do you happen to have any recs for blogs that post a lot about reading???? sending this ask to you because you're the only blog i follow that mostly talks about books lol and i think it'd be nice to see more book related stuff

If you mean blogs that talk about a variety of books and reading in general, I don't know that there are many I can recommend; most of the people I follow (which isn't many) are fandom specific. Two I can think of, @morhath and @annabethisterrified, post about reading fairly regularly, including a variety of books instead of one fandom specific.

But otherwise, looking through tags of specific books I've enjoyed and finding people who post about them can lead me to people who read in general. Since if they read one thing, odds are they've read more. Which is rather intuitive, but it's true of how I find people

Looking through tags like "bookblr" and "bookworm" may also lead you to some people--though there will also be a fair bit of aesthetic people in tags like those usually, so depends on what you're looking for. You can also check those posts from other tags people use, and figure out which ones have the kinds of people and posts you want to find

Branching out and finding more book-in-general related blogs is actually something I'd like to work on myself--don't worry mutuals, I mean to do so alongside my current posting, not to replace it. I'm not going anywhere

I wish I could be more help with this, but hopefully this is a start! If anyone else has any others, please feel free to add them :)

last thing googled: “when will Jane the virgin be back on streaming” cause my mom and I were watching it together (I’ve seen it before but she hasn’t) but then they took it off Netflix! like a couple months ago. so we were checking if it was on anything new but it’s not :(

current obsession: survivor!!!!! season 47 every Wednesday night baby! survivor is my constant undercurrent obsession but it’s always stronger when there’s a new season airing.

looking forward to: going to rocky horror at a local theater with my mom on Halloween, going out with friends on Friday, going to my friend’s wedding in December! Far in the distance I’m also really looking forward to summer camp next year. I’m helping plan the summer right now and it’s so much fun I can’t wait

i've been doing a lot of editing and planning for my main story and not so much writing, so actually the last line i've written is from a chay/kinn sugar baby story 😅

He feels his heart warm, the clear display of fondness from his colleagues breaking through the strong walls of his insecurity. Chay is important to others. “If we transfer his care to anyone, it will be Dr. So.” Kinn declares, giving Chay’s hand a squeeze. “There isn’t a doctor I trust more than her.” Chay is important to Kinn.

i have an INTENSELY vivid memory of the night the magnus chase preview chapter dropped and i had school in the morning but i stayed up until like 4am losing my mind. it mentioned annabeth lol we all went crazy. so many theories, there was fanart within hours, @/annabethisterrified followed me back so i felt like i'd spoken to god. lol. idk man. obviously i was going to grow out of these books but i feel if they'd stayed good or at least decent i could still feel good things about new announcements.

Book Review: Outrun the Wind

God I’m absolutely in love with this book. 

Outrun the Wind is a sapphic retelling of the ancient Greek myth of Atalanta, a huntress and the swiftest runner in Greece. The Huntresses of Artemis must never disobey the goddess, and must never fall in love. Kahina, a huntress since her rescue from Delphi, breaks the first rule to save Atalanta after a disastrous quest. To win back Artemis’s good favor, Kahina is sent to the land of Arkadia, whose princess is none other than Atalanta. As she and Atalanta evade the numerous suitors racing for the princess’s hand, Kahina finds herself breaking Artemis’s second rule, too. 

So I started this book in the morning and finished it at night and neglected all my responsibilities. If that doesn’t tell you what an engaging and wonderful book this is I don’t know what will. The story combines my two favorite things: Greek mythology and lesbians! Honestly I couldn’t have asked for anything more perfect. I adored Kahina and Atalanta, and Phelix, and Nikoleta, and Meleager... I have so many feelings. Gosh. What an incredible book. I’m still reeling. This is definitely a book I will find myself revisiting time after time in the future. Already I want to read it again.
