It's the one thing I'm still hung up on lol#As for the rest I think it's Really getting close :) I got to actually turn her little ''shawl'' - I always knew it was Kaiein-related -#Into something that properly mimics his shape! It's all controlled by her tho it's not a part of his body - just magic-infused matter#Made to look like him so there's still that creep factor but it's more her body than his - she can control its shape :D#And I got to keep the jewels! Yesss - made it a motif! Now it's also on her hips and knees to break up her visual space yes very good#It's drips :) Y'know - like ink :) Finally figured that one out lol good job setting up my own symbolism me#And then some elegant drapey bits to match her ''shawl'' and continue to break up her space!! Yes! Good!!#I still haven't decided on a colour palette I think black and white is too obvious and too Kaiein but hmmm - she has a lot of colours#Lots of options to pick from but which is the Correct one - her hair would stay pink so maybe some of her pinks or purples#I'll play with some digital swatches later :)#I'm also so glad I could implement the hood design from one of the scrapped outfits ah <3 I love her in a hood she's so cute#I'm rather pleased with the way the spider web design breaks up her form as well - it's more subdued than the full bottom/shoes stripes but#It's also not very clear here lol the long ones that all the way down to her feet are the third from the center ignore that second one#The second lines out from the center host her wings! Very important!#Kinda reminds me of my holosona in a way actually :0 They /are/ both Evil-aligned hmmmm#All the more reason to colour palette! Differentiate the colours in my head#Really do feel like I'm approaching it now fdjsklafd getting close now!!

been seeing a lot of "kids these days" kind of posts bitching abt minors in fandom, and tbh i'm starting to feel a little bad for them.
like yeah, it can be exhausting to hear them complain about the stuff they see on ao3 that they don't like, but that's just the experience of curating one's own online experience for the first time. i remember taking countless aliquots of psychic damage by merely existing in the snk fandom back in the day!!! i have diary entries from that age where i talked about that discomfort and what i, at the time, thought should be done about it!!!
and like. spoiler alert, but it was pretty similar to those kinds of "this isn't right, and i think you're an icky person for being into it even though it's fiction" conclusions that you see a lot from people who are the same teenaged age as the characters involved.
there have been issues with calls to take down ao3 bc of this kind of thing, but that's not a position exclusive to people below the age of eighteen, and i don't think we're really going to actually get young fans to listen to us if we just keep calling them brats or snot-nosed children.
i've grown and changed a lot since i was their age, but something i have noticed is that it's easy to blame younger versions of yourself or others for not knowing the lessons you've learned since then. "i used to be that person; i know how they think, so why don't they see the obvious truth to my current viewpoint?" we fail so hard at giving kids the grace to be uneducated kids that we subsequently fail to educate them as intended.
being compassionate to kids is hard, i get it, especially when it feels like they're trying to actively dismantle the good you've worked hard to help create, and i don't think that bad behavior should go without consequences just because they're not adults yet. it's not our job as adults in fandom to parent them; hence the block button.
but like, idk. i think often about how easily we forget all the latent fear that existed within us growing up that slowly dissipated once we gradually assumed authority of our own lives. i think often about those posts that circulated tumblr about a decade ago promising to become the generation who wouldn't talk down on the generations below us, because we would remember how it felt to be talked down and dismissed at that age. and i just think that perhaps, generational warfare is not the answer here.
#the post is a little long so pardon that but i simply had Some Thoughts(tm) i wanted to articulate#花話#i also do recognize that a lot of people just don't wanna deal with bad-mannered minors online in fandom and that's fair honestly#it's like how some people wanna raise kids but not babies#but like. as someone who did not have any adult friends as a teenager (n honestly is still p much only friends w/peers)#i think it's important that teenagers have like. actual adult friends they share a hobby with n isn't an authority figure#to help model what community behavior is supposed to look like outside of a hierarchical system#n provide guidance through first or second or even third encounters with tricky or upsetting situations#n that's why i'm willing to let minors talk to me abt stuff. like i don't seek them out on purpose or anything that feels weird#but like fuck man if a kid wanders onto my blog n decides they wanna hang out then that's cool#(as long as i get to use their head as an elbow rest for the aesthetics ofc lol)

Actually it is SO weird to me to remember that I was an engineering student and that later on I had been pursuing a minor in statistics
I may be a IT & com person in the end, but I do have the foundations of engineering and statistics in my brain too. Wild !
#speculation nation#if i hadnt liked coding so much i probably wouldve still been an engineer.#like my school does a first year engineering track where u learn the basics and then explore different engineering options#so by ur second year u choose your official track and that decides the rest of your schooling.#and id been thinking about computer & electrical engineering. often goes hand in hand.#guys i couldve been an electrical engineer. honestly that wouldve been so cool. wasnt meant to be tho 👍#i took a coding class my 2nd semester. first experience with coding. it was in C. i LOVED it.#and it got me comparing computer engineering and computer science and i decided that i wanted to do computer science#but well the intro course for that fucking sucked. didnt wanna go back to engineering either bc i hated engineering lol#im smart enough but it's fuckin soul sucking man.#eventually tho i found my way to my current home. im a techie :3 and im happy with that.#anyways do i seem like the kind of person who was into engineering and statistics? sometimes it's weird for me to remember.#but i did spent Years assuming id end up as an engineer. my grandpa was one. my dad was studying to be one b4 he dropped out#and my sister is one. just kinda runs in the family i guess. & so i was So Sure that was where i was going.#took. an engineering class in high school and everything. taught me some good foundational skills in modeling#also was the class that let me develop my signature. bc we had a notebook we had to sign the top of every day#so me doing my signature over and over again. i decided to use it as an opportunity to make it My Own. rather than just my name in cursive.#so yeah im a techie that talks good but i do have that math brain. engineering basis. statistics knowledge.#kinda feel like a jack of all trades (master of none) with it all. but see thats a good thing for companies (i hope)#ive got foundational knowledge of many things. and i am Adaptable. they can teach me the in depth shit i need to know themselves.#and i Also have my work experience in management... which i hope will help my case when applying to companies too.#aaaahhh!!! so many things to think about!!! but at the end of the day i am smart & educated and i will be a good asset to any company i join#i just need to convince them of that 😂 but i can probably figure something out. something !!!#i will graduate college and get some kind of IT job that pays decently & work my way up to maybe someday being an IT manager or smth#i can finally start. truly growing up. instead of being stuck in forever college unable to drive myself anywhere.#have my IT job and a car and the ability to do Whatever i want.... god i want it so bad.#im just daydreaming by this point. god im so excited to finally graduate college.
