Remembering when you almost named him Basil….i was rooting for it

It was a GOOD ASS NAME!!! But when we thought of the name Hugo, my organic reaction was to go "(gasp) omgggg... Hugo..." so it had to be that name. ALSO, I feel like Basil didn't suit his face quite right. ALSO, when I mentioned this name on tumblr, about 20 people piped up going "that's my cat/dog/rabbit/etc's name too!" so I had to let it pass

#My favorite name on the list was actually in the girl name side (before we stumbled across Hugo as an option)#which was Juniper #I think it's a GREAT name for a golden #I don't know what my future looks like tbh I didn't think I'd be alive This long in the first place but I think it'd be nice to get #another golden down the line #preferably a goil #and then I can use that name #it's got great options for nicknames. talkin bout JUNEBUG? forget about it #sergle answers

Some small details for a character learning sword fighting for the first time:

- sore wrists

- blisters on hands

- every movement opens you up to be hit

- they will hit the tops of their arm and own sides with the sword while learning

- there is a primal sixth sense when you know you’re being toyed with

And, for your typically nonviolent characters.

You don’t aim for the swords. You aim for the person holding the sword.

It sounds so obvious but needs to be accepted. Actively. When holding a sword you have to understand you’re attacking another person. Even to block you have to aim your blocks at the other person or they won’t be strong enough to actually protect yourself.

framing L involves setting up an elaborate murder scene with preset evidence where L is in precisely the wrong spot at the wrong time. L of course anticipated this

the detective character is soichiro, but the real detective character for most of the game is his son light who is a very helpful young man and in fact is the one making most of the contributions

L is ostensibly a detective character too but he mostly just shows up, licks some evidence, blinks at you, and fades out. until he gets arrested

the prosecutor is still miles edgeworth. consider the following:

edgeworth: we have security footage of the defendant holding the murder weapon, at the time of the murder, standing directly in front of the victim, using the weapon on the victim, and then the victim dies

phoenix: okay... but... what if there was a magic notebook

I don't care if you're not out yet, it doesn't have to be about trans stuff.

But please please please start practicing asking people for things. Start speaking up when someone says something you don't like. If something doesn't work for you SAY IT instead of just letting it happen.

Yes, it will be hard, but the sooner you start doing it, the better

You can start now and make progress, because even stuff as simple as "I don't like being called dude", "no tomato on my burger please", "I appreciate the thought but I don't like this shirt"

ANYTHING

Because once you get to the point where you really need to start saying "Hey my name is actually *Blank*" or "Oh I use She/Her, I don't like getting they/them'd"

That practice will help so much. Because unfortunately you can't just "wait until the hormones have taken effect so I just look like a girl and then they'll just do it"

Some people will, sure, but alot of family and friends, even if they're not being malicious and are supportive, won't think things have to change.

You will have to tell people important to you that things have changed and they need to treat you differently. You will have to tell people who are basically strangers how you want to be treated.

So start now, practice taking up space
