Made the mistake of having a breakdown before class cause I forgot I live in this frozen tundra hellhole and my eyelashes froze shut, effectively blinding me for my walk across campus
#Adventures In English Major#the breakdown was nothing serious btw#i just had to do a 5-point turn twice in a parking lot with potholes deeper than my wheels go#then leave campus#drive around the outskirt of campus#go to the other parking lot at the bottom of the hill#knowing i would have to deal with period cramps against wind and snowfall up a hill#across a building#down a hill#around a building#and up another flight of stairs#and then the short route was closed so i had to take the long route

#i really do keep meaning to write some actual mpreg fic but it keeps getting swept away by other ideas#like the alien invasion fic i'm dying to write#where tommy gets called to fly against them while the lafd is busy on the ground trying to save lives amid the chaos#and they get word that the entire ragtag squadron of which tommy was a part gets wiped out#buck is so devastated he just shuts down and works himself nearly to death trying to save people trying to make tommy's sacrifice worth it#in a week LA is in ruins and the 118 is barely holding on when they get word that another wave of alien ships is headed their way#they know this is it and just as the ships crest the horizon -- there's one ship that suddenly breaks formation and turns on the others#completely stunned the 118 watches as the ship guns down half of the others then leads the rest on a wild chase#and then eddie shouts 'those are american military flight maneuvers! whoever's flying that thing is on our side!'#buck thinks about the first time he visited the harbor station and he'd jokingly asked everyone for dirt on tommy#and tommy's teammate nico was like 'i don't know about dirt but i can tell you right now: that guy can fly literally anything'#buck watches this one ship attempt the impossible while bobby's on the radio telling anyone who might be listening#that one of their own has commandeered an enemy ship and is holding off the next wave and needs immediate support#eventually the ship lands clumsily on a crumbling rooftop and buck runs up a hundred flights of stairs and bursts onto the roof#just in time to see tommy come stumbling out of the ship -- obviously having been through it and like missing an eye or something#and when tommy sees buck his face just crumbles and buck's already sobbing as they limp-run at each other#crashing together crying and laughing and buck slides to the ground clutching tommy while the rest of the 118 pile onto the roof#and they watch a squadron of f-15s descend from the clouds to take out the straggler ships and it feels like the tide is turning#yeah it's basically independence day but with 2000% more angst

#heds#ehlers danlos syndrome#hypermobile eds#hypermobile ehlers danlos#today i'm feeling kvetchy about not being able to run (or even walk fast sometimes) because inflating my lungs takes so much effort#and the pulmonologist said i have vocal cord dysfunction which doesn't fit my symptoms and then didn't fix the insurance thing that#he said he'd fix#so i'm kinda just stuck until i can get another pulmonologist which is hard cuz there aren't a lot in my area and wait times are eons#and even then most don't know jack about hEDS bc why would they it's a rare disease but then they aren't helpful bc they don't know jack#about the rare disease that is probably the root cause of my symptoms#and being dizzy when i stand up or tilt my head back too far and not tolerating heat the way i used to also sucks thanks POTS#at least i don't faint all the time?#and i never can tell if i'm hungry or not because acid reflux makes me feel like i'm starving when i just ate and other times like i'm full#when i haven't eaten. so i can't trust my hunger cues which is really irritating. and Tums don't help my acid#i can't just keep doing prilosec courses. i need to see a GI doc maybe they could do something but there's no time#and none of this is gonna kill me and i can still function it's just so tiring always having something hurting or gross or hungry#espec. when to other people i look like i should be able to do it all just fine so they're shocked when a flight of stairs winds me#i'm young and should-be healthy and this is unfair and i hate it and i wish my body worked right but i have it better than plenty of ppl#so really i can't complain

Modern day school AU!!!
Chuuya was just homeschooled under an adoptive scientist father until high school and joins Sheep High(??? ig) but some circumstances ill flesh this out later lead him to change to Yokohama’s Port High.
also Odasaku is one of those assistant teachers who are like still in college and just show up sometimes to test-run be a teacher or take notes about teaching. Dazai is just that one wierdo who hangs out with the teacher assistant and that one guy in admin (ango) and doesnt make other friends until chuuya joins

#text post#vent#venting#vent post#chronic illness#mental illness#progress is not linear#recovery takes time#ive only been diagnosed and trying treatments for my autoimmune disease for 1yr#ive been sick for closer to 5#i just got covid for the second time in january and its fucked up all the progress#that i was making#and now rather than try to support me through a major setback#everyone is acting like i just dont have my shut together and im not trying#meanwhile i am doing my best to keep up when walking a single flight of stairs is still hard for me#and there are very few people who meaningfully recognize how hard this is for me#i used to work three jobs while going to school full time seeing my family frequently#AND having a social life and maintaining my ltr#now im married yeah but i only do one wfm full time job barely engage with my hobbies#see my family and friends infrequently and tbh barely leave my house#and its not for any lack of wanting to#its because i CANT#and even fewer people are making am efforts to accommodate me#so i force myself to occasionally go out and see people#and then need to recover for two weeks#and they dont even appreciate how HARD it is#so much of the effort disabled put into their interactions with abled or just differently#disabled loved ones goes completely unnoticed because its expected as the bare minimum another can do#but rhe bare minimum to them is the absolute best you yourself can give#and nobody cares

OBSCENELY strenuous shift during the heat wave
#i’m fucked though there’s no way i’m putting my AC unit in#it’s like 100 pounds (maybe more bc i can carry like 75 pounds moderately easily) and i’d have to walk up 2 flights of stairs only like#the stairs are kinda booby trapped (basement stairs are narrow and old and there’s 4 doorways i’d have to go through at weird angles#)#and it’s about to cool off in a few days#but last year when i moved my AC unit it legit like fucked me up like i was all bruised up & i have another heavy shift tomorrow and don’t#wanna chance it#can’t have anyone help me bc i’m like 99% sure the stairs can’t hold 2 people and a massive AC unit AND#i’m almost certain someone would get hurt

got to campus an hour before my class started and dear fucking god did i apparently predict that my morning would go so wrong immediately FDLKSDLFKS
#ive walked so much in the past hour and stressed so much too KLFDSKL#i got to campus and had to get off the bus early and walk in bc there was construction going on#so the bus couldnt go onto campus so i walk to the library to print my paper#bc my printer at my apartment has been broken for a while so i was like 'okay ill come early itll be easy ill have time to spare'#so i went to the library to print and the printer wasnt working for whatever reason#so i went to the support desk like 'hey its not working?' and they were like 'oh maybe u deposited the money for the printer wrong'#so i double checked and it was in the right place and it still went back and it wasnt working anyways so they told me to try another printer#so i went back and tried all 5 and none of them worked#so they told me to go up to IT so i did and he said maybe theres an issue w ur card lemme reset the association#so he did and i reassociated it and it still didnt work#so he was like yeah go to the campus card office#so i have to walk across campus to go there and then walk up 4 flights of stairs and i talk to the lady at the booth#and i tell her the issue and she tells me that someone reissued my card in 2020??? i was not in the city KFLDSKFL#so she had to reprint it for me and she said that i could use the printer on the same floor next to the office#lo and behold: it isnt working KFDSLK so i have to walk BACK to the library across campus#and i FINALLY get it printed and walk ALL THE WAY BACK to the building where my class is#and i did all this with a mere 4 minutes to spare before my class started KLFSDKLFSDL#anyways im exhausted FKLDSKLFDS#iri.txt#i dont need to pay attention to this class anymore bc all the work is done so im gonna gif matthew as a treat for my struggle KLDSFKLD

this is so stupid but here’s a little comic i made for a little bingo au me and @twisted-tales-told came up with a few weeks ago. pretty much just the idea that jason needed a cover at some point and stumbled in on bingo night and was quickly adopted by the little old ladies there. now he plays every friday and has beef with dora and gets sent home with banana bread :) clara is trying to set him up with her grandson and all of her problems with her land lord have mysteriously been solved :))
being involved in his community is very important to jason and he loves seeing them host community events bc it feels like his home is healing
bonus: none of the bats have the faintest idea what Jason does in his spare time aside from babs and dick is so butthurt he wasn’t invited (not pictured: nightwing outside the bingo hall window looking in look a kicked puppy while jason flips him off)

#it reminds me of when we'd have bingo night at my old workplace. it got so competitive because there was huuuuuge divide between two-#groups of workers. like getting into physical fights kind of divide (it doesnt help that we were working offshore for months at a time.#we basically did the same stuff for different reasons but my side was HEAVILY treated as 3rd rate citizens there. it was toxic but fun.#1/10 would do again the isolation is real. its competitive to begin with its like middle school but with dick measuring in life or death#situations.) so every bingo night wed be in the dining room watching the tv and youd have to phone them that you got a bingo. theres only-#one phone in the dining room but people all across the workplace also had access to phone but the broadcast room only had one phone.#so every person with a bingo had to sprint to the phone and dial. if another person called at the same time you did you had to sprint up 3-#flights of stairs before they got there. they also didnt pause the bingo tournament. once you called it was up to you to show up. they gave#the prizes ($500. $300. and $150 to 1st 2nd and 3rd winners) to whoever showed up first no matter when you called. so you had to SPRINT.#one game someone from my side tackled another person so that his coworker could get to the phone first since they both had bingo in the-#dining hall. most of the times though people just stood up and blocked the way but once the person reached the phone they stopped#i won once and it was the most terrifying moment because i was racing against another person. i ran up 3 stories but couldnt find the-#broadcast room and ended sharing 2nd place with the other person since they opened the door to the both of us. which was sad because-#that person was from the other side of the workforce and thus was my mortal enemy. but yeah.#TLDR bingo fucks hard#at least in at my old workplace it did. im surprised that no one broke a bone tbh. well. over bingo that is
