"uh trans women all just bounce between relationships" well you see among other factors, our society is structured in a way that means being single as a trans woman (in spite of the risks of dating as a trans woman) is not very fun or safe and especially being a single trans woman who lives on her own.

fuck it, posting this reblog as its own post
TME drag queens who are asked to speak about or on behalf of trans women have a moral & ethical obligation to refuse. it is not their place.
feminist men in academia articulated a rule a long time ago now that you do not and cannot accept a speaking gig (panel, conference, lecture series, etc) where only men have been asked to speak, out of protest for your woman colleagues.
white people have a similar obligation not to participate when colleagues of color are excluded.
it is high time that TME queers applied the same rule to "trans" spaces or events that include no trans women, "queer" spaces or events that include no trans women, or moments when TME queer people are asked to speak about issues that primarily affect trans women. you are talking over us, talking for us, and condoning our exclusion.

The Nopon from Xenoblade are the funniest fucking species of cutesy creatures in any RPG because they're all a bunch of assholes. You look at their adorable little faces and think they're innocent and kind. No!! They have jobs! They have children! They fuck!!!
They have an entire village tradition where they designate one Nopon to be the village's hero, except it's all bullshit and they're just sending their most problematic villager to go get killed in battle so they stop being a pain in the ass.
There's several side quests where a Nopon will ask you go to kill a family of wild animals for no reason other than it's annoying them. There's an entire underground drug cartel in the Nopon village.
Nopon should be an example for other rpgs on how to make the funniest npcs.

Truck drivers in Michigan have for years smashed into an undersized bridge called The Big Penny. Normal warning signs have not deterred drivers from wedging dozens of trucks into its hungry maw.
So they put eyes and teeth on the bridge, in part as a further deterrent.

I want to remind you that just simply being visibly trans in public is an act of protest.
If you can safely be out and visible, that's the biggest fuck you that can be given to them.
Having us be hidden from sight again is what they want. And it just simply can't be done anymore with how much more visible trans people have become.
I need to emphasize the "If you can do it safely" be that only when you're with others, or depending on the area. If it's safe at school vs in town.
Don't put yourself in danger.
But, to those who can, myself included, fucking don't let them scare you back into the closet.
I'm moving soon, but my job right now is at a convenient store in a rural town in VT (admittedly a Blue state, but still a rural area) and I'm not suddenly going to stop wearing eyeliner, or shirts that show my tits, or talking in my fem voice.
There's transphobic ass holes, but the worst they do is misgender me and just look like a fucking idiot as a result.
I also carry bear spray in my purse that way once I'm off work if I have to wait for a ride I can defend myself. I've never had to use it, but it's part of what let's me feel safe.
So, be safe, and don't fucking let them hide you away from society like they want. The more outwardly queer people there are, the safer a space it becomes for them
