i have had the most wonderful time with the flash these 9 years, its been one of my most sacred spaces, full of fun and joy and heart. flash has been about friendship and inviting others into your family and winning with kindness! and i've honestly loved every second! i remember when we first met barry in arrow, and i KNEW before they'd even showed his face that he was about to be someone important by the little musical cue that played over him getting out of that cab with the newspaper held over his head. i just knew we were meeting someone special i wanted to go on a journey with and it was the MOST fun journey. i am going to miss flash a lot a lot a lot, but we'll always have it :')

#its so nuts when shows come to an end and you think of where you were when it started #when you first met them #and now where you are when it comes to an end #its just crazy #i was 23 when it started they were with me for basically a decade!#actually including when we first met barry in arrow it really has been a decade!!!!!#thats so wild and cool #and this is the last one #its the last of my 2010s shows #and i fear it will be the last time i'll have a tv experience like this - that any of us will really #i fear we've now said goodbye to the last generation of shows that will keep us company in this way now #shows don't last long enough to become companions over long stretches of your life anymore #(people dont seem to want it????)#i feel like that's so sad #these last 3 years have been full of goodbyes to shows that stood as longterm companions to me and im treasuring them #flash has been my friend!#and such a good friend ❤💛#my family even! they invited me in to join them and i felt it #thanks for all the joy #tp

it's always so fascinating and heartbreaking when a character in a story is simultaneously idolized and abused. a chosen prophet destined for martyrdom. a child prodigy forced to grow up too fast. a powerful warrior raised as nothing but a weapon. there's just something so uniquely messed up about singing someone's praises whilst destroying them.
