally, once i get an idea / concept; i can flow pretty well - im a total 'wing it' kinda person.

Aizu Updates: Projects for June

It's been a hot minute since the last one of these, so I think it's time for another one. I'm thinking that having this be a bi-weekly thing would be a good schedule. I'll be talking about my time on Bluesky so far, Clip Idol, and some other miscellaneous updates.

These still need a proper name. I'll call them Aizu Updates since I blew my creativity budget on drawings and games. I will be retroactively adding the tag and title to previous posts like this one so they'll be easily accessible.

First I'll talk about my time on the elusive Bluesky. I managed to get on there thanks to someone generously giving me an invite code (NOTE: If it was you and you'd like me to specifically mention your handle, please feel free to reach out and I'll add it in; otherwise I'll keep you anonymous so people won't try hounding on you for invites. By the way: I'll only give invites to people I trust!). Bluesky is similar to Twitter on the surface, but it's actually a decentralized platform with no algorithms, at least not like the ones you may be used to on other platforms. Currently there's a "What's Hot" tab for posts with 12 or more Likes, and there's a Following tab that's always presented in chronological order that covers original posts, reposts (read: retweets), and even replies to other people. At this point in time, hashtags aren't implemented and DMs don't exist. The people there are kind of tight knit so specific communities aren't really a thing just yet, but that could change pretty soon. For now, I'm spending most of my time on the platform trying to get more artwork uploaded since I feel there's a sore lack of it.

A new development is something they're calling "Algos," which are basically a way to add more tabs functioning closer to the algorithms of other platforms. This is part of where Bluesky's decentralization comes in, because (from my understanding) it's a way to change what the platform thinks you're most interested in seeing on the fly without needing to make a fresh account. This is what will separate Bluesky from Twitter and could be a huge development for the future of social media in general. With it, you'll have more control to influence what things the platform assumes you'll want to see instead of just being at the mercy of one algorithm that's rigged by some guy with an offensive musk.

The biggest thing I'll be doing in the immediate future is a complete mad dash to finish Clip Idol. I'm supposed to be presenting it again very soon and I need to finish all of the artwork for it so it's in a presentable state. I'd love to make more minigames for Harley to play, but I think the time is coming to put a cap on Clip Idol and get started on something new. It's the only way I'll get better at making games, and I'm sure people will want to play this one! If you haven't seen the previous update I made about Clip Idol, I'll share a link to the latest in-progress video I've uploaded:

I've also been hard at work on my Vtuber model, who I decided I'm going to call... Aizu. Yeah, yeah, I know it's not a very vampire-y name, but his design came from ideas based on a lot of self-reflection (but still with a few liberties, I definitely can't pull off wearing a crop top in real life), so it's the same as my current username. Some people have called me a vampire before, so you know what? They're right. I am a vampire!

The model is already fully rigged, but I'm still running tests to make sure his tracking works properly. I'm also still drawing backgrounds, including the main one I'll be using. A goal I have for his streaming background is that, as much as possible, I want it to feel like it's in a real place. Just doing a fancy border won't cut it. Conversely, I'm back and forth on whether I should have him holding a controller and using a drawing tablet, but for my first Live2D model ever I feel it may be a little too ambitious. I'd like to start doing streams as Aizu before the end of the year, and since I'm making the model myself I could always add those bells and whistles in later.

I've talked about Aizu a fair bit and already made him my profile picture, so I'd like to pull back the curtain a little bit to show him in action! This is from a while back so his model is in an earlier state (note the darker wings), but in broad strokes this is how Aizu will be:

a/n: just a little something short I barely remember drafting at 4am. I haven't written an imagine in months so this was a nice change c: also squeezing a little something out of my braincells before I let my brain melt during the concert in a few days ahhh!!

“I don’t really do this a lot,” he whispers while leaning forward in his seat to stare into his phone screen he set on his desk, propped loosely between his mechanical keyboard and his miniature sound board. “I usually upload videos, but I wanted to sing to you on live today.”

Thousands of hearts and messages pop up one after another, and Jihoon quickly reads through them as best as he can. Most of them are greetings from fans who are slowly joining his live, and some fans ask him why he’s whispering.

“Why am I whispering? It’s past midnight,” he chuckles. “I’m trying to keep my voice low so I don’t disturb anybody.”

His studio lights are off, and the LED lights color his studio in a lazy purple haze. Fans can see him rolling his seat over to the guitar rack near his work desk and return with an acoustic guitar. He tunes his strings a bit before positioning the capo on the neck of the guitar. He opens his desk drawer to grab a silicone guitar mute to tuck under his strings.

“Are you all getting ready to sleep?" his voice is tender and loving in this interaction. He finger picks a simple but sweet melody as he continues, "I wrote this a few hours ago and just wanted to share it with you tonight. Maybe it’ll bring comfort to those who are feeling a little lonely."

Jihoon was never the type of guy to act so caring in public and private. The most care he would show was to slap you on the back once in a while if you did something right. But him singing his fans to sleep? Him offering comfort in a time of loneliness? These are actions he would never do on his own before you came into his life. Now knowing what it feels like to have someone by his side, to have someone he never plans on letting go, he's become more sympathetic to others. He openly worries and cares for those who need that extra comfort.

“Where’s Yn? Ahh…” he awkwardly scratches his hair and shakes his head so that his hairs fall flat against his head. “Yn’s sleeping right now.”

There are replies about him avoiding the question, but he smiles into his lap while he hugs his guitar closer to his chest.

Despite the fact that your relationship with him has been public for a while, the two of you still choose to keep your relationship to yourselves. As much as his fans want to know more about Jihoon's love life, they respect the privacy of others. However, anybody can notice the positive changes your relationship has on him.

He seems happier - not exactly floating on cloud nine. Jihoon is not the type to do so, but he simply seems happier than he was before. There's a subtle type of warmth he exudes. He's smiling more than usual and pushing Soonyoung off him less in interviews. One time he patted Soonyoung’s hair while Soonyoung was leaning his head on his shoulder. It weirded out the older boy so much that he avoided Jihoon for the rest of the day.

In his studio, there is a tiny framed polaroid of the two of you smiling, cheeks touching and faces squished together, that leans against one of his large Bearbricks standing on his white cubed shelves. One of his minimized tabs on his desktop is a page for a Polaroid film bundle that comes with a mini photo album and a string with tiny clips to hang the photos on the wall. He thinks it would look good on the wall above the couch with tiny fairy lights. He’d probably hang pictures of his studio guests and his pictures of you on the strings once he has time to print them out.

He tells his fans to wait a few seconds while he pulls up the lyrics he finalized after you fell asleep. With nothing in mind but singing the song he wrote with you to his fans, he pulls his keyboard close to him. His phone slowly slides backwards onto his sound board, and his fans see nothing but the ceiling changing colors in slow waves from purple to blue. They hear him click on his mouse a few times before softly gasping when he notices his fallen phone.

He mumbles his apologies while propping his phone against whichever surface he finds. His head turns away from his livestream, checking on something behind him, but he quickly focuses back on his live. The phone is repositioned in a new angle that Jihoon isn’t really bothered to doublecheck as long as he is in the frame. It’s already pretty late, and he doesn’t want to keep his fans up for too long.

The song he sings is very short. With a simple down, down, up, down, down strum pattern, he sings about the feeling of having somebody he loves fall asleep on him. He describes the fear of moving when someone is resting on his shoulder – too afraid to wake them up. He wonders if they’re dreaming about him, if the version of him in their dreams is a better version of the real him. Casting doubts aside, he ends his song on a note about the difference between dream him and real him is that they chose to be with the real him.

There is a small but cheesy smile plastered on his face as he leans forward to look at the comments his fans are leaving. However, his smiling face turns into one of blatant confusion when he notices the chat box moving a lot quicker than usual. He can barely catch the comments as they zoom upwards along the left side of the screen. His mouth drops open and his eyebrows twist in confusion when the only comments he is able to catch are keyboard smashes and people talking about themselves crying. He awkwardly thanks his fans for staying awake and waves them goodnight before ending his livestream.

When he locks his phone, he turns around to look behind him. He sighs in relief when he sees you sleeping soundly on his old couch. He puts his guitar back on the guitar rack and makes his way over to you. He quietly squats in front of you, laughing through his nose when he sees the tiny pool of drool forming where the corner of your lips touch the cushion you’re using as a pillow. He readjusts his large jean jacket you’re using as a blanket and decides to quickly clean up around him before waking you up to go home with him.

Little does he know the two of you are trending on Twitter. There are screenshots and recordings of his live from when he was singing. More importantly, fans are going wild about seeing you sleeping soundly in the corner of his screen. Not only that, they notice his jacket draped over you, and you’re hugging a pair of matching plushies fans have deduced are supposed to represent the both of you. Many have already guessed that there was another person in the studio with Jihoon when he started whispering in his large studio and turned around to check on something. However, many are even happier to find out that the person was you.

A few hours later, Soonyoung posts a screenshot from the live with the caption: “When will it be my turn?”

Evil Xisuma in s8 is under Jeff the Minion's control, and likely the Midas Curse, and that is why they're a Capitalist right now

hey! hi! welcome to my post. i will share with you what has been unable to leave my mind for the past week

you might have noticed this part in X's ep 1010! It is probably the cutscene with the least amount of lore in it, it's just EX relaxing and watching TV with other animations th3pooka (the person who animates these new EX cutscenes!) has done. The 2nd show shown is from their animation of Dragon Bro's, but the 1st and 3rd are from a 20 minute animation by them called Evil's Fault. When watching the 3rd clip, EX exclaims, "Oh! Jeff the Minion! Haven't seen that guy in some time." implying that EX remembers events that only happened in Evil's Fault, and that Evil's Fault, animated by th3pooka, IS canon to the s8 EX plot going on.

If you think that that's flimsy to say that the animation is canon I understand, but also consider that this is seemingly the only point of this cutscene: just to show that 1. EX is a tad depressed 2. They remember Jeff the Minion (while 2 scenes of Evil's Fault are played.) Episode 1010 was also uploaded on the 2 year anniversary of Evil's Fault. (Jun 19th)

Evil's Fault also includes voice acting (and music!) from other hermits, and X shouted it out when it came out and linked to it in his HC episode at the time. I think it's fair to say that Evil's Fault, and it's 3 prequels (the CarnEVIL trilogy) are canon to X's s8.

So! What is in Evil's Fault?

oh boy . there is a lot in Evil's Fault. if you are an ex enjoyer and haven't watched it yet, like i had. uh. its probably best to just watch it (tw, it said at the end its dedicated to people struggling with feelings of 'Hate, Addiction, and Doubt', and i think if you are sensitive to seeing violent internal intrusive thoughts, take caution)

So, in Evil's Fault we learn that since at least ep 500, EX has been 'working with' a mythical being named Jeff the Minion. (named "Jeff the Nightmare" in the Evil's Faults credits since he's not Dionyisus's minion anymore since Pungence freed him (listen it's a long story) but I'm gonna refer to him as Jeff the Minion for this post) If you don't know who Jeff the Minion is, like 99% of people on earth, HERE is a post by hermette-historian, and another by arandomshine. In short, they are a Season 1 Pungence and Skyzm lore character that appeared in. One episode. (and other th3pooka animations)

Jeff the Minion is also the evil voice that EX was talking to in ep 666 (that appeared as a wither skull), and likely the supplier of the Withermen in ep 500 (Jeff himself is associated with wither skeleton skulls, and we see in Evil's Fault that he has a lot of smaller minions that do his bidding. These were likely lent to EX as the Withermen)

Some time after episode 500, (while EX is stuck at the bottom of the pit in the s4 world), EX falls asleep and dreams of their life, before Jeff the Minion intercepts the dream. Jeff the Minion places this glowing wither skull into EX's head, saying that he'll always be there inside EX's mind, no matter how hard they try to wake up.

Then in the segment titled "Waking world?" we see EX, still stuck in the pit in the s4 world, trying to stay awake from episode 569-574. There is one scene in particular in this segment that I didn't understand watching the first time, that I think is very important.

On the wall, we see messages that EX scribbled in lava to remind themselves. They turn to obsidian as time passes, and by the end the pit is a Collage of desperate messages from EX to themselves to STAY AWAKE. But what I think is interesting is the message to EX's left here. "$ 1-Emerald Golden Chips <AND> Silver Fish"

It starts as just the chips thing (chips as in Bri'ish way of saying fries) and then they add the Silverfish when they catch one, but what does this message mean? They just caught this food for themselves, what does it being an emerald mean?

This seems to be EX making a shop. Saying that it's 1 Emerald to pay for their food. (the use of Emeralds is interesting too, why not 1 Diamond? Using Unusual Currency huh ex). Why would EX be making a shop, stranded at the bottom of a lava pit??

Now I want to move from Evil's Fault, and take a look at Jeff the Minion's original episode, and King Midas's Curse within it.

In Pungence's S1 Ep 12, he and skyzm are given a book with a message by a creature named Jeff the Minion. They own a shop filled with King Midas's Treasures, (just gold gear) sold at Ludicrious prices, and Jeff says that they need to toss them back into the Pactolus River to get rid of the curse (which has been passed down onto them). This is really a ploy from Jeff, because if the golden items and the 'successor of the gold curse' (Pungence) are under Jeff's control, he can use them to break free of Dionysius (who he is in debt too because he got drunk and ate a whole bag of Ritz Crackers) and return to his former powerful state. (Jeff the Nightmare). The curse was also originally given to King Midas by Dionysus.

Pungence and Skyzm laugh in his face and do not, in fact, do that. Jeff isn't seen again until CarnEVIL 2, Dream No More.

Pungence tries to attack Jeff (in the body of/masquerading as Evil GenerikB? idk), but uses King Midas's sword, releasing Jeff's full power as he has the successor of the gold curse and the King's items. Jeff's full power is shown briefly, before they defeat him and seal him in ice until Pixelated Heart.

A lot happens in Pixelated Heart, but the sum of it is that all the hermits use the power of love (and remembering their loved ones who Aren't there) to fight Jeff the Nightmare. Xisuma, along Pooka and GenerikB are the one's leading the charge, and Xisuma is the one who shoots Jeff's eye. They also say that all of those Little Jeff's (called 'Trapped Hearts' in Evil's Faults credits) are dead/inactive hermits, corrupted, so that's pretty fucked up if true!

Here is my full interpretation of when things happen up until s8!

What we know is that Jeff the Nightmare, who was a voice in EX's head from at least 500-666 (where he's then banished from EX's head by the power of EX and X's bond, put into X's hand by EX, (which is then why EX goes Oh Im Good Now! at the end of ep666. Jeff is gone from their mind)), and is then gone until ep 800.

I personally think that since it was X and EX's bond that drove Jeff away in the first place (the redstone represents Bonds with other people, you see that in Pixelated Heart), as X's trust in EX dwindled, Jeff was able to creep back into their mind and convince EX that they were evil and always were going to be, partially because that's what X was thinking.

Then, EX tries to break free and make a final stand, with Wormman and Xisuma (the only two people who. care about them) coming to help, giving Purposeful parallels to the big power of love fight scene in Pixelated Heart, but if its from Xisuma not actually trusting EX deep down, or just from the fact that there are only 2 of them vs the like 100 that fought in PH, Evil Xisuma loses their last fight, at the end of Evil's Fault. (see the emerald that flies Straight to their face)

So. At the end of Evil's Fault, EX falls under Jeff's control again.

Now onto S8.

First off, EX is a lot.. smarter, and subtler this season. This really doesn't seem their style, but would make sense if someone is trying to keep a low profile here, and manipulate someone else into doing their bidding and building their empire, so they can strike once all of the hermits are under their control. I'm not talking about EX manipulating Xisuma here, I'm talking about Jeff manipulating EX.

The sudden capitalist turn from EX, something they've never cared about before in their life (the only other time they had a shop was in s5, the shop with Wormman, where they literally gave away their knitting patterns and other things for free. it was literally free)... Could be because with Pungence no longer the successor, King Midas's Greed was something that Jeff could pass down to EX, and could be the reason why they are focused on wanting money (if it's not just for general Want of Control, to exploit people, which it could be too)

But now onto the parallel between Jeff's voice in EX's mind in Evil's Fault and the mind control (and i think th3pooka on twitter confirmed it was in fact mind control) that EX did on Xisuma. Both spells involved the persons signature 'thing' (wither skull for Jeff, lightning for EX), colored their color, that then went into the persons head and turned their eyes to that color. It's safe to say that this is likely the same, if not similar spells.

What Jeff's spell did was put his 'everlasting voice' into EX's head. He was able to send messages to EX, seemingly look through their eyes, and compel them to do things. It seems likely that EX now has the same 'backdoor' into X's mind, and if you count the streams as canon, you might even say that clips like these confirm that EX can see through X's eyes, and influence him to say things for them.

I think that the EX heads that EX is giving to the other hermits do a similar thing, give EX that same 'backdoor' into their minds if they're wearing them. The episode is called 'influencing the hermits' and EX seems VERY excited and Evil when the hermits put on the heads.

Jeff wants to destroy the Hermitcraft server, and has a motive to go after Xisuma and Evil Xisuma specifically. EX seems to be being used because they can access the psychical world, and Jeff can't, and their bonds with others are weak enough that Jeff can put the doubt and hate into their mind enough to control them (Maybe the reason that Jeff can't influence other hermits Directly yet is because their bonds with eachother are too strong, and wards him away)

Another thing I want to mention is EX, both in the "Waking World?" section of Evil's Fault and in 1010, sitting watching TV and being surrounded by food, and empty potion bottles. (probably the closest thing to wine in Minecraft, i think that these scenes could be hinting at Dionysius/Midas Curse control. the cookies in 1010 also are the closest thing in Minecraft to Ritz Crackers I can think of).

In short (and this post has not been short. dear god i am sorry that this post has not been short but i think i had to explain all this because nobody knows who the hell jeff the minion isJNKBHXC), I think it's pretty much confirmed that EX is working (unwillingly) with Jeff the Nightmare in s8, has a backdoor into Xisuma's mind, and is trying to influence and get into the minds of the other hermits. (And that the capitalism May be linked to King Midas's curse, which now that Pungence is gone, does not have a 'successor'. but honestly maybe this isnt connected to the midas thing i just wanna be clever with why specifically theyre doing shops and money out of nowhere)

But what makes me say that they're definitely working together with such certainty? Look at this shot from 1013.

Yep! Those eyes aren't EX's. Those are Jeff's eyes in the reflection. EX is certainly under Jeff's control in s8, but where the story ends up going from here we'll have to wait and see.

NOTE ALSO I WAS ABOUT TO POST THIS BUT MY BROTHER BROUGHT SOMETHING UP. EX SAYING "Oh Jeff the Minion! Haven't seen that guy in some time." IMPLIES. THAT THEY DONT KNOW THAT JEFF IS CONTROLLING THEM CURRENTLY EVEN THOUGH JEFF IS AT LEAST IDLE IN THE BACK OF EX'S MIND, AS SEEN FROM THE REFLECTION IN 1013. PAIN AGONY EVEN

Taekook at Busan Rehearsals

I've gotten a couple of links sent in from different people of a couple of these (frankly wild lol) moments from today's rehearsal in Busan, and I honestly anticipate that I'll likely get more -- at least, I've seen more and wouldn't mind talking about them -- so I'm just going to make a post about it.

If you're trying to avoid seeing anything about the rehearsals at all (though to clarify, I'm not really talking about spoilers for the real show, just moments that happened during the rehearsal), you can skip this one!

1. Jungkook undressing Taehyung

Like he really did that lmao!

From what I've seen, it sounds like the full moment began with Taehyung going around and pulling up/possibly tightening everyone's hoodies. He was the only one not wearing one of them. I saw someone say that as he was pulling on their hoods, a couple of the members tugged at his sweater, but I haven't seen video of that.

Then when he'd finished, Jungkook did what's shown in the link above: he reached over and unbuttoned one button on Taehyung's sweater, which he appears to have done with a huge smile.

This is a longer clip which shows a lot more of the moment. It seems that not only did Jungkook unbutton Taehyung's sweater, he also tugged down the sleeve, revealing Tae's whole shoulder, and then when Tae moved away (you can see in some clips that he was laughing), Jungkook beckoned for him to come back. When Tae did, Jungkook pulled the shoulder down again.

At that point, Taehyung moved to stand directly in front of Jungkook and pulled the other shoulder down to match (Namjoon helped lol), which made both Tae and JK laugh a lot and Taehyung sang that way for a moment. In this upload you can see Tae a bit better just to have a better idea lol, if you've somehow missed seeing this trending on Twitter.

There's also a part where Tae sort of bends over and Jungkook has his hand on his waist/back, and a friend mentioned that it sort of looks like Jungkook was pushing him down?? It's hard to tell for sure, but he was definitely touching him.

Another friend also reached out with this clip, which seems to imply that Jungkook originally tried to cover Tae up more (which would fit with the fact that Taehyung was covering up the other members too) but Taehyung resisted it, and that was when Jungkook opened the button. I'm not sure whether that's accurate or not, but I figured I'd share it!

Honestly this whole moment is so wild to me! Jungkook teasing Taehyung by pulling his clothes down is already next level, but then Taehyung moving to stand in front of Jungkook directly, getting undressed even further, and then turning to him and both of them smiling like that!! How am I even supposed to have coherent thought about this, honestly??

I can almost, almost, say that maybe this is all just standard, typical Bangtan shenanigans, maybe dialed up a bit because they knew not many people could see them or see them well anyway, but the fact that Taehyung moved to get directly in front of Jungkook before pulling his sweater down just makes this seem unavoidably suspicious at the least.

2. Linking arms

I haven't come across this one on Twitter yet, although I'm sure it's there somewhere or will be soon, but in a bit of a tone shift, look! at! this! clip!!

There's not really so much to say about this one, just the two of them walking around a bit and while Jungkook had his hand in the pocket of his hoodie, Taehyung stuck really close to him and put his hand through Jungkook's arm and kind of held onto him by the look of it, but oh man! So cute!!

If I try to have some Thoughts about this, rather than just screeching endlessly into the void, it's nice because it's yet another example of the two of them sticking close together (people don't call them magnets for nothing) and also it's just such a sweet little gesture. It's very soft of them, and you know how I feel about that.

3. Taehyung on his knees

And then in another abrupt change in tone, we have this!!! Y'all -- when I tell you I don't even know what to make of this!!

Is this what it looks like?? I genuinely don't know. The quality is obviously pretty bad, it's blurry and far away and there's a lot of camera movement, but it certainly looks like Jungkook gestured for Taehyung to get down, and then when Taehyung only bent over, Jungkook pushed him?? Onto his knees????

I don't even know how to say this lol! I don't even know if I want to say it! But it sure looks like that's what's happening here!!

I've only seen this one angle/video of this moment, so it's definitely possible that more will come out later (if it's not out already and I just haven't seen it yet) that will give a better idea of what's going on here, but honestly no matter how it happened, Taehyung still ended up on his knees facing Jungkook and I'm not going to lie, I'm probably going to be stuck here for a while. I won't be analyzing this one lol.

I can't even handle these two today. I wonder if they were just getting out all of their wild during this rehearsal since they'll likely all be behaving in a more-reserved-than-usual way for the concert itself (I'm guessing).

Whatever the reason, I can't say I haven't been enjoying watching these moments come out over the course of the day. This was some pretty suspicious stuff in my opinion, especially this last one (although maybe I say that just because I've seen the first moment so many times at this point).

It's really so fun and lovely just to see them playing around like this! I'm assuming they had to have known that people could see them, at the very least after yesterday. Even if they couldn't see or hear fans, their staff must have told them they were visible from outside, so I've just been enjoying the chance to see them being playful and a little, shall we say, unhinged. Whatever was going on today, I adore them.

I'm curious about any other moments people have seen that I've missed here, and any thoughts/opinions you might have about these!

I remember during one festa when Yoongi said he got sick on the rides at an amusement park, then Jimin called him out saying Yoongi got sick not because of the rides but because he was actually hungover 🤣 Maybe you could write something along those lines

Oh I absolutely remember that festa clip. I love that and I really enjoyed fleshing that two second interaction into this almost 3.5k fic. I hope you enjoy it! Thanks for requesting!

“Yoongi-hyung, maybe you should pace yourself?” Namjoon encourages as he watches Yoongi chug his fourth whiskey in two hours. It was supposed to be a casual bonding night for the hyung-line. But it turned into more of a drunken circus. They’ve all had more than they should, but Yoongi’s taking it to an extreme. 

“I’m no lightweight, Joon. I can handle my liquor.” Yoongi replies, slamming the empty glass against the table top. He shakes his head to clear his mind and calls for the bartender to order another drink.

Namjoon bites his lip. He looks to Hoseok and Seokjin for back up, but they are off in their own little world. Namjoon hears bits and pieces of the conversation, something about the mobile game Seokjin’s currently obsessing about. When Seokjin starts talking about gaming, he doesn’t stop. Namjoon resolves that they will little help in wrangling Yoongi in. He takes a cautious sip of his beer. Despite how much he wants to join the others in drunkenness, he knows someone has to be the responsible one. He’s used to that role. 

When Yoongi’s served a fifth drink, Namjoon picks up another conversation with his fellow rapper. Just to fill the air before Yoongi knocks another back without a care in the world. Seriously, doesn’t that burn his throat? “So we’re going to the amusement park tomorrow?” He tries to sound excited. 

Yoongi swirls the amber liquid around in the glass, “Yeah. I guess that’s the plan.” 

“We should probably head back to the dorm early then? We don’t want to be hungover.” Namjoon suggests, sipping again on his own drink. “That wouldn’t be very fun.” 

The older rapper clicks his tongue. “If you want to worry, Namjoon, why don’t you worry about Hob-ah or Jin-hyung.” Yoongi hiccups, quick to take a sip to prevent it from happening again. “I don’t get hungover.”  

Yoongi has never been so wrong before. 

He wakes up the next morning with a splitting headache and a churning stomach ache. After he works up the energy to pull himself from bed, he shuffles to the bathroom. He only has to look at the toilet and his mouth fills with warm vomit. He kneels before the bowl, spewing round after round of liquor and stomach acid into the water. He doesn’t remember the sting from the alcohol going down, but it sure as hell burns coming back up. After 10 minutes, he thinks he’s empty. While he stares down at his own mess, he prays that he’s gotten it all out of his system. 

He takes deep, ragged breaths as he hoists himself back on his feet and flushes away the mess. He stumbles to the sink to rinse his mouth and wash his face. On the counter, there’s a bottle of aspirin, the brand that Hoseok uses. He knows that Hoseok’s a bit type-a about things, but he resolves that he won’t miss two pills and swallows them after he brushes his teeth. 

The mirror reminds him that he looks like death warmed over. Disheveled and pale, eyes sunken and surrounded by deep purple skin. He does his best to clean himself up, knowing the other members are waiting for him downstairs. They’re going to the amusement park, he needs to be okay. 

Back in his room, there's a bowl of hangover soup on the dresser he shares with Seokjin. Maybe it's a bowl his hyung had started but never finished. Yoongi doesn't think Seokjin will mind if he drinks the rest. He's never needed it before, so he's not sure how long it takes to kick in. He hurriedly gets dressed and joins everyone else downstairs. 

"Have too much to drink, Yoongi-hyung?" 

"I thought I saw Seokjinnie-hyung making hangover soup this morning." 

"Hyung, You're looking paler than usual."

The maknaes are quick to tease him. Even if Yoongi didn't look like a walking PSA about the importance of alcohol pacing, Namjoon told them all about Yoongi's personal rager. 

Yoongi flicks each of their foreheads. It's only a quarter of his usual force, but it's something. He assures them he's not hungover. But it's hard when he has to resist the urge to wince at Jimin's high pitched cackling. 

"I just didn't sleep well. I'll be fine after some coffee." The rapper shuffles to the kitchen to fill a travel mug with the bitter liquid. But the mug is simply for show. He doesn't intend on drinking any of it. 

Everyone doubts him, exchanging side glances and whispers. 

Namjoon watches as Yoongi pretends to take sips of the coffee. He's not a great actor. His Adam's apple doesn't move when he's supposedly swallowing. It does, however, bob up and down while Yoongi sways his way to the van. 

In the car, Namjoon's worry peaks and he sends a private message to Yoongi.

To: Yoongi-hyung

Hyung, are you sure you're feeling okay? If you feel sick, I can tell a driver to take you back to the dorm. 

The response comes in quickly

From: Yoongi-hyung

Joon, I told you not to worry about it. I'm fine. I just need more time to wake up. 

Yoongi pockets his phone and Namjoon realizes that's the end of the conversation. 

Yoongi can hardly stand to look at the screen. The bright screen light is triggering his motion sickness which is a horrible combination with his hangover. He spends the whole car ride on the verge of vomiting. Which concerns him because he was pretty sure he emptied his stomach earlier. But by sheer luck he's able to hold back. 

Once they are inside the park, they all identify initial objectives. Jungkook's first objective is to eat. It's seconded by Taehyung, Jin thirds it. And Namjoon's vote puts it in the majority. Yoongi can’t focus on any of their conversations. The sun is too bright, it stings his eyes. And the roaring sounds of roller coaster tracks and excited screams make his head feel like it’s about to explode. So he just follows the group as they find a place to grab lunch. 

But amusement park food is greasy. And Yoongi's already feeling sick. The hangover plus motion sickness plus fast food grease would be a deadly combination. He's sure to puke. So when Namjoon and Jimin take orders, he asks for a fruit smoothie in place of a meal. The members try to convince him to eat more, but he stands his ground. 

It's cold, which transforms his pulsing headache into a pounding one. And it's sweet, which doesn't sit well in his sour stomach. The few sips he's taken already don't sit well with him. He drinks less than half of it before he deliberately throws it away. 

The others watch as Yoongi throws the Styrofoam cup into the trash bin like it's personally offended him. Yoongi holds his head in his hands when he returns to the table, waiting for the others to finish. 

"Did you not like the smoothie, hyung?" Taehyung asks carefully. "I thought you liked strawberry." 

"Wasn't hungry," Yoongi replies through barely parted lips. He fears more than words will come out. Lying is as easy as breathing for him today. "You guys finish up, I'm okay." 

After lunch, Jimin suggests they go on rides. They put it to a vote and it's unanimous, excluding Yoongi who abstained from the vote. So they start to wander the park. Jungkook talks about his favorite rides. Hoseok asks that they start off with the smaller rides and work their way up to the big coasters. 

After three rides, Yoongi's sure his brain is going to pound out of his skull. And his stomach found a new home in his throat. He's made the mistake of riding the twirling tea cup ride with resident mischief maker Taehyung, who apparently has more upper body strength than he lets on. As soon as he's off the ride, he sprints in a jagged pattern to the closest trash bin. He throws his head over the opening with just enough time to spew the little bit of smoothie he managed to force down. He knows all the smoothie is gone when he feels the next heave burn like the stomach acid and alcohol from before. 

They all crowd around him, shielding him from public eyes. No one should know of them. But on the off chance someone recognizes them, puking into a trash bin should not be a part of their image. 

"Maybe I spun it a bit too fast?" Taehyung rubs the back of his neck apologetically. 

"A bit?" Namjoon questions, also unfortunate enough to share the small cup with the second maknae. 

Jimin rubs Yoongi's back as the rapper finishes up. "I think Yoongi-hyung should go home. He's clearly not feeling well." The young dancer directs the statement at Namjoon, but it's Yoongi who replies. 

"No," Yoongi spits a final time into the bin before lifting his head. The world is still spinning, his stomach is still churning, and his head is still pounding. But he's not going back to the dorms. He's not ruining this fun day for them all. "It's just a little motion sickness. I just need a break, then I'll be good to go." It's not very convincing with his knees wobbling together while he speaks. Jimin's supporting nearly all of his weight. 

There are a few tongue clicks and eye rolls at Yoongi's persistence. But ultimately they allow it. Jimin decides to stay back with Yoongi, sharing a tendency to experience motion sickness. And Hoseok joins them when he sees the monstrous roller coaster the others are walking toward. Hoseok's not a fan of watching others be sick. But he also really doesn't like the big rides. It's a lose lose, but at least on the bench he can try to help his friend. 

Jimin and Hoseok try to coddle him, but Yoongi holds onto his independence. He stifles back a queasy burp behind his palm. "Tae was just spinning it really fast. I just need to sit for a bit." He shrugs off their concern, "But seriously, has Tae been lifting weights? Where is he hiding all that upper body strength?" 

Hoseok and Jimin chuckle, calmed by the fact that Yoongi can still crack bad sarcastic jokes. But they are still concerned. Yoongi has looked pale and fatigued all day. And he doesn't seem to be getting any better with time. In fact, it's getting worse. 

Hoseok braves the understatement of the century once again, "Yoongi-hyung, are you hungover from last night?" He doesn't even allow Yoongi time to answer. "It's really okay if you are. No one's going to judge you. I was a bit hungover this morning, too." He lies. He only had two drinks the whole night. But maybe Yoongi would be more open if he thought he wasn't alone.

"How many times do I have to say it!" Yoongi starts with a shout, but the loud volume irritates his headache and he lowers his voice, "I don't get hangovers. I know how to handle my alcohol." He's lying, at this point even to himself. He doesn't know why it's so hard to just admit it at this point. It's not like he's enjoying himself anyway. It's just principle at this point. "You guys know I get motion sickness. Why is it so hard to believe?" 

Jimin sighs, resisting the urge to flick his hyung. The vocalist has been wearing motion sickness wrist bands to help with his own propensity to motion sickness. But he figures Yoongi needs them more. He takes them off and slides them onto Yoongi's wrists. He explains something about pressure points and how the wristbands help to relieve the symptoms of motion sickness, but Yoongi barely has the bandwidth to listen, let alone understand. He just knows that Jimin swears by them. 

Yoongi feels guilty as Jimin situates them in Yoongi's thin wrists. He knows Jimin brought those for himself. Because when Jimin gets motion sick, he gets it bad. But the voalist brushes off the rapper's concern. He insists that he also took a motion sickness pill before they left and he'd be fine. So Yoongi smiles and thanks Jimin for his generosity.

The other four thrill seekers go on several more rides while Yoongi, Jimin and Hoseok rest. They've been sitting still for a while. Yet Yoongi still feels like shit, but he knows he's stationary long enough for the motion sickness to pass. He's still not going to admit the hangover, so he knows they need to move on. It's not fair to Jimin and Hoseok, who probably wanted to enjoy the trip with everyone else. 

Still, he doesn't want to try any more rides just yet. "You guys want to play some games?" Yoongi asks, slowly rising off the bench. 

Hoseok and Jimin share a knowing look, but smile at Yoongi and agree. "Sure, let's win some prizes to take back to the dorms." Hoseok cheers. 

They wander the park, stopping by all the game booths with bright colored plush toys. Several rounds of balloon darts and ring toss later, they collected a total of seven stuffed animals. A cheeky hamster that reminds them of Seokjin and a fluffy bunny that has the exact same smile as Jungkook. There's one for every member. 

The two groups eventually wander into each other. Jimin is eager to distribute the plush toys among the members when he finds them. They all share hearty laughter at the striking resemblances between their designated characters. When Jungkook suggests they take a group selca with their new pets, Yoongi positions himself furthest from the camera and tries to hide behind the taller members. He’s barely visible, but his scowling cat plush can be seen over Seokjin’s shoulder. No one suggests a retake. 

“Can we go on more rides now?” Taehyung jumps up and down on Hoseok’s shoulder eagerly. It’s a big park, there’s still so much to do. So many roller coasters to ride. “Please…” He bats his long lashes when no one immediately answers him. 

“What do you think, Yoongi-hyung, ready to try another ride?” Jimin asks, rubbing Yoongi’s back. He can feel the oldest rapper stifle back a sickly burp, but says nothing about it. 

Yoongi doesn’t think he’s ready, convinced every single ride will end with him leaning into a bin. But he nods anyway, “Yeah. What are you thinking Tae?” 

Taehyung wears a sinister smile while he points to the bright yellow track behind them. The closer they get to the track, the more Yoongi can see the steep drops, loops, and corkscrews built in. It even goes backwards for a period of time. Just looking at the ride puts his stomach in his throat. He looks down at the motion sickness bands on his wrists and knows he can’t complain. As far as they are concerned, his motion sickness is under control. 

There’s loud, repetitive music playing while they wait in line. His head pounds in tune with the song. And the screaming of the passengers currently on the coaster does little to help. The line moves fairly quickly and before he knows it, he’s sitting in a car next to Namjoon. 

The leader can sense the uneasiness radiating off of his fellow rapper. He hears Yoongi gulp thickly as the chest bar clicks into place over his torso. “Hyung, are you sure you’re okay?” Namjoon asks for probably the 100th time that day. 

“Joon,” Yoongi warns, sending him a glare. It’s lacking its usual intensity. 

“All you have to do is admit you’re hungover. You can get off the ride and go home.” Namjoon continues, “No one would think any less of you.” 

“I’m not hungover.” 

“Yes you are!” Namjoon has known Yoongi the longest. And he’s never known Yoongi to keep up a lie for so long. He’s sick of it. “It’s written all over your face! Just admit it.” Namjoon’s using his leader voice. Yoongi wavers. 

“Fine! Okay, fine! Yes. I’m hun-” before Yoongi can finish the words, the automated roller coaster warning voice interrupts him and the seats start to move. He gulps heavily and slaps both hands over his mouth. He keeps his eyes clamped shut the whole time.

It’s the longest 3 minutes of his life. As soon as the ride comes to a complete stop, Yoongi gags into his mouth and Namjoon pulls him out of the seat. They run down the ramp and Yoongi developed a talent for finding the nearest garbage bin during this trip. He once again throws himself over the rim, vomiting whatever still has the audacity to be inside of him. He’s finally down to the bile. The other five are quick to catch up. 

Namjoon’s patting Yoongi’s back, “Get it all out. You’ll be okay.” There’s a hoarse “shut up Joon” between heaves but Namjoon just smiles and ignores it. He turns to look at the rest of the members. “He’s hungover. He finally admitted it to me.” He informs proudly, still providing physical comfort to the gagging rapper. The smell of rotting discarded park food is not helping his stomach settle at all. 

There’s an echo of finally-s and we know-s and one very sarcastic sounding duh that Yoongi’s convinced came from Seokjin. When Yoongi spits the last of the excess saliva, he turns to face the members. He quickly tries to defend himself. “In my defense, I do get motion sickness.” 

“Hyung, no offense, but you look terrible. You’ve looked awful since you woke up this morning.” Taehyung counters. 

“And your motion sickness has never been this bad before.” Jungkook adds. “We’re not stupid, hyung.”

Yoongi huffs, “Well if you all knew, why did you force me on all those rides,” He makes direct eye contact with Taehyung, “Why did you spin the teacup ride so fast if you knew?” 

"Because you kept lying.” Seokjin reveals.

Namjoon piggy-backs off Seokjin, “We all asked you over and over to admit you were ill. We gave you so many outs! But you kept saying you were okay and following along. What did you want us to do? Force you to leave? You're an adult. We can't make decisions for you." The leader puts his hands on his hips, “If you want to torture youself, that’s your business. You can’t blame us.” 

Yoongi tries to come up with a counter, but he knows they're right. He knows he’s been stubborn. He's mostly mad at himself for drinking too much the night before. He really has no reason to be mad at the members. So he concedes. "Whatever, I’m sorry for lying. You guys were right. I'm hungover and I feel like shit. Can I go home now?" Yoongi whines, hands curled over his stomach. His headache is acting up again and his stomach is still churning. He curses the wrist bands Jimin let him borrow, they aren't doing anything to help with his nausea. 

The others know he just needs to sleep it off. “I’ll drive him home,” Hoseok volunteers, also having received enough adrenaline for the day. “Call for a company driver when you guys are ready to leave.” He knows it could still be hours before the rest of the members decide to leave. 

“There should still be leftover hangover soup for you to heat up, Hoseok-ah,” Seokjin informs, “Make sure Yoongi drinks some.” 

“That didn’t work this morning.” Yoongi grumbles. 

“Oh so you did see that?” Seokjin cocks his head, “Some thanks would have been appreciated. Do you know how early I woke up to make that for you?” Yoongi knows Seokjin’s being sarcastic to lighten the mood. He appreciates it. He chuckles and thanks Seokjin, even calling him his favorite hyung. “I’m your only hyung here. Your sentiment means nothing.” Seokjin smiles and pats Yoongi’s shoulder. “Feel better, Yoon.” 

Yoongi apologizes one final time before Hoseok escorts him out of the park. 

Yoongi pretends to be asleep the whole drive back, trying to avoid another lecture. Hoseok lets him pretend. He even goes so far as to gently wake Yoongi when they park at the dorms. “Yoongi-hyung, we’re home.” The younger rapper whispers. Yoongi grunts and climbs out of the vehicle. 

Hoseok prepares some more hangover remedies while Yoongi just trudges right up to his bed, content to just sleep it off. When Hoseok knocks on the door with a tray full of remedies, there’s no answer. He lets himself in to find Yoongi already curled up under the covers and snoring softly. He sets the tray down on the night table and runs a hand through Yoongi's hair. He can already see some color returning to Yoongi's face. "Sleep tight, idiot-hyung." Hoseok smirks affectionately. He closes the door behind him when he leaves.

I'm going through my projects folder and deleting old things I no longer need or forgot what it was all about and I'm finding some really weird things and thought I'd share some with everyone. :D

This is going to be long post with bunch of pictures so I'll put the rest under the read more. Oh um, warning possible bodyhorror / trypophobia right under the cut!

For starters self, what the hell is this?

I wish I had any idea. Clearly it's an eye mask with... a lot of eyes. For what reason? I don't know. I have no recollection of creating this thing but apparently I did so back in October 2019. Maybe it was going to be a Halloween gift? That's like the only sensible idea I have. I think the texture for it is kind of really pretty though:

It just stares at you, unblinking, forever disappointed. Unthreateningly it was just called "facemask" so I had no idea what awaited when I clicked on it. This was not what I expected it to be.

Moving on, what the hell is this and why have I made it?

Also fresh from 2019. Judging by the textures it's a "conversion" of some Sims 4 makeup but I have no idea why it exist. I can't think of a single reason why I'd want this sort of eyeshadow in my game. To the trash it goes.

Then I found these simple eyes:

I don't think I ever finished them, from 2020. Apparently they were supposed to be kinda like this anime/game character since his picture was pasted in the texture:

Yeah I don't know either + the reference image is damn near useless, you can barely even see the eyes so A+ job me! Anyway these eyes aren't anything special so I'm deleting them too now.

Then I found these eyes, they're titled as "newdefaulteye" so clearly I had big plans for them.

Apparently I've exported them somewhere since the .psd in the folder has all the colors. These are from February 2021. I think they're actually quite pretty so I'm confused about why I haven't shared them. Here's a closeup of a better color so you can see the details on the texture:

Seriously, it is nice isn't it? Why did I not finish and share these? I will never know. Maybe I'll slap them on a normal shaded sclera though, I know you don't appreciate my animation friendly one :P and then I'll remake and actually upload them.

Messily made pulled up version of.... I think Trapping's mesh?

This one I actually remember, I had seen plenty of such tops for Sims 3 and 4 and just thought "Hm, wonder if I could do something like that using an existing Sims 2 top?" and then did it. It clips like hell in game but I still have it and its recolors since nobody still has made (a better) such top for Sims 2. Wink wink nudge nudge at anyone with actual meshing skills.

These were sort of version one for the July2022 eyes I did share. I wasn't happy with these so the version which I shared was born. Now I almost like these more than those so maybe I'll go back to them and try again?

Then I guess I tried painting eyebrows at some point last December?

Pretty sure the idea was to mirror it once I'd be happy with it but then I ended up never being happy with it. I'm still not happy with it and too grumpy to try again, to the trash bin.

2022 Wrap: The State of the Pillars

OffGun: Living. I'll check out Cooking Crush b/c it's OffGun and NeoMark. But if the story leans too much in the direction of the trailer, I'll just be skipping to the NeoMark portions.

TayNew: Alive and thriving! Probably in the minority here but I can't wait for Cherry Magic. Happy they're officially back and seeming better than ever.

KristSingto: Cremated. lol.

Brightwin: All but deceased. Won't be watching Win's new drama (not my cup of tea), might watch the clips folks will upload of Bright's movie. Pretty much avoid any of their joint activities at this point.

New Entries

EarthMix: Living their best life. Moonlight Chicken is allegedly coming out soon so I may watch that. Will not be watching anything 1000Stars related.

PondPhuwin: BREATHING.

OhmNanon: Surviving, somehow. Liked their work together, just don't really see them becoming, like, a pillar pillar. Maybe a fringe pillar? Anyway, might watch their Our Skyy 2 episodes, might not.

FirstKhao: Just born yesterday 🥰. Y'all already know my ass is seated for Only Friends! Can't wait to see them in something more mature. Will also be watching their Our Skyy 2 episodes :)

Who's Next?

ForceBook: Most likely to become a pillar. I know they already have branding and whatnot but having branding doesn't make them a pillar. They need some success first.

JoongDunk: Based on the size of their Thai fanbase I can easily see them becoming a pillar if they keep doing the right things (I mean, I liked them enough). Still, they give BrightWin vibes and I can't quite put my finger on why 🤔

JimmySea: sigh...I can't and don't see it but it's cool their fans are getting another show ig...

Who I'm Keeping a Close Eye On In 2023

NeoMark: Liked Mark since Bad Buddy, stanned Neo's acting since Tonhon Chonlatee. Haven't even seen them in a show yet and already seated. Their storyline is the main draw of my most anticipated show of 2023. From the trailers alone I can already see some chemistry and can't wait to watch it unfold!!

PerthChimon: Perth seems like a really serious actor and Chimon's passable. Haven't seen either of them in BLs before but definitely peeped Chimon's chemistry w/Ohm in Blacklist and Perth impressed me in the trailers. Wanna see what they're bringing to the table...

It's ok to have an opinion, and I'm happy that's how you put it anon - an opinion, not a fact.

They may or may not have been together for all or some of the break. We just don't know, and that's the point I've been trying to make here time and time again.

He was in Jeju for several days, not weeks, though anon. He posted the Jeju pics days after he was in those places, not in real time.

We don't know how long he's been in Busan either.

We don't know where JK is, where he was, where he spent his break. In Seoul or in Busan or both, and if so when he was where.

We just don't know.

Fans need to understand that many of the posts are not real time (take Tae's last past - the 'date' with Hobi - that was a couple of years ago). If they visit somewhere they would probably post about it after they have left that place - you know, privacy issues and all. If they upload a pic or a clip, it most definitely does not mean it's current. It could be, but it could also be a few days, weeks, months and even years old.

I keep hearing this: "every time jimin has been seen jk has never been mentioned among the people jimin was seen with" - where and when was this exactly? I haven't seen this. I would genuinely like to know.

I just saw a clip from false's episode (sorry if you haven't seen it, this may be spoilers if so) with the grumbot bit and I'm thinking so many thoughts rn!! it sounded like grumbot/the button shocked false away from it (sounds like the fizzle of electricity when she got too close to it), implying that he didn't want her to touch it. if so, then I imagine it's because he only wanted grian to press it. also.. what does the nether portal effect mean??? so many thoughts!! -Ozzy :3

so grian's last episode involved a lot of the button, with the implication that it was a Lore Thing. afterall, he was specifically told to press it, so it makes sense that it wouldve shocked False. i'd be interested in the timings of the episodes though to see when the change to a portal happened. i know people may sit on footage for a while before releasing it, but i noticed in scar's episode from the same day as false's, he visited grian's cave and the rift was normal. of course, he probably recorded his segment earlier than her, but i do think that the change was VERY recent. unfortunately i havent been caught up on enough people to know if anyone else showed his cave within the last few days

so i'm bettting that in the next day or two, we're going to get another grian upload (it's been 7 days since his last, and given the recent changes, we know he's been up to something) and i think it will definitely have grumbot lore. remember too that grumbot told scar he was a good mayor for 5 mins...

i think as for the portal, it's shorthand for moving between places. back in evo, every version jump was through a nether portal. when gem fled S8, she made an amethyst portal (which was ofc a nether portall). if we're looking at the empires theory as well.....well i think that it turning into a portal means that someone or something is going to travel through it 👀
