Ahmed batihan is in desperate need of money and donations from us. Palestine us a lesser land, for masjid Al aqsa was the very first qibla. Muhammad (pbuh) and his followers prayed towards Jerusalem for many years.
Look at this boy. He lives in palestine, but he is in a situation that forced him to be a man at only 14. He has siblings who are always crying dye to pangs of hunger and thirst. He feels helpless because he is. He only has the donations of you kind people to prevent them from dying.

A reminder about Palestine:
Tumblr media
Firstly, the existence of the country of Palestine was never in question. And secondly, as per the UK's own words in the oft-referred to "foundational" "Balfour Declaration":
"NOTHING SHALL BE DONE WHICH MAY PREJUDICE THE CIVIL AND RELIGIOUS RIGHTS OF EXISTING NON-JEWISH COMMUNITIES IN PALESTINE."
Plain as day.

A view of the Chapel Annex from the east. Love the idea of a full glass wall facing the river with a stone wall with lancet windows facing the courtyard.

I’ve said something along these lines before but I think the typical zionist narrative that “Jews are indigenous to Palestine and Palestinians aren’t because Jews lived there first” falls apart when you start comparing it to the logical conclusions you’d have to draw for some of the European equivalents.
South Slavs have only lived in the Balkans for about 1300 years, definitely a far shorter time than the Greeks were there. Does that mean they should be driven out and the territory handed to Greece? The proposition is absurd on the face of it and then you remember that the kind of people who genuinely want that are Greek fascists. Hmmmm
Magyars have only lived in Hungary for about 1200 years and they outright conquered it, but I think anyone who’s not a Central European white nationalist would also think it’d be ridiculous to kick the Magyars out of Hungary.
This is fundamentally where such an ethnonationalist sentiment leads. It is only through the inertia of imperialism and the backing of western nations that the idea that Palestinians are uniquely not indigenous to the land they’ve lived in for more than a thousand years has taken root

Satine Kryze should not be a sympathetic character.
A complex and tragic one? Sure. Every day of the week.
But she did not 'have a point', neither in-universe, not outside of the sw framework. She isn't a hero, neither of her own story, nor of someone else's. There is no way she wasn't a tool. You should not look at her and think 'this woman has done nothing wrong and what ultimately happened to Mandalore was to no part her fault'.
Because guys. Friends. Strangers on the interwebs.
Pacifism doesn't work.
And it certainly wouldn't have worked in motherfucking Star Wars – the 'wars' is literally in the title – for a system or series of systems who wanted to stay neutral.
YOU DON'T STAY NEUTRAL FOR LONG BY JUST SAYING 'YEAH, NO THANKS <3' TO A LARGE-SCALE CONFLICT.
source: I am Swiss, we've looked at this in history class. Extensively.
Satine was a dreamer (thanks Obi-Wan) who was allowed to keep her delusions because they actively benefitted Palpatine's plans. And that's something you can quote me on. There is literally no other reason (apart from supremely bad writing but we'll leave that aside here) for her and her little friends' 'Alliance of Neutral Systems' or whatever to be allowed to exist.
Not that they were neutral in any way, shape or form, by the way.
So yeah sorry to the Satine stans, but you're idolizing a character that was written exclusively and specifically for Obi-Wan's manpain and who, in-universe, was a supremely bad politician. Because the level of mental dissonace needed to factually be a Republic System, have a seat in the fucking Republic Senate, rely upon their military for aid while actively proclaiming that All Violence Is Bad And Barbaric one sentence later AND THEN CLAIM TO BE NEUTRAL IN THE WHOLE CONFLICT – it's just mind-blowing. Even moreso that people actually look at this character and see something aspirational in her.
Again, I'll gladly dissect her character any day of the week. She is fascinating because of all the implications her existence as a head of state carries with it, as well as her deeply complicated family history and her relation to mandalorian culture.
But it just grates on me personally that that all gets ignored in favor of her being some sort of icon of white american saviorism (bc that's literally what she is) and her objectively bad political takes being treated like they are the only correct stance to be taken during the Clone Wars/Mandalorian Civil Wars.
If you think pacifism works and actually lets you stay neutral, I desperately urge you to open a history book. Because those two are mutually exclusive. Especially in the scenario that Star Wars paints.

“That’s my history. Strange thing, that I and my family would do it again,” he said.
Safad, which is the city that my father lived there for hundreds of years, with his father and grandfather and great grandfather and so on, when a ship came from Poland with refugees, Jewish refugees from Poland and Germany, whatever, and they went to several countries first went to America, and they went to Cuba and they won't let them off.
So they came to Haifa.
Tumblr media
And funny enough, Haifa is a port that my great grandfather built, and they had a banner on the side of their boat saying, “We lost our homes in Germany and our hope can you, don't let us lose our hope here in your country.”
And they took them, they took two families each. Took two families and others did, and brought them to our house, to my father's house, and they lived with us for two and a half years.
And when I was, when my mother was pregnant with me, my mother went to Nazareth to her parents house.
She had me and I was nine days old when she came back to Safad to take me inside our home, and we were locked out. The fact I came back home and they won't even let us in into our home.
When my mother begged them to get a shershef or something to put around me, they wouldn't let her.
So she moved on down to the refugee camp in Syria somewhere.

Israel violating 1979 Peace Accord and slanders now Egypt
The corridor is part of a larger demilitarized zone along the entire Israel-Egypt border. Under the peace accord, each side is allowed to deploy only a small number of troops or border guards in the zone, though those numbers can be modified by mutual agreement. At the time of the accord, Israeli troops controlled Gaza, until Israel withdrew its forces and settlers in 2005.
Tunnels! Like the non-existing ones of Al Shifa Hospital where instead very real mass graves were found once Israeli forces evacuated...

Did some doodles of the Chicago Wards spending their time out of costume! Because they are still my favs despite not only Wildbow but the fanfic writers forsaking me on more content of them! So guess I’m filling the void myself!
Jokes aside, wanted to do some practice on character designs and a bit of background/foreground and decided to take the opportunity to do some more drawings of these guys. Designs and stuff are I think like 75% canon compliant and 25% headcanon / personal intepretation of the characters

What I want to know is why Ludinus is convinced that Predathos will stop with just the gods.
This is what we know about Predathos, with the new information from Downfall:
- It, like the gods, came from Tengar. It wasn't some extraplanar entitiy that came to their home and drove them out, it (or what would become it) was born in the Orchard of Possibility, when Edun picked a fruit from a new tree and went away, becoming this point of lightnessness.
- The collapse of Tengar was this all consuming nothingness growing larger and larger. It wasn't hunting or anything like that, it just drew and sucked things in and made them into nothing. It WAS nothing.
- We can't say for sure, but it's possible that as the nothingness grew, it was forced into a more tangible physical form like the gods were as they fled, but we don't know that. So we don't know is Predathos is still this nothingness entity, or if it's taken on more and is something that can be contained. Well, it's contained now, so something happened.
- It didn't follow the gods immediately to Exandria, it arrived sometime after the Founding, but before the Schism, and the gods sealed it away with the Elementals into what is now Ruidis... but not before it consumed two more gods.
- It's definitely got a more tangible consciousness now, it wants to be awakened and released, but it sounds like it needs some sort of vessel?
- It's (supposedly) got a core of glass with big spikes sticking upwards throughout the moon, and that all is remnants of its last form from when it was sealed...which doesn't tell us much about what Predathos used to look like except that whatever it was was pressurized to the point of forming glass that's similar to obsidian (and magic).
- Ludinus does not seem to be a candidate for the vessel, since he's not Ruidisborn.
- And Ludinus thinks, or claims, when it's released it will be happy with consuming just the gods...which is weird because we just saw it consumed their ENTIRE PLANE OF EXISTENCE RIGHT AFTER BEING BORN.
So with all of that in mind, I once again ask: what makes Ludinus think this can be controlled? What makes him so sure that this will end with the deaths of the gods, that Predathos will be satisfied and malleable?
