You screwed up your marriage. You do dead-end jobs. You can’t hold down a fella. And now… even your own son hates the sight of ya.
Aaron leaves with Gordon at the very beginning of the episode ending Danny Webb’s portrayal of Aaron. Note I’ve only focused on a few additional scenes here where Del gives Chas some hard truths and Chas gets back together with Carl.

my house of stone, your ivy grows (and now i'm covered in you) (2/?)
Robert Sugden is a successful farmer in the Yorkshire Dales. His life may be a lonely one but he's gotten used to it over the years – or so he tells himself. But when he's talked into hiring a recently returned Aaron Livesy, an unexpected spark between them causes his life to change in ways that he never would've imagined.
or,
An alternate universe where Robert never left the village in 2005.

take me into your loving arms (1/2)
Over the years, throughout the many ups and downs, one thing has always remained true; they feel safest and most at home in each other’s arms. They wouldn’t have it any other way.
A study in snuggles, physical closeness, and the non-sexual side of intimacy that Robert and Aaron both crave from each other.
read on ao3
i.
Aaron thrashed in his sleep again, whimpering loud enough to wake Robert as suddenly and instantly as if someone had yelled in his ear; his heart started, lurched, eyes fixed in the semi-darkness on Aaron’s quaking figure under the covers, forehead shining with sweat and his face contorted into an expression that Robert swore caused his stomach to twist with the actual, physical pain of being punched.
Because that’s what it felt like, now, it had felt like for months. Aaron’s pain had become his own, and what he felt, Robert felt just as viscerally; or so it seemed to him, each time he felt a phantom stab of pain in his left forearm where the deep pink scar on Aaron’s was, or a ghostly voice that sounded like Gordon Livesy echoed inside his head when he knew it was ever-present in Aaron’s.
Aaron suddenly turned onto his side, his whole body snapping up into a ball as if he’d been burned; knees shoved under his chin, trying to make himself as small as possible even in sleep, protecting himself from an invisible foe that Robert couldn’t see.
Then he cried out, a horrible strangled half-scream that set every hair on Robert’s body on end, and he reacted without thinking; he sprang, shoving Aaron hard onto his back with one hand, the sudden force of movement waking him instantly with huge, gasping breaths and round, fearful eyes shining wet and glimmering with pain.
“Robert,” Aaron whimpered, arms flailing against the pillows as he came fully out of sleep - and then he started to sob, tears cascading down his cheeks and soaking the collar of his pyjama shirt, a ratty old grey thing with a large hole in one of the armpits that Robert remembered he’d snorted at when Aaron had put it on earlier that night. “Robert, Robert-”
“Sssh, sssh sssh,” Robert soothed, reaching up to bury his fingers in Aaron’s hair and stroke through the sleep-mussed curls, rough with frizz but silky soft against his skin at the same time. He kept his voice low as he spoke. “It’s okay. It’s alright, it was just a dream. Just a nightmare. S’okay.”
What Gordon did to him is real, though, his mind supplied bitterly, and a flare of anger rose up within him, hot as a live flame. He hated the man. Perhaps there had never been anyone he’d hated more, except for maybe his own father.
“M’scared of him, Robert,” Aaron sobbed, crying into the pillow, which kept his voice muffled but still audible. “He’s gone but I’m still so scared.”
“I know you are,” he replied quietly, matter-of-factly, without judging or bias. “I think that’s understandable, no-one will judge you for that.” A beat of silence followed, Robert keeping up his carding of Aaron’s hair, the way one might comfort a crying child but - more. Always so much more.
He dropped his hand suddenly, opening up his arms wide. “Come here. Come here, right up next to me, as close as you can get.”
Aaron looked up through wet eyelashes, wary, then wriggled across the gap between their bodies, shifting so that they were toe-to-toe and he was so close he could feel the heat radiating off of Robert’s sleep-warmed body.
“Closer,” Robert whispered, “like this.” He reached for Aaron’s arms and wrapped them around waist, pressing his palms flat against the expanse of his back, bringing their hips and chests together. He wound his own arms around Aaron and pulled him towards him, then threw one of his long legs over his hip, drawing him so close that Aaron lay against him from crown to toe and their hearts beat in synchronisation between them.
Robert craned his neck and rested his chin on the top of Aaron’s head, dropping down momentarily to press a quick kiss there.
“There,” he said, “is that better?”
“Yeah,” Aaron snuffled gratefully, his hands clenched into fists on Robert’s chest. “Yeah, loads. You’re so warm, it’s - it’s nice.”
“Good. That’s good, Aaron,” he wriggled closer, pressing his cheek to the top of Aaron’s head, and tightened his arms around him. He let out a contented sigh. “I just want to keep you safe.”
“I know,” Aaron said, “And you do.”
“He won’t hurt you ever again,” Robert said quietly. “I promise.”
But the promise was unheard, because Aaron had already fallen back to sleep.
ii.
Waking up in a sun-warmed room as the first light of morning started to creep through the curtains, the duvet tangled around his shoulders and the heavy, deep breaths of the man he loved filling his ears, Aaron thought he’d never had a better start to any kind of day. Not in a long, long time at least.
One arm was slung around Robert’s waist, fingertips brushing the material of the pyjamas he’d borrowed from him the previous night, just under his ribs and he could feel the rise and fall of his breath, a soothing rhythm that reminded Aaron of where he was, who he was with, and how everything that had felt so lost and directionless for months and months had finally sharpened back into focus with one clear sight eclipsing everything; Robert.
Robert, his Robert, his husband, back home. With him, where he belonged.
He moved closer and wound his arm tighter around Robert’s waist, burying his nose in the crook of his neck. Call him weird or sentimental or soppy, but he’d always loved the way Robert smelled; clean, fresh shampoo, heady cologne, the fabric softener he always insisted on putting in the washing machine even though Aaron moaned that it made his clothes smell like a flowerbed. Warm skin and freshly-brewed strong coffee, real Italian leather and the citrusy spray he always cleaned the inside of his car with, reminding Aaron of oranges and lemons ripening under a hot sun somewhere tropical and far away from Emmerdale, somewhere they might go eventually, just the two of them...
“Stop sniffin’ me, it’s a bit creepy,” Robert mumbled sleepily, as always sensing Aaron’s presence in that particular way that he did, and always had. “If the guy I pulled last night turns out to be a cannibal, I might have to go back to Mike the chef.”
“Ha ha,” Aaron said sarcastically. “Don’t even joke about that, as if I’m ever lettin’ you go again - which is never, in case last night wasn’t enough proof for ya.”
“I remember,” Robert sighed fondly, and Aaron knew there was a hint of a smile around his lips. “You shouted at me in the street.”
“Yeah, bit embarrassing that, wasn’t it?” Aaron joked, fake-cringing, and Robert’s chuckle vibrated through his chest and into Aaron’s own. God, he’d missed that sound, deep and rich and mellow like honey.
“Not to me,” Robert said seriously, quietly. “I’ve - I’ve never felt more special than that moment when you opened your mouth and started saying all that- what you said about me. You make me feel - well, not an entire waste of space.”
“I love you, ya muppet,” Aaron said simply, kissing the back of Robert’s neck softly. “What d’ya think I went to all that trouble for yesterday if I didn’t?”
“You’re Aaron Dingle and you like a bit of drama?” Robert suggested.
For that, Aaron kicked him lightly in the back of the shins. “Oi!” Then he kissed Robert’s neck again, harder, letting his beard scrape against the sensitive skin at the nape of his neck, where the ends of dark blond hair curled in close like wisps of cotton.
“Love you,” Robert murmured.
“I love you, too,” Aaron said back, resting his cheek on the jut of Robert’s shoulder, letting the beat of his heart in the line of his jaw lull him back to an easy doze as he thought of the silver rings stashed away beneath an old cushion in a drawer, and the question he was going to ask Robert when he woke up for real in just a few hours’ time.
iii.
The sounds of the woman they’d rented the cottage from receded slowly as she turned in for the night, the sound of the door closing between her house and the one in which they were currently staying letting a wash of relief flood over their tensed, highly-strung bodies. They lay side by side, cheeks pillowed on folded arms, just looking at one another, neither daring to be the first one to slip into a slumber lest they waste the precious minutes and hours they still had.
It was early evening still, warm orange light washing the room in a golden haze and the sound of twittering birds could be heard outside the window. The only other sound was the faint ticking of a clock, the burble of water pipes, and the sound of their breathing in unison as they drank each other in.
The bed was small, just large enough to fit them both if Robert drew his knees up like a cat curling up in the sun; their socked feet brushed together in a way that made Aaron giggle when the sensation made his toes tickle, and his nose wrinkled up with mirth whenever it did. It was a sight that drew an ever-wider smile from Robert, who stared and stared at his husband without so much as a blink or a flutter of an eyelash, wanting to commit every detail of his view to memory, just in case...
...In case it all went wrong.
The thought was painful, unbearable. Optimism and hope had to mask the fear that had settled in Robert’s stomach like a stone, threatening to bring him to his knees at any moment. He’d made Aaron stay in the living room under the pretence of getting him to relax while he made them brews, so he wouldn’t see his hands shaking as he poured out coffee and stirred spoons of sugar into the mugs. And he’d ran the taps in the sink at full blast and pretended he was washing his hands afterwards, when in reality he didn’t want Aaron to hear him being sick because of the anxiety that buzzed under every inch of his skin.
“What are you thinking about?” Aaron asked.
“You,” Robert said sincerely. “Us. How much I don’t want to lose any of this...time, when we’re on a clock.”
“We won’t. We’ll be together forever soon, you and me, and it’s - I’m got gonna lie, Robert, it’s going to be absolutely terrifying, at least at the start.” His lips quirked up into a slight smile. “But we’ll have each other. That’s what matters. That’s all that matters now, yeah?”
“You’re the very best part of me, Aaron Dingle,” Robert said hoarsely, reaching to take Aaron’s hand. He reciprocated, twining their fingers together so tightly that nothing could get through them, not even the evening half-light from the sun that was slowly setting behind the window blinds. Their matching rings shone, glinting like cut diamonds, throwing sparkles of light into their eyes.
They saw nothing but each other, the vast, unknown future ahead of them another day’s problem. For now, they both rested their gaze on their joined hands, keeping themselves connected and intertwined, until the very last minute when they’d have to break apart.
But they’d never be apart again, not for the rest of their lives.

Is Aaron’s breakdown meeting your needs? I feel like it’s going the way I want it to and I’m really enjoying it. But seeing other people’s comments, I feel like I’m on my own.
I’m enjoying it. There’s a few of us, so you’re definitely not on your own! I don’t tend to post my thoughts on individual episodes unless there’s something specific I want to pick out, but I’m happy to share them so feel free to message me if you ever feel like you’re watching a different show to the majority of your dash haha.
I’m not sure what it is other people might not be enjoying. Most of the negativity I see is in relation to the Wendy/Luke aspect? And the odd comment on Liv/Chas… But personally I’m loving everything about Aaron’s breakdown and so far it is going exactly as I expected. I mean, we’ve clearly had the slow burner we anticipated with the signs to his unravelling throughout. It’s lasting for months, again as we anticipated. It’s all about Robert. (#WeAreBlessed.) Liv’s already been inadvertently hurt and it’s about to lead to her having another seizure. (And they’ve shown her deterioration to that pretty well, I think, too!) And Aaron’s finally started to lose that sliver of control he had which is what was enabling him to stay in the denial stage and focus solely on his revenge… But when he can’t stay in denial any longer and has to confront his reality, then we get the grief… Which is how we end up at Robert’s car on Thursday! (Yeah, I’m excited!!)
So, here’s why I’m enjoying Aaron’s breakdown so much:
1. Robert and their relationship is obviously at the centre of it. So we may be down half of Robron, but technically it’s still about Robron, you know. #Blessed
2. The Robert mentions! I mean, this just doesn’t happen nowadays. A character leaves and they just go into that void of lost characters who are lucky if they get mentioned once a year frankly. But Robert? Robert’s still all over the place like he’s still a part of the show and that is just so unusual in this era of soap. Which brings me to;
3. It’s actually fundamentally character-driven. Remove Wendy/Luke from the equation, everything we’re getting from Aaron’s perspective is emotionally charged. It’s the characters and their relationship driving it. We live in an age where soap - actually, most television - is, on the whole, incredibly plot-driven and fast-paced. Because the digital world has made the race for TV ratings and the instant gratification which comes from the readily available social media paramount and integral to a show’s success. This is why so much is drama, drama, drama, because they need people tuning in and they need people talking about it. But occasionally, Emmerdale do still take the time to deliver some character-focused stories. And that’s what we’re getting with Aaron. Not only are we getting Robert still being an integral part of the story despite having been written out, we’re also getting nods to Aaron’s history and that consistency with his character. They are not making Aaron just go and do some nonsense to cover up the fact that they’ve forgotten Robert ever existed or just how important he was to Aaron. Because they absolutely haven’t.
4. I just mentioned this one: Aaron’s character. We discussed ages ago that the most effective way to separate Aaron from Robert is to take Aaron in a new direction. That’s what we’re seeing here. However, I also just mentioned how this all ties in with Aaron’s history, too. And that’s what I’m loving with this aspect; the juxtaposition between the two. Past Aaron, and the Aaron he becomes now he’s lost Robert. We know when they were parted in 2017, they both resorted back to being the Aaron and Robert of old. The ones before all that growth they’ve been through together over the years. It used to be their safety net, the only other constant they each knew before they became each others’ anchor. So when that anchor was taken away, they clung onto that safety net. Well Aaron’s anchor has been taken away from him again now. He’s freefalling so he’s grabbed that safety net like he always does, and we have the return of the “chavvy thug” if you will. But there’s an added dimension. And it feels somehow darker. He isn’t just lashing out and reacting to things like he’s always done. He’s calculating, he’s manipulating, and he’s threatening. He’s attempting to intimidate Wendy/Luke. These are all very much Robert’s methods of getting to someone. The difference is Robert prefers to get into someone’s mind, whereas Aaron tends to rely on his physical presence. So we have the Aaron of old, and this Aaron with a slightly different edge merging together. Because let’s not forget this isn’t the Aaron Livesy who first walked into the village, or even Aaron Dingle. This is Aaron Sugden-Dingle. And remember, Sugdens don’t do self-pity. They do revenge.
5. The parallels between Aaron’s breakdown and Robert’s breakdown in 2017. I know I keep talking about them but it really is amazing how similar they are, and I’ll never stop obsessing over the similarities between these two idiots because they really are the perfect match. So we have not being able to sleep; seeing Liam about it but with an ulterior motive; drinking heavily; feeling empty; filling that emptiness with a Plan - an excuse for revenge against the family they blame for losing each other; total apathy to anything other than The Plan; reckless crime; Liv getting hurt when she gets caught up in it; blatant lying; crazy facial expressions masking their dead eyes… And now we’re about to get Aaron’s eventual emotional release when he loses that armour of denial, just like we got with Robert when he finally told himself he had to let go of the hope. I might have missed something, but you get my point haha. The way they grieve over losing each other is so strikingly similar because so, too, is the way they love each other. Because they really are two halves which fit together to make a whole, because they found in each other what they’d always longed for in their lives. Because they had always longed for the same thing.
6. Oh, and Danny’s acting. I assume this is self-explanatory, though. :’)
If I’m honest, I have struggled to really enjoy quite a lot of the storylines and the show in general over the last year, but Aaron’s storyline is not one of them. I am genuinely loving it right now!
#the fictional village now Robertless#can you tell by the length of this ramble that I am genuinely loving it?#haha#sorry I couldn't reply to this sooner though#but you're definitely not on your own :)

Me @ October 2014 me: Don’t go on youtube and see that Aaron Livesy returned to emmerdale in the August and decide to catch up on all his new scenes,
Don’t decide to follow his story again, don’t get intrigued by the cute blonde guy you hadn’t seen before on the show,
Definitely don’t get intrigued when the cute blonde guy smirks after Aaron pushes him against a wall, don’t read the first kiss spoilers on the bus to sixth form..
And DO NOT accidentally find yourself 5 years later sobbing your heart out at midnight over two soap characters...
Except, DO, DO, DO and do it again because I genuinely wouldn’t change being here with all of you and watching their journey for the world ❤️
#robron#personal#i wrote this last night at midnight through tears#hahaha you sap#but i think it still stands so i’m posting it

RETURN TO YORKSHIRE
read it on the AO3 at https://ift.tt/2ti3oLe
by chitwncat
This story makes major changes to the real Robron story on screen. In this story Aaron never met Ed and never went to France for two years. Instead, in this story the Whites and Robert move to Emmerdale in the fall of 2011 instead of 2014. Aaron and Robert meet in the fall of 2011 instead of 2014. The whole robron story then moves up and starts three years earlier than it actually did. And then in this story when Aaron meets Robert at Wylie's farm on the day of Robert and Chrissie's wedding and asks him to not marry her.... Robert listens. From there this story takes Robert and Aaron on a totally different life journey.
The first several chapters take us back and we relive 2011 - June 2018. We learn what has happened to the two of them these past 6.5 years. Then the story goes into the future from here. There is more fluff than angst if I'm honest but in the later half some angst will come into play. But for the most part this is a happy story of what might have been if Robert had admitted his love for Aaron and never married Chrissie.

This Is Halloween
Aaron Livesy - aged 3
A zombie. That’s what Aaron was dressed up as, green face paint on and black bag in hand, ready to go trick or treating. Chas clung on to his other hand, ready to go out onto the cold streets, the sky already a dark shade of blue.
“Will I get sweets, mummy?” He asked, jumping up and down excitably.
“We’ll have to see won’t we?” She teased, bending down slightly.
The streets lights illuminated the pavement an orange colour, Aaron’s little legs jumping up and down in excitement with the joy of being allowed out so late.
“Calm down.” A voice came from the back of them, stern and strong. Aaron instantly stood up a little bit straighter as Gordon walked past him, holding his hand out for Aaron to take as they both walked up their neighbours path.
Aaron squealed with excitement when his first neighbour came to the door, scary mask covering his face, hand holding out a large bucket of sweets, every child’s dream.
“Just take one.” Chas said, helping her son holding his bag open.
“Oh he can take more than that!” The neighbour replied, grabbing a handful himself and throwing the sweets into Aaron’s bag. “I doubt we’ll get a lot of visitors.”
That was true. It was a school night, meaning that a lot of the children in the area would have either knocked on doors early in the evening, or just come on Friday night, despite it being November by that point.
Aaron Livesy- aged 15
He’d ran out of home, leaving Gordon and Sandra to look after Liv. He had promised to take her trick or treating, just as he had done at that age, but after witnessing the arguments, and having Gordon raise his hand to him yet again, he grabbed his bagpack, shoved a few cans of Carling in it and ran halfway to the school, just so he could reach his friend’s house.
It was the end of October, and the year elevens had decided to have a house party for Halloween. Luckily for Aaron, it wasn’t at all fancy dress because not only could he not afford it, he’d ran out of the house with no change of clothing. One of the girls helping set up the party was a dab hand at make-up, or so everyone thought in the early noughties, so she shoved red all over Aaron’s face, smudging black under his eyes in an attempt to make him into some kind of devil.
The party started at eight, when the sky had blackened, and the lights from the house were the only things lighting up the street. With any luck, nobody would knock on the door trick or treating, because the music was so loud that even if anyone was speaking, people wouldn’t be able to understand them entirely.
Kyle and Aaron stood next to each other, both of them leaning against the cream wall, beer in hand and heads banging under the booming noise of Craig David. “How’s everything at home?” Kyle asked, lips precariously close to Aaron’s ear just so he could hear a whisper of his question.
Aaron just shrugged, not finding it in himself to talk about the afternoon. He knew it’d be bad tomorrow when he got home, but for now, he focused on swigging his beer and feeling the music pulsating through his body.
Aaron Livesy- Aged 18
He didn’t even twig that it was Halloween. Neither of them did. Jackson was still stuck in hospital, having pointless assessments to see if he could feel touches. They all knew he couldn’t, but none of them wanted to give up hope that he could regain his sense.
The hospital had been decorated, all green and orange and sparkly pumpkin fairy lights adorned the walls, not that Jackson could see. Hazel had come in, raving about how nice it looked, and how Heath and Cathy had been so excited all day to go out and get sweets that they hadn’t bothered to get dressed into normal clothes, instead getting into their pirate and witches costumes respectfully.
Aaron didn’t even realise, but his hand was placed firmly on Jackson’s wrist, rubbing at it softly. From where he was led, Jackson could just about see what Aaron was doing, and could definitely see Aaron’s face, expecting, hoping that Jackson could feel it.
“It won’t work.” He announced in a monotone voice, eyes fixated on the same crack on the ceiling that they had been for weeks.
“I know.” Aaron said, fingers still rubbing. “I’m still allowed to touch my boyfriend though.”
Jackson didn’t even respond, just closed his eyes and hoped that Aaron would stop soon enough.
Aaron Livesy- Aged 21
They’d been in France for over a year now. Ed had been successful at rugby, becoming a well known figure, whilst Aaron had been doing well building and fixing cars. They’d only just started allowing themselves to go out partying, after Aaron was constantly on edge that someone would recognise him from being on the run.
Ed had been invited to a nightclub with his team for Halloween, inviting Aaron as his plus one. They’d realised last year, but Halloween in a foreign country was completely different. Pumpkins weren’t sold in every shop, people weren’t big on carving them out and leaving them on their windowsills, and the children’s costumes were genuinely terrifying.
A girl had knocked on the door last year, and Aaron had answered it expecting her to be in a princess dress, but when he had opened the door, he saw realistic blood dripping from her eye, and a bloodstained shirt covering her body.
Now, they were on their way to a nightclub, both of them just in ordinary clothes, but with face paint on just to get in the spirit of things. It wasn’t Aaron’s cup of tea, not anymore. All he wanted to do was go home, and see Chas, and Paddy, and Adam. He was sick of being stuck in another country, branded as a fugitive back home, a nobody in France.
Aaron Dingle- Aged 26
He was a Dingle now. A Sugden, if you’d asked his husband. Now it was Halloween, one of Robert’s favourite time of the year, mainly because “he’s a sociopath who enjoys watching scary movies” according to Liv, who was sat at the table looking in a mirror as she applies liquid latex to her face.
She’d been practicing all month, copying tutorials from Youtube, even going as far as to attempt to scare both of Aaron and Robert when they came in from their date night, blood dripping down her face, left eye covered by tissue paper, making it out like she had had it gouged out. Aaron screamed, of course, not expecting it at all, whereas Robert felt a little jolt in his heart when he thought Liv had been hurt, but laughing as soon as she started smirking and cheering at Aaron’s reaction.
Chas had been on their case for weeks now, demanding that the lot of them go to the party that the Woolpack was hosting, instead of Liv going to a friend’s one and Aaron and Robert having a night in. Of course, Robert was completely up for it, wanting to go all out and look like Freddy Krueger. Liv had practiced the make up on him as soon as he said it, and Aaron hated it. He loved how close the two of them were now, thick as thieves. But he hated the fact that Liv was talented enough to freak him out like that.
Aaron had been forced into becoming the Joker, something that was easily achieved once Liv forced him to sit down. Chas had been so excited, running about the pub trying to get it perfect, cobwebs dangling from the ceilings, pumpkins on tables lighting the room up, while Marlon and Victoria worked tirelessly to get the themed vol-au-vents out on time.
It was Aaron’s favourite Halloween, definitely. Proper family time, with the people he loved in the place he loved.
Robert Sudgen- Aged 10
He really didn’t want to go into the village, not when it was a long walk and it was blistering rain outside. Sarah hadn’t even persuaded him to do it, she didn’t really care because Victoria wasn’t exactly elated to be going out in the rain. It was when Jack shouted, that Robert’s spine grew taller, and he chucked his coat over his shoulders, shouting his little sisters name waiting for her to come bounding in the kitchen wearing the witches costume she’d been wearing all day, hat and all.
She was a tiny little thing, even for her age. Ginger hair fell down just past her shoulders, straight as anything except for when Sarah plaited it. Victoria held her hand out for Robert, while she wiggled to put her wellingtons on. They didn’t quite match her outfit, but Robert knew the first thing she would do is jump in the puddles collecting on the floor.
“You behave for Robert.” Jack said, opening the door for the two of them.
Victoria nodded eagerly, probably more excited about getting sweets than anything else, and they left the house into the harsh weather.
“Can I splash?” She asked, tugging at Robert’s arm when she jumped up and down already.
“Go on then.” He said, rolling his eyes but grabbing her hat off of her hair before she ran off to the nearest puddle.
It took a good while longer for them to get into the village than normal, with Victoria wanting to jump in every puddle she could see. Robert had eventually fed up and said “The sooner we get to the village, the more sweets we can get.” which seemed to do the trick because she practically ran ahead afterwards.
By the time it was 8pm, her bag was full of sweets, and even Robert had managed to grab some from the pub when Alan wasn’t looking, causing his little sister, as tired as she was, to giggle behind her small hands. Now, he was carrying her back home, her head lolling against his shoulders, tired breaths huffing out every so often, sending a chill down Robert’s back with just how cold it was. It’d stopped raining sometime when they were in the pub, and Robert was grateful for that fact because it was hard enough trying to carry a sleepy toddler with a bag full of sweets in the pitch black darkness, never mind if the rain decided to lash down again.
Robert Sugden- Aged 16
The music boomed over Robert’s head, a can of beer in his hand while the teenagers of the village all congregated into one compact room, barely leaving any room to move. Nobody really wanted to be there, that was clear to see, but it was a night away from family and free booze, so nobody complained.
Except Andy was there too, brooding over a beer and Katie, who looked like a small fish in a big pond as she leaned against the wall with a glass of orange in her hand.
It was forced upon the two of them to go to the party, and with none of them actually going out of their way to speak to the other, the atmosphere was frosty to say the least. Halloween meant it was almost November, which to Robert meant it was almost the anniversary of Sarah dying, or rather, the anniversary of Andy killing their, his mother.
“Are you two still not speaking?” Ollie asked, obnoxious green tracksuit jacket over her, a lazily drawn skull on her face, attempting to get into the spooky spirit.
“No.” Robert said, eyes still locked on Andy’s, taking a sip of his beer. “Why would we be?”
Ollie rolled her eyes, completely fed up of the feuding between her friends. “Because you’re brothers! You need to get on a some point. C’mon, it never used to be like this Rob.”
His eyes fell from Andy’s stare, instantly locking on to Ollie’s, “He’s not my brother.” He spat, slamming the now empty can on the sideboard, picking up another simultaneously.
“Adoptive brother or whatever then!” She retracted. “My point is, you’ve both got a little sister, and she’s just lost her mum as well. She needs her brothers, both of them, to be around for her.”
Robert Sugden- Aged 24
It had been five years since Robert had left the village. Since Jack had told him to drive and not come back. Now, his dad had died, and Robert didn’t even go to funeral.
He was stuck in London it seemed, a once unfamiliar place that he now calls home. It was hard work, but he climbed his way up the ladder, doing nights on end of bar work, jumping from scene to scene, mixing cocktails and pulling pints. At one point, he was bringing home men and women every night, to whatever hotel he could afford for a few weeks.
It wasn’t ideal, and Robert was aware of that, but his self-taught talent enabled him to live in the capital city, miles away from Emmerdale, so he couldn’t really complain.
Halloween was always a mental night to be working the bar, any holiday was, but Halloween was definitely the main one where people would spend hours getting ready just to dance all the make up and face paint off in the dark. It seemed ridiculous, but it was always entertaining and a high earner.
Robert leaned against the bar, his uniform a nice fit, tight in all the right places. The boss had allowed the workers to wear their own face paint, so his face was an off shade of green with eye liner streaks of stitches above his eyebrow and across his cheek.
“Cider please mate?” A customer asked, devil horns stuck to his face and shirt ripped, fake blood dotted all over.
“Magners do ya?” Robert asked, looking at the ciders they stored in the fridge.
“Perfect.” He said, arm reaching behind him to pull out his wallet. “Not from round here are you?”
Robert raised his eyebrows, pulling change out from the till. “No, Yorkshire born and bred.”
“Leeds?” The man questioned.
“Just outside of it, small village.” Robert said, slamming the till shut. “five eighty change.”
Twenty-four wasn’t Robert’s best Halloween, but it wasn’t the worst either. He was working, earning money that he needed, wasn’t homeless, but wasn’t at home either. As much as he hated Emmerdale, he missed the serenity of it, and how everyone knew each other. He missed his family half the time, Andy not so much, but Victoria definitely.
Robert Sugden- Aged 28
He’d been back in the village for a few days, with Chrissie and Lawrence. So far he’d managed to see the immediate family, Victoria barely letting him out of her sight for fear of leaving again without so much of a goodbye.
Home Farm. That was his new house. Robert remembers growing up in the Village, back when it was owned by the Tate’s, and now he got to call it home, no matter how much he despised that it was technically owned by Lawrence.
Robert swiped at the condensation on his glass, catching the cold water before it dripped onto the pub bar. Diane was stood with him, chatting with Victoria and Marlon, both of who had donned their chefs outfit, ready to make the vol-au-vents for tonight’s party.
“What are you dressing up as Rob?” His little sister asked, rolling her sleeves up.
“Oh I’m not.” Robert confirmed, ready to stand his ground.
“What?” Victoria practically shouted. “You used to love Halloween!”
Robert rolled his eyes, sighing. “When we were kids, Vic. Chrissie’s dressing up anyway, so it’s not like none of us will be.”
Without saying another word, Victoria looked down and walked away, like a child who had just been told off.
“Robert!” Diane whispered. “She’s so happy you’re back pet, and ever since you and that new family of yours announced you’ve moved here permanently, she’s been so excited for this holiday.”
“Look, I’m sorry Diane but I just don’t fancy dressing up.” He said, drinking the very bottom of his pint and pulling his face. “Maybe next year.”
Robert Sugden- Aged 34
At three years old, Ellie Dingle-Sugden was a confident little girl, best known for running rings around her dads, metaphorically and physically. From the minute she had learnt to walk, Robert had let her toddle in the middle of him and Aaron as they walked around the village and she had escaped from Robert’s hold, running off almost instantly. Aaron had chased after her, being the protective parent he is, and picked her up from behind, putting her on his shoulders as she giggled loudly, making Robert smirk.
“Taller than daddy now, aren’t you El?” Aaron said, lifting his hand up for his daughter to high-five him. Robert, as always, acted mock offended, and then pulled a sad face, making his daughter giggles even louder.
They were peas in a pod, inseparable since her birth, and even when people had told Robert and Aaron to go out and have some alone time, he’d still be texting whoever they had left Ellie with to see exactly how she was.
It was barely the beginning of October, and shops in Hotten had already started to get Halloween costumes and decorations in. Robert had been adamant that the entire family would be dressing up and going to the party in the Woolpack, because Chas had been organising it all throughout September and there was no way he’d be getting it in the neck from his mother-in-law if the four of them didn’t turn up.
Aaron didn’t want to dress up at all, rolling his eyes as Robert showed him his phone, scrolling through possible matching costumes. “Why am I the girl?” Aaron asked, taking a sip of his tea while Ellie sat on the floor in front of them, a picture book on her knees, tracing the words with her little hands.
“Wonder Woman, Aaron.” Robert said, shocked. “And you wouldn’t be, we’d both be Wonder Man!”
“You just want me to get my arms out.” Aaron joked, looking down at Ellie, making sure she was okay.
Robert rolled his eyes, locking his phone and putting it at the side of him.
“Daddy what am I dressing up as?” Ellie asked, getting to her feet and climbing up onto the sofa, sitting on Robert’s lap.
“Remember I took you shopping, El?” Robert asked, shaking his legs up and down, making his daughter jump about.
That picked up the interest in Ellie, and she instantly smiled and hid her face behind her hands, putting her finger against her lips in a ‘shh’ motion, something that her Auntie Liv had taught her from a young age. “Secret.”
Robert looked so proud, smile brightening straight away, cuddling into his three year old and kissing her head while Aaron raised an eyebrow.
“So I’ve got the two of you ganging up on me now?” He asked, opening his arms out for his daughter to climb into, which she did, instantly cuddling into Aaron’s chest.
When it was actually Halloween, a Tuesday this year, much to the displeasure of everyone, but luckily the children were off school, Aaron had left the house midday to help Chas and Charity decorate the pub. By the time they had finished, the entire place was orange and Liv had brought Aaron’s costume around for him to get into, saying that Robert and Ellie would be around soon.
Liv had dressed up too, as the Joker, because Gabby had been practising special effects for it all year round, creating the perfect slit of the mouth. They’d sprayed her hair green, stealing Aaron’s gel that he rarely uses nowadays to create the wet look.
“What’s Ellie like?” Aaron shouted to Liv, who had now walked past the bar and was ready to go upstairs.
“She’s so cute!” She shouted back, “Rob’s done amazing!”
Chas looks confused, grabbing a tray of food from Marlon and placing it on the table that was surrounded by decorative severed heads. “Is he surprising you, love?” She asked, stealing a cake cover in orange icing, decorated with a traditional pumpkin face in black icing.
“Yeah, he took her shopping and since then I’ve not been allowed to know what he’s got planned for her.” Aaron responded, sitting at a bar stool, putting a tealight candle in a carved out pumpkin before lighting it and putting the top back on.
Just as he got up to finish the pumpkins off, the pub door swung open, Robert stepping through first in the same outfit as Aaron, arms more defined than they used to be now he had started to do ‘actual’ work at the scrapyard. He wasn’t quite on Aaron’s level, but he had definitely started to gain muscle mass, and Aaron was very appreciative of it.
His arm was stretched out, holding the door open, clearly for Ellie. “Are you ready?” He asked, grinning as he pulled his eyes away from his daughter, to look up at his husband and mother-in-law, who were now both smiling.
Aaron nodded, before saying, “Come on out then El.”
And in she walked, brown hair in pig tails, fringe over her forehead and a long pink shirt on, covering way past her knees, only just showing the purple leggings. On her feet were a pair of white converse, the ones Liv and Gabby had bought her for her birthday, the ones she always wore.
Chas gasped, putting her hand over her mouth in shock, whilst Aaron’s face completely melted, seeing his daughter grinning up at him, head tilted to the side.
“Do you like it Daddy?” She asked innocently. “I’m Boo!”
“Course I like it, baby.” He said, standing up from the stool and walking over to pick her up into his arms.
In reality, Aaron should have guessed that she’d dress up as her favourite character from one of her favourite films, especially Monsters Inc. after she spent the entire year asking to watch it over and over again. She always giggled when Boo appeared on screen, always saying “It’s me!” and pointing to the animation, because, in her eyes, the fact they both had the same hair made them the same person.
Robert grinned, seeing Ellie cuddle into Aaron, before Aaron turned to him. “You got her hair cut?”
“Just a fringe, don’t worry.” He consoled, leaning in to kiss Aaron. “Looks cute though.”

Alternative (My Boyfriends) Robron Spoiler Theory Week 28
Disclaimer: My boyfriend absolutely and unequivocally HATES Emmerdale! He only watches it because it is the only show I have not completely given up. And I only started watching Emmerdale in 2008/2009 because of Aaron Livesy and his coming out story. And it was that same boyfriend who now HATES Emmerdale that introduced me to the character and show.
After my boyfriend read my recent Robert & Aaron spoiler predictions & theories for Week 28 (10-14 July), he told me I was completely clueless and needed to stop drinking Iain MacLeod’s Kool-Aid if I thought he had enough talent to develop and/or produce a story I was suggesting in my post and attempted to explain the complexities of during our discussion. He then suggested we have a bet (Terms at the end) on whose theory would be closer to what will happen.
I think my boyfriend’s theories are quite complex, but he disagrees thinking this is all simplistic and believes any complexities to his thoughts/ideas are the results of the storyliners being tasked by ITV to support Iain as they attempt to clean up the mess he has made of Robron. (FYI – We both love a good conspiracy theory discussion.)
So, below are his thoughts and ideas:
1. Iain doesn’t care about Aaron or his history of abuse by Gordon. He is only using it as a fallback to either add stress/drama to any and all situations for Aaron or to explain away Aaron’s behaviour when he either can’t develop an original idea or the idea he has is not workable or becomes unworkable.
The example my boyfriend supplied is the reveal on 25-May with Aaron explaining to Robert his attack on Kasim. The attack episode was developed with Aaron attacking Kasim because Robert ended their relationship, Aaron struggling to understand Robert’s bisexuality thinking Robert couldn’t accept his own sexuality, and then projecting his lack of understanding about Robert on Kasim who was not accepting his own sexuality. The reveal episode changed the narrative with Aaron explaining he attacked Kasim after he took his ring off, but Robert wouldn’t have done that had they talked about his fears about Gordon’s voice in his head making him doubt Robert’s commitment before.
My boyfriend believes this specific component of this storyline was changed/added because Iain needed a type of Hail Mary situation to not break the boys up because of Robert’s infidelity which was the original intent. Adding this new wrinkle of Gordon’s voice and having Aaron tell Robert he wants to forgive him because he doesn’t want Gordon to take Robert away from him allowed him to keep them together in the interim and attempt to carry favour with the “ardent Robron” viewers who drank the Kool-Aid from the article and the episode.
Additionally, this change puts sole responsibility for Aaron’s situation on his own shoulders somewhat absolving Robert of any blame on why Aaron was in prison. This was necessary because the fans were turning their backs on Robert and some were even demanding Robert and Aaron be permanently separated after he cheated feeling he was ultimately responsible for Aaron’s attack on Kasim, being sent down, and getting strung out on drugs. Iain couldn’t have the story he had started to tell ruin a power house couple like Robron that generated so much positive buzz on social media and were the darlings of the soap world so soon into his reign.
2. The incomplete 26-May episode will be finalized with Robert & Aaron breaking up on 14-July. Again, my boyfriend believes this was all changed because of fan backlash on the cheating storyline. Now that Iain has brought as many as possible ardent Kool-aid drinking Robron fans back on board with his reassurances of where the Robert & Aaron story is going, he can separate the two with little damage to the remaining fan base.
Aaron will be the one who breaks it off with Robert which was always the original intent. Unlike my opinion if they do separate, he sees there being animosity between Robert & Aaron. My boyfriend agrees with me trust will be one of the underlying issue between the two since this has been a recurring theme with Rebecca’s introduction. The stated problem for Aaron will be Rebecca* and the baby reminding Aaron each time he sees them of how Robert betrayed him and how he can’t trust him going forward in addition to his continued secrecy. The issues with Gordon will not be mentioned according to him until needed for the Aaron centric story.
*My boyfriend does have a problem with this direction for the story. If Aaron uses Rebecca and the baby (if it is born and is Robert’s) as part of his reasoning for splitting with Robert, logically and realistically speaking Aaron should NEVER reunite with Robert while either remain in the village.
His theory to get around this little problem and to help Iain “redeem” Rebecca in the eyes of the viewers is for her to be the catalyst for reuniting Robert & Aaron. My boyfriend believes since Aaron has visibly been concerned about Rebecca’s baby, that he will eventually develop a friendship with her as he sees her and asks after the baby (See Item #3 for additional redemption for Rebecca). Robert will resent Rebecca even more as he will see her as the reason for his split with Aaron. Rebecca will use her friendship with Aaron to reunite the two eventually allowing for Robert to reevaluate his relationship with Rebecca.
3. I based my theory and hopes on how I thought Iain was playing out the story for Robert & Aaron on the questions Chrissie had for Aaron about his father, Gordon. My boyfriend believes this was only mentioned to remind the viewer about the prison ordeal with Jason (compounded by his recent visit to Emmerdale) and Aaron’s reasoning for forgiving Robert. With Gordon fresh in the viewer & Aaron’s mind, Aaron will have some type of realization or breakdown that Gordon won and has taken Robert from him. This will give Emmerdale the chance to explore this upcoming “dark” Aaron centric story.
To further allow for Rebecca’s redemption and to help solidify a friendship with Aaron, Rebecca will have some part of this story to help bring Aaron out of the darkness with the Gordon story. Aaron had previously opened up to her about his abuse after he robbed Home Farm. She was understanding and offered advice on how to “stick it” to his old man by suggesting he use the inheritance to buy the Mill. Rebecca will remind Aaron (and the audience) her and Robert have no romantic future similar to how she reassured him she wasn’t after Robert before when she said “apparently I don’t come close” during that same conversation.
BET TERMS
If my boyfriend wins this bet, my penance will be as follows:
1. I can never mention or discuss Emmerdale or Robert & Aaron to him.
2. I can never watch Emmerdale again.
BONUS: If my boyfriend is more than 70 percent accurate, I can no longer have access to ANY and ALL Twitter accounts he puts on the “Forbbidden” list. (He is currently only suggesting this list include Emmerdale and the soap magazine & writers Twitter feeds. Note: I talked him out of including any of the stars or fans of the show.
If I win this bet, his penance will be as follows:
1. He can never mention ANY reality TV shows to me.
2. Each year, I get to choose 2 Reality TV shows he is forbidden to watch.
BONUS: If I am more than 70 percent accurate, he can no longer watch ANY and ALL reality TV shows I put on the “Forbidden” list.
My boyfriend and I have a wonderful Love/Hate relationship going on.
I love TV Dramas and hate reality TV. He loves reality TV and hates TV dramas.
The positive, we still love each other despite his crap taste in TV entertainment.

Top ships?
Hiya there!
Wow, amazingly 2017 didn’t brought many ships for me but I’ll give you my top 3 of times, here you go:
3.- Aaron and Robert (?)
Even tho right now I really don’t watch the show I’m basing this on 2016 and before September of last year they were my top ship.
2015 shows us Aaron Livesy Dingle & Robert Sugden getting involve into this deathly affair, the chemistry between these two was beyond reason, they both are fire and one of the reasons I loved it back then was how aside many negative aspects during the start you have two people connecting by their struggles and bringing out the good side of the other. They brought peace to other.
Thanks to this ship I’ve met the most amazing people on earth and I’m really glad because for me they will always be a part of me, which brings my especial mention OTP thanks to this:
Especial OTP mention: Chaddy, no i’m not talking about Chas and Paddy but me and my beautiful wife @sorenkingsley (Christy + Addy) who keeps dragging me into shows which probably will make this list longer. Thanks babe. We’re the real deal babe.
2.- Magnus & Alec
These two have been my lose my chill ship, my “I failed a class because of you” ship, this comes from the books mostly. In 2012, I became so obsessive with these books I would take them with me at school, I would make my presentations based on it, I would create web pages… I was obsessed.
Magnus Bane, was my ultimate favorite character above anyone in books (maybe paired with Draco Malfoy), everything he said brought happiness into my life and I craved more information about this sassy bad ass guy and I was blessed
When I heard there would be a movie, I screamed and shout and was expelled from the library for a month. Of course, the movie was… not what I expected.
I continued with my life, still buying them books until the news of a tv show. Of course, this time I didn’t get to hopeful and lower my expectations. The show has turned out to be better in certain aspects
but the books cannot be topped for me and as much as I despise CC, the books forever will be a big part of me and Malec my light in dark times.
1.- Isak & Even (Skam)
Of course these two are gonna be my 2017′s number one. Above all because this season brought some sort of peace I so badly needed then.
About this particular ship, we have the internal struggles of Isak Valtersen, the tiniest and snakeiest of my sons, about sexuality, mental illness, religion and relationships
Until the moment he mets Even and is able to accept himself and fell in love, also the cutest of moments I’ve ever seen on screen to date.
The chat with Sana about Religion and love, The growing friendship between these two characters was another beauty of the season. Two people coming from different places and learning from the other.
without mentioning the realness on everything, the beauty of his come out scene to Jonas is the most heartwarming, peaceful, chill moment and the fact the scene is based on a real life story makes it 100% more beautiful.
Basically, the reason they’re my top are the entire show in general. A show that keep teaching me when I’m wrong and let me know that I can be wrong as long as I learn from my mistakes, there is not perfect person, everyone has inner fights and he most important for me: You don’t have to deal with everything on your own, like I said I was on a real bad place when I started watching and this piece of advice allowed me to accept how bad I was and that I needed help.
This is alll, folks, my top 3 of April 2017. Have a good day! Lmao
#asks#Anonymous#skam#evak#robron#malec#tmi#long post#THIS WAS SO LONG OMG ADDY THAT'S WHY NO ONE EVER ASK YOU HTINGS LMAO#SORRY 4REALS I INTENDED TO BE SHORTER

Emmerdale star at centre of harrowing rape storyline says helping just one abuse victim would beat TV award
Danny Miller's emotional performance when he admitted he had been raped by his own father in the soap was heartbreaking
WIN or lose at the National Television Awards this week, Emmerdale star Danny Miller has a lot to be proud of.
Soap fans watched last year as his character Aaron Livesy broke down, admitting he had been raped by his own father from the age of eight.
Danny’s emotionally charged scenes not only won over the viewers, they also won him a nomination for outstanding performance in a serial drama at TV’s answer to the Oscars.
But for Danny one thing means more than any award ever could – the emotional encounter which made him realise how he had also changed the life of at least one real-life victim.
In an exclusive interview with The People, 26-year-old Danny tells how he has befriended a woman who had been abused by her dad, after she came up to him in tears at a football match.
He says: “She couldn’t really speak but you could see she was desperate to off-load.
“Once she had calmed down, she just said how amazing she thought the story was and how it had helped her to speak out about what happened to her when she was younger.”
The woman told Danny how she had kept her abuse quiet for decades, and had only told her own husband after seeing Aaron opening up on screen.
“She just wanted to give me a hug,” says Danny. “It made me more emotional because it was the first time I had met someone who had actually been through the same thing as Aaron.
“She said she felt so much better after speaking about it and that means so much more to me than any award.
“The three things I wanted to achieve were somebody telling me that a storyline is hard-hitting, seeing it affect someone who has been through it, and seeing it help them. All three things happened in what that one woman said.”
Danny is now in constant contact with the middle-aged woman and while she is not yet ready to tell everyone about her ordeal, she has discussed it with him at length.
“I am so proud of her. It is one thing telling someone you love, but another thing telling a complete stranger,” he says.
“This lady told me that she was troubled when she was growing up, she couldn’t stay in school because she was always thinking of this. She always had a reason to be angry.
“So that was another reason we wanted to say that it was OK to speak out – so people could turn their lives around.
“God bless that lady, she seemed so proud that she could be a different person now. When we set out on this storyline we said we would be happy if it helped one person, and it did. This one lady really made me think: job done.”
For Danny it has been one of his highlights of his time in Emmerdale.
The Stockport-born actor first joined the soap in 2008 and left in 2012 before returning in 2014.
This latest abuse storyline has now won him his third National Television Award (NTA) nomination and he is hoping it will be third time lucky.
However it might be slightly awkward on set this week as he is also up against his co-star Natalie J Robb, who plays Moira Barton, as well as Corrie’s Jack P Shepherd and EastEnders’ Lacey Turner.
Danny insists that he will still be genuinely pleased if he’s pipped to the prize by Natalie.
“It is the pinnacle for the soap actor. I feel genuinely honoured to be nominated,” he says. “But I will be just as happy if Natalie wins it.
"Obviously there is that personal thing where you do want to win it, I would be buzzing, but as long as Emmerdale pick up its rightful award then I will be happy with that.”
The bash at London’s 02 on Wednesday also sees Emmerdale go up against Hollyoaks, EastEnders and Coronation Street for best serial drama. And despite being one of soap’s biggest stars, Danny still finds the whole thing a little daunting.
He says: “If you see a picture on the internet of these awards ceremonies, there is always a dazzling beautiful girl with the long frock and then the awkward guy in the background – I am that guy.
“It overwhelms me a bit. The British Soap Awards is one thing, but at the NTAs you are waiting to have your picture taken behind Simon Cowell or James Corden. I get nervous. I just want to get in there, get sat down and find out either way!”
While Danny will have his Emmerdale family there for support on the night, he will be walking the red carpet alone.
If that is not daunting enough, he is also likely to run into his ex, 28-year-old Hollyoaks’ actress Kirsty-Leigh Porter.
The pair first met on the set of Emmerdale, where Kirsty played Roz Fielding, in 2010. They had an on-off relationship which eventually ended in 2014.
After being single for two years, Danny is yet to find love again. “Don’t get me wrong, I am not sat on a dating site every night trying for a girlfriend,” he says.
“But if one caught my eye then... Yet finding the time to get to know someone at the moment, given how busy work is, is tough. We lead very busy lives, working 7am until 7pm.”
“I don’t turn my nose up at it, because everyone is different and everyone meets their match in different ways.
“But ask me in 10 years’ time and I will probably be all over it!
“I just think you get to know someone better face to face. If it doesn’t work and they think you are a bit cringey or a bit corny they will walk away and you don’t see them again. I think I like to gauge a reaction face to face.”
Despite being one of soap’s biggest heartthrobs, Danny is remarkably self-deprecating and is convinced many of his co-stars are far better looking than him.
Commenting on his sex symbol status, he says: “It is flattering I guess – congratulations to my mum and dad!
“I do try to get in the gym a few times a week to keep everything healthy and working under the bonnet. But there are people like Adam Thomas and Mikey Parr who are much better looking and in much better shape than I am.”
Danny confesses that he doesn’t even like to watch himself on screen although he has been working on becoming less self-conscious.
“I don’t really watch Emmerdale unless it is the really big stuff,” he admits. “I used to get myself into a bad situation looking at myself, and I would think ‘Oh God look at me there’.”
That doesn’t mean he thinking of leaving Emmerdale agan anytime soon. He is happy to stay for the foreseeable future – although he still always fears he might get killed off.
“You don’t know what is round the corner. You could think things are going well then there is a massive storyline where your character ends up dying or going to prison and you are out of the show,” he laughs. “It is not within your power.”
Fans whose lives he has changed – like the woman at the football match – will certainly not want to see him leave. Danny intends to to stay for as long as possible – even if Natalie beats him to the gong.
“I love this place,” he smiles. I have had such a busy three years. I am happy to stay here for however long they’ll have me... and however long I can blag it for!”
To vote for Danny in the National Television Awards go to www.nationaltvawards.com/vote. The awards, on January 25, will be screened live on ITV from 7.30pm.

So it’s two years since Aaron told Robert he loved him – and besides how much that means, knowing Aaron’s history and his reluctance or inability to feel love for anyone else and I could do a whole post about that – it’s the next line that gets me.
“And I think you feel the same.”
Like, yes Aaron! He laid his heart on the line, but he did it because he knew Robert felt something too. There’s so much we don’t see on screen that I’m sure added to Aaron being sure enough to say something like this, but from everything we did see – from the ‘You’ll make me think I fell for a quitter,’ and the way he listened to Aaron’s advice like at Christmas, and the way he just did everything he could to be close to Aaron. Aaron saw all of that, and he actually let himself believe that Robert loved him too (which he clearly did at this point, imo).
And this is coming from Aaron “I’m not exactly easy to love” Livesy. This is Aaron who didn’t believe he was worthy of love – felt unlovable, felt like he didn’t understand why anybody would want to love him, had actually refused to believe when other people had said those words to him.
And yet, he’s telling Robert that Robert loves him, before Robert can even admit it to himself.
Their whole ‘You know’, ‘I know’ is, for me, one of the most important parts of their relationship. Because so much about their relationship has been about things left unsaid between them, rather than the few, brief moments where they open up to one another. Their relationship is on another fucking level, let’s be honest, and it’s because despite everything, they KNOW what they mean to one another, without having to say anything. They’re soulmates, and they know that without needing to tell one another.
When Aaron uttered those words, to an outsider all they were was a sordid fling, but to the two of them, they knew it was so much more already. And Aaron was the first to try and acknowledge that.
And that we’ve had everything that’s happened over the last 2 years, and now all of this is canon, it just…it blows my mind. And we’re getting a wedding!
Seriously, we must be one of the luckiest fandoms in existence, right?
#ignore me whilst i ramble#i have wedding feelings ok#i just can't handle how much they love one another#meta post#long post#robron#aaron x robert

Post Ep Ponderings February 16
What a mess for poor Kyle. So many people that love him and yet so many of those who don't seem to know what the Hell they're doing. You know, I don't disagree with Zak's reasoning behind how he dealt with Kyle's care, it's how he went about it that's the problem. He and Lisa aren't getting any younger and aren't the healthiest of people, but maybe discuss all that with Lisa BEFORE the social worker comes to visit. I think Faith getting involved when it came to Kerry really had nothing to do with Kyle's well-being. Faith is jealous of Lisa, I think, and Kerry stuck up for her. Some of it is Faith trying to get Cain custody, but that side of it feels more like she walked into the middle of something and started throwing her weight around without having all the details. Sure I think Cain would be a great dad at this point, but he's not wrong that he has to get some of his stuff in order before he could really do that. And really, Kyle living with Kerry and Dan would've been a good thing, I think. And now the poor kid is in care. I want to read Gustav's Appetite. The show could make a killing by selling Tracy and Pearl's book. Didn't that happen with that Nathan Fillion show? Anyway, I hope this story line keeps going, though I suspect that at some point Pearl and Tracy will have a falling out over this. So Emma finally said it, that Finn is acting like her. I feel like we're getting a combination of the two reactions I thought we might get from Emma. She showed her true self by torching the cab and trying to blame it on Kasim, and when she talked to Finn about it, she was straight up in her assessment of how Finn is acting like her and convincing him that how she acted will get him out of trouble (which if that isn't a how-to lesson, then I don't know what is). But on the other hand, she also warned him against continuing to be this way. I don't think it will work, but at least she knows things will only go bad if he stays on that path. Now I still just wonder how long before she's caught out on James's death and the car crash. Not sure she can plead insanity at this point. I love Carly and Marlon living together. I am a bit worried that she seems so hesitant though. I feel like something else is going to come up with this. I just need to enjoy it while I can. Wow, poor Liv. I'd swear, judging from the look on Aaron and Chas' face that they had no idea it was her birthday, not just that they forgot. That might make it worse though. From Aaron's side, I can see not remembering exactly. He left the Livesy house under horrible circumstances and he is a guy, and between then and when Liv comes back in his life, I could see maybe forgetting the exact day. And I could see it being awkward asking after all that time, however I would've thought this had been dealt with by now. Surely it must've come up somehow. It's been like a year. I did like Liv telling Aaron it's not all about him though. Not because I have any ill will towards Aaron in any of this, but because sometimes I think Aaron gets so wrapped up in his own issues that he forgets how some of what's happening to him affects the people he cares about. Not that I blame him for that, but I think sometimes the people around him need to snap him out of it and Liv did that a bit here. Sure, he should be worried and I kind of appreciate that what Faith said made him react to likely going to jail a bit more normally, but now it seems he's made a big swing from the oddly jovial back to giving up completely. I'm sure he's considered that Robert, Chas and Liv will be upset, but has he thought what will happen to Liv? Will she have to go live with her mum in Ireland? I'm not so sure. I was going to say something else here, but have completely blanked. Lol!
