The Nott he is friends with as a teenager is not the Nott who is part of the terrorist organization - Braggan Nott is the family heir and he couldn't be won over until their insane blood purity maniac father died. Fin was already such a fundamental failure of a son they just let him roll around in the mud (Tom's company). Tom would never admit it but he started obsessing over Nott once Malfoy graduated and upon hitting puberty dopey little Nott spontaneously became the new "Tom Riddle's hot friend".

Lestrange's family are also blood purity maniacs but they think as long as Tom isn't getting anyone pregnant he's fine to hang out with

Abraxas Malfoy is 2 years above Tom and was Tom's prefect. He sees himself as Tom's sponsor and is predisposed to spoiling him. His imminent graduation was one of the triggers for Tom acting like a fucking maniac when he was 16

Mulciber is also 2 years above him and a second-hand friend from Malfoy. He thinks Malfoy is kind of bratty and Tom is way more on his level.

Dolohov was a year below Tom. He is not part of this group dynamic at all and is kind of freaking out.

Rosier is highly sensitive to the fact he is the only normal person and straightforward friend to Tom in this entire crew.
