Limelight Series - Chapter 3

Happy Monday Everyone! Here is chapter 3 of the limelight series! If you haven't read chapter two, click here to read it and then come back to read chapter 3.

This series came way of a message/ask from @hobby27 she asked:

"I would love something with Jensen and reader. He sees her when he’s at a convention and he’s bonkers for her. She isn’t so interested in a relationship with him because of the fame. So he has to woo her. Make her understand that he’s not a typical movie/tv star. Slow burn."

So I give you the Limelight series- It's a Jensen x reader (plus size, curvy girl) story, Jensen meets the reader in a bar, he falls fist, she is reluctant of course, but secretly she fell for him the second he walked through the door. So can a small town girl and a celebrity make it work?

Warnings for the whole series: language, multi-pov and switching between the pov mid chapters (sorry I can't help it), Jensen coming off aggressive for a hot second but then cooling off. Some douche side characters and some lovable ones, body shaming, angst, fluff, swoon, Jared is there and Micha is mention.

This story takes place an AU where Jensen is not married but Jared is and has kids.

You walk into the lobby at quarter to seven. You are always early for anything, even for things that stress you out all day and make you second-guess everything. You thought about and composed two 'Sorry, have to bail' texts before giving up and swallowing your fears. 

James, of course, was sending you constant pep texts all day—after you chewed him out for giving out your number and not giving you the heads-up. 

"What! I knew if I told you, you would be mad. And I thought there was no point; he already had it." James tries to justify it over the phone. 

"Yeah, but I could have been prepared and not acted like an ass. I am surprised he even suggested a meeting." You reply, pushing your way through the gallery doors and towards your studio in the back. 

"Come on, of course, he did. He really does like you. Besides, this is what people call a date Y/N, not a meeting."

"Ha! Like me? He doesn't even know me."

"OK, well, he wants to get to know you. He did some impressive groveling."

"The way I heard it, you sold me out for a signed photo and possibly meeting up with Misha."

"He offered, I wasn't going to pass it up! So where are you guys going tonight?"

Opening your studio with the phone tucked between your shoulders, you struggle slightly but manage to get the door open and the lights on. 

"I'm not sure yet. I have until 7 to decide, " you say, somewhat breathless. Tossing your keys on the small table, you go through the room and over to the coffee pot to start it up.

Going through your morning routine, you discuss your options with James before saying your goodbyes and hanging up.

Pulling your phone out, you look to see if Jensen has sent you a 'sorry, I've got to bail text.' It's 7 pm on the dot, and there is no message. 

"Hoping for a bail text?" His low, deep voice filters in through your ears. His breath tickles your neck and pulls you from your thoughts.

Snapping your eyes from the phone, you turn to see him standing there, dressed in dark jeans and a dark purple button-down shirt. His hair is perfectly styled, and his eyes have a slight twinkle, along with the smirk on his face.

Shutting the phone, you slip it back into the pocket of your dark jeans. "No, I'm just checking the time, " you say, trying your best to keep your voice even and confident. 

Don't let it show that you're nervous as hell. You look him up and down, taking a step back. "You look nice," you say.

"Thank you, I have this really hot date tonight. I have to impress her. She thinks I am a womanizer." He jokes, giving you a wink. 

"You look beautiful as always." Paying back the compliment.

Looking down, you're wearing dark skinny jeans and a gray fitted V-neck sweater under your black moto jacket.

"Thank you, " you say, holding back the slide-dive about yourself that pops into your mind. 

You nervously run your hands through your purple pixie hair. "Umm... we should go. There is this great diner a few blocks down…" you start to say, taking a few steps back, but you're cut off by the screaming of fans.

"JENSEN!!!! OH MY GOD, IT'S HIM!!" A few girls walking in the lobby spot you two and start yelling and making a beeline for you two. Well, for Jensen, not you. They push you out of the way and block you from him. 

He does his best, smiling, while out of nowhere, two big security guards come up to block the group of girls from tackling him to the ground. Containing the mob, Jensen gives them each fanservice by signing something of theirs and taking a quick photo. The whole ordeal is over in ten minutes.

Once they are happy and the guards move them, Jensen's eyes find you. Leaning up against the back of a chair, you watch the display of fame firsthand. Keeping your face without expression, Jensen can't tell if you're mad. 

"You OK?" he questions, standing in front of you. 

"Yeah," you reply, keeping your tone neutral. You are not sure if you are or aren't, but what did you expect. 

"The bodyguards coming with?" You question, giving them a nod as you now notice them hanging close by. At a glance, you see they are the same two guys who were with him and Jared last night: Evan and Quinn. 

"Umm... yeah, sorry," Jensen replies sheepishly. "I promise they will sit at their own table." He added that he hoped this would be OK.

Oh, great, chaperones. I haven't had them in forever. Biting your remark, again, it's not his fault, right? 

"Yeah, it's fine." You reply, giving your best smile and looking at them, "You guys like Italian?"

The next day after the date, a coffee shop with James- 

"So, how was it? Tell me everything!" James asks, setting down his coffee and leaning in towards you. After blowing up your phone with texts early this morning, you finally agreed to meet with him at your favorite small coffee shop in Haven.

"I was promised a free drink with no interrogation to get me to come out." You reply, taking a drink. Giving off a look that reads, 'Don't make me relive that date again.'  

"Come on, Y/N, you can't go out with the hottest guy who has ever walked into our bar and not given me details." James wines, sitting back in the oversized chair and giving you his best pout face.

"Oh please, he's not the hottest guy ever, what about…" Trying to divert the conversation away from your date. 

"Stop stalling and spill."

Knowing that he will just keep it up, you cave. "Fine, it was fine."

"Just fine, that's all I get. Way to be a buzzkill."

"OK, OK, it was more than fine. It was nice, he was nice. He said all the right things, acted interested when I talked, and didn't keep the conversation only on him."

"But…"

"No, it's nothing. I mean, I knew that it wouldn't be your typical date."

"What do you mean by that? What happened?"

Back to the date-

"The restaurant is only a few blocks up." You say, once outside of the lobby and on the street. You start to head that way but stop when you don't hear Jensen or Evan and Quinn following. 

You turn to see them standing in front of a black SUV, the door open, and Jensen getting in.

"Yeah, it will be better if we drive there," Jensen says, holding his hand to take yours.

"Really, I mean, it's literally three blocks up. It will take longer to drive there." You say with slight annoyance. Walking back to Jensen.

"If you think the lobby was bad, we'll walk; we'll be lucky to make it before it closes."

Letting out a sigh, "fine." You conceded, taking his hand and getting into the car. 

You give Quinn the address and sit back next to Jensen.

"Besides, this will give us a chance to talk with less prying eyes," Jensen says. 

He gives you a smile, and his thumb rubs the hand that he is holding. "Is this OK?" He asks. 

Pulling your attention to his hand in yours. It feels nice and natural. "Yeah." You reply, looking up at him. 

Letting out a breath, "Not sure how much privacy we will have with those two." You quip, nodding your head towards the front. 

"Don't worry about them. They know how to fade into the background." Jensen reassures you, bringing your hand to his lips.  

"So, what brought you into the city today? Work?" 

"Yeah, I have a studio space close by." You reply, feeling yourself flush with the feel of his lips on your skin. Damn, if you're getting flushed by an innocent kiss on the hand, what's going to happen when he kisses you?

"You're an artist? Cool…but I thought James said you are a chef?" 

"Oh, yeah, well, it's a long story," you reply, not wanting to get into it right now. You look out to see you parked in front of the restaurant. 

"Oh, we're here, " you say, letting go of Jensen's hand, opening the door, and getting out. 

Jensen didn't circle back to her career change, picking up that she wanted to avoid discussing it. She would tell him when she was ready; he was sure of it. Unlike the city just outside the door, the restaurant was a cute, cozy space. 

This place was not overrun with Jensen's fans, so they could have a nice, quiet dinner without interruptions. It felt like an actual date, even with Evan and Quinn sitting a few tables away. 

"Wow, that was amazing food." Leaning back into his chair, finishing off his beer.

"Well, you would take offense if we had gone to a great barbeque joint, you being from Texas." You joke, finishing off your wine and leaning back in your chair.

"Oh, well, we have to go there next time. Maybe bring Jared and Genevieve."

"Yeah, maybe. It's in Haven, so the next time you guys are in for a convention." Don't hold your breath; there will be a next time. 

"The convention wraps up in a few days, right? Where are you guys off to next?" You question. 

"This was our last stop for a few weeks. So, I am free once we wrap this one up."

"Oh, cool, well, I am sure you're excited to return home."

"I guess I know Jared is; he hates being away from Genevieve and the kids."

"Yeah, I bet."

"Hey, Jensen, we should get you back." Evan's voice interrupts. He is standing beside the table, with Quinn standing slightly behind him. 

Jensen looks at his watch and then at Quinn, "I think we're good. Why don't you guys head back? Y/N and I can find our way."

"Sir, I don't think…" Evan starts to protest, but Jensen cuts him off.

"I do. Besides, I think you should be hitting the sack early after last night." Giving him a stare-down that would make anyone think twice about speaking up.

"Come on, Evan. It's three blocks. I am sure they will be fine." Quinn jumps in, trying to placate Evan and diffuse a situation before it starts.

Evan gives Quinn a stare-down before looking back at Jensen and you.

"Fine, let's go, Quinn," he says passive-aggressively. Turned on his heels and walked out the door, not waiting for further orders.

Quinn gives you a half smile before following after his coworker. You watch them walk out and shake your head.

"I feel sorry for Quinn; Evan is an ass." You say, playing with your empty wine glass. 

****

Back at the coffee shop with James-

"OK, so yeah, you had to deal with bodyguards? But it sounds like Jensen made a point to make the date feel real?" James states, being on team Jensen. 

"Yeah, he did." You agree, finishing off your drink. Waiting for a second, decide whether to keep telling your date's story or leave it there. 

"What?" James questions, seeing that there is more to this tale.

"Yeah, let's just say the date should have ended at the restaurant." Your voice is slightly cryptic.

Back to the date- 

Walking out of the restaurant, the temperature dropped as the sunset. Pulling your jacket close to you, you turn to head towards the hotel. Jensen grabs your hand and intertwines your fingers with his. 

"We don't have to head back to the hotel right away. It's not like I have a curfew or anything." He jokes. 

"I don't know, Evan might send out the National Guard if you're not back soon." You joke. 

"Oh, come on, let's do something. Is there any place in the city you would like to go? " he asks, desperate not to have this night end and to return to the hotel room. He wishes he were anywhere else with her. 

You can see the hit of despair. Biting on the corner of your lip, trying to think of somewhere to go, his voice breaks your thoughts.

"Please stop biting your lip. It's very distracting, and I am trying to be a gentleman here and not the manhandling ass from last night." His voice was deep and slightly commanding. Giving you a wink, the hit of playfulness takes over. 

Letting go of your lip, you have so many thoughts about how to respond.

"You weren't an ass." Your confidence falling you; what you wanted to say was, 'Maybe you should be biting it.' 

"Humm…well, if we were in Haven, we could go to Lights Park. Around this time, the dessert trucks move in, and they have a classic old movie playing. The Park has all these amazing light sculptures throughout. It's a fun place to explore." 

"Sounds nice; let's go," he says, grabbing his phone. 

"I will call Quinn, have him bring the car, and we can go." He swipes the phone open and calls Quinn.

"No, No, Jensen, it's getting late. And I don't want to put Quinn out, to drive us out there." You quickly backtrack your idea. Letting go of his hand, you take a few steps back until your back hits the brick building.

"It's no trouble, really, plus Quinn will just bring us the car he's not coming with," Jensen reassures her, seeing her kindness and thinking of others is taking over. 

"Hey, Quinn, can you bring the car to Broadway and Park? We're just a block away. Yeah, we're going to take a drive. No, don't get Evan; you can bring the car." Shaking his head, he rolls his eyes, causing Y/N to giggle. 

He hangs up the phone, not waiting to hear more of Quinn's protest and talk about protocols. He would rather listen to Y/N laugh and see that smile back on her face. 

"He will be here in two minutes, " he reassures her, giving her a smile and putting his phone away. 

Closing the gap that she created, he locks his eyes with her. He takes in her beauty, the sun dipping past the steel buildings and the light wind wrapping her scent of lavender and lilac around him. Bringing his finger to brush her cheek lightly, the city seems to fall away. 

"I would really like to kiss you now," he whispers, asking for permission and waiting for her to tell him if he is going too fast. His breath mingles with her; he can feel her heartbeat increase. 

She is about to speak when the sound of a camera going off and a flash of light breaks our bubble, and reality forces its way in. 

"Jensen, over here! Who's the girl?!" The cameraman yells from the street. 

Jensen raises his hand to shield Y/N from the camera. She turns her head away from him, and the lights go off. Suddenly, more cameras show up, and the few people walking on the other sidewalk stop to see the commotion. 

"I'm sorry. Let's go," he says, grabbing her hand and walking towards the hotel. Rounding the corner, a mob bigger than the last one is coming towards them. 

"Shit!" He says, slight panic sets in. Looking around, hoping to see Quinn and the car, he's nowhere. 

He's about to turn and tell her to run when Quinn pulls up and uses the car to block the mob of fans that are running their way. Pulling the door open, he lets her get in first and follows. Telling Quinn to just drive and get them out of here. 

"I am so sorry," he keeps repeating. He's desperate and hoping this won't put you off seeing him. It's only sometimes like this.

"It's fine; I get it," she replies, looking at him. "Really, Jensen, I am fine." She gives him a half smile. 

"But we should call it a night. God knows I am not the most inconspicuous date you could have." You joke, pointing out your hair and overall appearance. 

"Yeah, but I like your look." He responds.

"Quinn, can you drop me off at Park and 25th? " You say, letting Jensen's comment fade. He's just being nice; remember, he doesn't go for girls like you.

NEW Enhanced Edition - CHICON 2010 - Mishalecki Breakfast Panel

My latest video is up! This is a rare U.S. Jared and Misha panel. They have a fun dynamic with Jared's playful humor and Misha's dry sarcasm. If you haven't seen my posts before and want more details about what I'm doing, see the bottom of the post.

92% of the footage came from the video AgtSpooky sent me. It was already on YouTube, but not properly credited to her. Most of the audio came from a different source, and I used a few other sources to fill in small sections of both video and audio. All sources are credited in my video description.

Video Quality Notes

As usual, the breakfast video quality is lower than the main panels. AgtSpooky's video came out the best and clearest overall, but the quality does fluctuate. She also had a more sideways angle, so we don't always have a clear view of their faces depending on which direction they're facing. The other videos with a more direct view were usually quite blurry, so I mostly stuck with AgtSpooky's because I thought her clearer profile view offered better visibility than a blurry direct view. There were a couple short clips with good quality and a direct view, and I cut to those when I could.

The main panels have much better quality and a more direct view, so my next set of videos will look better.

Subtitles

Many of you know that I subtitle Jared and Jensen in red and blue because those were their mark tape colors on the set of Supernatural. When I tried to find Misha's mark tape color, I found this post which has photos indicating it was probably yellow.

I've used yellow to represent the fans at the mic during the main panels since I started this project. At the time, I hadn't thought ahead to the likelihood that I'd eventually subtitle Misha too. Since my YouTube statistics show that nearly half my viewers watch with the subtitles turned on, I don't want to cause confusion by switching up my colors after all this time.

I did want to give Misha's color some symbolism that fans would likely recognize though, so I subtitled him with orange in honor of his apparent penchant for wearing orange underwear.

This video was more difficult to subtitle than most I've worked on so far, so you may see more than the usual dreaded [inaudible].

What's Next

I've started working on the main panel from this same convention. It starts off as a solo Misha panel, then it becomes another Mishalecki panel, then it becomes a J2M panel. I plan to split them up into 3 videos, the same way I treated the Jared/Jensen/J2 panels that ran one-after-the-other at other conventions. This will keep them a more manageable length so that it won't take me an eternity to publish a new one, and it allows people to more easily watch just the video(s) with the actor(s) they're interested in.

Although my project is more focused on Jared and Jensen, I do plan to do the solo Misha panel. I had promised a while back that I'd probably do Misha's solo panels if I happened to have any good-quality, mostly-complete videos of his panel that I could use at the time I was working on other videos from the same convention. That probably won't happen often, but in this case I have a video like that from AgtSpooky.

A recap for anyone not familiar with this project…

In December 2023, I started this project to enhance old convention videos. I'm upscaling the videos and making other visual improvements, adding extra content to clarify various references, and adding human-generated, color-coded subtitles so you can better understand the sometimes-chaotic audio. The subtitles can be auto-translated to other languages via YouTube.

My goal is to publish the best, most complete, and most watchable versions of these older convention panels yet seen, but this is only possible thanks to the fans who captured the footage in the first place and were generous enough to share it with other fans. My video descriptions on YouTube will always credit my sources.

If you have any old convention videos you'd be willing to contribute to this project, please message me! I can also be reached at DetailTilted@gmail.com. Even if your videos are on YouTube, the original files, if you still have them, may upscale much better. If I can get them to upscale, I'd happily send the upscaled files back to you for your own collection whether I use them or not.

Art Masterpost: The Beginning Story by emmbrancsxx0 (@valleydean) Art by sidewinder (@hawkland)

When I saw an endverse story up for claims in this year's @deancashorrorfest — particularly one exploring the beginnings of how it all came to be — I knew I had to get my grubby, greedy hands on it. When I found out it was written by none other than @valleydean, I may have made some hqppy screeching noises to rival Castiel's true voice. Getting to do art for one of my favorite writers is always exciting, if sometimes anxiety-inducing, but I ended up having an absolute blast working on these with Mallory and am really happy with how they turned out. Thank you for being such an amazing partner to work with, and I'm so excited for everyone else getting to read the story now!

Thank you as well to @kingdumbass for organizing Horrorfest once again, and creating one of my favorite little Destiel communities on the net. It's always a ton of fun and I love how you keep the server going & engaging year round.

Some rambling comments on the art & my process below the cut.

As usual these were all done in watercolor with a little bit of black & white acrylic pen work for fine details and lines. I used rough/cold press paper for all of these to keep a consistent feeling and because it's always my favorite for doing any portraits and where I want a lot of blending control.

The hardest thing for me was deciding which of the many memorable scenes and moments I wanted to illustrate in the time I had available. I had a pretty clear vision for the title art early on: to show Dean & Cas at the beginning of it all, with a collage of elements of destruction behind them and doing the title text in the "Croatoan graffiti" style. There were a bunch of different reference shots combined for that one: screencaps from 5x04, a later-season shot of Dean & Cas walking together to get their positions how I wanted, etc. My Cas "face" reference was actually from Stonehenge Apocalypse as I wanted him looking a little more human/hopeful than standard s4-5 Cas as he's pretty low on grace but still has a little "angel mojo" left.

(As Mallory commented when I shared it as a WIP, "That's a man who's about to be destroyed!" :D D:)

I'm also really glad I was able to get the painting to Mallory at DC-Con! You can see in the pic that it's pretty big (16"x20") to get all that detail in!

For the next piece, there's a small scene of Dean and Cas on the road under smoke-filled skies, past a "God Saves" billboard that just struck me. I'd just driven out to Pittsburgh and back on the PA Turnpike so used some quick reference snaps I took combined with photos of the hazy skies from the Canadian wildfires earlier this year to get the atmosphere I wanted. I tried to keep some of the same washed-out colors and feeling of the title piece for that, save the color of the sky.

For the rest, I wanted to do one piece each of Cas and Dean at critical moments in their journey through the story. Cas facing himself in the shattered glass of a pharmacy cabinet was a moment I knew I had to try to capture. It reminded me of that amazing shot of Misha in Gotham Knights, with Harvey and the smashed mirror, so that was definitely in my mind as a visual reference.

Cas himself is a combination of some Purgatory screencaps and some out-of-character Misha pics from here and there to get his hair the way I wanted it to look (even if I ended up painting over most of it with interference silver watercolor to create the effect of the shattered glass. Here's an in-progress look:

The Dean rooftop piece is one I'd had in my head as soon as I read the passage in the story, but it was the last piece I tackled. The city in flames behind Dean was pretty much done in one shot as a spontaneous wet-in-wet wash...though it was a little eerie and unsettling working on it this past week with current events playing out on the tv while I painted.

Finally, I really wanted to do a piece showing Dean and Cas as they are near the end of the story compared to how they started out. This one came together in a really fast burst of inspiration - I think one day drawing and two days painting because it's smaller than the others (12"x6") and I wanted it to be really close up and intimate. A small but delightful set of JPEGs from SPN Charlotte, starting with this adorable R2M where the instruction was "We're all going to squish Robbie." What is Rich doing? No one knows! But it sure is funny.

Gather round for story time on these next few. I had decided I was going to be brave and do the leaning against the car pose for my Jensen/Baby. Go into the op thinking I'm going to tell the handler this but she walks away right when it's my turn and I'm left to deal with Jensen on my own. Strike one for me being flustered. So I tell him what I want and then get into position against the car and I'm looking down making sure my hands are in an okay spot by my sides and he goes, "No, give me your hand." I do, and he proceeds to place it on his shoulder and hold it. Strike two for me being even more flustered.

I finally look at him and he is way closer and staring way more intently than anticipated and that was strike three. My face immediately starts to break and I am just desperately trying to hold it together long enough for the two snaps and not bust out in giggles. By the time I decided I had fought it long enough I'm curled over with my head practically on his shoulder in embarrassed laughter apologizing, and he's got my arm and goes, "That was so smooth. SO smooth."

The op turned out way better than I was expecting given what it felt like in the moment, but you can definitely see in the close up that we are both trying not to laugh.

Took me a while after that op to recover myself. And then I start panicking because I had already selected another pose for my solo that involved looking him in the eye and in my head I'm thinking, "He's going to think I'm nuts trying this again."

So I go in for the solo with a reference photo and after the handler shows it to him, I walk up and go, "I'm going to keep my shit together this time." And he says, "I don't believe you." And then I proceeded to stare him down like a pro. And after the photo was done he went, "You did it! Look at you!" Yes, yes, I did, thank you very much.

Is it just me or does it look like he is staring extra intently trying to break me?

Finally, moving on to Sunday, we've got this adorable Misha/Alex with kitty ears and bouncy pumpkins. A'int we all cute?

Being part of such a big show like Supernatural is always breathtaking, especially getting to meet all the other big stars and my fans. I never expected to have such an impact or make a family with J2M. Jared and Jensen immediately took me under their wings when I joined in season seven as Sam and Dean’s little sister - Eleanor aka. Nell

Being anxious and an actor is always something interesting but I have such an amazing family backing me and getting rid of any awkward questions aimed my way during conventions. I love conventions and red carpets, being able to meet my own idols of which I have plenty. I find it so much fun talking to them and getting the fans opinions on everything. My fans are my biggest critics and they’re how I improve. 

Tonights a red carpet for our season 13 with Alexander Calvert. He’s very cute and bubbly and I love him like a little brother and the fans seem to love him even more. He’s going to be big, I just know it, especially when the fans scream at him wrapping his arms around my waist and hugging me as the cameras flash.

“Heyyy Y/N,” Jensen appears at my other side, elbowing me and leans down enough he can whisper quiet enough the cameras and paparazzi don’t catch it, “Your man crush is over there, go say hi.” 

I follow his gaze to see the one and only Pedro Pascal. He guest starred in an episode but sadly I never got to see or meet him as it wasn’t with me. My character was off with Kelly and Castiel while Pedro was with Jensen and Jared and I will admit it broke my heart a little as I have always had a huge crush on the sweetheart. He looks drop dead in that crisp white suit and black bowtie. His hair is so fluffy and I just wanna run my hands through it from here. 

“Go!” Alex is agreeing and I’m being pushed in Pedro’s direction so lightly jog over, trying not to trip over my dress. It’s a beautiful thing, not my personal choice but I have to admit it looks beautiful and it makes me feel beautiful when I’m quite a rough and tough person having been around J2M for pretty much eight years. It’s black and flows, making me feel like a character from a fairytale, the sleeves off the shoulder and it sparkles in the flash of the cameras. I think it’s made from a mixture of satin and lace with how light it is despite how heavy and full it looks. It seems my stylist was going for a vintage look as my strawberry blonde hair is pinned back in light curls, it reminds me a longer version of Susan Pevensie’s hair from the last movie where Lucy becomes Susan. I feel beautiful. 

“Hi,” I place a trembling hand on Pedro’s shoulder, causing him to turn to see me. His face breaks into that contagious grin as he looks me up and down with no abash. It has me flushing a bright red, especially when he makes room for me, wrapping a large hand around my waist. 

“Hi there mama,” Pedro’s voice is like velvet and has me weak at the knees. He’s pulling me flush against the side and begin to pose for the paparazzi again, a huge grin on his face so I compose myself and do the same, putting my arm around his back. He’s a lot taller than I realise so it’s easy for me to rest my head on his shoulder and I think I’m going to go deaf at the sound that erupts from the fans as Pedro glances down at me with a look that makes me balling his jacket in the hand that’s around his back. He lips are suddenly near my ear as he whispers “Easy darlin,” while his thumb rubs soothingly at my hip. 

We have move on so Jared and Gen can take our stops and I prepare to go back to Alex as Misha has Vicki and Jensen has Danneel but Pedro grasps my hand in his calloused one. I stumble slightly but he steadies me and my mind races because this is going to be big news and everyone is going to realise I have the biggest crush on Pedro Pascal… who is leading me to the next photo spot. 

The cameras continue to blind me and I have to grip Pedro’s hand tighter as I can feel my anxiety bubbling. I usually try to do the red carpets quickly and usually Jensen; Jared and Misha there to ground me. This beautiful man beside seems to understand what’s happening and is sending one last wave at the cameras before he’s leading me towards the Entertainment Weekly interviewer. 

“Hello there mommy and daddy,” She greets us and feel myself flush again as this never happens to me. I can’t remember her name as I was meant to only talk to a tiktoker turning interviewer as I’m not as big as my on screen brothers. 

“Hey there,” Pedro sends her an amusing smile, keeping a tight grip on my waist. 

“Well this is a nice surprise, I’m a little star stuck right now,” The interviewer turns her attention to me, “I have to admit I’m a huge fan of you and your character, Eleanor Winchester for those who don’t know.” She glances back at the camera and I’m subconsciously grabbing Pedro’s free hand, hoping the camera doesn’t pick up on. 

“Oh! Well, thank you.” I’m laughing nervously, “I’m also star stuck!”

“You’re the star here,” Pedro nudges me and I can just hear all the fan edits about to be spamming my social media feeds in the morning but I don’t care because I’m currently pressed against the Pedro Pascal and he’s acting like I’m the big star, not him. Somehow I feel like royalty, even when the interviewer gets on with her planned interview with Pedro and I’ve never felt like this. I just alternate between watching the way Pedro throws his head back in a hearty laugh every time the interview flirts with me and the way the cameras are flashing blindingly. I should be panicked and breathless right now but that hand on my hip is flexing every so often and somehow it keeps me grounded and this is probably the first red carpet I’ve been able to breathe.

“Well, here’s the question I think most will be asking in the morning, is there something here?” The interviewer is asking, her question making my head snapping round so fast I’m surprised I don’t get whiplash, watching Pedro to see what he says as I try to slow my breathing. 

“I wouldn’t mind having a date with miss Y/N here but we’ll have to see.” He’s sending her wink then pulling me even closer to him and I just look at the camera and fake swoon, laughing lightly in shock. 

“I think I’m hallucinating,” I tell her and it causing everyone in earshot to break into laughter as Pedro presses a kiss to my cheek, the light drag of his beard taking the air from my lungs, “Definitely hallucinating.” 

“She says yes,” Jared’s towering frame appears behind us both, patting Pedro on the shoulders, “Of course she wants to go on a date with Pedro.” 

“A date it is it seems.” Pedro’s grin seems to get wider and I’m not really sure what’s happening right now. I might have a date with the Pedro Pascal and my two older brother figures may have set me up it seems, especially from the way Jared and Jensen high five as they walk away and the way Gen sends me a wink. 

Oh my fucking god. I’m going on a date with Pedro Pascal.

He was so nice I was low-key losing my shit after meeting Jensen, we took the photo with him first (just a normal side hug with me and my sister on each side) and exiting that going straight in line for Jared. I was shaking there was a pause in the line for a bit and then Jensen just appeared next to me??? Walking past and I was just confused Pikachu looking back and forth across the room to my sister and back to Jensen, I didn’t have my phone on me and didn’t know what to do cause he just appeared (all he did was walk past but that’s enough for me).

Anyway I was very much shaking and was so nervous, I felt like I looked like a wreck and didn’t know how the photo was gonna go since ahbl12 was my first con, but guys I shit you not it became my turn and I stared right into this gorgeous man’s eyes said hi…I think I blacked out cause he had his arms slightly opened and I just walked into them, I genuinely don’t remember what happened I think my eyes started watering cause it was such a genuine hug and just looked at the camera and smiled.

I don’t think I could’ve ever asked for a better photo I’m so genuinely happy in that moment and life has been a lot as of late and it felt like that all disappeared, I don’t usually smile with my teeth showing anymore but it just appeared naturally, Jared is such a genuinely great guy and I’m so glad I leaped at the chance of getting the ticket and going.

He was so incredibly nice at the autographs too, Jensen as well but I could tell both of them were absolutely beat they looked so tired, Jensen is intimidating and I was rendered speechless when I got him to sign my Dean funko pop, I was also the only one in line everyone else at that point was waiting in Jared’s line so I felt extremely isolated and awkward 🫣 like what do I do what do I say. Jared I gained some of that courage back and went for it, I was able to thank him for just generally being amazing and how much meeting him meant for me, which I haven’t really told anyone it feels like one of those moments I just had to keep to myself. He put his hand on his heart and I didn’t wanna get in trouble for continuing on so I wished him a good night and left. I don’t know how I got through the day without crying (I am a very emotional person especially when it comes to my fandoms), I cried in the hotel room after lmao

It was really just the best day ever and I’d do it a million times over. I rightfully have that photo on fucking everything, I won’t shut up about this until the next con and even then I still won’t shut up about it. Just meeting the cast and doing something like this, I’ve wanted to do something not even relating to supernatural but just conventions themselves seem like some of the coolest things to be able to attend (America obviously having the better half of that spectrum over Australia but I’ll take what I can get).

Okay, so I’m going to move past me knee-jerk annoyance over CE being passive aggressive about Jared by calling Jensen THE Headliner in a few emails now. I mean, jared is only at half, or less of the cons this year, and maybe he even stipulated that this is the last year with them. Eithe way, Jared distancing himself is clearly his decision, seeing how many other cons he’s signing up for.

So, moving on from that … I find it absolutely insane that CE is doubling down on the Jensen only cons (as headliner) for 2025 when it’s barely 2024. CE hasn’t even done a single con yet this year, and the ones without Jared are largely not selling well as it is. Why do they think this is enticing to anyone but AAs? I’m not sure how late in the year J2 cons are comparing because they are so far off, but the ones up until August are selling out, or pretty well. At least they seemed to learn their lesson on trying to make Misha a headliner, or banking on cockles panels to appeal to the majority of fans. But, not having J2 takes away almost all the appeal of a CE con, because if your only getting one, you might as well go to a comic con or something, where it’s considerably cheaper.

Anyway, I looked at the 2025 con, and the Gold Pass prices are still similar to the ones this year, include J2 cons, and Jensen' Photo Op prices have gone up. This is wild to me in what will be 5 years after the last season of the show. I get that they must be getting desperate, but that just doesn’t even make sense to me. People are still trying to scrape money together for cons later this year, never mind 2025. There can only be so many rich women with free time to go to the ever-more-extensive CE cons, and who need to get close to Jensen that badly. Even if Jensen has a significant part on Season 5 of the Boys, I still don’t see him selling out cons with him alone as headliner. I don’t see him doing anything to bring in new fans, especially the type to want to pay big money to go to cons.

I’ve already seen friends on SM talking about being glad they already have cons booked for this year, because they were already unhappy with changes CE is making in cons, their greed, and now this development. Lots of people look like they will be opting out of CE cons after this year, and that’s from people who go fairly regularly.

I want to go to one last con this year, but I’m debating if I want to give CE my money any more at all. But, this might be among the last chances to see J2 together (which I enjoy), so I’m still considering it.

I think we have reached the end of an era in the SPN fandom, or we are at least in the final gasp.

It appears that Burbank is the weakest of the non-Jared cons this year, so I suppose the others could pull out better numbers, but you are definitely right that this feels like the last desperate gasp of a dying tradition, especially if, as you say, even regular con-goers are giving up.

I still think Jared will attend some CE cons (possibly one a quarter), especially if they do another in Austin, but mainly to maintain his SPN legacy.

This will be a very telling year for Creation and I suspect that as the year progresses, we'll see more discounted tickets (MinnCon 2025 tickets are already on sale), and likely a reduction in the number of cons for 2025 (no matter how much certain actors rely on them... CE can't keep paying the actors' attendance fees if the ticket sales won't cover them.)

Can I ask you your experience at conventions? Did you meet J2M or just Misha?

Hi! Of course you can. I have a lot to share. I met J2M and many of the other cast members (you can ask me about interaction with any specific cast member in other messages, if you'd like. I love getting asks). It wasn't their fault specifically, but I didn't have what I'd call a "good time" at these conventions. I went to multiple because I hoped that my experience would be better. That it would be different this time... and it wasn't. There's always loud music during photo ops and autographs. It was too loud to talk or tell them the pose that I wanted for photo ops. It was too loud for them to hear me say "thank you". This is a long reply, so I put the experiences under the "keep reading".

Before I talk about my experiences with J2M, I would like to begin with saying that I don't hate any of them. I'm not a fan of CE conventions, but I don't necessarily hate them, either. Would I go to another CE con? Not likely. Many people have amazing experiences at these conventions, but I just found CE conventions to be highly overstimulating.

With Misha, even when I wasn't with that toxic waste monster of a friend (who will remain unnamed because even though I feel that people should be warned about her, I'll never say her name because that's just not the kind of woman I grew to be), he was always focused on someone else. It wasn't his handler (lol, that makes him sound like a zoo animal, but that's what that person was called!) or the photographer... it was always another fan who hadn't left yet. So while other fans might've had a great experience with him, if I was right after them, I got the short end of the stick. 50/50, I can't blame him, but also... I can, a little. That other fan's time was up in the panel Q&A.

Jensen has always been my favorite. I'm a "Dean girl", through and through. I don't think it's enough to be called a "stan", though. I had the most positive experiences with him. His attention was on me, he called me sweetheart, gave me a hug, and during autos at VanCon, when my voice began to shake as I was trying to talk to him (nothing heavy, I'm just a nervous, shaky person), he held my hands and said just what I needed to hear in that moment (that I was a strong, smart, and beautiful person and that I could do this, and could do anything). He did not even have to do that. I wasn't expecting it. He wasn't obligated to say a thing. I was so blown away (and a bit confused) by his kindness.

Most of my interactions with Jared were pretty awkward. At MinnCon 2017, I brought a poster for them all to autograph. I wasn't aware that it was photoshopped until Jared said something about it. He said, about Castiel, something like, "oh, the ugly angel guy in the trench coat wasn't even there for that photo". He then ignored me and looked past me (when it was still my turn) at my toxic waste monster friend and said, "and you brought me such a beautiful woman!". Oh. Huh. Okay. Whatever.

At VanCon 2019, I had a J2 op that I shared with a stranger to cut costs. This was an awkward experience but ... not all negative. I was 330 lbs and hated the way that I looked. I just wanted a hug from Jensen, that was it, so I told him that I didn't want to show my face, and Jared overheard. At my solo Jared op, he asked me if I wanted a hug, and he gave me a hug (one that hid my face), and I was confused because I didn't see the flash. That's the photo I thought I wanted; what gives? Then, he held me at arms' length and said, "No. I want to see your pretty face." That was oddly sweet, and it ended up being a really cute photo.

I was one of the first people in Silver to get Jared's autograph at VanCon 2019. Like with Misha, I told Jared about my autism and how I appreciated him and how kind and patient he was with me, and while I wasn't expecting much (because he has no obligation to say anything either), I got even less. He just nodded and said, "thank you" and turned his attention to the next person. At the time, that felt... not good. I wasn't upset, nervous, crying, etc., and I just felt... brushed off. I don't know how so many people get so much more attention, not that I wanted it, I was just... y'know, I don't even know why I felt the need to disclose the autism. I think I just felt bad for causing (what I thought was) a problem during photo ops, and just... not being able to make solid eye contact or talk or act like a normal person. Before therapy, it was hard not to feel like a problem, so... I was always apologizing, explaining myself, overexplaining, letting people walk all over me, etc., I am the way that I am because of a disability.

So as everyone knows Elta weasled her way into the Wales comic con. That has me questioning what was the con promoter/booker thinking?! I think Misha was originally supposed to go but backed out. So they got Elta to fill that spot. Which out of the 2 I would have preferred Misha. Cause we all know Elta is going to go for the cringe PDA kiss like she did at the con she went with him to last year. She has no reason to actually be there her character was useless. It brought nothing to the plot taking her character out changes nothing. She has nothing to contribute since she was in only 5 episodes. Also despite what she says when she claimed she knew all of Cas’s lines we all know that is a lie. Why is it a lie? Cause Jensen exposed her saying she basically only watched 5 episodes which knowing her it was the episodes she was in. Elta was in Supernatural for 2 reasons first reason she didn’t want to be a liar. Fans had asked her when was she showing up in Supernatural. She replied on Twitter if Supernatural made it to season 13 she would appear. Her character shows up Sesason 13 episode 13. Also her saying if it made it shows she had no faith in the show or her husband. The main reason she was on there is cause Gen was on there in season 4 and people talk about how she fell in love with Jared. We all know Elta tries to one up Gen every time. So she begged Jensen to get her on there. I still think someone hated her cause her character Anael take out the e it’s Anal which she can be at times. I just know Jensen’s joy will not be there. We won’t see that eye crinkling beautiful true smile of his we will see the fake one he gives when he is not feeling it.

I know I am rambling I am sorry just miffed she weasel her way into a con. But what I find hilarious is the pics they used to advertise her looks like two different people. One is her as Anael the main pic is from her early days before all the fillers and Botox. I believe it’s from her OTH days. But it looks like 2 different people there. Her “fans” want to say oh she is just getting older she didn’t have work done. Uh yeah she did have work done. If you get a picture of Danneel from OTH to now you can literally see she has work done cause she looks unrecognizable. If Jensen wasn’t with her people wouldn’t know who she is. Can’t wait to see what new face, horrible clothing choice and messy hair style she has then.

Yeah. Anael/Sister Jo had zero reason to be in the plot. And the writers had to have known what they were doing by making Anael a materialistic bitch.

Yeah. Elta basically forced Jensen to get her added to Supernatural because she wanted to be involved, and used the Destiel fandom to harass and abuse her husband as well. She wanted the attention and loved how uncomfortable it was making Jensen. It's also why she kissed Misha's ass and gave him a lap dance.

Yes… Jensen will be miserable in Wales. I'm not looking forward to his sad smiles.

It's already been a month since Jib11 and I still can't believe this actually happened.

Such a surreal but absolutely amazing experience!

The boys were so sweet even tho they were obviously very tired.

Jensen is even more beautiful in real life and very classy yet so funny and charismatic. And when I told him my sister loved him as Red Hood's voice actor he thanked me and you could see how unexpected but pleasing it was to hear for him!

Misha was so cute but seemed almost shy at times. When I told him I'm going to get a Castiel tattoo he actually added the heart to his signature and thanked me with a really big smile and wink!

And it was actually Jared who surprised me the most. When I came up for my photo he immediately opened up his arms and pulled me in tight and afterwards rubbed my back and made sure I was okay bc I was shaking so badly and called me sweetie. I wasn't very happy with my expression on the photo but when I went to get it signed he took a few seconds to look at it and then he told me I had a nice smile. He obviously didn't know that I was initially absolutely devastated about it and that small comment absolutely turned around my view and now I really love the photo. I also showed him my "Always keep fighting" tattoo and he sincerely thanked me for it. He was so sweet and warm and keep throwing kisses and winks around called me sweetie at least 3-4 times during the autograph!

I can only recommend attending Jibcon to every supernatural fan. Obviously it's not perfect but overall I don't regret a single moment! I met the boys, had an absolute blast with my friend I made because of supernatural and met some amazing fellow fans. Some of which didn't hesitate to give a newbie like myself advice left and right, which I really appreciate!

You have a very clear, very intentional negative bias against Misha, and Vicki. Of course you’re going to see certain situations and twist them to fit your narrative, often seemingly taking away the agency of the others involved, including (but not limited to) the fans he met at a club (nearly 8 years ago) who were consenting adults.

Regardless, Misha doesn’t have a record of anything with fans — beyond being open and genuine and giving with his time and self. Oh, and apparently the kind of behavior from those who might as well call themselves fans since they’re so obsessed with his every life detail and trying to paint him in a bad light for merely existing differently.

He wouldn’t be as popular as he is, have the stellar reputation in the industry that he does, or have the many fan-beloved close friends he has (Jensen, Jared, their wives etc) if he was truly the horrible person some people seem to wish him to be.

He doesn’t have a stellar reputation but the things he’s guilty of aren’t things that the people around him have any problem with. Misha told a story about Vicki pissing on the side of the street next to a strip club and yelling at the people walking around them “don’t go in there, I’ll show you for free!” While exposing herself and that is enough to be arrested and charged as a sex offender in literally every state. The girls who were at that club and he made out with and tried to hook up with were over 18 yes but they were only 19, teenagers who weren’t old enough to drink legally but we’re drunk by their own admission. Misha is well aware of how little it takes to be black out drunk because his cute little story about hooking up with Vicki for the first time was when they were both black out drunk as teenagers, and she had bruises all over her thighs but neither of them could remember how it happened.

i don’t think being friends with Jared and jensen means anything for his character. Jensen said that he would want Benny to return recently but the actor that played Benny got drunk and made out with people in the audience at the first convention he went to. Rich denied giving him real alcohol so ty accused the fangirls of roofing him. I don’t trust Rich either though because there is there is another fan photo with misha we’re these girls were saying that they found him with Rich at a gay bar, and Vicki’s book gives gay bars as a suggestion to go prowling for the perfect hookups because queer people are more willing to play with the straighties. Everybody is so supportive and cutesy about Rob and Ruth’s relationship but the first photos/videos we have of them where they were looking like a couple was from before Rob got a divorce. Misha’s poetry book talks about being a married man who pursues other women and the title of the book is named for the poem that describes lying to his wife after they both congratulate themselves for being honest with one another. He literally romanticizes cheating on her, doesn’t that sound scummy?

jim beaver is probably the only person that I have any trust in. He posted his condolences after misha said that he got mugged and then deleted that once everyone showed what he was actually doing that night. It makes total sense to me because I just posted two other videos where he is clearly drunk and the fan described him as smelling heavily of booze.

Entering The Dreamscape Take 2

it would be a system hour before misha had to go back to work when he and yanqing returned to the reverie. walking together through the main lobby. it was a lot less crowded yet yanqing could still spot a few ipc agents present who obviously were still not given any access into the hotel rooms.

he felt another buzz in his pocket but this time it wasn't because of any text message. it was the clockie app - or rather the dreamscape pass - that yanqing had gotten upon arriving there. the fourth page was now opened to him with another question to answer. it was all very specific to what yanqing personally had been experiencing so far but of the third page was simply an introductory that all guests have that asks how they would like to spend their time in the hotel and yanqing had answered with an adventure.

it had a backdrop of a brick wall where he could put stickers and in this section, the stickers were photographs of the people he had encountered in penacony. there was misha and arlan in two different photographs. strangely enough a new sticker had been added with a photo of sliver wolf who had her back towards whoever was taking the photo.

moving along to the fourth new page where there was a backdrop of what appeared to be a city landscape with the following question posed to yanqing:

making friends high and low, what a joy! you find yourself in the land you always longed to visit. how does it feel? how has it gone so far?

yanqing stared at the question. he had been honest with the first one, might as well be honest here too as he soon looked up at the bellboy who appeared to be staring down at something causing yanqing to look down and notice that he had taken his white gloved hand at one point and hasn't let go yet.

misha didn't appear troubled or bothered by it- not even momentarily uncomfortable. just an intrigued yet puzzled look as if trying to decipher the meaning of it all before noticing the other had looked up from his phone.

" I didn't realize I did that." yanqing admitted, feeling a little embarrassed and worried that his actions may have upset the bellhop in some way, " would you.. like me to let go now? you seem very confused."

" oh! uhh.. do.. do you want to let go?" misha nervously asked in turn before the two quietly stared down at the joined hands for a moment. it was soon silently agreed upon that this was fine as yanqing looked back at his phone, clicking one of the three answers available before playing around with the stickers you could put on it.

yanqing would pocket his phone after reaching one of the elevators to head up towards the vip area. his room was located along the row up there and didn't need to really enter the vip lounge to reach it. the rows and rows seemed almost endless- near reminiscient of the shackling prison.

yanqing would eventually stop right outside the hotel room, having to let go of the other's hand to get his room key out and unlock the door while misha gave a look over his hand that was once in yanqing's just a second ago as if it was a clue to some mystery until he heard the click of the door unlocking.

yanqing walked in and gave a look over shoulder to misha, gesturing him to follow. there was a small entry way with dark brown wooden flooring and dark blue wallpaper- this wallpaper covered the rest of the walls within the hotel room that formed almost a key or keyhole shape if you were to view it from above.

once the bellboy was inside the room as well, yanqing closed the door behind him and took misha's hand once again before walking over to the area between the couch and the dreampool where the was table with a tea spot and teacups. two teacup shaped chairs with the same orange cushioning as the rounded couches.

misha had promised to show him the proper way to entering the dreampool but yanqing thought that he should at least show the bellboy how he had originally done it the first time. though instead of throwing himself into the dreampool, he made gestures with his free hand as a visual as he explained to misha who watched and nodded.

then it was misha's turn to lead yanqing as he walked over to the couch on the right hand side of the hearth with a top hat. taking a seat there and gesturing for the lieutenant to sit down with him. the warmth from the fir place was nice and relaxing- reminded yanqing of how he would sit out in the sun. it was nice.. especially since yanqing had even nicer company.

" yeah.. you're supposed to take it slow- go at your own pace! though I guess fast would be your own pace!" he spoke, adding in a little joke to lighten the mood which seemed to amuse yanqing. misha smiled at this before continuing on, " just take slow deep breaths.. counting from one to ten." he spoke in a calm manner and demonstrated the proper breathing technique as yanqing did his best to follow along though the tv screens and the tune playing on loop made it hard to concentrate. " pick one sound. one thing to train your eyes on. something.. comforting and relaxing!" misha added on and just as the bellboy instructed yanqing to look at something that was comforting and relaxing, those yellow ember eyes landed on the boy in all blue. running along each part of misha's outfit- the clip, the tie, the jacket and even the bow that kept misha's hair in an over the shoulder pony tail.

" there we go!" misha's voice came as yanqing soon felt his eyelids begin to flutter and threaten to close. he didn't realize just how tired he really was until that moment. watching as the bellboy soon take his other hand and slowly guided him to the dreampool, not even fighting or resisting it.

misha showed him where to properly step up into the dreampool but allowed yanqing to do this on his own. hand holding slowly transitioned into tips of fingers touching as the lieutenant soon stood in the glowing waters of the small pool yet yanqing did not look down - his eyes were only on misha even as their fingers were no longer touching and yanqing stepped back, waiting for further instructions.

misha remained near the edge of the dreampool, leaning forward slightly to watch the other boy carefully. " now you just sit down in the water there." he started up while yanqing did just that- found somewhere in the dream where he could sit comfortably while having the bellboy within eye sight as the misha continued on, " oh, well, I say water but it's actually memoria. see these little drops? kinda looks like it's dripping upwards. don't worry! it usually just stays within this state and doesn't actually get out." the bellboy would walk over to the other side of the dreampool where there was a cooler mixed with record player in the wall. the cooler part was mostly used for soulglad though. yanqing watched as misha adjusted the record player or rather record player looking radio, giving small glances over to the lieutenant to see his reactions and readjust the radio based on that before asking what kind of music yanqing liked and then searching for it with the list of infinite music records. misha knew what he was doing while yanqing slowly began to feel fall asleep until his eyes closed.

seeing those deep waters and fish again before reawakening within the hotel located in the dream. once again it was like he was underwater. objects floating in the air and all that good stuff yet none of it had any affect on yanqing as he stepped up and out of the dreampool. he looked around and found that the room was entirely different than the one in realty as there was no radio and some of the tvs on the wall were turned off or coming out from the wall. he could spot the painting he walked through earlier that day.. there was tear in the middle with hands reaching out towards it as if it was just part of the piece. he would notice though.. a black hound with purple glowing eyes. it stood out to yanqing as there was one just like it in realty. it must be how the family is keeping watch of everyone or perhaps just watching the guests of the watchmaker in particular.

this truly was still a prison, wasn’t it? no matter how much the family could redecorate the place and revamp it as a ‘hotel’. these days those who come here aren’t always criminals but all are trying to escape something. to indulge in a beautiful lie. this perfect dream can’t possibly satisfy everyone’s needs.

there is no way he could ask misha about the legacy of the watchmaker with that pesky mutt hanging around. yanqing couldn’t just get rid of it though.. surely it will only be replaced with another or just come right back. this was likely one of the reasons why aventurine advised him to keep his cards close to his chest in penacony- that yanqing should learn how to play the mind game since you don’t know who you can trust in this shattering dream. it was all so complicated.. having to practically walk around on eggshells. yanqing didn’t like it at all. he would much prefer it if things could just be straight forward and simple. yanqing decided to approach the small creature but before he could do or say anything, the black hound vanished upon the boy merely standing in front of it. “ oh. were you troubled by that?” came misha’s voice causing yanqing to look over at him. it seemed the bellboy joined him into the reverie in the dream. “ you remember the one back in realty? yeah! it also will leave if you ever need privacy! just simply interact with it and poof! it will be gone!”

“ oh really?” asked yanqing as this was the first time he heard of that while misha gave a nod in reply. it would appear that little detail had slipped the gambler’s mind or perhaps aventurine took his own advice and kept that ‘card’ to himself. there really was no knowing. " good to know. anyway- I just go back through that painting again, right?"

- he's not much excited, in fact he's a bit scared you might take his place, 

- but after he finds out you're younger than him...he's so happy! 

- he will teach you so many things, 

- how to play basketball, how to get along with the older men, even how to deal with your first crush, 

- since he is barely a few years older than you, he feels like as an young adult it's his priority to make sure you know all this stuff, 

- he's got seven older brothers, all the lessons are probably from them, 

- he really feels like you're just his younger sibling, 

Soldier 

- Jane thinks it's his duty to make sure you know the rules of war, 

- he will show you how to use weapons, maybe even let you touch his own weapons, 

- " But only for a few seconds, I don't want your young, inexperienced civil hands to spoil them! ", 

- he will sit you down in the meeting room of the base, and tell you stories, 

- half of those stories aren't real, but you don't want to make him sad, so you just listen, 

- on the battlefield, he will follow you around to make sure you don't hurt yourself...or use your weapons incorrectly, 

- also..." You do know basic history of your beloved country, don't you, hippie? ", 

Pyro

- this Phoenix adores you, 

- will invite you to tea parties,

- you're the only person other than Engineer who takes them seriously, that's why they like you so much, 

- their childish personality helps you cope with the fact you've been sorted out as a mercenary at such a young age, 

- always there when you're feeling down, 

Demoman 

- in all honesty, he has mixed feelings about you, 

- he can't invite you to the drinking nights with the other guys, you're just always left behind, 

- in recompense, he tries to teach you how to use the sword in the meantime, 

- you might never use that skill in the battlefield, but at least you have a thing that takes your mind off of the gravel wars, 

- when you're down, you both watch soap operas together, because he's the only one in the whole team who likes them, 

Heavy 

- Misha just avoids you, 

- at first, you think he's just a big, tough guy who dislikes teenagers to look more " deranged ", 

- but finally, one of the men, possibly Medic, explains to you why he dislikes being around you so much, 

- you remind him of his younger self and his sisters. The way he had to fight to protect them, the awful place they lived in for a while...everything comes back to him when he sees young face, 

- you try approaching him about it, but he still remains silent, 

- deep inside, on every mission he keeps a close eye on you, making sure you're safe, 

Engineer 

- Dell is now your step-dad, that's how it works, 

- he needs a few energetic bones to help him with his projects, so you will often stand around and hand him tools when he asks for them, 

- while he's working, he will tell you different stories about the other mercenaries, 

- you ask him to adjust your weapon's, because they're a bit too big for you to handle freely, 

- on warm days, he will take you out for a short walk to make sure you won't go insane, 

- he assures you that you can tell him about anything, and he will help, 

- he does in fact help, especially when it goes with your emotions, 

- he's always there to cheer you up when you're sad, or share a smile with you when you're happy, 

Medic 

- he's so happy with you! I mean, such a fresh canvas to test on, 

- every week he asks you to replace your heart with an Uber-handling one, and every week you refuse, 

- but when he's not in his mad scientist mood, he's always ready to help you with some of the downsides of growing up, 

- he's also very helpful when you're feeling insecure about your body ( all teenagers do that, right? Not only me, right? ), 

- " Oh, don't vorry, zhis vill go away. Zhe average of healthy patients your age look zhe same as you ", 

Sniper

- you never knew his first reaction, because he's rather quiet about it, 

- but after a bit, you learn that he's actually very trustworthy, and big hearted, 

- when you're down or one of the other mercenaries, you go to his camper, 

- you both play board games there, 

- he will most likely take you out fishing or camping during long weekends, 

- you like listening to him talk about his adventures from the bush, but he will leave out the gorey details out, 

- at some point, he just feels like an older, wiser, quiet brother to you, 

Spy

- he's mad. Not at you, at the Administrator for even thinking about hiring you at this age,

- he doesn't see the reason why there must be a new mercenary, so he mostly avoids you,

- until during one of the missions, you save him for getting headshoot point blank,

- he does acknowledge you a bit more after that,

- you're not allowed in his room though, it smells too much like cigarettes in there,

- maybe he seems cold on the outside, but when he sees you struggling with your work, he will always help,

- helping you however makes him remember he couldn’t see this stage of his son’s life…that makes him feel miserable.
