i got a new drawing tablet and i decided to try it out by drawing pete wentz as frankenstein.

inspirations include the quoted lyrics from caffeine cold, that one headshot from frankenstein 1931 and the picture of pete wentz that i said scared me into not listening to rock music for 6 years.

today is the 3 year anniversary of breonna taylors murder at the hands of police. as a reminder, she was killed in a no knock swat raid. the warrant for this raid was provided under false pretenses, as the police officers lied about the suspect of their investigation having packages delivered to her house. none of the officers have been charged.

im totally ok with the flanderization of gilear. going from being a normal if pretty divorced dad to supernaturally unlucky due to a generational curse is just a really funny sequence of events.

fall out boy is so fascinating because anyone who doesnt know anything about fall out boy thinks theyre only relevant to millenials who had intense emo phases while anyone who is a huge fall out boy fan is aware of the fact that every single album they release has gotten them a wave of new young fans. and actually thats not even true because every album second album cycle the fans from the one before the last one are like what do you mean you became a fan during the last album cycle i didnt think anyone was still onboarding. and this is going to go on forever until they retire probably.

the thing is. people dont like sunshine riptide and people dont like the samples in ab/ap and people dont like the mighty fall and people dont like tiffany blews and people think thriller is when fall out boy sold out and no one recognizes the cover art of tttyg is a reference to coltranes blue train. and im weird for seeing a pattern in this.

the reason men are getting more conservative is very simply that as a class, as a socioeconomic group, their power is being threatened by womens civil rights. its the same reason for the broad surge in right wing politics. its called a backlash and its also why most civil war monuments are from the era of the black civil rights movement and not actually from the civil war.
