GENERAL NIGHT AT THE MUSEUM HEADCANONS - Main 7 characters

SUMMARY: Just some headcanons I have always had based on the characters and the way the movie portrays them.

WARNINGS: Fluff, angst, romance, discussions of trauma, funny moments, flashbacks, mentions of loss, mentions of betrayal, mentions of homesickness, reader is mentioned a bit. My opinions! 😱

Any facts I wasn't sure of I used wiki fandom!

AHKMENRAH:

As many people have suggested, Ahk is a HUGE cat person. Before he was left in the sarcophagus for 4000 years, he had 100s and 1000s of cats. Different breads, both female and male, long royal names for each one. But his favourite will always be his childhood cat that started his love for the feline animal.

Out of all characters, Ahk experiences the most homesickness. This could be because he was barely 18 before he died, so he still has a touch of childhood in his soul.

Always ready and eager to learn something new, or info dump on the closest set of ears. When he gets with reader, he waits patiently for the “safe zone” to spill every fact about his time. Also things he read in books at Cambridge and the museum. You could call him a broken tap!

One way that calms him down is humming nursery rhymes, and songs his Mother used to sing to him. The main time it works impeccably is when he thinks of his brother’s betrayal.

Since the tablet was first created, his (along with his family) soul has always had a strong connection to night. So he goes to the roof top, or a window and star gazes anytime he can.

Ahkmenrah will defend the Kardashian and Jenner women until the end of time (if you know, you know 😂).

When he is introduced to chocolate, Garlic bread, sour gummy candies and Iced water. He felt like he met heaven.

Is very serious, yet still his usual gentle and kind self, when it comes to romantic relationships. He will take each step at a time, really wanting to get to know his potential partner. Consent Pharaoh, drinks his “I respect women” juice, will ask you to be his officially at the four month mark, and will not kiss your lips until you are official.

Absolutely dreads sunrise, as the wraps take as he would say “a whole millennium” to get them back on. At the beginning he would get Teddy and Larry to help him, but it becomes a special thing between him and reader.

Ahk most likely feels the most safe and comfortable around Larry, as he has moments where he needs advice or guidance from a father figure.

Ahkmenrah loves a good, lighthearted, non offensive prank. When he and Nick hang out, chaos will follow.

Both Sacagawea and Ahkmenrah supported each other when getting adjusted to not being trapped in their exhibits. This started their friendship.

When he became a DJ, he felt his death age the most. He found a passion that he could learn, perfect and show it off to the people he cares most about

OCTAVIUS:

Octavius talks about Rome so much that he definitely fits the stereotype of “you make your background your whole personality”. He will get defensive if the stereotype is mentioned.

If he and Jed were to be parents, they would 100% have adopted 2 Girls and 2 boys. Octavius would surprisingly be the fun Dad.

Before Larry, he had a massive hatred towards the night guards. He was fine with being locked up, he had his comrades. What angered him was the derogatory comments made by the guards. It took months upon months to wake up and not be filled with immediate dread.

He is a BIG chick flick fan! He also loves the whole concept of Christmas, so his favourite flick would be Love Actually.

He can read Dexter like an open book. he learns the signs of Dexter’s cheeky behavior to avoid another “Pompeii” situation.

Each time he hears any sword noises he smiles to himself and whispers to himself, “Ah Rome, you were a wonderful empire to be apart of”

He is also an avid info dumper, so there can be hours of time where he and Ahkmenrah bond over their “ancient times”. The 2 find so many similarities and differences that leave them fascinated to learn more.

The Cowboy hat rule, also applies for his helmet. And he will only take it off for extended periods of time if Jedediah is present. This is because he would kill for a head scratch.

Octavius will slip into Latin whenever he is feeling intense levels of emotion (positive). The amount of times it has happened, has resulted in everyone, including reader, being able to understand the language and somewhat communicate.

He uses the Latin version of pet names for Jed. He mainly uses “Amica mea” (my love), “Puer meus vacca” (my cowboy), “Solis radius” (sun ray) and “Mutum Asinum” (dumb ass).

Octavius is the type to bottle his emotions when something has deeply upset him. It takes a lot to get him to take the cap off and explain why he is feeling the way he is.

Octavius is super supportive of other religions and cultures. Which is super rare given Romans pride themselves on their religion and culture above everything.

When Octavius discovered the front desks computer, he immediately (with great struggle since the apparatus had not been made yet) he became so obsessed with it you could call him a teenager. He honestly gatekept it for ages before he found something that Jedediah would like and then it became their fun activity before sunrise.

JEDEDIAH:

Jedediah definitely has ADHD to a certain degree (This is coming from someone who is definitely has it but has yet to be officially diagnosed 😂), and has to be redirected to the main topic at least 3 times a day.

When he was trapped in the hourglass by Kahmunrah, he did everything in his power to cause havoc. Jedediah wasn't stuck with Kahmunrah, Kahmunrah was stuck with Jedediah!!

When Octavius showed him he computer, he consumed every piece of western media as he wanted to know how people perceived his time period.

He gets along with everyone, and only hates people if they have treated the people he cares about in a negative way. He is more then willing to take the blame or pain for others.

Jed will take a secret to his grave, but he will sometimes tell Octavius so technically they will be taking it to the grave. He will not tell him if the person who confided in him, was going through a difficult time. He understands boundaries...to a certain extent.

Jed is a HUGE foodie, and has a tendency to say "are you going to finish that?" even if the person eating is literally chewing their food. he would kill for anything that has an element of bread. Hence why he doesn't shut up about flapjacks.

His way of showing he is really angry or upset is going completely, utterly, eerily silent. It honestly makes people get the creeps, since they are so used to his upbeat usual self.

He can feel lost at times in regards to being a museum exhibit. He has organic thoughts of the future, but then he remembers he's a miniature figurine and feels this overwhelming sense of identity dysphoria. Reader (who is either another night guard or a child of a staff member) helps him feel more human, with a sense of purpose.

His favourite western movie is Tombstone, and quotes "I'm your Huckleberry" whenever people call for him. it brings him immense joy.

In his time, I see him having a female dog named Bonnie and a male cat named Blaize. He mentions this to Larry and he sends in a request at the sculpting department to make them for him. Larry makes sure no detail is left unadded. When Jedediah wakes up 2 nights later he is greeted with the familiar bark, and meow that he remembered so clearly.

Jed has an assigned swear jar and adds to it 20+ times a night.

ATTILA:

ATTILA IS INSANLY GOOD WITH KIDS! He has that scene at the end of the second movie, which backs me up here. But even before then I got this vibe that if you accidently left your child near his exhibit, he would be the Tony Stark of the museum and think "Get me the adoption papers now!".

When Attila and the Huns discovered Harry potter, they became obsessed as it fits their belief in magic. They have watched all seven movies a concerning amount of time each.

Attila was a huge help with getting Ahkmenrah adjusted to his new normal. When he first noticed Ahk's struggles he didn't think twice before he put a hand on his shoulder, asked him to go for a walk and got him to open up. He is like the uncle you go to when your parents "Just don't get it!".

Attila 100% has a RIWTKYF, "Resting I Want To Kill You Face". This has been one of many reasons why some of his friendships with the other exhibits took a while to come to fruition.

When Nick was still young, he politely asked Attila if he could try on his helmet. Larry tried to lecture him, stating "It is sacred Nick, that is not ok". Larry received a slap to the back of the head by Attila, with a "Shush". He placed the Helmet on Nicks head and told the Huns "He is the leader for the night!". Nick Had a blast to say the least.

Speaking of Attila's Helmet, he has heard a lot of drama sessions from Jed and Octavius. sometimes he joins in, sometimes he is happy to just listen.

Attila lowkey can't stand the Neaderthal's constant "FIRE FIRE FIRE" sometimes. He can hear it either next to him or down the hallway and it gives him a serious headache. Ahk will offer his exhibit for some relief.

Before Attila passed away he had just been married, so he often wonders what happened to his wife and misses her deeply. Larry and reader enjoy reading books to him, so he knows about her life. He left the room with a smile that didn't quite meet his eyes.

Teddy and Attila definitely have conversations/interactions that show they are stuck in their 40s/50s. I'm talking getting frustrated with technology, not understanding modern day slang, saying "Back in my day" and the "Dad grunt".

If Attila discovered music, he would LOVE the band The Village people, his favourite song is "In the navy". He asks Larry or reader to put the song on by pointing to the computer saying "Navy please".

Attila had the hardest time adjusting to waking up from the tablet. because he also needed to take care of his Huns. He pretended to be strong and that the whole situation wasn't affecting him at all, when in reality he was losing it inside.

SACAGAWEA:

Sacagawea was so relived when the glass on her exhibit wasn’t fixed. She was dreading going back to only hearing the Clark brothers yapping.

Sacagawea was low key checking Teddy out to, but the glass was stopping her from getting his attention.

When Sacagawea meets reader (for the sake of the point reader has ribcage length hair) she is so happy to meet another woman, that her way of bonding is offering to braid readers hair. As she braids they talk and get to know each other.

She may be a soft spoken and rational person but get her mad, and she her voice will ring in her ears for weeks.

Sacagawea got a photo of Teddy, and hid it in her clothes when the tablet wasn’t in the museum and in London.

Ahkmenrah, Sacagawea and Teddy create a “new exhibit adjustment program” for new or moved exhibits. They would’ve love that, so they started it for them to fill that void.

Sacagawea is always the logical voice of reason when there is a difficult situation happening. Let’s just say that the men of the museum would be done for without her 😂

When Sacagawea first sees a woman in pants she is so happy to know that women get to do the same things as men in modern day. Reader loves explaining the history of feminism.

Sacagawea’s love language with Teddy is acts of service, which we get a taste for when she helps connect his lower body back to his upper body. Teddy is still trying to give her the perfect thank you gift, but she kindly refuses them saying she is happy to just be with him.

She has the job of scolding Dexter when he’s being naughty because he is low key scared of her.

When she discovers music and movies she loves 70s soft pop and action romance.

Her way of knowing how fast time was going was watching Nick grow up. Each time she noticed even the smaller changes in his appearance, voice or personality Sacagawea would feel a huge shift in time.

TEDDY:

Teddy requests a newspaper that has the current state of the US’ politics. He has on many occasions thrown it in the air, walked towards the door screaming “I AM GOING TO TEACH THEM HOW TO RUN A CONTRY!”. Lucky Sacagawea has stopped him every time.

When he gives advice it’s either well thought out and considerate of one’s emotions, or he is straight to the point and cutthroat. Absolutely no in between.

Teddy and Ahk had a very awkward period of time because Teddy felt bad for shutting him up instead of helping him get out of his sarcophagus. Ahk being Ahk put it passed him and they got on like a house on fire.

When everyone dances and has fun, he is more happy to be watching on the side. He claims he’s “to old” to be dancing, reader disagrees and gets him to let loose on the dance floor!

He started the swear jar for Jed, as he got sick of “Fuck this” “shit” “asshole!” Every single sentence. Once the jar was full he took the money and put it towards the upkeep of the museum. His way of paying for something as it made him feel human again.

He definitely called MEMEs “Meh Mehs” for the first year of knowing about them.

He couldn’t find Sir Lancelot serious at all!! Every time he spoke Teddy covered his mouth to hide his smile or laugh. He was so close to calling him “The fool” “sir Erik” or “Jingle-elot”.

Teddy’s hat or pockets are Jedediah and Octavius’s backup travel option if Attila was unable to help with transportation.

His role in the NEAP is to show the new exhibit around and get them adjusted to the place they will temporarily/permanently call home for their time there.

When he first Jump scared Larry, he realised how evilly joyful it was and makes it his mission to scare him every night.

Teddy’s way of passing time before getting ready for sunrise is making sure Texas is looking sharp and clean. He enjoys having a quiet conversation while he listens to the brush run through Texas’ Maine.

After the “At their size, they’ll bake like tiny little scarabs in the Sinai…too dark?” Moment with Ahkmenrah. He can be a little scared of him at times 😂

He loves the 3 seconds of “warmth” the sun gives him before he goes to sleep. Thats when he feels most human.

LARRY:

Larry after a while had the realisation that the instructions were actually the ways the prior guards used to punish them, and burned it. From this he wrote a whole new instruction guide to help the newer guards after him.

He has created a schedule for the Easter island statue because there were some close calls near sunrise. But he won’t stop giving him his “Gum Gum” as it causes the worst earthquakes from his screams!

He may have a love-hate relationship with Dexter, but he is ready to defend the capuchin with his whole heart.

When Nick was young he set up a little “bedroom” for him so he could sleep there on school nights and not be affected the next day. Is incredibly lenient to letting him have a sleep in or skip school when there is a reasonable gap between each time.

When Mr McPhee has pissed him off a little too much, he has 100% planned ways to beat home up or kill him.

He has shown the civil war dudes what NASCAR is and they become obsessed. He feels really proud of himself for it.

Shit talks about Kahmunrah with Ahkmenrah. They have the an ungodly amount of glee from it.

He cannot hold a romantic relationship to save his life! But once he starts teaching he meets his forever partner at the front desk of the collage he works at 7 years into the job. Nick approved immediately.

He took inspiration from Star Wars for his flashlight tricks, and will on occasion make lightsaber noises.

It still trips Larry out that’s he met, made eye contact and spoke to Hugh Jackman, and sometimes he needs to sit down and process it.

He loves to put on Kahmunrah’s lisp from time to time to make jedediah laugh when he’s feeling down. Jed is always left in stitches after.

He has nightmares of the multi-headed snake at least once a month. This causes him to develop a deep fare of snakes in general.

Brassius

You'll have to drag him away from his work otherwise he will just be hunched over painting the whole day instead of taking breaks to eat and hydrate. Is also a bit stubborn when it comes to taking a break, but if he sees that you're getting upset or frustrated then he'll put his paint brush down.

Constantly watching you. When you two are on dates or just doing something like grocery shopping together, his eyes are watching your every movement. You're his muse and he doesn't want to miss seeing something that can spark his inspiration.

Likes to go to museums with you. Museum dates are something he always likes. And when he travels due to Gym Leader business, he's sure to take you with (if you want to, it's fine if you don't), but he's going to show you other museums in other locations.

Grusha

Wants to go snowboarding with you a lot. He's unable to do it professionally due to his injury, but he's happy to go on a date where he snowboards with you. There're some bittersweet moments with him while snowboarding, but he assures you that he is very happy to have these moments with you.

Grusha tries to seem like he has things together when he's with you. He's actually rather stressed out, but he doesn't like you seeing that side of him. Pull aside and hug him and he'll give the deepest sigh of relief because he really needed the hug.

Not the most emotional person. His scarf hides his face, so you really only have his eyes to tell you how he's feeling. But even with his emotions not really on his sleeves, he always gives you the softest looks.

Hassel

Lots of soft music playing throughout his house. Or even when you visit his classroom at the school, there's some soft music in the background. Even though he didn't go into music, he still very much loves it still.

Remembers lots of things about you too. Knows exactly what drinks you like and how you like to eat certain foods. Anytime he notices you're a bit stress or anxious, he's there with a comfort item he remembers you mentioning.

You get to witness his grumbling when he's doing schoolwork and he ends up smearing ink or pencil on his hand because he's left-handed. Just little pouts on his face because he thought he was careful this time. It's very adorable.

Larry

He is so tired and overworked all the time. And he's not going to hide his tired appearance from you. He won't complain (too much) in front of you, but he's not going to try and seem like he has his crap together in front of you all the time.

Real big on staying home and hanging out. He doesn't mind if you want to go out and do something, but he prefers staying home and relaxing. Doesn't mind doing typical house husband stuff either. Yeah, he worked all day, but he doesn't mind male wife-ing it up for you.

Either falls asleep too easily or cannot sleep no matter what. If you two are watching TV or something, then he'll end up falling asleep halfway through. But when it comes to actually laying down in bed, he is awake. His body is tired, but his mind is awake as he just holds you close and let's his eyes rest at least.

The summer heat was too much for you. It wasn't uncommon that you stayed indoors while the boys ran around outside, just barely avoiding injury. You worried for them sometimes, but everything washed away when Isaac was around. He'd come in early or stay the whole day inside with you, cuddling up with you on the couch.

It had only been a few months since the two of you became official. A month ago, you had moved into the big group house with all of the boys. Nothing had prepared you for this new life, but you didn't mind it as long as you were spending it with Isaac. He was sort of a protector against the rest of the guys. Every time someone made a joke that stepped over the line, Isaac was the one to put his foot down and was willing to kill the mood if it meant you were okay.

The rest of the group had just clamored in from spraying each other with water guns for a video and where sopping wet, which mildly infuriated the two of you.

"Are you serious?" You asked, "Please stop getting everything wet."

Blake laughed. "We forgot to bring the towels outside! Sorry!"

"You gotta be kidding me." Isaac stood up from beside you, "You guys are cleaning up this mess once you're dry."

"Sorry, daddy Isaac," Nick joked.

Isaac just shook his head and took his spot back next to you. The two of you chilled out together as the commotion now in the bathroom continued. He wrapped his arms around your shoulders and held you close, your head rested against his chest. You heard the loud noises of laughter getting louder as the guys poured into the living room once again.

"God, you two are gross," Larry scoffed.

"You just wish you were in my place," You retorted.

Larry shook his head, but a wide grin was across his face. "You got me there. I would die to get Isaac's big, strong arms around me."

"You're fucking weird." Isaac bit back.

"Seriously, though, you two gotta stop clinging onto each other like you'll never see each other again. It's embarrassing to live around." Tanner joined in.

"What? No, we're friends, dude!" Isaac shouted.

"Friends?" You looked over to him.

"Well- you know, we're.." He trailed off, his gaze averting from you.

"Spit it out already, will you?" You said.

"Together, right? We're together?"

You wriggled out of Isaac's grasp and stood up, looking down at him. "I hope you can figure it out."

It shouldn't have been something that set you off, but it did. You stormed back to your room, which you hated in the moment that you shared it with Isaac. You shut the door and locked it, laying on the bed and scrolling through your phone. You wanted to be exclusive and have dumb labels with Isaac, not just be some weird "friends" with him.

It didn't take very long before a knock came and Isaac's voice followed.

"Hey, I'm sorry, okay? I didn't know what to say and.. I'm sorry I hurt your feelings. I just don't know what to call this thing between us, you know?"

You sighed, finally standing up from the bed and walking over to the door, unlocking and opening it. You looked up at Isaac with an uninterested look on your face.

"This 'thing' between us is more than a thing to me, Isaac. You're my boyfriend, aren't you?"

"I am! I am your boyfriend! I'm fine with you calling me that, I'm just.. god, I'm screwy with my words."

"If you need help, I want you to be able to ask for it."

"Okay. Um.." Isaac fidgeted with his hands, "What would you like to call this?"

"A relationship. We're dating. I'm your partner. We're together, yes, but I don't want it to be some shaky word that sounds like a 'maybe'. I want it to be us. Okay?"

You embraced Isaac, and everything felt lovely again. Larry was right, his big, strong arms were a dream to be held in.

Erin loves Mimikyu... It kind of reminds him of himself as sad as that is. He also just likes fairy and ghost types– it's both, so naturally he adores it.

Inka likes Galvantula (begrudgingly). He inherited her father's fondness for the arachnids. She likes electric types a lot – They tend to match her more energetic and fast nature.

Emma loves Gothitelle. The general aesthetic and allure of the pokemon are enough to capture her attention – Plus, she likes something about psychic types. Her pokemon seemingly to simply be aware of most things are preferred by her.

Cyllene (Lenie) loves Rotoms... Like her dad. Their compatibility with machines and mischievous natures makes her happy. She also really likes Weaviles... The nature of felines agrees with her own more aloof nature.

Astrea likes Gibles and Togepis. She simply grew up being gifted each of them as partners, so there was a natural bond she built easily with the opposing types. The way her Gible unconsciously seems to chew on everything while her Togepi needs so much support entertains her. Plus, she does want to become a strong wielder like her father.

Nero likes Pangoros. Something about how they walk the fine line between being a fighting type and dark type fascinates him... And how they won't stand for bullying. Just like him. He finds its nature completely is inverse of a certain somebody he does not enjoy the presence of. (Grimsley is amused he likes one dark type despite his insistence he likes none.)

Morrigan is much like her father with her preference for dark types... Particularly, she enjoys Liepard. Her father's tastes usually align with her own. Granted, she does have an off shoot preference for Mawile. It shocks mostly people... It's a fairy steel type— Not particularly types one expects a dark type trainer to prefer. She teras it, though. Dark type Mawile. It still aligns.

Colress's daughter likes Tinkaton. Her father's love of steel types was inherited, but she adores cute things. She, too, likes Mawile, actually. And Alolan Dugtrio. She likes how strong and powerful they are whole also being cute. Colress is bewildered and asks lots of questions as to why.

Larry's son quite likes Dudunsparce like his father... Or other normal types. Really, his only strong preference is for normal types. Nothing else. Oh, he also likes Snorlax for some unknown reason. (Reminds him of his dad a bit.)

Larry's daughter likes Altaria and Oricorio. She just loves flying types. She's a bit floaty like them, so they really suit her personality. Her Oricorio is in Pa'u style, so she just watches it and her Altaria dance with a dreamy smile. Her father worries for her.

Betrayal *Break in fanfic*

i have decided to right some break in fanfiction this takes place out break in 1. Ill say a day or two after Larry was defeated by the family.

content warning and trigger warning for some violence and characters getting drugged near the end. Including implied torture.

Larry opened his eyes, his whole body was aching but what hurt most was his back. Sat up slowly and looked around. He was in a med bay at one of the bases, the one Mary was in charge of. He was relieved for a second to not be in a jail cell until he realized something.

"oh... oh god...."

He remembers what happened. That family... when the purge started before usually everyone who lived in the neighborhood ether ran off or heavily secure there homes. And those who didn't would usually beg for there lives giving away there valuables in exchange for them.

Those few that decided to try and fight the mobsters wouldn't usually come out good in the end. Even if people managed to take down some of them Larry or even the other leaders like Mary would come and end them all until that family moved into town.

A family of 9 people. 5 adults, and 4 children, when Larry's men managed to break in there house, the adults defeated them, defending there kids. Larry went into the house to take care of them himself but they managed to slip by. Later when they finally tried running he and his men cornered them in the sewers.

Larry was never a man who couldn't admit when someone put up a good fight and Those adults did put up a good one, defeated most of the men with him, however he was much stronger for all of them. He was going to end one of them when one of the kids attacked him to protect there parent. Hitting him in the key which hurt really badly, when they knew the key was his weak spot they all attacked it until he dropped.

Larry felt a wave of embarrassment and a bit of fear in his body. Being defeated by common folk including literal children was bad enough but he wondered what would he think, what would he do to him. As these questions filled his mind, Mary entered the room startling him.

"Hey you're up!!! Larry how are you feeling?" She asked tossing him a water bottle.

"Oh Mary.... jesus do- do you know what happened?"

"Oh- you mean the fact a bunch of common folk defeated you??? Some of which were literally children?? Oh yeah, your men told me all about that- heh one guy even took a picture of it gave the twins a good laugh. You were lucky though those same men managed to save you before the cops could get to you."

Larry stared at her horrified, Mary went to sit down next to him. "Hey don't worry! Sometimes we get a little cocky- heh i probably would've been to!"

"Did... did.. he say anything?" He asked.

"Oh yeah... He wasn't happy but don't worry since you're not a random minion he isn't going to toss you into lava or anything!!"

Larry felt a little relieved to hear that but still felt a bit worried, Larry wasn't usually afraid of most things ever since he became leader but- that man, the headmaster was the one person he feared the most.

"So ummm.... Larry this might be a bad time to ask but do you think you can help me with something???"

"With what??"

"You see- i have been working on a little prototype for a bigger weapon"."

"Oh- oh really-!"

"Yup! Do you think you can help me? I had trouble getting it to work and i really could use some help- the others are really busy and my minions don't seem to understand it but I'm sure you will!"

"You know what- sure need to do something to get my mind- off that incident."

"Wonderful!! Do you need help up or?"

Mary gave him a smirk. "Yup that's were it is!!"

The two of them started walking over to her lab. Mobsters standing in the hall started chuckling to themselves though when Larry glared at them they all ran off. Larry looked a bit towards Mary who was humming to herself.

"Umm Mary can you describe this weapon- you seem very excited about it."

"Oh uh-- can't really describe it right now- lets just say its going to be very cool."

Larry stopped. "very cool? I want to know more. what can it do how will it help us? "

Mary stopped and glared at him. "Oh uh... its shoots lasers!"

"Is that it???"

"Oh of course not will do more! But uhh i only got the lasers to work."

Larry looked at her confused trying to think of what this weapon could be, it intrigue him. "lets just go see it than."

Later when the two of them finally got to her lab. Mary held the door open for him. "After you!!"

Larry thought this was weird but what was weirder what was inside. There wasn't any weapon but instead was an operating room with medical equipment and barrels of strange substances. A couple of the doctors were there to getting stuff from the cabinets.

"Mary there is no weapon in here- what is this...."

Mary closed the door behind her. "Well you see i may of lied to you a little, the prototype isn't done at all- and it isn't just a weapon its going to be a person!"

"What- Mary... you know how i feel about human experimentation..."

"Yeah, yeah- we don't need to do it killing and stealing is enough and even if we did they might attack us if i make them to strong- blah blah blah"

He glared at her. "Are you mocking me???"

"I don't know am i?."

Mary started laughing a little like she told a funny joke but Larry wasn't laughing.

"Mary i said no before what makes you think ill say yes now-"

"Oh yeah about that forgot to tell you but you are no longer the leader."

"wait... Wh.. WHAT!?"

"You see- since you were defeated by common folk it has come to my conclusion that you have grown weak.... The headmaster agreed to that- and so now I'm the leader."

Larry was speechless.

"And you see- the headmaster was going to kill you, he was going to do stuff indescribable to you.... however i convinced him that there was still use for you..."

"Use for me-" It started to click in his head what she wanted to do, he couldn't believe it. He started to look around for a weapon when he noticed one of the doctors about to stab him with a syringe, He grabbed him and tossed him at the barrels.

The other doctors went to help him as the substances burned him which caught Larry off guard which was enough time for Mary to tackle him to the ground. "This is for your own good Larry please don't fight."

"HAVE YOU GONE MAD?!? GET OFF ME!!"

Larry had tried getting up but he was still hurting, didn't help that Mary had one leg on his back right near his key which was the most sensitive area. Mary was handed a syringe from one of the doctors, Larry tried his best to avoid getting pierced by it but she managed to get it in him.

Pain and adrenaline hit his body as he managed to get Mary off of him and he bolted out the door, Mary just watched this and chuckled.

Larry ran down the hallway looking for an exit or at least something to defend himself. other mobsters were following him but not attacking they were waiting.

Eventually he felt something weird, his body started feeling heavy really heavy, he started slowing down before eventually he just collapsed onto the ground the only thing he was able to do was move his eyes. The mobsters were waiting for this moment as they proceeded to drag him back her lab were with the help of Mary put him on the operating table.

"Don't worry Larry i promise everything will be alright! We will fix you! Make you better than before! Heh you will even be able to kill that family that defeated you before! But first..."

Mary lifted up his shirt exposing his key more while one of the doctors handle her a scapple. The next thing that happened was the worst pain he had ever felt in his life, the key had been on him for decades now so what Mary was doing was basically amputating one of his limbs. What was worst to him though that she out of all people was doing this.

After the deed was done Mary put his key on a tray next to her as blood was running down his back before the doctors covered it with bandages before he was than dragged over to a chair and tied him down, he eventually was able to move his body again and when he did he screamed as his back was touching the chairs back, his whole body felt like his nerves had been ripped out.

"You... you bi-"

"Heh that's the best you can come up with? Calling me names won't stop this."

".....Mary..... why.... i thought we were... i thought you.."

Mary got in front of his face "And that's why I'm doing this... incase you had forgotten, The headmaster was going to kill you..."

"...... how much is this going to hurt...."

"I'm not going to lie Larry... this is probably going to hurt really bad. And it will probably be a long process and again a very painful one. Like ripping that key out of you will seem pleasant compared to it"

The angered expression turned into a worried one as Mary kissed him on the cheek. "Will start ether tonight or tomorrow for now ill let you rest..."

Mary left the room, along with the mobsters and doctors leaving him alone to his thoughts. He didn't want to admit it but he wasn't just scared but he was heartbroken. He knew Mary wasn't really the greatest person, he wasn't really that better than her but he loved her, loved her a lot and the fact she of all people was doing this to him felt like a nightmare.

And he knew the worst was yet to come.

Lawrence: Do I need to bring anything?

Amanda: aren’t all paper plates the same?

Mark: No, apparently some are stronger and some are thinner.

Jill: Adam, I normally don’t ask questions I don’t want to know the answer to, but what the fuck?

Amanda: MY EYES!!!!!

Mark: Could’ve gone my whole life without seeing that.

William: It looks broken?

Logan: How did you break it?

John: Have you been to the doctor?

Adam: SORRY!!!!! WRONG MESSAGE THREAD!!!!!

Adam: It was meant for Larry only. I wanted his professional opinion on if I should go to the doctor.

Lawrence: Adam, you have a compound fracture in your forearm. How are you not at the hospital yet?

Adam: Because I am stuck. 

Mark: Where? I’ll come get you.

Adam: Funny story. I stopped a robbery. Two big dudes were trying to rob a lady of her purse. I took pictures. They saw me and chased me. They left the lady alone.

Amanda: And they beat the shit out of you?

William: Did they do this to you?

Adam: No. They never got the chance because I ran fast. I made it to the rich people lake houses and went to jump over a canoe. 

Jill: Did the canoe somehow break your arm?

Adam: Technically yeah. My foot clipped it and I landed weird on my arm. I rolled down the bank a little and I’m now caught in a net of some sort. I panicked and now I’m just here.

John: Do you know where you are?

Adam: In a net. I feel like a fish. Or a butterfly.

Adam: Oh shit. I hear voices. 

Adam: It’s the homeowners!

Lawrence: Adam?

Mark: Adam?

John: Are you okay?

Amanda: What if they killed him?

Logan: I’m sure he’s fine. The homeowners are probably shocked.

William: Mark, you’re a detective. Detect where Adam is.

Adam: I still live. The homeowners helped me out of the net and gave me ice. They called an ambulance for me so now I’m waiting outside on the front porch. 

John: Are you okay?

Adam: My arm is throbbing.

Lawrence: Naturally with a compound fracture. Any other injuries?

Adam: None that I can feel right now. My body has pretty much gone numb except my arm. 

Lawrence: Try no to move your arm anymore. I’ll meet you at the hospital. 

John: Me too.

Jill: Lawrence, what do we need to do to make Adam a bit more comfortable when he gets home?

Lawrence: Make sure he has something to prop his arm on, we’re going to need ice, some cloths to put between the ice and his cast, over the counter pain medicine. 

Lawrence: Adam, did you break your dominant hand?

Adam: Whatever the left one is.

Lawrence: You’re right handed so you’re good.

Lawrence: If anyone has a small stress ball, kind of like the ones you use when you give blood, he’ll need one. 

Adam: What is all of this for?

Lawrence: You. You’ll need to prop and ice your arm to try to prevent any more swelling, the pain meds is to make sure you don’t get too dependent on the heavy stuff the hospital will more than likely prescribe, and the stress ball is to keep your hand moving.

Adam: Hey Chris and Pam’s daughter just came home. It’s the girl I helped.

Adam: Her name is Claire.

Adam: She hugged me.

Adam: We’re all hanging on the porch. I hear sirens.

John: I’ll meet you at the hospital.

Lawrence: I’m out front, John. You can ride with me. 

Adam: I feel bad. What about John’s birthday dinner?

John: We’ll postpone it. You’re more important.

Jill: I’ll order us some pizza. Extra cheese, Adam?

Adam: Yes please.

Amanda: I call dibs on signing your cast first.

top 5 B99 episodes?

OFFICIALLY MY FAVORITE ASK EVER. okay so spoilers for most of the show up ahead, BE WARNED! 

s1 e6, halloween – the original halloween heist episode is really important to me for a couple reasons actually. i think this is the episode where a certain bond between holt & jake is established. holt is willing to indulge jake in his crazy ideas, it just has me thinking: maybe holt really does care :) my favorite episodes are always the ones where jake gets the whole cast involved in his shenanigans, it really brings home the found family dynamic of the show. 

s4 e18, cop-con – this episode is also important to me for Holt Reasons. he wasn't mad that his team had disobeyed his orders to stay in line at the convention, he was mad that they hadn't thought to invite him. i think this is where we see the team involving their captain in their adventures more often. 

s5 e22, jake and amy – i think this episode was great for a lot of reasons, not just because of the Jake And Amy Finally Get Married bit. like, we watch literally everything go wrong on what was supposed to be their special day, but they still pull through. and i don't say this as a case of: wow they're so strong. no, they used their coworkers and boss to get there. im hearing you say: "wow zane why is this important??" im so glad you ask... jake has a known thing for hating to work on teams unless he can take charge, and amy has a similar deal where she always needs to be in charge as a way to make sure everything gets done correctly. but at this point in the show they had gained enough trust within the team to be like: yes, i trust you not to mess things up, even on our big day. it was something special to watch amy not crumble under the pressure of something she had planned so perfectly just go So Badly. it's something about the way she knew as long as she ended the day with jake, things would be fine. 

s3 e23, greg and larry – i always love the episodes with tons of plot twists, which is probably part of the reason i've always enjoyed this episode so much.  i love the idea of the team coming together to help out holt, who for the longest time had no one on the police force backing him up because of his identity as a black gay officer. this episode was also the start of the mess that was season 4, where jake & holt had to run off to florida to go undercover. i think the fact that holt and jake did the undercover mission together was really important to the story as a whole. by this point it's clear that holt sees jake as a son, and jake sees holt as a father figure; the anger that holt shows jake on this mission was really just thinly veiled care, and fear of seeing his son get hurt. 

s6 e18, the suicide squad – how do i even put into words how much i adore this episode. wow. members of the 99 are teaming up with their old allies to stop the corruption being caused by commissioner kelly. i think this entire episode just goes to show that they all care more about the good of the nypd rather than whatever beef they may have with whoever. decades of bitter rivalry is set aside so that they can stop the corruption from inside the police department. i think my favorite part of this episode was holt having to deal with the fact that if he messed this up it would be throwing away everything he had worked so hard as a police officer to achieve. he had fixed so many issues within the nypd at this point, and he had to decide between continuing a bitter rivalry versus saving everything he had worked to change. idk, one of my favorite parts of the show was always the way that holt very seriously cared about the core of the nypd remaining being about helping the citizens of new york, rather than turning into a game of politics.

Zorc- Had fun with him influencing Ramses so I ended up making him a full on muse. Charles- Who doesn't love this man? Of course I had to pick up Charles. Fredrick- Cheese hat. Need I say more? Jaques- I found him an interesting past Toppat leader. Larry- Thought he'd be interesting to play. Sheriff- Cause yes. Whitty- Whole reason why I got into FNF and I think he's a cool character. Tricky- Tricky mod is what got me into Madness and boi was I right when I though this crazy fucker would be fun to play. And ofc I just had to have his minions and that gremlin. Tiky I just found cute. The Sheriff- Hmmm... don't know other than I just like him. Gestalt- Boi did he scare me in the game and I like some characters like that. Plus a cool looking monstrous big boi. V2/V4- Big bois and I like em. The Maker- I love star and galaxy stuff and instantly liked this deity the moment I saw him so how can I not rp him? White Hank- Bestie got Hank and I ended up liking White Hank so I added her. She's a lot of fun. Franziska- Picked her up cause she was my first fav AA character. Until I started liking Sebby. Sebastian- Still like him VERY much and I picked him up since he's a very fun character. Delicia- A fun and underrated character. I like her nicknaming thing too. Twinkle- How can I not pick up a tiny star fellow? I had to not long after I rolled him up and played as him in the game. Axem Rangers X- SMBZ is a big part of my childhood and I always thought they look cool. HIM- PPG is another part of my childhood. Also love just how creepy and how much of a threat he is. And I tested rping as him in Among Us. DJ Music Man- Asked if I or bestie should have him. Bestie said I should so he ended up as muse of mine. What I have learned so far is that everything what is happening with Harry’s so-called private life in public is taken as an immediate syndicator that it’s fake and it’s only work because Harry has a private life and he would never do this to his real relationship. And what was the most memorable for me was his quote from interview from Dec 2019 where they asked him about dating only famous people and he literally said “I have a private life. You just don’t know about it.” So now I’m bit confused by what you wrote above that Harry doesn’t value his private life anymore? Okay, he called C*mille his ex but wasn’t that to push the narrative for songs on Fine Line (which they, at least for larries and their decoding talent, turned out to be mostly about Louis and Harry himself exploring his inner self)? O talked about him in every opportunity she had like he’s the only reason to live for her because she was relevant just because of him - but he’d never aknowledged her as his gf and made sure to let everyone know that any song on H’sH is about her. I don’t know what Emrata said exactly because I just saw his bodylanguage and that told me everything I needed to know how comfortable (irony) he felt to makeout with her in public. So I would love to think that his personal and private life priorities has never changed and actually became more important to secure it and hide from public eyes but I’m also afraid that he’ll decide to make a 180 degree turn and do absolute opposite to what was always important for him. I want to stay hopeful and optimistic but it’s damn hard when I have no idea what is happening with him right now and people are panicking while preparing for the worst scenario.

The only thing that makes me a bit calmer is that Louis called Eleanor his gf multiple times but still noone believed him and he literally tweeted that he’s straight and yet, still fans don’t even question his sexuality. Plus he had this kid as still going stunt which is much worse than some O tattoo or 2 years of stunting while looking miserable.

You misunderstand me, i don't think Harry doesn’t value his private life anymore. When i said 'privacy strategy' i was talking about the practice they've applied to every stunt that they get papped in 'private places' and blame it on a pesky pap for invading their privacy. Like being papped on a yacht or poolside at an hotel. That gives an illusion that they are trying to be private about their relationship and not flaunting it. It helps sell it as real. Harry never confirming anything was a part of that strategy. We've had a turn from that strategy now. Harry confirming c*mille as a gf (after the fact), pda for the paps during holivia, emrata and now hussell. They are stunting right in front of our salads now, no illusion of privacy left.

Also, i have a very different view on harry's need for privacy than a lot of other people. I don't think he'd be more private about it if it were real. If it were real it would be with a man, and harry is closeted so he'd have to be private about it or else he'd have to come out. Him being a 'private' person is also a part of his image to make him look mysterious, interesting and dignified.

When Harry says 'i have a private life. You just don't know about it' i want to add 'not because i am a private person in particular, but because i'm closeted'. If harry were able to snog louis in the middle of oxford street, he'd not hesitate for a second.

I don't think people should panic over yet another stunt, but i can't control them or their feelings. I can only try helping people cope a bit. I think being hopeful, but realistic is a good approach. It will end at a point, but we will also most likely get another stunt in the future. It's been like this for years so we all got to learn to cope if we want to stay in this fandom. If it gets too much, take a break. You come first!

hi, so uhm, yeah, here’s the VeggieTales episode tier list I said I would do

putting my thoughts under the read more if y’all wanna read that

So like I did with my Silly Song tier list, I’m going to go in order of bottom to top. I’ll try to be a little more organized about it this time.

Yellow-green is, as the image says, just episodes I haven’t seen in full or at all. I will say though, I want to see The League of Incredible Vegetables really badly. Also Celery Night Fever. I’ve heard that episodes pretty good.

NOW! Let’s go on to what I have seen.

YELLOW:

So these are the episodes that I went like “Oh these were okay... whatever” and then barely ever touched them again. Yes, the second movie’s on there, and I saw it once. It was alright, I liked bits of it, but it didn't stick with me enough. That’s also how I feel about Merry Larry a bit. I gladly took the Bob and Mr. Lunt dynamic in this episode, but I wouldn’t go back and see the entire thing again just for it.

With Moe and the Big Exit, it was just kinda iffy to me. Fine on first watch, but I don’t entirely feel like revisiting it again. Duke and the Great Pie War just didn’t grip me all that much, but the part where Otis gets shot from a slingshot was really funny.

Fennel Frontier and Big River Rescue I did watch more than once, but then not much. Mr. Spork(Bob’s character in Fennel Frontier) gulping down an entire half of a sandwich like it was nothing was kinda the highlight for me. I think out of the rest of the group, I revisit Gideon: Tuba Warrior a bit more, but not by all that much.

YELLOW ORANGE:

OKAY, the more or less general enjoyment category! Some of them I don’t revisit all that often, but I like them more and am more willing to go back and watch them again. So I only just watched It’s a Meaning Life, and this was only a day after watching the original It’s a Wonderful Life, so maybe I’m biased in the way that this episode was an immediate pallet cleanser from that. It was a pretty cute episode, plus it introduced sexyman Larry.

I haven’t revisited the End of Silliness? as a full, but everything about the ending scene just stuck with me since the first time I saw it. I liked Penniless Princess a bit more than I expected to, which was also the same deal with Pistachio; which I extra appreciate for having Bob go from not really understanding the Countertop redesign until he sees Qwerty and starts crying. I felt that.

Sheerluck Holmes was fun, especially the “Call On Us“ reprise. I love that part. Dave and the Giant Pickle I don’t revisit often, but again, a single musical number in it is what grips me the most in it: I really fucking love “Big Things, Too.“ The Little House That Stood honestly got this placement just because of Good Egg of Gooseville. (assuming that’s what the segment’s called) Whole episode is alright, but Bob is Humpty Dumpty, who’s literally cracking from work stress. Plus, he and Junior(as Baby Bear) hug near the end of the segment and it’s really sweet. Also, it reminded me of the Hello Kitty Furry Tale Theater episode of Mother Goose, so that’s really cool.

I like Josh and the Big Wall. It’s really cool, but I don’t watch it often. It’s a very once-in-a-while episode that I’d need to have some overwhelming reason to watch. I’m not super attached to Lyle the Kindly Viking, but I like it. It’s cute to watch Archibald try real hard to make a fancy and sophisticated episode. They do both a Hamlet spoof about the last eggs in the kingdom and a story about vikings in the style of Gilbert and Sullivan. It’s just a fun episode.

Speaking of fun, here’s a fun fact: Jonah: A VeggieTales Movie was the first home media thing I owned of VT. I saw it in bits before on youtube, but yeah. Jonah’s cool. I like that the ending of the movie itself is just the gang going “The main character didn’t learn anything! What kinda story is that?“ and then Mr. Lunt has to go and tell them “The point is that you learned from the fact that he didn’t learn, dumbass. Learn media literacy“ and then they have one last big musical number for the fuck of it. Oh yeah, and there’s also a celebrity guest song for the credits which oddly enough gives me a lot of nostalgia for the credits of the first Spongebob movie. Actually this whole movie always kinda reminds me of Spongebob Squarepants Movie for really no reason other than there’s nonhumans going somewhere at the behest of a higher figure and there’s the ocean at some point. They’re both the first movies of their respective series. Oh yeah, and the characters being snagged away and almost getting killed once they get to said destination. Cool stuff.

LarryBoy and the Bad Apple has the Bad Apple. Oh yeah, Bob also stomps on the ground in a fit of annoyance and then stands there in shame for the next minute while Larry and Archibald talk about the lesson, which has to be up there in the top most huntercore things he’s ever done. I enjoy watching Esther: The Girl Who Became Queen from time to time. It’s definitely different from the usual VT style, aside from this episode being the first time that a unique character was created to be main character for the episode (out of Penniless Princess, Saint Nick, and Beauty and the Beet, as some examples). I think it’s a nice change of tone, especially since The Rumor Weed was kind of the same way.

The Toy that Saved Christmas is also another once in a while watch. Mr. Nezzer is up to some business schemes again by basically selling weaponry to children. A toy with a buzz-saw. I’m assuming it’s meant to be commentary on the thing of “violent toys” being sold to children, but in a vacuum, it’s funny that Mr. Nezzer’s just selling buzz-saws in dolls just to make the toy look cool and no one calls him out on this aspect at all. “I can excuse a safety hazard, but I draw the line at promoting rampant consumerism”. This episode is also just fun, especially seeing it tailored with the VT Christmas Spectacular bit. Mr. Nezzer also tries to kill Bob, Junior, and Larry indirectly again for being meddling kids.

Finally, here’s Where’s God When I’m Scared, first episode of the show. It’s good. I’m partial to “Tales of the Crisper,“ but I also enjoy the Daniel retelling. Favorite thing in it though has to be the “God is Bigger than the Bogeyman“ number, if mainly for the first half of the first half of the song. Yes, mainly because of Bob. Small factoid, because my first proper exposure to this series was through “x being that and so for y minutes” compilations on youtube, the “what are you gonna do?“ clip has been burned into my subconscious, so I’m a bit more attached to the number because of that.

ORANGE:

King George and the Ducky is good. Being the episode after the Rumor Weed and Esther, it’s back to the good ol’ countertop in this one. So Larry’s the king, The World is His, and he really wants a kid’s rubber duck. To get it from him, he sends him to the Pie War, hoping it maybe gets rid of him so that he can have the duck to himself. Oh yeah, Jimmy and Jerry are hosts... for like eight minutes before Bob tells them off for being bad at it. This and Madame Blueberry are episodes I’ll just put on casually to have in the background.

Madame Blueberry is also pretty good for being in my radius of “episodes I’m a little more partial to". I did go and seek out Madame Bovary at my college’s library because of it, just to see how much (aside from time setting) they changed from the book. The answer is a lot. So yeah, it’s a good episode to just lounge through. Now for A Snoodle’s Tale. So this the first episode animated by a different animation group. Having thought on it for a bit now, I think DKP’s model style for VeggieTales is just really cute, especially B-- Also, I just love the Snoodle creatures.

The Ballad of Little Joe has the jailhouse reprise of “Oh Little Joe“ and “Belly Button“, so that automatically puts it high on the tier list. And the countertop banter. Always love the countertop banter. Larry’s “a WESTERN, BAHB“ and Bob’s “yahoo“ have to be up there on a list of favorite things the VT characters have ever uttered. LARRYBOY AND THE RUMOR WEED is really great and cool. “I’m the Rumor Weed“ is one of my favorite songs from the series. I don’t watch it often, but when I do, I remember that they literally let Larry get the shit beaten out of him. OH I ALMOST FORGOT TO MENTION THIS. Larry being so legitimately relieved to see that he didn’t die from plummeting into the ground, and fucking Alfred just goes “Yes, isn’t it lovely? :3“ Also on the top tier for one of my favorite interactions in this show.

Finally, it’s Are You My Neighbor? time. So I’m kinda in a similar place with this one like I am with Where’s God When I’m Scared, as in I’m way more partial to the original story content than I am in the bible retelling bit. I do like the parable bit, but I just like the story of Junior getting whisked away by two spacemen (Bob and Larry) so he can help them save an entire ship of people from a meteor made of popcorn a lot more. So this is Jimmy and Jerry’s introduction episode, and in the end, they end up saving the day because Junior figures their hungry asses could probably eat the incoming meteor. They did. They dance and have a musical number, and that’s how Junior learns that you shouldn’t be dismissive of someone just because they’re different than you. The set-up of the episode was that Junior didn’t feel like inviting a kid to his birthday party. Just thought I should mention that.

RED:

LET’S GO, RED ZONE!

So starting off the “episodes that drive Hunter nuts” category, here’s God Wants Me to Forgive Them!?! I know people rag on this episode for... everything about the visuals, but being entirely honest; the weird animation is kinda why I like this episode so much. Aside from that, this episode is just so different from the entire catalogue in a way I can’t really put my finger on. This episode doesn’t even have a Silly Song in it. Not even as a creative choice like how the LarryBoy episodes don’t have them(aside from League of Incredible Vegetables), but because the creators didn’t think anyone actually expected more after the first one. So the feeling could be chalked up to “duh, this is the second episode after all, so they were kinda experimenting with this one.“

There are so many face close-ups in this one, and I mean A LOT. Pa gets up in the audience’s face twice while addressing an entirely different person... for dramatic effect I guess. Bob gets up in the audience’s to ask a fucking math question. Junior’s dad has one. Junior has three close-up shots; again, dramatic effect I think. Scallion 1 has one during his attempt to scam people. In the Gilligan’s Island spoof, Bob and Larry get one as they scream in terror because their boat is about to crash into a fucking rock. Bob then has another on for dramatic effect. Oh yeah, I forgot to mention that the first story is based on The Grapes of Wrath, by which I mean only based on the title, because I’m pretty sure the book isn’t about two old people and their two kids bullying a random five year old for no reason other than they don’t know its a bad thing to do that until said five year old’s dad intervenes and tells them to stop.

Then there’s the Gilligan’s Island spoof where Larry accidentally crashes the boat that he and Bob were just navigating out to who knows where with Archibald, Lovey(Archibald’s wife), and Junior’s dad. He daydreams about saving whales, but then the boat crashes into the rock, and everyone’s mad at Larry for it. Bob tells him off in the moment while they’re in their hammocks. Larry takes this as Bob and the others not liking him anymore and that they’d be better off without him, so he flees during the night. The day after, everyone else realizes that they shouldn’t have reacted that way to Larry and then seek him out to apologize to him. They do that and then they reconcile. A palm tree comes out and sings about forgiveness. Junior’s dad comes out with an entire helicopter made of bamboo, and the gang all make it back home. Long story short, I think God Wants Me to Forgive Them is pretty cool.

I’ll try to be a little more concise with this next one, but I’m not making any promises when I get to The Star of Christmas. I really like Larryboy and the Fib from Outer Space. The first LarryBoy episode and it’s about Junior lying about breaking his dad’s plate because a little alien freak creature encouraged him to. Larry almost gets eaten in this one, by the alien freak creature, who grew really big because of Junior’s fibbing. The scene where Alfred is trying to solve who can stop is also another scene that’s been etched into my mind.

*cracks my knuckles*

Okay, it’s British time. So starting off with An Easter Carol; It’s an alright episode, plot-wise. It’s a Christmas Carol, but about Easter, and the main conflict centers around our Ebenezer Scrooge, played by Mr. Nezzer, who wants to build an Easter theme park over the local church because he wants to appease his grandma’s wish about the true meaning of Easter. It also has a heist B-plot where the two motherfuckers from the prior installment of this British AU try to steal the plans for the theme park so that Ebenezer doesn’t tear down the church. There’s a super long monologue song about his plans, a super short one about his grandma(as a vision) chewing him out for completely misunderstanding what she meant, then another normal-sized one where an angel sings about Jesus and his resurrection. There’s also a big explosion climax near the end. It rains plastic eggs from said explosion.

I think this sits in the same camp as GWMTFT where I don’t really mind the story much as I’m just paying attention to literally everything else. Oh yeah, this was the last episode done in-house by Big Idea’s animation department. I know what you might be asking: if I’m not that into the story, why is it ranked so high? BECAUSE ITS LIKE GWMTFT IN THE WAY THAT EVERYTHING ELSE IS CHAOS. Animation-wise and visually, this episode looks really good, but I love the expression work in this episode. I love that the heist subplot is even a thing because it’s probably the most seemingly unnecessary thing to have added to this Easter version of A Christmas Carol, except its not (to me). There’s no reason there needed to be a factory explosion, except to add salt on the wound to the consequences of Ebenezer’s actions, I suppose. But I’m so glad the factory explosion exists anyway. Also I just really love the semi-song the grandma does to chew out Ebenezer. I really enjoy high energy music. Also Cavis(Bob) says “y...your eggs“ as it’s raining eggs and it’s inexplicably the funniest thing in the movie to me. Love this episode.

But there’s one I love more.

THAT’S RIGHT FUCKERS, STAR OF CHRISTMAS TIME!!!!!!!! So I don’t know how obvious it is that Cavis Appythart is my favorite character Bob has done ever. He literally steals from an artifact from the local church and tries to lie to the face of his show partner that its not stealing. Then he’s accidentally complicit in burning down the theatre that Ebenezer Nezzer let him and Millward(Larry) use to put on the Mario play. Oh yeah, this is meant to be a Gilbert and Sullivan spoof too. So Cavis really really wants to make a play that will “teach London to love” because the city is a mess. Millward just goes along with it because yeah. Pa’s character, Seymour, is contracted to just stick light-bulbs all over the place. He also has a sick rocket car. I should mention that the general British AU story is set in the late 19th century. Cavis tries to get the Prince of England to come to the show but he doesn’t want to after learning that the church is presenting an artifact he’s really interested in, which was kind Cavis’s fault for revealing to Archibald’s character, a journalist. So then after getting refused, he gets the bright idea to go steal the artifact to put it in his show. This leads to wacky hijinks, arson, and then Cavis and Millward are arrested.

They meet an old guy in jail who chews Cavis out for trying to spectacle London into not being so mean anymore. Through this, he ends up realizing that love is about what you do for others and so on. The the two are then let out by the Reverend and his son, but they sacrificed the Christmas pageant in order to do it because... they walked the whole way over. All is not lost though, because Seymour shows up in his sick car and then lends it to Millward so they get rocketed all the way to the church. They do the pageant and everything’s la-di-da from there, except for Ebenezer finding out about the church and making Millward and Cavis work in the egg factory to pay off the debt (SET UP!!!). Anyhways, they thought the stole the star artifact at first, but it turns out they stole an entirely different thing, so now everything’s la-di-da. But then Cavis remembers the guy in jail who set him straight, and decides to go give him some cookies and a hot liquid I couldn’t identify. The episode then ends. So yeah, there’s a reason why I call this the sister episode to King George and the Ducky. Guys who acted selfishly in some way or another get told off by an old man for what they did, and then commit an act of giving to make up to it to the person they wronged. It’s Bob and Larry’s trans wrongs episodes, if I may put it that way. The trans part has nothing to do with anything, I just like putting it that way.

So my Bob bias plays big part in why I’m so attached to this episode. I think he should get to be a piece of shit at the risk of falling hard on his face due to his own folly more often, which I guess happens in the VTShow more often but whatever. Also, I love the background music of this episode and I wish that there was a way I could just have it on its own. The only place it really plays is in the credits and the menu screens. The background music in VT in general is so good sometimes. Uhm. Yeah. Cavis Appythart babygirl moments. I like this episode.

First I want to thank @fluziska for being my rubber duck and putting up with me, I couldn't have shaped the antics of these three without their help.

Lar.ry returns from touring overseas. Mil.es has too much pride and Pho.eni.x accidentally enables him. Gu.msh.oe is a real pal. This story of sorts went through so many rewrites I cannot stress this enough.

     Larry had a habit of not telling his boyfriends when he’d be back in the country. He liked to surprise them as much as possible, even if it meant walking in on the two being intimate. He’s seen worse, he reasoned. Besides, what better time to surprise the couple than after a year in Europe? It’s not like Miles hadn’t done the exact same thing. Sure, that was prompted by a call Larry made, but other than that, it was the same.

Without thinking about how he would announce his return, Larry enthusiastically unlocked the front door and was greeted not by a human, but a large, very fluffy, white dog.

“Pess!” He cheered, happily accepting the dog’s wet kisses on his cheeks. What a lovebug she was! 

“It’s a good thing you’re not a burglar, Larry.” Phoenix observed as he stepped into the living room to spot him. “I wish you would’ve told us you were coming back so soon. We haven’t had time to straighten up the house.”

“A little surprise never hurt anyone, has it? Besides, I’m perfectly capable of cleaning up if you need me to.” Larry stood up straight with a final good pet on the top of Pess’s head. “So,” he cleared his throat, “what have you guys been up to while I was gone? It’s actually been pretty lonely at Franzy and her wife’s place. Our schedules kept missing each other, we hardly had time to talk about another book deal. She agreed on it, by the way.” 

“That’s great, Larry!” Phoenix smiled in pride before kissing Larry on the cheek. “Maya managed to get in another incident a few months ago, but as usual, I defended her and she’s off the hook. Here’s hoping she stays that way.”

“Heh, that’s Maya for- for yhh–!!” Larry was caught off guard by a powerful tickle in the back of his nose; Phoenix also seemed a bit unprepared for what was coming. “Hh’ggtish! Hn’KKSHiu!” Larry made a small gasp and turned away, keeping his head down. “Hhg’tisHHu!! Kk’tshiiu! K’kCHIUU!!”

“Wow, bless you. You’re not getting sick, are you?” 

Larry didn’t even have to look at Phoenix to know he was turning red from watching the display.

“No, no.” Larry insisted. “I feel completely fine.” He sniffled. “I promise!”

“For heaven’s sake…” Another voice joined the conversation: Miles. “You didn’t use any of the hand sanitizer I packed in your bag. You’ve been signing books in libraries filled with preschoolers, and who knows what everyone’s touched before boarding your flights…”

“Edgey, calm down!” Larry set down his bag and opened it to dig up an empty hand sanitizer bottle. “See? I used the whole thing! Used up the last little bit as soon as I was dropped off in front of the house.”

“Hmm…” Miles tapped his elbow with his index finger, sighing through his nose as he evaluated the situation. “Nothing wrong with some extra precaution.” He held his hand out to Larry. “Come on, love. Let’s get some Vitamin C in you.” 

“Like orange juice or is this an innuendo?” Larry smirked.

“Orange juice.” Miles corrected quickly. He was unaffected when Larry groaned in disappointment and simply led him to the dining room table so he could serve him a tall glass of juice.

Larry downed the juice quickly. If any cold was even thinking of settling in his system, he had surely just given it a run for its money. After all, last time he checked, Miles always bought the fancy vitamin-enriched orange juice, just like the kind Larry had seen in Franziska’s fridge.

“Done!” He beamed. “I feel better already! Picture of health!”

“Are you sure you’re alright? Cold or no cold, wouldn’t you rather get some rest after such an exhausting tour?” Miles asked. “We could draw you a hot bath, give you a massage…” 

“I mean, if you want to skip to what I got you guys as souvenirs, that’s okay too!” 

“You brought souvenirs? You know you didn’t have to do that.” Phoenix said that as if he wasn’t immediately curious about what Larry had gotten the married couple. 

“Of course I brought souvenirs! You don’t just visit three countries in Europe without buying something to bring back home. I mean, who would do that?” Larry shot a teasing glance at Miles. “I wasn’t sure how long the trip back home was gonna be, and Franzy’s place was packed to the brim with kombucha and stuff from her last health kick, so no snacks this time. Sorry about that.”

Miles couldn’t help but sigh, making a mental note to ask Franziska just what purpose a fridge stuffed with kombucha would serve, besides to give him a headache when she inevitably urges him to try it too.

“Okay, guys, I think you’re going to love these!” Larry made his way back into the living room for his bags, and Pess seemed curious enough to follow him there. “Don’t worry, girl,” he chuckled as he pressed a fist under his nose, “I got something for you, too.” He dug out three boxes from one of his suitcases, all cutlery from the countries he visited. “Ta da!”

Phoenix and Miles admired the images on the boxes; Phoenix couldn’t understand a word any of them said, but he knew enough about Larry’s taste in cookware to get the idea that these had to be high quality. 

“You bought three sets?” Miles’s eyes widened as he mentally calculated what must have been the cost. “I hope you were able to keep yourself fed.”

“I promise that was not a problem!” Larry assured him, sniffling. “Remember?” He sniffled again. “I was stayi’g with Fradzy!”

Phoenix’s expression fell from a fascinated one to one of concern.

“Are you, uh, doing okay?” 

“Yeah! Just gotta grab a tissue.” Larry yanked one of the soft tissues from a cravat themed tissue box Phoenix had bought as a joke. He took his sweet time blowing his nose, leaving Phoenix and Miles wondering if he really needed to take that long or he just liked the brand. He finally successfully tossed the tissue into the nearest trash bin and continued on with the souvenir gifting.

“Larry, you sound awful–” Miles tried to add, but Larry had already shifted his focus elsewhere.

 “Now, it’s Pess’s turn!” He grabbed a different bag and pulled out a large collection of premium dog treats; as he did so, he could hear Edgeworth muttering something about ‘spoiling her rotten,’ which Pess absolutely deserved to be! “I got to meet Shoe’s nutritionist and she set me up with all these!”

“Shoe?” Phoenix blinked. “The cat?”

“The cat has a nutritionist…” Miles processed the words slowly as they left his lips.

“Yeah, I mean, why not? Cats gotta eat well, too.” Larry shrugged with a grin before turning to the gift’s recipient. “So, what do you think, girl?” 

Pess responded by nuzzling against Larry’s cheek and then promptly shoving her nose onto the treat bag in hopes of digging right into its contents. 

“Looks like she likes it.” Miles observed, chuckling. “Unfortunately, it’s much too late for her to be eating more treats.”

Larry and Pess both looked at Miles’s face with nearly matching pouts. 

“You want me to starve her?” Larry accused. “So mean, Edgey. I can’t believe– Hh! Kk'sshhnn!! Kk’tshu!” Larry prematurely ended his complaints with a small groan, scrubbing his nose with his hands. “Gghhh… it itches…” He mumbled to himself.

“Larry… Maybe you should get some sleep.” Phoenix suggested very delicately. 

“You sure?” Larry sniffled. “I guess it is pretty late…” He conceded before yawning.

“We’ll see you in the morning.” Miles kissed the top of Larry’s head to send him on his way to the guest bedroom.

Phoenix and Miles watched quietly as Larry headed to get some sleep, and once the door had closed, the two looked at each other. 

“You don’t think…” Phoenix started.

“Absolutely not!” Miles scoffed. He knew where Phoenix was going and he was not going to have any of it.

Miles and Phoenix weren’t aware of it, but Miles’s response managed to carry across the hallway, enough for Larry to hear bits and pieces of the conversation. 

Eventually, the sounds of disagreements and Miles’s flair for the dramatic coming out in full force grabbed Larry’s attention enough for him to want to listen in. He peeked his head out the guest bedroom door. While it was easier to hear the conversation continuing in the living room, he couldn’t grasp the entire context of what his boyfriends were discussing.

“I have her papers kept in my office if you’re doubting me!” Miles huffed. 

“I never doubted that for a second, just you’re forgetting one thing…” Phoenix’s voice got infuriatingly softer, saying something that made Miles gasp in offense. 

“She is a lady, Phoenix!” 

“I never doubted that either!”

Ladies? Papers? Were they so sick of Larry they were setting him up with a woman? At least Nicky might be vouching for him. 

“If she is causing issues, it has to be something else.” Miles said adamantly.

“Like what?”

“Well, there are…” Miles’s list was hard to hear from afar, but Larry noticed it was rather long.

Phoenix lowered his head and sighed. Was this when he would finally talk some sense into Miles? When he’d say ‘Larry’s a great guy and we should keep him forever!’

“We could send him over to Gumshoe, maybe? See how he is there?” 

What!?

So Larry was wrong. Nick was voting for sending him away to Gumshoe, now. Gumshoe seemed happily married to Maggey, though… Was this Nick’s way of saying ‘go wreck someone else’s marriage?’

“And then you’ll see he’ll be just fine, I’m sure of it!” Miles assured with a grin. 

Larry didn’t think he was going to be just fine at all. Being sent away, after all he’s done. He wondered if tomorrow, this will all have blown over and his boyfriends will have forgotten this awful plan of theirs. That’s it, he was going to go to bed and in the morning, no one would mention sending him away to Gumshoe or anything! 

Perfect.

“Good morning, love!” Miles greeted Larry from the kitchen, carrying a large plate of pancakes. “Did you sleep well?”

“Yeah, actually.” 

It looked like Miles and Phoenix had a good night’s sleep as well, given neither of them looked like they were intending on sending Larry to go bother Gumshoe like he had feared. 

“Are you feeling any better?” Phoenix asked, genuinely concerned and lacking that purr he had when asking such things out of pure lust. 

“Yup!” Larry confirmed with a nod. “I guess I was just beat from all the travel yesterday.” He looked around. “Where’s Pess?”

“Out basking in the sun as usual.” Miles answered. “Best to not disturb her nap,” he advised. “Speaking of Pess, I wanted to get your opinion on something, Larry.”

“Well, my opinion is she’s a very good girl!” Larry beamed.

“No, no.” Miles looked at Phoenix for a quick second before returning his attention to Larry. “Her groomer recommended a spectacular new shampoo, and I’d like to know what you thought about it. You did see a lot of pet experts while you were abroad, did you not?”

“Oh, yeah! Cat experts, mostly, but I probably picked up some knowledge on grooming products for dogs, too, without knowing…” 

“Perfect!” 

Miles ran off to the special bathroom almost entirely dedicated to Pess; anyone else might have said that such a room would be excessive, but Miles would insist those people were completely wrong. 

“What’s got him so happy?” Larry tilted his head.

“He’s just being… Miles again.” Phoenix sighed. “Just humor him.”

“I’ve never had any objections to that.” Larry shrugged. “Except maybe when he wanted me to bring that heavy Steel Samurai suit home and into the bedroom…” 

Phoenix blinked in surprise. Miles never told him about that particular encounter; he couldn’t believe they had been married for years and Miles was still such a mystery sometimes. 

“I found it!” Miles presented the pink shampoo bottle that looked better taken care of than most bottles he owned meant for human use. “What do you think, love?” 

“Well, uh,” Larry sniffed the bottle, “there are definitely notes of… peanut butter?” He raised a brow. “You know, I was kind of expecting something a little fancier.”

Miles frowned; Larry took that to mean he might have been offended at the implication Pess wasn’t fancy.

“Dogs just like peanut butter.” Phoenix explained, hoping to draw attention away from the confusion and disappointment he could feel radiating from his husband. “I grew up with cats, so that fact was new to me, too, when Miles and I started living together.” He was only half lying, since he had seen plenty of dogs enjoy the creamy treat before even befriending Miles, but it made for a much less tense conversation while Miles collected himself.

“Well then,” Miles cleared his throat, “we were wondering if you could drop this off at the Gumshoe residence this morning while we ran some errands. The detective has been dying to try this on Missile.”

There it was, Larry being sent off to Gumshoe’s, but— for an errand? That wasn’t half as bad as he thought! 

"I can absolutely do that!" Larry accepted the request with glee, puzzling his boyfriends with this reaction. "You have no idea how glad I am to hear you just wanted to share Pess's beauty routine." 

Phoenix and Miles looked at each other, both shrugging. As long as Larry was willing, everything would go smoothly… or, well, about as smoothly as their plan could possibly go.

As soon as Larry was out the door, much sooner than his boyfriends predicted, the two lawyers began to discuss their intentions for this errand.

"Do you really think this was the best way we could've done this?" Phoenix asked.

"I'm not going to just let Pess's qualifications as a hypoallergenic dog be questioned. Larry will be fine with a common dog like Missile who lacks access to all the high end grooming products Pess does, and then we can narrow things down from there." Miles proudly insisted that was the only way this could possibly turn out. "Pess is a very special and clean young lady, you know!" 

"Yeah, I know, babe, you told me that when you first got the idea last night. But what are you going to do if he isn't fine with Missile?"

"... That won't happen. I can assure you!"

… 

It happened. It was evident the moment Miles opened the door to greet Detective Gumshoe, who was resting his hand on the shoulder of a very pink-faced (and wet) Larry. 

"I don't think your boyfriend's feeling too good, pal." The detective observed softly. 

“I’b fide.” Larry didn’t sound all too convincing there. “It’s dot a big deal.” He sniffled. “I just– H’kksshh!! H'hggshhi! Hhg’tisHHu!!”

“Bless you! You look awful.” Phoenix pulled Larry into a hug. “It’s our fault, putting you through this.”

“No, it’s mine.” Miles spoke up. “I was caught up in my pride, and because of that–”

“What are you talki’g about? I bade the choice to play with Bissile.” Larry shrugged, completely unaware of the bomb he had just dropped. 

“You… You–!!” Miles stammered.

“I forgot to tell you guys, huh. Fradzy got pretty bad at be for that, too, actually… I guess I did’t wadt you guys to be weird about it, which you, uh, sorta did.” 

“Miles was the most weird about it.” Phoenix added with a smirk. 

“Well, isn’t this nice!” Gumshoe commented, seeming relieved to see the three come to as close to an understanding as they could get. “Are you gonna be okay now, pal?” He asked Larry.

“Yeah! I got the best boyfriehds id the world!”

Brenda x Larry: OK this one sounds bad since they're both hated characters, but just listen. Now if Brenda and her boys weren't cannibals and we did just ended up living peacefully on a farm then they could've been a sweet couple. Like I hate Larry but I did think it was nice that he kinda found love with a woman who seemed to need it. I still hate them but they were cute together in that like one second that they could've been a thing.

Walter x Matthew: Ok this might sound confusing at first because well yeah they're a canon couple, but they literally have NO screen time together. I kinda hate the whole arc with Walter and Nick. Because well you convince Walter that Nick's a good guy then he literally lives for an episode longer and it ends up not mattering because Walter dies either way. So what was the point of killing Matthew off like that at all? Like I wish we got to see them interact as the first queer couple in twdg (at least if I'm remembering correctly).

Mitch x Louis: At first I thought it was a very funny and a bit sweet of a crack ship, but then it just grew on me, and now it's kinda my favorite Mitch ship... I know it doesn't make much sense but they are my everything so it's fine!?

Ruby x Clem: I love these ladies sooooo much!! Their both my favorite woman from the last game. I think their dynamic could be cute! A firey redhead who's also the mom of the group and a total badass who is basically a mom in a way. I also think it's cute that Clem is the taller one here because, in most of Clem's ships, she's the short one.

Violet x Brody: I think it's cute. That's literally it. I THINK THEY WOULD BE ADORABLE!!!!

Pokemon Scarlet Playthrough part 17: Gym Leaders 2: Electric Boogaloo, School Battle Brawl, The Dex gauntlet, and a single baby mouse

Playthrough Masterlist

In this I'll be going I'll be doing post game stuff as well as trying to complete the dex as best I can. I'll be separating topics by category. I've been given the job by Geeta to do gym inspection. And after that there will be the school tournament. I also chat about my attempts to fill the dex. I also still need to get a sweet herba mystica for the cooking teacher. So let's see if I can do that.

Gym Inspection

I've already finished all the inspections but I'll lay down my thoughts here. Overall I had a fun time, but it did get to feeling a little tedious as I went on. The gym leader levels were pretty solid but all the same all members of my team are in the 70s so it wasn't too much trouble, I was usually able to defeat them with one or two Pokemon.

Katy gave me a surprising amount of trouble but that was probably because I battled her first, thus my Pokemon weren't as high leveled as the others. She said something interesting that fits into a popular theory people have about gym leaders. That because she was usually the first gym students from the academy went to because of her close proximity to the academy, she was asked to go soft on them. She said though, that she was planning on trying to be more difficult in the future.

I beat Brassius easily, I swept him with Chien-Po.

Iono gave me some difficulty with my Clodsire. First she was using a flying so I switched. Then her frog used Reflect, lowering the damage from physical moves. The only ground move I have is Earthquake at Clodsire. That frog was also better at absorbing the hits than I thought, it took 2 Earthquakes. Then her Luxray took an Earthquake like it was nothing and used Psychic Fang. Clodsire is slower so it didn't get to attack again. Then I used my Meowscada who ended up doing way better, just using Flower Trick over and over again. I'm not sure if crits get by Reflect or not. But the rest of the fight ended up being easy.

Larry ended up being pretty easy. I used Chien-Po for most of it. It has Ice Spinner for his Braviary. And Sacred Sword for the rest of them. It fainted at the final Pokemon but my Flamigo cleaned up the the last one. When Larry heard Geeta sent me, he was like "Yup, sounds like her." He talks about how simple and straightforward normal types are and that's why he likes them. But that using Flying types is helping him broaden his horizons.

Next Kofu, I mostly used Meowscada here, using Flower Trick a whole bunch. His last Pokemon took my grass cat out so I used the power of Salt Cure on the last one. It got taken out by a combo of recoil, rocky helmet, and the cured effect.

Grusha was also pretty easy, I used Chien-Po for most of it, using Sacred Sword. I used my rock salt Pokemon on the last Pokemon again because Chien-Po fainted. I remember Grusha saying something about how since he doesn't have snowboarding anymore he can't bare to lose the last thing he cares about, battles. So he cares a lot about the inspection.

Ryme I had a bit of trouble with. I used Farigiraf and Chien-Po. Farigiraf has that ghost immunity and a dark move but the ghosts just kept hitting her with dark moves so she wasn't much help. After she fainted I used Meowscada. I just kept hitting the ghosts with dark moves. Ryme was angry that Geeta didn't come herself, that's fair.

Tulip went fine, it was my last stop. I did a lot of switching out during this battle for different type advantages. I was worried about her last Pokemon because it gave me a lot of trouble in the gym match, but I beat it fine this time.

School Battle Brawl

Finally got around to doing the School Battle Brawl. It wasn't anything that exciting in the end. The beginning was more hype though. Arven and Jacq had some difficulty to them because of their mixed teams. The Battle Studies Teacher had a fighting type team so I beat her up with my Psychic Giraffe. And The Champion may have a mixed team but her team isn't really all that impressive.

I'll try to do some more in the future. Right now Jacq wants me to do a bunch of difficult Tera Raids. Not sure if I can handle that. It depends on if a 4 star raid is considered difficult or not, probably not. I've only ever completed one 5 star raid.

I've done it for a 2nd time now. It was a similar lineup but I got to face Penny this time. I'm surprised to see Geeta here again at the end, I thought that was a one time thing, because she's supposed to be really busy and all that. I was hoping to fight Nemona again. On another note, I've realized this is a good way to get exp for my more powerful Pokemon. I even got rare candies at the end, if that's what you normally get for winning I can get level 100s for those raids.

Doing it a couple more times... rare candies are not what you always get, very disappointing. And I'm not getting as much exp anymore from these fights. Looking the prizes up, getting 3 rare candies like that is only 3% and getting a single rare candy is 7%. And 1% of the time you can get 10 rare candy. So You can get rare candy 11% of the time, about 1/10 times you do the tournament.

Anyway I'm happy that Geeta isn't the last opponent every time, the 3rd time I've done it I got Hassel instead. He was still very easy to sweep with my ice type. I've also gotten to face Raifort, Saguaro, Salvatore, Tyme, and Clavell. All of them had mixed teams save for Tyme having all Rock type, which makes sense because she used to be a rock type gym leader. I was surprised that Salvatore didn't have more electric types but at least his ace was a Raichu. I still haven't fought Nemona or Miriam yet, so I'm going to keep going till I do.

Finally got to battle Miriam, the only thing worth mentioning though is that her last Pokemon took me some time to take out because it kept getting healed.

I've finally found out what BottleCaps are for. Lol, now all my main Pokemon have been hyper trained. I've finally found a use for all the money I have that I didn't know what to do with. I still haven't fought Nemona yet. I could get my grass cat to level 100 if I wanted to, I have 3 rare candies still and it's at level 97. But I didn't to just keep going till I see Nemona and then I'll use any awarded candies. I might get grass cat to level 100 just from all these battles.

I'm fighting Nemona now! I was using Clodsire against her Pawmot. It's Ice Punch kept freezing me so it may have been a one shot KO with Earthquake but it took some time to actually get to attack. Then I had some trouble using Earthquake on her Orthworm because it's ability makes it immune to ground damage, but I wasn't paying attention and wasted two turns. I have now beaten Nemona again, woo hoo!

A slight update to that Tera Crystal thing, fought a whole bunch and now I think I've unlocked 6 star raids. Apprently they are black crystals that started showing up. Jacq is like "those are two dangerous even for you" but the game is like go do them hint hint. Haven't tried one yet but considering how hard 5 star raids are I really don't think I can win. I think I would need other people and not just computers to take those on.

I haven't found one yet, maybe some other time. But I did get my first herba mystica. It's a Spicy one though. I've been focusing on going to tera raids where the level 100 Pokemon I have have an advantage. As time goes on and I get exp candy, I can make more Pokemon level 100. Currently I have Meowscada, Flamigo, Farigiraf, and Chein-Po.

The Dex

I started trying to get the paradox Pokemon. I already had 2, Fluttermane and Screamtail, 3 I suppose actually because I also have Koraidon. I've also heard there is the 2nd Koraidon, and you can find and catch it, I think I have good idea of where it is. I also know I can't get the future ones until I hang out with someone who has Violet, but I'm sure I can find someone when my college classes get back on in about 10 days (as of the time I'm writing this).

First I went to the static spawn of the Great Tusk you can find where the titan once was. I didn't originally know about it until watching a Youtuber's playthrough. I found the Brute Bonnet easily, they are pretty much everywhere. Silther Wing was slightly harder but once I went to the surface there were plenty. I love Slither Wing. I have yet to find Sandy Shocks, apparently it has a low spawn rate.

So I've been working on evolving a whole bunch of my Pokemon. Currently at 310 Registered. I've made note of particularly tricky evolutions. I'll be working on them later, right now I'm just trying to evolve guys who evolve just through level up.

One funny thing I must mention. I wasn't going to bother getting Dusk Lycanrock until I found out you can get a wild Rockruff with Own Tempo. So I figured I'd look for one. At the time I figured this out, I had a Rockruff I was planning to evolve in Day Lycanrok. I figured I'd check it's ability just in case. It was Own Temop. So I guess I don't need to go looking for one. Well... I still need another for Day Lycanrok, but any rock pupper will do. So I guess I gotta get the timing window right. Boom. I have it now.

I have evolved most of the ones I can. I'm currently on Pokemon who evolve at a high level. It's slow going. I'm mostly trying to do raids to get exp candy. But I keep running into 5 Star raids, and I'm not able to handle those. I've also been catching extra version exclusives to trade with later.

I've finally gotten some rain so I could get Goodra. I also finally found a wild Eevee. So I got Eevee knocked out along with Leafeon. The only Eeveelution left is Umbreon. I also need to catch an Applin, but that might be tricky. I also have some friendship evolutions to do. There's also evolving Primeape, Charcadet, Sneasel, Larvesta, Bramblin, Rellor, Noibat, Pawniard, and Gimmighoul. Other Pokemon I don't have require another person, most of them, a person with Violet. There are also a couple Pokemon that I have the evolved version of but not the pre-evo, Forretress and Banette.

Completed my first 5 star raid. I wanted to complete it very badly because it was Rotom. I wasn't aware you could get Rotom, I just assumed the blank space was for a very exclusive. I used the extra Koraidon you can catch, not sure if I mentioned I caught it or not. But it was powerful, pretty high level, had a Fighting Tera, and great Fighting moves.

I also wasn't aware that Bruxish was in the game, I now have one from a raid. I also got another Eevee from a raid, this one will be the Umbreon, I have caught it with a Friend Ball. I named it ShadowWater as a reference to both my tag and because it's a water tera dark type.

Nevermind about getting eggs from Forretress and Banette to get Pineco and Shuppet. I just looked up where to find them and caught them. I'm still going to get some extra Sprigetto though with a Ditto. I've also figured out how to get Applin, it was similar than I thought, I just don't think to headbutt the trees. But I got two Applin and evolved them into the different forms. Now all that's left is Pokemon that I can't get without having another person.

I guess there's still different forms I want to get. I don't have the male version fire lion pokemon. I also don't have the blaze form of Tauros, I want two of those to trade one. I also don't have 3 segment Dundunsparce nor a genuine Sinistea. I do have a single baby Moushold, which I talk about in the next segment. Oh yes! I'm still missing Sandyshocks too and Gimmighoul's evolution. Oh my gosh I have 10 grass cat eggs now, I don't think I was even at that picnic that long, my gosh, those two got busy. I checked the basket and they just kept coming. I now have many grass kittens.

I was doing a bunch of tera raids to get exp candy and to try to get herba mystica. And I found and caught a shiny Skwovet! I was just running by a group when I noticed that there was a Skwovet that had the same color scheme as Greedent. And I was like "whoa, is that a shiny?". :D I now have 3 Shiny.

Trials of a Single Family Mouse Hold

I'm trying to get a single family Mousehold. I currently have 3 full boxes of Taundomuse. That's 90. The chances are 1 in 100. I will say though that this isn't the first time i've caught a whole bunch and evolved them in mass but I wasn't counting the first time. First time was probably around 15? At the time I didn't actually know what the odds were and I still had a game to complete.

I caught them at the League because they appear there much more frequently. And I just watched Youtube while running around and catching them. I tried checking my sandwich recipes to see if any gave me Encounter Power Normal. Didn't see any but I decided to just make a sandwich for fun. And what do you know, when I was just fucking around I created a sandwich which gave me Encounter Power normal anyway!

Okay 1 Box emptied, no single family yet. 1/5 of the way through box 2, I've done it! I have the family of 3 mice! I was just about to nickname it when my Switch ran out of power. I succeeded just in time pretty much. :D

Recent news, I just got another single child Moushold from a Tera raid, I don't know what the odds are of that, but it happened.

believe it or not........................ Larry. Something about this man has bewitched me even though he is the most boring guy on the planet (actually by virtue of being so plain in a world FULL of extravagance, he is simply UNIQUE and I LOVE it).

Admittedly I thought he was kinda....... cute (and still do UH), but then I dove a bit deeper into the story and found that I resonated with him a little too much.

I was in a situation at my (now) former job that echoed his sentiments towards his own. Plus!!! The other characters badgering him to be less.. avoidant? and be more louder? I'm sorry but I think about that sometimes and want to tear up. It echoes moments in my own life where others bothered me about the same things. You can absolutely be those things to a (detrimental) fault but he's fine the way he is! He's tired! He needs friends who include him and understand him for who he is! I have been dead inside and unable to express my own emotions externally for a few years now and I feel less alone now that I met him. It gives me hope that I can feel with all my heart again funnily enough LOL.....

(he also reminds me SO MUCH of one of my original universe OCs, in both attitude and looks. but I truly ain't even that mad.)

honorable mentions to: (my wife) Miriam. Her storyline REALLY resonated with me. I want to be a teacher as well, but there are big barriers in the way for me that are halting my progress. She's a reminder that I can pick up my dream when I am ready again. It's why I chose her to be the mascot for this blog. (also she's so cute and my type when it comes to women shfdjdhfdjh)

and (my husband) Jacq simply because he is cute, jolly, and enthusiastic. I could say more but it would be embarrassing. (he also reminds me yet again of another one of my OCs, hence the attachment.) this is the game/gen that got me back into pokemon. I was let down by the 3DS era (tho ORAS was pretty decent but my hoenn bias probably was speaking there) and figured that maybe the franchise had run its course for me. I would still enjoy the series in a vacuum (kinda how I'm feeling about zelda atm if I'm being honest) but I no longer felt like I needed to keep in touch with it anymore.

I was so wrong. A very close friend gifted me and my best friend copies (she got violet, I got scarlet) and I was taken aback at how well crafted it was (shut up about the glitches, I barely had any, and when they did happen, they were funny and did not have any bearing on my enjoyment of the game SHUT UP).

For the first time in over a decade I returned to making (aka: resurrecting my old) pokemon OCs because I was simply OBSESSED. In doing that I made so many new friends? both here and on twitter. It's something I sorely needed. This year and last year have been nothing but upsetting news for me and SV has provided a reprieve from getting my heart ripped out of my chest over and over again. Its partially a huge reason why this blog exists as well.

you may have already answered something like this but, as a fan of the comics from before the show, I’m curious what your thoughts on the changes were. personally i really enjoyed it as an adaptation and my only real issues were aesthetic (it needed more bright color)

idk if I mentioned I was talking about paper girls in the previous ask or not whoops 😅

I really don't mind most of the changes! Paper Girls is such an expansive, explosive story on paper; the comic versions of these children are ping-pong balls firing off from one insane, splashy situation to the next in a heartbeat. A world made of ink and paper can afford to have crazy dinosaurs and hockey sticks sticking out of thin air and bombastic scene-scapes in past, super-past, super-future, etc. The show...in order to be feasible, kind of can't? If they'd done a one-to-one execution, 1) it would have cost a truly insane amount (or looked absolutely awful with VFX teams being run ragged lately) and 2) I don't think it would be accessible for non-comic readers. I think they did an excellent job of toning the whole thing down without losing the heart of what's happening, grounding the world so the viewer doesn't feel as though their face is being blown off with every shot.

I also think this really benefits the girls in terms of character building. KJ in the comics figures out she's gay because she gets some flash-bang images dumped into her head, and one of them is kissing Mac. That's great for that medium--but you get SO much more out of that journey onscreen by actively seeing her adult self be relaxed and happy with a girlfriend. Getting to watch KJ have that quiet mental breakdown (which, in 1988, she absolutely would do; finding out at 12 that you're destined to be queer, especially coming from a family that "cares what everyone else thinks" like hers does, would be incredibly jarring) and then slowly come to terms with what it all means is much more effective on a grounded level. Same with Mac finding out she dies, not from some random lady telling her the family moved afterward, but from the older brother she's revered her whole life--and then building on that relationship to help her on this journey of understanding she's always had value. Erin getting time to discover her adult self is way cooler than she gave her credit for gives adult!Erin's final scene so much more punch than if it they'd gone the clone!Erin route, and gives her room to learn that maybe there's more to life than just being the caretaker.

None of these story beats are better or worse, per se; they just exist more cleanly in the tone of this world. The comic beats are perfect for a comic world, and the television ones are easier to digest as viewers who watch these actors make choices to flesh out the characters scene-to-scene.

Even the colors, I understand. Like. The comics have some of my favorite art, hands down. Paper Girls and Wicked and the Divine are probably my top-tier comics for just how gorgeous they are--but, as with the languages of the future teens and the Old Timers, I wonder if having the palette that extreme would have been alienating to the eyeballs. The whole final episode is kind of rough to watch simply because they've cast that magenta filter over it all; imagine a whole show with such vibrancy. It's possible to do, but I don't think it would have fit the tone as well. I think they found a middle ground that works really well for a first season, and if they get a second, I would think that is where they might start to play with expanding the imagery.

Hey sweetie, sorry for the late reply, I had to gather some stuff. Also, it doesn't make me uncomfortable at all, it's very interesting. To answer your question, ummm yeah kinda yes. Well, it's a very vague thing. I will link you some stuff, but it's not the complete thing and also my interpretation. Make up your own mind.

To start off, most of this is Harry, because he apparently has a thing for showing off to the public about his sex life, sorry Louis No Control is a little too vanilla.

Louis has talked about BDSM in two or three interviews. But it was, like all of his interviews, completely unbelievable. In this interview(9:45), the interviewer asks if he likes kinky stuff and he basically just denies it, like he doesn't even know what it is. But then you have this interview where Louis probably does have a clue. "Being used" yes yes.

I would say Louis has very dominant energy. "Always the boss." "Anything to add, Harry?" "What else, Harry?" "He told me he was intrigued." Sorry, that's just me, my interpretation, just ignore me. Louis' dominance isn't only with Harry, Louis is just a very... interesting friend. Like he's you know edging Niall, get it... okay moving on.

Harry is always very tiny, taking up as little space as possible.

The thing with BDSM, it's not about chains and whips. It's about power exchange, between two or more people. Because you're new to it I'm not really going to plant any ideas in your head, you have to see for yourself. If you think it's not the case, fine great.
