Collection of my Weird Dreams
1. I had a weird dream last night. I was reading a (very very nicely drawn) King of the Hill comic where Dale got bit by a vampire. Soon Lauane was too and either turned or killed Peggy. I don’t remember seeing Bobby. But I know it ended with Dale biting and turning Hank as fangs emerged from Hank’s teeth. The weirdest part was it was on tumblr and I could see all the details of the blog it was on. 2. I don’t know why but for some reason lately I’ve been having dreams about a TV show that was basically a live action Superfriends. It stared Sinestro (in a heroic role and a really weird costume) and a cast of DC heroes. It aired in the gap after Smallville ended but before the Arrowverse began. I even remember the title “Sinestro and the Corps of Justice” The really weird thing is that in the dream I just had last night the description for one of the episodes (which I just realized I shouldn’t have been able to read in a dream) mentioned Squirrel Girl and I saw Deadpool in it. I still remember the intro from last nights dream too. It started with animated versions of the heroes floating in space rising up as they turned into the live action versions. 3. I had a strange dream last night, it was a zombie apocalypse but it was in the Monsters Inc. universe and the monsters were using the closets to save the children. 4. I had a weird dream last night. Basically it took place in one of those idealistic 50-esque towns but everyone had a dark secret. It begins and ends with the town’s greatest actor dying in the center of town. Eventually it’s revealed he hid evidence that would have cleared the main character’s brother of a crime. As he died he confesses. This is where it gets weird. There’s also some deep rivalry/conspiracy between people who wear dog shirts and people who wear cat shirts. Oh and did I mention that everyone was either a barbie doll or a ken/GI Joe doll? Basically by the end the town is torn apart by all the secrets. 5. I had a weird dream last night, basically it was one of those festivals you see in RPGs celebrating the defeat of some ancient evil, only it was like a modern carnival with tacky stands and food and rides and stuff. And in the middle of the carnival the evil guy was inside a room with glass windows so people could look at him inside the seal. And at one point he’s going on the usual “if i were free I’d turn this mockery into a crater” until a staff member just hands him cotton candy. 6. I just had a weird dream It was like a combo of Earth D and the DCAU/batman beyond. Here’s what I remember Robin was an indian version of Tim Drake and his daughter was a new heroine and he had a job making historical holograms Supergirl was asian or something and her son had a crush on the daughter of Robin Aquaman was older and a bit chubby but still kicked ass when an atlantian tried to attack the surface world he led the army against them Aquagirl was the same as Batman Beyond Terry apparently was a brat before but through time travel or something had gone through what we saw in BB and become a better hero for it and for some reason had a sword and was in a semi relationship with Aquagirl. The joker was still alive and somehow got all the heroes to surrender there was a subplot about a spikey nut thing one of the batmen (bruce was still batman too) kept dropping and a villain telling another villain not to let a monster dog eat them During the climax Terry drops a gas pellet, bruce throws a flash bang and terry uses one of the nut things to set it off near Superman recharging him and that’s where it ended. 7. Every time I hear this song I can’t help but think back to a dream I had once. There was a massive giant who walked across the world until they noticed small creatures suffering. They taught the creatures how to farm, how to build, how to craft weapons to ward off predators and so on. One day there was a terrible disaster (right as the song reaches the zenith) and the giant protects the small village with their body dying in the process and their body becomes a tall mountain that watches over the village for all time. 8. I had a weird dream once where it was a horror movie that took place in a mansion, it was haunted by a banshee but the banshee was summoned by a teenage girl to save her from other teens at a party gone wrong. Basically it ended with the girl becoming the new banshee. 9. I don’t know what reminded me of this but a few years ago I had a dream about a kid about 5-10ish who carried around a stuffed bear dressed like a knight. One night the kid and his mom are attacked by a mugger and the bear begins to glow and grow until it’s about 6-7 feet tall and it attacks the mugger. It turns out the kid has the power to bring the bear to life to create KnightBear! That’s pretty much all I remembered 10. I just had a dream where I was watching an LP/playing one of those “found journal games. I mean I remember seeing the progress bar at the bottom, I even skipped ahead a few times.
The journal belonged to a boy at one of those troubled boy places decades ago.
It kept talking about some imaginary friend thing trying to pressure him into horrible choices.
Then it got weird when the journal revealed a nerf gun you had to use to spell the name of the “friend” and a creature appeared and had the player use various objects to play pranks on other boys and the staff.
However the pranks get more and more violent as the creature gets more and more demented looking. Then the journal reveals why the boy/you were in this place, with a bloodstained page and a photo. 11. I just had a weird dream it started with a newspaper comic crossover that somehow involved Yogi Bear and turned into a zombie outbreak. Then for some reason four old comedians including Bill Muray were tasked with stopping it but they failed however it turned out to be a groundhogs day loop. I know at one point Murray is talking about the last loops failure and it involved a showdown on a bridge where they all died and zombiefied and destroyed the bridge. That's when I woke up 12. Last night’s dream was about a group that was pretty much the Voltron Force/Power Rangers. It began with something about time travel where it was revealed things hit the fan bad! Some evil parasite that for some reason looked like the leg of a horse or a moose had taken over all but one of the team. The lone survivor managed to free two of the others so it was the leader, the comic relief and the brooding one against the second in command and the gadget genius. During the battle the gadget genius revealed they had rebuilt a ton of previous versions of the mecha only for the comic relief to remind him that he helped build them all so he took them all down. The parasite was having them use their space station to super heat the earth so they could thrive on the planet and after all five were free they formed the mecha and were forced to destroy the station but for some reason the mecha began to tear itself apart. Only the leader survived and used some gadget to go back in time and stop it all from happening but one of the last surviving parasites infected him and his past self had to kill him… 13. It’s 4 am and I just had a weird dream about a body horror game. The premise is a couple (randomly generated each play through so one play through is MF another MM and so on) are in an accident and found by a mad doctor who attaches them at the pelvis (Barbie/ken anatomy, the whole thing is played for horror) and the couple must adapt to this in order to escape. It’d control like a two player QWOP. I just had to get this idea out 14. I had a weird ninja anime dream last night. Basically it was one of those realistic anime styles. The main character was a female ninja who trained to be the best of the best for the usual reasons (fighting evil) but the twist was when she actually got to the battle this super deformed ninja guy was wiping the floor with them. He pledges himself as her pupil. The SD Ninja would be one of those “how scary a comedy character would be if their abilities were taken seriously” situations but he’d still act like he was in a comedy anime. At some point the female ninja’s friend is revealed to be a centipede themed monster. Oh and the female ninja managed to convince one of the monsters that hurting people was wrong and they started to teach that to other monsters. But they had to keep up appearances in front of the boss so they’d threaten people only to let them go when the boss wasn’t looking. 14. I had a weird dream last night. It was about a cartoon superhero, a boy whose powers had something to do with animals. He was fighting a supervillain who was the big bad and had a medallion that allowed him to steal the power of animals. The villain realized that people count as animals and tried to steal the boys powers but ended up draining a side character to death. The opening was then changed to include a bit with their face included among the various beings the villain stole the power of. The finale then had the villain somehow puppet the rest of the side characters to prevent the boy from attacking. Seeing the boy risk his life gave them the courage to fight the control and create an opening for the boy to strike. 15 A. I had a double whammy of weird dreams last night. The first was about Ducktales and I remember the most about it. It started off with the main cast in an amusement park playing a life sized board game thingy (Duckworth won right before someone else could) But during it they’re confronted by animatronics of themselves that FOWL had turned evil. The stinger revealed that the Louie one was turned good but thought it was the real Louie. Then it cut to Louie, Fenton, Della, and somehow the HDL father in a cave trying to escape. Part of it had caved in causing Fenton and Louie’s eyes to glow green revealing Fenton was a robot too. He had one hand as a chainsaw to clear the rocks and offered to help unlock some of Louie’s programming to help escape. But Louie was scared so he pushed him...right into Della. It cut away to the father and Louie screaming. 15 B. The next dream was RWBY with elements of Miraculous Ladybug. This one was all kinds of jumbled up. It involved Ruby dressed as Tinkerbell going mad with jealousy until an Akuma/Grimm Yang broke in the room? Then it cut to Ruby being freed from the same state? Then it cut back to Ruby actually being possessed? 17. I just woke up from another weird dream It was basically Teen Titans/Young Justice + A bad B Movie The lineup was Robin/Red Robin/Red Bird? Starfire Cyborg Superboy And Mammoth of the Fearsome Five joined the team As it went on however Robin went way off the deep end and even attacked his teammates. Starfire revealed that he’d been working solo more in secret and doesn’t even talk to the cops about the other members. Meanwhile there was a subplot about two hazardous material disposal workers who had a drum of material get stolen/fall off the truck. It ended up in a pond behind someone’s house. Superboy talked to a teenage boy genius who was either Blockbuster or some Hulk rip off who had a notebook with a bunch of notes until it was just “Blockbuster” over and over. As Superboy was confronting him two women (I think they were Titans) for some reason were in the pond and got a face full of chemicals and began throwing up. That’s when the hazardous material guys showed up and helped them not die. Then I woke up. 18. I had a freaking weird dream last night I was trapped in an anti-sexual assault PSA video. Like literally inside it. It was in universe in the MCU and Natasha was there but every time someone touched her it tore away to reveal a scared little girl inside her. Then I was running down a hallway and I could literally see the cast and crew filming the PSA, like I could see a guy in the ceiling working on lights. And the hallway kept repeating until I jumped up and grabbed the guy’s arm. That’s when I woke up and went back to bed. I legit have NO idea what spawned this. 19. It started with a skeleton villain voiced by Mark Hamill (so either Skeleton King or Skeletor) marching down the street ranting about the positive values of revenge. Going to confront him was the girl from Two Stupid Dogs (aged up to like middle school age) walking the skinny dog. The dog got scared and refused to go any further. (Apparently the dog had somehow wronged the villain) The girl was about to give up hope when a high school version of Bayonetta showed up next to her and put a stencil on the fence next to her. It was of magic words arranged in a magic shape. As she penciled it on another girl, a high school version of Zatanna helped activate it forming a seal to protect the girl and dog. That’s when I woke up. 20. I had a weird ass body horror nightmare last night. It started as a Doctor Who/Ben 10 crossover thingy with the “plot” being a musical as everyone got ready for Gwen’s wedding. Then it took a turn as along the side of the “screen” cartoony veins went up and these worm like things popped out of them and started singing. Then the person’s hand pulled on one and I could FEEL them all moving inside. Then it cut to a person searching TVTropes for more info on it and it was like the first step of some horrific transformation into a parasite monster. I full on woke up after that. 21. I just had a really bonkers dream Already forgetting small details It was some kind of movie trailer, the star was done woman in her 20s who reminds me of Frankie Foster. She was visiting some weird store with a Seussisn/willy wonka vibe to it there was some kind of secret passage hidden via a special combo on a vending machine that had some Suessian monster guy inside near the machine was a taxidermied elephant man (actual humanoid elephant) nothing graphic but their skin was red and leathery and was apparently the dad of the guy in the vending machine the skin of the elephant guy was apparently a clue in some big treasure hunt too it ended with the woman leaving to go home and the monster guy saying something like “everyone needs a vacation or you’ll work yourself to death like my old man” pointing out the elephant guy at that point she asks if he was dead when they taxidermied him and the monster just shrugged and I think it was implied he wasn’t even dead but was totally fine and that’s honestly all I remember

Alright, i watched Supergirl 6x05 few hours ago but now i have time to write this down:
1. I think we needed to catch a break on the angst and yearning and this was a very light and goofy episode.
2. Chillax ft. Wazzup!
3. Brandon and Brenda, iconic. Hopefully their kids have these names tho.
4. Baby Danvers and Kenny🥺 they are so cute. Gotta say, Alex taking care of Kara since day one, it’s a hell of responsability for a kid.
5. Young Cat won my heart.
6. Did i say how much i missed having a goofy episode?
7. Poor Nia missing her mom :( i totally understand her. Not having someone to help her understand how her powers works it’s really hard.
8. Brainy stress eating once again. Yup, that’s me.
9. Also Brainy excelling all activities in school. What a king
10. Both Nia and Brainy looked so good on their outfits
11. Wait so after Crisis Jeremiah was supposed to be alive but he died on Peru i think helping aliens, yet in this episode Alex says he sacrificed his life, can someone explain that?
12. Nia singing to Brainy to help him :’) that was way too cute
13. Baby Kara always wanting to save people, it’s her nature to help others.
14. Professor Danvers™️
15. The actresses that plays the younger versions of Alex, Kara and Cat are really good. Totally love the chemistry between young Kara and Alex.
17. No Lena or Kelly but hey, i’m preparing myself for that comeback, i’m sure it’s gonna be really good.
Final thoughts: as i said before, this was such a nice episode that made me laugh and brought me back to season 1 vibes. I remember how light this show was and even though it not as heavy as Arrow, i certainly had more angst on later seasons so it was nice to change the pace for one episode (and of course the next one) to remind us how things were back in the day

My 30 Favorite Arrowverse Episodes:
This list reflects my personal opinion and is in no way objective. Everyone has their own taste. Also Love is Love and can not be measured – except on stupid lists like this one. If an episode is not on it, that does not mean I don’t like it (unless it does). Everyone ist entiteled to their own opinion, so please respect mine and don’t reblog or answer to that just to tell me how wrong mine is.
30. The Fellowship of the Spear (Legends of Tomorrow Episode 2.15/31, Written by: Keto Shimizu, Matthew Maala, Directed by: Ben Bray)
This episode is “Legends”-Homage to Tolkien and his works. However the most quotes and nods go to the Peter Jackson Movies, which is no problem, because we love them too. The Legends recruit Tolkien out of the trenches for a treasure hunt, however things go bad and some fans were not to happy with one of the team betraying their own at the end of this episode. But don’t you guys remember Boromir? I really love this one, because it combines two of my favorite things: “Legends of Tomorrow” und Middle Earth.
29. Flashback (The Flash Episode 2.17/40, Written By: Aaron Helbing, Todd Helbing, Directed By: Alice Troughton)
In this episode Barry travels backt to the time of Season 1 and therefore changes the outcome of the Season 1 Episode in question and creates a new timline, which no one but him notices. Later on stuff like this would happen all the time, but this was the first instance, and it was very very wild to have Barry knock out Barry and pretend to be Season 1 Barry. Also we got Eobard and Eddie back and given how much I love both of them it no wonder I love this episode.
28. The Last Temptation of Barry Allen Part 1 (The Flash 6.07/121, Written By: Jonathan Butler, Gabriel Garza, Directed By: Chad Lowe)
Here Barry is infected by Ramsay who gets in his head and in the Speed Force which tries to help but ends up getting attacked by an paranoid and confused Barry, who finally gets to voice all of his frustration about the Speed Force and the way it interfered in his life. This is a very emotional episode that confronts Barrys immanent death, all the losses he had do bare and his conflicted feelings about everything that is going on in his life at this point of his story.
27. The Once and Future Flash (The Flash 3.19/65, Written by: Carina Adly MacKenzie, Directed By: Tom Cavanagh)
In this episode we get to visit the future in which Iris was killed by Savitar. Barry ends up there while trying to find out more about his foe. It’s a dark and depressing „What If“, where we get to see new sides most of our characters and this episodes dives deep into the immanent darkness of the seemingly so bright „Flash“-TV-Series.
26. The Adventures of Supergirl (Supergirl 2.1/21, Written by: Greg Berlanti, Andrew Kreisberg, Jessic Queller, Directed by: Glen Winter)
This essentially is a Crossover Episode, even though it took Superman three more years to get his own show. However the episode acts as if there is an existing Superman-Show that crosses over into „Supergirl“. This version of the character is as adorable as Kara and a very good antidote to the Snyder Version of the character. Oh, and it does help that the episode is good as well.
25. Nora (The Flash 5.01/93, Written By: Todd Helbing, Sam Chalsen, Directed by: David McWhirter)
Season 5 opens up extremly strong with this episode where Barry and Iris meet their future daughter, who has some secrets up her sleeve that change everything for next one and a half seasons. Nora is perfectly portrayed in this one as a mixture of both of her parents and manages to screw up the timeline imediatly, while everyone is still reeling from the fallout oft the last season finale.
24. The Brave and the Bold (Arrow Episode 3.8/54, Written by: Greg Berlanti, Andrew Kreisberg, Marc Guggenheim, Grainne Godfree, Directed by: Jesse Warn)
Crossovers were the moments „Arrow“ had a chance to let ist hair down and just be a little bit different for a while. This one has Barry, Caitlin, and Cisco visiting Starling City and the Flash and the Arrow teaming up against Captain Boomerang. It’s still Arrow, but with a splash of „The Flash“ in it, which makes it funnier and nerdier then „Arrow“ usually is. I always loved it.
23. Haunted ( Arrow Episode 4.5/74, Written by: Brian Ford Sullivan, Oscar Balderrama, Directed by: John Badham)
John Constantine crosses over in the Arroverse in this episode which reveals Olivers dealings with him in the past and shows him restoring Saras soul. With this episodes the show started to embrace it supernatural arc, which many fans weren’t too fond of in latter part of this season, but this episodes remains a favorite because here „Arrow“ got mystically weird. Also Johnny Constantine tends to make everything better and we got Sara back, so it’a clearly a win.
22. Kapishon (Arrow Episode 5.17/109, Written By: Brian Ford Sullivan, Emilo Ortega Aldrich,Directed By: Kevin Tancharoen)
This is the episode in which Adrian Chase manages to break Oliver. That sounds painful and yes it is very painful, but it’s really really great at the same time. This episodes asks all the uncomfortable questions the show seemed to shy away from in the previous seasons, builds on Season 5s solid Bratva-Flashback Arc and even presents us Anatoly meeting Malcolm Merlyn. It’s cleary a highlight of the show.
21. The Bottle Episode (Supergirl Episode 5.10/97, Written by: Derek Simon, Directed by: Tawnia McKiernan)
The Post Crisis Carzyness lived in this episode. We got a lot of doppelgangers, most of them Brainys, and a lot of chaos, I mean more chaos then most other shows usually have, except for „Legends“. So I guess this episode was „Supergirl“ trying to do an episode of „Legends“. Also Brainy evolves in this one, so it wasn’t just for the laughs. In short: There was nothing not to like in this one.
20. Welcome to Earth-2/Escape from Earth-2 (The Flash Episodes 2.13-14/36-37, 36: Written By: Greg Berlanti, Andrew Kreisberg, Katherine Walczak, Directed By: Millicent Shelton, 37: Written By: Aaron Helbing, Todd Helbing, David Kob, Directed By: J. J. Makaro)
This two parter is the first time we ever visited a parallel earth. We visit Earth-2 in this, where pretty much everything and everyone is different. Adorable Nerd Barry, Cop Iris, Singer Joe and many more ahoy. But Deadshot of Earth-2 is the best thing about this reality. Too bad it pretty much everyone from over there was done away with later, but we will always have these episodes, so that is something.
19. Out of Time (The Flash Episode 1.15/15, Written By: Aaron Helbing, Todd Helbing, Directed By: Thor Freudenthal)
Time Travel is an important plot element of the Arrowverse, but it wasn’t always so. This is the first episode where Barry discovers that he can time travel, after kissing and losing Iris and witnessing the end of Central City. Which is one of those „everyone dies“ instances that are always cool and I always love. Also it’s Season 1 of „The Flash“, where they really couldn’t go wrong most of the time.
18. Starling City (Arrow Episode 8.1/ 161, Written by: Beth Schwartz und Marx Guggenheim, Directed by: James Bamford)
In this one we are essentially reliving the „Arrow“- pilot with a few signifcant changes. Turns out we are actually on Earth-2 and Oliver pretends to be his doppelganger in order to do a thing for The Monitor. Until the shocking ending, this on is like everyone favorites „Arrow“ fanfic come to live. Even the flashforwards were not bothering me in this.
17. Flash VS Arrow (The Flash 1.8/8, Written By: Ben Sokoloswki,m Brooke Eikmeier, Greg Berlanti, Andrew Kreisberg, Directed By: Glen Winter)
This one was the first real Crossover Episode of the Arrowverse and it blended classic comic book action which Season 1 „Flash“-Style, meaning it was beyond great. We never quite saw Oliver like this before and not very often after, and seeing him and Barry connect is just one of the joys of this superior episode.
16. Worlds Finest (Supergirl Episode 1.18/18, Written by: Greg Berlanti, Andrew Kreisberg, Michael Grassi, Directed by: Nick Gomez)
Speaking of the first seasons and Crossovers. This was the Crossover we always wanted, but never believed we would get, because back then “Supergirl” was on another network. But we got it anyway. Barry gets stranded on Karas Earth, which leads to a lot of chaos, many nice moment and fine jokes. This was one of the clear highlights of Season 1, and it paved the way for the season finale as well as future crossovers.
15. Myriad/Better Angles (Supergirl 1.19/19-1.20/20, Written By: Yahling Chang, Caitlin Parrish; Ali Adler, Andrew Kreisberg, Robert Rovner, Jessica Queller Directed By: Adam Kane; Larry Teng)
Season 1 of „Supergirl“ ended with this „all or nothing“ two-parter where everything came head to head. Driven and energatic „Supergirl“ cemented itself as one of the superior superheroe shows of it’s time. I loved the show, I loved Kara, I loved Cat and especially in this one.
14. Camelot 3000 (Legends of Tomorrow Episode 2.12/28, Written By: Anderson MacKenzie, Directed By: Antionio Negret)
From the far future to Camelot and King Arthur – this episodes travelled far and mixed those two areas up quite nice. In true Legends fashion Ray became a Knight of the Round Table, Sara got to hit on Guenevere, and Mick got to beat the adversary army with his brain. Yes, you read that one right. Just ask poor Martin about it. Given how much a love both Arthurian lore and the Legends this one remains one of my favorite up to today.
13. Meet the Legends (Legends of Tomorrow Episode 5.1/69, Written by: Grainne Godfree, James Eagan, Directed by: Kevin Mock)
In this episodes Ava tries to race money for the Time Bureau by making a documentary about the Legends and their work. This episode is the documentary and the making oft he documentary. Think Arrows „Emerald Archer“ only way carzier and funnier. The Legends meet Rasputin who kidnappes the camera team, while Ava writes Sara a very weird condolence note, everyone is acting weird(er) because cameras, and well it’s „Legends“ only even nuttier than normally. I love it.
12. Invasion! (2) (Arrow 5.8/100, Written by: Greg Berlanti, Marc Guggenheim, Wendy Mericle, Directed by: James Bamford)
In the middle of the big „Invasion“ Crossover „Arrow“ celebrated its 100the episode by looking at a world where the Gambit never sank. While the writers cleary had fun with Barry and Kara in this one, the heart lies in the dream reality, where things are better but sadly not real. Oliver, Thea and the others need to chose the life they want and weg et rewarded with a really great episode while they do so.
11. Raiders of the Lost Art (Legends of Tomorrow Episode 2.9/25, Written by: Keto Shimizu, Chris Fedak, Directed by: Dermott Downs)
This is officially the episode where „Legends“ went nuts. Oh and it’s a delicous one. George Lucas never became a filmmaker after being scared of by Malcolms and Damiens attempts to kill amnesiac Rip Hunter who thinks he is an American filmstudent, whose script is basically the plot of the shows first season. Too bad he can’t find a decent Vandal Savage. And that everyone thinks he is this Rip Hunter guy. Also Mick gets a brain surgey, Ray and Nate change occupations, and Amayas babysits their attempt to get George Lucas back to film school, and thanks god she does otherwise … well otherwise there would be no „Star Wars“ or „Indiana Jones“, would there?
10. Beebo the God of War (Legends of Tomorrrow 3.9/42, Written by: Grainne Goodfree und James Eagan, Directed by: Kevin Mock)
This was supposed to be the sad goodbye to Martin Stein and it still is that as well, but mostly it’s the episode about Beebo Day. You know, the blue god, who hungers for war and conquest? Whose birthday we celebrate once a year in december and … wait? What was I talking about? Oh, yeah Leo tries to make Mick quit drinking and Beebo get’s squeezed a lot. Well you have to see that one to know why it’s a great one, but believe me it is great.
9. Elseworlds 1-3 (Flash, Arrow, Supergirl, Part 1: The Flash Episode 5.9/101, Written By: Eric Wallace und Sam Chalsen, Directed By: Kevin Tancharoen und Tom Cavanagh, Part 2: Arrow Episode 7.9/147, Written by: Marc Guggenheim und Caroline Dries, Directed by: James Bamford, Part 3: Supergirl Episode 4.9/74, Written by: Mac Guggenheim, Derek Simon und Rob Rovner, Directed by: Jesse Warn)
In this Crossover Oliver und Barry switch identities which no one on Earth-1 believes, but Kara’s help leads to an evil not-quite Superman and a brand new reality. Also we are introduced to Batwoman and Gotham. And Lois Lane. Well, there is a lot going in there - even Gary guest stars on „Supergirl“ – but mainly Oliver is Barry and Barry is Oliver and that if fun and Kara makes a connection with the Elseworld version of Earth-1 Alex Danvers which is also great.
8. Legends of To-Meow-Meow (Legends of Tomorrow Episode 4.8/59, Written by: James Eagan und Ray Utarnachitt, Directed by: Ben Bray)
Sulky about missing out on the Crossover the Legends crossovered with themselves in Season 4. John and Charlie destroyed the timeline for selfish reasons, and now everything is wrong and everything they do makes things worse instead of better. Zari gets to spend most of the episode as a cat, the rest of the Legends get turned into puppets, we meet the Sirens of Spacetime and the Custodians of the Chronology, and a gay kiss saves all of spacetime. Why can’t all shows be more like „Legends“?
7. The Scientist/Three Ghosts (Arrow Episode: 2.8/31-2.9/32, 32: Written by: Greg Berlanti, Andrew Kreisberg, Geoff Johns, Ben Sokolowski, Directed by: Michael Schultz, John Behring)
This two parter introduces us to Barry Allen and culuminates in the „Arrow“-Version of a „Christmas Carol“ Oliver gets visited by three ghosts and Barry gets hit by lightning. Among other things. All very good stuff – I watch „Three Ghosts“ every Christmas, if I manage to get around to it. But this also is very the Arrowverse was born. And back then it was the best of „Arrow“ they ever did. And it still stands out today, combindes strong Flashbacks with a strong Main Story, which is all we ever wanted from „Arrow.“
6. Resist/Nevertheless, She Persisted (Supergirl 2.21/41-2.22/42, Written by: Derek Simon, Jessica Queller, Andrew Kreisberg, Robert Rovner, Caitlin Parrish, Directed by: Milicent Shelton, Glen Winter)
Season 2 of „Supergirl“ ends with a very strong two-parter that features the Daxamits Invasion of earth. Superman is in it, but these are all about Kara who get’s inspired by Cat Grant again, goes on to inspire everyone else in turn, faces of against the truly evil mother of the love of her life, and has to make a big sacrifice. The two parter was especially well written and no season finale of the show later ever measured up to it afterwards.
5. Reset (Arrow Episode 8.6/166, Written by: Onalee Hunter Hughes und Maya Houston, Directed by: David Ramsey)
Yes it’s a time loop episode in „Arrow“! Yes, it’s still „Arrow“, it will still break your heart. But it’s probably the moment the show embraced it’s funny pages origin the most wholehearted. It will make you cry in all the right ways. We get to say goodbye to Quentin in a prober way in this finally and that is beautiful. And Oliver gets around to accept his destiny which is heart breaking, but still this is my favorite episode of „Arrow“ if you get right down to it.
4. Fast Enough (The Flash 1.23/23, Written By: Greg Berlanti, Andrew Kreisberg, Gabrielle Stanton, Directed By: Dermott Downs)
Season 1 of „The Flash“ has the strongest Season Finale in the history of the Arrowverse. In a very real way it could only get downhill from here. This one will break your heart in so many ways, but it’s the good sort of pain, that makes an impact, may even destroy a part of you, but makes you come out stronger in the end. The whole season comes together in this one and never falls apart (that will only happen later, if you think about it, but it’s explained away by later reveals). Sadly neither this show nor the others could ever measure up to this one, but on the other hand that is exactly what made it special.
3. The Faithful (Supergirl 3.4/46, Written By: Paula Yoo, Katie Rose Rogers, Directed by: Jesse Warn)
This one is my favorite episode of „Supergirl“. Mainly because this is what a certain director tried to do nut failed at in three movies: An exploration of the idea that Kryptonians are essentially Gods compared to humans. This episode is always respectful and has much to say, it touches on Karas own faith, shows us a new and intriguing side of James, and creates a villain that should have ruled the show and the season, but who sady stumbled later. In this one though Coville is just perfect. Like the whole episode.
2. Duet (The Flash Episode 3.17/63, Written By: Aaron Helbing, Todd Helbing, Greg Berlani, Andrew Kreisberg, Directed By: Dermott Daniels Downs)
It’s the Musical Episode! This „Flash“/„Supergirl“-Crossover has all the jazz – singing, dancing, kissing, opening up about feelings – and also a mini „Glee“-Reunion. Kara and Barry are trapped in a Musical Dream World and doomed to follow the plot, while Wally has to confront Darren Crisses Musis Meister. For vocals sakes the episode also includes John Barrowman and Victor Gaber of course, because there was no excuse to make this episode without them. I love this one just as much as it was to be expected and I will never forgive them for never making another Musical episode in any of the shows.
1. The One Where We are trapped on TV (Legends of Tomorrow Episode 5.13/81, Written by: Grainne Godfree, James Eagan, Directed by: Marc Guggenheim)
And the award for the Craziest TV Episode of all time goes to this one, where the Legends are trapped on TV. Charlie put them there to protect them, and so we get very familiar but strange versions of „Friends“, „Downtown Abbey,“ and „Star Trek“ with the Legends as the main characters instead. We also meet a murderous Mister Parker, get another musical number lead by the Tarazi siblings, and are as amazed as Mona about everything that is going on here. Can „Legends“ ever top what they did here? Or anything else in the Arrowverse? Let’s not challenge them, I am sure they can. But until then, we have this one, which of course is not only my favorite episode of „Legends“ but also the whole Arrowverse.

So it's official, there's nothing left between now and Crisis on Infinite Earths. Any last thoughts before it starts?
A list of wishes, classified by likelihood:
Here’s hoping!
* Brandon Routh and Kevin Conroy get a scene together and are preferably addressed as the World’s Finest, since they’re almost certainly from the same Earth and the clear idea there is positioning the Donnerverse Superman and DCAU Batman as literal peers to match the power of their iconography.
* Earths 1 and 38 merge but the multiverse remains (perhaps reorganized; no reason for Jay Garrick for instance not to be on Earth-2 now that the original trick of switching 2 and 3 no longer serves a purpose).
* The odd contradictory stuff with the Monitor that we’ve seen is revealed to be a product of him and the Anti-Monitor actually being two aspects of the same being.
* Some sort of note of the major Batwoman timeskip given I think everything in that series so far takes place pre-Elseworlds.
* Danny Trejo, a multiversal cop who was already recently brought back, sticks his head in during the final battle to be Danny Trejo in Crisis on Infinite Earths stabbing and shooting the death of all things.
* Lynda Carter shows up even if she likely can’t be acknowledged directly as Wonder Woman. Probably also on the Kingdom Come Earth?
* That guy who we all know is John Stewart becomes a Green Lantern, and he throws up the first time he flies as the culmination of that running gag.
* A solid first onscreen confrontation between Hoechlin’s Superman and Cryer’s Luthor (and for that matter Luthor with Tulloch’s Lois).
* Other DCAU voice actors who have played assorted roles in these shows briefly appear as live-action versions of their animated counterparts, or at least Mark Hamill (at minimum a recording or echoey memory of him laughing on the Kingdom Come Earth, for the love of god).
* Since I hear Black Lightning is set on a relatively realistic Earth without other superheroes, play a lot with him being caught up in all this nonsense with characters who he’d known as fictional.
* Speaking of which, the episode of Black Lightning that I just saw apparently ties in is accessible, since I’ll want to check that out. I hear that show’s really good!
* There’s some sort of at least minor bit of the Supermen comparing costumes, laying the groundwork for improvement on the side of the ‘prime’ guy.
Wouldn’t count on it, but it’s not impossible either!
* Conroy as Batman also meets Welling and Hoechlin, as Welling getting to meet a Batman would be the fulfillment of a longtime dashed dream, and Hoechlin as the best Superman should get to meet the best Batman.
* Some sort of resolution to the occasional light hints that there’s an important reason there isn’t a Superman or Supergirl on Earth-1.
* There’s specification or at least room for interpretation that Lois didn’t necessarily die on Earth Kingdom Come, it seems likely but I’d prefer it didn’t hew quite to that aspect of the source material.
* John Shea’s Lex Luthor shows up, that dude ruled.
* Green Arrow’s “The entire universe needs you” line to Superman isn’t (just) a reinforcement that he’s got an important job he’d better not fuck up or a bolster at a low moment, but a pep talk and/or acknowledgement that he as Superman (and a lead of an upcoming series) is the guy they need at the front on this.
* Since they’re paired in the poster, Superman and Constantine are forced to work together and absolutely hate each other.
* Routh either survives to occasionally guest star as the equivalent of the old Earth-2 Superman on Superman and Lois - maybe he just could be on Earth-2 in a reordered multiverse alongside Conroy, Carter, and Shipp’s Garrick - or plays a suitably major role in saving the multiverse with his heroic sacrifice.
* Lucifer from that show is in this after all and is very pointedly confirmed to have fucked John Constantine.
* Conroy growls “I was Batman”.
* Speaking of Batman Beyond, have Will Friedle make a cameo as Terry, if only in voiceover on a comm link.
* I don’t know the exact limitations of how Batman can appear in the non-Fox TV shows; clearly it’s somewhat porous. Would Conroy in the Kingdom Come Bat-armor be permissible?
* The gathering of heroes here is directly referred to as the Justice League.
* Smallville Clark mentions having dealt with Monitors before in passing acknowledgement of Smallville Season 11, which the writers mentioned they know of and at least won’t actively contradict.
* Welling wears a damn super-suit.
* Everything about the Legion of Superheroes is completely changed; all their history is revised and all actors are recast. I actually have no idea whether this would be a good or bad thing, but tradition’s tradition.
* A subtle shot at Dean Cain given why he’s not showing up.
Sigh. A boy can dream.
* Welling sees Routh and - since it’s technically supposed to be Christopher Reeve - exclaims “Doctor Swan?!”
* The Monitor displays ‘viewscreens’ of other universes, and someone leaps back in shock when George Reeves’ Clark Kent looks directly at said screen and winks.
* Uncle Sam is in this and tells everyone to stop for a second so he can give a speech about how saving the multiverse from the Anti-Monitor is really...about freedom, and Cryer’s Luthor exclaims ‘I hate his guts, but by god he’s right!’ Otherwise this will never be a spiritually true adaptation.
* Ezra Miller puts his money where his mouth is and makes a little cameo.
* The Monitor appears before Barry Allen as he’s about to sacrifice himself and confirms that the actual reason he’s lured him into this is as rightful punishment for his disrespectful Superman impression, and as he’s agonizingly torn apart atom by atom Flash’s final screamed utterance is “I objectively deserve this!”
* Justin Hartley shows up but as Aquaman.
* Oliver Queen survives in spite of cosmic odds to the contrary through naught but his wits and his will, and nothing seems to be standing in the way of him resuming his life and career after all. Except remember when he hilariously puffed out his chest in naked insecurity upon meeting Superman? That, except he meets Conroy’s Batman, and he just starts sobbing and runs away, never to be seen again, and that’s how Arrow for-real ends.
* Burt Ward puts on DKR Bat-armor to join the final battle and kicks an utterly stupendous amount of ass.
* Now that Roy Harper’s doing a Rise of Arsenal, (which is how I learned I am a maniac, given my what I can only describe as childlike glee when I realized what was about to happen in the last episode of Arrow) he injects a shitload of whatever that super strength drug is that gives him Bloodlust™ and goes ham on the Anti-Monitor with a dead cat.
* An unsubtle shot at Dean Cain given why he’s not showing up.
* I can get the damn Walmart tie-in comics. Most of the time the place near me is reliable with those, but they still haven’t gotten the last issue of King/Kubert Superman and I’ll probably just have to give in and get Superman: Up In The Sky #6 to get the final chapter Saturday or Sunday. I’m assuming my luck will hold steady with this.

End of the year Asks
This meme was generated by @magikyle and as always if you want to reblog, please do so from the OP. I’m only reposting because I’m answering them in full and not as a traditional ask meme.
Song of the year? “Sinners” by Lauren Aquilina
Album of the year? Hozier (I know it’s not unique to this year, but it was my most consistent listen!)
Favorite musical artist / group you started listening to this year? I don’t know if I’ve listened to anyone new this year. I spent a good chunk of the year listening exclusively to podcasts.
Movie of the year? Terminator Dark Fate or Charlie’s Angels.
TV show of the year? Supergirl, despite everything. I’m still hooked.
Episode of tv or webisode that defined the year for you? Episode 5x01 of Supergirl
Favorite actor of the year? Katie McGrath, bc it doesn’t specify NEW actor, and I’m a basic bitch.
Game of the year? Assassin’s Creed Odyssey!
Best month for you this year? Please do not me ask to remember what happened in which month. Just... don’t. My brain doesn’t work like that.
Something that made you cry this year? Everything?? Depression is tough, yo.
Something you want to do again next year? Travel travel travel...
Talk about a new friend you made this year My work friend is my betta sensei, and has been a much-needed connection when my depression otherwise isolated me. It was totally unexpected but I’m really grateful for her friendship.
How was your birthday this year? The absolute worst.
Favorite book you read this year? I’m a little ashamed to say I haven’t read many books from start to finish this year. There’s been a LOT of writing.
What’s a bad habit you picked up this year? Randomly tsking while thinking. It’s literally popped up in the last week because of the cat.
Post a picture from the beginning of the year. Pass
Post a picture from the end of the year. Pass
A memorable meal this year? Any of the delicious new curries I’ve tasted. They’re the best!
What’re you excited about for next year? Exploring my career as a writer!
What’s something you learned this year? That self-kindness takes practice, and therapy is vital.
What’s something new about your place of residence (room, home, or general location) now vs the start of the year? I live alone now!
Favorite place you visited this year? Austria, probably. I spent a lot of time on my own, and got to explore quite a bit.
If you could send a message to yourself back on the first day of the year, what would it be? Be kind to yourself. It’ll get better.
Did you keep any New Year’s Resolutions? I did. I wrote not one, but two original stories for submission and publication.
Did you create any characters (in games, art, or writing) this year? Describe one. I created several! One is a modern incarnation of King Arthur, who is an everyman kind of dude. He’s loyal to his friends... a loyalty tested when one is revealed to be the reincarnation of his legendary mortal enemy.

Thoughts on Rewatching Supergirl Season 2
I do like how we pick up right where we left off in the Season 1 finale.
I like the “new” DEO facility.
Ugh, Mon-El. Maybe, I’ll like him more this time around?
Winn does seem to fit in with the tech/science areas of the DEO, but I still miss him at CatCo. But he probably was wasted in IT.
Glad that we got in some Cat Grant for the first few episodes of Season 2.
James & Kara have their first date.
Tyler Hoechlin is so miscast as Superman. Way too young. His hair is too short.
As much as I don’t like Tyler’s Superman (and his Clark is meh), I do love the Super cousin teamup.
It’s not enough that Alex had chemistry and an antagonistic flirtation with Maxwell Lord, but she seemed to have a crush on Superman/thinks he smells good, which makes Alex being a lesbian seem odd in retrospect.
With “Jimmy” being taller, hotter, and more built than Superman, even more evidence of wonky casting. I love this James, but Clark/Superman should be even better.
I love that Cat has a crush on Clark, but she seems way too old for Tyler’s Superman. Even more evidence of miscasting.
Yay, Lena Luthor! AKA the best thing about Supergirl Season 2.
I’m sorry, but I see NO EVIDENCE from Season 1 or the Season 2 premiere that James and Kara are only friends. That’s after admitting that I was Team Winn, Team Adam, and Team Lucy at different points. They fucking had the chemistry! Such bullshit to push the Karamel agenda.
Snapper Carr’s speech to Kara about journalists was the best. She didn’t earn the job.
Still hate Cat leaving even though yes, we do all need some change in our lives.
I don’t feel like James earned Cat’s job.
I love Kara and Lena’s friendship, even though it takes a few more seasons for the truth to come out.
I like Maggie, but she was kind of annoying in her first episode.
Kara needs to learn how to keep her bias out of her writing.
I wasn’t a big fan of the Guardian storyline the first time. Maybe, I will like it better this time?
I still like M’gann M’orzz.
Jeremiah infiltrating the DEO as a Cadmus spy was obvious. Why was Mon-El the only one who saw through him?
Loved the crossovers (”Invasion” and “Duet”), although they could have utilized Supergirl more.
I liked the Daxamite story. Lar Gand seemed to be a decent king, while Rhea was a horrible mother, wife, queen, and person, in general.
But I really did like the mother/daughter relationship between Rhea and Lena, definitely moreso than Lena’s relationship with her step/adoptive mother Lillian.
Okay, as much as I hated Mon-El in the beginning, he has grown on me. Maybe it’s just Chris Wood’s acting?
Loved Cat Grant’s scenes in the last few episodes of the season.
While it was cool to have Lynda Carter recur as a female president, having her be an alien was both good and bad. Good for showing not all aliens are bad. But the fact that she was born on another planet means that she literally can’t be POTUS since she is not a natural born citizen. And the lies and secrecy make her administration look bad and takes away all the good things she had accomplished.
Love Cat’s speech about how women are strong because they allow themselves to be vulnerable and can feel the depths of their emotions and know that they can get through it.
Yay! Confirmation that Cat realized that Kara is Supergirl. Oh, I loved how Cat reacted to James as the Guardian. “I can see your eyes.”
Soon to be on to Season 3. I did like the teases with baby Reign and Mon-El flying through a time vortex/wormhole to the 30th century.

Red Faced
Re-watching season one's Red Faced and man I can't believe how much of an ass James was to Kara.
No I didn't mean when he rejected her at the club, he was right to do that.
I mean how he treated her later. He knew that her behavior wasn't her fault, he wasn't even arsed about the whole basically assaulting him thing. No he was more concerned about the fact that Kara may have had fleeting bad thoughts about Lucy at some point.
He tells Kara as soon as she walks into his office that he knows it wasn't her fault, but he out right tells her with an attitude that despite it not being her fault he is not ok with her. He's pissed that she's had bad feelings towards Lucy at some point.
James' whole issue with Kara is that she isn't the perfect little super hero that he and everyone else expects her to be. That Kara may have actually had a bad thought once in her life.
Kara even tells James she doesn't think those things about Lucy and he's like 'yeah well you must have thought that at some point'.
James totally forgets that Lucy broke up with him about TWO days go because he neglected her in favor of pining after Supergirl/Kara and Lucy isnt stupid and could see it.
James doesn't even acknowledge that Kara's bad thoughts towards Lucy are partly his fault because he flirted with Kara from the moment he met her, neglected to tell he and Lucy weren't exactly fully broken up, then he got back with Lucy completely kicking Kara to the kirb but still enjoyed flirting and flaunting his relationship with Lucy in front of her. He even came to Kara for advice about his relationship with Lucy and even made Kara feel guilty and guilt tripped her into allowing him to tell Lucy HER secret. He didn't ask if he could tell Lucy, he told Kara he NEEDED to tell her to save his relationship. It was all James, James, James.
Thank f**k Lucy saw the light and broke up with him before he could out Kara to her.
What if that had gone tits up? Lucy is in the Army, wasn't a massive fan of Supergirl at the time and was General Lanes daughter. General Lane who would have loved to know who Supergirl is. There was no guarantee that Lucy wouldn't have told her dad. None of that even occurs to James though, as long as he can still be with Lucy while flirting with Kara and trying to play the hero in some way.
So yeah, no wonder poor Kara has some bad thoughts about Lucy. She has a few bad thoughts amplified by red k and she's suddenly an issue, but James treats Lucy horribly and plays with Kara's feeling and that's not an issue? F**k James Olsen!!
Poor Kara this whole episode is basically told she isn't allowed to have any bad thoughts at all. Cat tells her she isn't allowed a dark side, or basically an off day because she's a super hero. Then she has a bit of an attitude at the DEO and expresses her concern for her safety but Jonn gets to stay in the shadows, but instead of addressing her behavior Alex and Jonn act like she has to deal with it because there's no way Jonn can risk himself but Kara can. Then James acts disappointed in her because she had a bad thought or two about Lucy. Because thoughts are a crime now.
Essentially when Kara isn't being everyone's version of perfect there's suddenly an issue.
Kara even tells James her feelings he won't even let her finish her sentance. HE tells HER he needs time to think. She has to wait for him to decide if she's worth it or not? He's been f**king with her feelings the whole time!
Alex? Remember when Alex had NO idea about relationships? She tells Kara to swoop in and get with James the DAY after he breaks up with Lucy. The DAY after? Kara tells her she doesn't want to be a rebound, which is exactly what she would be , but Alex tells her she needs to snap James up before another Lucy Lane shows up! So ?? James is suddenly the most desirable man in National City with women just throwing themselves at him and Kara needs to be head of the cue? Gross!
James just walks out and leaves Kara feeling guilty, so she's feeling exactly the same as she did at the beginning of the Episode.
RAO! Kara threw Cat off of a BUILDING!! But at the end of the Episode Kara apologizes and Cat talks to her and allows her to sit with her for a while and encourages her. She doesn't dismiss her or act like Kara needs to make it up to her, she doesn't tell her she needs time to think or walk off on her. Kudos to Cat Grant and F**k James! Even Alex who had horrible things said to her by Kara and even had her arm broken, and was nearly heat visioned holds Kara's hand when she wakes up and talks to her, she doesn't dismiss her or act like Kara's not worth it.
But Kara has a bad thought towards Lucy and suddenly she's not good enough for James? Ugh!!

5 show meme thing
I was tagged by my lovely @outside-the-government! I’m like a week late doing this, but still. Thanks babe! ^^
Pick 5 shows, then answer the following questions. don’t cheat. tag 10 (or however many) peeps.
Shadowhunters
Rizzoli & Isles
Wynonna Earp
Miss Fisher’s Murder Mysteries
Supergirl
1. who is your favorite character in 2?
(Rizzoli & Isles) Maura Isles <3
2. who is your least favorite character in 1?
(Shadowhunters) Heidi something or other. Ugh.
3. what is your favorite episode of 4?
(Miss Fisher) Oh god there’s SO many good episodes. I think 1x13 “King Memses’ Curse” and 2x13 “Murder Under the Mistletoe” are major favourites, but the whole series is just so damn good, there’s not even a bad episode.
4. what is your favorite season of 5?
(Supergirl) Season 2!! Gay panic Alex is the best and the show was just so good, plus Lena. But also season 1 was really good too, with much more dynamic characters (anti hero Max Lord and the amazing Cat Grant being the two that appear in my head first. Also Astra was amazing).
5. who is your favorite couple in 3?
(Wynonna Earp) Wayhaught of course (Waverly/Nicole).
6. who is your favorite couple in 2?
(Rizzoli & Isles) There aren’t really many established couples in Rizzoli & Isles but of course I ship Maura/Jane. 8D
7. what is your favorite episode of 1?
(Shadowhunters) Ummm that’s a good question tbh. Idk, not a lot of episodes really stand out on their own for me, but I did enjoy 2x06 “Iron Sisters” and 3x10 “Erchomai”.
8. what is your favorite episode of 5?
(Supergirl) Oh man, there’s so many specific moments I love in Supergirl but I’m not sure about whole episodes. Anything with a lot of Alex or Lena is usually a good start lmao. Hm okay a few that stand out: 2x19 “Alex”, 2x18 “Ace Reporter”, 1x16 “Falling” and 1x20 “Better Angels”. Also many of the moments between Sam and Alex (and Ruby) in S3 are amazing and Alex and Lena in S4.
9. what is your favorite season of 2?
(Rizzoli & Isles) Well, I’m only up to 4 as of now, but the whole show is freaking amazing. I think Season 3 is my favourite so far, but there hasn’t been a bad episode of that show yet either!!!
10. how long have you watched 1?
(Shadowhunters) Only since last year, I think? Maybe 2 years? Not super long.
11. how did you become interested in 3?
(Wynonna Earp) Honestly I saw a crapton of gifs and was in love with Nicole before I even watched the show lmao. Red headed, badass lesbian? Count me the fuck in. Also the show seemed hilarious and action packed and I do not regret a single moment lmao
12. who is your favorite actor in 4?
(Miss Fisher) Ohh hmm good question, they’re all so good. Essie Davis is incredible as Phryne, but Ashley Cummings is so good as Dot, and I adore Nathan Page (Jack). Also the actors who play Mr. Butler, Bert, Cec, and Mac are all amazing too. They’re just all so good, okay?!
13. which do you prefer, 1, 2, or 5?
(Shadowhunters, Rizzoli & Isles or Supergirl). Goddamn, um... well they’re all SO different. Shadowhunters is practically pure fantasy, Supergirl is a healthy dose of fantasy mixed with ‘reality’ and R&I is reality-based. Supergirl has also seriously gone up and down in quality over its run, which makes me hesitate to pick it as an overall favourite. Shadowhunters has some weak plots and some weak characters but also some good plots and some amazing characters, which balances it out a bit. Rizzoli & Isles has very strong characters and some pretty enticing plot lines, with linear character arcs as well as the ‘crime of the week’ formula.
I suppose if I HAD to choose I’d choose Rizzoli & Isles but I’m not 100% sure if that’s because I genuinely like the show more or if it’s because it’s my newest obsession and I’m kind of consumed by it right now 😂
14. which show have you seen more episodes of, 1 or 3 ?
(Wynonna Earp / Shadowhunters) Um well they have the same amount of seasons so far but Shadowhunters has more episodes, so that one.
15. if you could be anyone from 4, who would you be?
(Miss Fisher) Probably Dot. Although maybe not because Hugh sucks. Maybe Phryne?
16. would a crossover between 3 and 4 work?
(Wynonna Earp / Miss Fisher) No, unless someone found a way to time travel haha
17. pair two characters in 1 who would make an unlikely but strangely okay couple.
(Shadowhunters) Ummm Clary/Izzy. Unlikely because I don’t think either of them is canonically queer, but I think they would work well together <3
18. overall, which show has the better storyline, 3 or 5?
(Wynonna Earp / Supergirl) Oh wow, um... I don’t know, honestly. They both have pretty solid and pretty bad storylines lmao. As far as entertainment goes, I’d say Wynonna Earp. Coherent-wise, I’d say Supergirl, but I’ve also disliked a lot of the writers’ choices over the last two seasons, so I still think Wynonna Earp wins.
19. which has the better theme music, 2 or 4
(Rizzoli & Isles / Miss Fisher) Well, both themes are just instrumental, so that makes them easier to compare. As much as I enjoy the Rizzoli and Isles’ theme, I think Miss Fisher definitely deserves the win here. The Miss Fisher’s Murder Mysteries theme is hella catchy!
Tagging: I have no idea who has and hasn’t done this by this point so please, if you want to do this, consider yourself tagged by me! And tag me back so I can see your answers! <3

Fandom Mashups Are On The Rise
Fact: Two fandoms are better than one. When your favorite fictional worlds collide, it’s a mashup made in fandom heaven. Fandom mashups are becoming more popular, with crossovers popping up in TV shows and movies, fan art, original cosplays, and even new collectibles, making pop culture hybrids a top trend in the geek world.
Fandom mashups have such a powerful impact because they join together two groups of extremely passionate fans — or two halves of your own geeky heart. While products and entertainment moments that feature themes from two separate worlds may be a little more niche — not every Dungeons & Dragons fan would get schwifty with Rick and Morty — they have the ability to draw fans from one property into another. And the most accessible way for companies to pull off this concept is with gotta-have-it merch — and lots of it. With the right properties and the right fan bases, the collaborations can be seamless and maintain the integrity of each brand.
Take FOCO’s line of Game of Thrones MLB Bobbleheads, for example. The cross-licensed series pairs Major League Baseball players and mascots with Game of Thrones characters and settings. The first series merges three distinct bobblehead styles — the Iron Throne, the Night King, and the Ice Dragon Viserion — with mascots and branding from all 30 MLB teams.
“We definitely think it’s an emerging category, this cross-licensed mashup that we’re going to explore,” says Matthew Katz, licensing manager at FOCO. “… We tried to make sure we had the right balance. You don’t want to go too far one way or the other because you want to capture the people who are superfans of either baseball or Game of Thrones, and then capture those people in the middle as well.”
The bobblehead collaboration started off as a partnership for MLB’s theme nights, during which every fan who walks through the stadium gates gets a promotional item, like a bobblehead. The promotion opened the door to a conversation on how to expand at retail, especially for people who couldn’t make it to the promo nights or desired a more high-end collectible than the ones handed out at the games.
A unique aspect of pop culture mashups is that it gives the creators a bit more freedom in playing around with storytelling. The Night King was an ominous Game of Thrones villain, but he’s a bit more lighthearted when he’s wearing team-themed armor and ditching his spear for a baseball bat made of ice with the team’s logo on it.
“Developing a non-traditional product line like this gives a fresh perspective and allows a fan who has love for both brands to get a refreshed look,” says Josephine Fusezi, MLB’s vice president of global consumer products. “Being able to play with key elements from both baseball and Game of Thrones gives the consumer something different and refreshing. It also gives us an opportunity to have a little fun with our fans.”
Response to the first bobblehead series was so positive that FOCO quickly developed a followup series in just six weeks, featuring characters such as the direwolf, the Kingsguard, and a White Walker, available now for preorder. New MLB theme nights began in June for a Netflix Stranger Things collaboration, too.
Fans will also know exactly who to call with Hasbro’s new Ecto-1 Ectotron figure. The Transformers universe already has heroic Autobots, evil Decepticons, and now ghosts! The iconic Ecto-1 Cadillac from the 1984 Ghostbusters movie is now a Transformers robot — a converting Paranormal Investigator called Ectotron. The figure comes with its own Proton Pack and Slimer accessory, and it converts between Ecto-1 and robot in 22 steps.
This year marks the 35th anniversaries of both Transformers and Ghostbusters, making it an ideal year to combine the best of both franchises. A five-part origin story from IDW Publishing will also be available this year, giving fans insight on Ectotron’s background.
“Brand anniversaries not only allow us to celebrate a franchise, but we can also tap into nostalgia around a brand,” says Tom Warner, senior vice president for the Transformers franchise at Hasbro. “The Transformers and Ghostbusters brands are filled with waves of millennial nostalgia as new parents share the toys and brands they loved as children with their own kids.”
Ectotron preorders sold out within 24 hours after the figure was revealed at Toy Fair New York in February, so additional preorders were made available. Fans should also be on the lookout for other potential Transformers and Ghostbusters collaborations soon, according to Warner.
“On the surface, the Transformers and Ghostbusters franchises may seem vastly different; however, they share more in common than one may expect,” Warner says. “Both have two passionate fandoms, sharing a mutual bond over out-of-this world storytelling rooted in science fiction. When combining both worlds, our goal was to create stories and a product that stays true to the origins of both brands.”
The Avengers movies are probably the most well-known, most popular crossovers, but they weren’t the first. Think of all the “most ambitious crossover event in history” memes that circulated around the time that Infinity War came out — and how we were reminded of Disney Channel’s That’s So Suite Life of Hannah Montana, which came out in 2006, or 2003’s The Rugrats Go Wild, in which the band of babies met Eliza and her family from The Wild Thornberries, on Nickelodeon.
Entertainment crossover content is so successful because fans of these franchises can see all of their favorite characters interacting in situations they normally wouldn’t, like when the Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles visited Gotham in Batman vs. Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles (2019). In this movie, the heroes in a half-shell and the Dark Knight team up when Shredder joins forces with Ra’s al Ghul, and all of the heroes need to work together to defeat the combined might of the Foot Clan and League of Assassins.
These crossovers can also span multiple age groups, such as Sesame Street’s “Respect Brings Us Together” campaign. Two commercials launched in April featuring Elmo and Cookie Monster, one of which starred the notably at-odds Lannister siblings from Game of Thrones. And if anyone can convince Cersei and Tyrion Lannister to get along, it’s Elmo.
Fan demand for this type of content is loud and clear, as is the case with The CW’s DC Universe. The network has created crossover content yearly since 2014 through its DC TV shows, starting with Arrow and The Flash. At the time, in December 2014, the two-part Arrowverse crossover between the two shows was the most-watched December telecast in seven years for the network, and the most-watched episode for both shows since their respective series premieres.
In 2016, the network’s #DCWeek event delivered The CW’s most-watched week in six years, featuring a four-night DC crossover between Arrow, The Flash, Supergirl, and DC’s Legends of Tomorrow. The CW’s fifth-annual Arrowverse crossover last year, Elseworlds, introduced Gotham City and Batwoman into the mix, and concluded with a tease of the Crisis on Infinite Earths crossover, set to air this fall.
The ratings for The CW’s crossover events clearly show that fans crave this content, and it’s safe to say we can expect more of it in the future.
Pop culture mashups also come from the most important community: the fans themselves.
While manufacturers and entertainment companies have the power to bring pop culture mashups to the masses, fans can express themselves through cosplay and fan art — without the shackles of licensing rights getting in the way. And here, creativity is key. Out-of-the-box fan mashups, including one-of-a-kind cosplays and stunning illustrations, all have one thing in common: They fuse two things that would likely never be together otherwise.
Eric Proctor is a digital artist at TsaoShin who draws vibrant fantasy pieces, with a heavy focus on pop culture artwork. His gallery features bright, fun, and whimsical pieces that incorporate characters, such as Stitch from Lilo & Stitch and Toothless from How to Train Your Dragon.
“For me, the crossovers are a Venn diagram where the two circles completely overlap of things that I absolutely love,” Proctor says. “So, any crossover that I’m currently doing is going to just be just that I love A and I love B, and I’d love to see A and B together.”
Proctor is currently working on an ongoing Grumpy Cat and Disney series, which had accidental roots. Proctor bought a new rig and tablet for his illustration setup and was practicing with his new equipment. He sketched out the iconic The Little Mermaid scene in which Ariel is singing on the rock with water splashing around her, and because he doesn’t like drawing people, he drew in Grumpy Cat as a last-minute decision. He showed it to his friends, expecting to delete it, but then people asked him what Disney scenario he was going to put Grumpy Cat into next — and the series was born.
“I say that I love both of those things, but one of the things I felt so guilty about making that particular series is that I really, really love Disney, but I’m putting Grumpy Cat in a scenario where it’s just ruining it,” Proctor says. “It’s this little bit of dark humor where you’re like, ‘I really love Disney, but honestly if Grumpy Cat was in it, this is probably what would happen.’ So it’s taking something that’s a little sacred and then ripping it to shreds a bit. I think the humor was one of those things I had to play around with.”
Proctor is currently working on his next Grumpy Cat Disney installment, a Cinderella-themed piece titled “Bippidi Boppidi No.” It will show the scene from the animated film in which the fairy godmother grants all of Cinderella’s wishes, but with everything completely ruined, such as a pumpkin dress, Lucifer the cat being the size of a horse, and other mishaps.
“It’s one of those situations where it’s so easy to imagine a lot of those crossovers together; they seem so real and fitting that it just feels like a marriage of two ideas that you’ve enjoyed both of those things so much,” Proctor says. “For me personally, when I look at a crossover that just succeeds so well, I just get so happy because someone else saw the thing that put those two things together and they made that real.”
With pop culture mashups, fans get to express themselves in a whole new way, and manufacturers and entertainment companies are taking note of the increasing fan demand and creative potential. The possibilities are limitless.

Knightmares, part 6
BATMAN #68 JUNE 2019 BY TOM KING, AMANDA CONNER, DAN PANOSIAN, JOHN TIMMS, MIKEL JANÍN, PAUL MOUNTS AND JORDIE BELLAIRE
SYNOPSIS + REVIEW + RANT
Join me for another terrifying episode in this never-ending saga named “Knightmares”. In this dark journey, we will go deep into Batman’s subconsciousness to find those things that can make even a dark knight shiver.
This horrifying story starts in the Fortress of Solitude (not the one in the Bermuda Triangle, but remember this is a dream, doesn’t need to be accurate), Supergirl helps Lois Lane and Selina Kyle get in, so they can have a bachelorette party. Supergirl leaves to take care of an asteroid, as Clark Kent took the night off for his Bachelor party with Bruce.
The next terrifying thing that happens when Lois and Selina enter the fortress: they are received by three cute Superman robots and they show them the way to a wine bodega with 37,000 wines from all over the galaxy... will one of these end up being poisonous for our protagonists? Continue reading... the answer will be... devastating.
Turns out, the wine is easily tolerated by the human digestive system. Phew, they dodged a bullet there, but the night isn’t over... certainly not at the Wayne Manor, where Bruce suppressed fears finally see the light.
Brrr... back at the Fortress, Lois takes Selina to the “Bodily Bliss”. A paradise pool that makes you want to stay there forever, originally one of Brainiac’s traps (this is what Bruce thinks Brainiac can come up with). Are these mighty women going to die in this pool? Something worse?
Then one of the things that make Bruce Wayne anxious the most... Selina’s feelings that she is alone in the world. She cannot believe Lois is her friend. This is not the first time Batman has Catwoman’s dreams in his mind. Maybe that’s why he is so smart.
After the pool, they try some superman suits and eventually sit for the show: The Superman robots become strippers, and I am going to assume Superman made them anatomically correct.
And a terrifying massage afterwards, by the almost naked men of steel bootlegs.
Then the moment that makes this comic... Clark and Bruce are discussing the reason Catwoman left him on that roof the day of their wedding, Clark theorizes that he drove her away because he couldn’t tell her that he hates being Batman, but loves that he has to be Batman. Shocking!
Eventually Bruce and Clark go to the fortress to pick-up their ladies and Selina tells Bruce, that she made a friend.
After this we see Batman, screaming in agony in a machine, while he is having this horrible, horrible nightmare.
I am going to ignore all possible mis-characterizations and possible continuity errors, because this is an imaginary story. However, the only thing that, I am guessing, has any meaning, is what Clark tells Bruce. I think this is probably a half-digested idea. It kind of makes sense, and it does have something to do with the failed wedding.
As we know, Bruce was the victim of a childhood trauma. After that event, he swore to fight crime forever. His trauma does not meet an end. It was designed to consume his whole life. If you compare him with Dick Grayson, who, with the help of Bruce, ironically, was able to overcome his trauma and grow up to be a functioning adult. Bruce will, apparently, never overcome the death of his parents, so in his mind, he is still that 8 or 10 year old boy. He just doesn’t have something that could take him out of that impossible quest. The one thing that could help Bruce give up that futile life mission is getting married. Sure, she is not very well in the head either, but as far as I can remember, she didn’t have a similar event in her life, she is just a thief because she likes other people’s pretty things. For Bruce growing up is the end of his Batman career. Selina somehow got to the same conclusion on that wedding night and left him, because she would be putting lives at risk if Batman is not around.
She has the ability to help Bruce overcome his childhood trauma, but decides to preserve the idea of Batman. Probably because she likes Batman more than Bruce (and their cat and mouse game).
So, when this pseudo Clark Kent tells Bruce that he loves that he has to be Batman, what he means is that he is hiding behind this persona to not make peace with his trauma. For him, fighting criminals and solving crimes... this lifetime dedication to fight for justice keeps him busy enough so that he doesn’t have to deal with the sorrow of losing his parents. In other words, Bruce will find any excuse to not grow up.
I am pretty sure this is not buried deeply into his subconscious, someone like Batman, having people around him that speak frankly with him like Alfred and Dick, has probably heard this theory before.
So why is this story a nightmare? And how does one thing connect with the other? The bachelorette night is a really weird dream for Bruce Wayne, does he dream he is Selina? Does he wish to have normal friends that do not have obligations like Clark or him? That do not need those obligations either?
There is no way the Lois and Selina sequence is unrelated to Batman’s psyche. But I am not Bruce Wayne, so I cannot do free association about this dream. So my guess is that Bruce feels lonely and the temptation of stop being Batman, taking a night off, have fun, be a regular person... that is what he was probably thinking about when he decided to get married. He was trying to be happy. Too bad that the wedding was canceled by Selina and not him, otherwise this theory would make some sense. But the lack of emotion in the Clark sequences support the idea that he is not particularly happy with his super-hero life.
To me this story makes more sense than the Looney Tunes one... but it is still an imaginary story, an exploration on the character. Which is fine, it’s an acceptable story for a character with more than 80 years... but come man, you decided to leave us on a cliffhanger like four months ago... these issues are not moving the plot at all. So I really hope all of these explorations on Batman’s subconscious pay off in the end.
I give this issue a score of 7

Actors Who’ve Disappeared From The Spotlight
Celebrities & Pop Culture Some of these stars haven't been seen on the big screen in years. Anna Weaver 2018-09-05
Getty Images | Scott Halleran Celebrities who’ve reached household name status are often expected to stay that way. While it can be hard to imagine big-name stars slipping out of the spotlight, it happens. For some, it’s an intentional choice to step away from acting. Others simply are just waiting for a role that really gets them jazzed. Check out all the Hollywood stars we haven’t seen onscreen in years.
Michael Schoeffling
Could any teenage heartthrob ever hold a candle to Jake Ryan from “Sixteen Candles”? As loyal Jake Ryan fans may know, the actor who played him, Michael Schoeffling, has left Hollywood behind. After memorable roles in “Mermaids” and “Wild Hearts Can’t Be Broken,” he disappeared. Schoeffling now apparently lives in Pennsylvania and has a carpentry business. He and his wife have two grown children, including a model daughter.
Universal Pictures
Stacey Dash
Stacey Dash made a name for herself in “Clueless” as Cher’s best friend. But her acting career has fizzled since then. Nowadays, Dash is known more for being a conservative political activist. She’s appeared as a FOX News commentator and recently ran for a congressional seat before deciding to pull out from the race.
Getty Images | Kevin Winter
Phoebe Cates
Best known for her roles in “Gremlins” and “Fast Times at Ridgemont High,” Phoebe Cates left acting years ago. She’s married to actor Kevin Kline, with whom she has two children. Cates did appear in the 2001 movie “The Anniversary Party,” but only as a favor to friend Jennifer Jason Leigh.
Getty Images | Frazer Harrison
Catherine Zeta-Jones
Catherine Zeta-Jones has kept a lower profile in recent years. Up until recently, the Oscar winner’s last big project was 2012’s “Rock of Ages.” She’s been open about her bipolar disorder diagnosis and also dealt with husband Michael Douglas’ cancer battle. But Zeta-Jones came back to larger acting roles with last year’s “Feud” and is currently working on a TV show called “Queen America.”

Sarah Michelle Gellar
The “Buffy the Vampire Slayer” and “Cruel Intentions” actress has left acting on the back burner. Instead, she’s been focusing on her new company, Foodstirs, which makes sustainable, fair trade and organic baking products. She has two kids with husband and fellow actor Freddie Prinze Jr.
Getty Images | Emma McIntyre
Freddie Prinze Jr.
After playing a teen heartthrob in “She’s All That” and other films, starring in the live-action movie remake of “Scooby-Doo” and leading his self-titled one-season show “Freddie,” Freddie Prinze Jr. left much of acting behind. He prefers to be a stay-at-home dad with side jobs like being the voice of a “Star Wars Rebels” character. He has also written a cookbook, “Back to the Kitchen,” and continues to have a strong marriage with Sarah Michelle Gellar.
Getty Images | Nicholas Hunt
Matthew Fox
“Party of Five” and “Lost” made Matthew Fox famous, but he hasn’t made a movie since 2015 and has gone on the record saying he doesn’t love acting. Fox had a couple run-ins with the law several years ago, and he popped up in the news recently when his Bend, Oregon, house went on the market. Below, Fox and his wife Margherita Ronchi and their son, Byron, take in a tennis match in Rome, Italy, in May 2018.

Calista Flockhart
Calista Flockhart found a starring role in late ’90s/early ’00s classic “Ally McBeal” and then jumped quickly from that into the family drama “Brothers and Sisters.” But after the latter went off the air, Flockhart took a more low-key acting path. She had a prime role as Cat Grant on “Supergirl” until the show switched filming locations from Los Angeles to Vancouver and she became an occasional guest star. Perhaps she’s just more content spending time with her son, Liam, and husband, Harrison Ford.

Jack Nicholson
Iconic actor Jack Nicholson hasn’t been seen in anything since 2010’s “How Do You Know.” A U.S. remake of “Toni Erdmann” was supposed to bring Nicholson back to the big screen, but he backed out of the project. His friend Peter Fonda says Nicholson is basically retired.

Cameron Diaz
Remember the days of “There’s Something About Mary,” “Shrek,” “Charlie’s Angels” and the many other films that made Cameron Diaz famous? Where’d she go? Apparently, the last movie the actress appeared in was “Annie” in 2014. Turns out she’s retired from acting and is just enjoying life with husband Benji Madden. Though Diaz did say in a recent interview that she’d be open to a sequel to “The Sweetest Thing.”

Amanda Bynes
The former teen comedian had a very public breakdown several years ago. After receiving treatment, she’s kept a low-profile life. She hasn’t acted on screen since 2010, instead choosing to go to fashion school. Though she did say in a 2017 interview that she’d like to get back into television acting.
Getty Images | Jason Merritt
Dominic Monaghan
The “Lord of the Rings” and “Lost” actor Dominic Monaghan hasn’t had a big role since “Lost” went off the air in 2010. He’s slated to appear in the Australian television drama “Bite Club” and he just scored a part in the currently filming “Star Wars: IX,” though what his role will be remains to be seen.
Getty Images | Jonathan Leibson
Bridget Fonda
Peter Fonda’s daughter (and Jane’s niece) Bridget made a name for herself in movies like “It Could Happen To You” and “Single White Female.” Fonda hasn’t had a screen credit since 2002, but she’s no doubt been busy raising her son, Oliver, whom she shares with music composer husband Danny Elfman.
Getty Images | Frazer Harrison
Chuck Norris
The last big roles the martial artist and actor best known for “Walker, Texas Ranger” did were in 2005. In recent years, he’s been supporting his wife through health issues. Even though Norris himself is in semi-retirement, his tough-guy legend lives on through things like the popular Chuck Norris Facts meme.
Getty Images | Jerry Markland
Dennis Franz
“Hill Street Blues” and “NYPD Blue” actor Dennis Franz hasn’t acted since the latter went off the air in 2005. Apparently, it was a hard act to follow. Now, Franz is just enjoying retirement. He did present an Emmy award with co-star Jimmy Smits at the 2016 awards ceremony.
Getty Images | Kevin Winter
Doris Day
Iconic ’50s and ’60s actress and singer Doris Day has been in too many great films to list them all. But the actress hasn’t appeared on screen since her sitcom “The Doris Day Show” went off the air in 1973. Instead, the now-96-year-old is known as an animal welfare activist with her own foundation, and lives in Carmel-by-the-Sea, California.
Wikimedia Commons | Paramount
Gene Hackman
Prolific actor Gene Hackman isn’t planning to come back to acting, having been retired for a number of years now. His last role was in “Welcome to Mooseport” in 2004. He and his second wife live in Santa Fe, New Mexico, where he enjoys bicycling and writes books.
Getty Images | Vince Bucci
Rick Moranis
“Little Shop of Horrors,” “Ghostbusters,” “Spaceballs” and “Honey, I Shrunk the Kids” actor Rick Moranis seemed to be all over the place in the ’80s and early ’90s. Then his wife passed away and Moranis stepped out of the spotlight to raise his kids. He’s done mostly small parts, voiceover work and country comedy albums (believe it or not) in the years since. He recently came out of retirement to reprise the voice of Dark Helmet from “Spaceballs” in an episode of “The Goldbergs.”
Getty Images | Theo Wargo
Randy Quaid
Randy Quaid might be best known for “Independence Day” and the “National Lampoon” movies, plus some erratic behavior in the last decade-plus. But the Oscar-nominated actor is due to return in the movie “Weight” this year after a nine-year absence from the screen.
Getty Images | Scott Halleran
Mary-Kate And Ashley Olsen
The Olsen twins have put acting behind them. Mary-Kate and Ashley declined to join the “Fuller House” reunion with their old “Full House” costars and don’t like to be in front of the camera much anymore either. The twins run clothing lines The Row and Elizabeth and James together. Mary-Kate is also married to French financier Olivier Sarkozy while Ashley is unattached.
Getty Images | Theo Wargo
Emilio Estevez
Emilio Estevez, son of Martin Sheen and brother of Charlie Sheen, has taken a quieter career path since his “Mighty Ducks” and “Breakfast Club” days. He’s focused more on writing and directing, such as in the 2010 film“The Way,” which he collaborated on with his father.
Getty Images | Matt Winkelmeyer
Ali MacGraw
“Love Story” actress Ali MacGraw has been off the screen since 1997. She toured with “Love Story” co-star Ryan O’Neal doing the play “Love Letters” in 2015. But nowadays, she lives in New Mexico, does yoga, is involved in animal welfare causes and designs clothes.

Sean Connery
Even legendary actors with prolific careers want to retire at some point. Or so it is with Sean Connery, whose last onscreen credit was 2002’s “The League of Extraordinary Gentlemen.” Connery is living a quiet retirement in the Bahamas with occasional public sightings, like at the U.S. Open.

Mara Wilson
Mara Wilson was a well-known child actor back in the early ’90s. “Mrs. Doubtfire,” “Miracle on 34th Street” and “Matilda” made her famous. But a few years after her mother passed away, Wilson decided she was largely done with acting. She’s had a few bit parts primarily as a voice actor in more recent years, but Wilson is now focusing on a career in writing, and recently published a memoir.

Jack Gleeson
The “Game of Thrones” king hasn’t acted since he was killed off of the HBO miniseries. Instead, he did his university studies at Trinity College and has made a lot of fan convention appearances, too. He’s also gone on humanitarian missions.

CLARY:
☆ 𝓁𝒾𝓉𝓉𝓁𝑒 𝑔𝒾𝓇𝓁 𝓌𝒽𝑜 𝓈𝓉𝑜𝓅𝓅𝑒𝒹 𝒶 𝒷𝑔 𝓌𝒶𝓇 | main : BOOK COMPLIANT. Clary Fray had her life turned upside down when she was 16, discovering she was a shadowhunter and the only one who could stop this secret world’s greatest threat: her father. This is set during the events of the Mortal War and Dark War.
☆ 𝓉𝒽𝒾𝓈 𝒾𝓈 𝓌𝒽𝑜 𝓎𝑜𝓊 𝒶𝓇𝑒 | show : SHOW COMPLIANT. Clary Fray had her life turned upside down when she was 18, discovering she was a shadowhunter and the only one who could stop this secret world’s greatest threat: her father. It seems her brother is also someone she must stop. ( this will be my main default for show canon only muses, but i am primarily book based blog )
☆ 𝓉𝒽𝒾𝓈 𝓌𝑜𝓇𝓁𝒹 𝒾𝓃𝓋𝑒𝓇𝓉𝑒𝒹 | alternate : Clary Fray is a normal girl, going to university, hanging with friends and spending time with her family. She has an amazing mother, a hilarious father, and a great older big brother. So, why does something feel off? (1x10)

Whether or not she has the fairy ring connecting her to Simon will be decided on a case by case basis. (Jace, Simon, and Johnathan muses ONLY)
☆ 𝓇𝓊𝓃𝓈 𝓌𝒾𝓉𝒽 𝓌𝑜𝓁𝓋𝑒𝓈 | tw: Alec sent Clary to Beacon Hills when they got wind of some really nasty stuff coming from their area, smelling an awful lot like werewolves. She was told that the McCall pack was not to be trusted and has no reason to believe otherwise. On the note of Theo: they have laws that his crimes do not follow him back from the dead, she doesn’t agree with this, but knows she cannot condemn him for them or show prejudice.
☆ 𝒶𝒹𝒹𝒾𝓃𝑔 𝓈𝓊𝓅𝑒𝓇 𝓉𝑜 𝓉𝒽𝑒 𝓂𝒾𝓍 | mcu/dc : With the Arrow, the Flash, Supergirl, Superman and tons of others appearing the Institute has had to start making plans for aliens and metas. Clary is a representative for the Clave that Alec has put in charge of a lot of the affairs while laws are drawn up. The D.E.O. and A.R.G.U.S. are working with the Clave to keep everyone in line. Clary mostly deals with informing the others of the shadow world and helping when problems with demons arise.
☆ 𝒾𝓂 𝓃𝑜𝓉 𝑜𝓃𝑒 𝑜𝒻 𝓉𝒽𝑒𝓂 | rd : Clary Fairchild-Blossom is from Denmark. She was born as the golden daughter of Christopher Blossom, until it was found out she was actually the daughter of his affair to Jocelyn Fairchild when she was ten. The loving family she’d once known cast her aside as a disgrace. She cut herself off from them when she realized how shallow they were. She was sent to Riverdale after her mother’s passing, only to find out her cousin Jason had died.
☆ 𝒻𝒾𝓇𝑒 𝒽𝒶𝒾𝓇 𝓂𝒶𝓉𝒸𝒽𝑒𝓈 𝓉𝒽𝑒 𝒽𝑒𝒶𝓇𝓉 | spn : Clarissa is an angel who fell in love with a demon and fell to be with him in Hell. She kept her grace and even joined in helping other demons. However, when her love died she left Hell, now both demons and angels hate her. She wants to return home but doesn’t know how to start. She’s currently trying to do good on Earth as penance.
☆ 𝒾𝓂 𝒶 𝓇𝑒𝒶𝓁 𝑔𝒾𝓇𝓁 | ouat : Clary is one of the daughters of Duchess from The Aristocats. She ran away from her family in search of an adventure like the one her mom had always told her about. She eneded up sneaking onto a ship and landing herself on Neverland Island. She didn’t escape until a group opened a portal to Storybrooke. However, when she went through she was transformed from cat to human.
☆ 𝓁𝒾𝓀𝑒 𝒻𝒶𝓉𝒽𝑒𝓇 𝓁𝒾𝓀𝑒 𝒹𝒶𝓊𝑔𝒽𝓉𝑒𝓇 | seraphina : Sera was born in her mother’s arms next to her father and older brother. When Jocelyn ran not even a week later her mother lost her just a portal closed. Jocelyn came back for her not even 24 hours later, but Valentine had already staged the fire and left with his two experiments. She grew up along side her brother and is only too happy to whatever is asked of her by her father. She believes Jocelyn to be dead and she has avast interest in their surrogate brother Jace, where as Jonathan seems to dislike him despite never having met him.
MAGNUS:
☆ 𝓎𝑜𝓊 𝑒𝓃𝒹𝓊𝓇𝑒 | main : Magnus Bane, 400+ year old High Warlock of Brooklyn. Fought in both the Mortal War and Dark War. Is happy to help a selective group of friends, and honestly wish the rest would just shut up. (Book Based)
☆ 𝓉𝑜 𝓁𝒾𝓋𝑒 𝒾𝓈 𝓉𝑜 𝓁𝑜𝓋𝑒 | show : Magnus Bane is the high warlock of Brooklyn, ward keeper of the New York Institute, club owner, and apparently the shadowhunters on call warlock. (Show Based)
☆ 𝒾𝓋𝑒 𝒷𝑒𝑒𝓃 𝒹𝑜𝓇𝓂𝒶𝓃𝓉 | inverted : (part 1)Magnus Bane, previous High Warlock of Brooklyn, now does parlor tricks for a living. With the shadow world having been quiet Magnus has resourced to living a mundane life. (part 2) Until a young girl named Clary Fairchild came calling. Now with his magic restored he vows to never lose it again.
☆ 𝓃𝑜𝓇𝓂𝒶𝓁 𝒾𝓈 𝒷𝑜𝓇𝒾𝓃𝑔 | mundane : Magnus Bane graduated from NYU with perfect grades and a degree in fashion design. He currently works as a “closet assistant” for the Vogue Magazine office in New York.
☆ 𝓂𝒶𝑔𝒾𝒸 𝒾𝓈 𝓂𝓎 𝓈𝓅𝑒𝒸𝒾𝒶𝓁𝓉𝓎 | hogwarts : Magnus is the potions professor at Hogwarts. He’s a Slytherin/Ravenclaw (partner dependent) alumni, and is also the Head teacher of said house. I also have a younger subplot to this verse where Magnus is still a student.
☆ 𝓁𝑒𝓉 𝓂𝑒 𝒷𝑒 𝓎𝑜𝓊𝓇 𝒷𝒶𝒹 𝒷𝑜𝓎 𝓅𝒽𝒶𝓈𝑒 | high school : Magnus Bane grew up in Indonesia, was shipped off to England at 16 by his step-father, moved to New York when he was 18. Magnus’ biological father has been attempting to contact him, but Magnus is trying to avoid it. His biological father has also sent him a large sum of money, and while Magnus had no intention of creating a relationship he’s also not stupid enough to turn his nose up at money. He’s in his last year of high school. He can’t wait to get out and go off to college. He plays up the bad boy act, constantly talking back to teachers, skipping class, showing up to school hungover. He doesn’t care what other’s think, and just wants to be left alone.
☆ 𝓇𝑜𝓎𝒶𝓁𝓉𝓎 𝒷𝓇𝑒𝑒𝒹𝓈 𝒸𝓇𝓊𝑒𝓁𝓉𝓎 | dark : Magnus decided to abandon the mundane world after he’d been hurt one too many times. He went to Edom, and with dark magic he’d harnessed was able to murder his father, taking his rightful place on the throne.
☆ 𝒷𝒾𝓅𝓅𝒾𝓉𝓎 𝒷𝑜𝓅𝓅𝒾𝓉𝓎 𝒷𝒾𝓉𝒸𝒽 𝓅𝓁𝑒𝒶𝓈𝑒 | disney : Magnus bane is the son of king Asmodeus or Edom. Edom is a cruel and unjust kingdom. Magnus never intended to take over, so he spent his time learning magic (due to the dark energy within him) and alchemy. He ran away at the young age of 16. Due to Asmodeus’ love of the dark arts Magnus had been made immortal. Asmodeus died many years ago, but Magnus has no interest in playing king to a kingdom full of greed and demonic presence. Instead, he travels the land, aiding those who need it with his magic, for a small price. He is feared by many, due to his ability to wage war with the snap of his fingers, though he’d never found a need to.
☆ 𝓅𝓊𝓁𝓁𝒾𝓃𝑔 𝒶 𝒸𝓇𝒶𝓏𝓎 𝑒𝓎𝑒 | firefly : magnus bane is a name known across many galaxies. he is an enemy of the alliance, and a business man. he deals in secrets and rumors. he knows things that are meant to be unknown and is vastly proud of it. he lives a life of luxury, and enjoys it highly. he is also the man to go to if you need anything the alliance has deemed illegal. the alliance knows what he does but has no proof.
☆ 𝓈𝒽𝑜𝓋𝑒 𝓉𝒽𝑒 𝑔𝑜𝒹𝒻𝒶𝓉𝒽𝑒𝓇 | mob : Magnus runs his operation out of New York, but it stretches across the East Coast of America. He is well known to anyone in the mob and gang scene, as well as the N.Y.C. P.D., not that they have any evidence of his wrongdoings. Magnus has legitimize businesses in both his club and a lot of real estate. He lives in a mansion with most of the trusted men and women in his operation. He’s leading in the New York scene, both because he never lies and because he is also the only one with access to Santiago approved drugs.
☆ 𝑔𝒾𝓋𝑒𝓃 𝑜𝓃𝓁𝓎 𝑜𝓃𝒸𝑒 | cmbyn : Magnus has been a friend of Mr. Perlman’s for many years, the two having even traveled together for a time. However, he’s never come to stay with them on their summer trips to Italy, until now. Magnus is content to spend his summer enjoying the simpler things in life, instead of the hectic New York fashion world he works in year round.
☆ 𝒶𝓂𝑜𝓃𝑔 𝓉𝒽𝑒 𝒹𝓊𝓈𝓉 | marvel : Warlocks have existed for at least as long as written history, but anyone that can feel magic will tell you it’s been part of the world since the dawn if time. They are an extremely rare breed, only a few hundred ever alive at one time. Most hide amongst the mutants, able to pass their abilities off as a mutation. Every warlocks magic is specific to them, and entirely their own. They draw most of their power from the Earth, but they are inherently magical and don’t need any magical focus, magic flows through them.
Due to such a low amount of warlocks, their is an underground network. The Warlock Network. It’s the easiest, fastest, and safest way for warlocks to get in touch with one another. It is commonly used as a market, a way to trade ingredients and information, but it is also how a warlock can send out an alert that they’re in trouble or that someone is gunning for warlocks.
Magnus himself leads a relatively calm life. He’s a fashion designer and wildly popular among the Upper East Side, despite his residing in Brooklyn. He lives off multiple fortunes he’s made over the years and works for fun. He also runs one of the hottest clubs in New York, Pandemonium. Living in New York meant that there was constantly life threatening occurrences thanks to the different superheroes that inhabited the city. Magnus never bothered to get involved. As long as himself and those he cared about were safe than the guys in tights could handle the rest. That doesn’t mean that Magnus’ status does not afford him certain super friends, however.
note: warlock marks exist but not every warlock has them
☆ 𝒾𝒻 𝓁𝑜𝑜𝓀𝓈 𝒸𝑜𝓊𝓁𝒹 𝓀𝒾𝓁𝓁 | thg : Magnus is one of the most sought after designers in the capitol and when it comes to the games he’s given to only the best of the best. Magnus was a victor himself but he refused to be a trainer. He has severe ptsd from the games. He is able to watch the games, but he has nightmares, can’t enter any desert areas (his arena was desert), and certain insect sounds will trigger him.
☆ 𝓁𝒾𝒻𝑒 𝒻𝒾𝓃𝒹𝓈 𝒶 𝓌𝒶𝓎 | jurassic world : Magnus Bane had never cared about dinosaurs. Sure, he thought they were interesting an he found it sad that so many generations had lived without them, but that was where it ended. Then he met Etta. She was perfect in Magnus’ eyes, and she just happened to be a medic at the Jurassic World theme park. For the first year of the relationship it wasn’t a big deal.
However, when the one of the old herbivore trainer’s retired Etta begged Magnus to apply. Despite not needing a job, due to the family fortune he’d inherited, he did it for her. Magnus had no formal training with animals, let alone prehistoric ones. Yet, he surpassed a lot of the trained applicants and got the job.
Magnus started with some of the herbivore attractions, then moved up to also training some of the younger ones, an eventually it was also added to his duties to help care for the infants. Thanks to all his time spent with Etta Magnus is also an on call medic. He isn’t licensed, but if he’s closer than the on-site medic and it’s urgent he’ll sub in. He’s proven himself multiple times.Etta was diagnosed two years later. They found the cancer in February and she was gone by April.
Magnus closed off. He let friendships slip away and made no effort to make new ones. He refuse to do shows for the visitors, only working with the younger ones and infants. If investors come to the park Magnus will instruct an intern to deal with them. He still does any medic work need of him.
Magnus fell in love with the majestic creatures within only months of working at the park, but Etta’s passing cause him to have an even deeper connection and love for the animals. Magnus is extremely protective of the dinosaurs in his care and if anyone even mentions the park in regards to revenue he will leave the room.
