Prison Au
Adam stretched as he walked into work that morning, he should really see if he can get Mark to switch with him back to nights, this shit was too early to be dealing with society's scum.
He punched in his time sheet and met Lute on the floor.
Adam: Morning.
Lute: Morning sir.
Adam: Let's crack some crime.
They walked out and Adam was keeping an eye out for anyone placing their hands on the bars, he could crack their fingers. He loved the sound it made.
Lucifer saw the guards come in and rolled his eyes, officers Adam Kadmon and Lute Danger thought they were tough shit because they had a badge. But they were just assholes.
Weren't all the attractive people assholes?
The sound of someone getting their fingers cracked echoed and Lucifer just shook his head.
Adam was on top of his career, he had everything going for him.
He had no idea how different his life was going to be very soon.
*Adam was in his office twirling the baton when some police officers walked into the room both had grim looks on their faces*
Adam: Officers, is there something you needed?
Officer #1: Your son Cain Kadmon has been found shot in the head.
Adam: What?
*Adam had married his childhood sweetheart, they had twin boys Cain and Abel as well as a daughter named Aclima, when they were younger Eve had died from cancer and it caused stress on the family, one night Cain attacked what he thought was an intruder by stabbing him in the chest, it turned out being Abel, because Cain was a young teen he had received mental help, Cain was in his early twenties at this point and it hurt Adam that he had lost two sons when they were so young*
Adam: Please tell me that you found a suspect.
Officer #2: We have.
*Adam was slammed against the wall as handcuffs were put on him*
Officer #1: Adam Kadmon you are under arrest for the murder of Cain Kadmon, anything say can and will be used against you in a court of law and you have a right to an attorney.
*Adam was in shock as he was read his rights and taken to a room where Lute was waiting*
Adam: Lute, why do they think I killed Cain?
Lute: They think you did it for revenge, I know it’s bullshit.
Adam: Please let me call mom so she can go pick up Aclima from school today.
*Aclima was still in high school and he worried about how it would hurt her to hear her dad was wrongfully accused of murdering her older brother, he quickly called Sera who said that she would pick up Aclima and explain what happened and tell her how much her dad loved her, when Adam got off the phone Lute looked worried*
Adam: What’s wrong Danger?
Lute: While they get the trial ready they want to keep you here because they think you are a flight risk.
*Adam wanted to punch the wall, he couldn’t believe he was going to be in the same place those fuckers he messed with, a couple other guards arrived to Adam processed*

"Men are more ready to repay an injury than a benefit because gratitude is a burden and revenge a pleasure." - Tacitus
Dale Schrader was born on February 6, 1967. A lifelong criminal, he began a series of armed bank robberies throughout New York in 1994. He married a woman named Connie on August 17, 1995. On June 16, 1996, the two had a daughter whom they named Jenny, less than a year after the wedding. On May 5, 2001, Dale was sold out by Dan Otey, a fellow bank robber, and was arrested.
Evidence of his involvement in the other robberies provided by Officer Joe Muller proved damning, and Dale was sentenced to fifteen years in a Lockport prison. While incarcerated, Dale proved to be a model prisoner, and due to good behavior, was released in only eleven years.
While serving his sentence, Dale plotted an elaborate revenge scheme which he set into action two days after his release. He tracked down the home of Joe, having discerned that he and Otey were the ones who were responsible for his arrest.
At Joe's house, he abducted his wife and two sons at knifepoint, subsequently placing them in a crack house frequented by Stacy Ryan, the sister of a deceased former cellmate, and a group of fellow addicts whom he paid to keep an eye on the hostages.
With Joe's family taken care of, Dale approached Joe outside a hardware store, showed him a picture and phone recording of his captive family, and blackmailed him into helping him acquire a key in police storage. What the key goes to, you have no clue.
Before getting the key, Dale decided to abduct his daughter to spite his now ex-wife, stabbing Ryan to death en route and dumping her body on the side of a road. Dale abducted Jenny while Connie was away from home and placed her in a cabin near the Canadian border. Jenny's abduction was what called in the BAU, who created a profile for him.
That's why Derek is chasing Dale close to the middle of the night in the middle of the woods. Jenny wasn't hard to track down which caught Dale red-handed, and Derek wasn't going to let him get away.
"Don't move, Schrader!" Derek yells.
"Dale Schrader, you're under arrest for the murder of Stacy Ryan and the kidnapping of your daughter, Jenny."
Derek pulls him up by his cuffed hands and brings him to the police car that is by the cabin where Jenny is being held.
"Let me say goodbye to her," Dale pleads.
"You lost that right the minute you took her," Emily glares.
"She's my daughter! Jenny!"
Jenny looks frightened by him and coils into the police officer assigned to watch her.
"No, it's okay. He can't hurt you."
"Jenny, I'm sorry."
"Are you going to ride with her?" the officer asks Derek.
"Yeah, I got it. Jenny, listen to me. I promise you he's gonna go away for a long time. It's going to be alright."
Email shoves Dale into the back of the police car and approaches Derek who is talking to Jenny. She takes out her phone and calls Hotch to give him an update, Derek lets Jenny talk to her mom on the phone, and the police officer going to ride with Dale and Emily is canceling the Amber Alert put on Jenny.
Soon after, everyone leaves the cabin in their respective vehicles and heads down the mountain to get on the main highway. Emily is the first car in the group followed by the ambulance followed by the other police cars. Derek relaxes in his seat for the long ride ahead of them when he comes across a sight he never wants to see.
The car that held Emily, Bunting, and Dale crashed into the ditch on the side of the road. Emily is on the side of the road with cuts on her head but it doesn't look like Dale is anywhere near the scene.
"Pull over. That's one of us!" The ambulance pulls over and Derek jumps out before the car has a chance to stop completely. "Prentiss!!"
"What the hell happened?" she groans painfully.
"Are you okay?"
"I think. Bunting's down there. He's dead. Schrader's gone. It was a big truck. New York tags, Victor Alpha 737. They went northbound about ten minutes ago."
"That son of a bitch got away," Derek curses.
"He's got a partner," Emily winces.
You're stuck at the station with Rossie, Spencer, JJ, and Hotch. He took the time he needed off before returning to work. This will be his first case back since the funeral so you're not sure how this is going to go for him. Spencer looks at you and notices how distant you look. He hasn't had time to tell the team how you've been feeling since you got out of prison, and he needs to tell them soon, or else you're going to crash.
You haven't been sleeping well because every time you close your eyes, the nightmares come. They're not even about prison. The energy stuck to you makes you see all sorts of shit at night that you'd rather forget. Spencer looks at his hands and flexes them because he's gonna do something he hates doing. He reaches over to you and grabs your hand as a way to show you that you have his support.
You do something that tells him you're dying inside and need help.
You squeeze his hand without looking at him.
"The first case back, we won, and you'll be home for breakfast," Rossi smiles at Hotch.
"We never figured out why Schrader killed Stacy Ryan. She had no connection to his daughter or his ex-wife."
JJ walks into the office with the phone in her hand.
"There's been an accident. Emily's in the hospital and Bunting's dead."
"Is she alright?"
"She has a concussion. Morgan's with her right now going to the hospital. Schrader escaped the scene northbound in a truck with a partner."
"We need roadblocks now. Do we have a license plate number?"
"Emily remembered a partial."
"It's better than nothing," Rossi comments. "He could be headed to Canada. We need somebody who knows the area."
"I'll get an officer. I'll make sure Schrader's face is everywhere," she says and leaves.
"Schrader was a bank robber. Now he's murdered a woman, kidnapped his daughter, and killed a cop. He's obviously more sophisticated than we originally thought."
"He's got a bigger plan. It's not just about getting his daughter and fleeing the country. We never profiled that he'd have a partner. We don't know this guy at all."
With two agents down, the rest have to reinvent the profile since you never anticipated Schrader to have a partner in all of this. Why did he escalate from robbery to murder and kidnapping? What's his endgame?
"Alright, so Schrader pulled a series of bank heists in the 1990s. He was the only one to ever go away for the crimes. He was a model prisoner, only served eleven of his fifteen years. He was released early on good behavior, and any friends he had are either dead or still in prison," Spencer recaps.
"A three-ton truck was found north of the accident, not too far from Canada. We have the heaviest presence at border crossings. He probably knows that, but I don't think he's gonna sit still for long."
"He might have to depending on how injured he is," Spencer says.
"What do we know?"
"Dale Schrader went to prison for robbery. He was hands-off. All of his crimes were impersonal. Two days after he's released, he kills Stacy and kidnaps his daughter. It's both personal and emotional. It doesn't make any sense.
"When he's not attached to the crime, he pulls it off, but the minute he's invested, he lets his guard down and gets caught. It makes sense. He's not the hard-ass we thought he was."
"If Jenny was what he wanted, he had her. He could have left. He could have taken her to Canada. Why didn't he?
JJ comes back in with pictures in hand.
"Here are pictures from the accident."
It's not as bad as it could have been but you're still worried about Emily.
"Any word on Emily?" you ask.
"Apparently, she's arguing with the doctors," JJ chuckles.
"This took a lot to pull off. What if he's got a group of guys to call on? All those bank jobs were solo but this is a lot for one man to orchestrate."
"Have you figured out why he killed Stacy?" JJ asks.
"We haven't found any connection to Schrader, but she may be connected to the partner. Killing her might have been advance payment for breaking him out of custody."
Hotch calls Pen over video chat so everyone can hear what she has to say.
"Garcia, I need everything you've got on Stacy Ryan."
"She was a junkie. If she wasn't high, she was waiting to get high. The only thread I have between her and Schrader is that Stacy's brother spent time with Schrader upstate five years ago."
"Why would Schrader kill a junkie? It doesn't make sense. Where's the brother now?"
"Dead."
"It doesn't feel like Schrader does anything randomly. Stacy must have meant something to him."
"Yeah, but what?"
"Can you figure it out?"
"I'm on it," Penelope says and hangs up.
You're not completely here but you try your best to think about the current case. Schrader's partner saw everything that happened in the woods but he ran away and stole a truck. He knew Emily and Derek were taking that road back to the station which is why he waited for them and crashed into Emily when the moment was right.
This whole thing feels meticulous. If Schrader didn't need his partner for Jenny, then he must need him for something else. For what, you're not sure of. It doesn't make sense because Schrader had five years to plan all of this in prison. He should have had backup plans for his backup plans. He had more than enough time to escape over the border with Jenny before his ex-wife got home and realized she was missing.
Instead, he stayed local in that cabin. He had what he wanted. He could have run. Logically, there must be something else keeping him in Lockport.
One AM rolls around quicker than you'd hoped, and you yawn from how tired you've been. Not only do you need sleep but you're running only on caffeine and energy drinks. It's not healthy for you but you don't know what else to do.
"Schrader's face is all over the news," JJ says. "He's been on the run for almost two hours and we're no closer to catching him."
"We need to find the partner."
"Hey," Spencer says and everyone looks behind him to see Emily and Derek walking into the police station. "How are you feeling?"
"I feel like I got hit by a truck."
"Here, sit," JJ says and pulls out a chair for her.
"Thanks." Emily has Penelope on the phone and places her on speakerphone so everyone can hear her. "Garcia, tell everyone what you just told me."
"I have unearthed more of Schrader's past. What we do know is that he robbed fifteen banks in the state of New York in the nineties. However, what your resident glamour-puss smarty-pants just found out was that most of that money was never recovered."
"Where is it?" Spencer asks.
"My guess is that only he knows."
"That might be a good reason to stick around Lockport. The robbery that put him away should have been routine, right? What happened?"
"Maybe someone turned him in."
"I don't know. He kept to himself and always worked alone. Who'd turn him in? We're missing somebody. Garcia?"
"Yes, checking, sir. Records leading up to Schrader's arrest show this other bank robber named Dan Otey. He was looking at copious amounts of time, then he strikes a deal, and all of a sudden Schrader is arrested."
"It can't be a coincidence. You know, it's not uncommon for criminals to buy jobs off one another. Maybe that's what Schrader did but Dan Otey sold him out for a lesser sentence."
"It doesn't make sense. Otey was a rat and now he's the partner?" JJ shakes her head.
"You're right, Schrader wouldn't trust him. If anything, he'd want him dead."
"He'd probably use him first. He'd tell Otey that he owes him one and that he might save his life if he helps him get out of this jam."
"Where is he now, Garcia?" Hotch asks.
"Otey is a local. He lives off Route 7."
You get up from the table and head over to the coffee machines to pour yourself an extra strong cup. Spencer waits until you're in the other room before speaking up. This is his chance to tell everyone what's been going on with you.
"Okay, let's take a pause for a second. There's something going on with Y/N. Prison did something to her but she's pretending like everything is fine when I know it's not. I don't think she's been ready to come back. She's scared to go to sleep, she's crying all the time, and she is terrified. She keeps telling herself that she is fine but I know she'll crash sooner or later. It's not going to be pretty when it does."
"I noticed something was wrong on the last case we were on," Emily says. "She left one of the crime scenes and I found her outside begging for someone to help. It looked like she was locked in her own mind. I didn't want to say anything since it's none of my business but now that you put it out there, I had to say something."
"Let me handle her," Derek says. "Thanks for letting me know."
You come back with your coffee but don't notice how everyone is staring at you.

Baron Lamram (Marmalade) x fem!reader blurb
Tumblr media
Baron Lamram was the perfect Southern gentleman. The best part about him was that he was yours. There was never a dull day with him around. Having him in your life and his mama Eda who considered you to be a daughter to her meant so much to you. Baron loved that his mama supported his relationship with you. It all started when you were traveling cross-country on a road trip. Once you ended up in the South little did you know your life would change forever. In the park, you were sunbathing and that's when you met Baron by the lake. Not only was he respectable but he had the most adorable lopsided smile. You introduced yourselves to each other and it was all uphill from there. Soon you started dating and he would take you out on the cutest dates imaginable. The best dates were simple and fun like going on a picnic, swimming at the lake, the diner and ice cream parlor, and the local carnival. You were his first lover and first real official relationship. He gifted you matching promise rings once you were dating for a year. His home was now your home too. Baron loved vanilla ice cream cones and would get them every time you went to the ice cream shop together so you did too. It was simple but delicious.
Soon after you had a pregnancy test taken and it was unfortunately a false positive. Baron and you both wanted to be parents. Then the robberies started because Mama Eda was sick and working at the local supermarket together with Baron wasn't enough to make ends meet. Baron's mama meant a great deal to you and she appreciated all your help around the house with cooking, buying groceries, cleaning, helping the household with your job co-working with Baron, and tending to her by her bedside. One day out antique shopping you had the best idea- to buy masks. They were unique and had 3 distinct faces. Soon you and Baron mapped out and planned your first bank heist. The day came and you were incognito with the best disguises. Baron had confided in you he wanted to also dress as a woman but in drag. It was hot and sexy and it turned you on so much that you decided to make passionate love. Lady Baron had the prettiest makeup and the nicest jewelry. The black lacy Madonna-like gloves and fire-engine red lipstick truly completed the look. Lady Baron loved to get pegged and she loved to dress in your clothes completing her look with scarves. The blouse/skirt combination. The dresses she wore were gorgeous and some of them were silky. Your favorite outfits of hers were the black and red dresses, as well as animal print, especially leopard and zebra.
On the day of the robbery, you were the getaway driver and he went in gun in tow and held them up. Before the bank robbery, you wished Baron good luck and kissed him deeply and passionately as if it could be the last time he would ever kiss you. Coming back to the car with the money and goods like expensive watches and jewelry, you and Baron got away. After a few more robberies he was arrested and you made your getaway. He convinced the police it was all on him. In prison, you visited him and had the best conjugal visits with wild and crazy back-scratching sex. Soon you worked as a guard and helped him to escape prison. On the run now you had to get even better disguises and he changed his look by cutting his hair short and going a bit incognito. Lady Baron still made a presence though as you were dressed as a man and Ms. Lady Baron drove the getaway car evading officers. Driving far away from his hometown to visit his mom who was sick in hospice and bringing her the pills was the most important task. The money you had stolen counted up close to a million and with that money you bought a better and nicer car that was a sleek red Corvette. You eventually got matching tattoos of flaming hearts. Soon you got married at a little ceremony with Mama Eda and an ordained wedding officiant. The honeymoon was in Brooklyn, New York City, and Niagara Falls NY was the best part of it. When the time was right you got a puppy together she was a pomeranian from animal control. You named her Spike. Spike didn't like many people except for you, Baron, and Mama Eda. For the longest time, you tried hard for a baby and soon you were pregnant with a beautiful baby girl. You named her Eda. Less than 2 years later you had a boy then another girl. You named the kids Bonnie and Clyde. Thanks to the best doctors and medicine, Mama Eda got the best treatment and recovered gradually. Now living out in the country you had a farm with horses, ducks, goats, and cows. It was a nice farming life and you loved Baron more than anything else. The feeling was mutual.

Trashbin Hotel rewrite
WARNING: Mentions of suicide, body shaming, and unhealthy habits
Valentino: Instead of being a rapist, he's just some guy who's horrible at love. When he was still alive, he was a bodyguard of a club in Colombia. He tried finding a partner, but always failed in a way, until he met a woman named Caterina. The two eventually started dating, and later on got married, until something happened. Caterina cheated on Val over some other man she found in the streets. Once Valentino found out about this atrocity, he hatched a plan: to get rid of Caterina's partner once and for all. A week after his plan occurred, Caterina decided to visit the new man's apartment and drink with him for the night. Val snuck into the apartment and planted several bombs in the 3rd floor, where Caterina and the new man were. Once the bombs went off and caused a fire, he realized that he didn't just kill the man, he killed Caterina, and with frustration, he gave in to the fire, quite literally.
Vox: I legit thought he was from the 2010s and not the 50s because of his whole motif and flat-screen head, so I made him a gamer/hacker/internet troll from the 2010s. When he was young, he enjoyed playing video games and begged to get a gaming chair and a bigger screen. Once he did, he realized he felt more comfortable there, but still wanted more, so his parents got him a new computer. Once he got older, he started developing a screen addiction and an obsession over over-processed foods. He refused to barely move from his gaming room and his parents barely cared. They gave him snacks, and unhealthy foods, considering they were too lazy to cook. They constantly left him there and they didn't care about what their son would become. Considering he barely cared about anything in life, besides his unhealthy addictions and barely went out, he lived with his parents even after the age of 18. It was just Vox and his precious video games, until he went online and started learning the art of hacking. Once he learned how to code all by himself (which didn't take very long, considering he was very tech-savvy), he got to the point where he started posting leaks of upcoming games, threatened anyone who tried to stop him, even telling them to kill themselves, not knowing what problems the users were dealing with, and even went to the point where he hacked the government. Vox was arrested and soon died later on in prison from his unhealthy diet.
Mimzy: She was a jazz singer who went to multiple clubs and bars during the 20s. She was very popular during the time but had her own issues. Years before, her husband got sick and she spent every penny to try and save him, but she couldn't. Due to her frustration, she started working as a singer to earn money and help her children. She was willing to do anything for them, even sacrificing her life so they can have a better life than she ever did. It was all going well until she found a specific bar she became fond of. Unfortunately, she wasn't paid well, due to the manager telling her that she's paid "what she's worth". The reason why she was paid little to no money, even though her fans enjoyed her music, was because of her appearance. The manager had a history of fat-shaming individuals and paying them due to their appearance. Until one day, Mimzy couldn't take it any more and decided to kill herself, knowing what would happen. She took the money that her manager kept stashed and gave it to her kids, before out of frustration, killed her manager and then turned the bullet to her head.

Philip Carl Pomper, Florida inmate J48575, born 1977, incarceration intake August 2013 at age 35, sentenced to life
Murder, Sexual Battery
Pomper, who killed a man in 2007 and was finally identified in 2012, five years after the murder, and in July 2013 was sentence to life in prison.
Assistant State Attorney Jacquelyn Roys, who argued forcefully for the maximum sentence. Pomper had accepted a plea agreement on June 20, 2013.. He entered a no-contest plea to one count of second-degree murder, and the state agreed to a sentencing range of 35 years to life in prison.
He offered no testimony or statements to the court in his defense.
Through witness statements and a recorded interview of Pomper by St. Johns County Sheriff's Office detective Robert Dean, the details of the murder came out.
Pomper and his girlfriend at the time, Paige Bush, were driving around - for no reason either of them could remember - in the early morning hours of Jan. 28, 2007.
With Pomper at the wheel, armed with a handgun he said he had recently purchased, the couple happened upon the victim, Clark McWhorter. He was walking alone on a deserted stretch of State Road A1A in northern St. Johns County. It was raining and he apparently thought Pomper, who made a U-turn so that his vehicle was on the same side of the street, was going to offer him a ride.
But when McWhorter leaned in the passenger side window to speak to the driver, Pomper stretched his arm across the car in front of Bush and pointed the gun at McWhorter. Before the man could get away from the car, Pomper fired a bullet into McWhorter's face and then drove off.
Although he didn't speak at the hearing, Pomper's recollection of the events as told to Dean in the June 20, 2012, interview was quite similar to that of Bush.
The main difference was that Pomper said Bush urged him on when he asked her if they should go scare McWhorter, a man neither of them knew.
In her testimony at the sentencing hearing, Bush said she was in an abusive relationship with Pomper and was afraid that if anyone was going to be shot, it would be her.
"That night, he said, 'Someone's going to die,'" Bush said. "I knew a year before a girl had been killed near Guana River. I was thinking that would be me."
Bush said she tried to get the authorities onto Pomper without him realizing she had tipped them off. She was the only witness to the crime, and she was afraid Pomper would hurt her or a member of her family if she told the police. She even called Crimestoppers to report that he had weapons illegally. She said her hope was that investigators would seize the murder weapon from him and realize it was used in McWhorter's killing.
Pomper was arrested but not for a murder and was soon out of jail. Some time later - Bush and Pomper gave different time frames - the relationship between Pomper and Bush ended.
Later in 2007, Pomper got back together with ex-girlfriend Jennifer Pomper, with whom he had a daughter. They were married in 2009.
However, there was trouble, and Pomper was accused of child molestation.
Pomper was only linked to the murder after his wife, recalling a claim that he had once killed a man, decided to contact Bush. They eventually told investigators everything they knew about the murder of McWhorter, a case that had stalled for more than five years without a suspect.
When Dean finally arrested and interviewed Pomper, he was able to establish the details of the crime because Pomper quickly waived his Miranda rights and confessed.
What no one really discerned was a reason for the crime.
"I don't know why," Pomper said in his interview with Dean. "I was trying to show off. I was trying to scare the guy."
Although he showed little emotion during the sentencing hearing, Pomper clearly struggled while trying to explain his actions to Dean, often burying his face in his folded arms.
"I'm not that kind of person," Pomper said in the interview. "I tried to kill myself afterwards with the gun.
"I don't know what kind of person he (McWhorter) was. He could have been a good man for all I know."
The state had plenty of testimony that McWhorter was a good man and that he should not have died the way he did.
"You're sentencing a dangerous man," Roys said in closing. "The state's position is Mr. Pomper deserves nothing less than life (in prison)."
Defense attorney Raymond Warren agreed that Pomper's crime was senseless, but he said the defendant's cooperation should be taken into account.
"He never backed down and tried to be evasive with the detective," Warren said. "He did come clean and we're asking you to sentence him to 35 years concurrent (with the sentence from Duval County)."
The Judge asked Pomper one last time if he wanted to address the court before issuing the sentence. Pomper again declined and the Judge sentenced him to life in prison.

When Dr. Darryl Sutorius, a prominent heart surgeon in Cincinnati, Ohio, first met Dante Britteon, he had no idea the trouble he was getting into.
Darryl had been married to another woman for 30 years, with whom he had four kids. While he was a highly-regarded surgeon, being one of the best in his field, he had horrible people skills and a short fuse, making him a nightmare to be around both at work and home. This caused his marriage to become strained, resulting in a divorce.
After the divorce, Darryl struggled with intense loneliness, fearing he would die alone. He took to an online dating service, hoping to find love there, and was matched with Dante Britteon, a petite blonde woman in her 40s who had a degree from UCLA and used to run her own daycare centre. For Darryl, it was love at first sight.
Dante had only been married twice in her life and was serious about finding a life partner. Darryl was absolutely smitten with his new girlfriend, pampering her with all the exquisite vacations and designer labels she coveted. Months into dating, they decided to marry. But soon, the marriage started taking a turn for the worse, when Darryl’s daughter began planning her own lavish wedding and requested her father’s financial help. Dante took great issue with Darryl spending money on his own kids, resulting in many heated arguments that escalated into death threats from Dante.
Darryl, fed up with his wife’s controlling ways, lawyered up to begin the process of a divorce. That’s when he found out her real name was Della Faye Hall. Not Dante. Darryl took it upon himself to call Della’s mother, whom she was essentially estranged from, and found out some terrifying details about his wife’s past. Della lied about being married twice. She’d actually been married 4 times, with many boyfriends in between. She abused all of them, threatening nearly all of them with a gun. She set one boyfriend’s bed on fire while he was asleep, and burned down another boyfriend’s house when he broke up with her. She also never attended UCLA. She hadn’t even finished high school. Whoever she dated or married, Della squeezed every penny out of them.
Hearing these details about his wife made him fear for his life. He tried to speed up the divorce process and planned to serve his wife with divorce papers. But he never got to do that. Della knew that if she and Darryl divorced, she’d only be granted around $2000 in alimony payments per month. But if he died...she’d inherit $900,000.
So Della bought a gun and then shot her husband in the head, staging the scene to appear like a suicide.
But the forensic evidence came through, pointing toward Darryl’s death being a homicide--not a suicide. Della was arrested and sentenced to 23 years to life in prison, where she died in 2010 at the age of 60.

full name : cassius alder birthplace : chicago, illinois date of birth : november 15th, 1991 parentage : lennox alder, catriona young sibling(s) : micah alder ( younger, half sister, same mother ) occupation : construction worker relationship status : single gender identity : cis male ( he/him ) sexual orientation : pansexual faceclaim : dylan o'brien
BACKGROUND
TRIGGER WARNINGS : ABUSE, VIOLENCE, DRUGS AND SUICIDE, please avoid reading if this triggers you in anyway <3
cassius grew up in the gritty neighborhoods of southside chicago, where survival was a daily struggle. his parents never married, and by the time he was old enough to remember, they’d already split. he had one sister, three years younger, and despite the chaos surrounding them, cassius managed to stay out of trouble— at least for a while. he lived with his mother until he was fifteen, but when she moved in with a new boyfriend, everything changed. cassius never got along with the guy, and the feeling was mutual. up until that point, cassius had been a good kid— smart, driven, with a future that seemed promising. but when he moved in with his father, things took a turn. his father, a well-known drug dealer with a violent reputation, quickly pulled cassius into his world. what started as running errands for his father — driving him to collect debts — soon escalated. cassius found himself selling weed, cocaine, and sometimes harder drugs. the money was fast, but so were the consequences. his grades dropped, and with it, any hope for a future outside of the streets. what had once seemed like a promising path now felt more like a trap. a few weeks before his high school graduation, cassius discovered bruises on his younger sister. it didn’t take long to realize her stepfather was the cause. filled with rage, cassius confronted the man. the situation ended with him arrested for aggravated battery, and he was sentenced to three years in prison. this was just the first of many run-ins with the law. this stint in prison would prove difficult for cassius. whilst he kept mainly to himself, his fathers name brought as much unwanted attention as it did useful connections. during this stint, his cellmate would also take his own life. cassius would be the one to find him. the image and feeling like he could have done more has haunted him terribly ever since. after prison, cassius had little to rely on. no diploma, no skills, and nothing but his father’s business to fall back on. he went back to the game, this time handling bigger operations. but at 25, he was arrested again, this time for possession of a class a drug— something he’d been holding for his father. his time in prison gave him a chance to reflect. he used it to build skills, learn a trade and plan for a way out. after his release, he got a job in construction, but took on side gigs as a getaway driver to make extra cash. eventually, he realized he didn’t want to be part of that life anymore, because it had never been his choice in the first place. at thirty-two, cassius thought he was done with the past. but life had other plans. he got caught up in a bar fight, blamed for it because of his criminal record, and landed back in jail for a couple of months. this was the final straw. he was determined to change, to get out for good. now, approaching his thirty-fourth birthday, cassius has relocated to palmview, florida, to live with his cousin and make a fresh start. palmview isn’t unfamiliar to him— he had spent several summers there as a kid, visiting family to escape the chaos of home. it was a peaceful place, far from the streets he’d known. now, it feels like the opportunity he’s been waiting for. a place that offers a chance to rebuild, but cassius knows that the shadows of his past will follow him no matter where he goes. still, he’s determined to leave that life behind. for the first time in years, he has hope that this time, he can make it work.
headcannons
during his stints in prison he developed a love of reading, and discovered he's rather talented artistic-wise, often finds himself sketching to pass time and quieten his mind.
cassius is an extremely skilled driver.
despite the trouble being his fathers son has caused him, the two are still extremely close. cassius loves his dad, but knows for his own sake distance is necessary. being around the other makes it too easy to slip back into old habits.
cassius doesn't speak to his mother at all, but he hopes one day she'll see sense and leave her boyfriend. his door is always open to her.
it takes a lot for him to be loyal to someone, but once he is nothing will break it. if he has your back, he'll have it forever.
wanted connections
his sister — I’ll eventually get around to putting this as a wc on the main. but this is by far the most important relationship in his life, and her thriving makes everything he's gone through worth it to him. his cousin — they're his best friend, the one person that really knows him. bonded since childhood, they're the main reason he visited palmview for so many summers in a row. reoccurring fling — so far there is nothing more to it than two people looking for temporary distraction. due to some of the things he's seen in prison, cassius can often suffer from night terrors, this person could potentially be aware of this.past summer fling — a summer romance that lasted the span of his summertime visits, this person would have had to have been in palmview for at least twenty years and be of a similar age to him. ex — we'd have to figure out the when and how, as it would not have been in palmview, but i would love someone who loved him even when he was going down a wrong path, and who he genuinely tried to be better for even though he wasn't capable of following through at the time.
anything and everything <3

Thinking about my Mötley Crüe age swap AU right now so here are some rapidfire details about it.
• So in this universe Tommy, Nikki and Vince are the older members of the band and Mick is the youngest.
• Tommy never drops out of college in this au as there was no band stopping him from completing his education and he gets a job in the field he was studying in.
• He marries his highschool sweetheart at nineteen and they had two kids together.
•They moved into a house in Covina, barely a stones skip away from his own parents, and they live a pretty happy domestic life together for .
•That is until he finds his wife cheating on him and he falls into a literal pit of insanity.
• 'How could she do this to him, he gave her everything, he gave her his golden years and she just threw it away, just like that?'
• He nearly kills the guy his wife was with and he gets arrested for assault and is sent to prison for five days.
• Needless to say Tommy, now thirty, spirals completey out of control.
• He starts drinking during the day, he's late to work all of the time, his now ex wife has moved out and taken their kids with her and it's just a mess.
• And to top it all off Tommy looses his job for showing up to work drunk.
• Soon he can't afford the bills on the house so he decides to just pack up and move somewhere else completey, somewhere where he didn't know all the people and everybody knew him. He needed something new, something fresh.
• He decides to move to LA as he remembered always wanting to live there as kid as it was where all his favourite bands were from.
• it was such an impulsive decision that he really only realised he didn't have ....well a plan at all.(He basically just threw his drums in the back seat of his car and drove)
• So unemployed and unable to get a job because of his brand new criminal record he turns to a far more unsavory preoccupation
• Dealing
• Nothing huge, useally just weed or maybe a bit of cocaine.
• But after gaining a few regulars he's able to afford a shitty apartment (with a roommate)right across from the whiskey-a-go-go so he can go down to the club and catch a show or two.
• Imagine his suprise when his roommate just so happens to be one of his regulars.
• Nikki's backstory is pretty much the same to his backstory irl, except he ended up staying in London.
• They'd been together for almost a decade, so Nikki is also in his early thirties.
• They had made it so close to actual stardom that Nikki really thought that London would be the band that finally went the distance.
• They made an album that created some noise in the LA club scene, and they'd been approached by a label who wanted to sign them.
• The band took the deal ,after they booted him from the band and replaced him with someone else.
•They all decided that Nikki's habbits were too extreme to start a good career with and they were just generally sick of his terrible attitude.
• He got kicked, form the band that he founded!, He made those fuckers the stars that they are now and this was how they replayed him?! He'd even tried cutting down on everything he was on so he could be semi sober when he became rich and famous.
• Oh he'd show them, he'd have the last laugh someway, somehow...
• And it's just his luck that after being thrown out of the apartment he shared with his previous bandmates his new roommate just so happened to be a drummer.
• And his newest dealer, he really got a two for one deal!
• Tommy's a little hesitant to move in with Nikki at first, because one, the guy was one of his more "unstable" clients and was generally just super sketch as he seemed wayyyyy to eager to be Tommy's roommate.
• But seeing as Tommy didn't really have any options right now, he sucks it up and they start living together.Besides nothing bad has ever happened to people who lived with druggies.
• They end up connecting quite quickly after they actually settle in with each other and once they start talking about music everything falls into place.
• sidenote if you think that the Mötley apartment is cleaner then irl Mötley's apartment back in the day, your wrong it's still a pigsty, like these guys just don't know how to clean I'm sorry.
• They start playing with each other soon after their music discussion and their sounds blended together in perfect harmony.
•Nikki almost immediately starts pushing Tommy towards the idea of starting a band and with how drastically Tommy's life has changed within the span of a few months, he's just like "fuck it, let's do it"
• They'd come home from their shitty day jobs(Nikki selling lightbulbs and Tommy selling weed) and practice the songs that Nikki had written for them.
• While they were good on their own they still needed a guitarist and a singer.
• Tommy eventually stumbles upon an ad that seems right up their alley. "Loud, rude aggressive guitar player seeks band, call Mick" he shows it to Nikki who gives him the okay to call. He speaks to Mick very briefly to secure a time for them to meet up.
• There was also another guy named Robin that they'd met while hanging out at the whiskey who seemed interested in the idea of joining their band. So they scheduled for him to come over to practice at the same time Mick is coming.
• So this is where the story becomes more similar to the movie as the scene with the guitarists are almost the same, Robin is there before Mick and already in the process of of practicing with the band and Nikki is digging into him for not being to play his cords like he wants him to.
• "Come on dude, I've told you how to do play this like a million times!"
• Just before Nikki loses all patience and kicks Robin out, there's a knock on the door (their door hasn't been kicked in by cops just yet as mötley style parties still happen their just fewer and further between as their old men and their recovery time for a hang over or drug sickness is a lot longer.)
• To get away from Nikki's brewing freak out, he goes to answer the door and there he finds a little red haired teen, that looked like he weighed about 40 pounds wet.
• Tommy raises a brow in confusion, "You lost kid?"
• And this kid just looks at him very intensely, like one of those scary twins from the shining and goes "I'm Mick, I'm here about the guitarist position."
•This kid didn't exactly look like a rock and roller, he looked more like a wanna be country star but he let's him in anyway because he thinks this kids spooky vibe is funny and he thinks Nikki will dig it too (As he's a scary mother fucker himself)
• Nikki seems overjoyed for the distraction that Mick offers him from yelling at Robin but he's sceptical on wether he can play or not.
• "Do you even know how to play this instrument, little boy." Nikki says taking the piss with the kid because he's young and looks inexperienced and he needs a fresh outlet to take his annoyens out on.
• Mick took that as a challege and just to prove a point plays circles around both Robin and Nikki, a man whose a decade his senior and has years more worth of experience.
• Save to say that Nikki was suddenly not quite so cocky.
• Tommy is just in awe of this kids playing.

The Harper Family in my Total Drama high school/urban fantasy AU
As discussed in one of my previous posts, I would have my Total Drama AU make certain characters related. You see sometime ago, I decided that Ennui and Ella would be fraternal twins (though Ella will probably have been held back a year so they'll be a grade apart in the main story). I picture both of them having powers thanks to them being tied for the seventh child of their dad who is the seventh of his own siblings. Then sometime later, Totaldramarama put the idea of Ella being Gwen's cousin in my head. I actually like this idea and would like to incorporate it into my AU as well. So now, I would like to go over the 7 members of the previous Harper generation and their children.
Firstborn- Don- as the eldest of his siblings, his father, who was member of an organization that hunted down supernatural beings and he expected Don to follow in his footsteps and subjected him to intense and dangerous training; since Don had no desire to be a killer, he ran away along with his twin sister. They thought about taking some of their younger siblings with them but decided that it would be more practical to come back for them after getting jobs. He and Christine spent the first few months on the streets and in homeless shelters and during this time, one volunteers working at 1 of said homeless shelters helped Don and Christine get jobs. After they saved up enough money, Don and Christine were able to move out of the homeless shelter and into an apartment. Don then decided to briefly return to their hometown only to see that his parents and siblings no longer lived there. A neighbor then explained that shortly after he and Christine ran away, their father tried ti stab one of their younger siblings, only for their mom to act as a human shield and wound up going to the hospital. As a result, their father was arrested and sentenced to 7 years in prison, and their mother finally worked up the courage to divorce him. Content that his mother and siblings were able to get away from Mr. Harper, Don returned to his apartment. Later, Don went to college, became a teacher, got married, adopted his wife's surname, and had three kids (1 of them being a girl in the same grade as the Island cast and has Bridgette's concept design; and since Lindsay mentioned having a friends named Bitsy in the TDA episode Get a Clue, I decided that this Bitsy character will be Don's daughter). He and Christine weren't able to get back in contact with their mom and sibling until years later when he recognized one of his student's surname as his own former surname.
2nd born- Christine (Topher's mom)- Don's twin sister; while her father expected his sons to follow in his footsteps in hunting down supernatural beings, he expected his daughters to get married as soon as possible and become housewives and was quite cruel to daughters whenever they showed signs of being anything less than his idea of a perfect woman. So he had arranged for Christine to marry an apprentice of his. However, Christine had no desire to get married so young (let alone to someone her father picked out for her, so as soon as she and Don turned 18, they ran away from home. As mentioned in Don's bio, she and Don lived in a homeless shelter for a while before getting jobs and saving up enough money to move into an apartment. Sometime later, she got married and had Topher.
3rd child- Megan (Gwen's mom)
4th child- Joseph (OC brother who runs an ice cream parlor/candy store with his wife).
5th child- oc sister
6th child- possibly Emma Masterson (as in Jen Masterson's mom, I decided to make Jen and Gwen cousins)
7th child- Anthony Harper Sr (father of Marlowe, Ennui, and Ella)- having only been 6 or 8 when his father got arrested, Anthony doesn't remember his father's cruelty as clearly as his siblings do, and his mother didn't like to talk about him a lot. As a result, when his dad got out of jail when Anthony was a teenager, Anthony was the only one of his siblings willing to talk to him, and his father was able to turn him against his mother and the rest of their family. As soon as he turned 18, Anthony cut contact with his mom and siblings to join his father's supernatural-hunting organization. About a year later, he married to the daughter of one of his father's associates. He then proceeded to treat her as cruely as his father treated his mother, and generally treated her like a maid and baby factory. When he and his wife were expecting their 7th child, Anthony realized that this child would be the 7th child of a 7th child and thus would almost certainly have supernatural powers. He planned to kill the child as soon as it was born. However, his plans changed when his wife turned out to be carrying twins. Anthony wasn't sure which twin had inherited the 7th child powers, so he decided to wait a few years and planned to kill whichever twin showed signs of having powers first. The twins were then named Anthony Jr and Ella. As Anthony Jr and Ella got older, their father became increasingly cruel to them in hopes of triggering the powers of whichever twin had inherited the 7th child powers. His wife tried to protect her kids from their father's cruetly, but the strain of her multiple pregnancies (as well as her parents thwarting her attempts to leave him) made it difficult for her to do so. Since Anthony jr was his spitting image, Anthony sr had hoped it was Ella who had been the 1 who inherited the powers so that he could spare Anthony Jr. Around the time Anthony jr and Ella were 4, Anthony sr subjected Anthony jr to another beating, this time doing so while making Ella watch. Ella couldn't stand seeing her brother get hurt, her anger caused her to 7th child powers to awaken in the form of her turning into a dragon in order to protect her twin brother from their father. Anthony Sr then tried to slay his daughter and managed to use his skill to knock out Ella enough for her to lose consciosuness and revert back to her human form. Just as he was about to slay her Anthony Jr 's own 7th child powers awakened as well in the form of vampiric abilities and he used to protect Ella from their father. This caught Anthony Sr off-guard long enough for his wife to show up and protect her kids from her husband. However, since she was still recovering from the birth of her tenth child, Anthony Sr was able to overpower her and kill her. He was then arrested for murder. However, before he could be sentenced, some of his associates broke him out of prison and he became a fugitive. Anthony Sr's children were then sent to live with their maternal grandparents, but that didn't last long as they they tried to kill Anthony Jr and Ella too, only for their older brother to stop them, and their grandparents wound up getting arrested. Anthony Sr's father tried to get custody of his grandkids, but due to his criminal record, the case worker decided against this. The 10 siblings were then sent to a group foster home until the case worker tracked down their paternal grandmother and by extension, several of the children's aunts and uncles. Ella and AJ were sent to live with one of their aunt Megan while the rest of their siblings were wound living with either their paternal grandmother, their aunt Emma, or their uncle Joseph. While living with aunt Megan, his cousin Gwen introduced AJ to goth culture, which lead to AJ to start going by Ennui. Around the same time, Ella became very fond of Disney movies.
Edit: had it so that Gwen's mom was the 4th child and Jen's mom was the 3rd, but I switched their birth positions.
Edit: switched around the birth order of Emma, Joseph, and the nameless OC sister when I did the math and realized it would make more sense to make Emma one of the younger siblings considering I would still want to adapt the storyline where she has another baby when her elder daughters are already in their teens. Also added some information about the name of Don's daughter.
Edit: Emma and the OC sister might be identical twins.

Barrow Gang member: Blanche Barrow (1911 - 1988) and she really was a preacher's daughter!
Blanche was born Bennie Iva Caldwell, to a teen mother and a father more than twice his wife's age. As a toddler, her parents divorced after her mother cheated. Therefore, Blanche was raised by her father (a farmer and preacher) in Oklahoma where she regularly attended church. Blanche's relationship with her absent mother was poor from the very beginning. The relationship soured even more when Blanched dropped out of school at age 16 to start beauty school. Not happy with Blanche's independence, her mother arranges a marriage for her. A 39 year old man named John Calloway, who promised to pay them both money if she married him. Blanche was just 17 and didn't want to disappoint her mother, so she agreed.
The marriage turned out to be a disaster. Her husband was so abusive that he caused her infertility. During a visit from a friend who stopped by to say hello, she and Blanche planned an escape. Blanche's friend said she had a cousin out in West Dallas who she can stay with and Blanche fled. Once she arrived, Blanche changed her name permanently from "Iva" to "Blanche" so her husband couldn't find her. In 1929, Blanche met Buck Barrow and they began dating. Their relationship came to a stop 2 weeks later when Buck got arrested for burglary. He was to serve a 4 year sentence in prison but escaped 3 months later, unable to be away from Blanche too long. Blanche didn't agree with Buck's choices or lifestyle. The last thing she needed was more problems but she was already in love and felt safe with Buck than she did with John.
After finalizing her divorce from her husband, Blanche marries Buck in 1931. She made Buck turn himself in to finish the rest of his prison sentence in order to start their life on a clean slate. Blanche gets a job at her sister-in-law's beauty parlor in Denison, TX. 2 years later, Buck gets an early pardon and reunites with Blanche. This too was cut short. Buck's brother Clyde paid a visit with his own agenda to raid Eastham prison. Blanche objects the plan, not wanting to lose her husband so soon after he was just freed. Clyde cans his original plan and offers a new one to meet in Joplin, Missouri. Blanche's own plan to convince Clyde to go straight in Joplin falls flat after their rented apartment turns into a bloody shootout with Missouri officers. They all escaped, only Blanche had made the drastic mistake of leaving behind her purse, including camera rolls of film.
The entire country now knew what Bonnie and Clyde looked like. Blanche was doomed for being involved. There was no escape. Buck had also killed and was in it just the same as everybody. In July of 1933, Blanche was involved in another bloody shootout, only far worse. Shards of broken glass injured her left eye that left her blind in that eye for the rest of her life. To make matters worse, Buck was mortally wounded by a bullet to the head. The gang hid in a field after the shootout where cops followed them to. That was when Blanche surrendered herself with Buck. Blanche landed a 10 year sentence at the Missouri State Penitentiary for "intent to kill" but only served 6 for good behavior. Buck died 6 days later from his wounds. After prison, Blanche remarried and lived in Dallas until her death from lung cancer in 1988. She was a camera buff, loved scrapbooking, and contrary to how she was portrayed in the 1967 film, Blanche actually had a cooler head than Bonnie. She also wrote a book about her times with Bonnie and Clyde and remained lifelong friends with Bonnie's sister and her niece.

Prisoner Name: Rebecca Harking
Tumblr media
Name: Rebecca Harking
Aliases: Lucky
Age: 33
Date of Birth: April 7, 1990
Sex: F
Race: Caucasian
Height: 5’9
Eye color: Blue
Hair color: Brown
Residence: Las Vegas, Nevada
Occupation: N/A (casino hopping before the time of arrest)
Special Abilities: Has the power of luck. Can also speak any situation into existence (considered highly dangerous. Approach with caution)
Notes: It should be noted that will try to use her powers whenever necessary. We have discovered that a simple counter to these powers is to have unlucky symbols on her suppression bracelet. The bracelet must be kept on at all times.
June, 1997
“Derek’s home.”
Rebecca looked up from her reading homework. Sure enough she could see her stepdad walking up the walkway and heading to the front door of her house. “Does he look mad?”
Her brother Ryan shrugged. “He always looks mad. Ignore him if he says anything or you’ll just piss him off even more.”
Rebecca zips her mouth and throws away the imaginary key just as Derek walks in through the door. He scowls at them and tosses his jacket to the floor in the porch.
“Ugh. You’re still here?” He grumbles. He wanders into the kitchen and cracks himself a beer. “Where’s your mother?”
“We live here, stupid. And she’s at work. She took a double shift because you can’t stop spending her money that she pays the bills with.” Ryan shot his stepfather a look. “You’re still here?”
Derek took a long swig before chuckling. “You’re lucky your mom doesn’t let me smack you around. Otherwise I would. What are you looking at, goofy?”
Rebecca stiffens when Derek acknowledges her. “N-nothing. I’m just reading and doing my schoolwork.”
“Schoolwork is for sissies. People like you aren’t going to get anywhere in life working in offices or McDonald’s. Let me guess, you want to be an astronaut when you grow up?”
“You’re one to talk,” Ryan calls out from the living room. “You got a better job than mom and she still pays for everything around here. Lazy fuck-”
Rebecca covers her ears and shuts her eyes when Derek storms over and grabs her brother by the collar of his shirt. She expected to hear punches be landed but instead, opened her eyes to see them staring at each other with hatred in their eyes.
“Listen here, you little shit. Your mom and I had an agreement. She’d take care of you while I’d take care of myself-”
Ryan smacks his hand away. “Why are you even here then? Why are you even married to her if her money is all she’s good for?”
Derek backed away with a smile. “You’ll understand when you’re older, kid. A man owns a woman when they’re married. They’re your property to do as you please with them.”
Rebecca watches him go upstairs and soon hears a door close. “I hate him so much.”
Ryan sighed. “Ditto. I don’t know what mom sees in that guy. She should totally dump him.”
“I wish he was dead sometimes. Maybe he’ll fall down the stairs and break his neck one day then we’d never have to see him ever again-”
She was cut off by loud thuds coming down the stairs. For a brief moment she thought Derek had heard her and was coming down to teach her a lesson but to her surprise, that wasn’t the case. Derek did come downstairs….but just not in the way she was thinking. Both kids stared in shock as their stepfather tumbled and rolled down the stairs only to hit the bottom at a funny angle only for a sickening snap to reverberate through the small house. When Rebecca edged closer once he was still, she could see that his neck was bent in a position that it shouldn’t have been and a piece of bone was sticking out of his skin.
“Holy shit….” Ryan stumbled backwards onto the floor. “Becky, what happened?”
“I didn’t do anything! You saw me! I was here the whole time!” Rebecca cried.
“Yeah but that was lucky. Him coming down the stairs exactly the way you hoped he would. Did you tie string at the top of the stairs again?” Ryan sighed when his sister quickly shook her head. “Are you sure? Because if mom comes home and sees him like this-”
“I swear I didn’t! I was downstairs the whole time you were home, Ry. You saw me.”
Ryan sighed and glanced at their dead stepfather at the bottom of the stairs. “Mom doesn’t need to know about this. Got it? We hide the body and if she asks where he is, we say he left-”
“But his truck’s in the driveway….”
“Shit,” Ryan looked out the window. “You’re right. Look….you keep doing your homework and act like nothing happened. I’ll take care of this mess before mom comes home at 9. Can you keep a secret?”
Rebecca nodded and watched as her brother began dragging Derek’s body away from the stairs and towards the back door. When both Ryan and the old fart were out of sight, she smiled and hummed happily as she finished her book report.
December 24, 2013
“Come on, dude! It’s Christmas! A little extra wouldn’t hurt for the holidays!”
Rebecca, 23, looked her boss in the eyes and pleaded for a small bonus. Money was scarce this year and the car dealership that she worked for didn’t see as much business as usual anymore. Everyone wanted newer, better models to ride around in. Even the ones looking for secondhand (the ones that her boss sold) weren’t worth the money that he was selling them for. She had bills to pay. Mouths to feed.
“Becky Doll, I told you at the beginning of the month. I ain’t got much money left in the business. I gotta pay you and the ones that work the lot. Utilities. Other things. I can’t afford to give you a Christmas bonus this year.”
Rebecca eyeballed the big black vault in his office when he wasn’t looking. “I understand. I thought I’d try anyway. My brother is sick again and his hospital bills are piling up. But I get it. Thank you anyway though. Merry Christmas.”
Walking herself out to the bus stop, Rebecca took a seat on the bench. She knew the money excuse was bullshit. She’d seen her boss laundering cash before and even saw how much money he had hidden away in his stupid vault. No one hated him as much as she did and she secretly hoped that karma would bite him on the ass one day.
The bus was late. Rebecca pulled out her phone to check the time right when someone ran by and slipped on ice, dropping a bag in front of her. Before she could say anything, they got up and continued to run away. The bag was staring her in the face and curiosity was getting the better of her. So she picked it up and peeked inside. She nearly died of a heart attack at the bus stop.
Piles and piles of cash. All hundreds from the look of it. Rebecca had to hold back a scream of surprise as she looked down at this gift that the universe gave to her. This looked like enough money to pay off her own bills as well as her brother’s. And they’d still be able to live comfortably for the next while.
“Hey! Hey you!”
Hearing a voice, she quickly zipped up the bag and hid it inside her winter coat. Thankfully it was big enough to make it look like that was part of the design just in time as a police officer approached her, breathing heavily and seemingly tired from running.
“Ma’am, did you see someone run by here carrying a bag of sorts? Black jacket, wool hat. They just stole money from Wheeler’s Wheels just up the road and we got called in to get a jump on the guy,” the officer inhaled a deep breath before continuing. “Yeah….yeah. I can’t keep up. But have you seen him run by?”
Rebecca shook her head. “No officer. I’ve been sitting here for ten minutes by myself waiting for the bus. It’s late tonight, probably due to it being Christmas Eve. But no one ran by. Was anyone hurt?”
The cop shook his head. “Thankfully, no. But if you see anything suspicious tonight, please don’t hesitate to call us. Theft on Christmas Eve is the lowest form of crime, in my opinion.”
“So you’re okay with murder….”
“Pardon? Did you say something ma’am?”
“No, officer. Just can’t believe someone would do something like this. So disgusting….”
The officer sighed. “Well. I’ll have to tell my partner that they got away with no witnesses. That should be nice to write up in the report….you have yourself a nice Christmas, ma’am. Be safe out there.”
The bus arrived shortly after the officer left, and Rebecca couldn’t wait to get back to Ryan and tell him what happened. When it arrived at her stop, she raced into the apartment building they lived in and rushed upstairs to their place. When she burst inside with a huge smirk on her face, her brother sat up on the couch, looking confused.
“Becks….what did you do this time?” He asked through a cough.
“I didn’t do anything this time. Well….that’s kind of a lie. I silently hoped my boss would get some long overdue karma and he got exactly that tonight.” She dumped the contents of the bag on the table between them. “There’s thousands here, Ry. I can pay your bills off completely.”
Ryan sighed. “Did you do the thing?”
“....what thing?”
“You know. That weird thing where you speak something into existence. You know. You’ve done it a thousand times before.”
Rebecca snorted. “I thought you’d be happy. I can get you your medicine with this and pay off the hospital. Maybe even treat us to a little something. But to answer your question, no. I didn’t do the thing. At least not out loud.”
Ryan shot her a look. “Not out loud? Since when could you do it silently? Is this new?”
“I don’t fucking know, Ryan. I don’t even know how it works. I don’t even know where I got this power from. I’m just lucky I suppose-” She paused for a moment. “Lucky. I’m Lucky.”
Ryan raised an eyebrow. “Oh no. Please don’t tell me that you’re going to do this again, Becky. You’ll get caught eventually.”
“Not if I have anything to say about it,” Rebecca pecked her brother on the cheek. “Now come on. Let’s get some of that expensive Chinese food that you love so much. My treat.”
August 12, 2020
The following is a transcript of an interview taken with two agents and the prisoner Rebecca Harking, aka Lucky. This is a part of the quarterly interviews that take place to recruit new candidates for Amanda Waller’s “Suicide Squad”. Please note that Harking’s suppression bracelet is activated for this interview as well as during her sentence at Belle Reve for the safety of herself and others. But mainly others.
Agent Shaw: Are we recording?
Agent Bellend: Yup. You can start
Agent Shaw: Alright. Hello, Rebecca. I’m Agent Shaw and this is my partner Agent Shaw. How are you doing today?
Rebecca: Spare me the bullshit, Shaw. This isn’t my first rodeo. Just do what you gotta do so I can go back to my cell
Agent Shaw: Wow, okay. Uh, so you know why you’re here today I’m presuming. To get screened for-
Rebecca: Yeah, yeah. I know. Screened for the stupid Suicide Squad. I know all about that merry band of assholes. Let me guess, the other crew are dead?
Agent Shaw: Some are, yes. But not all of them. Waller is looking for new recruits for a new mission in the future. For the time being, she wants to seek out potential candidates
Rebecca: Interesting. And she thinks my skill set has potential?
Agent Bellend: She doesn’t think. She knows
Rebecca: But do you know, Agents? Have you read my file before coming in today?
Agent Shaw; We did. It’s….impressive, to say the least
Agent Bellend: Can you really manipulate luck? Influence how things work out for you?
Agent Shaw: Bellend-
Agent Bellend: What? I’m curious. I could use a bit of luck in my life like that….
Rebecca: Would you like to find out, Bellend? Take this bracelet off me and find out
Agent Shaw: Nice try, Harking. You know that’s on you for a reason. Now back to our interview. You know you’re in here for a screening. If you were given the chance to join Waller’s team for some years to be taken off your sentence, would you do it?
Rebecca: For a shorter sentence? Maybe. Would I only just get thrown back in here if I commit the same crimes once I’m out anyway?
Agent Bellend: Uh….we’ll get back to you on that. But a shorter sentence is better than 50 years, isn’t it?
Rebecca: Hmm. As long as I don’t have to work with that weird shark guy. He gives me the creeps. All sharks do actually. Have you seen Jaws? I heard that they watched it over in the men’s cells and he laughed at it. Thought it was hilarious
Agent Bellend: Focus, Rebecca. Please. Next question. Have you ever used your abilities for your own personal gain?
Rebecca: [laughs] Would I be in here if I didn’t? Of course I did. I lived in fucking Vegas before I was caught and thrown in here. I’m no saint
Agent Shaw: Have you ever manipulated others?
Rebecca: Yes
Agent Shaw: Have you ever used your powers on your brother?
Rebecca: ….don’t bring him up
Agent Shaw: I don’t see why we can’t. It’s right there on your file. It says you killed him-
Rebecca: I SAID DON’T TALK ABOUT HIM!
Agent Bellend: Why did you do it though?
Rebecca: It was….stupid. We had an argument and I let my emotions get the better of me. I told him to drop dead and he….he did. It was a mistake that I wish I could go back and change
Agent Shaw: You didn’t mean to kill him
Rebecca: Fuck no. I loved my brother. He protected me our whole lives. The least I could do to pay him back was use my powers to make our life easier. Jobs weren’t paying what I felt we deserved. So I took to the casinos where I knew I could use them to my full advantage
Agent Shaw: And was he okay with this?
Rebecca: Not at first, no. But I promised him it wouldn’t be a daily thing and he agreed to that. But I became addicted to winning and eventually people at the casinos caught on. Once I was banned, that’s when my brother got angry. Called me reckless. I told him that it was my powers that kept a roof over our heads. Put food on the table. He didn’t like that. So he began to yell at me some more and before I could control my words, I said the thing to him. Next thing I know, he’s on the floor. Dead
Agent Bellend: And then you got arrested?
Rebecca: I turned myself in, you mean. I might be a thief but I’m no monster. I know what I did was wrong and I couldn’t live with the guilt. If you accidentally killed your brother, you would’ve done the same thing
Agent Shaw: You turned yourself in instead of going on the run? You could’ve easily avoided authorities with what you’re capable of
Rebecca: Like I said. I’m no monster, Agent Shaw
Voice on overhead speaker: Don’t be fooled by her, Agents. She murdered her brother with a kitchen knife and ran with the money. Her powers don’t work when she’s asleep. That’s her only flaw
Rebecca: What the fuck, man?! They were totally falling for my story!
Agent Bellend: I almost felt bad for her too….
Agent Shaw: This wasn’t mentioned in her file, Waller
Voice on overhead speaker: Typos happen. I’ll be sure to add it to her file once this interview is over since I finally got her to admit to it
Rebecca: What? You tricked me!
Voice on overhead speaker: You’re the only one that can fool people, Harking. Now wrap this up gentlemen. I got everything I needed here today
Agent Shaw: Uh, sure. No problem. Wrap this up, Bellend. Did you get all that on the tape?
Agent Bellend: Yeah I got it. Didn’t realize this was a confession tape we were doing today
Agent Shaw: I’m sure that’s not the strangest thing we’ll record while we’re here. Agent Shaw and Bellend signing off. Session one ended

Hey there, buddy! I really hope that you knee surgery went well, and that you’ll be over the worst of the pain as soon as possible. Stay comfy and rest well. If you are not too swamped with requests, would you mind if I shoot one? Would you be able to write for Shannon O’Reily falling for a woman? Perhaps someone she initially believes to be a cute guy, only to find that she is a cute butch, and how she deals with that?
Y’all are so kind!❤️😭 Yeah it’s been… not fun. But you all delivered and I have a decent amount of requests (though I’m always hoping for more🥰) to help me take my mind off the pain. They’re all FUN requests too. I love this fandom’s creativity.
Before I write any of the characters, I track down all their scenes and watch them all to understand the character. I could see Shannon being a late in life lesbian. (Y’all don’t know much about me but I’m an early in life lesbian😂 Pansexual technically but I only seem to like fictional men and irl women lol) Sooo without further ado, I give you all;
(Also totally not basing this on the married woman I’m in love with at work and my girlfriend -open relationship- with a butch mullet… anyhoo…)
Shannon O’Reily Sullivan falling for a Butch Lesbian…
Tumblr media
Fuck him. Real goddamn lowlife.
Shannon lit a cigarette between two trembling fingers. So he’d stay with her through high school, through infertility, through prison… but cancer was where he drew the line?
Prick. Real goddamn prick.
It’s not like she hadn’t been supportive. Like she hadn’t been up every night searching the internet for cancer treatments and the antioxidant smoothies and shit. Not like she’d been making a thousand phone calls to a thousand doctors to see if she couldn’t scrape together a better treatment than they’d give him in prison.
Shannon released the smoke in her lungs, but not the anger in her heart. She’d loved him. Actually loved him. And the first doctor who shook her tits in front of him stole him away. She puffed on the cigarette liked it’d be her last.
Now here she was, back in the city. Cyril was at his cousin’s now. Or someone’s. She’d actually miss that doofus. The way he watched her while she did her makeup and giggled whenever a certain blue dog got mail.
Now she had no one and nothing. Nothing of her old life. She’d left it all for him, and he’d left her for Dr. Nathan.
Fuck. She needed a drink.
She stopped off in some pub, she didn’t really read the sign. She plopped down on one of the barstools and flagged down the bartender.
“Whisky. Straight. Double.”
The bartender chuckled a little, and pushed back his hair.
“Sounds like you’ve had a day.”
“Don’t know the half of it, buddy.” She rasped, fingers reaching for another cigarette. The bartender held out a light. She looked him over. Cute features. Dark eyes. Kind of a feminine jaw if not for the masculine brows and piercings.
“Aren’t you the gentleman.” She said, sourly. “If my husband… ex-husband were anything like you, I wouldn’t be here.” 😅
“Hmm, wouldn’t have even had to ask if it was a rough day if you’d just lead with that.” He chucked a little, and flagged the other bartender to watch his checks. He poured her drink and handed it to her, and she shot it back, holding it in her mouth for a second so she could feel the burn. She made a gesture to fill it again. So he did. She threw it back again, just as effortlessly as the first, when she made the motion again, he stopped her.
“A better man isn’t at the bottom of this bottle, hon.”
Shannon got angry. Yet someone else dictating her life. The bartender seemed to understand this, so added;
“Just sit with it for a few seconds. I’m not saying I won’t serve you, just… pace yourself.” 🥲
After a second of silence, he asked,
“Who’s this shit ex?”
Shannon felt the tears well up in her eyes so she explained everything. The marriage. The infertility. The brother. The arrest. The cancer. Everything just came spilling out as she sobbed. Her head was starting to spin. She felt a hand on hers, a little bigger than her own.
“Sorry, hon. Sounds like a real piece of work. Still, he’s in pain and scared right now. Could be that. I’m not saying go back to him or anything, but… I’m saying it’s not you.”
She sniffs and drinks the water the guy pours for her.
“The real shitty part. The part that sucks more than anything else… I actually loved the bastard.”
“That’s always the kicker, isn’t it. You actually love them and then they do something that makes you feel like they were fooling you. You feel silly, and small.”
She sniffed, wiping at her mascara.
“What bitch broke your heart?”
He laughed at her bluntness and reflected.
“Emily. Sweet girl. Beautiful girl. Though… she would always do this thing where if something was funny she’d actually said “wait that’s so funny”. Every time. Like it was just occurring to her.”
They both laughed. Shannon’s fingers stopped trembling.
“Ryan once complained that it was cold but he hated wearing socks to bed so the idiot literally cut the toe off the sock.”😂
Shannon and the bartender laugh for ten minutes about their past relationships. For just ten minutes, she got to remember and forget that bastard all at once. 🙂
“Sorry, I never got your name.” Shannon giggled, head starting to spin.
“Natalie.”
“…what.”
Shannon’s head popped up and she really looked at her bartender closely. That feminine jaw started looking a lot more suspicious, even if the mullet had thrown her off. And the lashes a little too long. Lips a little too full… oh god.
“Youre a chick?” She almost accused. The bartender seemed confused.
“Last time I checked, yeah.”
“But… your ex girlfriend?”
“Yeah?”
Shannon hadn’t been living under a rock. She’d heard about lesbians. She’d just never met one so frank. She grabbed her bag, embarrassed.
“Im sorry I thought you were… someone else.”🥸
She rushes out of the bar, only to hear a voice call after her.
“I’m sorry, Shannon!”
She sighed in the doorway and turned around and went back.
“I’m sorry, honey. I’m a little turned around right now.” She said to Natalie, who just gave a sad smile.
“You’re okay. Just kind of thought you knew.”
“Well, I didn’t. You… don’t exactly look traditionally feminine.”
“Yeah, worked on that for years.” Natalie responded.
Shannon laughed.
“If I may ask… what’s the draw?” Shannon leaned forward and whispered. Natalie leaned forward too, and whispered back.
“First of all, I don’t know why we’re whispering. You’re the only one here who didn’t know I’m gay.”
Shannon snickered and went to light another cigarette. Natalie outstretched a lit lighter.
“Second, I don’t know. I just saw guys in their clothes and thought it looked comfortable. Put em on, and suddenly I just felt like myself.”
“So, you like being confused with a guy?”
“I like being me. If other people confuse me with a man, I’ll just correct them. Although…”
“Although?” Shannon asked, sipping on her water again.
“Its not like I haven’t used he/him pronouns before. Sometimes the girl isn’t ready to be with someone super feminine, sometimes I have to pretend to be a guy in public just so we aren’t harassed.”
“Jesus.” Shannon was playing with her long nails.
“That’s also kind of a no no.” The woman gestured to her nails.
“You’re not allowed to look great as a lesbian?”
Natalie tells Shannon the history of lesbian culture that she needs to know. Doc martins and plaid and all that.
“Too bad.” Shannon mentions into her promised third whiskey. Natalie asks what she means.
“Too bad you’re a woman, I mean.” Shannon smiled. “I’ve liked talking to you, Natalie.
“You can keep talking to me even though I’m a woman, y’know.”
“I’m not a lesbian.”
“You don’t have to be a lesbian to talk to a lesbian. We can still hang if you want. Promise I’ll get no ungentlemanly ideas.”
Shannon agrees.
They get coffee with each other before work every day. It’s a lot of Shannon badmouthing Ryan but sometimes they talk about other things.
They start hanging out at nights at each other’s homes. They start watching shows together. Start ordering food for each other.
Shannon is crying one day when Natalie gets there.
“What’s going on, hon?”
Shannon explains that she has to give Ryan the divorce paperwork to sign and go over everything.
“I can’t face him. Not him and his new woman.”
“…you could always take me.”
Natalie explains to Shannon that she can pretend to be her new girlfriend for the paperwork. Just so that Ryan doesn’t pull any shit about her not having anyone.
“I’ve done this for a few of my straight friends. Guys have fewer questions when their woman shows up with a woman.”
Shannon agrees, taking Natalie up with her to go see Ryan.
He’s shamelessly flirting with Dr. Nathan, who is doing her best to ignore him. Natalie leads Shannon in by her hand.
“Ryan.”
“Shannon.” He acknowledged her as coolly as she did him. He notices Natalie over her shoulder.
“Who’s the dyke?”
Shannon’s face burned.
“This is Natalie. She’s been a lot of help since the divorce.” Shannon throws the papers down at Ryan. “Just give me the house. Not like you’re gonna use it any time soon anyway.”
“Fine.” Ryan starts to sign. His eyes keep getting drawn up towards Natalie, who’s stroking her arm softly. “Oh, I see.”
“I’m betting you’re wrong.”
“No, it’s just that it usually takes women a lot longer to go lez.”
“You’re a pig.”
“Nah, I think I got this figured out.”
“You certainly do,” Natalie jumped in, “if you’re implying your dick put her off men in general.”
Shannon laughed and covered her mouth. She’d spoken back to Ryan dozens of times, but never like that.
Ryan’s face goes red. He signs the forms.
“Yeah yeah, just take the butch and leave.”
Shannon is giggling and holding Natalie’s arm the entire way out.
“The look on his face!” Shannon shrieked, throwing her head back to laugh again. “And I got the house! All thanks to you, Nat.”
“Thanks, Shannon, but that was all you-“
Shannon feels her lips on Natalie’s before she even realizes it was her that leaned forward.
“I… I’m sorry. I don’t know what came over me.”
“…you’re good.” Natalie responds with a smile. Shannon catches herself staring again.
“I’m just all turned around right now.”
“That’s okay too.”
“I didn’t mean to-“
“Shannon, it’s okay. I’m here if you want a friend. I’d be lying if I said I wouldn’t settle for more. I’ve just learned my lesson getting my hopes up on straight women.”
Shannon thinks for a second, chuckling darkly into her cigarette.
“Why don’t we though?”
“Hmm?”
“Why don’t we go out?”
“… if I’ve not been grossly misinformed thus far, it’s because you’re straight.”
“Am I? I think you’re funny, and sweet, and cute. We get coffee. We call each other over on bad nights. We do everything lovers do except we don’t call it that. Why don’t we just call it that then, if that’s the only thing we’re missing. I don’t know if I’m gay. I just know that if you were a man, I’d have no doubts. So it’s worth a try at least.”
Natalie doesn’t know how to respond. She felt herself falling for a straight woman again.
But Natalie can’t say no to those intense eyes.
Natalie crept a hand around Shannon’s.
“Let’s try it then.”
Shannon was right, they were basically living as lovers.
Natalie would come over with food for Shannon after a bad day. Not that box of chocolates and champagne shit. Natalie brings a gallon of chocolate milk and some cheese its. Soul food.
Shannon gets her period on a date and gets embarrassed.
“Babe, c’mon.”
Natalie makes her a makeshift heat pack and orders tacos.
“Can you go to the store and get me some tampons?”
“…I could do that. Or you could just use mine.”😂
Shannon isn’t butch but is intrigued when her closet just doubled in size. She also likes to dress Natalie.
Natalie is decked out, head to toe in a little black dress and heels.
“Get this off of me, Shanna Banana.”
“You look like my own personal Barbie!”
She comes along physically. The kisses are first. Then some light petting. Then more intense and sexual acts.
“Huh.”
“Yeah?”
“Just realized I’m physically attracted to you.”
“…yay?”
Shannon asks a lot of questions starting with “do lesbians ______?”
Natalie pretends it’s a game show.
“Can this baby gay determine if lesbians are capable of doing something, more after these messages.”
Natalie introduces her to girl showers/baths.
“Even the butchiest butch knows how to set up a good bath for her girl.”
They get a Polaroid and just take pictures of each other to hang around the house.
Historians will say they were best friends.
Shannon still doesn’t get that joke.
They adopt a dog together. Duke the Great Dane.
They love their big tired boy.
Shannon loves going shopping with Natalie. Natalie doesn’t like it as much as Shannon does, but she gets the feeling Ryan wasn’t very supportive of things she liked.
You watch Baseball together. Yankees mostly.
Shannon just likes yelling at the ref.
She finally gets to try making new food. Ryan was a picky eater and Cyril even more so -but she doesn’t blame Cyril for any of that.
Finally gets to try that Romanian place everyone was fussing over.
Shannon likes legos. Likes building the flower models for around the house. She starts building everything they need; pencil holders, jewelry boxes, even a fruit bowl.
She never needs Natalie’s help speaking up for herself again. Shannon’s a tough, Irish bitch. Do something wrong and she’ll let you know.
For the first time in a long time, Shannon was happy. Really happy.
She’d become happy she’d been forced into a divorce. She’d never have met Natalie.
Turned out she was worth it to someone. Just one person. And that’s all she needed. ❤️
Bonus: Shannon’s breakup song with Ryan is No Children, by the Mountain Goats. She sings it at the top of her lungs during karaoke. She always hits the line “I hope that if I found the strength to walk out, you’d stay the hell out of my way” a little harder.

Crimes That Shook Britain (North East)
Tumblr media
John Darwin In March 2002, John Darwin, 51, paddled out to sea in his canoe near his Hartlepool home. He never returned Coastguard rescue teams and police searched for him, but all they found was Darwin's paddle.
Several weeks later, the wreckage of his canoe washed up on a beach. With no body found by April 2003, John Darwin was declared dead. His widow Anne and their two sons grieved. Until December 2007 - when Darwin walked into a police station, claiming to have amnesia.
John Darwin was reunited with his sons and Anne, who'd moved to Panama, was delighted. Only, a pjoto emerged of Anne and John in Panama, together in 2006. The couple had actually faked John's death to claim his £250,000 life insurance.
Both Darwins were jailed for over six years - him for obtaining cash by deception, her for deception and money laundering.
Tumblr media
Michael Atherton New Year's Day 2012 - taxi driver Michael Atherton, 42, shot dead his partner Susan McGoldrick, 47, her sister Alison Turnbull, 44, and niece Tanya Turnbull, 24, at his home in Peterlee. He then turned the gun on himself.
His stepdaughter survived after fleeing via a window. It emerged Atherton had a history of domestic violence. He blamed Alison for his arrest in 2008, after a row. When he discovered Susan had gone out with her sister that night, he said there'd be trouble if he saw Alison at his home. He said he'd stay in a hotel.
Yet the women arrived home before he'd left. A row erupted and Atherton got his gun from the car.

Mary Bell On 25 May 1968, the day before her 11th birthday, Mary Bell strangled Martin Brown, 4. His body was found in a derelict house in Newcastle.
Two months later, Mary enlisted a 13-year-old friend to help strangle Brian Howe, 3. His mutilated body was found on waste ground. When detectives questioned local children, Mary and her friend acted strangely, their stories changing. Officers soon realised Mary was a killer.
The friend was acquitted and gave evidence against Mary. The court heard Mary committed the crimes 'for the pleasure and excitement of killing'. Mary Bell was convicted of manslaughter on the grounds of diminished responsibility. She was sentenced to life in detention, released aged 23, and given a new identity.
Tumblr media
Raoul Moat Two days after being released from prison on 3 July 2010, Raoul Moat, 37, from Newcastle, went on the rampage with a sawn-off shotgun.
First he shot his ex Samantha Stobbart and her new partner Chris Brown. While on the run in Rothbury, Moat shot police officer David Rathboand in the face. Brown was killed, Stobbart injured and PC Rathboand blinded.
Police deployed armed officers in one of Britain's biggest manhunts. In a letter left with a friend, Moat declared war on officers, saying that he wouldn't stop 'until I am dead'. On 9 July, police tracked Moat to the river Coquet, leading to a stand-off. Police negotiated, but Moat shot himself the next morning.
Sadly, David Rathboand later took his own life.
Tumblr media
Billy Dunlop - Double Jeopardy Pizza delivery girl Julie Hogg, 22, disappeared in November 1989. Eighty days later, her mother Ann found her decomposing, partially mutilated body behind a bath panel in Ann's Billingham home.
Julie's ex Billy Dunlop was charged with murder, yet juries at two trials failed to reach a verdict. He was cleared. The double jeopardy law (which meant Dunlop could not be tried again) meant he thought he'd got away with murder for 17 years.
Ann fought for double jeopardy laws to be scrapped and, in 2003. MPs backed changes allowing serious cases with compelling new evidence to be reopened. Dunlop pleaded guilty to murder in 2006, was jailed for life.
Tumblr media
Gary Vinter = Freed to Kill Again Gary Vinter killed colleague Carl Edon, 22, in a railway workers' cabin in 1995. Vinter stabbed him 37 times, puncturing every organ. He was jailed for life, but released in 2006, after serving 10 years.
In July 2006, he married Anne White. But Vinter was recalled to prison after a New Year pub brawl. Released again in early 2008, he separated from Anne after attacking her at their home in Eston, Middlesbrough. That February, Vinter bundled his estranged wife into a car.
After holding her hostage at his mother's house, he stabbed Anne to death. He was jailed for life. In 2011, Vinter attacked Roy Whiting - killer of schoolgirl Sarah Payne - in jail.
In 2016, he received a third life sentence for trying to murder fellow 'life' Lee Newell behind bars.

aaaand part 3 of the ex-spouse series
Let's talk about Louise
After the unremarkable marriage that was his relationship with North, Kerry went back to his old ways for a time. Having fun, dating and sleeping around, while trying to be a present-enough father figure for his daughter.
For over 20 years, he went through several relationships. Some were serious, but most left him with a bad taste in his mouth and a resentment toward the other person.
He would meet and start dating Louise Nordin in 2054 while she was working as a model in Denmark. They dated long distance for two years and Kerry would invite Louise to move in with him on their third anniversary. He could see this was going places, and he was cautiously looking forward to taking things further.
He loved Louise's similar boisterous energy to his own. They could party, they could make all jaws drop in formal events for each other's careers, and they could talk to each other about anything. Kerry genuinely believed he'd met his one. He was able to talk to her about Johnny, about Derry. About how he hadn't treated his first wife that well, and Louise provided insight of how Zoh might've been feeling.
Despite what she heard, though, she didn't turn away. Kerry valued that. Not everyone could even begin to handle the trucktons of baggage that came with Kerry Eurodyne.
After 5 years of dating, they married in 2059. They lived blissfully alone together until April 28th, 2063 when their son, Theodore Nordin Eurodyne was born. Kerry's only son. And things were still good, but cracks would begin to form soon enough.
Drugs and alcohol took hold again during a particularly bad pass of the anniversary of Derry's, and then Johnny's, death. Kerry was spending more time away from home after Louise reluctantly retired for the sake of raising their son, because she and Kerry both hated the idea of their children being primarily raised by nannies.
In the midst of the conflict, the arguing, and trying to fix things, Kerry and Louise's daughter was born. Kimberly Nordin Eurodyne was born on December 1st, 2069. Kerry tried to clean up his act for the sake of his kids, but found that was far easier said than put into actions.
Kerry would catch Louise cheating in mid-2070, and that really sent him off on a war path. He'd cheat on her in return, out of revenge more than anything concrete. Kerry and Louise "patched things up," but he had a feeling she was still cheating after that point. He'd never question whether Kim was his. Whether she was actually or not, she was always going to be his.
It all came to a head, however, when Kerry was arrested for drug possession, assaulting a police officer, and public indecency in 2071. He was sentenced to 15 months in prison, where Kerry would only receive one visit from Louise and their children before being served divorce papers.
Ever since Kerry got out of prison, things have been shit with Louise. She got some of his cars, his home in Tokyo, and worst of all: full custody of the kids. He guessed he couldn't blame her there. Kerry was unstable, and honestly? He didn't want the kids to see him while his mental health was deteriorating. It sure as hell wouldn't help when Louise would occasionally dangle the kids in front of his face in her worst moments, but Kerry rarely had the fight left in him to argue with her too much about it.
And yet, despite all of the bullshit since they finalized the divorce in 2072, Kerry still loved her. If he hadn't fucked it all up, he felt like he could've been with her for the rest of his days.

Am I (65F) the asshole for refusing to pay for the wedding of son Tony (fake name 29M) and his fiancé Carl (19M) after we paid for the wedding of his younger brother Milo (22M) and his wife Julie (21F) last year. Last year when my younger son Milo got married, my soon-to-be ex husband and I paid $10,000 toward his wedding. He and his wife Julie had been dating since the end of freshman year of high school and we've known her family for even longer; they practically grew up together! And while I would never try to intentionally push my son's toward a specific partner, I'm glad her chose her. Their relationship is as healthy as can be and they're extremely compatible. Everything was going fine until 5 months ago when my older son Tony came to us asking us to contribute $10,000 to his wedding. We were taken aback as we had previously been unaware that he had a partner. We knew he was gay so his partner being male wasn't a shock; but what was a shock was the age of his partner. We initially told him we needed to hold off on deciding one way or another until we met his partner. We were introduced to Carl for the first time 6 weeks ago and it turns out that not only is he 10 years younger than my son, but they've been 'dating' 🤮 off and on for 4 years (keep in mind this would've meant that this guy was 15 and my son was 25)! When his father and I learned of this situation we immediately shut down any hope he had of us funding or taking any part in his wedding. When he asked why we both told him it was disgusting what he was doing and that he's lucky we didn't report him for this (he was also his fiancés English teacher).  I'm conflicted on if I'm handling this right.
My family is torn over this; some people think I'm the asshole for giving my son's unequal treatment due to their choice of partners while others think I'm not the asshole for standing my ground.
Edit 1: this has really blown up. So I wanted to add some things to clarify.
1. Yes Milo got another girl pregnant 2 months ago. His wife doesn't know yet, she's sterile due to childhood illness so this could be our only chance to have a biological grandchild.
2. Tony claims he and Carl haven't had sex yet and are waiting for the wedding night but I don't know if I believe them
3. Carl is a trans man (read: he used to be female) and his birth name is Carly.
Edit 2: gonna say this one last time
I DIDNT KNOW IT WAS OFFENSIVE TO ACKNOWLEDGE TRANS PEOPLE'S BIRTH NAMES!!!!!!!
Edit 3: one more thing about Tony
1. He and Carl have apparently both accused each other of domestic violence in the past.
Edit 4: OKAY LAST UPDATE AND THEN I'M MUTING NOTIFICATIONS ON THIS ACCOUNT.
I have not given anyone permission to share this story on other social media. Please stop putting it on tiktok, Instagram, and especially not Facebook. If you do this I'll sue! Also just to let everyone know; Julie got expelled from her school (a community college 🤮) and arrested and is facing time in prison time for harassing and cyberstalking this girl my son got pregnant.
Edit 5: both my son's and each of their partners have seen this post and both relationships have broken up. I hope you're all happy with destroying a healthy marriage of two soul mates because you care more about the ethics of monogamy than you do about carrying on a rare bloodline!
And I'm like yeah ESH. You're not an asshole in the way that I expected but you're still very much the asshole and probably an asshole in your everyday life from the sound of it. You're not the only one though. I'm pretty sure everyone here is an asshole except for maybe Carl. Tony for dating his own underage student (regardless of whether the relationship has been consummated or not). Milo for cheating on his own so called "soulmate". Julie for attacking a girl who her husband had impregnated instead of going after him; I'm not able to tell from this post but for all we know this other woman had no clue that he was married.
Tumblr media
