"Regulus' collection" a microfic for my love, @bellaxisworld

Regulus had been collecting them for a while—his Sylvanian Families collection, that is. It all began with gifts from Sirius. The first one was a little raccoon, and Sirius had carefully wrapped it for him before leaving for school ten years ago. Each time his brother visited for the holidays, he would add another one to Regulus' collection.

He had never felt embarrassed of them, not until now, at twenty-one years old, with a shelf displaying them in an apartment where his brother’s hottest friend would be coming over. They were about to host their first dinner since leaving their parents' home, and Regulus had gladly obliged, anything to make his brother happy. But now, as those little shits looked back at him from the dustless shelf, he couldn't help but feel embarrassed.

Regulus had been crushing on James for as long as he could remember. They had seen each other not more than three times, which meant he had experienced the warmth of the sun in close proximity that same amount of times. And Regulus hated the cold.

When Sirius insisted on them living together, he was also adamant about their home feeling like a place where they both existed. It was actually his idea to have his collection on display. Now, Regulus wonders if his brother's plan had been to humiliate him all along.

He tried discreetly covering them with anything, even willing to shove them all inside a drawer. But as he grabbed the first one, his brother stopped him.

"What are you doing, Reg?" Sirius laughed a little as Regulus blushed.

"Nothing, but I just don't want your friend to think I'm lame," Regulus replied quietly, his gaze stuck on his shoes.

"Remus has seen your collection millions of times, Reg. It's just James who—" his brother stopped talking, and Regulus dared to look back at him, guilt all over his face.

"Reggie, do you care what James thinks?" Sirius' tone was much more gentle than Regulus had expected.

"So what if I do?" and at the response, Sirius' eyes softened.

"No, fuck no. Don't look at me like that. I don't like James or his stupid smile."

"Reg-"

"I know, I know! Of course, I care what James thinks, now help me hide them, but be careful!" Regulus started delicately placing them in a drawer, but Sirius' grip stopped him once more.

"Do you want to know a secret?"

"Sirius, we don't have time-"

"James has a collection of his own."

Regulus smiled but quickly called his brother's bluff, "you're just trying to make me feel better."

"I would never lie about a Sylvanian Families collection! I swear on Moony!" Sirius drew a cross around his heart.

Before Regulus could protest any longer, they heard a knock on the door.

It was James. Handsome and perfect James, who brought flowers and exquisite wine for dinner.

It was James. Adorable and kind James, who complimented Regulus' collection all night and insisted it was much better curated than James'.

It was James. Lovely and breathtaking James who would one day have a shelf next to Regulus' for his own collection.

She too damn big for this couch

Today I lost my princess Bella Rose.

There's nothing I can say that will ever be enough and show everyone what a perfect, sweet, cuddly, and amazing baby she was. It was unexpected for us and I just wish we had more time.

She made it to 15.

She loved sink water.

She loved to eat hay.

She would get yogurt containers stuck on her head when she would try to eat some.

Every night for dinner she would do this adorable, excited little prance as she followed us around.

Every night she slept on my back and in the morning she would pull the blanket up with her mouth and crawl under to cuddle with us.

I've never known a cat like her and I don't know if I ever will. Me and my partner truly saw her as a daughter and our lives will never be the same without her. We took her collars to the rainbow bridge to say goodbye, and we're going to have her ashes tattooed on each of our arms -- her pawprint on each wrist.

I hope everyone can understand how special she was and remember her forever like we will.

when we adopted Bella, we were told she'd be very shy/reclusive

over the course of 30 hours, she has:

thoroughly explored the entire apartment

meowed at us at any given opportunity (including keeping us awake throughout the night)

been very receptive to our attempts to interact, including several small brushing sessions

sought us out when things were not deemed acceptable (not enough water, want more food, pay attention to me please, let me in the closet for the love of GOD)

just spent a solid hour in my lap just now, vibing and demanding face scritches

#ALoveforCHerr: Sims In Bloom's Diego Vásquez for @perolesims

Full disclosure: I said I would send Diego Vásquez (he/him) hoping the next Herr heir does not fall for him! Make him fodder, mess with him, let it hurt a little bit! That's all I ask.

I'm not a sadist. If this sim finally finds true love I'll welcome it for him, but his history and his traits leave a little to be desired! He brings chaos as a lazy lovebug and animal enthusiast.

Diego's story after the cut (especially for anyone wondering to themselves 'Isn't he happily married to Rahul Chopra?')...

It all started when he was the randomly assigned mixologist at the wedding of Cassandra Goth to Gen 1 Sims In Bloom spare "Old Man River" Nesbitt. Diego spent the entire reception at the Calico Lounge wooing divorcee mother-of-the-bride Bella Goth and they moved in together shortly thereafter.

But then Brindleton Bay shelter worker Rahul Chopra's wife Rashidah died of heatstroke, and the grieving widower met Bella Goth's lazy live-in boyfriend.

He didn't even have the decency to break up with Bella before he eloped with Rahul and moved into his home with Rahul's three grieving teenagers. Bella dumped him and his belongings in the bay, and one of Rahul's twin daughters ran away from home with her boyfriend Marcus Flex!

Rahul spent the next few years trying to repair his relationships with his kids while Diego lazed about his home. But whatever, they were a side household, I just let them be. And the next thing I knew (literally last week), Diego had autonomously divorced Rahul and tried to kick the man out of his own home!

The Watcher (who had already given him an honourable mention in my least favourite sims post) said nope to that. Now he's languishing in 'currently not in world' while I debate what to do with him. He's getting up there in years and has made a bit of a stink of the time he's had so far, so when @perolesims invited us to send some sims over, I thought he could have at least one more potentially romantic adventure in a save where I don't have to deal with his shenanigans.

He was born in Selvadorada, raised in San Myshuno, and lived off others in Brindleton Bay in adulthood. No children, and since he keeps ending his relationships on a whim, no other family. He's bisexual but probably down for anything. He also comes with a mountain of likes and dislikes that I didn't even pick. And for whatever reason he randomly wants a vampire family. Make of that what you will since he's not a vampire, because I really don't understand this man! 😂

From one legend to another.

Finally drew mr qi, finally got it the way I wanted

I always planned on making him another cat person

I originally wanted him to be a Russian blue (because blue skin?) than I realized that would probably cause confusion with Bella and her biological parents

So I was split on making him a black cat or a calico ( because male calicos are extremely rare, and he thinks of himself as a legend)

My friend said they liked the black cat idea, so I went with a black cat
