Simon and Price are the kind of guys that insist on paying for everything on a vacation. They're paying for the hotel, the rental car, food, any stupid knickknacks you want. If you even pull out your wallet, they're going to be all huffy. John will politely tell you not to worry about, he's got you covered. On the hand, Simon's taking your wallet from you, telling you that you don't need to spend your money, you've got him for that.

Johnny and Kyle don't mind splitting things with you. You pay for the hotel, he'll pay for the flights, dividing out the expenses so you've both got money for the actual trip. Johnny gets all lovey-dovey when you buy him things, jokes that you're spoiling him. But don't fret, he'll get you back later. Gaz gets all warm and fuzzy when you pay for dinner, staring at you with a lovestruck expression. everyone has commented on this scene already but i just need to talk about how insane it really is. wilson giving up after trying to find furniture he’d truly love because he’s never really gotten attached to the places he lived before even with his previous partners… which is why he’d just let them do the decorating. he was opting more for comfort than actual care for the homes he would live in.

but this time he got something only house could use. something he knew house would enjoy. i love how he just affirms that he does let others define him... but it's house specifically who does so. like this is the guy who helped ruin all of his marriages after the first one (low-key ruined wilson's attempted reconciliation w/sam later too)... house is the most important person in wilson's life. no matter how much the things around them change, they’re a constant in each other’s lives and wilson is more than okay with that. the fact that he used furniture to communicate that is so... its just so them idk how else to describe it

i can only imagine the gay ass smile wilson had on his face as he picked the organ out and thought about house’s reaction when he’d come home and see it. just crazy. they really should have fucked here

putting my prediction on record now that the coming decade is going to see the rise of viral-marketed fancy at-home water filtration systems, driving and driven by a drastic reduction in the quality of U.S. tap water (given that we are in a 'replacement era' where our current infrastructure is reaching the end of its lifespan--but isn't being replaced). also guessing that by the 2030s access to drinkable tap water will be a mainstream class issue, with low-income & unstably housed people increasingly forced to rely on expensive bottled water when they can't afford the up-front cost of at-home filtration--and with this being portrayed in media as a "moral failing" and short-sighted "choice," rather than a basic failure of our political & economic systems. really hope i'm just being alarmist, but plenty of this already happens in other countries, and the U.S. is in a state of decline, so. here's praying this post ages into irrelevance. timestamped April 2023

I like the idea that Cross realised Killer was touchstarved (he didn't have the words for it but he noticed how much Killer would settle down from it) and started giving him very small basic affection. Pat on the back, hand on the shoulder, maybe a quick friendly hug, all things he probably learned through royal guard training and thinks of as normal friend/coworker stuff.

But as they both got more comfortable in the routine of it, Killer started instigating touches and he was not shy about it (like not just leaning into Cross's side during movie night, he looks like he's trying to get into Cross's jacket with him)

And that this more intense affection made Cross realise he might also be just a little bit touchstarved
