Not a rap line sympathiser just a regular PJM with enough dislike and indifference towards the other 6, but damn the ARMY fandom doesn’t move at all for some of them. You have a collab at your hand with a BIG artist who is doing well on most charts, and you are struggling to move? We are at 3 hours. Still no US no 1? Like? I mean I can wait till tomorrow to see the actual chart performance, but even the YT video is moving barely. It’s not on Bangtan channels, views should move. Yes it’s on Megan’s and yes she’s not the kind to get 100 million views but Dafaq are they stuck at 500k? None of you are tuning in? The best case scenario would be them getting an Apple Music entry because Megan does well there, or the song going viral (it’s almost made for it 12345678 the formula lol). ARMY can scream cry throw up all they want but without a solo fandom none of them are getting anywhere. They have learned to only move when they massive tools and promotion and for chosen members. And I know, people think Jimin is heavily supported by ARMY but honestly it’s because his songs slap. lol. The moment he releases something they don’t enjoy, they will see themselves out. His longevity, reputation and everything else isn’t their concern. They have truly gotten fragmented and incapable.

Because they don't like these songs. Song success does not only come from having more fans. It's not only about them not wanting to move for people who aren't the members they like.

Even if these rapline songs don't get big debuts or first day numbers because they have less fans, then we should at least see longevity or stability. With other kpop groups they have low debut numbers but their songs stay stable on global Spotify for a long time because I guess people do like and listen to those songs.

Rapline do not make music that armys or kpop stans like. And even when they do have a song on their album that people could have liked they don't promote it at all and instead focus all their attention on that terrible title track they've decided on.

Rapline obviously doesn't care about making what is palatable to armys or a wider audience so I don't care about being sad on their behalf. They can't want widespread success when they make music like that.

And it's not only about the genre of music because rap music does extremely well. Sometimes listening to rapline's recent music you can tell they made it with the assurance that it's going to do well regardless. It's OK to say "oooh I made this or that genre, I dabbled in something new" but is it listenable?. All their songs lately sound like an experiment, and not in a good way.

And yes like you said it could do well on apple music or if a part of the song goes viral but I don't understand why everyone thought a Megan collab guaranteed success... she's a black female rapper. Megan has a lot of hype online because she's funny and really likeable but her music can be a hard sell not unless some cute part of it that people do like goes viral and it helps the song a little. Megan's most successful song is WAP and cardi b who was a force on the charts around that time will also be credited for a large part of the song's success.

I found it funny how they all assumed and made these plans because of Megan. First of all you need a collab to get you to move? And second of all, Megan doesn't really pull huge numbers for them to have the expectations they had.

The stability of the song would prove if they really like it or not, regardless of how well or how bad it does on the First day.

And like you said armys do certain things out of spite and jealousy Like removing his songs from their playlists but generally armys and the kpop community does like the music jimin puts out. That's the major reason for his success. Jk's discography is generic pop I guess, but considering the same people who listened to one direction and Justin beiber are now the same people in the kpop community and the army fandom, it makes sense that a lot of them find his music enjoyable.

I just think if you're going to make rap, alternative rnb and these other genres with an audience like armys and kpop stans you have to put a lot of effort into making it good and listenable...

Maybe I'm hyping him up too much but jimin could release a full alternative or rnb album and he would do it perfectly. Because he very obviously takes the listeners into account when releasing music and how he thinks it would sound to them rather than just focusing solely on what he likes and what he thinks fits with the theme of his album. If you don't care about putting out music that your fans like then there's no need to worry about how well it's doing no?

Cns and daechwita and examples that rapline can release music that can be successful. And maybe armys say these songs are good. But I listen to a wide range of music, loved d2 and mono, but I've never really like hobi's music much. I listen to a lot of rap, rnb and alternative music. So if someone like me couldn't get into any rapline music lately and did not like tae's rnb album(mind you rnb is my most listened genre after general pop) then how do you expect armys a fandom full of pop fans to like these songs?

Even the armys and kpop who are into rap music obviously do not like these releases because if they did they would be stability regardless of the streaming numbers.

• They rent out the rooftop terrace for Kunsel's birthday pool party. (Kunsel can barely swim btw. This is red flag #1)

• I would say red flag #2 is Zack and Cloud dragging in a whole Kalua pork while chanting "Pork par-tay!" but it's actually the birthday cake Roche brought in that reads "Happy birthday Knussel"

EIGHT. Years later. And we're still jammin'. I can't believe I missed the anniversary to such a historic part of the channel's legacy. I hope the world can forgive me for being a whole day late and that we can all recover from this scandal together.

Stickerbush Symphony is one of the most revered songs within VGM to a degree I don't think I can describe accurately. The original version from Donkey Kong Country 2 is still arguably David Wise's magnum opus and continues to touch hearts everywhere through its various YouTube reuploads, wheras the equally-beautiful remix in Super Smash Bros. Brawl has its hooks in an entire generation of Wii kids who are forever attached to the theme through its prominence in the Subspace Emissary campaign. It of course has a huge presence on SiIvaGunner too, one I've covered multiple times before, most notably in Sidelined Symphony. Yet the song's presence on SiIvaGunner has branched out into something entirely different, an outright franchise of bangers based on the already banging Brawl remix - all of which started with Stickerbrush Queen.

Yes, you'll have to forgive me for Toonlink-glazing once again...it's likely that not even this will be his final appearance on here, but it genuinely cannot be overemphasized just how much of Season 1's spirit was defined by his contributions. Rips like The Great Weed and Dr. Soulja are just quintessential SiIvaGunner to me, and were my go-to rips to share back in 2016, their comedic timing near unmatched, but Toonlink's versatility as a ripper extended to genuine bangers as well. Case and point - Stickerbrush Queen, the first-ever rip of Brawl's interpretation of Bramble Blast, and one that hit the nail on the head right away with an utmost brilliant idea - to use the track as the backing beat to a rap mashup. Whether or not you have attachment to Trap Queen or Fetty Wap before listening doesn't matter - the two halves of the rip lift each other up in such perfect harmony, that it starts to feel wrong to listen to them in isolation afterward.

In my eyes, a huge part of what makes the mashup work is that its playing to the traits of Trap Queen rather than lifting it into a completely different environment - its beat in the original version has a very similar bright, sparkly sound to Brawl's Bramble Blast, and the contrast between it and the vocals are likely part of how Trap Queen was envisioned. More drastic tone changes in rap mashups can certainly bang, I fucking love Sweatpants Select for that very reason, yet there's something just so elegant about how Stickerbrush Queen does it - it still FEELS different, the Bramble Blast instrumental is undeniably emotional, yet its able to balance itself out through the steady rhythm of Trap Queen's vocals. The break in the middle of the rip, at around a minute in, hits extra hard though - the instrumental additions to Trap Queen changing in turn make it such a memorable part of the whole and unify the two songs amazingly well.

Being uploaded so early into the channel's very first season, during the period of time in which EVERYONE's eyes were on this weird new music uploading channel, Stickerbrush Queen slowly garnered a sort of legendary reputation. Perhaps that was just my view of things, but it was one that got validated more and more as the channel went on. More Bramble Blast and Stickerbush Symphony rips were made over the months and years, ones like Stickerbrush State of Mind and more, that all felt like they were paying tribute to the very beginnings of it all. Eventually, those tributes would become direct - The premiere to Season 6 of the channel, Bramble Blast Collab, includes direct nods to this one rip, and its only one of several examples - most notably, a direct tribute to it on Season 7's RIP² album. This release, 7 YEARS LATER AND WE STILL JAMMIN', is of course also notable for referencing perhaps what the rip is most known for these days - the persistence of one sole commenter who returns to Stickerbrush Queen once a year on its anniversary to remind everyone that, yes, all these years later we ARE still jammin'.

Eight years, huh...that's nutty to think about - and yet even with its age, this one sole rip continues to be referenced all over the place on the channel. Stickerbush Symphony, Bramble Blast,whatever you want to call it (even StickerBRUSH Symphony if you're wrong), continues to live on, celebrated as the legendary piece of VGM it always has been - yet the contribution Toonlink made to its legacy all those years ago feels everpresent in a way that's really fun to see - almost EVERYONE following the channel has heard that one mashup at one point or another. Be it the aforementioned direct arrangement of it on RIP², or this fucking stupid tweet that blew up around the rip's fifth anniversary...its the kind of rip that just brings the community together any time we get to hear a trace of it. The definition of an enduring classic - and yes, we are STILL Jammin'.

How every time I use YouTube just to listen to music I see at least one video with an "AI Cover" of a real-life singer or fictional character getting their voice used for songs without their consent. Like, I'm sorry not sorry, but no, I don't want to see an "AI Cover" of Pinkie Pie and Rarity from FiM singing WAP(yes, I'm not making it up, that's a real video I saw recommended to me before). How ads I see for multiple companies will have AI in them or even outright recommend AI as a tool to use for your business or to write essays or to replace your own voice. I can't even read Quora anymore without the first fucking result I see being a Chat GPT answer: above the answers from real, flesh-and-blood, human beings. And they're fucking wrong. I looked up on Quora if any of Henry VIII's wives knew each other, and the(first) Chat GPT answer very stupidly spits in the face of history and says that all of them died before any of them could meet each other, despite that blatantly not being the case(plenty of the queens were each other's ladies-in-waiting before Henry married them, Seymour for Aragon and Boleyn, and Howard for Cleves, for example). So now you can get inaccurate history fed to you from an AI instead of looking at actual sources given to you by real people! Hooray! 😕

2. he didn’t ALWAYS have his stutter. it developed by the time he was six. also it’s genetic, not any sort of brain trauma or anything - his dad had a stutter when he was young too, but went to speech therapy and eventually fixed it.

3. speaking of which HE DOES HAVE A DAD YALL!!! HE’S ALWAYS OVERSEAS FOR WORK!! VEGA DADDY FOR THE WIN!! and no he’s not abusive or anything either lmao he’s just a busy man.

1. yes she lived in the UK up until she was fourteen. she’s sixteen now. so she’s only been in the USA for about two years and she regrets coming.

Sam: pretty light sleeper. he’ll wake up whenever he hears footsteps, or when his curtains blow in the wind, or when the fridge turns on. he usually peeks under his eyelashes and then just goes back to sleep.

Evelyn: light sleeper. any little noise makes her sit up and check her surroundings, even if it’s just her furnace turning on. she’s still half asleep when this happens though, so she goes back to sleep pretty easily too.

Thomas: DEEP FUCKING SLEEPER LMAO. you think he cares if there’s a nuclear war outside his window? bro as long as it don’t make one side of his pillow hot…

Lucian: deep sleeper when it comes to noise, light sleeper when it comes to any movement in the room. if anyone touches him, he’s up. if anyone applies pressure to the mattress, he’s up. if any footsteps are in the room, he’s up. you get the point. he will jerk awake if he feels someone else is there with him.
