Hi! I saw that requests were open, so I wonder... can I request an imagine or headcanons (whatever you're more comfortable doing) about Legosi falling for a carnivore s/o and struggling with that after being so sure to be attracted to herbivores only please??

my writing chops are a bit rusty so please excuse me if this feels a bit off 😭 i had lots of fun writing it though!! if anyone is interested in a part 2, please let me know! i think it's a cool concept to explore and would love to do more with this >:) thank's for requesting and i hope you enjoy!

- i mean, sure legoshi has always been more than capable of recognizing when a carnivore would be considered conventionally attractive

- but to actually FEEL attracted to them himself???

- it's a perfect plan, really!

- except you don't leave his mind

- no matter where he is or what he's doing, images and questions about you creep into his thoughts

- 'what do they like to do in their free time? they have a really pretty smile, i bet it attracts a lot of people... are they interested in dating right now? would they even be interested in a grey wolf, for that matter? how do they keep their fur looking so soft?'

- he even makes more time to hang around with haru to try reinforce his established attraction to just herbivores

- the only thing this really achieves is sending him into a spiral about how he's attracted to two different people now

- and when you get scouted into the drama club as one of the dancers, it's even harder to keep you out of his sight

- starts making slip-ups with angling the lighting correctly since his focus can't help but shift to you during rehearsals

- the others in the backstage crew actually start asking if he's alright because he never makes this many mistakes

- he thinks every movement you make is so graceful, controlled and confident,,,

- it's a testament to the way you own your strengths and effortlessly channel them into your skills; it makes it undeniably alluring to watch the way you move

- wait! no! it's normal for most carnivores to be good at the physical arts so it's not attraction, just admiration for how good you are!

- denial is a river in egypt,,,,

- this cycle goes on for quite some time until the first dress rehearsal

- "oh man, did you see how good [name] looks out there in their costume? what a hot bod, especially doing all those poses and bends during the dance routine! heh, what i'd do to get a piece of that... huh? hey, legoshi, what's got you all wound-up?"

- hearing bill talk about you like that and subsequently having to hold back from hurtling a mean punch his way, legoshi finally accepted that this was a feeling he had to address 💀

- despite the borderline obsessive pull toward you, he realizes he doesn't actually know you beyond being classmates and drama club members together

- eventually concludes the best course of action is to formally introduce himself and hopefully spend some time together

- figures it's also a good way to see if these feelings grow or fade the more he gets to know you, maybe it really is just some carnivore pack-mentality thing!

- best-case scenario is that he just really wanted to be friends with you so he can continue pursuing haru without worry, but only time will tell now...

Finished uzumaki last night so i guess i ll right a little review.

the art was gorgeous of course. They way he incorporated spirals into the later half of the work was also great. But, and I half to assume that this is just a problem that i have with most visual horror, it wasn’t very horrifying for me. I can only think of one panel that actually made me queasy. (if you ve read it and you want to know it’s in the chapter where kirie has an unwanted lover). It might just be because that this is a black and white comic and i have trouble filling in the gaps but this stuff just really isn’t scary for me. And with that, that only aspect of the story that really enthralled me was the lovecraftian (<== i know he was an ass i just cannot remember the other names for the genre) horror and mystery elements. These too, also ended up disappointing me.

I know it sounds like i didn’t like the book, but i did really enjoy it. There were times were it was a real page turner and i was anxious to find out what was next. It is a great book and if you haven’t read it but know of junji ito, i recommend it whole hearted.

--- The morning light trickled through the half-open windows of the drama clubroom. Legoshi shifted uncomfortably as he adjusted a prop tree, his mind preoccupied with a myriad of thoughts. The sudden announcement from Louis the previous week had taken everyone by surprise—a new head writer had been chosen.

She had arrived earlier that day, slipping into the room with all the presence of a shadow. Legoshi watched her from the corner of his eye as she sat, barely speaking, her sharp gaze fixed on the scattered scripts before her. A black cat with an air of indifference, she radiated a quiet intensity that made even the most confident club members uneasy.

“Her grades are unmatched,” Louis had explained with his usual brisk tone. “She’s exactly what we need to elevate this production.”

Legoshi’s tail flicked nervously as he approached her.

“Uh... hi. I’m Legoshi,” he murmured, his voice softer than usual.

The cat glanced up briefly, her green eyes narrowing slightly before she returned to her work. “Okay.”

It wasn’t rude, but it wasn’t warm either. It was… curt, like she had decided he wasn’t worth more than a single syllable. He shifted awkwardly.

“So… um, you’re the new writer?” he tried again, his ears twitching as the silence stretched uncomfortably.

“Yes.”

Another sharp, clipped answer. Legoshi’s tail drooped. He wasn’t good at conversations on the best of days, but this was like trying to talk to a brick wall. Still, there was something about her that intrigued him—something about the way she seemed to carry a world of thoughts behind those short answers.

“Is there… anything you need help with?” he asked, trying to be helpful.

The cat finally put down her pen and looked at him fully. Her expression was unreadable, but her voice was calm and measured. “No. I’m used to doing things myself.”

Legoshi nodded, unsure if that was a dismissal. “Okay… I’ll just, uh, be over here then.”

She didn’t reply, her attention already back on the papers in front of her. He slunk back to his corner, silently berating himself for his awkwardness. But as the hours passed, he couldn’t help but watch her work.

Her movements were precise, her focus unyielding. She scribbled notes in the margins of the script, her handwriting neat and deliberate. Occasionally, she would pause to glance around the room, her sharp eyes missing nothing.

It was Louis who finally broke the ice—if only unintentionally.

“Legoshi, stop lurking and make yourself useful!” the deer snapped, gesturing toward the new head writer. “She needs the last script drafts from the archives. Take her.”

Legoshi’s ears flattened, but he obeyed. He shuffled over to her, mumbling, “Uh, we need to get the drafts. I can show you where they are.”

She stood without a word, gathering her things before following him.

The walk to the archives was silent. Legoshi felt like he should say something, but every time he glanced at her, she seemed lost in thought, her expression unreadable.

When they reached the dusty shelves of the archives, she finally broke the silence.

“This must be exhausting for you,” she said, her voice low but unexpectedly soft.

Legoshi blinked. “What do you mean?”

“All this social interaction,” she replied, glancing at him sideways. “It seems... draining.”

He hesitated. “It can be,” he admitted, “but I like helping people.”

She gave a small, almost imperceptible nod, as though she understood. They worked in silence for a while, sorting through the papers.

“You’re... different,” she said suddenly, her voice so quiet he almost didn’t hear it.

“Different how?”

She didn’t answer right away, her eyes focused on the script in her hands. Finally, she murmured, “Most people talk too much.”

Legoshi chuckled softly, a genuine smile tugging at his lips. “I guess I’m not most people then.”

For the first time, her lips twitched, almost forming a smile. It was brief, but it was there.

Maybe, Legoshi thought, as they continued to work together, she wasn’t as unreachable as she seemed.

The warm glow of the afternoon sun cast soft streaks across the dusty floorboards of the drama club’s archive room. Legoshi’s ears twitched nervously as he glanced at the black cat beside him. She was leaning against one of the towering shelves, her sleek frame almost melding into the shadows, her sharp green eyes scanning the scripts she had pulled from the stacks.

The air felt heavy. Legoshi shuffled his feet, his large claws scraping lightly against the floor. He wanted to speak, to break the suffocating silence, but her rigid posture and piercing gaze kept him rooted in place.

“Legoshi,” she said suddenly, her voice low and deliberate.

He flinched, startled. “Y-Yes?”

“You’re breathing too loud.” She didn’t look up, her tail swishing once before curling tightly around her.

“Oh. S-Sorry.” He ducked his head, his ears flattening as he tried to stifle the deep, instinctive breaths his body demanded.

For a moment, she said nothing, her expression blank as her eyes flicked between the pages of the script. Then, with a sigh, she set the stack down and turned to him fully, her hands resting loosely in her pockets.

“You’re... not what I expected,” she murmured, her tone unreadable.

Legoshi blinked, his tail curling awkwardly behind him. “What do you mean?”

“Most people are loud. Obnoxious.” She tilted her head slightly, her gaze narrowing as she studied him. “You’re... quiet. And you don’t stare.”

Legoshi rubbed the back of his neck, his claws grazing the fur there. “I-I mean, it’s rude to stare. And I don’t want to make anyone uncomfortable…” His voice trailed off, his body hunching slightly under her scrutiny.

Her lips twitched—a movement so subtle it might have been missed entirely. “Not bad,” she muttered, almost to herself.

“Uh… thanks?” Legoshi offered hesitantly, his hands fidgeting with the hem of his shirt.

She turned back to the scripts, her movements fluid and deliberate. The air between them settled into a tense quiet, though it felt less sharp than before.

Later, back in the drama clubroom, Louis was barking orders at the cast, his voice sharp and commanding as he directed a rehearsal. Legoshi lingered near the edge of the room, holding a box of props. His eyes darted to the black cat, who had returned to her corner with the same detached grace, her pen scratching lightly against the pages of her notebook.

Legoshi couldn’t help but watch her, his large, gray ears twitching slightly. There was something captivating about her—how still she was, like a predator lying in wait. She wrote with an intensity that made the rest of the bustling room feel irrelevant.

A loud clatter jolted him from his thoughts.

“Legoshi!” Louis barked, his sharp amber eyes boring into him. “Stop staring and do something useful.”

“S-Sorry!” Legoshi stammered, his claws fumbling with the box as he scrambled to set it down. His tail curled tightly around his leg as he ducked his head, trying to make himself smaller.

Out of the corner of his eye, he saw the black cat glance up, her green eyes briefly flicking to Louis before returning to her work.

Later that day, as the club emptied out, Legoshi found himself walking beside her again. She didn’t speak, her footsteps soft and deliberate against the pavement.

“I, uh, hope today wasn’t too stressful,” Legoshi offered, his voice barely above a murmur.

She glanced at him, her expression unreadable. “Why do you care?”

Legoshi hesitated, his shoulders hunching as he struggled to find the right words. “I… I just want to make sure you’re okay. That’s all.”

Her ears flicked back, and she looked away. “I’m used to stress. It’s not a big deal.”

He nodded slowly, his claws tapping lightly against his thighs as they walked. “I guess… but you don’t have to handle everything alone. Sometimes it’s okay to let people help.”

She stopped suddenly, turning to face him. Her gaze was sharp, her tail flicking behind her. “Why? Why does it matter to you?”

Legoshi froze, his ears flattening as he struggled under her intense stare. “B-Because…” He swallowed, his large hands fidgeting nervously. “I know what it’s like to feel like you don’t fit in. And… I think it’s nice to have someone who understands.”

Her eyes widened slightly, the smallest crack in her composed demeanor. But just as quickly, she looked away, her shoulders tensing.

“I don’t need anyone to understand,” she said flatly, though her voice was quieter than before.

Legoshi tilted his head, his tail swishing gently behind him. “Maybe not,” he said softly, “but it’s okay if you do.”

For a moment, neither of them moved. The fading light of the evening painted the campus in warm hues, and the air between them felt heavy with unspoken words.

Finally, she sighed, her shoulders relaxing slightly. “You’re strange, Legoshi.”

He blinked. “I-I am?”

“Yes,” she said simply, her lips twitching again in that almost-smile. “But it’s not the worst thing.”

Legoshi couldn’t stop the small wag of his tail as he followed her back to the dorms, the faintest hint of hope blooming in his chest.

Maybe, he thought, some connections didn’t need words—they just needed time.

AUTHOR NOTES:

Alright so... Beastars Season 3 is coming! I was rewatching the show and, yknow, kinda remembered the massive crush I have for Gohin. There should be more fanfics with him PLEAAAASEE

This oneshot does not contain any NSFW content. The closest you'll get to that is a bit of making out and roaming hands, but not much else.

I tried to make this oneshot work with any prey species (avian, mammal, etc.), so I decided to write it in second person rather than first. Please enjoy!

The moon shone high above the sky of the city as the black market sellers were getting ready to… well, sell. The strong scent of fresh, raw meat of all kinds started to waft through the air as the market came to life.

For most animals who worked at the black market, it meant another long night of dealing with stupid and young carnivores. That also applied to Gohin, but… in a different way.

“Alright… time for work.”

The burly panda thought as he walked towards his office. He eyed all the strangers around him as he strolled, trying to spot anyone that had lost control and let their instincts take over.

Unluckily for Gohin, though… his boyfriend was tagging along. Said boyfriend was just someone he had met a while ago, saved his life after almost getting devoured by carnivores, and they just… clicked.

Why was he coming with Gohin, though? Well, the panda wasn't going to leave his “little guy” alone and wander through the dangers of the night.

“... this place reaks…”

The small prey complained, half of their face covered by a face mask Gohin had gifted to them to cover the smell ever so slightly… not the meat's smell. His smell. If a carnivore without control smelt the scent of an alive prey… that wouldn't be good.

“Stop complaining. We're almost there.”

The panda gruffly replied back quietly as they finally turned towards a dark alleyway. Said alleyway leads directly to the tall building where Gohin works.

“I'm sorry if this is a bother, Gohin.” The prey apologized. “I don't mean to annoy-”

“Save your breath, cute stuff. I was the one who insisted for you to come along, anyway.”

Gohin didn't let his boyfriend finish his sentence.

“... alright, then.”

After settling in the office, the couple started to do their own work. Gohin was focused on his laptop as he checked what patients he had to deal with today, smoking a cigar as usual, while his boyfriend sat on the couch and looked around the apartment, finding the faint scent of incense in the air quite comforting.

It was clear that this place brought back some… memories in the herbivore’s mind. The black market. Gohin knew that it wasn't ideal, but still. It was much better than leaving him alone.

“How… How long do we have to stay here again?”

The herbivore asked, his voice slightly more quiet than usual. He really didn't seem comfortable here, but… Gohin's presence helped a bit, at least.

“Just until I finish this. I'll drop you back home before any of my patients arrive.”

Gohin spoke without even turning to look at you, his eyes glued to the laptop in front of him. That was until he heard you sigh shakily…

“... hey, hun, you okay?”

He asked with genuine concern, standing up from his office chair and sitting next to his boyfriend, wrapping an arm around him.

“Yes, I'm alright… I just don't like the black market…”

“Hmph… I know. We'll be out of here before you know it, alright, little guy?”

Gohin was surprisingly good at comforting… especially after taking in account how he acts with some of his patients.

“Okay… just… can you stay next to me for a moment, please?”

The prey begged, looking up at the panda with those adorable, wide eyes of his. Gohin couldn't say no to that cute face.

“Alright, alright… but I still need to work. Make this quick, will ya?”

Gohin sighed, the smoke from the cigar finally leaving through his nostrils before he picked his boyfriend up and placed him on top of his lap.

This sudden and… slightly intimate position caused an adorable reaction on the prey, a pink blush covering his fluffy cheeks.

“... I sometimes forget how warm you are, big guy…”

The prey chuckled bashfully as he looked up at the massive panda. This position always got him a bit turned on, but he's going to hold back on those urges for now. At least until they get home…

“Can it, cute stuff. Just smother your face on my chest as always.”

Gohin smirked mischievously and, before the prey could even reply, the panda pushed his boyfriend's head right into his furry, white chest. His massive arms enveloped the smaller animal in a tight and warm hug.

“Mmph!”

That adorable little surprised noise that the herbivore made always sent chills down Gohin's spine. Seeing him so flustered and cute like this made him feel good.

“There ya go, honey… Nice and warm…”

Gohin said in a teasing tone, knowing the effect he was having on the smaller animal.

After a little while of those comfortable cuddles, the prey finally raised his head back up, their fur (feathers, scales, whatever they had) messy after nuzzling so much.

“Feeling any better?”

Gohin asked, that smirk never leaving his lips as he continued to take long and deep breaths of his cigar.

“Y-Yes… but-”

“Ohhh no, here's the ‘but’.” Gohin spoke gruffly, his arms not leaving his boyfriend's body just yet. “What else do you want out of me, hm?”

“A kiss would be nice…”

The herbivore spoke nervously, his blush only growing by the second. It was truly endearing to see him like this.

“Heh, such a needy little critter…”

Gohin chuckled before putting his now almost gone cigar away, smoke still coming out of his mouth after he did so.

Before his boyfriend could even retort, Gohin pulled him into a deep and passionate kiss. He knew the little guy liked it rough, but he couldn't go too rough without the risk of hurting him… so there had to be a balance.

Still, the kiss was incredibly enjoyable for the both of them. After just mere seconds of kissing, said kiss went from just regular and passionate to outright making out.

Gohin's tongue crept it's way into the smaller animal's mouth as the kiss continued, both of them let their hands roam over the other's body.

During the passionate haze they found themselves in, Gohin enjoyed all the adorable little reactions and sounds he got out of his boyfriend. He really loved this little guy…

Kitsune Hybrid.

SYNOPSIS: In which (y/n) (l/n) a rare fox that thought would be a myth became famous in the fox's community, since she was a child and one of the popular student in Cherryton Academy for her looks and nina tails.

Fandom: Beastars

CHAPTER ZERO: Kitsune.

Author Notes: Yn is four years younger than Melon. This story does have a harem (both girl and boy).

3RD POV:

Dim lights lit up a child bedroom that was fulled up with toys as a child was peaceful sleeping though the night having no problems noise, as a white female fox approach the bed reaching down to the bed and pulling up the rug that slip off the sleeping child.

"My previous gem... if only you were born as a full fox, then you wouldn't be hatred by the kids." Luna, the fox name, gently pet her daughter head that was puff up by her little fox's ears.

(F/N) was a little different from the children in her neighbourhood, she was a mix species just like that gazelle hybrid next door to them. Though she a special one in the fox's community.

A Kitsune is what she called, a fox with more then one tail, a trickster with supernatural powers.

Outside the apartment was a young gazelle hybrid name melon, he was mix with a leopard which explains the spots on his face. He was eight years old and was doing groceries shopping for his mum.

Once he was at the stairs, a sound of a door squeaking brought his attention, a girl that would make you think that she was a human if it wasn't for the fox ears on top of her head and the nina tails behind her.

"Bye bye mama!" She yelled at the top of her lungs, slemming the door shut, making the gazelle hybrid flinch. Turning her head, the fox girl stared into the gazelle eyed, tilting her head to side her fox ears, going down a little as well, looking at him with curious.

The gazelle eyed the fox before making his way downstairs. Hearing footsteps behind him, glancing, he saw the fox jump down each step as she carefully balanced herself when she landed on it. "Hey! Are you a hybrid, too?" The fox question trying to keep up to the gazelle who just let out a tired sigh.

"..."

"Becase if you are, do you wanna hang out?... I haven't seen a hybrid like me, befoe." The girl exclaimed, getting close up to his face only to get pushed back by the face. "Why are you so annoying?" The gazelle asked, watching as the girl grinned, showing her sharp teeth at him as she grabbed his hand that was holding onto her face, she than held it before jumping up and down shaking his hand each jump.

"Becase you have a smell like you are going through something." She said with a frown, one of her teeth pointing out of her mouth. As the gazelle stared at her in surprise, mouth opened as he just looked at her in shock.

The two stay quiet as the fox girl removed her hold on the gazelle, looking off to the side as if something else got her attention. "... What kind of hybrid are you? And the name is Melon." The gazelle or known as Melon question staring at the fox curiosity.

"Oh me? I am half human and fox! I am kinda a rare case because of my fox bloodline, and my dad said that I am what you call a Kitsune it apart of a folklore of my dad side of the family!" The foxes explained honestly, trying to find any more information about herself. "Oh! The name is (f/n), and I am an only child." She said hands on her hips, smiling softly at Melon, who held back a smile.

Melon continues to walk to the shops with (f/n) following alongside him. Her curious eyes looked everywhere around them, shining brightly as molen continued to walk, glancing back just to see if the Kitsune is not far behind.

After a while (f/n), help Melon carry the bags up the stairs to the apartments once they make their way up to the fifth floor. They stopped when two polices man was trying to calm down a crying fox woman.

"Oh... mama?" (F/n) spoke out loudly as the fox woman, along with the police man looked behind them just to see the little hybrid looking at them with a big smile on her face.

As for Melon, he stared at the fox child with disbelief. 'Don't tell me.. you left your home without your mother knowing.' Melon thought, watching as Luna ran and hugged her daughter, who was still holding onto the bags.

The policemans, a tiger, and a horse walked in front of the pair asking (f/n), who is the boy she is standing next. "Oh! Mel? His my best friend! I want to help him with his groceries." (F/n) explained with excitement as she hugged her mother before side hugging Melon.

After getting the results from the four year old, they left not before giving a warning to Luna and (f/n).

"You little lady, why did you leave the house? You're supposed to have a nap time." Luna explained, pinching (f/n) as she let out a whine as Melon stared at the two foxes that looked like a normal family until his.

Melon cleared his throat, getting the two attention he then pointed at the bags in (f/n) arms, and she let out a surprise "ah" as she gave it to him. The two foxes watched Melon walking to his apartment, unlocking it and walking in.

"Oh.. that's right, is he your friend?... huh dear?"

'I hope he likes the gift..."

With Melon

Melon walked in, seeing his mother already in front of him wearing an apron before reaching her head out and touching his horn in an inappropriately manner, Melon shivered in fear, seeing that look on her face.

When Melon mum stops touching his horn, she leaves to put the groceries away, lifting up one of the bags something hard, falling out, drawing Melon attention.

Picking the wooden that had a note stuck onto it, Melon rash a brow in confusion, clearly remembering that he didn't buy it. 'Did she?' Thought Melon as he opened the note reading to.

「 Hello, Mel!

I hope you love the gift it a fox charm that I can make, really cool, right?! Anyway, the only reason I am writing this is because I am moving soon. My mum and dad got a premonition at work, and they want to get a better apartment but that charm I give you is a token of our friendship if something happens and you don't feel like telling anyone just hug the charm and a spirit lookalike of me and will hug you.

You can even talk to it since it's connected to me, and I will find a way to answer.

Pts: Those police men were really scary.」

Melon felt something coming out of his eyes and landing on the paper, he open the wooden box and saw a very well crave out fox with blueberries around it.

He stared at the wooden fox, bringing it close to him and hugging it. And just like what she said in the note, Melon felt a warm presence hugging him in front.

Just like she thought, he was hugging the wooden fox.

Now, her new journey to a new house starts next week.

"Dear, it's dinner time!"

"Huh? Coming Mama!"

Waezi2′s thoughts on “Beast Complex” chapter 25

So, I know we were all disgusted by the freak South who dated a lizard who was the same species as him(ewww). So I am happy to tell you all that we are going back to some good ol' freaky furry romance.

Better yet, this chapter is about Haru and Legosi!

The main couple of Beastars now practically live together since their universities are pretty close to each other. Haru is doing her third year in college and Legosi, now with a clean criminal record, is doing his first year in college, studying entomology.

Good for you, Legosi :) It is never too late to get back to school!

So, the wolf and the rabbit has been together for three years now and (for the most part) live together. You know what that means...

Oh yeah! They sleep together!

... In separate beds! There is no sex whatsoever!

Haru asks the same question as the rest of us: HOW?!?!?

Well, the first night Haru spent at Legosi's place, the ussual happened:

Like most wolves, Legosi makes small bites when he gets overly exited. Haru didn't get hurt, she got a scratch behind her ear, it's not the end of the world.

But afterwards, their relationship has been... well, casual.

There is no sexy atmosphere between them since the biting incident. They still spend their free time together, but it is almost like they are a middle-aged married couple where they brush their teeth together and everyday stuff like that. It bothers Haru a great deal since she is a college girl and it makes her feel old, makes the two of them feel old. She would like to get wild while she is still young... But to be fair, don't you think you had plenty of fun already, Haru?

I'm not slut-shaming or anything, just saying.

Anyways, Haru contacts Juno. Yep, everyone's favorite queen wolf is back!

Two things I noticed is that Haru now calls her "chan", implying a bit more friendly relationship between the two of them. Second is that even though Juno is here to give Haru input and advise about wolves, we don't get to learn anything about what her life is like right now.

YOU ARE KILLING ME, PARU!!! YOU ARE TORTURING ME SPECIFICALLY BY NOT LETTING US LEARN WHAT HER LIFE POST-LOUIS IS LIKE!

As I was saying, Haru wants Juno to give her advice to kick Legosi's wolf instincts into high gear. Juno is unsure if that's such a great idea(no duh!) but share what would normally make a male wolf... excited.

There is just one problem... Legosi is... well, Legosi.

He is a terrible mix of extremely polite, concerned and dense.

Nothing Haru does triggers Legosi, he misreads the signals completely and Haru starts to wonder if they have simply lost their spark.

Then, one night as Haru goes to bed disappointed that she haven't unleashed the beast so to say, she sees that Legosi is awake.

It's full moon, and Legosi can't help it but to stay up and watch it. Even if it is bogus that the moon should somehow affect wolves, Legosi and his fellow canines are still emotionally attached to it. Haru says she can relate to this to some degree, probably because rabbits have a religious connection to the moon.

This is possibly the first thing their species have in common. So the two of them goes for a late night/early morning stroll, enjoying the beautiful moon.

The two of them just enjoy each other's company, it's nice and quiet. They are not tired from class or trying to study or doing everyday tasks, meaning they can actually connect on a emotional level.

And then we get the twist:

As stated earlier, Legosi accidentally scratched Haru's ear when he got "excited" and Haru assumed it killed the vibe between them. But this seems to imply that he was waiting for the wound to heal completely.

Or maybe it is because they are both relaxed that Legosi feels less anxious.

Either way, they don't spend this night in separate beds.

I'm gonna be honest, it was not the best Haru x Legosi story I read, I would have liked a bit more of the classic Paru insanity. But I very much enjoyed it, and this specific story shouldn't have that much crazy because it is about the lack of insanity in the wolf and rabbit's life. We get to see that Legosi can finally get a real career and even achieve his dream of working with insects and how much they have evolved as an actual couple, not just furry angst and tension between the rabbit and wolf. It also feels like Paru is ending Beast Complex for real this time to focus more on her other projects, and if that's the case then this was a nice way to end it.
