I don’t know how I’ve just realized this but like we’ve had a lot of injustice this season considering the fact that the big mystery is surrounding a fallen goddess of justice

Riz possibly not being able to get into college

Sklonda having her pension withheld for no reason

Fig getting dropped from her record label

Gorgug having to take three years of artificer at once because he’s too nice (eventually having to shed that part of himself at times to succeed)

Fabian finally getting to go home to his mom after not seeing her for months only for her to immediately leave him alone for months on end when he clearly doesn’t know how to fend for himself

Adaine not performing well in class because she can’t afford her class despite having saved the world and literally being the elven oracle

Kristen literally getting expelled for something that had been cleared up before despite literally earning and working her ass off for an A

The Ratgrinders being so much farther ahead in everything than the Bad Kids because they found a way to cheat the system despite the Bad Kids literally saving the world

Like this definitely has something to do with the bringing back of the corrupted goddess of justice right?

....Is anyone suspicous of Kristen's "Chosen One of Helio" status now that we know Amkarna's domains?

Cause Kristen was seemingly always going to be a cleric of Cassandra, if we look back at Sophmore year. So what if Kristen was never Helio's chosen, but Ankarna's.

Ankarna's Chosen One to bring back Cassandra.

Which would further explain why Ankarna is so angry with Kristen, cause if it was just because Kristen wasn't doing her duties as Cassandra's Cleric I don't think there would be as many personal jabs towards Kristen. But if Kristen was literally chosen by Ankarna to be the one who saved Cassandra, then lines like "I'll give you a God you deserve" would have so many added layers to it. Imagine you have a chosen one that was taken by your replacement, who then finally saves your wife, only for that same chosen one to neglect her duties as a cleric and be part of the reason your wife is dying again.

I also do think that Junior Year is going to end with Cassandra and Ankarna being the type of deities that are usually worshiped together. Or at the very least their followers are heavily involved with each other.

It’s poetic how Figueroth Faeth, the girl who’s horns grew in and didn’t know who she was anymore, the girl who’s life turned upside down, who’s mom can’t talk about feelings with, who turns into other people to hide herself and make herself feel more understood because she can’t understand herself and if she can’t understand herself and where she comes from how could anyone else? The girl who’s girlfriend is a pheonix who, too, struggles with who she is and where she came from, who sent her a meteor shower from the dawn of time, professing her love for her, who’s girlfriend is a pheonix and she a pit fiend who cannot be set alight

Is the champion of the once known goddess of dawn, and light and justice, of certainty and new beginnings turned to rage and anger and conquest, who’s love for her wife is so strong her name is the first thing she said after centuries of silence, who’s followers forced her into something she’s not, and despite even that, she refused to let them hurt her wife or her sister, the most important people in her life, even if it meant the end of her own, she herself becoming a pit fiend for awhile, being forced to change into someone she doesn’t know to hide herself, her past hidden behind walls of rubble and stone

For Figueroth Faeth to hear her name, start singing the best rock songs talking about the Dawn Of Justice, songs so great Ankarna’s very own fiery Pegasus showed up, of Fig herself being so staunchly loyal to her own friends, who goes to classes for her best friend’s mental health, even when it’s the last thing she wants to do

There was a really fundamental problem with the plan to turn Ankarna: people don’t typically want to worship a god of Only war and conquest. They want to at least believe they’re fighting for something else, even if war and conquest are the primary outputs.

The narrower the focus on war becomes, the harder it gets to fully kill doubt. Not just the deific personification of doubt, but the doubt that exists in people as a direct result of having nothing to fight for.

On top of that, you can’t have war and conquest if your foes are completely destroyed. An over-dedication to war as an end to itself requires opposition. This likely interfered with their attempts to fully destroy Ruvina. Meanwhile, the followers of Ruvina were NOT idolizing war, they were trying to reach the world after the war, so they were able to actually follow through.

The House of Sunstone is sitting there thinking their deity is being stubborn, that replacing her would fix it. But, my brethren in Ankarna — the call is coming from inside the house.

rebellion without the hope of a new dawn is absolutely cynical, that’s absolutely true, you cannot simply tear down what exists, you need to strive for a different and better future

Who up thinking about how Ankarna was twisted and malformed by her followers for not being what they wanted her to be only for her to be killed by her own sister because of it. And how Cassandra was destroyed because her sister’s followers thought her followers were worshipping her wrong so she had to become something twisted and monstrous to survive. And how one of them was brought back by a loving caring soul who just wanted to help her and is doing everything in her power to bring her back and restore her to her former glory not caring about the monster she once was. And how the other was found by another monster who only wanted to use her for what he wanted and then kill her again to claim her power. And how Cassandra’s champion led Ankarna to her new champion. And how that champion sees who Ankarna used to be and wants to help her become her normal self again and doesn’t care about this twisted version she’s had to become. Because she gets it. Because she understands Ankarna more than either of them recognize. Because her girlfriends out of town. And that’s hard

i definitely want the ratgrinders to find redemption however i do really like the posts that have brought up that they kind of need their asses handed to them in this battle and the bad kids are so weary and over it at this point in just their high school careers they can't be bothered trying to "fix" them in this moment they need to save the world AGAIN

all that said i think now that ankarna is coming back likely in her uncorrupted form thanks to fig as a goddess of JUSTICE, my hopes and dreams are that she will see the deaths of these CHILDREN manipulated and used as pawns by cruel and selfish adults as DEEPLY unjust and because the ratgrinders were still devoted to her in some way, she will revive them herself, offering them a second chance bc i think that is what is ultimately fair and right

To be fair, I think Fig is in an extremely protective polycule of Ayda, Kristen, Adaine, two goddesses, mary Ann (again), zayn darkshadow, and maybe max durden— hyperromantic (and hyperplatonic if that’s a thing) icon tbh, good for her
