- Steve n Bucky going to the bodega down the street from their apartment. it’s open till like 4am and they go at all hours. sometimes they’ll go separately but they always go together when they go in between 12-4 am and no one who works there questions why

- they get a cat that they treat her like their child. it’s Alpine ofc😌 steve loves her so much but he knows it’s Bucky’s Cat and he’s fine with it

- you know how some siblings or partners or friends can communicate with their eyes and basically have telepathy? they totally have that and it annoys the shit out of every single person they meetjdksndks. someone will be talking to them and they will just make eye contact with each other bc it reminded them of an earlier convo they had or they both got annoyed by the other person or it reminds them of an inside joke or something and it just irritates EVERYONE. no one is able to intercept it and it’s just a thing that no matter what - even though they don’t mean to - you’ll feel a little left out when you’re with steveandbucky. it just comes with the gig. i like to imagine that depending on if it’s an au or not, its either really obvious or not. like in an au then yes it’s obvious they can have non verbal conversations, but if it’s not an au then it’s not entirely obvious bc they’re enhanced humans and they know how to hide their secret conversations. but everyone they talk to is essentially an enhanced human or has special abilities so it’s obvious to them and they catch them in the act LOL. if they’re interacting with regular people then it’s not very obvious though

- DATE NIGHT!!! yes they’re old yes they have date night. when they go out it’s usually to places in their neighborhood, but a lot of the time they like to stay in bc. they’re old men <3 steve is better at cooking and bucky is better at baking bc you can get creative with cooking and steve likes that more. he enjoys baking a lot too but he thinks bucky’s stuff tastes better. whenever they stay home though there’s ALWAYS a movie. always. they alternate choosing but there is always a movie to watch. bucky usually falls asleep nearing the end and steve plays with his hair😌 he rolls his eyes cause it happens every time but he actually likes when it happens bc he can braid strands of hair together

- pet names oh my god. so many pet names. every single one. mainly from bucky. steve uses them but maybe like two. he favors sweetie and buck and that’s it really. sometimes he uses hon. bucky though oh my god. every single pet name under the sun. so many variations of doll you wouldn’t believe - baby doll ofc, dolly, stevie doll. sweetheart. sweetness. blondie. pretty boy. hot stuff. stevie. baby. hon. honey. sunshine. angel. it’s just so many. and it’s like very sickening insane twisted etc but hot at the same time. most people are like jeez barnes do you ever shut up… but most of these people secretly think it’s a little hot theyre thinking damn where is that affection for me…. i need me a bucky barnes :| steve is the only smitten kitten outwardly even if he huffs and puffs sometimes but it’s obvious he enjoys it. like they are so annoyingjdkssn for real they aren’t a pda couple really but the petnames….. so many. so so so many it’s sickeningly sweet but bucky dgaf! steve is his sweetheart his dolly his baby his angel so he’s going to call him these things!

- steve knows his body is what is considered “perfect” but he still is insecure about it around most people and bucky knows this so when steve lounges at home in bucky’s boxer briefs and his own tee shirt or he kicks off his pants when he’s too hot at night in bed bucky is reminded of just how much steve loves him and feels comfortable around him which is something he always strives for - to make steve comfortable. not baby him because steve bitches at anyone that does that to him but to make him feel comfortable

- and on the subject of feeling comfortable i imagine that they always check in with one another but it’s very subconscious they hardly realize they do it. like steve will bitch at bucky to pick up his shoes from their doorway or to clean his hair from the shower drain but the next second he will ask him if his back still hurts from being kicked by sam and from where steve AND alpine scratched him (in very different ways)

- steve is the sweater husband and bucky is the sweatshirt husband. they trade off a lot but that’s just how their closets look

- steve takes a liking to crop tops 😌 but ONLY around the house bc again he’s really truly only comfortable around bucky. he wears em with boxer briefs or sweatpants but you can guarantee that the briefs and sweats usually just end up on the floor 9 out of 10 times

- hair ties everywhere. they can be found on the floor in the laundry in their bed in the couch on top of the fridge on their fire escape. they are literally everywhere. steve just picks them up and puts them in the bathroom but they always make their way back. he doesn’t say anything to bucky until he finds alpine chewing one and she ends up smacking herself in the face with the hairtie

- their fridge is always full with leftovers and food from sam or clint’s or whoever’s house or takeout. they always eat it all but they get and make a lot of food so the fridge is always full

- subconsciously bucky always has a hand on the back of steve’s neck. like it’s not ENTIRELY a possessive thing but he used to do it a lot when steve was small because it was easy and it was comfortable. for him and just for him and steve. it was like swinging an arm around steve’s shoulders or putting a hand on his shoulder. it was just natural and easy so he did it. a part of him back then prewar did it possessively too, but he always tampered that down bc steve wasn’t his. now he does it without shame

- steve really likes tofu and vegan meat, non dairy milk like almond and soy, and overall a lot of non dairy vegan foods, and a lot of fruits. he gets made fun of for a lot specifically about the vegan stuff but his reasoning is that there’s so much food accessible for people with allergies in the future that he wished existed a hundred years ago so he’s going to try it and stick with it if he likes it. people shut up after that

- he also tips a little more than he needs to everywhere he goes. everywhere. like it’s cool when steve rogers walks in to a restaurant bc he’s a superhero or whatever but its REALLY cool because he leaves a generous tip and that’s what really makes peoples day

- before they get legally married they are still very much married. like “i packed you lunch, meet me at the restaurant instead of me going to pick you up bc it’ll take longer, i got takeout let’s bitch together while we watch shitty reality tv, let’s bitch at EACH OTHER through the phone in public, let’s send each other ugly pictures of each other or funny texts while we’re right next to each other, i’m out with a group and you’re not there and i say multiple times ‘i miss steve/bucky’, let’s yell at each other from opposite ends of the apartment instead of getting up to see each other, steve i’m going to fuck you on the couch bc our room is too far, etc.” they are just very much married without the documents and legalities and it’s very obvious

okay all of these were ABSOLUTELY wonderful and im really going to restrain my urge to respond to each and every one but that might be futile

-okay YES they definitely go to that bodega at all hours, and usually it's for normal things when they go separately: milk, cereal, toilet paper. but when they go in the middle of the night, they almost always purchase some like odd assortment of candies and deli meat. also, they're always in their pajamas. like bucky's in plaid pj pants and a star wars sweatshirt, and steve is in like 5" shorts and a huge crewneck and they're both in slides and they definitely only speak russian to each other when they're in there after hours

-yes alpine! they also have a dog, that is more steve than bucky's!! his name is norman in my headcanon (and a couple of my fics) and he is best boy

-okay i need more of this in my general stucky life: steve and bucky being like,,, best friends as well as lovers and being so seamlessly close. like yeah, they definitely talk with their eyes, or just one glance, or half-sentences ("hey, did you ever get to--" "yup, on the way home. it was so--" "yeah, good. glad to hear") and they know exactly what the other is saying.

-yes to the date nights!!! and when they stay in to watch movies, they make Tons of popcorn. and they Have to make separate batches, because steve will Only eat his with like half a bottle of that powdered white cheddar on his

-yeah! and easy check ins like "ur stomach still bothering you from last night?" "oh, no it was just a little bug turns out" or like "my head hurts:(" "i have meds in my bag. you want?" "yeah, just two" or like subtly checking on injuries, yeah

-ALPINE SMACKING HERSELF ALKFJALSDKFJA also steve always has a hairtie on HIS wrist in case bucky forgets one for himself

-they also always have Steve Staple Foods cuz i headcanon steve as a picky eater (adhd!steve + serum enhancements, it's down to a formula) so they have a lot of Kraft mac and cheese and easy heat up meals and lunch meats around for when he's having bad food days

-OMG and steve absolutely MELTS i raise you, too, bucky will especially hold the back of his neck when he needs to get steve to Chill Out. so like if he sees him stressing he'll put his hand on the back of his neck and squeeze and literally feel the tension drain from him or like if steve is having a panic attack, he'll hold the back of his neck while they breathe together

-yes and also any time that steve is Choosing food for himself and feeling motivated to eat it, it's a win, so people learn to back off there, too

-yes! he tips generously, but never awkwardly or offensively. he's also super kind and patient to food service workers!

-this last point is so perfect i cant. like yeah, back to steve and bucky just being,,,, the best of friends. ugly selfies galore, shoving their feet in each other's face, flicking each others ears. and yes, all the fucking gossiping. on the phone gossip, venting, fun gossip from around work. they talk about it all. and it's so great for them

Yeah @the-astral-library, I wasn't around for exile, but that is my understanding of where the c! and cc! divide started as well. Which was also part of why the whole fandom pivoted so hard into creature and mob designs, wanting to make it clear that they weren't talking about the real guys. Just, y'know, that was somehow never enough when it came to anything romantic? Just graphic torture and abuse? We couldn't use the cc divide for consentual romance between adults, just murder and domestic abuse and non-consentual touching and drugging and bigotry, which are fine.

And MCYT is fascinating in that it takes issues I had only ever seen with romantic-focused fandoms, and it does it with platonic relationships. I have a whole post stewing in the back of my brain about family dynamics reducing people down to narrow archetypes and not paying attention to character, the favoured "why do shippers do this" complaint of fandoms everywhere, but it's happening in a platonic way here. And yes, exactly, people getting so strident about what they want out of friendships that it ends up being like shipping, because the issue was only ever partially the romance, the bigger issue was being treated like an interchangable part of someone else's story, there to fix them and not seen for yourself, and that can happen with or without romance if you're fixated and rude enough.

Yeah @thiefnessman, it can get really demoralizing sometime when you look at how the streamers get treated, and how the fandom will either ignore it or turn around and blame every cubito shipper ever. Ignoring both that thinking cubitos are married does not necessarily mean that you're going to harass a streamer in real life, you'll find most people can keep fiction and reality seperate, and ignoring the wild boundary-breaking behaviour that takes place all the time from people who are being perfectly platonic, they're just doing shit like showing up in Phil's TTS to ask how he's been grieving Techno. To mention something that made me have to go take a brisk walk I was so mad.

People act as though the only objectionable behaviour comes from people who ship, and that is simply not true. This fandom is just so big that while most people can tell fiction from reality, when you consider a fandom so large that it has 80k fics on the archive, the people who are out to lunch and treating streamers like dolls for their amusement will do that whether theyre pulling from romantic ships or platonic headcanons for whatever they're using to be inappropriate with. Bootwt by and large does not approve of shipping— that doesn't stop them from using pronouns Ranboo has not asked to be used for them all the TIME, or from harassing his friends for percieved slights. Some of the most virulent anti-shipping attitudes I have ever seen in my life happened when Tommy was 17, and that was also peak time for people truthing him as trans and or abused in real life, to his face.

Like I want the streamers to be treated with respect ! I want that so much! And that is why I am thinking that we should be showing up and asking them about SO MUCH LESS than we do nowdays. This means that we should not be bringing up romantic or sexual shipping unless they brought it up first, but we should also be bringing that same energy to making sure they never have to see or think about SO MANY MORE THINGS that we should keep to ourselves, for us. Shipping is not the end of the world, but boy if some of the shit people show up in TTS to talk about isn't quite a big closer to the edge of that cliff.

Gonna be honest with you though if someone outright says “don’t ship my character with other people” or something to that extent regarding smut or whatever I don’t think there should be any ambiguity

I get your point about the nature of fanfic being inherently encroaching upon people’s images so that levity should be extended to otherwise uncommon avenues but I really believe hardline boundaries should be respected, end of, no discussion. If I see people violating creators’ boundaries for their characters Or themselves (and these can be intertwined, it’s not up to the audience to pick apart their boundaries, cuz I’ve seen people try to do that) I’m not going to judge them fairly and I feel like neither should you.

Lines can be crossed and intimacy (not even necessarily romantic!) is a very different monster than the other avenues of storytelling because of how it involves real life relationships seeping into character relationships. Its’s uncommon for people to be like “I wrote A’s character being tortured because I feel like A is tortured in real life” but they Can and Often do that with ship work. So I don’t know, I feel like you’re not affording this the right nuance.

Alright, so, this is another post I'm gonna slap with a discourse and long post warning right away, buckle in.

Yeah, I hear what you're saying, and this is not an uncommon opinion to have! It's still the opinion of twitter/x so far as I know, and I think it's probably the opinion of the bulk of dsmp fans here, as well. I know my posts get notes once they start circulating in hermitblr, but I don't kid myself that I have the majority view. I am posting to explain my views expressly because I know a lot of people don't agree with me!

And in this case we do have a difference of opinion. There's two sort of points as I see it in your posts— we have hardline boundaries about shipping/nsfw from some people, and everyone in the fandom should be abiding by those no exceptions or be thrown out of the fandom; and we have shipping boundaries but not boundaries for other things because shipping is uniquely boundary-crossing and terrible and invasive, in contrast to anything else we can do in fandom.

Taking the second part first, I just don't think that's true. Let's not forget, boundaries discourse started with SMPLive and SMPronpa, and it was not the shipping that caused the discussion, it was the death games. The first real fandom reckoning we had with the notion of boundaries as mcyt fandom was over gore and murder and portraying people in violent ways. Shipping was barely a blip on the radar. The way the discourse has developed now, shipping is framed as the absolute worst thing anyone could ever do with your public image, and everything else is fine, but that is not the case for everyone. Recently the Pirates SMP creators were asked repeatedly for their boundaries (bothered on twitter, really) until they gave them and thus we saw people being fine with shipping but not wanting family dynamic, or being against both shipping and gore, or being fine with shipping but not wanting to be gender bent or trans headcanoned, etc. Not everyone feels the same way about the same things, despite the us-american cultural viewpoint that romance and sexualization is uniquely bad but gore and torture is fine, that everything else is fine.

Like, if we're looking at DSMP, I think there are a lot of creators who would feel just as strongly if not stronger about fics in which their character died of a terminal illness than they would about a fic in which they kiss someone, for understandable reasons. But I see those tropes in the tags regularly!

I think if we are honest with ourselves, if we are going to hardline boundaries about things that are uniquely invasive or bad to do to a creator's character with the view that we are putting all of this up for the creator's approval, we need to accept that this excludes us from writing anything where a character is abusive or is tortured or dies of a terminal illness or is psychologically broken or is age regressed or is neurodivergent or is queer if the cc is straight or trans if the cc is cis or cis if the cc is trans or straight if they're gay— the list of things that would be weird to do in the face of the real guy is really long. And it has most of our favourite tropes on it!

I love writing autistic philza. It would be really fuckin' weird to go up to Philza and tell him about how I write his character as whumped and autistic. Come on now. (But that's within boundaries, so that's— fine? I really don't think it's fine!)

Which is why my stance is that we should be thinking critically about these things, and keeping the fandom seperate from the creators. Some of these things are just not for the creators. They're fine but they shouldn't go on twitter. Y'know?

The idea that shipping draws uniquely on the real person and leads to invasive behaviour but nothing else does— that nobody does "I wrote A being tortured because I think A is tortured in real life"— Look. I have been in the fandom a long time. I remember how all the abused tommy narratives fed right into people assuming his family in real life were abusive— and talking about this on twitter! Where he and his family could see! People did this with WIlbur and Techno too!

I remember people reading about trans tommy and then truthing that the creator either was transmasc or was going to come out as transfemme any day now, publically, on twitter and in his chat. I have seen people she/her tubbo to his face on twitter, with fancams. I have been in chat when people who have clearly assigned Phil "dad" start asking WILDLY invasive things in TTS. If you think that shipping is the only fandom behaviour that can lead to people drawing directly from the streamers for their work and treating the creators weirdly about it, you simply have not been paying attention.

The way the fandom insists on treating benchtrio as children despite the fact that they're almost twenty and viciously attacking their friends for treating them as adults and chiding tommy and tubbo and ranboo for inappropriate behaviour. The list goes ON.

So. The recieved DSMP wisdom is that we should TTS the streamers to check if it's okay if we write a fic in which they die of cancer. We should DM them on instagram to ask if it's okay if we write them as a gender or sexual identity they don't share. We should show up in their twitter mentions to ask if it's okay if we write them as a physically abusive parent.

No????????

My view on that is that it is frankly bizzare it is that we have decided that "asking creators for detailed instructions regarding porn or gore" (especially in TTS! When they're fucking at WORK and can't step away! Stop doing this to the hermits!) is normal and fine and responsible but "post your shit in appropriate places and leave the creators out of it" will make you a monster.

Once again, the experience of someone coming up and saying "i think of you as age regressed" and someone saying "i found this fic where you're age regressed" and someone saying "can I write a fic where you're age regressed" is not that different. In all cases you know that the person has been thinking about it and putting it out there, and in all cases you didnt seek out this information, it was brought to you. In all cases it's weird. Just do not bring this information up to them!

If you just think about it for a while, you see that there is an entire host of things that would be weird to force into the view of a creator, especially when you consider that half the time we got these clips from TTS information when we have no idea if the person answering knew the context of what they were being asked, if they were specifically aware of the creator/cc divide that the fandom works with, or if they felt pressured into it. Oh yeah, let's take a TTS clip from Tubbo when it was 2 in the morning for him and he was deep in a minecraft mod when someone asked him about alters and delusions and he was like "oh you mean like— when they can't help it? I guess that's fine." That definately counts as freely given, reversible, informed, enthusiastic and specific consent to show him anything we want at all times forever. That's never going to make him uncomfortable.

Think a little here.

So I think there's a lot of the fandom that we should not be putting up for the approval of the creators, and if we don't have a firm answer on if they would like potential edge cases, we should probably be thinking about it and keeping it away from them (and I would err on the side of caution), we should NOT be showing up in the TTS to ask them about narratives in which they're institutionalized, or making them a GOP conservative in fiction, or if Wilbur was canon about seeing them as a bottom, or whatever bizzare thing someone is cooking up now. Honestly if you think to yourself "I don't know if the creator would like seeing this", I would be much more comfortable if the two choices we were picking between there were "simply don't write it" or "write it but keep it away from them", and "harass the creator for an answer on this subject and only write it if they say yes" never entered the equation at all.

And to return to your first point, if we already have a class of fiction that we are keeping away from the creators because basic intellectual curiosity would show that it would be weird to show someone, I don't think it's the end of the world to go "okay, creator doesn't like NSFW, so we also keep the NSFW away from them, keep this shit off twitter, block them if you create it, don't show it to them" and then we archive lock it and continue on our little weirdo on the internet ways.

Now, I don't expect to convince you of this, the phrasing of your post does not indicate that you're open to discussion on this topic. That's fine. Nobody has to agree with me. But I grew up conservative christian, and I have already had people try and get me to throw people out of the community for their perceived sins where I was like "well, I really don't think this is that bad", and I'm really resistant to being forced to do that again. I don't think it's a healthy way to run a fandom, to be shunning people for what they're doing in fiction. Harassing creators in chat? Sure, I will block them from my events as untrustworthy. That's hurting someone in the real world. Writing something that I don't vibe with privately on the archive for an audience of 50 people? That is not doing harm to real people. As long as they're not showing it to the creators, I don't count that as offensive.

How's that for nuance.

What is transmisoginy?

Chihiro is written to mock trans women, to say that in reality trans women are secretly men, she is a man who is weak and uses being trans as a way to escape her problems, this is a thing that is also said to trans men a lot, that theyre just trying to avoid the hard parts of being a woman by becoming a man. Even if the writters intended it to be like that or not (which they probably did because transphobia is a big thing that happens a lot, obviously) it's still transmisogynistic. Thats that on that

This is a pretty common transphobic trope actually, the "Turns out this one character was actually from the opposite sex??!!", theres more examples of this in other games outside Danganronpa.

But also her experience is pretty different from other examples, her experiences are way too similar with trans womens experiences.

This is mostly for the cis people who call her a crossdresser and refuse to change their mind, on it, sit down.

She goes to Mondo not because hes masculine, but because she admires him and his strength. She never once says it's because shes a man or because Mondo is a man.

These dialogues can be read in two ways, the first one being the one the game tries the hardest to put in your head thats shes a man, all of this guessed by other people btw not what she herself says. Which is really transphobic, because she was written as a trans woman and then theyre like "uh no actually hes a man, because he was born as one but hes a coward so he started to dress as a woman to hide from his problems. Because thats what people do right? People who dress as their oppossite gender are so pathetic, specially men amiright? Ahaha"

Reading it in this way really weird, you're doing a lot of mental gymnastics because you would literally call her a trans woman with all of this if the rest of the trial, that consists of cis people assuming shes a man, didn't happen. And sadly you're following transphobic ideas by this. Because the canon is transphobic and transmysoginistic.

And the other way is just read what she says, that she just wants to be stronger and stop lying to everyone, basically about being cis, because shes not, shes amab (assigned male at birth) and thats probably what she said to Mondo, but most people when a trans person who already passes or is in their transition comes out many people tend to think "oh so youre your gender assigned at birth and not the one you claim to be?", because they don't get what being trans is and they think only "biological gender" is a thing. Basically, misgendering and invalidating the trans person.

I can guess all of this just because of how vague they decided to make her dialogue, not even showing how she tells Mondo about being amab.

What did she said to Mondo? "I'm trans"? "I'm a man"? "I was born a man"? We dont know, because they didn't show it and she died right afterwards and then everyone was like "Chihiro was secretly a man" to solve the case and thats it. A lot of people in the discourse get their information from Monokuma who isn't either Chihiro or even Mondo. Monokuma knows many things but he can't read minds to know if she was really trans or not, only she could say it but she died so she couldn't explain if shes trans or not.

This doesn't sound like a normal crossdresser, this sounds like a trans woman who was bullied for being different when she was younger, like many trans people, and then she decided to transition because she's a woman, she wanted to be more feminine and stop being seen as a person shes not. Specially after so many people tell her to basically man up when she doesn't want that, because shes not a man.

Have you ever heard of the classic stories of "since I was little i knew i was different, i was a boy who liked playing with dolls and was more feminine than the rest" or "i used to be a tomboy when i was little, i had mostly male friends, i liked playing with car toys and was more masculine than other kids" coming from trans people? This just sounds as these types of stories to me.

People also like to say that alter ego uses he/him pronouns and says shes a boy. Many trans people can misgender themselves for personal reasons too guys, she could've been trying to misgender herself because she didn't felt like she wasn't enough to be a real woman, this happens a lot to trans people. If people constantly tell you that you're not actually transgender or you just feel like you're faking it then you might actually believe it, thats were most "detransitioners" come from. And thats basically what they made her, a detransitioner.

Some of you might also don't get how shes trans because you think she doesn't perfect or exact trans stereotypes. Trans experiences can be similar on the feeling of not fitting in, dysphoria, etc. But trans experiences, stories, transitions and complete lifes can be very different, because we all (including cis people) live different lifes, experience, process and cope with things differently. So i can understand why you might not get her being trans coded at first, don't worry. But try instead of just not caring because you don't get it at the first try, to see what trans people say.

This whole discourse its mostly cis people talking over trans people about their own experiences (incluiding the dead trans coded characters experience) saying if theyre valid or not and denying stuff not wanting to learn anything, completely refusing to it because "In canon hes a boy" ok then in canon shes written in a transphobic way too but most of you don't care about that. You would rather call her a crossdresser than try to acknowledge how obviously trans coded she is and how thats used as transphobia.

The way most cis people act in this discourse is very transphobic to me to be honest, if you think you're a good ally but act like this then you should get more educated on the topic as a whole and about trans people too.

hey darling!! no worries, I love discussing Kurt & Court bc theyre my surrogate parents and they emotionally raised me when I had a difficult relationship w my Mom and Dad, plus I’m named after Kurt and he’s part of the reason I realized my ~gender~, so needless to say I have a surplus of information on them. Plus their music fucks. anyways, this is gonna be a masterpost-

my credentials(sources I have taken my information and formed my opinion on Kurt & Court’s relationship from if u need to look into them):

-Heavier Than Heaven(Book by Charles Cross, authorized by Kurt’s estate. Charles Cross is a well known grunge/music historian and has literally devoted his life to researching and writing rockstar biographies, including several on Nirvana. One of my favorite books ever.)

- Montage Of Heck(Documentary on Kurt’s life. Produced by his daughter, Frances. I have some heavy criticisms of this film and of the interviews in it, but it does have some reflections on Kurt and Courtney’s relationship that I think are important.)

- Hit So Hard(a documentary on Hole’s drummer, Patty Schemel. Minor discussions of Kurt and Kurt and Courtney.)

- Verse Chorus Verse(Fan-made documentary series on Kurt’s life, widely regarded by Nirvana fans the most in depth play-by-play biography that exists- and it’s free on YouTube, which is lit.)

Kurt and Courtney- A documentary made in the late 90’s under the guise of biography, but is actually about the conspiracy theory that Courtney killed Kurt. I saw it when I was a new fan and I literally laughed out loud from how apeshit it was.

Soaked In Bleach- ‘Biopic’ about Courtney killing Kurt. I haven’t seen it but straight men who think Courtney is ugly take it more seriously than the Bible. Very little truth ever goes into these theories, besides maybe names and dates.

Anything Hank Harrison(Courtney’s father) has to say- He wrote a book on the subject. He also gave her acid and lost custody of her when she was three years old. He’s a shit parent and I doubt he’s actually seen his daughter since the 80’s.

Anything Buzz Osborne(Kurt’s friend, singer for the Melvins, a band Kurt looked up to in Montesano) says- I think Buzz’s opinion is taken way too seriously by a lot of the fan base, I read an interview of his criticizing Montage Of Heck because Kurt ‘didn’t really have a stomach disease’ and was just lying about it to get high, and also about how he hated having to see Courtney naked, and made a good long point about how disgusting her body is. IOn top of all that(none of which really has to do with critiquing the film...?), he mocked Kurt and called him a loser for committing suicide. I don’t care what your opinion on his stomach, his wife, or his music is, that shit is callous and idiotic, but totally reflective of the 70’s and 80’s mentality regarding the mentally ill. He’s part of the legion of pretentious punk dudes who *kind of* knew Kurt, who think Courtney’s the one who ‘corrupted’ him, which brings me around to answering your question.

So, there’s this idea regarding Kurt and Courtney’s relationship, which is pretty similar to the one surrounding Sid and Nancy’s(or at least used to.) Courtney is the whiny, annoying, petulant bitch who attached herself to the first trophy she could find, and through her terrible manipulative personality kept him with her and kept him from getting better. In this mode of thinking, She’s also the person who ‘started’ him on drugs, and in a few people’s eyes, the person who ‘forced’ him to have Frances.

The reality of the situation, as I see it, as someone who’s gone to pretty decent lengths to inform themselves on the subject, is that Kurt and Courtney’s relationship was toxic: But the toxicity was mutual. This doesn’t mean they were a “problematic” couple, or that they were abusing each other, or even that either one of them was ‘evil’, it means that they fell deeply in love as young trauma survivors with substance abuse issues and huge ambitions. That’s a lot to put on any relationship and it’s a lot to talk about, so I’m gonna split this into categories of complaints that you’ll hear pretty routinely as a new Nirvana/Hole fan.

1. “She got him into drugs!”

Courtney started on heroin in the late 80’s in L.A., when she was still playing with Sugar Baby Doll(her band with Jennifer Finch and Kat Bjelland). Kurt, as said in Heavier Than Heaven, tried heroin for the first time around 1988-1989(I don’t remember exactly.) At the time, he was still living with(though I don’t believe they were still dating) Tracy Marander. Because he was destitute, he didn’t have enough money to start forming an actual habit until Nevermind started gaining speed, and by the time he and Courtney started dating(they met a couple of times and phoned a couple of times before cementing a relationship) he had been taking it for a while. That’s the thing I think people look over when it comes to Kurt- He was embarrassed about his addiction and he hated the physical side effects, but he loved heroin.

Courtney says in Montage Of Heck that she had both tried and kicked heroin by the time she met Kurt, but I think the Heavier Than Heaven description is probably more accurate: That she did heroin socially, and her addiction worsened after the two of them began living together because Kurt was(in her own words) ‘obsessed with oblivion.’ She also said in Montage Of Heck that his dream was to ‘Get to three million dollars and become a junkie.’ She’s stated several times that her drug problems came out of a need for ‘comfort’, and Kurt was into getting so fucked he couldn’t do anything else(also confirmed by his friend, Dylan Carlson, who was also into heroin and did it with him often.)

On top of that, Courtney was the one who orchestrated interventions for Kurt, went through the process of reviving him when he’d overdosed, and broke his syringes/scared off his dealers to try and keep drugs away from him as much as possible. At one point, she even made a rule that no drugs were to be done in the house- So he started renting motel rooms and doing them there. It was she who was the head of his final intervention before he went missing.

If anything, Courtney is the person who tried her hardest to keep drugs away from both of them. Considering how much people still talk about her doing heroin while pregnant(which occurred very early on before she was aware of her condition), Kurt is the person who struggled the most to stay off drugs during her pregnancy and after Frances’ birth, even going so far as to hide in the bathroom from her while she was struggling with morning sickness so she wouldn’t know he was getting high.

2. “She manipulated him into dating her/marrying her!”

Here’s the thing about Courtney; She is an enigmatic, entertaining, talented, maternal individual. Here’s the thing about Kurt; He’s a shy, quiet, non-confrontational guy with mommy issues. There’s been a lot of discussion on how Courtney was ‘obsessed’ with Kurt, and how she wouldn’t rest until she pinned him down: That’s untrue, or at least it reads less like crazy-bitch-steals-rock-god and more like cute-singer-has-crush-on-fellow-cute-singer. She was really into him, but when she met him she was still dating Billy Corgan, which deterred her from pursuing him until that relationship(basically) dissolved. When Kurt met her, he had just gotten out of a relationship with Tobi Vail, which most likely fell apart because she refused to be what Tracy Marander had been for him. She wasn’t interested in caring for him and she wasn’t interested in a full-time monogamous relationship. She was working too hard at her own career and was way too involved in the burgeoning riot grrrl movement to worry about looking after Kurt Cobain. That just wasn’t going to work for him.

Kurt was a big believer in the nuclear family model, he was very monogamous, and besides that he lacked the ability to physically take care of himself. If he wasn’t living with a partner who would clean up the house and remind him to wash his hair, it just didn’t happen. He was chronically ill, depressed, and he’d spent most of his adolescence AWOL from anyone who would actually raise him, so Tobi’s rejection deeply hurt him for a number of reasons- While Courtney, the opposite of Tobi in a few key ways, was exactly what he wanted. On top of looking like the archetypical punk girl, “I was attracted to her because she looked like Nancy Spungen,” she had a maternal streak (In Montage Of Heck, when he’s found sitting beside her while she cuts his hair, and, typical for people living with Kurt, mentions that she cleans the house because ‘nobody else fuckin does.’) Early on in their relationship, Kurt had a meltdown and begged Courtney to come to his apartment. She did, and looked after him the rest of the night, a pattern which would become common for them, and was stated by her half sister to be the ‘original strain on the relationship.’

Besides her mothering elements, Courtney was brassy and loud, and her presence allowed him to be less introverted and freer with himself. She was an ambitious young musician who shared a similar childhood to him, and had the same yearning for a safe home life that he did. She was well-read and artistic, and introduced him to the literary side of music creation, which he hadn’t explored yet. After spending a night on the phone with her, he went around telling everybody she was ‘the coolest girl in the world,’ and broke off another burgeoning relationship with Mary Lou Lord on live TV after spending the night with her. The famous quote, “Courtney Love is the best fuck in the world.” is in fact real. And yeah, he could’ve handled that one better.

The attraction was mutual, and I find it hard to believe that Kurt was ever forced into anything romantic with her based on how well she suited his tastes.

3. “She used him for his fame/money!”

As stated above, Courtney was attracted to Kurt before Nevermind was even recorded, and if she wanted to marry a famous dude right out the gate, at the time they met there were plenty of people who were way more famous than Kurt. In Heavier Than Heaven she mentions really liking their song “Dive,” and later in life she mentioned hearing “Sliver” and being impressed with Kurt’s writing abilities. Both of those songs were released a solid two years before Nevermind. She was interested in Kurt because he was cute and talented and she was savvy in the music scene, meaning that she kept up with underground bands.

Now, a point of contention between Kurt & Courtney was their different attitudes towards fame. That is entirely true. Courtney wanted to be famous, enjoyed celebrity, loved attention, and could handle touring, press, and the craziness of success. She was very charismatic, very physically strong, and let’s face it, definitely an attention whore. Kurt liked being praised, he liked being successful, and he definitely had a thing for attention- But he hated pressure, he had inferiority issues, he didn’t know how to handle his life being pried into all the time, and he wasn’t strong enough to do massive tours. Courtney just didn’t understand that, which is pretty common if someone doesn’t share your same mental illness/physical illness: Touring hurt Kurt’s stomach, it worsened his anxiety and emotional instability, it wore his body out, it didn’t agree with him. He loved playing live but couldn’t handle the mania or the travelling, meaning he didn’t mind blowing off huge tours that would bring in loads of money. Courtney, who did feel envious and intimidated regarding his success, would get angry at him for that- She didn’t want him to blow off massive paychecks and press coverage because it’s not what she would’ve done. I definitely side with Kurt on this, nothing is more frightening and frustrating than people trying to force you to do things you can’t handle health-wise. Courtney, being naturally business-oriented, was also aware of how things appeared to the public, and definitely cared about their image more than Kurt did- One of their fights revolved around her nagging him about how important the “Heart-Shaped Box” music video would be for him, and how he should look good. He reacted by stubbing out a cigarette on his forehead and saying, “Do I look fucking good enough for you now?”

So yeah, Courtney, like a lot of people in Kurt’s life, was all about furthering his career and success. A lot of people read that as her being money-hungry or manipulative, in my opinion it’s just a natural response from a person who’s spent their whole life trying to be a success and wouldn’t really get there until 1994. I think some of it was envy and I think some of it was her using him a little vicariously, neither of which are healthy but neither of which are malicious, either. She wanted to be a rockstar, she was ready to be a rockstar, she wasn’t; He thought he’d wanted to be a rockstar, he didn’t really want to, he was.

4. “She emotionally abused him!”

I hate to say this because I love Kurt so much but, as someone who’s been through a codependent relationship where they were bailing water out of a sinking boat, Kurt’s behavior throughout their marriage set off way more red flags for me than Courtney’s did. I don’t think he was actually abusive, but I do think he was a little too underdeveloped and unresolved to be married to someone. He had to grow up slower than everyone else because he missed out on having concrete mature influences, which Courtney did as well, and like I said earlier I think a lot of their problems came through a lack of adult communication skills. Both of them were really jealous people: Courtney couldn’t stand Kurt talking about Mary Lou Lord or Tobi Vail, Kurt was completely convinced that Courtney was cheating on him with Billy Corgan(even going so far as to talk to their lawyer about a divorce shortly before he died.) This was the catalyst for a lot of mind games and unnecessary drama, especially coming from Kurt.

Kurt couldn’t handle conflict. He was really passive aggressive, and would do things to purposely piss Courtney off or communicate to her that he was displeased. While she was trying to stay clean he would declare that he was going to do drugs in the apartment, when she started talking to a psychic to help her with her problems he mocked her and put her down, when she staged his final intervention his entire argument against rehab was that she was just as ‘fucked up’ as he was(she had already agreed to go into rehab, though whether he was aware of this or not I’m not sure.) He made his first suicide attempt by overdosing on Rohypnol on their wedding anniversary because she took some pills and fell asleep and he decided that meant she wasn’t interested in him anymore. I’m not arguing that that’s an irrational response to your partner getting stoned and falling asleep, especially when he’d apparently set the night up to be as romantic as possible, but the overdose put him in a coma and sent Courtney into hysterics.

Her mental health began to decline due to paranoia that he’d end up dead, and her weight dropped due to the added stress. As someone who’s been through a pretty similar situation to that and exhibited the same symptoms, I can tell you that it is never okay to use a suicide attempt to deal with a perceived injustice from your partner. By this time, Kurt was facing either getting clean or dying, and his behavior was very depressed and erratic, so there are explanations for the way he was acting and I don’t think he was trying to manipulate her with a threat. Despite my understanding of that, there is nothing more exhausting than being the caretaker of someone who is hellbent on never getting better. I can’t imagine being the caretaker of someone who won’t stop until they’re dead, and I do think at that point it would’ve been better for them to separate.

But that isn’t to say Courtney wasn’t toxic herself, I’m not trying to paint a wholly negative image of Kurt here. I’m merely trying to stand in the way of Nirvana fanboys who have no grasp on the more sickly sides of his personality, and give Court a bit of a break. Definitely, she struggled with her jealousy: As stated, she never wanted his ex girlfriends mentioned around her and would tear them apart if they were. She was ambitious and career driven, which eroded a lot of her platonic relationships/working relationships as well her marriage to Kurt. She was one of the people who was pushing him to recover in time to play Lollapalooza, and she was one of the people who pushed him into his last stunted tour before his death. She weaponized his relationship with Frances in ways that I and most people agree are gross: She told him he should be playing massive gigs to support his daughter(though their medical and legal bills were big they were hardly poverty stricken), and admitted in an interview later that she called him in rehab once to tell him he’d dropped Frances on her head(She mentioned during this that Frances was wearing a furry hood, and that he didn’t hurt her. In my opinion he was doing his best by even trying rehab again, and that he was already so worried that he was a terrible father that it was just cruel to make him feel worse.)

She has a tendency to be self-obsessed, and to put her own self interest before people she cares about, even if she regrets it later. She struggles herself with mental illness and addiction, both of which tend to give a person poor judgment regarding the people they care about.

Once again, Courtney and Kurt weren’t a healthy couple, but it wasn’t because they were evil or abusive towards one another. They cared for each other deeply, they had a very pure devotion. Underlying all this nastiness were two people who prayed together, wrote together, fantasized about a Valentine’s Day wedding, and faxed each other R-rated love letters like modern versions of James Joyce and Nora Barnacle. During one of his more successful stints in rehab, Kurt wrote Courtney love letters every night(though he did decorate them with blood, wax, and semen.)

They had some serious therapy they needed to attend, the both of them. But 90% of these demonizations of Courtney are either untrue or blown out of proportion.

Pairing: Sherlock Holmes x Reader

Warnings: Mention of past injury and abuse

“Oh no you don’t.” John gently scolded when you all arrived back at the flat and you tried to unlock your door- your hands shaking as they fumbled with the keys. You brother pulled them out of your hands and used his other hand to carefully encourage you towards the stairs, “I know you, Squeak. If I allow you to stay down here it will end in one of two ways and neither of them is good.” You opened your mouth to protest but he cut you off, reading your mind, “You can borrow some night clothes from me and whatever jumper you’d like. Up you go.” There was no point in arguing, he was in full big brother protective mode, so you just shuffled up the stairs, following Sherlock as John made sure you didn’t try to go back down. You collapsed into John’s chair, throwing your legs over one of the arms, and Sherlock, having noted that your shoes were rubbing painfully a long while ago, reached to pull them off. He found your feet quickly out of his grasp as you shot him a glare and growled, “I can do it myself.” He looked adorably confused for a moment but you just scowled and leaned over to unstrap the red heels from your aching feet. It took him a few blinks to realize you were still upset which confused him even more and he defeatedly flopped down on the couch just as John emerged from his room with a bundle of clothes. You took it from him without a word and padded away to change, bathroom door shutting with a little more force than necessary behind you. John looked worriedly after you before turning back to Sherlock to demand, “Alright. Enough of this. You need to tell me what happened.”

There was a period of silence as John waited for some sort of answer with his arms crossed before Sherlock finally decided he didn’t really have very many other options, “I may have misspoken about something important.” John sighed, “So nothing new then… Did you explain to her what you really meant?” “I apologized.” Sherlock grumbled and John gaped at him for a second, “You apologized…?” “Yes, John. That is what I just said, isn’t it? I know it’s difficult for you to process things but could you at least try to keep up?” John rolled his eyes with a huff, reminding himself that he was doing this for you and not the difficult twat in front of him, “Alright so the great Sherlock Holmes apologized… did you tell her why you were apologizing?” There was a pause before Sherlock begrudgingly admitted, “No.” John rubbed at his brow in frustration, wondering how exactly he could explain to Sherlock why doing so was important before venturing an attempt, “You can’t just apologize and expect everything to go back to normal. She needs to know why you were apologizing… it’s like… you wouldn’t wrap up a case by just saying someone is a criminal without giving a full display of your deductions, would you?” Something seemed to click and Sherlock sat up to lace his fingers underneath his chin, “So you’re saying it’s not enough to be sorry… I also have to explain why? Your sister is not an idiot, John. She is perfectly capable of figuring that out on her own.” “How are you so… so… DENSE?” John seethed lowly, “If you don’t say what it is you are apologizing for you could be apologizing for anything and even if she did figure it out, there are some things that need to be said aloud to actually have an effect.” Sherlock rolled to face the back of the couch, displeased with John’s advice, and went back to trying to come up with his own solution to this problem while John let out an exasperated sigh and went to make tea for when you came back. In the bathroom, you slid off your dress, letting it fall to the floor, before taking a wet towel to your face and neck to get rid of the make up you’d used to cover your choke bruises. You traced the love bite Sherlock had left you with a finger before tying back your hair into a sloppy ponytail and splashing water over your face with a heavy sigh. There was too much going on in your head for you to think clearly. You weren’t a genius like Sherlock who could compartmentalize everything and handle the multitude of things that were thrown at him in a blink- you were normal. That was all… just normal. You couldn’t handle so many things in the course of one day without feeling like you were drowning. You almost wished that John didn’t know you so well and he’d just left you alone with your thoughts. Ultimately, he was right- if he had you would have either torn apart your apartment and then lain on the floor in the mess or started painting almost frantically in an attempt to deal with your thoughts and stayed that way for days. You tugged on the shirt and sweatpants John had given you and then the cream jumper he knew you loved, burying your face in the front of it to deeply breath in the familiar scent. What would you do without John? Padding out to join them again, you sat down at the living room table, pulling your feet up to sit cross-legged as you flipped open your sketchbook. John pursed his lips when he saw you, thinking that you should rest, but he knew better than to disturb you when you were drawing and just set your cup of tea next to you. He stroked your hair lightly and then pressed a kiss to the top of your bent head, “Try not to stay up too much longer, Squeak. You’ve had a long day.” You mumbled something that sounded like, “Night, Johnny,” as you grabbed an array of pencils to try and find the one you wanted and John slipped off to his room with a yawn. Sherlock shifted on the couch so he could watch you work, noting that this was a different level of sketching than what he’d seen from you before with you hastily switching pencils as you moved across the paper, and then closed his eyes to block out the rising sun and think. After a few hours and numerous, highly detailed drawings, Sherlock was brought out of his thoughts by the sound of your pencil point snapping from the intense pressure you were putting on the paper. You huffed, using the interruption of your work to flex your hand with a slight grimace before trying to find your pencil sharpener with the other. He narrowed his eyes when you started up again but with your non-dominant hand, cradling the one you’d been using in your lap. He got up and grabbed it before you could do anything to stop him. You blinked at him angrily through the haze of your thoughts as he slipped into the chair next to you, taking your hand in both of his in a way that demanded your attention. He pressed the pads of his thumbs firmly into your palm and you gave a pained gasp, trying to pull away from him as he started to rub circles across the appendage’s sore muscles. You relaxed after a moment when he got past the immediate stiffness and he lifted his eyes to look at you, “He left more scars on you than I originally thought.” You shifted uncomfortably, letting him keep your hand as you turned back to continue with your work, “It’s not a scar, Sherlock. It just gets stiff sometimes.” He moved to your fingers, gently tracing one before pressing his thumb against it just above the bottom joint. You squeaked, attempting to pull away again, but he kept a firm grip on your hand. Loosening it when you gave up, he traced each of your fingers as he quietly hummed, “Multiple fractures in every finger… the internal scaring is obviously extensive. It’s no wonder it bothers you.” You didn’t bother to ask how he’d known what your ex had done to your hand, setting down your pencil to look at him with sudden seriousness, “What do you want from me, Sherlock?” He looked down at your hand in silence for a moment, sandwiching it between his before flatly stating, “Patience.” Looking up to see you tilting your head at him in tired confusion, he continued, “I’m aware that at times I can be… insensitive... and I’ll admit that this is an experiment but not in the way you think. I’m curious about how I react to anything involving you… everything I do with you is an experiment because I’ve never attempted it before and as such can only hypothesize what the outcome may be. The only thing that I can say for certain is that it is not nor will it ever be my intent to hurt you.” There was a tense moment as you blinked to try and process that and then you sighed, rubbing at your temple, “I’m more than willing to be patient, Sherly, but you did hurt me. I think maybe we should take a step back…”

He moved a hand to cup your cheek and you inadvertently leaned into his touch, causing him to smirk as you sleepily hummed, “That’s not playing fair, Sherlock.” Pulling you up with very little resistance, he murmured, “All’s fair in love and war, darling,” before stretching out on the couch and tugging you to his chest. Too exhausted to try and fight it or to even verbally protest, you just snuggled into him and slipped off into a dreamless sleep.

summary: Adam surprises Anna by skipping a couple of shows and coming to her premiere in Paris for A Simple Favor. It’s their first public appearance together and they talk about their future in the hotel throughout the night.

Adam: The last two weeks had seemed to fly by just as Adam had hoped, and now the male couldn’t wait to get back home. Not only could he not wait to see his daughter because her second birthday was now just a few days away, but he couldn’t wait to see Anna either. So much so, he had made arrangements to be done with tour just two days before he was scheduled originally to come home, because he had remembered that Anna told him that she would be going to Paris later this month for a premiere, for her new movie. He hadn’t been able to make it out to the premiere back at home, so he had hoped that coming to the Paris premiere would make it up to her. Having alluded that he was still on tour and not coming home until the next two days were over, Adam packed his things and hopped on a flight to Paris to meet Anna. Once arriving and getting settled, he was able to talk to one of her stylists to get the name of the hotel that she was staying at and getting ready for the premiere in. As he made his way up to the room, he had already been showered and dressed because he got another room for himself and got situated to put his things down. Now, he had made his way to the room that Anna was in, and as he stood quietly in the doorway while she was getting her makeup done, Adam placed his finger up to his lips to motion everyone in the room to be quiet. Stepping forward just a little bit, he then begins to grin. “I like the natural look,” He says, teasing. “No make-up. You don’t need it.”

Anna: With Adam being away on tour, and Anna having her press, interviews and premiere’s starting Anna wasn’t sure when she was going to see him next. Of course it would be for Dusty’s birthday party, which honestly she couldn’t wait for considering Anna bought her so much stuff but right now she was focusing on getting everything done for this movie that was coming out. With a premiere happening in Paris, Anna was in her hotel room texting Blake to come up to her room beforehand since her manager wanted to take pictures. Sitting in the chair, she was getting ready. Her hair was getting done, the dress was being zippered and Anna’s make up was about to be put on. Looking at her phone and not paying attention, Anna turned and saw Adam standing in the doorway. Smiling big, she got up and ran over to him. “Baby!” She yelled, and wrapped her arms around his neck. Kissing him, Anna buried her face into his chest trying not to mess up her hair. “What are you doing here?” She asked, and kissed him deeply. Her team was smiling, and they laughed a little “Kendrick, we have a little bit of time left for you to get ready.. its nice to see you Adam.” Her stylist said, and stood there waiting for Anna to come and sit back down. “Baby what, what are you doing here in Paris?” Anna questioned again, she kissed him once more and hugged onto him.

Adam: He was probably crazy, deciding to skip out on the last two days of the tour and ending it earlier than expected to fly on a plane to Paris. However…he didn’t really care all too much. It was just two days short of when he’d originally be home for Dusty’s birthday anyway, and Anna had no idea that he was planning to come to this premiere with her, especially in Paris of all places. When he had arrived, the one thing on his mind was just being able to see her after they had been apart due to his touring for the last couple of weeks. “Hey…” He laughed a little, wrapping his arms around her before pressing his lips to her own to kiss her back, “You better be careful, you’re gonna mess everything up.” He continues to tease, gently running his fingers over the few loose strands of her hair. “Hi. Thanks again for the help.” He says to the stylist, throwing a smile in her direction. “I didn’t get to come to the premiere at home,” He says, kissing her back, “I figured that this would be the next best thing…and I know that you don’t like surprises but I thought this one could be an exception to the rule.”

Anna: With Adam surprising her, she wanted nothing more than to just spend the day with him but right now she couldn’t. They were in Paris, and it sucked that she was here for not even 24 hours before heading back to LA. As he wrapped her arms around her, and as he kissed her back Anna closed her eyes and licked her lips. “Shut up.” She whispered, but laughed a little at his comment and then chewed her lips. “Oh you’re welcome, the minute I saw the ring I knew you’d be the one for her.” Her stylist joked, but was being half serious “Seriously, thank you for making this one happy. She hasn’t stopped smiling or talking about you, or Dusty.” The older women said, and then Anna looked at him when he was playing with her hair. She loved it when he did that “Baby you didn’t, you didn’t have to come. What about the tour? Didn’t you have two more shows?” She questioned, and then kissed him again

Adam: His smile is widening as her stylist talks about the ring, and he can’t help but to laugh in agreement with her. “Well, I would hope so.” He says, playfully. “Of course, she makes me happy, so it’s only acceptable to make her happy in return, right?” He turns his attention back to Anna and he grins, moving his hand away from her hair. “You look amazing…” He whispers, “I did, but don’t worry about it. We figured it out, and it’s only two days earlier than what I was coming home anyway.” He kisses her cheek, then kisses her back and moves his lips back to her ear. “Bathroom…” He mutters, audible enough in a whisper just for her to hear him. “Five minutes,”

Anna: With her manager rolling her eyes, the older women laughed “You two are so cute it makes me want to throw up, seriously.” And walked over to the stylist, trying to help pick out some shows for Anna to wear. Seeing Adam grin, she looked at him “Thank you babe.” Pressing her forehead against his, the women wrapped her arms around his neck again and chewed her lips “Are you sure you can just, stop the tour like that? I promise, the tour is much more fun than this…, well maybe.” When he kisses her cheek, feeling his breath against her ear Anna bit down hard on her tongue to get her to not moan. “mmhmm” Anna whispered back “theyre going to be so mad.” Getting chills all up and down her body when he whispered, Anna kissed him softly again

Adam: Adam laughed a little, and then turned his attention back to Anna. He had felt bad about not being able to go to the premiere with her back in the states, but he had been dressed to go with her now and he loved it when she was all dolled up like this. “Babe, it was two more shows. Don’t worry about it.” He laughed a little, shaking his head. Kissing her cheek once more, he bites down on his lower lip for a moment and chuckled. Kissing her back, he’s still grinning against against her ear. “Down the hall.” He’s still whispering, averting the attention that they might be drawing by moving his lips to Anna’s head and gently kissing her ear. He looks down at his pants, and then takes his phone out of his pocket.

Anna: She was a little upset that he missed two of his shows, but she was happy and excited to have him here in Paris with her. Finally realizing that he was in a tux, Anna looked at him “You look good baby.” She said, and then looked at him and nodded “Okay” Was all she could say, after he continued to plant kiss after kiss. Doing as the women was told, Anna walked down the hall and into the bathroom waiting for him to arrive.

Adam: “I had to look good, having you on my arm for this premiere.” He says, letting out a small laugh. Once she made her way to the door to go down the hall to the bathroom, Adam waited a few moments and then looked down at his phone. Excluding himself to take a phone call, he stepped out of the room and made his way down the hall to the bathroom where Anna was waiting. Opening the door and stepping inside, he grins at his fiancée and then closes the door behind him. “Five minutes. I’ll be quick.” He whispers, pressing his lips to hers, before they moved down to her neck and he placed his hands on her waist to back her up against the sink.

Anna: “Oh hush” Anna said, and then when Adam finally reached the room where she was in the brunette looked at him up and down. Damn did he look good in a tux, she thought to himself. Feeling his breath against her lips Anna closed her eyes and moaned a little “five minutes?” she questioned, and then squealed when they moved down her neck and his hands were placed on her hips. “god i missed you” Anna whispered, and kissed him hard bitting his lip a little

Adam: “You look so good…” His breath is heavy and hot against her neck, and he’s quick in carefully taking the suit jacket off of his shoulders. Moving it aside, he chuckles and shakes head. “Shhh, we have to be quick or they’re gonna figure out what we’re doing. They’re not stupid, babe.” He teases. Carefully lifting her up onto the sink, he stands between her legs as he kisses her back, small moan of his own falling from his lips as she bit his lip. “Mmm.” He whispered, “I missed you so much.”

Anna: “And I’m gonna look so good, naked and ontop of you.” She teased and then watched as he took his jacket off. Throwing his shirt off him, Anna laughed and nodded “I know, I’m sorry but whenever you put your hands on my hips..” Breathing heavy, when he lifts her up on the sink Anna moans again this time louder when he’s between her and she kissed him deeply “I love you, and I missed you too”

Anna: After her premiere, and Adam being a surprise on the red carpet Anna was exhausted. Once arriving back to her hotel, Anna took her heals off and changed into pajamas that she had packed for the night. Taking her make up, and jewelry off Anna finished washing her face and brushed her teeth. Feeling like she was about to fall asleep, Anna laid on the bed and waited for Adam to join her “Hey baby…, I just realized something.”

Adam: The premiere went great, and Adam had been happy that everything seemed to go well. Surprising Anna turned out better than he thought that it would, and now he was glad to have his things that he packed and to be back at her hotel with her. They weren’t here for too much longer, but Adam was exhausted and ready to get home to his daughter for her birthday party within the next few days. He had just changed into a pair of sweatpants while Anna was getting ready for bed, and after he had brushed his own teeth and done the same in getting ready to go to bed, he made his way out of the bathroom and back into the room. “Hm?” He asks, carefully getting under the covers with her. “What?”

Anna: As he came into bed with her, under the covers, Anna smiled softly and kissed him. “This is the first premiere that you’ve been too with me, none of my boyfriends have ever gone to any of my premieres.” Anna said, and then realized she said boyfriend instead of fiance. Glad that her stylist reminded her to take the engagement ring off for the premiere, Anna got up out of bed and went into the safe to get it. Putting it on, she got back into bed with Adam and laid on her side but looked at him “Thank you for coming here tonight, and surprising me.”

Adam: “Wait…” He starts, soft tone in his voice as he turns carefully on his side to look at her. “Really? You know, you could have said “No, fuck off—you’re staying here” and I would have.” He’s teasing now, before letting out a small laugh. He noticed that she slips up with the word boyfriend instead of fiancé, but he doesn’t say anything. He only watches her get the engagement ring and put it back into her finger before climbing back into the bed, and he reaches his hand out now for her own. “You’re welcome, baby…” He whispers. “I missed you. I missed you so much.”

Anna: It was true, none of her previous boyfriends had never gone to anyone of her premieres unless it was Edgar but he didn’t count since he was a director of their one film. Taking a breath, Anna nodded and smiled when he turned to face her “I’m dating a rockstar, I want to show you off.” She said softly, and kissed him deeply. With the Eiffel Tower as their window view, Anna smiled softly while looking at it trying not to get lost within her thoughts. When he takes her hand, Anna kisses his neck softly and then the temple of his head “I missed you so much too.” She whispered, and pressed her forehead against his “Do, do you think I’m going to be a good mom?”

Adam: “Oh yeah? Arm candy?” Adam asked, wiggling his eyebrows playfully. Letting out another small laugh, he kisses her back. Lacing their fingers together gently as their kiss breaks away, he’s content in that moment just laying there as she kisses his skin. He then stays quiet for a few moments at the sound of her question, but doesn’t take long in answering it. “Of course I do…” He whispers, nodding his head. “Baby, I…I think that you’re going to make an amazing mom. I know that you hear me say this all the time, but you’re so good with Dusty. Not only Dusty, but you have other friends who have kids and you’re good with them too. It’s only gonna be ten times better when it’s not your friend’s son or daughter, but when it’ll be /your/ son or daughter.”

Anna: Watching him wiggling his eyebrows, Anna laughed and shoved her hands in his face playfully “oh my god stop.” When he interlaces her fingers with his, Anna lets out a soft hum and closed her eyes for a few moments. Listening to Adam’s answer, she smiled softly and then kissed him deeply “I love Dusty. I’ve, I love her so much and she isn’t even mine.” Anna said, and then finally looked at him “Our son, or our daughter.” Swallowing hard, she kissed im again “You wanna know what I’m the most afraid of?”

Adam: He lets out a full laugh now, but it’s only for a few moments until their talk becomes serious again. He could never get enough of her kissing him, which had been why he wasn’t missing a beat in kissing her back. “I know you do.” He says, “I know you do, and she loves you too. I see it in her eyes, every time they light up when she says your name or sees you.” He’s beginning to smile, somewhat against her lips. “Hm…” He whispers. “Tell me…”

Anna: With him planting kisses one by one, and her kissing him in return Anna moved in to be closer to him. Almost spooning now, she smiles and closes her eyes again when he talks about Dusty “She’s just, she’s so cute.” Taking a breath, she looks at him “That after all this trying, I’ll get pregnant but then lost it.” Letting out a breath once more, Anna pressed her forehead against his “I know that’s, pretty dark but it’s just a thought that keeps playing in my head.”

Adam: Adam could tell how much Dusty cared about Anna, how much she had grown to love her over the last couple of months that they had been dating. He could tell the same thing when it came to Anna too, considering how much she used to tell him that she wasn’t all that good with kids. He still couldn’t even believe that he of all people was somewhat of a reason that she wanted that—especially with him. He kisses Anna’s forehead, and at her confession, he begins to frown again. “…Baby…” He begins softly, letting out a small breath himself. “I…I don’t blame you for having that thought. It makes you wonder what would happen if we went through all of this, just for something like that to happen.” He sighs once more. “I…want us to make sure that we do everything we can for this to work out in our favor. I want this with you…” He says, quietly. “I want…in a couple of years, to hear /our/ daughter, or /our/ son, come into the living room and call us both Mommy and Daddy while playing with Dusty in the play room. I want all of that. Nothing would make me happier than to wake up knowing that I have that. With you.”

Anna: It still till this day surprised her that she waited so long, /so long/ to find the right person to settle down and start a family with. Never did she expect to do so though, her job had always made her the happiest. When she met Adam though, and Dusty, that all changed. He didn’t change her, he did but he changed her for the better and she’d forever be grateful for that. Laying there with him, talking about their future together Anna felt content. When he kissed her forehead, she closed her eyes for a few moments and chewed her lips. Hearing him call her ‘baby’, Anna had always loved that and she let of a soft hum. “It scares me Adam, it scares me so much because I know /that/ would kill me. If something like /that/ would happen, I wouldn’t be able to handle that or get over that.” Anna admitted, and it was true. She never wanted kids, so for it to work and then not Anna wouldn’t be the same afterwards. Hearing him sigh, she sighs too but continues to listen to him speak. “I want this with you too, so badly and it bothers me so much that other women get pregnant so easily and I can’t. I’m so sorry that it’s taking so long. I’m sorry that I, have a fucked up vagina.” Anna said laughing nervously, but was being half serious. Smiling softly when Adam said /our/ song or daughter, the brunette closed her eyes for a few moments to think about it, to picture a mini Adam or Anna running around their new home with Dusty. “I want to hear that too, so badly and I want… I just want a family with you baby and it kills me that I, that I can’t give that to you right away.” She whispered, and then leaned in to kiss him softly “I hope she doesn’t get my curls.” Anna said, now thinking about what their future children would look like

Adam: “Anna…” His voice is distraught, but full of assurance because he knows that she needs it right now, in that moment with them laying there together in her hotel room bed. They had never come to that realization before right now, that they could be doing all of this in attempt and in hopes of Anna getting pregnant, only for her to eventually lose the baby. While Adam knew that they needed to stay positive about it, and to not think about something as dark as that, he also knew that it /could/ happen, because it /could/ happen to anyone and sadly, no one, even them, were an exception to that at all. He just wanted to be there for her as a comfort fall back, and hoped that he had been doing alright with it so far, considering. He lets out a small breath, but he doesn’t say anything else. He just wraps his arm comfortably around her and pulls her in closer to him, this time so they’re really spooning. He’s behind her though, and his lips are gently attached to her neck. “So, you can say that you have a fucked up vagina but I can’t use that word?” He says, playful tone in his voice. He kisses her lips, but then quickly brings them back to her neck. He’s not kissing her skin as much as he’s letting his lips are just gently gliding over the skin itself. “Do you know how special it’ll be when it happens? It’ll…It’ll make sense, it’ll all be worth it, for how much time it’s taking.” Twisting his head slightly to kiss her back, he laughs softly against her lips for a moment before breaking away. “Why not? I think your curls would look cute on our daughter.”

Anna: When Adam ays her name, she closes her eyes and hums once again “hmm?” she questioned. Anna knew he was trying to be there for her, and she knew she should let him. He was going through this too, and maybe he was having the same thoughts as her. The brunette was trying to stay positive about it, but in some moments it was hard for her. When he lets out a small breath, and wraps his arms around her now that she was finally spooning him, Anna let out a content sigh. Feeling his lips on her neck, Anna moaned softly and then nodded “I never said you /can’t/ use that word, it just sounds weird for some reason.” Anna shook her head, and then kissed his lips back. “I know, it’ll all be worth it. I’m just…, scared.” She said, and then when he kisses her once more she presses her forehead against his and then laughs “Baby, my curls were not cute at all. Our daughter would get made fun out with those curls.”

Adam: “I know you’re scared. You’re allowed to be scared.” It would be concerning to Adam if Anna wasn’t scared about this situation, because he couldn’t lie and say that he wasn’t scared himself. Of course he was, he was terrified. This entire process was something that he never thought would become a reality, but he had wanted this so badly with Anna that he would do anything with her to make sure that they would get what they wanted with a baby. “The last time I said it, you said I couldn’t say it.” Adam says, letting out a laugh. “Really? You don’t think your curls were cute? C’mon!” He says, playfully. “Don’t say that about our future daughter.”

Anna: “You’re allowed to be scared about this too, you know. I know this.., with Behati it wasn’t like this and it was easy.” Anna said, she took a breath and then kissed him softly “I’m sorry” She said again, swallowing the lump in her throat. Shaking her head, she laughed “Nope, no I didn’t.” Not remembering, she kissed him instead and looked at him “Our daughter will not be in the industry when she’s a kid by the way, I refuse.”

Adam: “Yeah—I…I know.” He sighs, swallowing down a lump in his own throat. He had always had problems talking out the way that he felt, but he had been working on it. Anna was his girlfriend, his fiancée, she’d be his /wife/ before they knew it. If anything, he should at least be able to open up to her if not anyone else. Kissing her back, he laughs against her lips at her words. “What? Why!” He says, continuing through laughter. “Baby, you don’t know what she’ll grow up liking. What if she wants to sing, or do Broadway, or movies? You’d tell her no?”

Anna: She hoped he’d open more up about it to her soon, and it bothered her a little that he didn’t but Anna wasn’t going to push him on it. With him laughing against her lip, she held his face and looked a him “I was on Broadway when I was 12, I’m not gonna let my daughter do the same thing. I want her to be a kid you know?” She questioned, and then looked at him

Adam: As Anna holds his face, Adam becomes quiet for a moment and stares at her. Of course, out of all of the things that she had done, this had been one of those things that turned him on out of absolutely nowhere. “She can’t be a kid and sing? Do movies if she wants?” He whispers, biting down on his lower lip before starting to grin as he stares back at her.

Anna: When he was staring at her, Anna raised her eyebrows “What?” She questioned, and then noticed that he bit down on his lip “No. I mean she can sing, but I’m not gonna let her travel into the city alone to audition. I’m not turning my daughter into a workaholic no matter how bad she wants it.” Anna said, and then shook her head “I mean I was a spoiled bitch and would stop at nothing, but this is /our/ daughter I’m talking about. She’s gonna be a kid”

Adam: “You’re doing that thing again.” He teased. The bite down on his lip grows stronger and he shakes his head before letting out a chuckle. “I mean, obviously we aren’t gonna let her do that, babe. I want her to do whatever she wants to do without being a workaholic too, though.” He starts, “Just like how I want Dusty to be a kid first too.”

Anna: Smiled softly while listening to him. This night had been perfect and when he surprised her she couldnt of been happier. Less than 24 hours in Paris with him wasnt enough. The talk about them and their future kid, Anna loved nights like those with him. The women was happy, utterly and truly happy.
