The Academy of Simmy Picture Arts and Sciences (ASPAS, also known as the Academy or the Simmy Picture Academy) is a professional honorary organization in Del Sol Valley, United States of Americreek, with the stated goal of advancing the arts and sciences of simmy pictures.
The Academy is known around the world for its annual Academy Awards, now officially and popularly known as "The Olivias". Princess Lara and her husband Prince Anthony, grandson of Leona Basse, attended the 84th annual Academy Awards.
It was no doubt a poignant moment for Anthony, remembering his grandmother nearly 30 years after her death. The occasion also marked the royal couples first oversees trip since announcing their pregnancy.
Since its inception in 1924, the likes of Oasis Springs' Princess Akima of Monaco and of course Anthony's grandmother have attended - the latter scooping the Best Actress award in 1965 for her role in The Country Lady - plus there have been several royal appearances at the glitziest Olivia parties.
Before marrying his maternal grandfather, the famed Windenburg illustrator Emmanuel Addie, Leona Basse accepted her Best Actress award at the 1965 ceremony, which was also held at the Garwin Theatre in Del Sol Valley.
Above, she is photographed with fellow actor Harry Belatiér, who won Best Actor for his performance in The Barefoot Bride the same year. Just a month later, she would move to Windenburg and marry Addie.
In 1966, the actress did not return to award that year's Best Actor award, as is customary, due to being pregnant and unable to fly overseas.
Walking the red carpet, the Countess of Boykins wore a stunning pale-blue gown by designer @rustys-cc, with short sleeves and pleated detailing. Here, the gorgeous silhouette can be seen, as well as Lara's elegant up-do.
A close-up of the royal's beautiful aquamarine diamond earrings (a gift from Prince Anthony), clutch, and her glowing beauty. Her Royal Highness was thought to have taken inspiration from her late grandmother-in-law's own red carpet style, since she often styled her hair in a similar shape.
At this year's ceremony, Silver Screen Icon, Dame Dorothy Dunbridge CWE received an Honorary Award. The 91 year old Windenburg actress attained international stardom and critical acclaim in both musical and dramatic roles, as a recording artist, and on the concert stage with a career spanning seven decades.
Dunbridge was one of the most popular stars of classical Simmywood cinema in the 1950s. Best friend to Leona Basse, she is also godmother to both Prince Anthony and his mother.
The Academy's Honorary Award is given to honor extraordinary distinction in lifetime achievement, exceptional contributions to the state of simmy picture arts and sciences, or for outstanding service to the Academy.

if I got into the actual lyrics of "I, Carrion (Icarion)" I would literally just type out every line with a bunch of sobbing emoji after it SO! we're gonna be good little orchestra kids and analyze the actual melody bc that kills me dead also
bc like. firstly. for a song about Icarus's moment of perfect ecstasy as he falls to the sea, not even knowing he fell, god damn does the overall sound capture the moment of perfect ecstasy as he falls to the sea, not even knowing he fell. I've been enamored with that sort of suspended-as-time-slows, reaching-for-the-dappled-sun feel for years now - I did a whole art project based around it in college, even. so the way the song is so peaceful, the beat isnt driving forwards at all, the different instruments and voices all blend in and out of each other, and the volume never strays from a mezzo-piano, it captures that feel so well and i find it just absolutely gorgeous. it's the sort of sound you have to close your eyes and, like icarus, let the world fall away from you
and then secondly, the piece barely strays from its starting point. the "me" and the "ter" in "lighter" in "Allow the ground to find its brutal way to me/ I feel lighter than I have in so much time" are do and sol, respectively, a fifth apart on the scale, and sol is the highest it ever gets. you sing "mary had a little lamb" with the same number of notes; especially for a hozier song it's a very easy melody to fit into your vocal range. theres only one point where the melody goes lower than do, and then it is just a little hop down from do to the sol below do - the "weightless" in "I've crossed the borderline of weightless." which, firstly, fantastic choice for the low point, the note itself gently exposing the lyric as a lie.
because theres no great leaps from one note to the next, and no great difference from the lowest point to the highest, it's like the song itself is held in that single falling moment that Icarus is - suspended as time slows, and falling, yes, but only a little, and feeling it not at all.
as far from the melodic "ground" as the song falls (just three intervals, do down to ti-la-sol), the song rises yet higher, four intervals from do to re-mi-fa-sol, and the rising is far more prominent in the song than the falling. the melody floats around the mi-fa-sol area for most of the song, and only hits low sol once. what does it matter if icarus fell? look at how he soars.
#hozier#unreal unearth#sobbing and crying and rending my hair etc#when the album comes out i am going to become a person unrecognizeable#aiden.txt

Dust Watched: Yuru Camp△ Movie
Genres: SoL, CGDCT, Iyashikei //1 movie (2h) // S01 (x) S02 (x)
My last review was 8 months ago (holy jesus christ) and I made the horrible decision of getting back into it while having a horrible cold. As usual, I make great life decisions.
 story ✧
Now, to be fair, I thought “Yuru Camp” would be a perfect fit to watch bundled in some blankets and sipping some warm tea and for the seasonal episodes that’d be correct. However, this movie is a bit more ambitious than what came before and for me, it just didn’t work.
I like to mention that I don’t particularly like SoL in the first place as it usually bores me to death but there was something truly charming and soothing about Yuru Camp that even I liked. But what I liked was the actual camping (surprisingly?). A balanced dose of actual useful real life information and just characters chilling among beautiful scenery with some slight humour speckled in. So what is different in this movie? Well... there’s no camping. Not in the way I enjoyed it anyway.
The whole journey WAS what I liked. Planning, buying supplies, getting to the campsite, setting up, preparing the meal, and waiting for night to arrive is what kept me watching. Where are they going next? What type of camping will it be?
The movie’s story is about the girls, who are adults now, renovating an abandoned patch of land into a campsite. And then they camp there twice.
Obviously, I wouldn’t find what I originally liked about “Yuru Camp” in this movie but it still could’ve been good. However, the plot wastes time on things that are not important. This is a feel-good SoL; we already know that the outcome will be the best possible ending. There’s no reason to add “pretend drama” to make the movie feel more mature which is what I felt it was trying to do. Would it have been unrealistic for such a plan to go off without a hitch? Yes. But you’re trying to tell me that 5 working class adult women would have the strength, energy and time to gather at this place together X number of times and clean the whole place up BY HAND? Bro.(Not to mention that they all have stable jobs which they seem to enjoy more or less AND their own apartments by the age of like 25. Come on, we’re already in fantasy land.)
✧ characters ✧
Aight, I might’ve complained quite a bit about the story but it’s a SoL so that in itself wouldn’t have been a particular problem. What actually bored me was that this movie is almost entirely character focused. And you may crucify me if you want but I honestly couldn’t care less about the main characters in a serious sense. They are cute, squishy and their only purpose was to take you on a journey. Rin and Nadeshiko are the only ones whose character arcs made me feel something but the other 3... listen, I’m happy for them and found the occupations they ended up with intriguing but I didn’t care enough for them to carry a movie.
At Nadeshiko’s workplace, a camping gear shop, we see 3 new characters who are there to start their own camping journey at the same age as the original gang did. They felt very underutilized, only showing up twice. I would’ve really enjoyed it if they somehow got involved in helping out with the Campground Building Project and the movie served more as a figurative baton pass to a new generation.
✧ art ✧
The background art, based on real locations, were gorgeous as usual. Even though the character designs are the exact opposite of the overly detailed environment design, they still managed to combine them so things didn’t feel out of place. Oh, and the animation was very smooth.
✧ sound ✧
The chill and jovial instrumental OST really set the atmosphere as usual.
✧ overview ✧
This movie recieved great reviews from fans of the show and I’m glad others enjoyed it, but it was very different from what I expected and just found many ways it could’ve been more enjoyable to me personally. My only problem is that someone called this movie “very realistic.” The only realistic part about it was that one of them became an alcoholic!
My Rating: 6/10
#dusty reviews#yuru camp#i wanted to do something short and easy for my first review#so why....why do i talk so much#also mb to any yuru camp fans i do genuinly hope yall enjoyed this movie

I'm bored, so here's my top ten games of 2022. Some of these aren't from this year. Sue me.
10. DRAINUS - Ha ha, yes, the title is very funny. Absolutely gorgeous scrolling shooter, a little bit like if Gradius didn't hate you. Go play it. If you're not into the genre, it's pretty much the perfect entry point - I'm merely below average at the genre and at this point I can sleepwalk through the game deathless.
9. Guilty Gear Strive - It's Guilty Gear Strive! What do you want from me? It has Sol Badguy! And Testament! And Jack-O! You know, from the Jack-O pose? And Bridget! It's got What Are You Fighting For and Armor-Clad Faith and Disaster Of Passion and Play The Hero and Perfection Can't Please Me and Love The Sub-Human Self and The Town Inside Me and like! It's Guilty Gear Strive! My favorite fighting game and technically also my favorite album of the year.
8. Resident Evil 4 VR - RE4 is SO LONG. You do not understand this until you are enduring back pain from playing it for the sixth day in a row. And the castle sewers? Terrifying. Regenerators? Actually pretty chill in VR because your aim, as a regular untrained human being, is approximately 3000% better than vanilla RE4 Leon's.
7. Triangle Strategy - How do you feel about POLITICS? Do you want to learn about the tensions introduced by nigh-monopolized trade of salt and iron between three nations? Do you also want distinctive and interesting units that Final Fantasy Tactics would kill for? Are you good with nearly forty-five minutes of dialogue between battles? You should play this game.
6. CRUELTY SQUAD - I have never played a game infused with more of the developer's vitriolic anger at the status quo in my entire life. Truly wretched punk art, not for the faint of heart or narrow of aesthetic sensibilities. A user interface that hates you. You can get a Death surgery that replaces your Life bar with a Death bar. An absolute must-play.
5. TUNIC - A game so good that playing it forces you to re-evaluate every Zelda game like "yeah, but is it as good as TUNIC?" Includes the single most extensive and satisfying puzzle I've ever solved in a video game.
4. Get In The Car, Loser! - The best JRPG you haven't heard of. Extremely good combat inspired by FFXIII and Valkyrie Profile. Incredible writing. Sentences burned into my soul permanently. Deeply queer, righteously angry, and maybe the game on this list that means the most to me on a personal level.
3. Vampire Survivors - The ultimate video game. Looks like trash. You'd never buy it unless someone told you ahead of time that, no really, we all did put 50+ hours into THAT, and we're not joking.
2. Signalis - Master class in style, story telling, and classic survival horror gameplay. Had to play it twice to figure out the sequence of events. You jump down several holes. Best game in its genre since Silent Hill 2
1. Elden Ring - What did you expect? I've played it for 300 hours across something like eight different builds. I beat it in 107 hours, in 6 hours, in 70 hours, in 32 hours. One time I spent ten hours grinding for an extremely rare variant drop of a partciular piece of chest armor because I wanted my INT build to cosplay as the femme version of Link from the Japanese 1987 strategy guide for Zelda 1. It's maybe the best video game ever made, and if you thought number 1 was going to be anything else, you slept through 2022.

For this
"i hate the look that's on your face"
And also, is "you're the only place that feels like home" a Fall Out Boy reference or am I letting my one true weakness show
ahh hey !! 💗 thank you for sending an ask !! admittedly, i kind of love both of these fics !! not gonna lie, i re-read my own fics quite a lot, but i still think it's funny looking back on them and then seeing my more recent stuff. a lot of fluctuation. to me i think my work started off pretty grounded, then got very soft, and i've been trying to edge back towards that grounded tone lately. but i never know what works best, i just through things out into the world. i'm glad you enjoy my work though, i cannot tell you how much it means to hear nice things 😊📚✨
now, onto the scenes !!
the scene that birthed "i hate the look thats on your face" was definitely the image of vincent pummelling bo, while bo just tries to protect his face over anything else. also the exchange of "i hate your face" "folks hate what they can't have" was maybe the first thing i wrote for this one. just the bitterness and resentment between them that vincent they know is misplaced. it isn't either of their faults. it wasn't anyone's fault. it happened by chance. but that probably doesn't make it any easier, does it? knowing you were a fluke of nature. and for the record, this title comes from the frank iero song, joyriding. pretty much all of my fic titles are song lyrics.
no you're right, "you're the only place that feels like home" is 100% a fall out boy reference 😂 !! from under the cork tree is my favourite fob album (actually the only one i listen to all the way through). that line hits so fucking hard. the moment/scene that birthed this fic was definitely just the idea of vince and bo holding each other as a form of comfort and soothing when one of them (usually bo because he is my poor little meow meow) is feeling particularly bad. i've mentioned before that i think they suck at self-soothing because they never needed to, and apparently formerly-conjoined twins often sleep better when together. anyway, the image of vincent pressing his face to bo's head and that being what genuinely grounds them got to me. had to write the fic. and then sol drew this truly gorgeous art of it, which i look at every single day and which is more than i could have ever hoped for !! 💗
[send me one of my fics and i'll tell you the scene that birthed it !!]
#ask#i still dont have a personal tag but ive stopped trying#bo sinclair#vincent sinclair#house of wax 2005#thank you for stopping by 💗#i love these fics tbh#they were at the very start of my writing for HoW#youre the only place felt like my magnum opus at the time#and the sol did that gorgeous art#one thing in i hate the look thats on your face that i never knew if it came off right or not#their mom is already dead#bo threatening to tell her is very much an empty threat and vincents gloating is very much one last dig before the argument is over

ANYA UPSTAGES ELEANORE IN GORGEOUS WHITE GOWN FOR OVERSEAS GALA
Leave it to The Crown Princess to upstage the bride despite not being at the wedding!
In what is largely deemed a massive diss to Eleanore, the Crown Princess attended a gala held in her honour this evening at the Governor’s Mansion in Del Sol, where her Royal Highness flaunted her latest honour, Del Sol’s Order of the Sun for her work in conservation.
The Crown Princess stunned in a custom white gown with a dramatic silhouette from fashion house Riod. The dress has sparked a discussion online for being an intentional attempt to upstage Eleanore who wed earlier today.
One commenter wrote:
“Wow. I knew Anya could be petty, but I didn’t know she could be THIS petty. Imagine wearing white on the same day of your sister’s wedding... a sister who has been through hell and back this past couple of years. She just couldn’t give this to E, yeah?”
Another commenter noted:
“Let me get this straight: she skipped her sister’s wedding to attend a party abroad AND wear a wedding gown while at it? Giiiiiiirl?! Remind me to never cross Anya.”
However, a person came forward who claims to be close to a member of Anya’s style team and shared that the dress was not intended as a diss:
“Anya’s dress has been picked out MONTHS in advance, well before E’s engagement was announced. She wore white because she was to wear emeralds and the new orange sash for her latest order. It was either black or white. White was picked because royals usually refrain from wearing black especially on joyous occasions. Not everything Anya does (or wears) has to do with Eleanore. Leave these two alone. Smh.”
To be fair, the trip to Del Sol valley was, indeed, announced first (although it was rescheduled once), long before E’s engagement was announced. And during royal tours, the wardrobes are picked months in advance. Maybe it really was just a coincidence?
Either way, Anya was, indeed, the belle of the ball. The Crown Princess looked every bit like a future queen. Her Royal Highness was dripping in diamonds and emeralds, thanks to the Brindleton Emerald parure, comprising of an intircate diamond and emerald tiara, as well as matching earrings, a necklace and a massive brooch.
The Crown Princess’ look has been dubbed “textbook Princess fashion” by some fashion experts. The editor-in-chief of Sogue magazine said:
“The Crown Princess has masterfully perfected the art of looking like a Princess. She does textbook princess fashion really well. Whenever the occasion calls for it, she dons the best dresses and whips out the prettiest jewels and tiaras. One cannot help but be stunned by her formalwear and gala outfits.”
Funnily, enough, this is not the first time Her Royal Highness has been accused of upstaging a royal bride. Earlier in the year, The Crown Princess attended the wedding of Prince Louis of Glimmerbrook, and lest just say, people were quick to say that Anya’s show-stopping red dress was out of line.
What do you think? Was this a mere coincidence, or did Anya purposely pick a wedding dress-esque gown to piss off E on her big day?

Favorite films discovered in 2020
Well, this year sucked. I did see some good movies though. Some even made after I was born!
Perfect Blue (dir. Satoshi Kon, 1997)
I watch a lot of thrillers and horror movies, but precious few actually unsettle me in any lasting way. This cannot be said of Perfect Blue, which gave me one of the most visceral cinematic experiences of my life. Beyond the brief flashes of bloodletting (you will never look at a screwdriver the same way again), the scariest thing about Perfect Blue might be how the protagonist has both her life and her sense of self threatened by the villains. The movie’s prescience regarding public persona is also incredibly eerie, especially in our age of social media. While anime is seen as a very niche interest (albeit one that has become more mainstream in recent years), I would highly recommend this movie to thriller fans, whether they typically watch anime or not. It’s right up there with the best of Hitchcock or De Palma.
The Good, the Bad, and the Ugly (dir. Sergio Leone, 1966)
Nothing is better than when an iconic movie lives up to the hype. Clint Eastwood, Eli Wallach, and Lee Van Cleef play off of one another perfectly. I was impressed by Wallach as Tuco in particular: his character initially seems like a one-dimensional greedy criminal, but the performance is packed with wonderful moments of humanity. Do I really need to say anything about the direction? Or about the wonderful storyline, which takes on an almost mythic feel in its grandeur? Or that soundtrack?
Die Niebelungen (both movies) (dir. Fritz Lang, 1924)
I did NOT expect to love these movies as much as I did. That they would be dazzlingly gorgeous I never doubted: the medieval world of the story is brought to vivid life through the geometrical mise en scene and detailed costuming. However, the plot itself is so, so riveting, never losing steam over the course of the four hours it takes to watch both movies. The first half is heroic fantasy; the second half involves a revenge plot of almost Shakespearean proportions. This might actually be my favorite silent Fritz Lang movie now.
Muppet Treasure Island (dir. Brian Henson, 1996)
I understand that people have different tastes and all, but how does this movie have such a mixed reception? It’s absolutely hilarious. How could anybody get through the scene with “THA BLACK SPOT AGGHHHHHHH” and not declare this a masterpiece of comedy? And I risk being excommunicated from the Muppet fandom for saying it, but I like this one more than The Great Muppet Caper. It’s probably now my second favorite Muppet movie.
Belle de Jour (dir. Luis Bunuel, 1967)
I confess I’m not terribly fond of “but was it real???” movies. They tend to feel gimmicky more often than not. Belle de Jour is an exception. This is about more than a repressed housewife getting her kicks working as a daytime prostitute. The film delves into victim blaming, trauma, class, and identity-- sure, this sounds academic and dry when I put it that way, but what I’m trying to say is that these are very complicated characters and the blurring of fantasy and reality becomes thought-provoking rather than trite due to that complexity.
Secondhand Lions (dir. Tim McCanlies, 2003)
The term “family movie” is often used as a synonym for “children’s movie.” However, there is an important distinction: children’s movies only appeal to kids, while family movies retain their appeal as one grows up. Secondhand Lions is perhaps a perfect family movie, with a great deal more nuance than one might expect regarding the need for storytelling and its purpose in creating meaning for one’s life. It’s also amazingly cast: Haley Joel Osment is excellent as the juvenile lead, and Michael Caine and Robert Duvall steal the show as Osment’s eccentric uncles.
The Pawnbroker (dir. Sidney Lumet, 1964)
Controversial in its day for depicting frontal nudity, The Pawnbroker shocks today for different reasons. As the top review of the film on IMDB says, we’re used to victims of great atrocities being presented as sympathetic, good people in fiction. Here, Rod Steiger’s Sol Nazerman subverts such a trope: his suffering at the hands of the Nazis has made him a hard, closed-off person, dismissive of his second wife (herself also a survivor of the Holocaust), cold to his friendly assistant, and bitter towards himself. The movie follows Nazerman’s postwar life, vividly presenting his inner pain in a way that is almost too much to bear. Gotta say, Steiger gives one of the best performances I have ever seen in a movie here: he’s so three-dimensional and complex. The emotions on his face are registered with Falconetti-level brilliance.
The Apartment (dir. Billy Wilder, 1960)
While not the most depressing Christmas movie ever, The Apartment certainly puts a good injection of cynicism into the season. I have rarely seen a movie so adept at blending comedy, romance, and satire without feeling tone-deaf. There are a lot of things to praise about The Apartment, but I want to give a special shoutout to the dialogue. “Witty” dialogue that sounds natural is hard to come by-- so often, it just feels smart-assy and strained. Not here.
Anatomy of a Murder (dir. Otto Preminger, 1959)
I’m not big into courtroom dramas, but Anatomy of a Murder is a big exception. Its morally ambiguous characters elevate it from being a mere “whodunit” (or I guess in the case of this movie, “whydunit”), because if there’s something you’re not going to get with this movie, it’s a clear answer as to what happened on the night of the crime. Jimmy Stewart gives one of his least characteristic performances as the cynical lawyer, and is absolutely brilliant.
Oldboy (dir. Park Chan-Wook, 2003)
Oldboy reminded me a great deal of John Webster’s 17th century tragedy The Duchess of Malfi. Both are gruesome, frightening, and heartbreaking works of art, straddling the line between sensationalism and intelligence, proving the two are not mutually exclusive. It’s both entertaining and difficult to watch. The thought of revisiting it terrifies me but I feel there is so much more to appreciate about the sheer craft on display.
Family Plot (dir. Alfred Hitchcock, 1976)
Family Plot is an enjoyable comedy; you guys are just mean. I know in an ideal world, Hitchcocks swan song would be a great thriller masterpiece in the vein of Vertigo or Psycho. Family Plot is instead a silly send-up of Hitchcock’s favorite tropes, lampooning everything from the dangerous blonde archetype (with not one but two characters) to complicated MacGuffin plots. You’ll probably demand my film buff card be revoked for my opinion, but to hell with it-- this is my favorite of Hitchcock’s post-Psycho movies.
My Best Girl (dir. Sam Taylor, 1927)
Mary Pickford’s farewell to silent film also happens to be among her best movies. It’s a simple, charming romantic comedy starring her future husband, Charles “Buddy” Rogers. Pickford also gets to play an adult character here, rather than the little girl parts her public demanded she essay even well into her thirties. She and Rogers are sweet together without being diabetes-inducing, and the comedy is often laugh out loud funny. It even mocks a few tropes that anyone who watches enough old movies will recognize and probably dislike-- such as “break his heart to save him!!” (my personal most loathed 1920s/1930s trope).
Parasite (dir. Bong Joon-ho, 2019)
This feels like such a zeitgeist movie. It’s about the gap between the rich and the poor, it’s ironic, it’s depressing, it’s unpredictable as hell. I don’t like terms like “modern classic,” because by its very definition, a classic can only be deemed as such after a long passage of time, but I have a good feeling Parasite will be considered one of the definitive films of the 2010s in the years to come.
Indiscreet (dir. Stanley Donen, 1958)
Indiscreet often gets criticized for not being Notorious more or less, which is a shame. It’s not SUPPOSED to be-- it’s cinematic souffle and both Ingrid Bergman and Cary Grant elevate that light material with their perfect chemistry and comedic timing. It’s also refreshing to see a rom-com with characters over 40 as the leads-- and the movie does not try to make them seem younger or less mature, making the zany moments all the more hilarious. It’s worth seeing for Cary Grant’s jig (picture above) alone.
The Taking of Pelham One Two Three (dir. Joseph Sargent, 1974)
This movie embodies so much of what I love about 70s cinema: it’s gritty, irreverent, and hard-hitting. It’s both hilarious and suspenseful-- I was tense all throughout the run time. I heard there was a remake and it just seems... so, so pointless when you already have this gem perfect as it is.
They All Laughed (dir. Peter Bogdonavich, 1981)
Bogdonavich’s lesser known homage to 1930s screwball comedy is also a weirdly autumnal movie. Among the last gasps of the New Hollywood movement, it is also marks the final time Audrey Hepburn would star in a theatrical release. The gentle comedy, excellent ensemble cast (John Ritter is the standout), and the mature but short-lived romance between Hepburn and Ben Gazarra’s characters make this a memorably bittersweet gem.
The Palm Beach Story (dir. Preston Sturges, 1942)
Absolutely hilarious. I was watching this with my parents in the room. My mom tends to like old movies while my dad doesn’t, but both of them were laughing aloud at this one. Not much else to say about it, other than I love Joel McCrea the more movies I see him in-- though it’s weird seeing him in comedies since I’m so used to him as a back-breaking man on the edge in The Most Dangerous Game!
Nothing Sacred (dir. William Wellman, 1937)
I tend to associate William Wellman with the pre-code era, so I’ve tried delving more into his post-code work. Nothing Sacred is easily my favorite of those films thus far, mainly for Carole Lombard but also because the story still feels pretty fresh due to the jabs it takes at celebrity worship and moral hypocrisy. For a satire, it’s still very warm towards its characters, even when they’re misbehaving or deluding themselves, so it’s oddly a feel-good film too.
Applause (dir. Rouben Mamoulian, 1929)
I love watching early sound movies, but my inner history nerd tends to enjoy them more than the part of me that, well, craves good, well-made movies. Most early sound films are pure awkward, but there’s always an exception and Applause is one of them. While the plot’s backstage melodrama is nothing special, the way the story is told is super sophisticated and expressive for this period of cinema history, and Helen Morgan makes the figure of the discarded burlesque queen seem truly human and tragic rather than merely sentimental.
Topaz (dir. Alfred Hitchcock, 1969)
Another late Hitchcock everyone but me seems to hate. After suffering through Torn Curtain, I expected Hitchcock’s other cold war thriller was going to be dull as dishwater, but instead I found an understated espionage movie standing in stark contrast to the more popular spy movies of the period. It’ll never be top Hitchcock, of course-- still it was stylish and enjoyable, with some truly haunting moments. I think it deserves more appreciation than it’s been given.
What were your favorite cinematic discoveries in 2020?

Sol is gorgeous. She’s breath taking. Oh man, her expressions have me w e a k! I feel happy and warm seeing her. Plus safe. She exudes safe energy. Her hair is so detailed and pretty, too. Also, her smile. Thats, like, a cinnamon roll smile, but I’m 80% certain she could probs easy kill me what with that armor. How did you convey such emotion so well? Frickin art sorcerers.....
OH AND THE EAR JEWELERY A++
Funny thing about the piercings: someone commented it was a constellation piercing and that it was very clever that I included it to go with the space theme.
However, I had no idea what it was, I just had remembered seeing some cool jewelry on instagram and threw it on her.

Evolution of Sailor Kordelphi
So in 2019 I came back to the fandom, joined the Sailor Moon Amino and did my first piece of otaku senshi art in years. At the time this was Sailor Cordelia, belonging to Alukord. I'm not sure if she has a Tumblr but I'll definitely tag her.
This is Sailor Cordelia, I assume a Sol Senshi but Alu had a couple of edits but the main thing was that butterfly motif and gorgeous colour choices.
Over the years she grew and evolved. She out grew Sailor Cordelia to become an Exo-Senshi, Sailor Kordelphi with routes in Greek Oracles (Kore- Delphi), got the most stunning overhaul and had a star spot in my Otaku Senshi Poster representing Exo-Senshi.
Look at that voluptuous body! Look at those beautiful colours! She is one of the most stunning Sailor Moon OCs of the fandom.
She had a fanfiction that has sadly disappeared.
She has a true love, Nephrite!
I'll bet a number of you had a crush on Nephrite growing up, wept as he faded away in Molly's arms... Good news! He's reincarnated and meets his beloved Thalia, priestess of the Kordelphi Star.
Check her out!

Date Night
-MC goes on a date with Solomon, but Asmo joins them, making for a whole different kind of night-
(Art by Dima @ SasaraCare on Twitter!)
I stood outside the entrance of the cafe, looking around to see if I could spot Solomon anywhere. He had asked me to meet him here for a date. I was surprised by this, since Solomon was so popular. I thought it was weird that he’d want to spend time alone with me, but I have to admit that I was a little excited. I’d been wanting to get to know him better ever since I met him, but it was hard with us living in separate dorms. The brothers seemed to take up so much of my time, I didn’t get the chance to make new friends very often.
“Hey there! Sorry I’m late!” Solomon called, smiling and waving as he trotted toward me. I smiled back and nodded.
“That’s okay! Let’s go find a seat.” I replied.
We ordered some food and talked to pass the time, asking questions and telling stories.
“Wow, you have so many funny stories! I guess living with 7 demons must be pretty entertaining. Do you have a favorite?” Solomon asked.
“Hm? No I don’t think so...they’re all great in different ways, and we all have something in common. I don’t think I could choose a favorite.” I replied.
“Ah, okay. To be honest I’m surprised by that answer. I assumed you had to be dating at least one of them.” Solomon raised an eyebrow at me, folding his hands under his chin.
“Huh? No I’m not dating anyone! You asked me out on a date, why would you do that if you thought I was already dating someone?” I was genuinely confused by him.
“Well, even if you were in a relationship, I guess I just wanted to spend some time with you. We’re the only two humans here, it makes sense that we should become close, right?” Solomon slid his hand over and placed it on top of mine. It was warm, and I started to feel butterflies in my stomach.
“Yes...that makes sense. It’s nice to be in the company of another human, now that you mention it.” I smiled at him, slightly blushing.
Our food arrived and we continued to chat as we ate. Once we finished, Solomon picked up the check and we started to walk together down the street.
“Where to?” Solomon asked, taking my hand. I looked down at our hands and back up at him, and he just smiled, as if he was assuring me that it was okay. He must have thought I was such a lush, getting flustered at the tiniest bit of affection.
“Well, everything will be closing soon, so I suppose we should head back to the dorms.”
“So, we’re splitting up for the evening?” He frowned.
“Oh, no that’s not what I meant! We can go back to my room and hang out.”
“Okay, sounds good! I’d offer to have you over to my room, but it’s almost guaranteed that Luke will find a way to annoy us.” He laughed. I giggled too, but as we walked along, I couldn’t help but imagine all the teasing I’d get from the brothers once they saw me walk through the door with Solomon. I wasn’t even sure if they’d want him there, if they knew we were on a date. But I decided to push it to the back of my mind, since I was honestly having fun with him.
I slowly pushed open the doors of The House of Lamentation and looked around. Luckily, none of the brothers were near. I took Solomon’s hand and pulled him inside, quickly leading him up the stairs.
“Are you trying to sneak me in?” He chuckled.
“Ssshhh, keep your voice down!” I whispered. “I just don’t want anyone bothering us. Come on, hurry up.”
We quickly stepped down the hallway toward my room, but before we could make it there, the door to Asmo’s room swung open and he stepped out, looking surprised to see us.
“Hey! What are you two doing? Solomon? What are you doing here?” He asked, looking us up and down.
“We’re on a date!” He answered honestly. I frowned at him, shaking my head. I knew nothing good would come of this.
“A date?! Really?” Asmo looked at me. I looked down at the floor and nodded.
“Oh you two....I’m so mad!” Asmo crossed his arms.
“Jealous?” Solomon smirked at Asmo, pulling me close and putting his arm around me. I blushed and looked at Asmo.
“Yes! You know I like you! Both of you!” Asmo whined. He opened the door to his room and waved for us to come inside. Solomon let go of me and went in, but I was hesitant.
“Asmo, you can’t just have everyone in the Devildom to yourself dammit! The one time I get to go on a date with someone who doesn’t live in this house you have to come along and ruin it!” I scolded him.
“Excuse me? You knew that Solomon and I were seeing each other!” He argued.
“You’re ‘seeing’ me too! You’re ‘seeing’ lots of people! Sorry, I didn’t realize you actually took that kind of thing seriously!” I raised my voice. Asmo pouted at me, his puppy dog eyes welling up. He grabbed my wrist and pulled me into his room, slamming the door behind us. Solomon was already sitting comfortably on Asmo’s bed, clearly not as perplexed by the whole situation as I was. Asmo pointed at the bed and ordered me to sit next to Solomon, and I did as he pleased. We sat there as Asmo tapped his foot, glaring at us with his hands on his hips like a disappointed parent.
“The two most attractive humans in the Devildom, out on a date, without me! It’s not fair!” He groaned.
“We’re the only humans!” I scoffed.
“I know! Exactly!” He started pacing back and forth. I was so confused that I didn’t even bother arguing back. Solomon finally spoke up.
“I’m sorry, Asmo. I should have considered you’re feelings. We were just trying to get to know each other better. If you’d like, you can join our date. The three of us can spend the night together.”
I looked at Solomon in disbelief, but he just smiled at me, taking my hand and squeezing it to reassure me.
“Really?” Asmo said, grinning.
“Sure! We all like each other, right? Let’s have fun together.” Solomon rubbed my hand with his thumb and I was left speechless. Asmo quickly climbed onto the bed with us and threw his arms around Solomon’s neck, both of them collapsing onto the mattress. I knew that this was about to get really crazy, really fast.
“I’m so happy! My two favorite humans in my bed!” Asmo chirped, pulling me toward him and Solomon. We were both lying on our backs with Asmo kneeling over us. He smiled deviously.
“I...um...”
“What’s wrong, feeling shy?” Solomon smiled at me, rolling over onto his stomach. He was loving this just as much as Asmo was.
“Oh don’t worry! We’ll make sure you feel nice and comfortable!” Asmo said as he crawled over me, leaning down to place a kiss on my neck. He knew that was one of my weaknesses, and I started to feel hot all over. Solomon leaned in and kissed my lips, and I could have swore I melted into nothing but a puddle. I kissed him back, closing my eyes. I felt Asmo’s hands creeping up my body, caressing me slowly. Solomon pulled away from me then and sat up to remove his shirt, and Asmo did the same. The gorgeous boys looked looked down at me, hunger in their eyes. I let my eyes explore their perfect bodies, my cheeks turning bright red.
Asmo quickly pulled my top off, while Solomon slid me out of my bottoms, kissing up my thigh. I was already breathing heavy, overwhelmed by them. Asmo kissed down my neck to my collar bone, biting and sucking, leaving a red mark. Solomon removed his pants, rubbing his hard cock over his underwear. Asmo undressed too, but he wasted no time getting naked, revealing his hard cock. Solomon smiled over at Asmo and turned his attention to the lustful demon, taking the cock in his hand and stroking it. Asmo moaned softly, his cock dripping with pre cum. I watched, unable to keep from touching myself as the boys put on a show in front of me.
Solomon laid back, pulling Asmo over to him so that Asmo was sitting on his face, and he started to please the demon with his tongue. I watched as Asmo’s cheeks became flushed and he moaned in pleasure. I removed Solomon’s underwear, taking his big cock in my hand and licking it all over. I worked on him while he worked on Asmo. I heard him moan as I started sucking his hard cock, slowly sliding it deep into my mouth until it hit the back of my throat and I squeezed it firmly with my tongue and lips. Asmo groaned louder, his ass being teased with Solomon’s tongue. Asmo squirmed a little, more pre cum leaking from the tip of his cock as Solomon reached up to stroke it quickly. I continued to suck firmly on Solomon’s cock and he moaned louder, thrusting his hips up into my mouth.
After a while Asmo moved off of Solomon and made his way over to me, pulling me up by the hair and kissing me aggressively, his tongue colliding with mine. He sat back and pulled me backward on top of him, so that I was sitting between his legs, leaning back into his chest. He pushed my legs open and Solomon crawled toward me, going down and using his tongue to please me below. I moaned and thrusted my hips in excitement, his wet tongue sending heat blasting through me. Asmo held me tight, his arms wrapped around me, squeezing and feeling my body. He kissed my ear, licking it playfully.
“Good little human... Solomon is going to fuck you nice and hard, right Sol?” Asmo said sweetly. Solomon nodded, kissing up my body all the way to my lips, giving me a peck before scooting closer, his big cock rubbing against my entrance. Asmo placed his hands under my thighs, pulling my legs up higher, and Solomon slowly slid himself inside, causing me to moan loudly. He started thrusting, his cock hitting deeper with each motion. Asmo giggled a little, watching as Solomon started to fuck me. I groaned louder as he went faster, his cock slamming into me harder and harder.
“You like that? You like it when Solomon fucks you with his big cock?” Asmo said softly in my ear, his hot breath causing me to shiver.
“Yes...hnnn...yes!” I nodded, overcome with lust as I was dominated by the two of them. “More!” I pleaded.
Solomon thrusted harder, fucking me mercilessly just as I had asked. He groaned loudly, smiling at me, a drop of sweat running down his neck. Asmo leaned forward and licked it off, and then he kissed Solomon, the two of them locking lips as Solomon pounded me.
“Mmm I think it’s Sol’s turn...” Asmo smirked, ready to get in on the action. “Lay down.” He ordered, and Solomon obeyed, laying back. Asmo didn’t get out from behind me, instead he pushed me forward so that I was straddling Solomon, and then he pushed Solomon’s legs up and started licking his tight hole. Solomon gasped a little and moaned, looking up at me. I started rubbing myself against his cock, and then I inserted it again, riding him now. He groaned even louder as I grinded my hips into him, his cock shoved all the way inside me.
After some teasing with his tongue, Asmo prodded Solomon’s tight ass with his hard cock, slowly pushing it inside. Asmo fucked the human boy as I rode his dick, and he stared up at both of us, mouth wide open as he panted and shouted in pleasure. I moved my hips faster, and so did Asmo, both of us thrusting harder and harder.
“You’re so tight, Solomon! Ah...! I love your tight little ass!” Asmo teased.
“Having fun?” I winked at him, biting my lip as I rode his big cock. He was so overwhelmed that all he could do was groan and squirm underneath us.
“Ah...ah fuck! I’m gonna cum!” Solomon cried out, finally mustering up some words. I felt his cock throb inside me, and I was coming close too as it hit again and again in my most sensitive spot. We both let out a long, loud moan, cumming together. He filled my insides with his warm load, and I tightened around his cock. Asmo continued fucking him, slowing down a little as I sat for a moment and enjoyed the warmth.
“Hey! That’s not fair!” Asmo whined, stopping his thrusts. I looked back at him, raising an eyebrow.
“You think we’re just going to leave you to cum all alone?” I asked, smirking at him. I dismounted and got on all fours, looking up at Asmo. Solomon joined me, kneeling beside me, both of us level with Asmo’s dripping cock. Asmo smiled and brushed his cock against both of our lips, before pushing it into my mouth. I sucked on it hard, sliding it in and out of my mouth. He pulled it out and Solomon took it next, sucking and licking it all over. I leaned in and started licking around the base, while Solomon sucked firmly on the head. The pleasure from both of our tongues quickly had Asmo’s cock pulsing, and he moaned loudly one last time as he came, covering both of our faces in sticky cum. Asmo pulled both of us up, kissing me first and then Solomon, cum now dripping from all of our lips.
The three of us lay on Asmo’s bed, catching our breath. But before long, Asmo was already kissing all over my body again, and Solomon was stroking himself as he watched. I could see by the look in their eyes that we had only begun. This would be a long date night, but in my head I was already thinking of when to schedule our next one.

Blows dust off
The old theme was really starting to make me grumpy when I saw it so I rejiggered what I did with my Sol blog to fit this. Plus the full art for the LoR cards were gorgeous and I just couldn’t not.
It’s probably full of holes and I don’t think I have video posts done AT ALL lol but hey it looks a lil’ snazzier now.
Markup languages suck. :V

Smokey band Movie Reviews: Wowza
The Suicide Squad is the best film DC has made since The Dark Knight. That’s it. That’s the review. If you want to know why i can say that with unassailable confidence, you can continue reading but from this point on, i am literally just going to gush about this f*cking thing like a straight up school girl. It’s that good and you should go watch it right now. This is about to be a love letter to the best film I've seen all year, mostly because i haven’t seen any A24 flicks, but this thing is a fantastic consolation for that glaring disappointment.
The Inspired
The writing in this movie is easily the best the DCEU has to offer. I say that knowing there are some people who believe BvS is f*cking Shakespeare and MoS is Hemingway. They’re not. They’re both dogsh*t. The Suicide Squad absolutely is everything the neckbeard fanboys want those films to be. I marvel at how well the events blend, how organically the character interact, how real they feel in a movie with a giant kaiju space starfish as the driving conflict for the plot. It’s f*cking inspired and lays solid ground work for very exceptional aspect of this movie going forward. Your film starts on the page and James Gunn understands that sh*t very well.
The emotion in this movie is palpable. I literally teared up toward the end. That’s rare for me because I'm kind of an emotionless monster but that line, “I’m a superhero!” f*cking gut checked me. Gunn has done that to me three times. “WE are Groot.” "He may have been your father, boy. But he wasn't your daddy." It wasn’t Pete swinging in after the “On your left.” in Endgame but it was close. Dude is too good at that sh*t and it’s weird that Marvel is willing to let him go. They better lock that dude the f*ck up!
Chemistry is everything for an ensemble like this and this cast definitely has that. I bought their interactions without having to suspend my disbelief, not like in other, lesser SKWAD films. I particularly like the relationship between Ratcatcher II and Bloodsport. That sh*t was sweet and brought a legitimate smile to my face.
I mentioned how well this film was written but, aside from the brilliant plot that made all of these misfit killers relevant, the character work really goes a long way to selling this narrative. Like, you absolutely fall in love with Polka Dot Man by the end of this thing. They made Peacemaker an irredeemable bastard. Like, do you know how well you have to develop a character played by John f*cking Cena, for people to hate him? He’s the White people version of The Rock! That’s near impossible but they definitely pull it off. It’s like Gunn watched the first SKWAD, saw what they did with El Diablo and just decided to do that. And when i say “do that’, i mean actually write these f*cking characters as people instead of stereotypes and tropes.
The Great
This is an ensemble film, which means it lives and dies by it’s cast. Well, this motherf*cker is living mas! Not a single character was miscast in this. Not a one. From the supporting characters like Alice Braga’s Sol Soria and Peter Capaldi’s Thinker, to the expendable distraction SKWAD. Loved seeing Jai Courtney’s Captain Boomerang again and i even like Pete Davidson’s Blackguard. I can’t stand Pete Davidson. This cast is MCU levels of excellent but, of course, there are standouts.
Joel Kinnaman as Rick Flag does the best work of his career. This dude almost always sucks in the roles he takes on but I'm starting to think that’s because of the direction he’s given because dude kills it as Flag in this. I genuinely liked him this time around. He felt like a real person and not some caricature of whatever the generic US Marine is supposed to be.
Margot Robbie is the live action Harley Quinn. She embodies this character like Ledger did Joker and RDJ did Stark. It’s that good and this version of Harley is easily the best. She feels complete, like she’s finally the Harls in the comics and i love it. This Harleen is who the character should have been from the jump but a lot of that was on Margot. She had to grow into the character, develop her ability because the first time she donned that Puddin’ necklace was rough. She’s come a long way and so has Harley.
I touched on this before but John Cena’s Peacemaker is a f*cking bastard. This casting genius because of the message behind the movie. I’ll get into that later but casting the most All-America motherf*cker to play the villain in a film about US involvement in Sovereign Foreign nations? And for Cena to literally play up his Patriot shtick only to turn out to be an allegory for the sordid reality of America? Bro, this sh*t got over. Cena is outstanding as Peacemaker. This cat really does have the chops to be a movie star. Looking forward to this show they gave him, for sure.
Polka-Dot Man is arguably the best character in this entire film. I love what Gunn wrote for him and absolutely adore how David Dastmalchian gave the character life. He had the best arc in the entire film and i really enjoyed his journey. When he got his moment, i teared up a little bit. Dude deserved that. Dude earned that. For me to have such a visceral reaction to that scene is testament to how well Dastmalchian did his job!
Listen, i love Idris Elba. I do. Cat has all of the swagger. He’s easily as charismatic as Obama and i dig that. However, he just plays Idris Elba. Like, his Bloodsport is literally just John Luther but, you know, murder prone. That’s not a bad thing, it definitely works, but, if I'm being honest, as a character, he’s the weakest of the lot but that’s how good everyone is in this. Idris f*cking Elba is the weakest character in this cast! What?? It’s not even like he’s bad or anything, he just plays the same dude over and over.
And now we get to my favorite character in this flick, Ratcatcher II. Listen, i have no idea who the f*ck Daniela Melchior is, but she is the absolute heart of this film, the moral compass of this team, and she never shirks away from that challenge. She has outstanding chemistry with Elba and the relationship between their two characters is the sweetest sh*t I've seen in a long time. It reminded me a lot of Logan and Laura. Melchior, if he chooses, can have a great career in Hollywood because she’s a real talent.
The Good
The plot to this thing makes sense. It’s not something as intricate as The Dark Knight but it’s head-and-shoulders better than anything the DCEU has produced and objectively sh*ts on the SKWAD that came before it. Destabilizing a small Latin American nation feels more like something Waller would have theses assholes do, rather than trying to kill a f*cking god with boomerangs and bullets. This movie is everything the first SWKAD attempt wants to be.
The violence and gore in this is ramped up to a eleven. There is a lot of grotesque sh*t in this thing and it starts the second Blackguard gets his face blown off. Like, his entire f*cking face. You see ALL of that sh*t and SO much more. Like, it gets grimy and i appreciated that. A SKWAD film needs that blood. This is a team of remorseless killers. We, as the audience, need to feel that and this flick delivers.
James Gunn can direct his ass off. When they announced he was going to be in charge of this film way back when, i knew it was going to be legit. When they announced t was a hard R, i needed it in my life. We’re talking Guardians with murder. Were talking the quintessential James Gunn vision and what a vision it is. Not only did he direct the f*ck out of this movie, but he wrote it, too! Mans has the only writing credit on this production. This is all him! It’s wild seeing the difference between directors on display. Gunn delivered a film that one could argue is the best of the year while Zack Snyder made f*cking Army of the Dead. The discrepancy between the quality of these two films is why i hate Snyder so much and have all of the love for Gunn.
The imagery in this thing is f*cking top tier. There are shot that are legitimate art It's a weird juxtaposition considering how bloody some of these scenes get but, f*ck, is it gorgeous!
I have to mention the editing. I usually don’t bother because it’s always adequate and, admittedly, it feels only slightly better in this film but it’s competent. It’s better than the first and you really feel that sh*t. Like, i watched the movie in preparation for this one and, oh my god, the difference in an actual team of professional film editors really cut a great film. Who’ have thought letting a f*cking trailer house construct your movie that it would end up feeling like a ton of trailers strung together and be bad?
This movie is overtly political. It has a lot to say about the influence of the US abroad. It doesn’t shy away from the realities of our international policy and really hammers home the reality of what the United States is, rather than the way we portray ourselves to be. This culminates in a struggle between Flag and Peacemaker; Both soldiers to the core but on opposite ends of the American ideal. It’s actually really brilliant and, if you aren’t paying attention, will go over your head. This is how you instill your politics into a film. This is how you execute ideals in a narrative. Gunn has a lot to say and he says it in the loudest way, but with the quietest voice.
The Okay
The only beef i can see people having with this is the exposition dumps. There are a few but they kind of stall the overall flow. I didn’t mind them too much because, by the time we get to them, the film has built up so much good will by being just fantastic.
The Verdict
I f*cking loved this movie, dude. Look how long this list of dope sh*t is. I literally itemized all of the reasons why this flick is so great. I can’t articulate it and more clear. I told you at the very beginning, literally the first thing i wrote, that The Suicide Squad is the best film in the DCEU and i mean that sh*t. Grace Randolph is a f*cking hack. Don’t listen to her incredibly bias opinion. Just f*cking go watch it and decide for yourself! It’s in theaters right now and on HBO max for free.

if you want: SoL in fantasy world / HUGE female main cast / colourful world and designs / part-time idols / like 80% just girls being cute
"Lapis Re:LiGHTs” sounds like the title of the 5th season of an idol anime but in fact this is the 1st (and only) season and it’s only quarter of an idol anime. Everything going on here is a little confusing but as far as I can tell, this anime was made as a promotion for the world and characters as both the manga and the (upcoming?) mobile game are releasing after this anime has aired.
While “Lapis RE:LIGHTs” isn’t a particularly groundbreaking anime, there’s definitely an audience who’d quite enjoy it. Our main character, Tiara, enters Flora Girls Academy, a school for aspiring witches and gets assigned to a group of 4 girls. The 5 of them take the main role of the anime but besides them there’re 18(!) supporting characters who actually get quite a bit of screentime.
As an incredible feat however, the giant cast for a 12 episode anime isn’t what made my enjoyment likewarm. Actually, the cast is probably half the reason I actually enjoyed this as much as I did. The other half is the animation and art. The art style isn’t unique but it’s vibrant. I’m in LOVE with the character designs. I’m a sucker for colourful and varied hairstyles but it’s easy to go overboard and have a clusterfuck of too many colours when there’re multiple characters on screen but they somehow managed to avoid this. Their designs and even colour schemes are also a perfect fit for their personalities which helps a lot in remembering the characters. The animation is also very fluid, key-frames are gorgeous and there’re no big blunders even when it comes to far away shots.
The problem "Lapis Re:LiGHTs” does have, is the pacing and lack of focus. There’re multiple plotlines happening but the biggest one (for us) is the girls avoiding expulsion by gathering more points. At least, that’s what you’d think. The story strucutre is basically “Intro (first 2 episodes, sets up the main characters and conflict) - FILLER - conflict, ending (last 3 episodes)”. Considering that this anime wants to bank on the cast, I’m not surprised about the amount of filler, but the what’s supposed to be the main story feels shoehorned in the end. Add some more reveals and conflicts that we find out about in the last 2 episodes and the pacing is a complete mess.
Special mention goes to the small details of the world-building. Different ways of summoning your magic based on what region you’re from, the usage of magical stones for everyday items and uses and using glowy flowers instead of lightsticks during idol performances.
Oh, right, there’re idol performances. There’re multiple groups made up of the main cast, all of them with different musical styles so you’re bound to find a group whose music you vibe with. The 3DCG models also didn’t look out of place much but there was some weird framerate drop for the models during faraway shots. IDK what that was about. The fanservice isn’t particularly in your face, thank god, but I really didn’t appreciate the weirdass siscon character. As a fellow oldest of 3 girls, dear writers, that’s gross as fuck.

Hey Sol, if you feel as though I’m starting drama on your blog I totally understand if you dont answer this ask. The last thing I want to do is bring hate or further ignorance towards you. I think you are an amazing queen ✨ who has no problem of speaking out about what bothers you as a women of color. BUT TO THE ANONS THAT ARE REALLY GETTING MAD OVER A JOKE😠.
I am a darkskin black women and everyone seems to laugh it up when women of my skin complexion and race gets disrepected on media platforms and in casual conversation. I have heard men and women bash my community of women in order to uplift other women. Men (especially in my community) do it all the time in order to send praise to women of different races. And I don’t see any of those women saying it’s not right...y’all hop on the wagon. Y’all talk about how we need to run a comb through our hair, we need to brighten our skin, “wash with bleach”, “that’s why your men want me” or “leave you for me”. REALLY?!?! Or let’s not forget how many ppl steal fashion from my community and other communities alike because they want to be trendy. But when my community did it, it was ghetto.🙄 Yes nipples are something that you can’t change, but neither are the features I listed. Really look at yourself and think when I was sitting there laughing at the racist and inappropriate jokes made against someone else about something the couldn’t change...I wonder how they felt. ALWAYS LAUGHING AT SOMEONE ELSE BUT WHEN IT PERTAINS TO YOU...🥴 “that’s not funny.” STFU!
firstly. this isn’t drama and i dont care what it starts (mainly because i will stop it most of the time before it starts). this is your experience and if you wanna talk about it and rant then you are 100% welcome to, you wont bring me hate or further ignorance, that is all completely down to the actual people sending the hate and ignorance!!
secondly ! thIS THIS THIS! i literally don't even need to say more. this is real racism and discrimination and this is what poc, especially black women, have to face every day of their lives. this is why i cannot and will not ever take a couple of white people getting mad over a pink nipple comment seriously. because this is the kind of shit poc people have to face every day. this is what we live through.
also im ??? so fucking disgusted by anyone who would treat you let along say this to your face? and the fact that you had to sit and laugh with them? i will lidorally :| commit murder for you :| just give me their names ????? like im just,, appalled truly. i hope you know that you are so so beautiful and that your natural hair is gorgeous and you do not ever need to feel shame for your hair or skin colour because you are a work of art, a true masterpiece and i hope you only ever see yourself in the mirror and feel like the queen you are :(
